Bridesmaids Dresses
The ladies here were so great to work with! We used Ballew’s for my bridesmaids dresses and they were beautiful! The dresses showed up in a timely manner and in perfect condition! -

The girls at Ballew Bridal truly wanted to make me feel and look my absolute best on my wedding day! They were so friendly and caring! I felt so special going in there to pick up my dress and bridesmaids dress! They were so easy to work with and I never once stressed about any of the dresses! I am SO glad I found my perfect dress at Ballew!!! -

At first I did not expect to find my wedding dress here. The consultant did not pull dresses that I was looking for even when I showed her pictures. We were just about to wrap up the appointment and my mom saw a dress at the corner of her eye. It was the exact dress I had been looking for. I tried it on and did not want to take it off. They did a wonderful job at preparing my dress for the wedding day.

I was very impressed with Ballew the first two times we went there. The first time, some bridesmaids and I stopped in on a whim just to see if they had a dress for my bridal party. We were welcomed with open arms and did not feel like we were imposing at all, even though we did not have an appointment. We made an appointment with Melissa a few weeks later to bring all of my girls in to try on dresses. The store was super accommodating and allowed me to bring my dress in to see how the dresses looked together. We made our bridal party dress selection and the girls were told when to order by; some went ahead and ordered since they had a .sale going. The groom also came in later to select all of the groomsmens' attire; that process was smooth as well. All of this was done in early November for my September wedding. Months go by and the girls all eventually order the dresses, but when we inquired about the dresses ordered in November, we were then told that no dresses had been ordered yet... We were under the impression that dresses were ordered when purchased/deposit was paid. However, our original consultant was no longer there and now we were told that all of the girls had to order before anything was ordered. Luckily, our dresses arrived in plenty of time; however, the measurements were all off. Some dresses were too big, some were too small; none of the girls had gained or lost a significant amount of weight during the few months. Also, we had some payment discrepancies when picking up as well. My MOH paid for her dress in full since it was on sale when she ordered, but they did not have her full payment documented, so she ultimately paid for her dress one and a half times. Her receipt was not able to be found since she purchased in November and it was the following May/June. Next, we were told the men needed to have everything ordered by the end of July to arrive in time. We went by to check on our original selection to ensure we had everything in mind still; however, some of the selections previously made were not notated and we had to make changes. So, we stressed this to all of the men and even had two not show on time, so we had to remove them from the wedding. Come to find out, the mens' attire was not going to arrive until the Monday of the week of my wedding. We had several men- including my husband, dad- whose outfits did not fit. Various pieces and extras had to be overnighted to the store in order for everyone to have proper attire. This was a huge added stressor to the week of my wedding; some of the pieces did not arrive until Thursday and my wedding was Friday. The hassle of the men having to keep going back and forth was a lot of headache too. I understand that errors happen and things do not fit, but we had a surplus of ill-fitted attire from the bridal party to the grooms side. -
User3004351 Sent on 03/15/2017While my specific consultant was very sweet, the owner and everybody else were very aloof, and standoffish. They seemed uninterested, and I had to wait awhile to get my consultant even though I had an appointment. There are lots of dresses and styles, but I felt they were overpriced compared to Low's. This is a strange observation to make but I feel that music really helps make or break an environment - but the music in there is really weird. For a wedding/bridal shop I would expect to hear love songs or fun, upbeat music; the music they played in the salon sounded like the instrumental quartet that was playing when the Titanic sunk. The music did not create a "let's buy a dress for the best day of your life" ambiance. My aunt and friend that were shopping with me commented on it too! -
User754672 Sent on 03/12/2012The have done nothing but made the whole dress buying process an absolute nightmare. The are holding my mom , who is on a fixed income And husban just died sept 11 2011 , dress hostage for 90 .00 for alteration after ms. Ballew herself told my mother and i they will do the alteration for free after the frankly lied about ordering lenghts to my moms dress and just ordered the dress two size to big an practically had my mom paying close to what i paid for my wedding gown and all the bs they put me through. So they lied to my face and ripped my mom off. All dresses are overprice. Some of the people act like snobs They treat you like a second class citizen. And if you the reader have and sense, don't waste your time or money in this place. David bridal by the wolfchase serviced me better.
