We could not have imagined a more perfect place to get married than Barn at Edgewood. From our very first visit, we knew it was special. Julie and Scott made us feel welcomed every step of the way. They were kind, responsive, and genuinely supportive throughout the planning process, which helped us feel so much more at ease during such an exciting (and stressful) time. It never felt like we were just another wedding on the calendar…they truly cared about making our day special!
The venue and property were stunning and the perfect place to celebrate with our loved ones. Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue and how beautiful the view was. We are just so so grateful and will always cherish the memories we made at Barn at Edgewood! -

The Barn at Edgewood helped us curate the most amazing wedding far beyond any of our expectations. They were helpful throughout the planning process by responding to our questions promptly and thoroughly. Julie and Scott worked with us on the details that we had always dreamed of for our wedding, and we are so thankful. They thoughtfully planned and worked with all of our vendors to ensure a smooth and seamless day. We will forever be grateful for them and would recommend them to anyone looking to get married in the Charlottesville or Stanardsville area. -

The venue is so well thought out! The suites were perfect, the barn lovely and cool for our summer wedding, and the views are just stunning all round! Julie and Scott are so kind and responsive, as well as professional, and really gave us so much confidence in preparing for and celebrating our special day! Cannot recommend this venue and it's owners enough! -

The Barn at Edgewood was the perfect wedding venue! The stunning mountain views, pond, and blooming trees created a romantic setting that made the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The owners, Julie and Scott, are incredibly kind and organized. They showed genuine care for us from the moment we toured the Barn. The bistro lighting, beautiful wooden arbor, and cross back chairs were nice details that added to this venue's value. We loved the getting-ready suites above the Barn and even stayed the night after the wedding! I cannot recommend the Barn at Edgewood enough! -

Amazing, best venue in the area!
Scott and Julie were wonderful. Very quick to respond to any need we had. Staff always on hand to assist. Beautiful venue and a bonus that you can stay there in the wonderful apartments above. -

We were beyond happy with the Barn at Edgewood and Julie and Scott. They were so lovely and so easy to work with from start to finish. We basically found all our vendors from their recommended list, and their recommendations were amazing. They made communication easy, and the weekend of the wedding was absolutely perfect. We really loved that they only book one wedding per weekend so we had the time and flexibility to drop things off and get everything set up. And of course, the barn and landscape around it is just stunning. All of our guests kept saying we couldn't have picked a prettier spot. 10/10 would get married here again. -

We were lucky enough to have our wedding at the Barn at Edgewood on April 22. The trees and grass and sky were stunning. Inside the Barn, our reception was a dance party and, outside the Barn, other guests were enjoying the tranquil setting and fire pit. We found ourselves happily floating between the two different vibes all night. What's more, our gracious hosts were so accommodating. We thought we would have to go with the rain plan of having the ceremony inside the Barn, but when the pouring rain magically let up for us, without a whole lot of time to spare, they pivoted for us and moved the set-up outdoors. We had First Look under the beautiful oak tree on the hill, and then the ceremony by the pond just outside the Barn. My husband and I stayed in the apartments above the Barn for three nights (Thurs-Sunday). We just loved staying in such a tranquil setting leading up to our wedding and loved "hosting" our guests on Saturday for the wedding. We wanted a somewhat intimate event - our reception totaled 104 guests - and it was an easy fit at the Barn (with some room to spare for a couple more eight-tops). If you want a tranquil and beautiful setting, and flexible hosts, look no further! -

Absolutely Stunning Venue!
Wow, what an absolutely stunning venue! Located in the foothills of Stanardsville just outside of Charlottesville, VA, The Barn at Edgewood has one of the most picturesque views of the Shenandoah Mountains I have ever seen. Words can barely capture how scenic this place is. When we toured the property for the first time, we were in awe of how beautiful the barn and the surroundings were and knew we had to get married here! We had our ceremony up on the hill with the mountains as our backdrop and had the reception of about 120 people very comfortably down at the barn. In addition to how beautiful the venue is, Julie, Scott, and Ethan were just an absolute pleasure to work with. They are incredibly nice and very knowledgeable about various vendors and were more than helpful in helping us navigate the many different components of wedding planning. They only host one wedding per weekend, so they are dedicated to help make your wedding the best it can be! You are also able to rent the rooms upstairs a few days before the wedding if you wish, which was very convenient. Because of the breath-taking views and immense hospitality of Julie and Scott, I highly, highly recommend renting the Barn at Edgewood as your wedding venue! -

I'd give them 10 stars if I could!
If you have your wedding here, you will not regret it! Not only is this a gorgeous venue (regardless of the weather), but Scott and Julie are some of the best people you could possibly work with. We originally toured the venue because the outdoor scenery caught our eye, but when we arrived it was a drizzly day. No joke, the property was still so beautiful and after five minutes chatting with Scott & Julie, we knew we’d be taken care of there. My husband and I (along with our wedding party) stayed at the two suites above the barn and I cannot imagine a more perfect day. I was able to bring all of the DIY supplies to the venue the day before the wedding and literally wake up the next day, go out onto the deck, and look out at the beautiful setting. It was that peaceful moment before the chaos of a big event that set my heart at ease. I’m so blown away by their hospitality and detail-oriented-ness. They had back-up plans all in place and were incredibly responsive to any of my questions or concerns. Barn at Edgewood was our first wedding decision and probably our best. You can’t really go wrong when you work with kind and hardworking people! My husband and I were quite sad to leave the property the next day, vowing to come back and visit, even if it was just to say hi to Scott & Julie! -

The Coziest Barn Venue in VA
Scott and Julie were absolutely wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were extremely personable, responsive, knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. The barn itself is clean, fitted with AC/heat, and gorgeous. The biggest draw toward the venue for my husband and myself was the 200 year old oak tree that we got married under. Mountain views behind the tree made for the best place for pictures and our couple portraits. It started raining on my wedding day and Scott and his team were outside wiping down seats and ensuring my wedding dream came true despite the weather. I could not recommend this space or these venue owners enough. -

The Barn at Edgewood was the perfect location to have our wedding! The location is 10/10 with rolling hills, mountains, a pond, and in late October the trees were colorful and AMAZING! Not to mention the adorable white walled barn with its green roof; it looks like something out of a children's book! The barn is spacious, it has A/C & heat and was perfect for both our rehearsal dinner for 30 and our wedding with 105 guests. We had plenty of space for 13 tables, cake table, sweetheart table, and a large dance floor. The indoor/outdoor spaces flow so well into each other and the built in bar on the patio was perfect for serving drinks to our guests. The owners Julie and Scott are absolutely wonderful. They respond quickly to calls and emails, and do their best to accommodate every request. The owners allow you to use pretty much any area of the extensive property for your event, and have several beautiful locations for an outdoor ceremony. We did ours by the large oak tree near the entrance and the 360 degree mountain views were amazing! The two adjacent apartments above the Barn were cozy, spacious, and cute for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. They both have balconies and made for some beautiful pictures before the ceremony. These apartments as well as the cottage on Julie and Scott's property are available to rent. I highly recommend using one of the getting ready rooms/apartments above the barn. They are cozy, well-stocked, and private. I cannot recommend this venue enough! The price is extremely reasonable for the area and you will not be disappointed! -

We got married August 28, 2021 at the barn and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision to get married here. Scott and Julie are were most helpful people, they answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner and even offered suggestions when it came to timeline and set up.
The barn is absolutely beautiful and we are so happy to have had our day there. We would recommend this venue to everyone we know! -

First off, the Barn at Edgewood was absolutely beautiful! The venue itself was so comfortable, and I felt like it was home for the weekend of the wedding! Scott and Julie are wonderful to work with, not only during the planning stages of the wedding, but also during the event. They make you feel so welcome and give you all the freedom you need to make the wedding what you want! And if you want fireworks at your wedding, this is the place for you! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Barn at Edgewood, as well as its owners, Julie and Scott Winslow. The property has the most picturesque views and offers a variety of ceremony sites for you to choose from, from the blue ridge mountains to rolling pastures and the cutest pond behind the barn. Our wedding style was rustic/romantic, and the inside of the barn fits that perfectly. I especially love the ceiling bistro lights, rock fireplace in the center of the room, and the beautiful farm table they offer - perfect for a sweetheart or head table! The two loft apartments above the barn are so lovely and are a convenient location for the bridal party to get ready in. It was so nice to not have to stress about the logistics of getting from the hotel to the venue before the ceremony. Plus, the apartments both have balconies with the most stunning views of the property - perfect for getting ready photos! Julie and Scott are some of the kindest individuals you will ever meet. They were so unbelievably accommodating and flexible as we decided to postpone our big reception from June of 2020 to June of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the planning process and on the day-of, they were extremely responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Lastly, because we had a lot of guests travelling from out-of-town, we loved that the barn is located very close to Shenandoah National Park, downtown Charlottesville, UVA, and countless vineyards and breweries. Our guests had many adventures to explore! We highly recommend the Barn at Edgewood and working with the Winslow family! -

Cannot say enough good things
I cannot say enough good things about Barn at Edgewood. It was actually the first venue my husband and I looked at and I instantly fell in love. I remember telling my husband how it felt magical there, but I thought there was no way we'd pick the first place we'd seen. Each venue we looked at after just couldn't compare. The views are incredible and the property is so well maintained, but what struck me most is how warm and welcoming Scott and Julie were. Their excitement to be a part of your day is so special and we appreciate them so much. Our wedding day turned out cool and rainy - not the weather we were expecting - and they did everything they could to ensure that we still had the most beautiful and wonderful day. -

I honestly don't know where to begin. Our experience with Barn at Edgewood was incredible. From the moment we toured the property, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. We pretty quickly booked them for our date. Over the next year, Julie quickly communicated with us, especially as things changed in regard to COVID. She was always just an email or phone call away. Closer to our wedding day, she, Scott, and McKenna met with us to finalize some of the details for the big day. They were all so friendly, flexible, and accommodating. On our wedding day, they were available for whatever we needed, set up our ceremony site, and even stayed to help breakdown. The apartments above the barn were a wonderful addition to their gorgeous venue, as they gave the entire bridal party the convenience of getting ready on site and with plenty of space. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with multiple sites available for a ceremony (and the barn is suitable for a ceremony too, if you'd prefer to be indoors or if weather is bad). Scott and Julie are a picture of hospitality and treat you like family. We had an amazing experience and would recommend Barn at Edgewood to any couple looking for the perfect venue for their wedding. -

The Barn at Edgewood is perfect. Scott, Julie, and Alec were the ABSOLUTE BEST managers for helping to maintain the integrity of a wedding while still maintaining social distance for COVID-19. Scott even cut a branch off of the tree the night before the wedding to make sure that it was exactly how we wanted! There were so many changes to our wedding plans, moving the date, moving the time, changing the ceremony site to be also as the Barn, and none of it phased Scott or Julie at all! They truly are the best in the business. The suites upstairs are breath-taking and the perfect place to get ready before the ceremony. I was touched by how much effort they put into making my vision come true for my wedding. -

Our wedding at the Barn at Edgewood was absolutely perfect. The venue was beautiful, we were given several different options on how we could set up our ceremony and reception, and the managers were extremely helpful in making sure our wedding day went exactly as planned. We loved being surrounded by beautiful mountains, water, and woods the entire evening. If we could do it all again, we would 100% choose to get married at the Barn at Edgewood. -

While we did not chose the Barn at Edgewood as our wedding venue, I would recommend this venue based purely off my tour. Scott and Julie are a very sweet couple! You can tell right away that they really care about the couples that choose to get married on their gorgeous property. They went above and beyond to make sure I saw every inch of the venue. Outside of Scott and Julie being genuine and super responsive, the property is so picturesque! The backdrop of the mountains will make for unforgettable memories and beautiful pictures! Although I know they won't need it, I am wishing the Barn at Edgewood continued success! -

We LOVED the apartments above the venue and chose to stay there the night before the wedding. After looking at a lot of similar venues around Stanardsville and Charlottesville we felt like Barn at Edgewood had the best bang for our buck!

The Barn itself is really pretty with two amazing suites and the downstairs reception spot. The outside property is gorgeous with the pond and the rose garden. Amazing hospitality, beautiful scenery!
The Barn at Edgewood is a five star venue. It is elegant yet rustic. Beautiful and functional. The suites upstairs are very comfortable and clean with all the amenities we needed. The catering kitchen space was spacious and accommodating. The view in October was picturesque. The pond and changing leaves set the perfect backdrop for the wedding. Scott and Julie are very professional and responsive. We couldn’t be happier about choosing their venue. Highly recommend. -

Great place
Such a beautiful venue to be married! the only thing I would suggest to future brides would be to make sure the cut the grass to your liking for your ceremony space. they used a bush hog for mine which left the grass to long and difficult to walk in. other than that I had an amazing experience with them. -
