AZ Planned MN Wedding Reception
My wife and I got married in AZ where we live and were planning our wedding reception in MN to be able to celebrate our new chapter with all of our family and friends. We initially thought this was going to be an impossible task until we met Leslie at the Banquets of Minnesota. She was really good about communicating with us about everything we wanted and made our wedding dreams come true! They offer catering services and have other vendors they routinely work with that really made this a one stop shop for our reception. The food was incredible, as well as the DJ company she recommended. Leslie truly made planning this event easy for us and took care of everything the day of allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend! -

Thanks to Banquets of MN our reception was incredible! First, we received many compliments from our guests about the food, the gorgeous set up of the banquet room, the wait staff and their attention to detail, & did I mention the FOOD which was delish! Secondly, by using vendors that had a relationship with Banquets it made planning effortless. The one stop shop is the way to do it. Last but definitely not least, Leslie was awesome to work with. She responded in a timely matter to our texts and our many questions. She is a true professional and this shows by being organized, friendly, and helpful. She truly loves her job and wants to create a beautiful experience for the wedding couple. -

Absolutely Incredible!
I'm not sure we can put into words how grateful and impressed we were with Leslie and the entire staff at Banquets, but we will try. From start to finish they made the entire process so incredibly easy and comfortable. The venue itself is so affordable and they set up a ton of the decorations for you. Leslie, the venue manager, is a complete professional. She knows exactly what she's doing and we had total trust and confidence in her. We received ENDLESS compliments about the space, the staff, and the FOOD (which is incredible). They also have so many established relationships with cake, DJ, photo booth, and hotel vendors that the rest of your wedding planning essentially is done. They have two spaces - one larger and one smaller. At first I was worried about them having two weddings at once but to be honest we didn't even notice the other party so it felt completely private. If you are on the fence about anything, absolutely book the Banquets. You will not be disappointed. We weren't and I fully believe that the Banquets was central to us having the best day of our lives. Thank you to Leslie and the amazing wonderful staff at Banquets!!!! -

Fantastic Reception Venue!!
We couldn't recommend Banquets of Minnesota more! Leslie and the team were very easy to work with throughout the whole process, and we have gotten so many compliments on the venue, music, and food from our guests. Banquets of MN is as good as it gets for a wedding venue, especially for the great value!-

The Perfect Venue!
Our reception at Banquets of MN was absolutely incredible. Leslie is so organized and kind. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. The food was amazing, and the hall itself is beautiful. We loved that they have a wonderful selection of centerpieces to rent (for a very low cost!) and that they were set up for us. We are so glad we chose to have our reception at BofMN! We were able to have our large, beautiful wedding there while still sticking to our budget. Could not recommend them more. -

Dream Wedding came True
I don't even know where to begin with our magical day! Leslie and the Banquets of MN staff were absolutely amazing. Anytime we had questions or wanted change anything Leslie emailed/called in a timely manner and most days the same day!. The day of was flawless, Leslie kept things on time for us, helped with getting the wedding party ready, and was there whenever we needed her! She and the staff made our day perfect!! I can't recommend them enough for your special day! -

Beautiful Venue
My husband and I loved having our reception here! Leslie, Dan, and staff were amazing and did not disappoint. Our hall had enough space for our quests and a large dance floor. The food was amazing and we kept getting complements about it from our guests all night! The pictures of this place do not do a justice, an absolutely beautiful venue! -

Absolutely Amazing!
Leslie and all the staff at Banquets of Minnesota are absolutely amazing. They were so accommodating during such a difficult time. Our original wedding date was April 24th but due to Covid and the lock down we had to postpone to October 23rd. Leslie was so great at communicating with me to try to come up with a better day that worked for us. they made such a smooth transition from dates and we had originally booked the venue in Blaine that had to be closed down. After everything was said an done. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! 100% recommended! -

Great venue!!!
Banquets of Minnesota was great!! Leslie was super easy to work with and made all the planning very easy! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, so many people kept telling us all night it was the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding! All the staff there were so friendly and helpful, the room looked amazing, we can’t say enough good things about Banquets of Minnesota. Highly recommend!!! -

Most Amazing Experience
We recently had our wedding reception held at the Blaine location for the Banquets of MN. We went with the elegance ballroom for a larger guest capacity. We could have not had a better experience! There was plenty of room for everyone, an awesome dance floor great lighting and it was absolutely beautiful. On the day of the reception, staff took care of everything so there was not a single worry from us. All the staff members were absolutely amazing and friendly. The food we selected was beyond delicious and we had countless guests commenting how much they loved the food. Then our wedding coordinator Gloria really made our dreams come true. She worked so hard to make sure the place looked exactly how we envisioned it and we didn't worry about a thing. She was so easy to communicate with and really made our reception amazing. I would highly recommend the Banquets of MN for having a wedding. These guys truly know what they are doing and know how to make your wedding day perfect! -

Reception hall
Amazing service and very easy to work with and plan out all of the details. They sit down and discuss everything you need to know and recommend the best services including DJs, hotels, desert caterers, etc. They accommodate to our needs which made it for the most relaxing part of wedding planning. -

Gloria is amazing to work with! I have zero complaints from our initial meeting all the way through our evening. I highly recommend this place, its beautiful, there are many perks to this place. We had the time of our lives, and part of that is attributed to the venue. our guests still rave about the food, 1 month later. We feel so blessed that we found this place, please go check it out. -

I am not certain I have the right words to express how truly grateful I am to Leslie and the entire Banquets crew in Fridley for making my wedding day amazing. Throughout the process, Leslie was professional and helpful. She always had great advice when we were struggling with decisions (which beer to buy for our guests/which food options to choose/which linens to use/etc...). I was planning our wedding while living overseas in the Peace Corps and she was completely flexible with me in our unique situation.
The banquet halls themselves are GORGEOUS. All of my guests said so. The permanent draping looked so elegant - and once all the tables were decorated and everything in place - I had to take a step back and just admire.
All of my guests commented on the food. I didn't get to eat too much (typical bride right?) but what I ate was incredible! And it was beautifully presented in the buffet. We had mimosas and sandwiches provided to us as we got ready - the boys had beer and sandwiches while they played Xbox in their getting ready rooms. The getting ready suite for the girls was perfectly lit and a good amount of space for all our stuff!
Leslie worked with all my vendors to get them set up - I hardly had to speak with them if they needed anything - she was on top of it.
To top it all off - Leslie was even there to help with my bustle before the grand entrance because everyone was struggling with it!
Going above and beyond seemed second nature for her - my reception was simply perfect. We all had so much fun!

We got married at the Blaine location the on 18th of November and everything was PERFECT! Gloria is amazing and will help you plan the wedding of your dreams at a reasonable price. Something that really stuck out to me was that my mom/his mom/our families didn't have to do anything. The staff set up and take down everything with the centerpieces THEY provide ( and they're SO hard to choose from! we went with lanterns!) Also, the FOOD! Oh my goodness. Listen up. They offer a taste testing and you get to try their most popular food options. And everything we tried that night was SO good. But on our wedding night, it was somehow SO much better. Cindy, who helped us pick out our menu items at the taste testing night, promised to work on our wedding night and carried my plate for me to the head table for me. So above and beyond!! We had the time of our lives and our loved ones said our wedding was EPIC :) We met the owner several times when we were coming and going, and he is SUCH a cool guy! Thank you to Dan, Gloria, Cindy and the rest of the BOM staff who made our wedding night unforgettable! :) -

The venue was AMAZING. My (now) husband and I were incredibly pleased with our choice here. The place is really a blank canvas for whatever you want your wedding to be. (We wanted a Halloween-themed wedding, with people in costumes or comfort, and once we had it decorated, you felt like it was Halloween.) It was comfortable, clean, and there are wonderful ready rooms! PLUS, there's a DJ booth built in, so the DJ isn't taking up valuable space on/near the dance floor. And the food!! I can't even put into words how good the food was. We had stuffed veggies and dip, Cesar salad, whipped potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, country baked ham, stuffed chicken breast, and bread sticks. It was such a wonderful spread of amazing food. That chef is dynamite. And not one of our guests had a complaint. The first thing that struck me was how nice Leslie was to work with. She's a firm operator and I knew my wedding was in very good hands. Even at our first meeting, she was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. My husband and I were doing the wedding all on our own; no planner. But Leslie turned out to be more than capable of being a wedding planner. She helped us organize our thoughts and verbalize what we wanted. She was incredibly accommodating, and very prompt at answering her emails. (I'm sure she would be the same with phone calls, but I hate calling people, so email it is. And sometimes I get hesitant about emailing because it's easy to be put off by the recipient, but Leslie ALWAYS got back to me within 24 hours (usually way less than 24, I swear she doesn't sleep).) Between her and the rest of the staff, we were well taken care of. Just the nicest people on such a stressful day. Also, the location is great. Just off of 694 and 65. It's easy for anyone to get to, and really not hard to find. My guests really appreciated that. I would HIGHLY recommend Banquets of Minnesota for your wedding. -

As the mother of the bride, I can't say how incredibly wonderful it was to work with this venue! Both Gloria and Dan were amazing--they created a timeless memory that exceeded our expectations...they were attentive, responsive, professional, and made us feel like we were the only wedding in the world! Everything was perfect!! Leslie B. was right there helping helping prepare months in advance and during the ceremony and reception. And food...OMG!! It was excellent!! All of it! My husband ever went so far as to seek the chef out and praise him. Turns out his father owns Banquets of Minnesota. I can't say enough about this place. We were at the Fridley location. -

Can't afford a wedding planner but need some extra help? Banquets of Minnesota and there staff are just what you need. My coordinator, Gloria, was so flexible and accommodating. Her knowledge helped me create the perfect day. No question I had was unanswered and anything I needed wasn't left unfinished. She made sure it got taken care of. I could not have been happier with the staff and the quality of service we received. I was getting compliments from guest about the staff! They are simply that amazing. Dan, the owner, was just superb as well. He made sure every detail was perfect. If you choose Banquets of Minnesota, let them do there thing and you will be dazzled! They are a well oiled machine and will give you a night to remember! They are worth every penny you spend with them and that's what's even better, it's not expensive compared to other places! During the off season you get the room at half-price and even their preferred vendors give you discounted rates as well. You will save hundreds by having your event in the winter season. They do everything; bingo, dances, weddings, banquets, company parties., you name it, they will plan it! I could go on forever about how beautiful this venue was and how amazing the staff is, but at the end of the day, you'll just have to see for yourself. You won't be sorry! -

We absolutely loved having our wedding reception held at Banquets of Minnesota! The staff is so friendly and extremely helpful and did everything they possibly could to make our wedding day special. The event coordinators are very organized, and the owner is very detail oriented when it comes to setting up the venue for your big day. We were even blessed by a surprise ice sculpture donated by the staff that fit the theme of our wedding. Not only is the staff beyond amazing but the price is extremely affordable and the food was beyond amazing. Another plus is this vendor works closely with Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment and couples who go through that company for their DJ get a special discount. Nothing but good things to say about Banquets of Minnesota :) -

We got engaged and married in 4 months time. When looking for a venue, we had very few choices as it was such short. Notice. I found out the Elegance Room was available and went to look at it immediately. I loved it, so brought my husband as well. We booked immediately.
We had all of our meetings with Kelley at the beginning. She was so helpful and went over our food and budget with us. We wanted a little bit of a different reception, no sit down dinner and I had an idea for an app that wasn't on their menu and they accommodated us and were so willing to help.
We went to the dinner for all future couples and got a few more questions answered and got to sample all the food. It was awesome.
Gloria came back from maternity leave and took over for Kelley. We were a little worried that some things would get lost in the shuffle, but everything was perfect and we communicated easily about any changes we wanted to make.
The day of the wedding we arrived to decorate and Dan was there setting up the room. He is so kind and amazing. I gave him a huge hug. He genuinely cared about us and our day and wanted it to be perfect.
We arrived for our reception and it was stunning. We got SO MANY compliments on everything throughout the evening. We feel so lucky that we were able to have our event here and would recommend them to anyone.
To Dan, Kelley, and Gloria, on a personal note, our day was everything we wanted it to be. Thank you for being so kind and accommodating to Adam and me. Big hugs to the 3 of you. -

Most fabulous staff to work with! Food was delicious and offered many meal choices. We feel we absolutely got the most bang for our buck. The facilities are newly remodeled, modern and beautiful. Definitely a country club feel without the country club price! -

My very close friend had her wedding reception in the Vivian Ballroom at MN Banquet hall this past weekend and it was phenomenal thanks to Dan and his staff! Dan was so flexible and worked with us to get the hall set-up, and made special arrangements so we could drop the cake off early, the night before. The hall was decorated to perfection, and colors matched perfectly! The food was awesome! If you are looking for an ideal place to hold your reception, or having any type of party catered, I recommend you contact Dan! You will not be disappointed! I have recommended Dan, and all of his facilities to many friends and family! Awesome job Dan! Thank you so much for taking care of my special friend on her big day! We couldn't have asked for anything better! -

I had an absolutely perfect reception thanks to Leslie and her beautiful venue. I was in the Grand Olympian room and let me tell you that place is beyond gorgeous. Huge dance floor, riser seating for the wedding party, extremly spacious and a HUGE well stocked bar (which my dad loved). Leslie took care of everything for me, any questions I had she was quick to answer and set this Bride at ease. The food..oh the food! My guest are STILL talking about it. Everything was beyond delicious but I got the best reviews from my guest on the roast beef..mmm! There are also these amazing dressing rooms for both the Bride/Bridesmaids and Groom/Groomsman. The Bridesmaids room has multiple vanities so everyone could get ready at once which was so convenient, plus a HUGE mirror in the middle of the room for the Bride to see her whole dress and take beautiful pictures in front of. The Groomsman room came with lots of nice leather couches and of course a HUGE screen TV- my hubby loved it. Leslie took care of ordering my beautiful ice sculpture, setting up everything with my DJ (which she also booked for me and used the same down deposit as the venues!) and my photo booth. I honestly cannot think of one thing that went wrong with this venue or working with Leslie- she made my reception perfect..a true Princess Wedding that still gives me butterflies when I think about it. I would, without a doubt, highly recommend having your reception here if you want the PERFECT day <3 -

I just held my wedding at Banquets of Minnesota in July and absolutely loved it! Leslie and Dan are amazing to work with. They made sure that my special day was just perfect! I also wanted to note how delicious the food was!! People are still telling us how much they loved it! -

Leslie and Dan are two of the easiest vendors to talk with! They are so quick with their replies and so easy to work with! They are fun yet professional! The food was amazing for our wedding reception. We have not heard one complaint. We have heard many people went up for seconds!
The venue itself is deceiving from the outside. it is truly beautiful inside!

Steve and I had our reception in the Elegance Room on October 11, and we can't thank the staff enough for making it such a wonderful wedding reception, I particularly want to thank Leslie for all her hard work through the whole planning process! We had so many compliments on how beautiful the hall was, how good the food was, and the bartenders were fantastic and treated all our guests with extra care :-) We will recommend this venue to any friends, family, acquaintances, that get married in the future and are looking for a great place to have their wedding reception :-) Cannot put into words how thankful we are to have found such a great spot to celebrate our big day! -

We don't even know where to start with this review! Leslie, Cindy and the rest of the staff at the vivian ballroom were AMAZING!!! We had issue after issue with our wedding plans and we found Leslie during our time of need! She assured us that everything would be taken care of and would run smoothly at this new venue, the vivian ballroom. It was hard, but we put our trust in Leslie without seeing the finished venue. If you haven't seen the vivian or grand ballroom, go take a look for yourself ! It is the most beautiful, clean, and well designed venue we had toured! An added bonus was the room for the ladies to get ready in with 4 vanities and a huge mirror, and a man cave with leather lounge chairs and a TV. Every detail was sorted out before our rehearsal. When we arrived, we met Cindy who would be our "wing woman" during our big day! She was upfront, comforting, and definitely knew what she was doing! She took care of all our needs; family members needing to sit away from one another, and she even added a special touch to our buffet table! Our whole day went great, and we felt extremely blessed and taken care of. We had no stress (on the venues end) the entire day! Our guests ranted and raved about the food (we would suggest the roast beef or chicken Alfredo with Cesar salad!) and the quality of service! Leslie also has (and is) working with us through a financial hardship. Leslie is the ONLY willing, friendly, caring, and supportive venue manager we've heard of! We can't and probably never will be able to thank her enough for all she has done for us! We were blessed to find such an amazing venue and we would suggest you all do the same! ??? -

Our daughter's wedding reception was held at the "new" Grand Olympian Ballroom in Fridley. What a beautiful, classy, roomy venue. We were delighted. The food was beyond expectation. Our guests are still raving about the food and venue. Dan and crew: thank you so much for such a wonderful, relaxing experience. You went above and beyond.
We also held my Mom's 80th birthday party at the Elegance Room in Blaine, and my sister's hosted a bridal shower at the Elegance Room in Blaine. They were both beautiful and the food was excellent. Dan Good Catering makes a great egg back and the caramel rolls were to "die for" at the shower.
Highly recommend these venues. -

We loved the Elegance Room. It was a fabulous choice! All of our guest loved loved loved the food. (we did an Italian Buffet and the chicken parm was awesome) We keep getting compliments on how nice and attentive all the wait staff were that night. They even helped my family pack up the decorations at towards the end of the night, which was above and beyond what was expected.
Leslie was so wonderful to work with and would promptly reply to any question asked. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any of my friends and family. Thanks so much for making our reception so memorable. -

I couldn't have picked a better location!! The food was phenomenal! I had many people think the roast beef was Prime Rib!! The room was absolutely beautiful!! So many people loved the place!! We had our Wedding in The Elegance Room last Saturday and it was wonderful!! A lot of my guests say that our wedding was one of the most elegant and beautiful weddings that they have been too. Everyone also said that the food was fabulous!! It was the best buffet style food that we have ever had. Everyone was so nice and so professional and the owners and helpers of the Elegance Room were so helpful. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family for events and weddings. I can't thank them enough for making our day so special!! They were on top of everything. The Elegance Room is a beautiful place to have a wedding. It's neutral colors and classy decor make it a great venue to decorate according to your wedding style. The wedding of Mary Tjosvold, owner of Mary T. Inc., was a last minute affair. We had only a week and a half to plan her special event and we could not have done it without the flexibility and helpfulness of the staff at The Elegance Room. They were accommodating to our last minute needs and the wedding was absolutely perfect. We have had many events at The Elegance Room over the years and have been completely satisfied every single time! -

Where to even begin?! My experience working with Leslie and Cindy at the Elegance Room was one of the best in my entire life. The wedding planning process is sometimes very stressful, and they went above and beyond to help me through the entire thing. They walked me thru the very emotional day of the wedding, and at no time did i feel stressed because i knew everything was taken care of! They are AMAZING to work with, incredibly sweet, supportive of your decisions, professional, they treat you like you are a special bride and not a walking dollar sign, and unbelievably organized. They know exactly what they are doing. For the price, you absolutely wont find any better. I cannot find even one small thing that I would've done any differently, it was all just truly perfect and I would do it all the same again in a heartbeat. Fantastic food too! And plenty of it! All of my guests loved it! And, the icing on the cake and what really makes you know that this is an awesome place with awesome staff....I am pregnant, therefor at the end of the night I was 10x more exhausted and the thought of having to stay later to clean made my back and feet want to cry. Cindy offered to clean everything up! She sent us off, told me to rest and relax and everything would be done for me!! She boxed all of my center pieces and random decorations, the cake, EVERYTHING was boxed up very neatly and she had it all waiting by the door for me to pick up the next day. We did not have to do anything and that is something ill never be able to thank her enough for, and a memory that ill always have, that someone truly cared enough about a couple on their special day to do a lot of work that was outside of their job description. To me, that is unparalleled service that you will not find anywhere else. I would highly highly highly recommend this place!!!! -

Leslie was the most amazing person to deal with. Had I known how wonderful it was going to turn out with her help - I would not have hired a coordinator. She was incredibly flexible and helpful.
The food was AMAZING and I heard so many comments that they could not believe how great the food was.

The Elegance Room was so professional and made my night a dream that my husband and I will not forget. All the guests LOVED and Raved about how awesome the food was that night. Banquets of MN was great to work with in the planning stages - Kelley was on top of her emails day and night and answered so many questions. We had a buffet, but still had one guest (a bridesmaid, actually) who has a very restricted diet. They were able to make her a hot meal that was ready when the buffet started so she could eat with the rest of the guests! Space in Blaine was newly remodeled and looked great! Love the built in dance floor and raised DJ area. -

Really have done a great job remodling! It was very beautiful! Bathrooms were dirty and old with an odar that just didnt seem like it owuld ever go away. Just too old. Great job at being attentive to me through the night. Forgot pizza we were to serve at the end of night but i was re-embersed. Overall great experience for the money! -

**This review has been edited at the request of the venue owners after they agreed to return our deposit after our negative experience.**
My fiance and I put our deposit down on this venue but ended up being unsatisfied with the service here. The food, setup, and dinner service style did not meet our expectations.
The worst was when we relayed our concerns to the event coordinator that we were working with, and she became very defensive. Her typical answer was along the lines of, "all of our other brides love this feature, so it confuses me that you don't." This was endlessly frustrating, as every couple has an idea of what they want their wedding to be like, but the event coordinator did not understand that.
Let me wrap this up by saying that this is a beautiful venue. My fiance and I were so excited to get married here. But, it ended up not being what we expected and we decided to go elsewhere. There are clearly many people that have had a positive experience here, but it's not for us. -

I entrusted the manager to oversee my decorations. I was surprised to arrive at the reception to find that some of my decorations had not been put up. Our meal was delicious but was missing an item. By the time I discovered it it was too late however we paid for this item to be on our buffet. We also prepaid for alcohol for our guests and the wrong brand of alcohol was served. Guests spent additional money on liquor as a result and this was not the intention of the bride and groom. The overall mistakes added up to @ $300. We were refunded only $50 and were given a gift card for their establishment for $30. I would have like to have had more communications and had our choices honored as promised. If you are going to be in the catering business it is critical to check for accuracy and ensure that people get what they pay for not substitutions. -

I don't even know where to begin. Unprofessional staff.
I got the okay to leave my duffel bag in the Opulance Room (I was in the Elegance).. caught some drunk guy going through my bag from the bar that is connected by a door. Turns out, that guy enjoyed a nice dinner at my wedding as well and hung out for a bit before someone realizing.. HE DIDN'T BELONG THERE, and a regular at Bebops. The food was amazing (Caterer was great) but after clearing plates (It was buffet style)... they left the food... and clean plates.. and took all the silverware. My mother didn't even get to eat.. My ceremony was beautiful... But turns out.. nobody in the Elegance Room could hear my ceremony music!!!!!!!!!! They were having a beer bust I guess in the bar behind the room, and the music and people in there were out of control loud. Think twice! -
