Awesome food & crew!

They were great to work with and they enjoy what they do. Jenna, her husband, & Mrs. Mary were wonderful! There was an ownership change and they did a great job and knew everything I wanted. They provided the rehearsal dinner & reception and the food was delicious! The guests kept going back for more! The crew was fantastic taking care of everyone. They really thought of everything. Highly recommend them!

They thought of everything & food was phenomenal

We had our wedding and reception in our backyard. When we first sat down with Francóis, he said we'll talk food last, let's talk about all the other things you'll need to consider. It was refreshing to have a caterer looking out for the whole event not just food. They helped organize table, chair and tent rentals, Setup without needing to use our kitchen and made everything really easy on a day that could have been very stressful. And it wasnt just him that was so helpful. His entire team was great!

Oh and everyone loved the food! Francois made sure to bring us a plate so we wouldnt forget to eat and then packed up leftovers for us also! Francois and his team made the night a success! Truly a great experience!

Amazing Job

Everyone loved the food at our wedding... especially the mashed potato bar. Everything went so smoothly with the Bagatelle staff from the very beginning until the very last dinner plate. I couldn’t be more happy with our decision to use Bagatelle!

Just an amazing caterer!!

Loved working with them! Very flexible (literally had a last minute guests, only gave us about 3 days notice). Great food! Their grilled chicken was my favorite along with the squash and zucchini. They are helpful and have wonderful communication. We did a dessert buffet and was a massive hit!

More than just good food!

Bagatelle's entire staff was so helpful from the very beginning! My husband and I were paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves and so money was a concern and they helped us find ways to save and allowed us to adjust up to the last minute. Their attentiveness didn't just stop come wedding day, but the owner helped so much during the day running around making sure everything was perfect- he even helped figure out music! He really went above and beyond, more than I even realize I am sure.

The food got approvals from everyone! Even the Greek guests loved the spinach pie! We picked up left overs and they are still delicious. We didn't have any complaints about food or service, and all the staff was willing to adjust and help out as it rained right before and then throughout with requests. We didn't plan much specifics and just went with the flow of things and the staff did a great job doing so!

Perfection! A Night to Remember!

I hired Bagatelle Catering for our son’s Rehearsal Dinner at Song Hill Reserve. From our first meeting and throughout the planning, Bagatelle was professional, responsive and an overall pleasure to work with! Francois was familiar with the venue and provided a layout for the event, it was perfect-we didn’t change a thing! Also, their expertise was a great resource of information, details and planning for me. They showed up on time, set up the entire venue including linens, served a delicious meal and did all of the clean up. Ample staff was on hand and they did a great job! I would highly recommend Bagatelle! 100% satisfied!

Excellent experience

I met with Francois twice before my event and he was wonderful in giving me ideas for my son's rehearsal dinner. He was always prompt and my questions were always answered in a timely manner. The food was excellent and I even got comments that the food was better than what was served at the wedding by another caterer. I would highly recommend them to you, You will not be disappointed

We used Bagatelle for our wedding and we loved it! The food was great, but the piece of mind we had leading up to the wedding was even better. Yanory is so detail oriented, professional, and has an unrivaled service level. She made sure everything was set for our wedding day ahead of time, and we have no complaints! The staff was WONDERFUL, and gave us the best day we could ask for!

Bagatelle is nothing short of perfection. My husband and I hired them only months before our wedding, and they were completely on top of things from the start. Francois is very thorough and makes note of everything--down to the tiniest detail. Yanory was such a pleasure to work with, and consistently responded to my every change and email immediately (even the extremely last minute ones!) They allowed us to bring in outside cake (with NO cutting fee) and outside beer, wine, and liquor (with NO corkage fee). Their prices were more than reasonable and the food and service was outstanding. Their team completely took over and ran the entire reception seamlessly--from serving drinks and replenishing food to clearing plates and cleaning spills. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our special day was flawless. I would--without a doubt--recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer to help run their event. So happy we chose them to help us with our wedding!

We had an amazing time at our wedding with Bagatelle in our corner. Not only was our event worry free (thanks to the attention to detail and the advice given by Francois), but our guests had the most amazing time! Using Bagatelle Caterers was one of the best decisions that i could have made for my wedding. Communication with them leading up to the wedding was exceptional! They went above and beyond throughout the whole planning process. The setup on the day of the wedding brought tears to my eyes and the food was delicious!! Everyone was telling me how good it was! Bagatelle has my highest recommendation!

I cannot say enough about Francois and his team at Bagatelle Catering. Bagatelle is a one-stop-shop for catering. You are able to get your food, serving ware, tablecloths, chairs, and tables. Francois thinks of every little detail when it comes to your wedding. He was able to create a layout for our wedding that allowed our guest to quickly get their food and start enjoying their meal. During our meetings Francois answered every question we had and gave us great food ideas for our wedding. The food was amazing!!

Francois and team were absolutely amazing. They worked with us every step of the way to make sure our wedding would be a success. They coordinated the rental of chairs (including delivery and pickup) for our park ceremony in addition to furniture rental, catering, and bar service for our reception. We had a meeting on site the week of the wedding to go through all the details, and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. On the day itself, the staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. We received so many compliments on both the food and the service. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Bagatelle's food and service surpassed our expectations for our daughter's wedding reception. People are still raving about the Chicken with Asparagus and Hollandaise, the Beef Tenderloin, the Salmon in Puff Pastry and the Mac and Cheese Bar. Our venue was remote; 50 miles from Greenville, SC and yet even the mussels and frites appetizer was superb! Francois and Yanory provide the highest level of customer service. I came prepared for a meeting with 14 questions. After question number three I stopped speaking and placed everything in Francois' organized, gracious hands. You will not find better food or personnel than that provided by Bagatelle.

We had an excellent experience working with Francois and Yanory. They had very detailed proposals and were very flexible in making adjustments. They had advice to guide us through, but were always receptive to any requests. We were able to enjoy our daughter's reception and not worry about the details. The food was delicious and all the staff very professional and helpful!

Bagatelle Caterers did an excellent job at my wedding. They were accommodating on anything off the menu and will work with you to meet any budget you have. I had so many compliments from the guests and family on how professional the waiters were and how great tasting the food was. By the end of the night, they packed all the food for us to take home! Thank you so much for being part of my special day!!!

Bagatelles was superb!!! We had a short time between deciding on a venue and getting married. Francois and Yanory were wonderful! They were so accomodating to everything we requested, changed, or had questions about. The day of the wedding could not have been more perfect. They did their part and so much more! Everything was perfectly set up and the food was incredible. Their presentation was spot on and they even helped us with a few odds and ends that we were struggling to finish on our part. I could not have asked for anything better on our perfect day!!! They literally take care of every little detail and I was 11o% impressed and happy. I would recommend them to anyone to cater a special event. They truly make it special! Thank you Bagatelles and the whole crew for everything!!

I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted when I began looking for a wedding caterer so I was looking into many different options Bagatelles came recommended from a close friend so I decided to meet with Francios. After our first meeting I was sold, and I hadn't even tasted the food. Francios is organized and VERY detailed which is what sold me. I knew I would want (need) someone who knew what they were doing and had all the information they needed to successfully make it through the event. The initial proposal was beyond my budgetary limitation and Francios and Yanory were very patient with me and accommodating and understanding of my budget. I am thrilled I was able to secure Bagetelle. In the months leading up to the wedding, they were very responsive to my questions and concerns. When the wedding arrived, I knew I had nothing to worry about. The food was exceptional and the day went amazingly smoothly with their help. The presentation was beautiful and all of the staff was kind and efficient.

I can't say enough good things about Bagatelle! Francois and his team were so amazing and helpful in planning our June 4th wedding. They were very responsive anytime we needed to contact them for information or to make changes prior to the event! The day of our backyard wedding, the team was efficient and and professional. The food was amazing! I definitely recommend the dessert table - it was stunning (and delicious)! We had many compliments from my family and guests. I definitely recommend Bagatelle to anyone for any event!

Francois and the Bagatelle staff did an absolutely fabulous job at my wedding reception. They took care of everything from creating a floor plan at the venue, suggesting menu options, setup/break down of the venue and bartending the event. The food and wedding cheesecakes were phenomenal. I highly recommend them for any of your upcoming events!! Thank you Bagatelle!

My wedding was better than planned thanks to Bagatelle they took care of all my guests very well, especially on a short notice. Everything was handled so well my husband and myself didn't have to worry about anything other than enjoying our wedding. Bagatelle was absolutely amazing! We hosted my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary at the TL Norris Art Gallery in Greenville, SC. The location was superb, but so was the caterer. Bagatelle made the event. The display was gorgeous and the food tasted amazing. We ordered a full mashed potato bar and the caterer even made potatoes for guests with dairy allergies. The bar had EVERYTHING you could think of. Next, we had a full salad bar and to top everything off, we had a carving station featuring a whole carved turkey, roast beef and ham. Every dip, sauce and topping you can think of came with the carving station. They provided 2 servers who were simply AMAZING! They not only kept drinks flowing, but they sliced, plated and served the cake as well as cleaned everything throughout the evening. They were so accommodating-- at the last minute, we added tables, an additional 10 chairs, table cloths and food for 10 added guests. We originally catered for 50, then 60, 75 showed up and there was enough food to accommodate them as well. This was done with no problem at all. I can't say enough positive things about my Bagatelle experience. From start to finish, they were top notch. They even visited the venue, met with the venue proprietor and created a floor diagram. Seriously a worry free event when you cater with Bagatelle.

I cannot say enough wonderful words about both the personal service, and quality of food for my daughters wedding! Francois met in our home with us for hours on end, planning, mapping, and making sure each detail of the wedding at our house, would be perfect. Last minute changes were never a problem. I am so glad I listened to his advice on electrical issues, along with septic issues for the number of people we had coming to stay with us during the ceremony. After dinner, the crew took everything down quietly (and in the dark?), as we celebrated in another section of the yard. Will be using this group again next year for another wedding, and have complete faith all will go great, as it did this past time!

Bagatelle catered our small Sunday afternoon wedding at Table Rock Lodge. Excellent food and service...we had the barbecue buffet with ribs, pulled pork, and grilled chicken, it was great! They even helped us arrange our ceremony area and also took care of all the cleanup and breakdown at the end. Well worth the money!

In 2013 I used bagatell caterers for my daughter's wedding reception. When it was time to plan my son's rehearsal dinner the caterer to choose was a no brainer. Franqois and his staff are the best. Very friendly and Iaccommodating. Oh I forgot to mention the food is outstanding.

Francois and his team were absolutely fantastic. He helped us create a menu that I looked forward to for the entire year of planning. Yes, the most exciting part of my wedding was the food (though the rest of it was just as good!). His team was on the ball and so professional. Everything from their team was set up and taken down. Any decorations, centerpieces, etc I just had to leave for them to incorporate, and afterwards the only things left to clean up were my own things. They answered any and all of my stupid (or not?) questions, right down to the last day before, very quickly and efficiently and I had no worries whatsoever that they would do a great job... and they did! 5 plus stars for Bagatelle. I would use them for any catered event!

My church hosted a Seder Meal which was catered by Bagatelle Caterers. They did such a wonderful job, paying attention to every detail. The tables were beautifully set. (tablecloths, candles, glassware, silverware, everything) How the table are set up, I think, really sets the tone/atmosphere of the room. I haven't even mentioned the food yet. From the main dish to the desserts, it was absolutely fabulous!! Francois was very knowledgeable about the Seder Meal food, set up and preparation. He was gracious enough to meet with me at my church and go over all the details, being very patient with all of my questions (and I had a lot of questions because I had never been to a Seder Meal before, let a lone be part of hosting one). The staff that came to set up and to serve were very friendly, pleasant, respectful, professional, and did such an outstanding job!! I have to also mention that the cost was very reasonable. I know Bagatelle Caterers do all different types of catering services so I can say without a doubt that Bagatelle Caterers will be doing all of our future catering.

True professionals from meeting with Francois, to interacting with Yanory and Jennifer to the 3 gentleman (unfortunately I can't recall their names now) on the actual day. It was unbelievable the amount of tasks they took care of for us that allowed us to focus on making sure everything else was taken care of. The food was delicious. I can't even tell you how many compliments we received from our guests about the servers and bartender. The food was served and cleared timely and the bartender kept our drinks full which is my kind of party. Thank you for helping us create the most amazing reception.

Bagatelle Catering was absolutely amazing at our wedding! The food was so delicious! I want the recipe for the potato salad! The staff was very professional with the promtness and clean up and the set up. When we arrived at our reception, I almost cried because of how perfect everything looked and came together so well! Bagatelle made my wedding so wonderful! What I loved the most, how my family did not have to worry about anything. Bagatelle took care of everything so there was no effort or stress on my family. Bagatelle Catering is top notch!!!!!! They went out of their way to ensure that my son's day was all he had dreamed out. Francois was there with us every step of the way. He even helped to move the chairs for the ceremony after it rained. His staff was very accommodating to all our needs as well as our staff. I will on go to Bagatelle for my catering needs in the future.

The bagatelle team was more than exceptional! Every detail was spot on and more than expected, they were very flexible and always willing to work with any changes we had! I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks!

Polite and busy staff, and the food is amazing! They run a tight ship and give you exactly what you expect. We ordered the shrimp and grits for our dinner and it came out just right. With over 200 guests and every bite of food what fresh and ready. We'll definitely call them again next time we cater!

Bagatelle Caterers did a phenomenal job!! Not only was the food fantastic but they provide all of rentals (tables, chairs, tablecloths, etc.) as well. It was a huge relief to have them handle all of that. Francois and Yanory were great at communicating about the wedding and planning. No matter what suggestions I had, they made it happen! As said, the food was wonderful!! Francois was on the ball and I knew I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING and that was worth every penny!

Our October 2013 wedding in Greenville was planned entirely by myself. I relied heavily on online reviews and personal referrals. Like most brides, I wanted great food, service, presentation, and communication from my wedding caterer for a reasonable price. WOW! I got that and more from Bagatelle Catering in Greenville. Francois was recommended by my wonderful florist Dahlia’s owner, Kristie. Even though my wedding was small compared to most, Francois and his team treated me like my wedding was the only the one on their books. I entertained a few other Greenville Caterers with excellent reviews but them lacking in attention. As a busy career woman living over an hour away from Greenville and planning the whole event myself, I needed prompt responses. Bagatelle is worth every last penny! Francois can give you so much more expertise in reception planning, layout, menu, and general physical assist than ANYONE else in the Greenville area. He set up our ceremony area the night before the wedding for the rehearsal, transported our cake from another vendor, helped with the reception venue layout and provided a fabulous and professional staff to fill any role we needed. 10 gold stars! This man is the best so book him ASAP and sleep easy!
Addendum to my review for a 10/10/13 wedding catered by Bagatelle. After posting my review, I read several other recent reviews of Bagatelle. In their defense, I know that the company not only had some critical staff changes but a large influx of new business this past Spring/Summer. Maybe Francois took on too much this Summer and Fall of 2013. Having been in the planning of my own Fall wedding all through that time, I too experienced the result of some tumult but all issues were settled to my satisfaction and I am sure Francois is working on or has worked out most of those issues. I hope potential clients will at least consider him and be open to meeting with him in their search. His experience is worth it.

Bagatelle's was a dream to work with for my wedding!! Francois and Yanory were very influential in helping us design the food for our guests.

My 2 "complaints" are 1) the cheesecakes's were not sliced/plated as I thought we discussed. However, all the guests I have spoken with still sliced their own dessert. They all knew about the dessert and wanted to try it so no plates were left empty. And 2) my husband and I DID receive a basket of food from the reception, but we did NOT receive any dessert. We were mostly looking forward to the dessert. :(

Apart from those 2 things, I was COMPLETELY PLEASED with Bagatelle's and will use them again in the future for any large event.

Francois and his team at Bagatelle Caterers are absolutely fantastic. I had my wedding reception at a private residence, and not only did Francois provide DELICIOUS food (even weeks later, our guests have been commenting on how good it was!), but he planned the entire layout of the space and arranged for all of the rentals that we would need. I really do not think we could have pulled it off without him! Francois also came out to the venue at least 4 or 5 times before the reception occurred, all as part of the service he provided. His experience with large events is evident in his work, and it was a pleasure to work with him.

Bagatelle's provided excellent service and delicious food! Francois was great at details from the location of the buffets to the placement of the tables. He also helped us determine how much beer and wine we needed and went with us to get it. His bartenders then served the beer and wine with no cork fee. His staff attended to details that make the evening special, like lighting the luminaries for us. There were no lines, the food was hot, and our guests were very complimentary. I would recommend Bagatelle's to anyone hosting a wedding or other special event.

Bagatelle did a great job providing catering for our wedding. We enjoyed Francois' candor and personality. Unfortunately, he was overbooked that day and did not oversee our reception on-site (which is the impression we were under while working him.) He had a capable staff and everything went pretty well. They didn't have a pre-served plate for us (bride & groom) when we got there, so we did have to go through the line. Two things to let you be aware of before using Bagatelle: (1) They really see themselves as a full-service event company. Whether or not you want it, they will work through room diagrams, rentals, etc. This was a little difficult for me, as I just wanted them to be our caterer. (2) Their invoices/proposals are a little hard to read/understand. For each thing (drink station, cake table) they write out who is providing the table, the linen, and the things that go on that table. This goes back to them being event planners and not just caterers, but it is kind of annoying. There are no simple invoices, they are all multi-page with excessive detail. They are more than happy to be a full service event company for you, just be prepared if you are only wanting a caterer. They were professional, clean. They do not charge a corking or cake cutting fee. Francois was helpful in picking out cheap wines for us to use that still tasted good. They really want you to have the best day ever. Francois is really fun, but he probably won't be at your venue. They also don't have a kitchen/restaurant there, so you have to go to another wedding if you want a proper tasting. Great company. Great people to work with, just know those few things in advance, and you'll love it!

Bagetelle Caterers were absolutely amazing the day of the wedding. It rained 30 minutes before the outside ceremony and the staff took it upon themselves to wipe every chair down. There were roughly 275 chairs.

Francois is a full caterer. He does and cares and informs about everything that has to do with the wedding regardless if you are only asking about food. That makes him special. He cared dearly for you and the guests. Yanory, his assistant, was extremely helpful, prompt and friendly. The servers and cooks at the actual venue were apparently on top of it and working very hard. The food looked beautiful! Because of their incredible ranking on theknot.com and all of their awards I saw on the wall I did not even bother to ask for a taste testing. Half of the guests liked the food fine. The other half of the guests, I heard from my close family, thought the food was barely ok / terrible. I felt the same as the first half, where I was just thankful to eat some food. For the price I paid, I hoped to have food that was great. Though these caterers were trying their best to cut down prices for me I wish I had a lot more time to help them craft a better taste so the food would have been a good kind of memorable and I would not have envied more affordable options.

When I was searching for a caterer for my wedding, I really wanted two things: excellent food and excellent service. I received neither on my special day. Bagatelle Catering has received many "Best Of" awards, however, DO NOT BE DECEIVED. They are not justly awarded.

Francois Bertin, the owner, needs a serious attitude check. He actually got into a fight with my Bartenders (also good friends of mine) at my wedding because they wouldn't serve coffee and tea!! Nevermind the fact the we hired 3 waiters with Bagatelle to take care of this very thing. It was a buffet, so it is not like these waiters were busy attending to individuals. He then proceeded to pull my husband away from our reception and scream at him about how unprofessional our bartenders were (which were, incidentally, doing exactly what we asked them to do). He was rude to my family who were generously helping me set up for the big day. Prior to the wedding, he wouldn't return any of our phone calls or emails and he failed to give us proposals in any kind of timely manner - which, as one can imagine, gave us quite a bit of heartburn in preparing for the the most important day of our lives.

Our food was cold and it amounted to the cliched "crappy wedding food". Needless to say, I was very disappointed. However, thank goodness our wonderful bartenders took such good care of our guests. Thanks to them, they barely noticed the subpar food or the argument that ensued prior to the reception.

My new daughter-in-law chose this caterer on the basis of recommendations... I sat down with Francois one evening and he seemed pleasant and competent. I never dreamed that the actual results would be any different. The wedding was this past Friday evening. The wait staff was amazing... pleasant and attentive...but the food was horrendous. The pork was chewy and tough, the chicken was uneatable... the salad was just baby greens... nothing added. The rolls were packaged and the green beans were canned....The Brie encased in pastry was delightful...too bad there was not enough for 90 people and to top off this entire rant... ALL the food was cold. Imagine how embarrassed I was and still am, since the caterer was my gift to the young couple. The photographer that we had to hire at the last minute though, was amazing! My eldest daughter who is also a photographer, became ill at the last minute. Francois really saved the day ( literally ) with this recommendation. My children also had trouble with the final bill being very different from any of the original quotes... I am really disappointed with Bagatelle caterer's and NEVER wold I hire them again for anything.

I was recently a guest at a wedding at the Upcountry History Museum. The venue is beautiful, but the catering left a lot to be desired. I have been at events before where Bagatelle did the catering and things were great, but this time the food was horrible. The pasta was cold and gummy, the sauces looked and tasted like they were pre-made, the chicken was undercooked, and the beef was all fat. My friends had their ceremony and reception at the same place, and the caterer did a good job of switching everything around, but they missed the mark with the food and presentation. In the past, this caterer has done a great job. Based on other recent reviews, it seems something has definitely changed at Bagatelle, and not for the better.

Something has happened. This place use to be awesome. The first time I used them was about a year ago. But recently I had the worst experience ever. I couldn't get an initial quote in a timely manner. Took about 2 1/2 weeks. The final quote was $750 higher than the original. He tried to slide in a bunch of extras that we did not need or want. The got an attitude when I simply asked him to remove them. Ridiculous amount charged for the wait staff. They are $17.25/ hr per wait staff. My event was to last one hour. from 3 to 4 for 40 people. He first quoted me 2 servers. But on the final quote he changed it to 4 servers. He said he couldn't serve 40 people with only two servers. I asked why didn't you tell me that on the original quote? The number of people had not changed. I asked and he got an attitude like I was doing something wrong. On top of that I was being charged for 8 hours when my event only lasted 1. I understand that a few companies charge for travel to venue but my event was only 10 minutes from Bagatelle. The tables where already setup all he had to do was bring the food and setup the banquet table. The big difference I noticed from the last time I used Bagatelle was Francois. I knew he owned it but I never had to talk to him before it was always someone else. Francois Bertin is the worst person you could talk to when your trying to plan an event. He will get an attitude and start yelling at you even if your questioning his mistake. Go somewhere else. I will be from now on. My event was simple. I could not imagine having to deal with him over something important like a wedding.

HORRIFIC !!! I don't know where all the good reviews came form. Maybe people with too much money or too little time to look over his proposal. This place is a nightmare to deal with. It takes forever and a day for Francois Bertin to get you a proposal and then he does not honor it. Price for the servers went up, price for the food went up. Was charged 3 different time for stuff that was not needed. The complex owner of the building we rented in Greer SC sat down with Francois Bertin and I and told him what we did not need because they would supply it. He still tried to charge us in the updated proposal for the things. Then it was a 30 minute argument with him to get him to remove stuff we didn't need. Francois needs a serious attitude check. You cant talk to him about anything without him getting an attitude. Even when it's his fault. The food was good but that's about it. The servers act as if they don't speak English and are very unprofessional. Again I am not sure where theses good reviews came form. Food was good, a little cold but I would not use Francois Bertin again if he offered to do my event for free.
