Gena was absolutely amazing. She helped both my husband, Daniel, and me plan our Charleston wedding while we were living in Denver, and I truly cannot say enough good things about her.
She answered every single question we had and was incredibly organized from start to finish. The surveys and questions she sent covered everything—nothing was overlooked. I’m very Type A, and the fact that I felt completely comfortable handing everything over to her says a lot. I had zero concerns leading up to the big day.
Gena is professional, kind, and an absolute joy to be around. She made our wedding day feel perfect, relaxed, and even fun especially during the photo session. If I could get married again, I would choose Gena over and over without hesitation.
I cannot recommend her enough. You will not be disappointed! -

Gena at b Wed is the absolute BEST! We wanted an intimate elopement ceremony to share with our immediate family and she flawlessly brought this to life. From the very first time we talked, we knew we were in the best hands possible. She spreads out every step of the planning process so that you're not too overwhelmed from the beginning. She is very responsive and always there to answer all your questions. She lets you be as involved as you want, but takes on all the heavy lifting to make the process super easy for you. All of the vendors she booked were incredible - from the florist, officiant, hair and make up artist, and the photographer - we couldn't have handpicked anyone better ourselves. When it came to the day of the ceremony, she had a great line of communication with us throughout the day, and had a schedule in place so we knew exactly when and where we had to be places. Highly recommend working with Gena at b Wed!!! -

Expert in her field, and absolute Gem
Cannot put into words how amazing Gena is at what she does. The idea of planning a wedding had me so stressed that I just avoided it altogether. Then when we decided 2023 was the year I stumbled upon BWed’s website and reached out because she had the most good reviews online. I fully expected her to say we didn’t have enough time to plan a wedding in less than five months. Boy was I wrong. She immediately got to work on our elopement and when I say stress free (for me) I mean stress free. All I had to do was check in every few days and make final decisions. She went and found all the things and took care of all the details. We eloped +4 guests and it really felt like Gena was our 5th guest. She had everything figured out to the minute for the big day and I couldn’t have been happier. To be able to just show up to your destination wedding and not stress over the details is priceless. Gena is an expert in her field and I would trust her to plan literally anything for me. She found our venue and recommended our hotel. She took care of my bouquet, the musician, photographer, and officiant. She held my hand along the way and made tiny suggestions here and there that really made a big difference. She is an absolute gem. If you’re getting married and need help, please call Gena. The only time I panicked was after the wedding when it was time for her to go. She's affordable, very quick to respond, and is so cool, calm & collected that she kept me grounded throughout the entire planning process. She’s incredible, ten stars. -

Destination / Elopement Dream!
Gena with bWed Charleston brought our wedded dreams to life by helping us commit to forever under the live oaks incorporating our religious preferences in selecting our officiant, equipping me with the best hair and makeup (literally- I’ve never been more happy than this day with professional beauty services), remembered ALLLLL the little things when planning our day, and helped us incorporate our immediate families / daughters in the best of ways! Not to mention- she’s so much fun while strolling streets of Charleston to encompass all of the views into such a special day! We are forever grateful and would recommend her a thousand times over. -

Gena was amazing! My husband's deployment got pushed up so we had to plan an elopement in two weeks. She was so quick to respond, asked all the questions I wasn't thinking about, and made sure that everything was perfect. Everything I asked for happened and plenty more that made the day perfect. My makeup and hair artist was perfect as well. She also complimented b Wed and Gena the whole time. My flowers were perfect. Cameron was my photographer and it was everything I wanted with my wedding pictures. Also, my officiant, Casey, was perfect and worked with us to make our ceremony exactly what we envisioned. We also went through Gena to have a car service and Richard was such a great man to have around on an important day. I still can't get over how great this day was all because of b Wed. I can not say enough great things about Gena and b Wed. -

Everything we dreamed of
After searching and searching for a wedding planner for our destination wedding, we found Gena and I could not be more pleased that we did. She was so determined to make our wedding exactly how we imagined it to be even when we were 900 miles away! She answered all of our questions ( we had a ton) and planned everything- from flowers to makeup and contacting the officant and the photographer. We didn't have to worry about a thing. When we finally met Gena on our wedding day she was so nice and inviting and it made me feel like I knew her for years. If you are trying to plan a destination wedding I would chose B Wed Charleston!!!! You will not be disappointed! -

Gena is an absolute gem. From the first email interaction we had, it was clear to me that she was the right person for the job. She is extremely communicative, detail oriented, knowledgeable, and full of amazing suggestions/ideas. On our wedding day, there was not one second that I worried about anything because I knew Gena was taking care of everything.

Excellent Coordinator!
My husband and I eloped in December and were very thankful to work with b Wed. We had been told by numerous other couples how stressful the planning process could be and we were both very busy at work, so having a coordinator for our elopement was a lifesaver. Going into the process, we didn’t have any ideas on what to do and Gena handled everything we needed, including selecting an officiant and photographer, making suggestions on locations, sending helpful reminders and checklists, and was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process. I didn’t expect to get that level of coordination and engagement since we were just doing a no-guest elopement, but I was very thankful for all her help and advice. We would highly recommend her to anyone planning an elopement or wedding. -

Phenomenal Wedding Planner
Gena was our wedding planner for our elopement in June 2021. She was absolutely phenomenal. We couldn’t have asked for anyone or anything better. She handled absolutely everything. We were able to enjoy our engagement and remove any stress from the dreaded wedding plans. She made sure to get everything we requested and went above and beyond anything we could have done on our own. We chose the venue and our anniversary/date and she made it happen. She spaced out the questions/requests so we weren’t overwhelmed and was very responsive whenever we emailed/called. All of the people she chose to help make our day special were an absolute pleasure! My hair and makeup were flawless. The officiant gave us the ceremony we will alway remember. Our flowers were beautiful. Our photographer was able to perfectly capture the love and laughter. You would not go wrong if you choose to work with Gena! -

B Wed is the very best!
Our wedding was perfect thanks to b Wed Charleston!
I reached out to Gena exactly 4 months before our wedding date. We had just decided to elope, and the countdown was on. I was feeling a little stressed and nervous about the whole process, but Gena calmed my nerves and made everything magic! Here are a few of my favorite things about working with Gena:
1) Completely stress free! Her packages take the guess work out of the whole process and really simplify planning. It minimizes the choices you have to make and completely removes stress. This was especially important to me since we had a short timeline and were planning from a distance for a destination elopement. I tell everyone that I only had to pick my dress and my husband. Gena took care of the rest!
2) Access to the very best vendors. It was nice to have someone make arrangements for me, but also a bit of a risk! Turns out, I didn’t have anything to worry about. Every single vendor that Gena selected for our day was beyond perfect. Everyone raved about the flowers, the cake, the pictures, hair and makeup, etc. Not being from Charleston, there is NO way I would have done that good picking everything myself. Gena only works with the best!
3) Supporting women-owned businesses. This was important to me on my big day. I wanted to support women entrepreneurs—especially during COVID! Pretty much every dollar we spent went to women-owned businesses thanks to Gena and b Wed.
4) Excellent communication. Gena is SO responsive and stays in close communication throughout the process. I never wondered where anything stood because she was so proactive and detail oriented.
5) Surprisingly affordable! One reason we decided to elope was the cost. Everyone knows that weddings are expensive, but not everyone knows it doesn’t have to be that way! Our day was everything we wanted and it was a fraction of the cost we would have spent on a traditional wedding or even compared to some other elopement and “minimonies” vendors. Gena is worth every penny and then some.
It’s been one month since we got married, and my husband and I keep talking about how stress-free and fun our day was. Saving money and time was nice, but the most important thing that Gena did for us was allow us to focus on each other and our guests for our wedding day rather than worrying about a bunch of details. We are so grateful for her and cannot recommend her and b Wed Charleston enough!

I could write a novel on how amazing Gena has been to us since we first contacted her about planning our elopement. She was so patient with us figuring out our timeline, and she humored all of my ridiculous anxiety-motivated questions through the whole process. She got so much done in a short period of time, and the quality of all the services/products she got for our wedding completely exceeded expectations. I came into the process with the mindset “we’re asking her to plan an elopement in a month, we have no room to be too picky about the details,” but Gena involved us in every decision to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, from cake design to bouquet colors, and she provided sound advice anytime we needed it. We had to cancel our original wedding plans and move it up seven months due to military orders, and of course that was saddening at first, but that quickly melted away when I realized I’d get to marry the love of my life sooner, and that an amazing planner like Gena was going to make it as stress-less as possible. If I had a million dollars, all of it would’ve gone toward her tip. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done. -

Top Notch!
Gena was truly incredible! Initially, I had emailed a few different wedding services in Charleston and was instantly drawn to bWed because the communication was the best by far. She was very professional, personable, and treated you like a friend from beginning to end. No question or task was too big for Gena, and any question I had was answered with kindness and promptness. We had a slight unprecedented hiccup on our wedding day, but Gena had it smoothed out before I even realized there was a bump in the road. Although our wedding was small, Gena was keyed in on every little detail and lined up top notch vendors for our big day, and I can’t even begin to express my level of gratitude! Considering eloping in Charleston, but want the full wedding experience? This is your girl! I can’t sing her praises enough! -

Gena & Bwed made my childhood dreams come true. We were married on 1.02 at White Pointe Gardens and it was an absolute fairytale. I have been a bridesmaid in at least 15 weddings and I have heard every Bride mention something that could have been better or gone better, we do not have a single complaint or desire to change anything Gena made sure the day was absolutely perfect and stress free. In the weeks leading up to the wedding any concern or wish I had Gena handled and placed me at ease. I am forever glowing in happiness at how special our wedding day was. My now husband and I planned our wedding in Charleston while I was deployed overseas, he was living in a different state and we tried to nail down our perfect vision of a small intimate ceremony. Gena's attention to detail is rarely found in a person, let alone in a business. I initially had a budget that I was sticking to - since I consider myself a planner and the wedding was very small- I didn't factor in any additional help. Closer to our date, I became overwhelmed and realized that help was something I desperately needed. So I asked my sister to handle a few simple tasks and when she failed to take them seriously, I knew I would need to hire help.
We live in Atlanta but we were getting married in Charleston, so that person would need to be Charleston based. I did my due diligence researching Day Of Coordinators and when I came upon bWed Charleston, my first impression was she answered me right away and each time I communicated with her, the response was immediate. That alone is priceless for an out-of-state bride! Her price compared to others was reasonable but her attitude, her take it another step initiative was something I would have paid extra for! Gena became a VERY intricate and important element in event - looking back at things now, the day would have never turned out as perfect as it did with out her assistance. She took the initiative to handle everything I couldn't being out of state. We finally met the day of the wedding because she took the extra step to meet and pick up the toast items. She met with the venue point of contact and sent me pictures of the space, I could go on. She was my surrogate and handled everything instinctively like I would have. Gena, I am so happy that you were a part of our day- there is NO WAY I could have had the wedding of my dreams without your help!

Absolutely perfect experience with b Wed Charleston!
Gena with b Wed Charleston was absolutely fantastic. As soon as we reached out to her for our elopement she responded within a couple hours and from there the experience was nothing short of perfect. Gena did an amazing job listening to exactly what we wanted for our wedding day, provided input on items we had not considered and coordinated everything perfectly.
Gena coordinated everything from flowers, cake, location, hair and makeup, decorating our hotel suite, transportation. You name and she took care of it and was so prompt in response and getting everything arranged. Absolutely a wonderful experience and highly recommend! -

For any bride looking into b Wed Charleston I just have to say they're the best. My husband and I got married three months ago and Gena made sure it was perfect. She was awesome for making it happen right after Valentine's and adapted to our desires. The communication was great, no other service was so in touch as she was. We had some doubts about our date and she bared with us through our indecision.
Gena got me the best photographer I could have wished for as well as the make-up artist. I felt beautiful and happy that day. The ceremony was tailored to us and she made sure our children were part of it.
Her customer care is amazing, she had a hand written follow up note at the 1 month mark! Basically we felt special from moment one and way after the wedding.
So, please work with her as she will make your special day one not to forget and you'll feel more like a friend helping you out.

Planning a wedding from out of state was so easy working with Gena. We got exactly what we wanted and never had to worry about a thing- she arranged it all which allowed us to truly enjoy our day. We had a 5 Star experience with b Wed Charleston! Gena was a delight and professional to work with! She coordinated everything perfectly from reserving the venue, officiant, photographer, flowers, schedule the day of the wedding ceremony, and even a sailboat ride and couples massage. She was very thorough with information and stayed in contact throughout the planning process. Eloping is suppose to be a stress free experience and it was exactly that! I had never been to Charleston and it exceeded my expectations.
The ceremony went as planned at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens and the pictures turned out amazing! They have been mentioned as the most beautiful wedding photos people have ever seen.
I can’t thank them enough!

We started our big day with Shayla, who pampered us for 3 hours in our hotel room. Gena was a GEM, she was available from the first day I contacted her until after our wedding, she made this seamless and so special. Meredith's amazing energy really got the perfect pictures! I cant even begin on the Bouquet.. It was exactly what I envisioned. The entire team at B Wed ROCKED it! We have sung their praises to every newly engaged couple we met! -

When my fiance and I decided to elope to Charleston, I did a Google search for wedding planners and came across b Wed Charleston. I knew immediately that this is who we should work with to plan our elopement. The website was beautiful and the pictures painted such a gorgeous picture of all the options available to us in Charleston. Gena was amazing! She helped us every step of the way. Stress free and amazing!
Gena and her team were absolutely a god-sent to us! I was overwhelmed with the idea of getting quotes from all the vendors and coordinating them the day of...and all for a wedding of 24 guests!! She stepped right in and answered all of our questions and was the perfect liaison between us and the vendors!! My only worry, which was put to rest the day of our wedding, was not knowing who the vendors were ahead of time. She really does do her research and works with the best in the industry, trust her!! -

Stress free and everything I wanted!
Gena is a gem! I was so happy I stumbled upon her website while looking to plan my elopement. Being 28 weeks pregnant when I started to plan the wedding I wanted everything to be as stress free as possible. I knew what I wanted in a package and Gena was happy to accommodate my requests. We found an awesome 1965 VW micro-bus that we wanted to transport us and she took care of the booking as well as setting up pick-up times. She also scheduled my hair stylist/makeup artist, Carrie, who was phenomenal! Pamela, our officant that she picked was such a sweetheart and made us feel so comfortable. Since we were getting married at Magnolia Plantation and there were a few moving parts GEna even granted my request and met us at the plantation to make sure everything was seamless when we arrived. She helped make our day perfect with her dedication and hard work! Thanks again Gena!!! :) -
