Amazing Experience & Stunning Photos

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Hillary. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. She shot our engagement session, boudoir, rehearsal dinner and our wedding with 400 people. She took time before the wedding to come and scope out the venues we would be going to as well as traveled an hour to each other session. She shot every detail we wanted for our big day. She sent pictures back to us in a timely manner after each session. I couldn't be happier with choosing Hillary to be our photographer!

Beyond amazing

I can't say enough good things about Hillary, she made everything so much fun. She's talented, kind hearted and hilarious. If you question whether or not you should hire her your wrong. Just hire her!!!

Look no further than Azena!

I cannot recommend Hillary as a wedding photographer strongly enough! I met Hillary at a wedding expo and was immediately drawn to her vibrant portraits and the way she captures candid, heartfelt moments. I also appreciated her approachable, easy going personality, and after a follow-up phone call and reviewing her online galleries with my now-husband, we were excited to book Azena for our wedding. That said, neither of us were particularly "excited" about doing an engagement shoot, but knew that it would be a good opportunity to get to know Hillary and feel more comfortable in front of the camera. It turned out to be a total blast and the photos she took are jaw-dropping. That was just the beginning. Hillary is a whiz at weddings - we met beforehand to plan out the day, locations, portraits etc. and she took it from there. She kept things organized and moving along, but also fun and lighthearted and captured everyone at their best. Her experience and professionalism were invaluable and I love love LOVE our photos! If you're looking for a wedding photographer, do yourself a favor and book her before someone else does!

Hillary is a hidden gem!

My husband and I first sat down with Hillary and she was professional the whole wedding planning experience. She asked about our story, took some notes, and really got to know my husband and I. Our engagement session was fabulous, and she was a pleasure to work with! Our wedding day came soon after, she had great photo opp shots and worked well with our families! I would highly recommend Hillary to anyone for their wedding photo needs!

Captures the moment

Hillary made us feel welcome from the moment we had our introduction. She helped us feel comfortable and brought beautiful glimpses into the best day of our lives. These photos will be treasured thanks to her capturing the candid, gentle, and intimate moments of the day. She is easy to work with, has a wonderful eye for unique shots and has a positive personality.

I wouldn’t go with anyone else!

To say the least, Azena helped make our day one to never forget. They were just fantastic- they were professional while also making us feel comfortable, and were very accommodating. Besides the quality of the people, the quality of their work is excellent!

Hillary was really great to work with. She had enough of a system to make sure things ran smoothly, but was flexible enough to accommodate our needs. We are so happy with our photos and have received a ton of compliments on them. She delivered our photos really quickly -- just over a month after the ceremony! Our engagement photos were also very easy. We're not very good at being photographed but she managed to get photos of us looking natural and happy. She captured a lot of great candid moments of folks looking happy and relaxed in addition to all the posed photos (which were also great). Definitely recommend!

Hillary Schave from Azena Photography did an AMAZING job with our engagement photos and wedding pictures! Hillary really listened to what we were looking for in our photos. She recommended a great local park for our engagement pictures which provided many different looks and was gorgeous at sunset. We have gotten so many compliments on our engagement photos and proud to share them with family and friends. Our wedding photos are just as stunning as our engagement photos! We had our wedding at a themed hotel, but Hillary and her assistant photographer Klara were able to incorporate the theme into some of our wedding photos which made it fun and unique. Hillary and Klara were both very professional, easy going, and fun to work with. They did a wonderful job capturing our special day! Throughout the wedding planning process, Hillary was very easy to get a hold of and promptly responded to emails. Hillary went above and beyond by providing me with one of my wedding photos early, so I could display it at funeral for a loved one that passed away shortly after my wedding. The picture was beautiful, and it meant so much to our family to have our most recent family picture displayed there. My husband and I are so grateful that we chose Hillary Schave of Azena Photography for our engagement and wedding photography! We HIGHLY recommend Azena Photography!

Working with Hillary is like spending time with someone you have known for years. She makes her clients feel comfortable, listens to their ideas and preferences but also takes the lead and is creative if you aren't sure what you would like. We used her services for our engagement, wedding and maternity photos and plan to ask her to take some family photos soon. We highly recommend her. You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I absolutely loved Hillary and Azena Photography! We are so glad that we went with them! We got so many photos and Hillary always made sure we got the pictures we wanted and was very personable. It's like talking with a family member! I will for sure go back to her in the future for family and baby pictures! I also got a boudoir from her and she made it so much fun! You will get amazing results for the right price!

Our wedding day was one of the warmest days of the summer with high humidity and a storm thrown in as well! We had pictures taken outdoors prior to the ceremony and even though we were dodging the rain drops, Hillary and Heidi managed to not only get great pictures, they handled everything with patience and a smile on their face. We are very happy with their service and the final pictures. The only thing we didn't expect was the amount of time it would take to get our proofs and the final prints we had made, but we totally understand since it was a summer wedding and Heidi was booked every weekend. She was very responsive to our emails and we would highly recommend her.

Choosing Azena Photography to photograph our wedding was the best decision! Hillary and her team her absolutely amazing to work with. Hillary is an amazing and hard working photographer. Our wedding pictures are beautiful and captured the day wonderfully. Working with Hillary was absolutely amazing. She has a way with the camera. During our engagement photos, at the Dane County Farmer's Market, it poured and poured and poured. Yet, somehow she was able to capture some great shots and it seemed that when we least expected it (ie we were hiding under a storefront awning) she got our favorite shots. Hillary is so relaxed and calm, which really helped keep me calm on our wedding day. She and I had met before the big day and talked about certain shots we wanted and what the plan for the day would be. She was very open and responsive to my ideas but she also had great ideas to go along with mine. She and her assistant were spot on with their photos during our wedding day and captured just about everything I was hoping to get captured. The location where we were taking some "garden" photos was under construction but Hillary had a vision and was able to capture some great moments. We got married two months ago and I still struggle to decide which are my favorite photos. And once I've decided, then I find more I like. Hillary and her assistants are very professional and experienced. We definitely made the right choice in hiring Azena Photography and I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Very professional & was interested in what we were looking for with pictures of our wedding, even drove almost an hour to do our engagement pictures & consultation right before the wedding. Absolutely love the pictures & love all the major events of the day that were captured without asking. Definitely recommend Azena Photography worth every dollar (which wasn't much compared to other photographers for everything you get).

Hillary was absolutely fantastic! She was very laidback and made all of the pre-wedding planning so simple. At the wedding, she must have taken a zillion pictures. She was amazing! She captured every single moment of the day and put everyone at ease while doing it. We had a winter wedding and wanted some outdoor shots. She found the greatest locations and took the most wonderful pictures. We will definitely be using her again as our family grows!

I classified this event as a baby shower but it was really a newborn photo shoot for my 9 day old. First off I would like to say although I loosely scheduled the sitting for my baby's birth announcements before he was born, I had no idea that due to the complications surrounding his birth I would not be able to travel to the studio to get the pictures taken in the time frame I desired. Hillary was more than sympathetic to my situation and offered to drive to my home and create a studio atmosphere here for us to take our photos. This is no small feat because I live in Columbus WI which adds a 30 minutes commute onto the photo shoot both ways. Hillary worked around what little schedule newborns have and showed up with a wonderful assortment of props and patiently waited for my newborn to fall asleep (which took a couple of breast feedings and all of an hour). Her pictures were fantastic and she created a calm and nurturing environment for all of us to feel comfortable in. She even brought a space heater so my fussy baby could be comfortable for all the cute naked baby pictures! Hillary is the absolute best and has a way of capturing the truly beautiful moments that slip away so quickly.

I would absolutely recommend Azena photograpy! Hillary's style is just what we were going for. We had so much fun at both our engagement session and our wedding. Choosing a great photographer for our wedding was very important to my husband and I and we found a FANTASTIC photographer with Hilary at Azena. She was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed working with her every step of the way. She answered all of our questions from the start, was extremely accomodating and flexible with scheduling appointments and sessions. We LOVE our photos from our wedding (and engagement session) and get so many compliments from family and friends. We are so happy and can't wait to work with Hilary more in the future when we decide to start a family or want to update any photos. We absoultey would (and have) recommended Azena Photography to others.

Hillary was great to work with prior to the wedding. She made sure she knew what we were hoping to capture in our pictures before the big day. Day of Hillary and Heidi were both great to work with. They made everyone feel at ease and really captured the day for us. I was very happy with everything and thought the fees were very fair. I did purchase an album too - and while they are expensive, Hillary did an amazing job on the design, we have received so many compliments on it. It has really tunred out to be a great momento to highlight our wedding day. As a part of the package I am now have some lifetime perks with Azena that mean I do nto pay sitting fees for any portrait sessions, only pay for the pictures I want to purchase. With my first child on the way I will definitley be working with Hillary on newborn photos!! Overall, I can't say enough about how happy we were with our experience working with Hillary and Azena Photography - really outstanding.

Azena Photography did a great job at our wedding. They had many ideas on different poses/props we could use along with many different locations we could possible use for back round scenry. They worked with us during the photo sessions as well as when it came time to pick up our pictures. We had many options for the pictures as far the style, size, how many of each, black & white or colored. Not only did we received a book & disc with hundreds of pictures from the wedding we also received a higher quality of the pictures on a disc as well.

Hillary and Angela photographed our wedding and they did a beyond amazing job!!! They were sure to take all the pictures I requested (I found some photo ideas on Pintrest), and still had tons and tons of ideas. We were bummed that we didn't have 5 hours to just take as many pictures as we could!! I just happened to have a white head zit on my face, and Angela even noticed it and popped it for me just so it wasn't in the pictures!! That's beyond dedication to her job :) They were fun and original and just plain spectacular! I recommend them to anyone and everyone I show my tons and tons of wedding pictures to!!

Was thrilled with Hillary's photographs! They captured our day perfectly! I didn't have many ideas going into it, and she gave us everything we wanted! And we even got a free engagement session, which I didn't plan on...and my favorite part is the CD afterwards with all of our pictures!

My experience working with Azena Photography was very good. There was one little hiccup- which was our original photographer became sick and unable to shoot our wedding. I was initally very nervous as to how the photos would turn out but they were beautiful. Over all I would give Azena and our photo team 4 stars.
