Best cake ever!

Heidi was a dream to work with. Not only are her cakes the best I have ever had, but she goes above and beyond to make sure you are 100% happy. We have people constantly telling us how good our cake was!

Delicious and dreamy!

Chef Heidi's services were included in our wedding package at The Pearl hotel in Rosemary Beach. After one bite of her heavenly carrot cake, the wedding cake quickly became one of the things I was most looking forward to on our big day! Aesthetically the cake was so cute and exactly what I had wanted. During the planning process I had fallen in love with kumquats as a decor element, but had sadly discovered they were out of season and completely unavailable during our event. Chef Heidi quickly offered to craft kumquats out of sugar, so I got the cake of my dreams after all! Delicious and beautiful - what more could you want?

Heidi was absolutely incredible, we pieced together our wedding cake from 3 other cakes she had designed before and was so patient and fun throughout the process. Tasting the cakes was also great, she even sent me home with some pieces so that my fiancé could try the cake as well since he was unable to make the appointment. Since designing our wedding cake went so great I didn't want to go anywhere but back to Heidi for the grooms cake! My idea involved his four favorite sports teams along with our high school and his university he played at. The cake was definitely the star of the rehearsal! Heidi truly is an artist and a great baker to top it off. I would definitely recommend

Chef Heidi is wonderful! We had a 4 layer cake with 2 flavors: coconut cake with mango filling, and then dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry., both with a buttercream frosting. We also had a small gluten free carrot cake as an option for guests. She decorated the big cake with a cascade of white flowers. It was perfect and delicious!

We selected Bake My Day for our WaterColor wedding and could not have been happier. Chef Heidi was so fun to work with from the minute we met her at our "vendor day"! She was willing to bake and decorate a cake that fit the mood of our wedding, and it was absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend her enough!

Heidi is so talented and creative picking a cake and design was so much fun with her. Not only is she friendly but she can create some amazingly delicious master pieces. Our cakes were fun, beautiful, it was almost a shame to cut in to them, but once you did you were happy you did. The flavor combos we created with her help were mouth watering and all our guests were so wowed by it all as much as we were.

Heidi is amazing. I had a three tiered wedding cake, and each tier was a different flavor. I told the staff at my reception I wanted one of each because the cake was just that good! My guests all told me how great it was. And the presentation was so gorgeous as well. Honestly, the sweetest part of my night. Thank you Heidi!

We booked with Heidi for our wedding. We had grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner and for the wedding a cake and cupcakes. I just showed her pictures and she made them even more beautiful than I expected. Not only that they were so beautiful but they were the most delicious cakes I ever had. Heidi did an amazing job! We highly recommend her!

Heidi done such an amazing job on our wedding and grooms cake!! Having a destination wedding and not being able to see or taste exactly what you're going to get is scary, especially for your big day! Any questions I had Heidi answered them quickly and put me at ease! She is so sweet and done an absolute gorgeous job and I would recommend her to ANY bride - destination or not! Our cakes looked just like the pictures we gave her for examples and they both tasted fantastic! Our guests LOVED them!

Heidi is a gem! From the moment we had our tasting with her (that coconut filling is to die for), till the moment that the cakes were delivered to the reception, we felt very good working with her. The cakes looked great; the wedding cake was amazing and the groomscake was an art piece in itself! We actually had set up two appointments when we came in Destin to select our vendors and we met first with Heidi and knew we would be in good hands and canceled the second vendor. We felt that was fair for everyone as we knew Heidi would be great! Our Photobooth operator also mentioned that out of experience from all his weddings when the cake is still moist at the end of the night it is a great cake, well guess what our cake was still very moist!

Heidi at Bake my Day is the BEST. She's so down to earth, friendly, and accommodating to any request. From the very beginning we had so much fun tasting cakes at her shop! During the process, she was easy to get a hold of and would spend time sending photos and ideas back and forth. And then the cakes were UNBELIEVABLE. The brides cake was absolutely gorgeous with little gold flake details and the most delicious vanilla/almond flavoring with the coolest airy texture. The grooms carrot cake turned out perfect (it was a Harley Davidson logo with super intricate details) and the cake was the most delicious sweet creamy carrot cake we've ever had. Highly recommend if you are in her area of services.

Bake My Day was highly recommended by Russ at Kelly Plantation Golf Club. I am so glad we had Heidi bake our wedding cake. We met with Heidi for a tasting to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. She made us a beautiful wedding cake with white roses, powder blue hydrangeas and pops of navy, and it was perfect for our special day. Best cake ever!!! Thank you Heidi!!!

Heidi was incredible as always! Since I moved to Destin I have use her for all my cake needs and it was even more amazing to have her create the most amazing wedding cake and grooms cake for me and my husband. It was everything I wanted and even more. All my guest couldn't stop talking about not only how beautiful the cakes were but how incredibly delicious which was one of the most important things for me since I'm such a cakes person! You will not regret booking her! You may not know but she is very popular in our area so if you are looking to book be patient and consistent. If you call make sure to leave all your information clearly so she is able to call you back and if email do the same. She is one busy lady but if you make sure to be clear and patient with her she will get back at you as soon as she can! Trust me she will and it will be worth it!

Heidi at Bake My Day did a FABULOUS job on my wedding cake. During the cake tasting, she let me try tons of different cake and icing flavors. I was able to make each tier of my cake any flavor combination I chose. I showed her a picture of what I wanted it to look like and my cake was an exact replica of the picture I showed her. I would definitely suggest Bake My Day to everyone!

Best Cake Ever! Heidi is so wonderful to work with. She helped us design a truly geeky wedding cake that fit my husband and I to a tee! And not only did it look good, but it was the best wedding cake I've ever had in my life - even my guests were saying this! We had 2 different flavors in our wedding cake - 2 layers with vanilla cake with citrus and mango filling and then 1 layer with chocolate cake and chocolate ganache and raspberry filling and it was soooo good! Even the next day, it was incredibly moist and yummy!

Heidi was great to work with. She provided the cake for my destination wedding. It was delicious. I wish I can eat my wedding cake everyday!!! I Chose a vanilla genoise filled with a middle layer of French vanilla and two layers of mango puree with pastry cream. Iced in a vanilla butter cream. The decoration was beautiful. I loved everything about it.

I had an in-person consultation with Heidi to discuss my wedding cake, & it was one of my best experiences throughout the wedding planning process! I showed Heidi pictures of what I had in mind for my vintage wedding, & she sketched out a drawing of the cake--which incorporated elements of what I was looking for and some of Heidi's creativity as well. I was able to try the different cake flavors and discuss options, which I definitely recommend vs. just emailing or calling Bake My Day. Heidi was enthusiastic & such a pleasure to work with! My wedding cake was actually the center point of my reception, & it was more beautiful than I had anticipated!! I loved the detail and fresh flowers that were placed on top of my cake. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was delicious as well!! Our guests raved about the flavors--we had raspberry & almond tiers. My fiance and I didn't have any cake the night of, but we had some the next day, it was still so fresh/moist!!! I would definitely go back to Heidi in a heartbeat, & we live in Atlanta!! Couldn't be happier with my Bake my Day experience!! :)

The cake was exactly like my daughter in visioned. The only probkem I had was that I wasnt given instructions on what to do with the cake pan. I would have also suggested to have a cake topper. Although we didnt plan on having one it would have looked better on the cake. We also fe we also asked for the "tools" that were to go on yhe grooms cake to be put on the cake were actually put on the cake pan....we were a little disappointed by that being so we incorporated the grooms cake in the brides cake. The flavors wer perfect together.

I had found a cake that Hedi and her staff had made previously and I fell in love with it! I contacted them to see if they could recreate the cake, but in a different color pallet. The cake turned out better than I had imagined! Everyone loved it, and the flavor was incredible! I would highly recomment Bake My Day!

I was a little nervous using this bakery at first, because I never visited them in person and was only able to speak with them through email. I described to them through our emails exactly what I wanted for my wedding cake. On my wedding day, they delivered times 10! The cake was so delicious and looked as good as it tasted! I am so glad I read the wonderful reviews that lead me to choose them to bake my cake. I loved it so much! Worth every cent. Thank you!

The resort where I had my wedding only uses Bake My Day for the cake that was included in the wedding package I chose. My coordinator at the resort gave Heidi at Bake My Day my contact information, so I didn't have to do anything! We spoke through email and she had a list of all of the most popular options that they made, as well as pictures on their website that we could look over and choose what we liked the best. When we spoke over the telephone, she was very easy to talk to and very receptive to what we wanted. We mailed her our cake topper, so that she would already have it the day of the wedding, which was one less thing that we had to worry about. The day of our wedding, our cake looked absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we wanted! I would highly recommend Bake My Day to anyone!

Our wedding cake was the epitome of our theme...literally "beach chic" come to life!!! Heidi completely took her time with us to come up with a unique and risque design that turned out better than I would've ever imagined, it encompassed everything that we wanted to portray within our theme, AND it was freaking delicious!!! I can't wait to cut an anniversary slice with my husband next year!!! Yum Yum :-) Thank you Heidi, you're awesome and so was our cake!!!

I'm from Indiana so when planning our wedding in Destin I was a little nervous when it came down to the cake. However I couldn't have been any more pleased with the way it turned out. The cake was absolutely perfect looked just like the picture I had chosen and not to mention everyone loved it!

Heidi was a pleasure to work with. We had one call together and she was able to make the perfect and most delicious wedding cake ever! During our call, she asked about our colors, inspiration and our style. We gave her a couple of pictures of cakes that we thought were options and she was able to help us select the one for us. Heidi was able to create a cake similar to the picture we provided with a couple of suggested changes, which turned out even more beautiful than the one in the picture. We received so many compliments on the design of the cake and how it captured the beauty of our wedding style. The cake was not just beautiful, but delicious! We selected vanilla with a mixture of raspberry and strawberry filling. Wow! The cake was so moist and light. We highly recommend Bake My Day for your special day.

Heidi was a pleasure to work with and created a masterpiece of a wedding cake for our special day. I wish I could post a picture of just how gorgeous it turned out. She sat down with me and sketched my vision and guided me to the end result which of course was delicious as it was beautiful. Heidi at Bake my Day not only did our wedding cake but also did a dessert selection for the rehearsal dinner. She did an outstanding job with both. Honestly it was the best wedding cake ice ever tasted and I've been to over 25 weddings over the years

Heidi was AMAZING! Not only did she have patience with my indecisiveness, she helped me design my DREAM cake! And it is the BEST wedding cake I have ever tasted!! Bake my day was great to work with! We sat down with Heidi ahead of time to try all the amazing cakes she makes and were able to choose what we wanted for our wedding cake. We were very pleased with the beach design she did for our cake with the seashells and the cake itself was incredible! Our guests are still talking about how yummy it was!!

We loved our initial meeting w/ Heidi, my husband was very excited about this part and all the flavors and making our own cake layers was a fun experience. We were able to tell her what our vision was w/ simple sugar flowers on a buttercream three tier cake b/c of the Florida heat and humidity of July.

Day of the wedding/reception, I was so happy to see the cake it was like we had talked about and it was just fantastic. The taste of the cake was delicious, every layer was tasty and the cake wasn't dry at all. Definitely would recommend Bake My Day for events!

Heidi is unbelievable sweet and accomodating! Her cake tasting is like nothing I have ever seen before. I think we loved almost every flavor we tried. Our favorite was the mango filling and we had a tropical theme to our wedding so it was so fitting. The guest loved how unique it was! Heidi created a beautiful cake with lots of glitz and glam, covered in rhinestones and cobalt blue sashes. It truly was a work of art and looked so classy. I almost didn't want to cut it. She did an amazing job and is so great to work with! Truly a genuinely nice person! Thanks again Heidi. Hopefully we can come back on our 1 year anniversary and have a small slice of your mango filled vanilla cake! YUMM!!

I had a beautiful destination wedding setting sail aboard the yacht Solaris out of Destin, Florida cruising the Choctawhatchee Bay. Heidi impressed me with her style, creativity and detail shown on my beach wedding cake. It consisted of shells and starfish, coconut and chocolate ganache on top of edible sand. Heidi knows her stuff! Take into consideration her opinion on the compatible flavors.

Heidi McAnulla of Bake My Day is an awesome pastry chef. My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful AND delicious. She captured my vision and made it even better. She created a three tier tuxedo cake (white cake and chocolate ganache) with buttercream icing. It was decorated with delicate lace work and sugar shells. My guests LOVED the cake and had seconds! Heidi is full of energy. She can sometimes be hard to get a hold of...she has a lot of business...but she will ALWAYS return your calls or email. Just be patient.

My mom and I loved Heidi's cake so much, we did everything short of licking the plate clean at our tasting. I don't know how she makes her cake so spongy and light and her fillings so flavorful. When she asked how many guests were were having (approx. 25) and said that the three tier cake I'd asked for would serve over 60 people, I had NO doubt that it would be eaten. My husband and I had a small tier to bring home and freeze for next year (though truth be told, half of it was devoured on our car ride home). I'm very particular and detail oriented, and I knew what I wanted. I wanted to use mostly buttercream with minimal fondant since most people just peel off the fondant anyway and don't eat it. Fondant usually looks more flawless than buttercream, but it is possible to smooth buttercream and Heidi did a wonderful job. She warned me that there may be bubbles in some of the piping, but I honestly didn't notice them if there were any. Our cake looked almost identical to the picture I showed her. We chose a genoise cake with chocolate ganache and vanilla creme patisierre filling on the bottom layer and creamy coconut custard in the top two layers, and I think everyone tried both flavors (the coconut filling was the fave among our guests). Heidi did a great job with my wedding cake. I wanted simple and quirky, and she delivered that with enthusiasm. I needed my cake delivered earlier on the day of my wedding, and presto! They got it there half an hour earlier which is all I needed. The humidity that day affected part of my cake (cotton candy) so they had a back-up plan that gave the same look, just not edible, haha. It was great, and tasted AMAZING! Oh my gosh did it ever taste amazing! I really recommend Heidi and her team for your cake needs :)

Heidi at Bake My Day is amazing! Every single ingredient from her cakes is made from scratch (even the fruit filling is completely made from scratch). I decided about two weeks before my wedding that I wanted to alter my design, and she was totally receptive to the changes I wanted done. Not only that, but on my wedding day, the cake looked absolutely gorgeous and tasted phenomenal (I did a four-tiered cake with two tiers consisting of chocolate ganache with strawberry, and other tiers consisting of strawberry with genoise filling). She managed to make the design look EXACTLY like the picture I gave her of the revised design. And she does butter cream icing, which makes the cakes so much tastier than fondant cakes!

Our cake looked awesome (I showed Heidi a picture of a unique square tier design that I liked). It tasted amazing!!!! We had a harmless miscommunication, (as someone else mentioned), since we had payed the deposit a year in advance, and live in KY, we had forgotten (if we ever knew) by wedding time that we couldnt pay (over the phone) with a card bc she doesnt take cards. So we did have to rush ship a money order payment to her which was kind of time consuming when we were scrambling to get ready for our wedding trip to FL. so it would help if she communicated that point more clearly before the last minute. Not a big deal, just remember she DOES NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS and all should be fine :) ... BOTTOM LINE though, she told me to trust her on the details of the design, I did, and it looked awesome (I'm sure it wasnt an easy design), and like I said, it was DELICIOUS. She totally knows what she's doing!! we were overall really happy with Bake My Day.

I was a little skeptical initally when i used Bake My Day. During my cake tasting, the cake was not fresh and Heidi didn't seem to be flexible. She is difficult to get in touch with, because she is so busy. I envisioned talking to her more frequently to ensure that we were on the same page.

When I talked to my wedding planner, she communicated my concerns with Heidi who addressed them immediately and told me that the samples are frozen but the cakes are baked fresh for the wedding. I was concerned until....... My Wedding Day

The cake was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! I sent her a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and she EXCEEDED my expectations. I had the MOST beautiful wedding cake I had ever seen and the most DELICIOUS wedding cake I had ever tasted. It was fresh, moist, beautiful, and DELICIOUS! I had a Vanilla Genoise cake with Passionfruit filling in one layer and the rest was Italian Creme with Strawberry filling and Cream Cheese icing. The entire cake was covered in the most delicate buttercream. My cake had the design of fondant, but 100% buttercream so there was nothing wasted.

Days after my wedding, I am still eating my cake. It is taking all of my self control not to thaw out my top layer and eat it this weekend.

When she tells you that she will make a great cake, believe her. It was phenonmenal.

She is not Miss Congeniality so don't look for it, but she is a professional and an expert cake baker.

The wedding cake was beautiful, and the chocolate with peanut butter filling was sooooo rich and delicious!!! Heidi does stay VERY busy, and you should plan far in advance with her, as she books up and can be a little hard to meet with at times. She took all of my pain in the butt suggestions- thank you food network-- and put them on paper, along with her creative suggestions and turned it into an edible work of art!!! So many people told me that our wedding cake was the perfect match to the theme of our wedding, and loved it!! I think that the chocolate peanut butter cake will be my new cake of choice, even though she has tons of flavors to chose from!! Again, Heidi is very popular, so book her fast, it will be worth it!

The cake was decorated very professionally and exactly as requested. I was expecting it to taste fantastic, considering the price, but I've had better. It was good, but not that special. Maybe we didn't get one of the better flavors. Some guests didn't care for it at all, but everyone has different tastes. We had arranged to make the final payment the day before the wedding, and were a little annoyed when they waited tilll we got there to tell us they needed it in cash. We were on a tight schedule an didn't appreciate having to make an extra trip to an ATM!

The cake looked beautiful and even though we had some issues with the cake falling a part Heidi was easy to work with and very understanding. Regardless of the issues we had I woiuld recommend to a friend due to Heidi's professionalism after the issues we had.

I knew it would be difficult from the beginning to come up with a cake I would like and I lived in Texas. I chose a design I wanted. I wasn't afraid Chef Heidi couldn't pull it off based on other reviews and pictures. When I saw the cake, I was not pleased at all! Others said they liked it but I did not. It tasted fantastic! I now wish I would've chosen a design she already had on her website just so I could be sure it would be perfect. I was especially displeased with the fact I was charged for a cakeboard that was not listed on my invoice originally. Had I known the price before hand, I would've supplied my OWN board. I do like the fact I was able to supply my own cake topper. I didn't like the fact I couldn't get a hold of anyone any time I wanted to - either by phone or email. It was always a crap shoot. I learned to be very patient. Advice: Ask about all charges BEFORE you give your credit card to them.

I met with Heidi in November and showed her a picture of the cake that I wanted and she said that she had done that cake before and it was no problem. Apparently she had not actually done the cake that I wanted before because the cake she delivered to my wedding did not look like the picture that I had showed her. When I spoke with her after the wedding she said that she had started to do what we had talked about and it didn't look good so she did what she thought looked best.

My advice when working with Heidi: Be sure to emphasize to her that she needs to do what you want and not go her own way.

The cake did taste really good, though.

My daughter chose this bakery due to location for my Wedding. Cake was very dry, and icing was not what I ordered, never had that texture of icing before. Would not recommend. The cake should be delicious, taste good as well as look good! Could have gotten a better tasting cake at publix. Wasted money.

Very disappointed. There was obviously a break down in communication. The only means of communication is mostly email where you immediately get an out of office message. I sent Heidi an email on September 22, 2015 nearly three weeks before my wedding to confirm the type of cakes/flavors requested. I immediately received an out of office reply, so this means that the email went through. I did a follow-up via phone, no answer and could not leave a message, So I emailed her to confirm the changes and she claimed that she never got the email and that it was too late to change her production schedule. Secondly, what was really disappointing, I discussed the cake flavors with her because I have no knowledge of cakes and flavors. I asked her about the Italian Cream and I thought she said that it had hints of cocoa (because she speaks with a slight accent) but she really meant coconut, which I absolutely hate in a cake. The invoice had type of cake, size, icings and fillings listed (i.e. chocolate genache, french vanilla filling, butter cream, etc.) but no where did it say Italian cream with coconut. I think if a cake has coconut in it is needs to be explicitly stated like everything else on the invoice. Just don't assume that everyone is knowledgeable about wedding cakes. When I mentioned it to her she said I should have told her that I didn't like coconut. Why would I tell you something if I didn't even think that it would be part of the equation? That's just like me ordering a burger and telling the waitress that I do not like fish. On a positive note, the cake was beautiful, a little smaller than expected, but just not what my husband and I wanted. So make sure you get the specifics, down to the last detail.
