Upon looking for a bakery to do our cake for our wedding, we came across awesome sweets n instantly fell in love with the openness n professionalism. They not only have the most greatest way of doing a cake tasting so there's no pressure but the staff is friendly n so welcoming. They are open n flexible n are willing to accommodate all allergies. We will definitely go to them again for an event. ☺️

Met the owner at a Bridal Show twice, fell in love! we did cupcakes, and a 6" cake for us to cut. SHE DID NOT LET US DOWN! All the cupcakes went SUPER fast, and our cake was so good!! The ordering process was super easy with her, and she made everything stress free. The price was great too! We look forward to ordering our future cakes and our anniversary cakes

Awesome Sweets
Susan was very easy to work with her cakes were delicious. I had one on every table at my wedding as my centerpiece and she made every cake a different flavor with different fillings. Let me tell you this was such a big hit. People are still talking about it I highly recommend awesome sweets. And her prices were very reasonable. If there was anything I needed to talk to her about or change in my order she was right there to help.

I would give a million stars if I could. Our wedding cake came out perfectly. We got ourselves a little 6” heart shaped wedding cake, and it was truly perfect. It was both delicious AND beautiful, and the entire experience made me feel like I made a friend. Thank you a million times over and over!

Delicious, Accommodating, and Professional – Perfect Wedding Cakes & Cupcakes!
We could not have been happier with our experience working with this bakery for our wedding cake and cupcakes! From the very beginning, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and so helpful in guiding us through the process of choosing flavors and styles. They even sent us home with a full tasting kit so we could enjoy all of the flavors at our own pace—such a thoughtful touch that made the decision fun and stress-free.
One of the most impressive things was how well they accommodated our dairy-free requests. You would never know the difference—the cakes were moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Our guests had no idea some of the cupcakes were dairy-free, and everyone was raving about how amazing they tasted throughout the night.
On top of their baking talent, the entire team was warm, accommodating, and truly made us feel cared for during the planning process. The end result was not only gorgeous, but every bite was perfection. We are so grateful to have chosen them to be part of our special day!

Beautiful and customizable
We used awesome sweets for our wedding day desserts. We went in knowing we didn’t want to do something traditionally and sue helped guide us to figure out what direction we wanted to go in. We decided to go with a personal cake (which she designed exactly the way we wanted it to look) and said yes to every request we made regarding mini desserts such as whoopie pies, cookies and cupcakes. It was awesome and people loved it!

Awesome Sweets did an Awesome Job!
Sue and her team at Awesome Sweets did an incredible job on our wedding cake! We had gotten a fun birthday cake from them in the past so already had a good opinion going in, but we were completely blown away! We had a very ambitious design in mind; a three tiered cake decorated with sculpted buttercream icing, fondant drapery, two different fillings, a fresh fruit and edible flower decor, all big enough to feed a hundred or so people. We also wanted a matching gluten-, egg-, and dairy-free cupcake bouquet for the folks in our wedding with allergies. Sue was incredible every step of the way. She walked us through each decision we needed to make on the taste and presentation, from the flavor of frosting and filling, to the tier size, offset, and position of the decor to best present the fondant folds.
The only item we were asked to provide was the flowers, and there are many sites that will ship to any address in the US so it was easy for us to accomplish. We got edible roses, carnations, and herb blossoms (and took the opportunity to stock up for our bartenders signature drinks as well).
The cake was delivered on time and looked absolutely stunning. The cupcakes were included as well, and made to specification with no allergens. We got so many compliments on how beautiful it all looked, and as many on how great it tasted! Everything was delicious, including the allergen-free cupcakes. Our only regret is it was all eaten, so we’ll just have to go back and get another (Non-wedding!) cake soon. Five stars all the way!

An absolute dream!
As someone with a severe tree nut allergy, and an insatiable sweet tooth, finding a nut-free bakery for our wedding was one of our top priorities as we began the wedding planning process. We were over the moon when we found Awesome Sweets in Pawtucket and from the first correspondence with Sue and her team, they were nothing but excited for us! They walked us through each step of the design process and offered so many different flavors to choose from. Sue really brought my wedding cake vision to life and took care to make sure that everything was perfect, even on the day of the wedding. The cake topper and flower placement were absolute perfection, and her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. As for the flavor, I simply could not get enough of lemon and raspberry. It got the point where I was actually stealing it off my husband's fork! The best part was that I could enjoy our cake without having to be afraid of having dessert. For people with this allergy, this is a constant worry. I am so grateful for Awesome Sweets for making my sweet-toothed dream come to life and it will be my go-to the next time I am craving something sweet!

Best nut free & GF Cake Ever!
I had my wedding on 8/10/24 and cannot say enough about how amazing the cake and service was. Sue was on point with making sure I was happy and not stressed with making sure my cake was everything I wanted. She even was able to last minute change one of the cakes to GF for me! Great experience and delicious cake!
Sue was fantastic to work with! She was so easy to work with, creating whatever look I wanted. Having awesome sweets include in the package deal for the pawtucket country club venue was a great idea. Not only was Sue and her staff friendly and very sweet but they were extremely helpful when it came to planning out our cake layout and design. Sue was an amazing person to speak with and definitely helped lower the stress levels while planning. I knew immediately when doing our cake tasting that everything would take good but they went above and beyond for our wedding. Me and my husband were extremely happy with the out come of our cake and cupcakes for the wedding and because we had a shades of brown theme they matched that theme perfectly. I recommend 100% for wedding or other events.

The Best Bakery There Is
This is my favorite bakery ever! All of their desserts are delicious. They have a variety of different cake combinations, pies, cheesecakes, etc. Aldrich Mansion has a “dessert room” that was filled with 17+ cakes. I can't tell you how impressive the desserts were, both in taste and presentation! All my guests RAVED about the desserts and quite a few people said it was the best cake they’d ever had. What makes this bakery even more amazing is that they are completely peanut and tree nut free. Guests with allergies are able to enjoy without worry. I recommend them time and time again! Sue is a pleasure to work with!

So tasty and very classic looking
Our cake was sooo delicious!! We had golden cake with raspberry filling and ivory vanilla buttercream frosting. So happy that I met these amazing ladies at the RI Bridal Show. The samples at the bridal show were delicious and moist (I detest that word but I mean really you do want a moist cake!) and that was what I found at the tasting as well as the final product. The tasting was unique with six different cupcake flavors, six different fillings and six different frostings. I made a blind taste test sheet and bride, groom, and family all voted. We had a tie for the golden cake and the red velvet for taste and ended up going with the traditional look of golden cake. We ordered a large three tier cake and a sheet cake which was more than enough to serve our 120 guests. Highly recommend and I will be stopping in soon for a cupcake!

The best decision we made!
Cake was a very important part of the wedding for us. I knew what direction I wanted to go in and spent a fair amount of time reading reviews, sending emails, and making calls about cake (which truly wasn’t a bad thing). What I wanted in a cake was simple: buttercream frosting (no fondant), monochromatic coloring, simple cake flavors, and most of all--I wanted the cake presented at the wedding to be our entire cake (no sheet cake in the back). Many vendors I spoke to shut me down saying a cake for 200 people can’t be done and many tried to convince me that not having fondant was a bad idea. Our second cake testing was with Sue at Awesome Sweets and we were encouraged as my (now) husband has a nut allergy and it would be such a relief to know the cake was safe. From the moment we met Sue, she was a true delight--so responsive, so flexible, and all with a smile on her face. I fell in love with her buttercream at first bite and knew it would be impossible to beat. When we asked the question about having our entire cake being presented (i.e. no sheet cake in the back) she, with total confidence, said “Of course we can! We just use a bigger cake pan!” Thus, our six tier cake was born. We left feeling encouraged, sat through another cake testing we had pre paid for with zero intention of hiring them, and called Sue after that appointment to fully book her.
Sue was so accommodating of my minor detail changes I wanted about the cake and the sizing (which ultimately went down to 5 tiers due to people who attended). She nailed the design I wanted on our cake and let me tell you--best bite of my day! She also was able to provide us half a dozen gluten free cupcakes that matched our wedding cake so all our guests could enjoy dessert. Sue is professional, passionate, and dedicated to each cake she and her team produce--not to mention she is incredibly well priced. I’ve done the research--call Sue, you won’t regret it!

Sue and her team at Awesome Sweets have done an amazing job since taking over the company! She baked for our wedding, pre-wedding, and will be doing the "big" wedding next year too! We absolutely love her cakes and highly recommend using her for any celebration you need dessert for. AwSome Sweets was recommended to us by a co-worker of my moms who gave rave reviews. We also saw their business card at the bridal salon. As I live out of state my mom and maid of honor did the tasting and booked the same day, the cake was that excellent. For our wedding my husband and I choose to serve cupcakes and have a small personal cake for us. We served chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet cupcakes. All three were absolutely delicious, people were more than happy to take the extras home at the end of the night. Our personal cake was marble with an Oreo filling and my husband and I were more than happy to continue eating that for the next week. And for your peace of mind, AwSome Sweets is a nut free bakery!

Exactly what I was looking for!
Melissa was great to work with. I went in there with the dream of a beauty and the beast cake that I was previously quoted $1200 for and she made it happen for $550! Awsome sweets was definitely the right pick for our wedding cake. They went above and beyond in helping us figure out the design we really wanted. When our cake arrived, it looked even better than we imagined, and tasted amazing! I wish we could give more than 5 stars!

My original plan had been to get the cake from the venue, but I was underwhelmed by their options, their enthusiasm, and the price tag. Awsome Sweets was recommended to me and did not disappoint! Amazing in person consultation and testing! It was the first time I thought a vendor really listened to us about what was important to us for the day. The cake was really yummy too!

She totally nailed my cake!
It was nothing nothing but pleasure working with Awesome Sweets on my wedding cake. After the tasting, we ended up choosing white cake with raspberry filling on one layer and lemon filling on the other. I showed her a picture of the cake I liked. She said "not a problem". On the day of my wedding, when i first saw my cake I almost cried. It was almost identical to my picture, maybe even better! All the guests asked where it came from because it was so delicious. I HIGHLY recommend ordering a cake from Awesome Sweets!

Beautiful cake and exceptional service!!
When we finally found Awsome Sweets, nothing compared. Our cake tasted exactly as we expected, super moist and melt in your mouth tasty. We actually had a hard time choosing because everything was soo delicious, but ultimately we chose a white cake with buttercream frosting/ filling. Our wedding cake was stunning we got so many compliments. It was simple but still included every element we wanted which was gold ribbon, texture and real roses from my florist. The day before we dropped off our cake topper it snapped and Melissa was like I’ll make it work. I completely trust this company, especially since they are peanut free. Working with this bakery was super easy and professional. I’ll use them in the future for sure!

Melissa was great! Our cake and cupcake display was amazing! We rented crates from her and the display came out exactly how I imagined. Everyone kept telling us how delicious the cupcakes were (they were to DIE for). Her prices are very reasonable. She is willing to work with you and your budget. Awsome Sweets did an amazing job with our wedding cake my wife and I were in love with it!!!!! After, spending numerous hours of cake searching and phone calls to find our cake this place was the best hands down!! Melissa, is real easy to work with and does an amazing job with the end result! It was impossible to find a place in RI that would do a fountain cake and even in the Mass area too!! We went to Bean Counter Bakery in Mass at first and they had a broken fountain they wanted to use on our cake and was going to test it on our wedding day which is highly unprofessional. That is why when we found Melissa we were so happy someone understood our cake cake design and was willing to go the extra mile to give us the best cake experience for our special day! We were so happy with the turn out and would highly recommend Awsome Sweets to anyone who needs a cake regardless of the occasion. She even was able to complete the design we wanted exactly how we wanted it. We are so impressed.

I would like to start by saying Melissa is absolutely wonderful if you haven't met her you should. With all the things leading up to a wedding that can be hectic it is nice to find something or someone that just makes things so easy. We were three days before our wedding and scrambling to find a cake I contacted Melissa and it was the best decision we could have made in this whole ordeal. After meeting with her discussing what we wanted and tasting her food we were so pleased. Melissa was amazing in every way! She was very professional and made sure that we were happy throughout the whole process. The final product and the display she put together was perfect. Awsome Sweets created a dreamy wedding cake for our wedding on Sept 2nd, 2017. Not only was the cake designed beautifully, it tasted amazing. The carrot cake with the cream cheese frosting was out of this world! The owner is very knowledgeable and skilled at her craft. I would recommend this bakery for weddings and other special events. Thank you for making our special day a success! We look forward to our anniversary cake!

Melissa was so wonderful to work with! She answered my many questions without batting an eye and was so kind and friendly along the way. The cake tasting went above and beyond our expectations and weeks after the wedding we're still getting compliments on our cake! Melissa was also the best priced of everyone we checked out. Melissa was very helpful and knew what she was doing! Our 100 cupcakes made to look like hydrangea flowers were so cute. She also suggested a small cake for us to use for the cutting ceremony which also came out great. Affordable for a great quality bakery!
