We hired Barbara O Photography for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! She is just as organized and talented as she is personable, and I knew we would be in great hands from the day we met her. Our wedding was photographed by her associates who were absolutely wonderful, talented, cheerful, and made our day unforgettable in the best way. I would recommend her to anyone. Her prices are also very reasonable for this area and the quality you are getting! -

My wife and I eloped to Malta in June of 2025 and looking through Barbara’s portfolio, we just knew that we needed to fly her with us. Eloping abroad was already a bit nerve wracking because we were planning a wedding without the ability to really plan much at all (no hair or makeup trial, etc.). We knew that no matter what, our #1 priority was to have photos that would allow us to forever remember how magical our wedding day was. Honestly, I’ve been telling Barbara now for a year that she should raise her prices… a year later, we continue to gasp when we look at our photos… and so do our friends and families. Our experience with Barbara was truly magical. She’s an absolute ray of sunshine and helped even my wife feel comfortable in front of a camera (we were both incredibly anxious about her ability to relax and be intimate on camera). We can’t wait to hire Barbara to return with us to Malta for our 10 year wedding anniversary and sooner, I plan to hire her for lifestyle photos for my business website. Thank you Barbara! If you are looking for a low-stress, high-result experience, I cannot recommend Barbara O Photography enough. Of all the vendors we worked with for our wedding at the US National Arboretum, Barbara was easily the best in terms of communication and collaboration. She was incredibly responsive, and the 'hand-off' process to our associate photographer was completely seamless.
Our photographer, Lindsay, was a dream to work with on the day of the wedding. She brought a calm, guiding energy that was what we and our wedding party needed. She has a fantastic eye for scoping out the best locations; the Arboretum is a massive venue, but she knew exactly where to go to find the perfect shots.
Lindsay hit the perfect balance when it came to directing us: she let us be ourselves, but whenever we didn't know what to do, she stepped in with clear, helpful guidance. We love the final results—especially the scenery shots that perfectly captured the 'feel' of our day against the backdrop of the Arboretum. Our associate photographer Rachel was equally wonderful.
Highly recommend this team for anyone who wants a professional, organized, and artistic wedding photography experience. -

We had the most incredible experience with Barbara O Photography from beginning to end. While Barbara herself wasn’t the one physically shooting our wedding (one of her associate photographers did), the entire process was absolutely flawless and that’s a testament to how well she runs her team and business. We absolutely adore Barbara and loved every interaction we had with her. She delivered on every single promise she made. Communication was seamless, organized, and thoughtful throughout the entire process, which made everything feel easy and stress-free.
Lauren, the associate photographer who shot our wedding, was truly fabulous. She was professional, warm, and made us feel completely comfortable the entire day. Barbara is such a great personality that brings out the best in people for photos, and her photos of our wedding were perfect! We did an engagement photo session with her as well as our wedding. We don’t normally feel at ease getting photos taken, but Barbara was great at making us feel comfortable in front of a camera. She was a lot of fun to be around, and she is very professional and is very quick on the trigger to get a great shot. She was also great at getting both portraits and candids of our wedding guests. The guest photos along with the detail shots really captured the spirit and vibes of the night! -

It was a pleasure working with Barbara and her team. The whole experience was very easy and organized. She checked in to make sure we had the schedule and photo list. The day of went really smoothly and Lauren, our day of photographer, was fantastic in capturing moments and the feel of the day. Barbara's editing of the photos is just beautiful. We had a lot of compliments on our photos. I (the bride) am normally very camera shy and not always comfortable with photos - but Lauren made us feel really comfortable with good direction and we're so pleased with how the photos came out. TLDR - Barbara is a dream to work with, could not recommend her more! Our family has used her now for two weddings and I can't imagine using anyone else.
I was first introduced to Barbara's work in 2016 when she shot our friends wedding, and I was so impressed with the way the pictures turned out. They were beautiful and not cheesy - truly artwork you want to hang in your home. Since then, she has shot 2 additional friend's weddings as well as my sister's, so I knew I had to have her at ours!
The photos speak for themselves - she somehow perfectly captures the day, while also creating art. Barbara is also a total delight to work with. Day of she was bubbly and encouraging during the "posed" photos, and then perfectly slipped into the background to take all the documentary-style photos I was looking for throughout the evening. She got previews back to us SO quickly while we were on our honeymoon, with the full suite of photos returned to us well before they were promised. Now even 9 months later, my husband still catches me randomly smiling at my phone as a look through the photos, in addition to the various prints we have around the house.
Lastly, while planning a wedding you deal with so many vendors. Majority of them it feels very transactional and like they are almost doing you a favor by working your wedding, despite you paying them (a lot) for their services. This wasn't the case at all with Barbara - she seemed genuinely excited to work with us and made me feel valued before, during, and after the actual wedding day. Thank you for everything, Barbara!! -

Where do I begin?! Our experience with Barbara made our wedding planning and experience way less stressful! What a pleasure to work with her! Barbara and her team really knew how to capture all the important and candid moments, and the creativity was astounding.
It was easy to feel confident and natural in front of the camera with Barbara's style and supportive direction. Every session felt like we were hanging out with an old friend, just having fun. Her eclectic energy and experimental ideas were also a pleasure to incorporate into all of our photos! She understood the vibe and theme we were going for... to a tee!
Barbara and her team were so attentive and accommodating, especially with our detailed timeline and the questionable weather. Each and any worry we had that day were diminished simply by having Barbara and her calming demeanor on our team. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have found a photographer for all of our special events for life :)

Barbara herself is the reason you should book her for your wedding. We wanted someone who would add to the love and fun of our day, and after meeting Barb, it was a no brainer. I had seen Barbara photograph a wedding years ago and loved how she shot the wedding and loved her editing style. We loved Barbara so much we had her photograph our courthouse elopement before the wedding and she made both days so special for us.
She really is a no-stress kind of person and shows up with passion, dedication, and enthusiasm everywhere. We are not center of attention kind of people and she made us laugh and feel so comfortable. Barb sends you the cutest getting started package when you book with her that really makes the wedding planning process so fun and a USB after the wedding with keepsakes you'll save forever.
Barb is worth a million dollars on your wedding day and I always felt like she was worth every single penny and then some more. I wish I had asked her about her input on the timeline sooner as she was vital in creating that and she knew how to fix it to make it a stress free day. We'll look back on Barbara's photos forever and remember mostly how we felt taking them. The candids of our guests crying and laughing and dancing we're my absolute favorite part and there were so many! The photos we received were so amazing.

Barbara was hands down my favorite wedding vendor. As you can see by her portfolio her work is stunning, that speaks for itself. But my favorite part about Barbara was her personality and vibe on our wedding day. Your wedding photographer is someone you spend 8 hours with on the biggest day of your life, and no doubt things are going to go sideways that day with last minute changes, people running late, change in weather, etc... Your wedding day will likely be a very chaotic day, and I cant emphasize enough how great it was to have Barbara's calming and positive energy by our side throughout the day. She has such an amazing stress free vibe, that not only helped us navigate the chaotic lead up and tight schedule of the days events, but helped us relax, be present, and enjoy the moment. Which not only made us feel good and relaxed, but also results in beautiful and authentic photography. -

Barbara and her associate Lindsay were two of the most professional, supportive, and overall wonderful parts of our wedding planning process and wedding weekend. Lindsay actually shot our engagement session and wedding weekend, and Barbara was working with us behind the scenes the whole time to make sure we 1) and Lindsay were well coordinated, and 2) that our photos were beautifully edited to give them her signature style. From the first time we spoke, it was clear that Barbara is such an expert in DMV weddings - she had amazing recommendations for locations, backup plans, tips about navigating DC traffic when building a wedding day timeline, which was such a relief when we were trying to juggle lots of to-dos. Barbara was so thoughtful with the questions she asked us to make sure her suggestions and recommendations were personalized to us, and was responsive every time we had a question or needed a quick exchange.
And Lindsay is an incredible photographer - she captured so many candid moments that are such special memories for us now, and was so organized and calm throughout our sessions. I had friends and family remark during our wedding weekend how warm and kind Lindsay was, and how well she managed group photos and also captured candids without interrupting the flow of things.
It is so clear that both Barbara and Lindsay love what they do, and they are so extremely good at their craft and managing a reliable, professional business. Hire them!! -

We absolutely loved working with Barbara! We got married in Charlottesville, VA and used one of her associates, Lauren, and a second shooter, Erika. The partnership worked seamlessly – it was so easy to communicate with Barbara leading up to our wedding day and working with Lauren and Erika was a dream. We had a few things we wanted to incorporate differently in our package and Barbara very willingly created the perfect package combination for us. Barbara is absolutely amazing. Our first call with her was great. She is so fun to talk to and listened to all of our wants and needs for our engagement photos and wedding photos. When we met for our engagement photos she made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. It was such an amazing afternoon working with her and she took some incredible pics. She continued to keep in touch with us until our wedding day. On the big day she showed up on time was very professional with all the different employees and vendors. Before the wedding she emailed us asking for our parents names because getting pics with them was very important to us. During the photoshoot with our parents on our wedding day she called our parents by their names. My husband and I thought that was so thoughtful and impressive that she did that. We were sad our time was up with her towards the end of the night but excited to see the pics. The engagement photos and wedding photos came out so good. The way the photos look are so different than any other photographer. -

I came across Barbara's work years ago on social media and completely fell in love with her style and how she was able to beautifully capture couples in such a natural way that didn't seem forced or posed. When I got engaged, I knew that I wanted to work with Barbara! Although she wasn't available to photograph our wedding, we were able to work with her and her associate photographer, Lauren. Barbara was there every step of the way from the initial call to the final delivery of our photos and was so helpful throughout the whole planning process. And, working with Lauren was such a DREAM. From the minute we met her, we felt like she was an old friend and we instantly clicked. We had so much fun with her during our engagement shoot (HIGHLY recommend doing this) and our pictures came out so stunning. On the wedding day, Lauren was so calm and was always there to ease our mind and roll with the punches with us (all while getting soaked in the rain with us). From the very beginning my fiancé and I just “clicked” with Barbara! We scheduled a virtual meet and greet and discuss the potential of her photographing our wedding. She was very flexible and had a “late evening” meeting with us to accommodate my work schedule a commute at the time to ensure my fiancé and I could be together to chat with her. She began asking questions and an hour later it felt like we had been friends for years and we were just catching up, between the laughs, our mutual love of pizza and our fur babies, as well as he being very transparent about the process and understanding of our wants it was “meant to be”. Although we haven’t had our wedding yet, we did do our engagement session with Barbara in May and let me tell you, once again she did not disappoint! She travel to our small little bay side town where we met and accommodated my want of hitting 3 different locations… we yet again laughed hysterically, actually ate pizza this time, and felt so insanely comfortable in front of the camera with her direction. I am beyond in love with each and every photo we have from that day, she captured every want my fiancé I had… outfit changes, locations, a way of capturing the true us with an artsy twist. Her edits are insane and we couldn’t be happier! Looking forward to getting our wedding photos back this coming May!! We have a friend that was recently engaged who loves our photos so much they are hoping Barbara can capture their big day too! -

We hired Barbara to do our engagement shoot + wedding and it was a GREAT decision! Our engagement session was fun, energetic and helped us feel very at ease in front of the camera - and the pictures were amazing. Barbara ended up having to reaccommodate our wedding day because of her pregnancy and already had everything in line with a backup team. It was a super seamless transition and her associates are incredibly talented. Barbara was always available and still took care of everything else (editing, day of schedule, point of contact) and the pictures ended up perfect! The BEST elopement and engagement sessions
Let me start by saying I absolutely did not want engagement photos or a photographer for our elopement. My partner convinced me otherwise and honestly, working with Barbara made allll the difference. Our photos are stunning (we've received so many compliments!) and Barbara made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera, which is no easy feat. She was easy to work with and had great ideas and suggestions for engagement photo outfits and locations that fit us well. We wanted our elopement to feel intimate and special and Barbara ensured that we were still able to have that, despite not being just the two of us. We would work with Barbara again in a heartbeat! -

Phenomenal work!
Barbara was such a delight to work with! She made us feel comfortable from day one, and didn't try to oversell her services to us. She's clearly very experienced in shooting weddings. Barbara helped us put together a day-of schedule, ensuring we had enough time to do everything we wanted, but added some cushion for necessary downtime. I do not know who I love more, Barbara or my new husband. Let me start by saying Barbara is exceptionally talented and a dream to work with! After stumbling across her instagram, we hired her for our engagement photos and October 3rd wedding at Sylvanside Farm. Hiring Barbara was the best wedding decision we made and I would highly recommend her to everyone.
After our initial conversations with Barbara we decided on Carderock, MD for the engagement photography session and wow, she knocked it out of the park! She made us feel entirely comfortable behind the lens, she was great with our 95pd dog, and was right there with us scrambling up the rocks to get the perfect shot! The resulting photographs were beautiful and really captured our personalities and our connection as a couple. We couldn’t wait to see her again at our wedding eleven months later.
Fast forward to our wedding date, I was feeling pretty nervous on the day of but she was such a calming and cheerful presence to be around - I instantly felt soothed and in good hands. I could cry all over again just thinking about the beautiful first look photos she captured, she even thought to bring a portable speaker and played our favorite songs! Her keen artistic eye really shined; she has such a talent for both composition and candid photos. I cannot speak more highly of Barbara and how well she managed to capture our love story. We truly can't put into words our gratitude for finding Barbara to capture our wedding! We initially fell in love with her photography style from her Instagram, but after a phone call we knew she was a perfect fit in the personality department as well. She is a true artist, such a joy to be around and was a dream to work with in every way.
Before meeting Barbara, we were a little nervous about wedding photography, because we aren't big on PDA. During our engagement photos, Barbara made us feel very comfortable and did a great job capturing us in a way that felt extremely authentic to us as a couple.
When it came time for the big day, Barbara was just incredible. Her sweet and energetic personality is infectious, and all of our family and bridal party loved having her around during our special moments. Barbara had also never been to our venue prior to the wedding, but she was quick to spot the best locations and light around the property. We had weather that kept switching from sunny to overcast, and it was so much fun watching Barbara in her element chasing the light to get the most perfect photos. Her precision and care for details absolutely paid off — our photos are full of such a natural warmth that you can only get from someone who really knows what they're doing! She kept us on time or ahead of schedule for portraits and we never felt rushed. One of our favorite parts of our day with Barbara was during the cocktail hour. She spotted a field next to the venue and asked if we were up for an adventure. Because we totally trust Barbara, we of course said yes! We drove with her and took sunset photos in the field. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed that we had a few quiet moments after the ceremony to take in the day as a couple. And, we loved that Barbara's vision was different than any other photographer who had shot our venue before, giving us totally unique photos. They ended up being some of our favorites!
We received our preview album of wedding photos very soon after the wedding and we were completely blown away. Everyone who saw our photos commented on how great the lighting was and complimented our choice of photographer. Our wedding was truly our best day ever, and Barbara perfectly captured that magic and all the big and small moments in a way that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I want to shout from every rooftop in Baltimore about how much we love Barbara! We are so thankful that A) we found her 2+ years ago, and B) we’ve been able to enjoy so many special moments with her. We found Barbara when we were first planning our wedding (pre-pandemic). Her photography style, loving personality, and her thoughtfulness which really sealed the deal for us- we had to have her! Seriously- we actually just wished she would just be a guest at our wedding, but someone had to take pictures! She’s just so lovely to be around and is so full of joy. Having Barbara photograph our wedding was the BEST decision ever. If you're stressed out planning your wedding and trying to find a photographer, just stop right there and reach out to Barbara ASAP to see if she's available.
She has FANTASTIC energy that really brings out the best in you and your partner (which is really important considering most people are stressballs or really awkward during photoshoots). Barbara can literally make any backdrop look beautiful and artistic, and I mean ANY backdrop. I was concerned that there weren't any noteworthy locations at our venue for our portraits, but Barbara was able to capture and produce some AMAZING shots - ones that look like they belong in a wedding magazine.
She is incredibly flexible and truly willing to work with you. We were quite indecisive about where to take our engagement photos and how to plan out our wedding day timeline, but Barbara was so patient and professional and really went above and beyond making us feel comfortable and supported.

I can’t even begin to list all the reasons why Barbara is the right photographer for you. My husband and I decided to elope during the pandemic, and we really wanted to capture the intimacy of the day because our family and friends weren’t able to be there. We were getting married so quickly that we didn’t have a chance to do engagement photos, so these were the first professional photos either of us had ever done. We hit it off with Barbara from our first meeting, and I knew immediately that we could trust her with our day.
From the moment I opened the door to let her in my hotel room on my wedding day, I felt like she was a friend I had known for years. The BEST Photographer in Baltimore!
The first interaction we had with Barbara was over email and I knew from her response that she was going to be so easy to get along with and a dream to work with. We took engagement photos with her and not only were the pictures stunning but they fully captured our love story and who we are as people. She was so helpful in the planning process regarding which pictures to take and other helpful hints that she had learned from over the years. The wedding day with her was incredible, she had such a calm and happy presence that felt SO good to be around. The pictures of the wedding day were out of this world beautiful. The first vendor we looked for when we got engaged was our photographer -- and I am overjoyed that we found Barbara. As a lesbian couple, we were nervous navigating the wedding industry that is geared towards heterosexual marriages. It was so important to us to find a photographer who would celebrate our love and make us feel comfortable. Barbara did more than just that, during our first introductory phone call she already felt like an old friend. She even sent us a thoughtful gift after we booked her and it definitely helped ease the stress knowing that we had her on our team. She helped us navigate the many steps that go into planning a wedding. She was extremely collaborative and wanted to ensure that we incorporated all the elements we were dreaming of for our wedding. When we were looking for some video coverage of the event, Barbara reached out to Isabel (@isabelstudios) to double as a second-shooter and capture some footage (and we are SO glad that she did - they are both incredibly talented women).
The first time we met Barbara in person months later during our engagement shoot, we spent hours laughing and ended the day with long intimate conversations. When we received the photos from that day, we felt overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. We both have never felt fully at ease in front of a camera but because Barbara was able to cultivate such a great environment she captured our love perfectly.
In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Barbara was fantastic at communicating all the details. We held our wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis Maryland. On the big day, Barbara and Isabel came prepared for everything and rallied our big wedding party crowd to take the most stunning portraits. There was some unexpected rain before the ceremony and they styled the shoot with umbrellas and kept the energy going.
During the ceremony she captured all the big emotions and as soon as the party started she was right in the middle of the dance floor with us. Our friends and family LOVED Barbara and Isabel and had such a great time with them. When we shared some of our sneak peek photos - everyone was raving about how editorial, natural, and gorgeous they looked. Now that I am sitting down to write this review, I truly can't say enough about how incredible our experience was having Barbara as our wedding photographer. We hired Barbara to capture our wedding day and ended up adding engagement pictures as well. For our engagement shoot, we wanted to feature murals around our Philly neighborhood. Cut to the day, and it’s pouring! Barbara eased our concerns and helped us to see how magical the rain was! Now looking back at the stunning pictures, I’m glad it rained! My husband and I first met Barbara when we were both in the bridal parties of our good friends wedding in May 2017. Her personality was infectious - she is so much fun to be around and is a calming presence on what is sometimes a stressful day. When I saw my friend’s wedding photos, they seemed different to me than others I had seen in the past - they were more centered around capturing the feel and spirit of the people/wedding versus more traditional posed group photos - which for me was extremely appealing. When I got engaged, Barbara was the first person we reached out to. I had been following her on Instragram, as well as reviewed her work online, and loved her artsy photos that really capture the hearts and souls of the people she photographs. We knew we wanted to work with Barbara for our wedding.
Our package included an engagement session and a leather album, in addition to all the wedding photos themselves. Our engagement session was about 100 degrees despite the fact that we started around 7AM, and we had our two dogs with us - so there was a lot of elements to work with - and Barbara nailed it! We loved the photos from the engagement session and it made us even more excited for the wedding photos. We had been told by some friends that engagement photos aren’t always necessary (because once you get your wedding photos those are the ones you will frame) but I’m so glad we have these photos of our little family in a relaxed setting, having fun! We will always have some of these up in our home.
For the wedding, when Barbara asked if there was anything specific I wanted her to capture, the only thing I said was minimal posed photos, more photos walking around the town/exploring/having fun. Otherwise, I didn’t want to provide any direction because I trusted her vision so much! Unsurprisingly, our photos are AMAZING and we could not love them any more than we do.
As a COVID couple, we changed our wedding date 3 times, moved venues once, and had our event 14 months later than originally planned. I can also say that Barbara was completely supportive and accommodating each time we had to make a change which meant so much to us in such a difficult and painful time.
For us, Barbara was our first choice (not just for photography - but also the first vendor we wanted to get locked down after our engagement) even before we started working more closely with her. Our prolonged engagement meant that I spent many months admiring her recent posts on Instagram with the anticipation growing! We will always use Barbara in the future for other family shoots. Sometimes, you have to chose between the quality of the work and the compatibility of yourself with the vendor and aren’t lucky enough to get both, but not in this case. You cannot go wrong with this beautiful and talented soul. She will make sure you are having fun the whole time and will send you the most perfect shots capturing the spirit of your day after! -

Count yourself lucky, if you get to work with Barbara
I have a theory about weddings: They are stressful, because they're the biggest event most of us will play any role in planning, but most of us aren't event planners--which makes it that much more stressful. Because of this, you need to do absolutely everything you can to decrease the stress and level of difficulty. From the venue to the guest list and style of decorations, do everything you can to decrease pain and complexity and increase happiness.
On this front, Barbara is worth her weight in gold. From our very first conversation, she listened to our priorities, told us how she operates, and asked the questions that would help us execute on our vision within the amount of time we allotted. She is energetic, kind, and responsive. And the pictures turned out beautifully.
When hiring wedding vendors, I would do everything possible to pick people you would answer "Yes" about on all of the following. (1) Do I love their work? (2) Will they make my life easier? (3) Will they make this fun?
Barbara was an easy, emphatic yes on all three. And her prices were very competitive. She's worth a heck of a lot more than she charges. How often do you find yourself saying that? Book her now. -

Choosing your wedding photographer is so important and a few months later I look at our pictures with the biggest smile and still get compliments from friends that saw the pictures when we shared them, which means they also kept them in their memory and heart. When I can across Barbara through Instagram, I had actually saw her work on a mutual friends page and the way she captured our friend was what drew me to her! Barbara is phenomenal. But before we tell you why, it is important to put some things in to context.
My husband, Douglas, and I were engaged for two years. Due to work we delayed our wedding for October 2020. It was going to be in an amazing location, within a restored barn in New York at the peak of Fall. We were thrilled to have our family members and friends be a part of our day.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit our plans drastically changed. When we eventually decided to elope: after two years of being engaged, a pandemic and work-furlough due to the virus, we just wanted to get married and get it over with.
We were so lucky to get Barbara as our wedding photographer! She came through for us in our last minute appeal to book her since our plans had changed from a wedding to an elopement. We had little expectations for our wedding day but after speaking to Barbara about the photography aspects she gave us so many ideas which really made our day so much more than a simple elopement. This truly was the amazing part and where her experience shined.
Not only was she so prepared, arrived early and scouted out the best places to take photographs but we are forever grateful for her recommendations of having a small cake, champagne ... she even brought along her bluetooth speaker so we could have our first dance together!
As I am typing this review I am looking at our wall of wedding picture, it makes me emotional. Thank you Barbara, for making our day more memorable than we ever imagined and for capturing our love in beautiful photographs that we will always cherish.

Barbara was a dream to work with! We had a micro wedding outdoors with four friends in November! Not only did Barbara take amazing photographs, she also was a big part in making our day special and personal. Our initial plan was to go the courthouse and be officially married there before taking some pics elsewhere, but Barbara suggested we see if any friends were officiants so we could get married in a beautiful park as well. Turns out a good friend of mine is an officiant, and she prepared a lovely ceremony that was far superior to what would have been done at the courthouse! The pictures from the ceremony with our four friends (one of whom doubled as the officiant) and our puppy (and wow do we have some great puppy shots now!) were incredible, but the pictures we have of just the two of us after everyone left are my favorite.
It was FREEZING and SO WINDY, but you cannot tell at all from the photos. Barbara was so thoughtful and had a blanket for me between shots! The lighting is perfect, which is also thanks to her, since she suggested what time we should start for optimum photography conditions. I'm not naturally photogenic at all, but Barbara really made us both comfortable and we had such a fun time while we took those shots! She captured real laughter, real emotions, and real love. None of the pictures seem awkward or forced, which just reflects how comfortable we were. Some of my favorite pictures are slight between-shots where one or both of us is cracking up or just enjoying each other! She was also so kind to send me a gif in social media friendly format of my new husband and I shimmying between shots which is an absolute favorite! Absolutely recommend her 100%; she is incredible and if we do a full ceremony with lots of people at a later date I would absolutely hire her again. 11/10 would recommend. -

The absolute best
There aren't enough words to convey how thankful we are for our experience with Barbara. She's not only an incredible photographer, but so personable, generous, and loving. My husband and I had to move up and scale down our wedding from June 2021 to October 2020 and informed Barbara of our plans just six weeks beforehand. After some back and forth she ended up being booked for our proposed date and connected us with another photographer with a similar style — something she 100% didn't have to do, but did because she's an amazing person. The day before our wedding, when I was getting ready for our rehearsal, Barbara called to let me know she was going to be available to shoot our scaled-down, backyard wedding. It was the best surprise ever! Barbara isn't just a talented photographer, but she's a genuine amazing human and she felt like a close friend through and after the duration of our wedding. Best decision!!!
When I first came across Barbara's work, I knew I wanted to have her document our wedding! Choosing her as our photographer was possibly the best decision we made for our wedding (aside from each other)! She was always in touch with us especially when we had to reschedule our original ceremony with family. She gave us tips on how to have a zoom elopement wedding and we followed them all! We are hopeful we can have our 1 yr anniversary ceremony in 2021 and we already have reserved Barbara’s time :) My advice is that if you are going to spend money, invest in quality pictures like Barbara’s because these will stay with you forever! Also finding someone like Barbara who cares about her clients and is your cheerleader during the process is priceless. -

Barbara was fantastic. We pulled down our wedding because of covid and decided to elope in DC a month later. When we finally had a plan, Barbara was incredibly flexible and prepared and made the experience really meaningful and so much fun for both of us. She helped us with everything from reading our vows to figuring out a casual location for neighborhood photos afterwards with our dog. Even though we weren’t with our friends and family that day, the photos captured everything we wanted. Not how we originally imagined getting married of course, but under the circumstances it was perfect. -

We loved working with Barbara! we worked with her for our engagement shoot and our wedding this past summer (both on very short notice because we had to change our plans due to COVID) and she was so flexible. I was referred to Barbara by another photographer who wasn't available for my wedding day -- and man, what serendipity! I fell in love with her style from the moment I looked at her portfolio online, and our initial conversation further sold me on her! My (now) husband is generally not comfortable with photography and tends to get impatient with taking lots of photos, so it was important to me for us to work with someone who would make him feel comfortable being documented all day long. Best photos I’ve ever seen!
Barbara has to be one of the most talented photographers out there. We have hired Barbara to photograph our engagement, elopement, and our overseas wedding; each time we are just blown away by the beauty of her photos. She has a way of capturing the moment so perfectly that each time we look at the photos, we are brought right back into the moment. Her shots look like they could be out of a magazine! They are so full of color and emotion. Aside from her end product, she is a very fun, professional, and easy going person to work with. She has fun ways to get genuine laughs and while a photography session may seem scary, she puts us at ease every time and it shows through her pictures. She has a great eye and creative mind but she also will cater to exactly what you want. We'd hire Barbara again in a heartbeat!
Barbara was the only vendor we held on to when we scrapped our big wedding plans for a tiny, socially distant celebration in May 2020. She was super flexible and thoughtful while we attempted to keep everyone feeling as safe and comfortable as possible - mask and hand sanitizer at the ready along with her cameras.
We are SO glad she was there to capture the day for us. Her photos are crisp, authentic and timeless. They perfectly tell the story of our wedding as it really was: not a whitewashed, perfect photoshoot, but a colorful, joyful, intimate party.
And from a professional and personal stand point, she is just the best! We knew immediately after meeting her that we could rely on her to be timely and professional while also becoming our friend. Best Wedding Photographer we could've ever asked for!
Barbara was absolutely FANTASTIC throughout our whole wedding journey. From the second we sat down to meet her, my husband and I knew she was the perfect match to our personalities. During engagement pictures, she could tell we were nervous and didn't necessarily love being in front of the camera, but she captured the most organic and romantic photos of the two of us by bringing out each of our personalities. On our wedding day she was early, prepared, and the most helpful. Barbara truly went above and beyond (including giving turn-by-turn directions to our bus driver to make sure we arrived at the correct reception location! LOL!). She kept myself, my husband and our entire wedding party calm, laughing and natural during each shot. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a photographer. I am still going back through all of my photos almost daily because I cherish them that much. You will love everything about your experience if you choose to work with her. Picking Barbara as our photographer was the first and best decision we made for our wedding. As soon as I saw other photos she had done at our venue, I knew we had to book her. Working with Barbara greatly exceeded our expectations. As a photographer myself, I spent a lot of time looking through various portfolios and when I came across hers, I had to meet with her. Her portfolio showcased a range of backdrops and people, and the fact that she is more than a wedding photographer really adds to the quality of her work. From our first meeting with her, we knew she was the perfect fit for us. We chose the package that included engagement photos, which I would absolutely recommend doing, as it gave us the chance to not just meet with her in person, but get to know her style, which helped her frame us for the big day. For the wedding day, she was on time with our first look and wedding party photos so that we didn't run over. During the ceremony we never even noticed her or her assistant which is a mark of a great photographer. During cocktail hour and reception, she was constantly available for a shot we requested while still capturing the event.
