I knew Parris was “the one” from the very first phone call! I had a whole list of concerns and felt like she addressed them all before I could even be stressed about them! I love how professional and organized she was, but it still felt like you were planning with your best friend! I went with her full service package and I am so glad I did because I didn’t have to think of or worry about a thing! Parris paid attention to EVERY detail, and not only listened to my vision but brought it to life in a way that completely exceeded my expectations. I truly can't say enough amazing things about Parris! From the very beginning, her communication was outstanding- she kept us informed, organized, and completely at ease throughout the entire process. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and Parris was a huge part in making it happen. Her timelines are top tier and ensured our day ran smooth and on time, we even had guests, family and bridal party tell us how impressed they were with how seamless everything was!
She truly brought the vision I had in my head to life. I can be very particular, and she exceeded every expectation making my dream wedding a reality. It was so easy to put our full trust in her, and knowing everything was in the best hands made everything that much more enjoyable and stress-free.

Where to even begin with Balazs Events...I could not imagine my wedding day without the magic that is Parris!
From our first conversation, I knew Parris was the planner for us. My husband and I reached out to several premier planners in South Carolina, but Parris stood out immediately for her lightning fast replies, genuine curiosity and interest in our vision, and her warm, friendly demeanor.
Parris is a pro. Her contact list of vendors has been curated to the very best and we enjoyed listening to everyone from the florist to the caterer to the live painter all gush about how she's their favorite planner to work with. It's easy to see why.
She comes to every meeting prepared with questions, a list of what she's finished since our last conversation, charts, diagrams, everything. As a Type A woman in business myself, it brought me so much joy to see her lay out a printed floor plan of the venue, detailed down to the outlets in the walls, at every meeting and watch it grow in detail as time went on. She kept us on schedule, on budget, and most importantly, STRESS FREE!
Leading up to the wedding, Parris was diligent with ensuring we hit every crucial milestone and secured our vendors early. She worked in plenty of vendor discounts along the way, and made sure to incorporate every element from the big ticket items we knew we wanted from day 1 (looking at you, light up dance floor) to the last minute details we just couldn't get off our minds.
My favorite thing about planning my wedding with Parris is that she let me take the reins on whatever was important to me and made everything else just...happen. So effortlessly it was like magic. I felt her constant commitment to making sure the day had my signature on it, even down to a few last minute changes I requested that she somehow brought to life.
My wedding day was genuinely the happiest day of my life. Parris planned every last detail. The sheer level of detail in her complete day-of schedule is seriously reason enough to book her. If there were any issues with vendors, guests, etc., I have still not heard about them over a month later. I was completely stress free and was able to be fully present in the bliss that comes from marriage to your best friend.
If you are planning a large wedding, call Parris. If you are planning a small, intimate wedding, call Parris. If you aren't sure where to start, call Parris. If you already know what you want, call Parris. She is the premier planner in Columbia, SC for a reason. She is a true professional and my only regret is that I will not get the chance to plan another wedding with her! -

Parris was truly the answer to our prayers. We found her just a few months before our wedding after a stressful experience with a previous planner, and she immediately eased every ounce of anxiety we had. She was communicative, respectful, organized, and wholeheartedly supportive of our vision—especially the complexities of blending two cultures. She embraced our needs with such grace and efficiency, and any small hiccup with vendors was resolved before I even had time to worry.
One thing that stood out from the beginning was how vendors reacted when I mentioned I was working with Parris—every single one of them lit up and shared how much they love working with her. That alone speaks volumes.
I’ve read so many times to “prepare for something to go wrong on your wedding day,” but that was not our experience at all. I woke up the next morning with overwhelming gratitude for how truly perfect everything felt. Our wedding was everything I could’ve dreamed of and even more.
Her dedication to us made the entire process feel effortless. She prioritized our peace and presence, reminding us that our only job was to enjoy creating memories while she handled everything behind the scenes.
I also have to recognize her associate coordinator, Jennifer, who was by my side throughout the wedding day. Her calming presence, joyful energy, and genuine care made me feel like I’d known her for years. She has a true gift for grounding you in the moment, especially during those emotional minutes before walking down the aisle.
If you want a team that will bring your vision to life, honor your wishes, and exceed anything you imagined, Parris and Jennifer are exceptional. If you want to see your dreams come true, using Parris as your wedding planner is the way to make that happen. She is extremely thorough and confident in what she does. We went with her full service planning and it is beyond worth it. It's hard to say I ever felt stressed while planning the wedding, and the entire wedding day could not have gone more perfectly/smoothly/stress-free. While she strives to place you with the best vendors, she keeps budget and personal preferences in mind. Parris is fun, thoughtful, full of knowledge, and easily one of the best at what she does. As a Type A personality, I was initially hesitant about hiring a wedding coordinator. I wanted to handle everything myself and had already booked many of our vendors. However, balancing a full-time job with wedding planning—and still trying to actually enjoy the process—became overwhelming. That’s when I found Parris and her Day-of Coordinator package, and let me tell you, it was the best decision I could’ve made.
From the start, Parris fit perfectly into what I needed: someone to step in without taking over, allowing me to stay involved while she handled the execution. Decision fatigue is real when planning a wedding, and by the time the big day arrived, Parris and her team became my decision-makers, problem-solvers, and biggest supporters.
Parris intuitively understood my vision and preferences, often without me having to explain them, and ensured everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. Every hiccup—like when I got lipstick on my dress before the first look—was met with calm, efficient solutions. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Parris. To begin, my now MIL called her roughly TWO MONTHS before our wedding date asking for help. Fairytale Wedding
It’s been a year since, but no time like the present. On 10/28/2023, Parris helped make mine and my husband’s dreams into reality. Our special day truly felt like a fairytale that I didn’t know I had stepped into. Parris truly made that day go so well that we felt like guests at our own wedding; it was honestly one of the least stressful days of our lives. Parris’ had work and dedication to her couples is felt throughout the process and especially on the big day. We planned our wedding from Colorado and Parris helped make that process go by swimmingly that I thought we were getting married in our state. Parris did a great job helping us plan our slightly nontraditional wedding! We chose the partial planning option, so we didn't start actively working with her until closer to the wedding, but even before that she was always available by email and was happy to apply her expertise to any question we had, no matter how small.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she was great and helped us to craft the perfect timeline for the wedding day and made sure all the details were accounted for.
Our wedding day went perfectly! She kept the ceremony running smoothly and was right there if we needed anything from organizing the procesional to helping put on my dress. She and her assistants took care of every detail at the reception. I did not have to worry about a thing. Everything I needed was anticipated and any request we had was immediately taken care of. -

I Do at the Zoo
This wedding would absolutely not have been possible without Parris. We originally chose her day of coordination package, and then we found out we were expecting a baby and realized we needed more help. Parris was more than happy to upgrade our package to her full serivces and effortlessly took on vendor coordination, decoration rental and more. It was such a seamless transition and I did not have any wedding stress, which allowed me to focus on pregnancy and having a newborn. I handed full control to Parris without a second thought. I live out of town, and with having a newborn we did not get to see a lot of things in person. It might scare some brides, but I showed up on my wedding day without having seen my bouquets, the decorations or the reception set up- and I was not worried in the slightest. Parris was able to execute our vision flawlessly and it was more than we could have ever hoped for. I would absolutely recommend Parris for any event. She is so warm and personable, and is definitely in the right business. Parris, we cannot thank you enough for being part of our day. -

We meet Parris and her staff at a Bridal Expo and we knew right away she was the one. She had all the connections, organized (has an amazing spreadsheet to help keep track of it all), the itinerary was so detailed so we knew what to expect the day of. We had the wedding at a private residence so we needed to rent all most everything. She set up all vendors and keep us within budget! We are grateful for how smoothly the day went so we all could enjoy the day stress free! Thank you Parris, Steffanie and Jennifer. It was a beautiful day! -

Parris planned my wedding in SC, while I was living in DC. I could not have done any of it without her. Throughout the process, I felt like I didn't have to an single thing. Wonderful planner and experience

While being indecisive about selecting a wedding planner, there was something Parris said to me that will always stand out. She said "Even if you don't choose me, choose someone as your wedding planner." This revealed to me that I could trust her, she was considerate and that she was not selfish. (Not to mention, at the time she was expecting her baby any day but was still willing to extend her services to me)
Her organizational skills matched my personal and professional way of being and she ALWAYS calmed my panick and anxiety (even if she was working behind the scenes without me knowing what fires she was putting out.) I never imagined that Parris would have such a personal place in my heart! She made wedding planning FUN and not STRESSFUL! She even provides a timeline checklist to ensure that you are on track prior to your wedding day! She also has an amazing team to work along with her! :)
My only suggestion would be to use ONLY her "Know & Trusted" list. Any issues that I had came from vendors that I selected "myself" and not a direct ECBP referral. TRUST HER- She's award winning and nominated for a reason! I could write several chapter books on this beautiful soul but I'll forever be grateful for WHO she is and not just WHAT she does!

At one point, I was nervous about a choice I made with decor and she suggested an alternative that was so perfect it was like she picked it out of my brain. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and Parris was to thank for much of this. We went with Parris’s partial wedding planning package, as we had already begun selecting our vendors before we brought her into the mix. We knew planning a wedding in Columbia from out of state would be a challenging task, but she made it all very seamless for us with useful feedback along the way. When it came to the day of our wedding, she effectively coordinated all of our vendors and everything went off without a hitch. We provided many of our own decorations that we brought to the venue with us, and were very impressed with the way she and her team put everything together so beautifully. If you’re looking for a wedding planner who will make your wedding day less stressful, Parris is a great choice. We were truly able to enjoy our entire day without having to worry about much. Parris made my dream wedding come together! I have known Parris for over a decade and it was great having a long time friend plan our wedding. Parris was a wonderful planner!! I was overseas when my then fiancée and I first came to Parris and she never missed a beat. She was very accommodating via zoom calls. When I got home, it was no different. Parris’ insight into and her eye for weddings really helped our wedding day run smoothly! Parris is the best of the best! She’s professional, extremely organized, dependable, and is always team Bride & Groom. Parris loves what she does, and it shows through her work. When my husband and I were searching for a wedding planner we came across many individuals and agencies with large portfolios but one thing I noticed was that almost every wedding planner’s wedding designs looked the same for all their clients. It seemed as if it was the wedding planner’s wedding and not the bride and groom’s wedding. Parris was different. What made Parris stand out for me was how creative and tailored her weddings were to her clients. And she did not disappoint! She helped us find the right vendors to fit our vision and made that vision come true with her overall design. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and stress-free; everything that I wanted! My daughter’s wedding was originally scheduled for May 2020, postponed to Aug 2020 and then rescheduled again for March 2021. Having an experienced, calm and well organized planner like Parris was a life saver! Not only did she negotiate the best prices with vendors, she dealt with all the challenges thrown at us in a calm and caring way, while remaining very professional. I literally do not know what we would have done without her and am so very grateful for her talent and passion she has as a wedding planner. Thank you, Parris

Excellent job!
Parris did an amazing job all the way from the beginning, choosing vendors to after the wedding, helping with the name change. throughout the whole process, it was so nice to go to someone with all my questions. She always responded quickly and comprehensively. She made every day up to the wedding day seem so easy. I would not have been able to do any of the planning without her. The wedding day turned out amazing and I did not notice one thing wrong. Thank you to Parris and her assistants for all they did! Would recommend Parris any day! -
