  Best wedding photographer ever

  I will truly never stop talking about the Averyhouse. I knew from my first conversation with Stevi that they were the perfect fit for us. When my mom fell ill, I needed to put together a wedding in under a month. I never thought I would find someone, let alone be able to book the Averyhouse. When looking for wedding photographers in Chicago they came highly recommended and after looking at their portfolio they were a clear first choice. I was shocked that they had availability on such short notice for a busy weekend. It sounds cheesy but I feel like it was FATE. So flexible, easy to communicate with and quick to respond.
  Matt was with us on our wedding day, and he blew us away. We left our wedding saying, "wow we should throw another one so Matt can photograph us again." SO professional, such a calming and cool presence. The pictures are absolutely BREATHTAKING. PERFECT. PERFECT. PERFECT. They got the photos back to us so quickly. Overall, just absolutely impressed with the Averyhouse. If you need a Chicago wedding photographer there is no one better.

  Best Chicago Wedding Photographer

  We cannot recommend Averyhouse enough. We were looking for a wedding photographer that had a more natural, bright & airy style to capture authentic moments from our big day. It was also important to us to find someone who made us feel comfortable. Matt and Stevi fit the bill perfectly. They worked with us to create a plan for our day, and multiple backup plans so we knew we were ready for every scenario (which proved to be helped when Matt scouted our photo location and realized it would be closed on our wedding day, it was a non-issue because we felt great about plan b). We are obsessed with how the photos turned out—they are beautiful and perfectly represent our day. We also genuinely enjoyed spending our wedding day with Matt. He was fun, easygoing, and a total professional. He got every shot we wanted and the day went smoothly because of him. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to work with Averyhouse and would recommend them to any couple.

  Stunning Natural Wedding Photography

  Stevi and Matt at Averyhouse were incredible. They seamlessly captured our BIG day and the photos are so very natural and stunning. I can't say enough about them both, they were so fun to be around and truly captured every organic moment throughout our day!

  Absolutely Incredible Photos

  If you're looking for a wedding photographer Matt and Stevi are it. They are without a doubt AMAZING. I haven't stopped looking through my photos! They got every detail, every candid moment, its like we are there again that day when I look through them. It poured on our wedding day all day and they handled the photos SO WELL. We were not even worried. They are also some of the nicest people ever. Our best decision for photos was choosing them. Incredible!!!!

  Gorgeous photography

  We just got our wedding photos back from Averyhouse and they are truly incredible. Matt and Stevi were professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the process. Photography was very important to us and Averyhouse was one of the first vendors we secured in the wedding planning process. They did not disappoint. Our wedding photos are so stunning and we received them back very timely. They really capture the spirit of the day and have allowed us to relive each special moment. We highly recommend Averyhouse to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

  Amazing family photography team!

  Stevi and Matt at AveryHouse were incredible to work with during our entire engagement and wedding process. Stevi and Matt went above and beyond at each step of the way. They scoped out the different venues to capture the best spots to take photos. They were able to capture the perfect moment and left us in awe with each photo they provided us. Beyond just taking photos, they were able to make us feel comfortable. Staged photos are surprisingly awkward to take and you can feel rigid when starting out. Stevi and Matt were able to talk to us, give us advice, and just made the moment more relaxed.
  They did an amazing job figuring out the desired photos we wanted, but also were able to live in the moment. Some of our favorite photos were the unplanned ones where Matt and Stevi let us be us. They were extraordinary during the entire wedding process. They were informative and detailed out the day to us, taking away any stressors that we had regarding photos.

  Could not be happier!

  Averyhouse provided us the most amazing experience from beginning to end! Photography was our first vendor choice, and the most important to me. We immediately felt comfortable with Matt and Stevi and knew we did not need to look any further. They were so kind and helpful through the 15 month planning process. We planned our wedding long distance, but they were always available for a phone call to talk through advice, location, and small details whenever needed. On our wedding day they were so prepared, with a schedule, mapped out path for photos, and notes to make sure everything we wanted was captured. They made it so easy! We just went about our wedding day and they captured it so perfectly. Everything felt natural!
  It unexpectedly snowed, rained, and sleeted on our October wedding. Our bridal party was cold and doing their best to stay positive throughout photos. Matt and Stevi improvised and kept up the energy for us and the photos came out so vibrant and beautiful! You would never know the what the weather was like by looking at them.
  After the wedding we received all the photos in great time! The online album is so easy to use, share with family and friends, and download photos from. We have also worked with them to create an album and it has been such an easy process!
  Averyhouse is the perfect choice to make if you are looking for natural, beautiful, and easy photos to capture your day! We are so thankful for the photos they have provided for us to cherish forever.

  I am so happy to be writing a review for Averyhouse!! They were such a dream to work with throughout my wedding planning, day of, and even afterwards. At the end of the day, all I really cared about was getting amazing wedding photos (which I did!!), but to work with such pleasant people throughout the process was really appreciated, as well.
  
  Vanessa was my main photographer and she went above and beyond!! I kid you not, she was practically doing yoga just to get the best shots for us- not to mention she was like 7 months pregnant; that is serious commitment!!! The whole team got our vibe/personalities and made our day so fun. The photos ended up being so much better than I could've ever imagined. They are magazine worthy, and captured the exact vision I'd had for the year and a half I was planning. On top of the frame worthy pics, the candid photos are competitors for my favorite ones of the group. From ridiculous ones on our limo bus, to my bridesmaids cheers-ing their drinks with my mom; they covered the full gamete of the night. Vanessa and her team were able to keep the attention of my rowdy bridal party and stayed calm, cool and collected the whole day. Truly a feat!
  
  We used Averyhouse for films, as well! We were so happy with how the highlight reel turned out, and it looks extremely professional/well done. They worked with us to create our own package, so that we could also get our ceremony video in addition to the highlight reel. This was a perfect combination for us so that we could get the audio/visual that we prioritized, without a full day of films coverage. We definitely appreciated the customization piece that was given to create a package that made the most sense.
  
  But do you want to know the best part of all of it? We had all of our photos within the same month of our wedding!!! I'm sure that's not the norm, but it was so fun to get all the photos back right after we returned from our honeymoon. I HIGHLY recommend Averyhouse!!!

Thankfully, Averyhouse brought on longtime affiliate, Jaclyn Simpson, as lead photographer for the event. Jaclyn and Stevi worked tirelessly for 9 hours on the day of the wedding, coordinating with our day-of planner and each other to ensure that all of the shots we had requested were accounted for, and capturing countless moments we could never have planned. A mere three weeks after the wedding, we received the full online gallery of thoughtfully curated, gorgeously edited photos. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the images and are excitedly awaiting the delivery of our event album! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Averyhouse, along with photographers Jaclyn Simpson, and Vanessa Wheeler, to others, and hope to have the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

  Averyhouse (Matt & Vanessa) shot both our engagement photos and wedding. While we haven't seen the final prints yet, I have nothing but great things to say about the experience. Anyone planning a wedding knows that finding great vendors to work with can be the hardest part of planning ... and Averyhouse made everything so easy for us. Aside from being extremely professional and easy to work with, Matt is an incredibly talented photographer and we are so grateful that he and Vanessa were there to capture our 'big day.' Even my bridesmaids and family commented on how much they enjoyed 'working' with them.   Husband and Wife team, Matt and Stevi, were wonderful and so talented. They are fun, creative, and artistic. Their photography is some of the best I've seen. They were easy to work with and had great ideas to capture those great photography shots for the engagement session and wedding day.

  Matt and Stevi are such sweet, unobtrusive people and I can't imagine having had anyone else photograph our wedding. Matt has an amazing eye and it's great to work with someone who obviously loves what they do. The pictures are beautiful...they made our wedding look like a fairytale. Of course, the wedding seems like a fairytale in my mind, but it's nice to have photographic evidence that backs up my memories!
