Andy and his team are absolutely amazing! We hired them 1 week before our wedding and I am so grateful they were still available for our special day. From the moment they arrived they made us all feel comfortable even with cameras all around. I was so worried about making sure he got shots that he wanted or needed but as soon as they got there he said not to worry that they would take care of everything, and they were on it! They are very professional and so easy to work with. (our venue coordinator was being so rude to our vendors but Andy was so professional and composed, he just smiled about it and didn't let it affect him for a second!)
Their work speaks for itself. When you hire a videographer for your wedding its about capturing those special moments and telling a story and Awkward Turtle Media is the best team to do this for you. They had awesome ideas that they incorporated which I would have never thought about. Thank you for doing such an amazing job! Keep up the great work :)Andy and his team are absolutely amazing! Our wedding was this past Saturday and we hired Awkward Turtle Media to cover the videography portion of the wedding. We looked around at a few different videographers, but the Awkward team's portfolio was by far the most impressive and the cost was very reasonable. We absolutely made the right choice! These guys are highly skilled with a keen eye for amazing shots! We had 4 videographers working that day: Andy, Jason, David and Jordan. Each individual was constantly busy throughout the 9-10 hour day. They requested that we provide them with a couple slow songs and upbeat songs ahead of time so that they can visualize and set the pace of the video. I love the fact that we are able to use our own songs as it makes the video much more personal.
Having 4 videographers, they were able to shoot both the guys and girls getting ready at the same time. The team is very knowledgeable and knew what shots would look good, so they simply just gave us instructions as to what to do, which made it much easier on us. Our wedding was a haunted themed wedding and they put together a Freddy Krueger countdown to start off our video, which we absolutely LOVED. We surprised my wife with a Same Day Edit video presentation and my wife got so excited seeing the countdown (link to the video below). Andy slaved a good 8 hours during the wedding putting together the amazing same day edit video.
I wanted to incorporate a little bit of my car in the video and they knew exactly what angles and shots to take. My wife didn't care much when I told her I wanted the car in the video initially, but when she saw the car in the video, she actually liked it because the Awkward crew shot it so well!
Hands down, I had such a great experience with this team and would definitely recommend them! Finding the perfect vendors for your wedding day can be the most stressful thing ever!
When my husband and I met Andy, my husband told me "these guys know their sh*t, and I think that whatever they produce for us will have us watching it forever." There truly was something special about these awkward turtles and during the 9 months until our wedding, we truly realized how special they were. Andy and his team would follow up with us, let us know that they got some cool new toys and would be using it at our wedding, and this got us super excited and realized that they weren't just a group of people that were trying to get by with the simplest things, but they wanted our day to be above and beyond our expectations! They really didn't have to do any of this for us, but as artists, they wanted to make sure their work was going to exceed their own expectations.
-They got to our house before 6am.
-They had 2 people with my husband and 2 with me, in addition they had walkie talkies to better communicate with each other.
-They were patient when things ran late, they helped out when things were difficult.
-They had a drone that circled around so they could capture aerial images.
-I don't think they ever ate, because they wanted to make sure they captured enough videos for our Same Day Edit.
-They had mics for my husband and I, so during our ceremony they were able to capture the voice with the highest quality and you can see that in our same day edit.
-They went with us to take pictures, when they didn't have to.
-They got to the reception early to work with the manager to make sure everything was set up and good for the projector and sound.
-They worked with the DJ to help him set up as well.
-When we found out the projector didn't work, Andy just told me not to worry about it, but also kept me updated to make sure that I was still in the loop and knew what was going on.
Based on all of this..i would say exceeding our expectations is an understatementFinding the perfect vendors for your wedding day can be the most stressful thing ever!

Awkward Turtle Media are hands down the best video media out there. I have seen many other video weddings, but they can not compare to them. My husband and I were truly amazed at what they were able to do. Jason and Andy were really professional and attentive to what we wanted. They threw out a few suggestions to us that turned out to be that wonderful finishing touch on our video.
On our wedding day, they were there the whole time and captured many of the funny and cheerful moments. They even did a same day edit video to the delight of all our guest. They made sure everything was right and asked us for our input as well which we really appreciate. I can't thank them enough for the hard work they put in and the great work that they did. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a well prepared, professional, and a great film production team.

I am a little late with this review but I hired Awkward Turtle Media for my wedding on 07/07/13. These guys are AWESOME. I was a nervous wreck the second the day started. I do not like being the center of attention but of course it can't be helped since it's my wedding day, but Andy really made me feel at ease. When he had to record me he helped me relax and was even making me laugh. He really made the whole process very easy.
Andy, Jason and Jimmy did a wonderful job especially on our same day edit video. All our friends and family, including my husband and I were really impressed with the video. They were raving about it for days. As for me, I can't stop watching it! And this is just the same day edit video; I can't wait for the rest of the footage. I am sure it is just as good.
I must say they were my best vendor and that is saying a lot considering all my vendors delivered well. I really believe I got my money's worth and more. Best decision I made was booking them because after everything, all you will have to remember the wedding is the videos. I will forever thank them for the awesome job that they did. I hired Awkward Turtle Media for my wedding about a year ago. I knew instantly they were the videotographers that i wanted given the work I seen on their website. I thought they did a wonderful job with Susan and Steven wedding video clip as the captured each special moments with bride and groom from getting dress (detailed with rings, dress, tux, makeup, hair) along with the special Asian moments from the tea ceremony, walking down the aisle, exchanging rings, receptions, and games played. I was blown away so I called and spoke with Andy To and set the time and pricing AFFORDABLE!
What I was really impressed about was the day before my wedding when Andy called me to ask me where would I be at from 6am to 10am (typical Asian wedding usually requires the bride to wake up 4am in the morning to get ready for tea ceremony and where the groom picks up the bride) however, mines was planned differently and I didn't need Andy to start until 10am. Andy and his working partner, Jason came at 9:30am where he start shooting me for my make up/hair. First my family, fiance, and I thought, whoa- these two guys are young- we weren't sure if they knew what they were doing but they were VERY professional; they came up with new ideas for our video. They were both down to earth and SUPER easy to work with. They made us feel really COMFORTABLE with the cameras and for people to shoot on your wedding day you have to expect that it was going to be in your face. Surprisingly, the whole time I didn't really notice they were there and I wasn't even distracted by them. They were absolutely GREAT.
Now, when I got my highlighted video, it was freaking AMAZING!!! In a short video, they captured every special moment ! I was so impressed that I literally watched it 30 times when I first got it. My husband said I was OBSESSED. How can you not when they did such a wonderful and perfect job! Thanks Andy and Jason!!! After a year, I'm still enjoying my video with my family!

We haven't see our video yet but I'm positive it will be nothing short of amazing. Leo and his team were awesome! We hired Leo expecting 2 camera men, he showed up on our wedding day with an extra guy and we felt like celebrities with these guys following us around all day. They worked so hard and seemed to be everywhere there was action taking place. Yet they stayed out of the way and unobtrusive. They worked really well with my family/friends and other vendors as well. Got my video's in last week and was completely blown away. These guys are amazing! Look at their website videos, that is exactly what you'll get.
From the beginning they wanted to make the video a unique experience for us. After a few e-mails back and forth I didn't have to worry about anything else. They showed up to the wedding sight early to get a few shots of the area and of us before the event started. They were helpful throughout the whole process and even worked together with our photographer to get some great shots. Then they blended into the background. The result was some amazing footage and a great trailer! Now everyone wants to use them.
My only complaint is that... everyone wants to use them. They were swamped this summer and were late on getting me the trailer. They were apologetic and offered an updated package.
