Professional, Responsive, and Excellent Performance
Angela was very professional and responsive since the moment we inquired about Avalon's music services. We were able to get the playlist that we dreamed of, including our special requests (which involved a quartet and trumpet rendition of Rocky's "Gonna Fly Now" for our bridal march. The musicians Angela sourced were incredibly talented and left all our guests impressed; they were prompt and sounded incredible! We would definitely recommend Avalon Music for any of our friends and family looking to enhance their ceremony with live music! -

Beautiful and breathe taking
I had many compliments on Shen the Harpist and I remember hearing her during the cross ceremony. I looked back and was so pleased with how beautiful it sounded. -

Perfect professional and response

Magical music
We can't say enough good things about The Avalon Music! We always dreamed of a having a quartet at our wedding and it really was such a beautiful experience. It made the ceremony magical, and the musicians were so talented and accomodating *it was summer in Houston and they were super professional, and nice people. Angela is such a wonderful person, setup was so easy, timely and we really felt the love. We truly recommed them if you want to have an unforgettable wedding.

Karen Wilkinson with Avalon Music exceeded our expectations and elevated the environment at our wedding.
Avalon Music was able to grant our wishes for a violinist, Karen Wilkinson, at our wedding ceremony. Karen allowed a private hearing for our music selection before the wedding day which allowed us to get to know her on a personal level. It was such a delight to have Karen apart of our special day and elevate the atmosphere with her lovely music. Truly happy we were able to enjoy Karen’s talent during our celebration. -

I wanted a harp and Violin duo for my wedding ceremony and Avalon Music provided me the best musicians. The harpist and violinist were so talented and performed all the songs I requested. It was such a beautiful performance and the music really made my wedding ceremony complete and elegant.

Angela was prompt, helpful, and very accommodating. She made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I had a custom selection my groom had arranged, and when I provided the sheet music she said it would be no problem. She was right; her musicians played it beautifully! Absolutely perfect. Angela was the best! She was very professional, responsive, caring, and just an overall wonderful person to work with. Hearing and listening to the beautiful music my String Trio played (violin, cello, flute) while walking down the aisle brought tears to my eyes. It could not have been more perfect. We contacted Avalon Music Agency for a string trio, and the sound was lovely. Avalon was prompt when we reached out for quotes which was a HUGE help for us when we had very little time to book someone. Not only was the music great, but the owner worked with us to meet our budget needs, making sure we still had the quality of sound we wanted. Highly Recommend for Ceremony and Cocktail hour! we have received many compliments on the lovely music from our guests. -

The best advise is to ask for a calatog of music selections well in advance so that you can pick your preferred selections for that Avalon music. We used the string duo for our wedding and my wife walked down the aisle while this was playing. It was magical. Thanks Avalon music! -

Angela is one of the nicest people that we dealt with during the whole wedding planning process. She was extremely helpful in suggesting musical selections and the musicians themselves were prompt and played beautifully the night of the wedding. Angela didn't try to oversell us on the type of musical group we requested and even ordered sheet music that she didn't have for a song that we wanted. The violin, cello and flute trio then played that song without flaw. I would most definitely work with Angela at Avalon in the future if the need arose. -

Angela was INCREDIBLE at organizing the quartet and soloist for our wedding. She was a TRUE LIFESAVER We had to cancel our previous quartet two days before the wedding because of their unreliability and lack of professionalism. We googled and called Angela on Thursday afternoon. By Friday, she was able to put together a quartet and two vocalists for our wedding for that Saturday!!! How AMAZING was that?! We were truly BLESSED but we really owe it to Angela for pulling the strings for us! She was FRIENDLY, COMPASSIONATE, RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL and RELIABLE. She knew how stressful planning a wedding was and helped us during one of our most stressful moments.
The quartet came early and rehearsed and did an amazing job during the wedding. The two vocalists sang two songs for us that were both very difficult. One was "You Raised Me Up" by Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman and the other was "The Prayer" by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli (the male vocalist sang in Italian!!!). They were both very very good. We couldn't have asked for a better band for our first dance and wedding. THEY WERE AMAZING!
Pricing for the quartet and vocalists were not bad at all. Even for a last minute request, Angela's pricing was still very competitive to the other vendors.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Avalon Music. You won't regret it! -

Harpist was fantastic; perfect for anniversary celebration! People asked us to announce her so they could give her a round of applause. She was flexible with timing, which turned out to be important because of the program. We are so happy we chose Avalon Music over other vendors for our wedding! Angela with Avalon was such a pleasure to work with. She has such a happy and kind personality, and it was so easy to tell that she was genuinely happy for my fiancé and me while we were planning our wedding.
The pricing at Avalon Music is more than fair. A competitor's pricing was nearly double for a String Quartet and Trumpeter for a Catholic wedding ceremony (about 1.5-2 hours for prelude and ceremony music).
The talent is also incredible. The string quartet played beautifully for the seating of the mothers and for the wedding party's procession. I booked Avalon as a surprise to my mother and my husband's mother, because they both love beautiful and classical music. Their reaction was priceless :). I became very emotional when I finally heard the trumpet signaling that I was about to walk down the aisle to the man I had already loved for nearly a decade. I am so happy we had a videographer film our ceremony, so I can hear all of the beautiful music whenever I want to!
I had difficulty communicating with the person in charge of music at the Church, so I was a little apprehensive about how Avalon would be able to work with the Church. The Church had its own cantor and rules for liturgical music, and I didn't know how both teams could blend during the ceremony. The professionalism of Avalon really came through with this, since there were no hiccups during the ceremony, and both teams worked together so well.
I highly recommend Avalon for any of your needs. Even if you're not considering a chamber ensemble, and you are considering some of their other groups, you need to contact Avalon. You will be treated as a priority, and any and all questions will be answered promptly. -

Avalon provided a string trio for my daughter's wedding. It was an outdoor venue and the music was superb. Everyone talked about how beautiful music was for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend them to add an extra level of perfection to your special day. -

I received an extremely quick response via the Internet. I was given an array of music choices. The samples of music were varied. And the quality made my decision easy. We later decided to add a drummer to the band...per the recommendation of the agent. that put the icing on the cake !! Our party was over the top perfect because of the music. The consultation with our agent led us to the proper choice. Being in a different state for me was worrisome ,but knowing in advance every song I choose and even one the band learned special for my event eased my worry. Our agent even to into consideration that we were in the process of having another grandchild imminently ,her compassion exceeded her role as an agent. Amazingly painless experience. 5 STARS !!! This was the easiest decision and transaction of the whole wedding. We called Angela and asked for a string trio. We had two weeks before the wedding date. . She was most accommodating and took care of all the details within one day. Very efficient and friendly. I would recommend Avalon Music to anyone who wants a class act. Being the bride, I didn't get to hear any of the music other than what was played for the processional and recessional. I REALLY wish I could've gotten to hear the Prelude! But I heard they played beautifully! From what I got to listen to, it was absolutely perfect. I didn't think I would cry walking down the aisle, but I couldn't help it with the magical harp and violin duo playing as I stared at my husband. We hired a three piece jazz ensemble (piano, sax, bass) for the cocktail hour and boy was it worth it! They had a list of music that was contemporary and really set a magical fun vibe for our reception. Working with Angela to coordinate was so easy and payment made simple. The list of music was fun to choose from. I wish I could have participated in the cocktail hour more just to listen to the classics they were able to play out for our guests. It was all orchestrated as a surprise for my parents and it was an absolute hit!!! I would use their services again in a heartbeat as Angela really tried to focus on our exact need and matched us perfectly with the musicians we wanted. -

My son and his wife were married in Houston. They asked me to help find a string quartet for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour and DJ for the indoor reception. As none of us lived in Texas, we didn't know where to begin. I was fortunate to find Angela from Avalon Music. She is knowledgeable, professional, and responsive along with being friendly and a pleasure to work with. The musicians in the string quartet were excellent and the sound projected beautifully outside. The DJ she provided was Bryan from Rock N Robin. He was professional, classy, timely and easy to hear from everywhere in the room. The music volume was perfect. We used Avalon music as musicians for our daughter's wedding in April. We had two violins, a viola, and a cello. The wedding was at a museum in the Houston museum district, for about 150 guests.
They played for about 30 minutes before the wedding, and then played the traditional wedding processionals and recessional. The music was absolutely beautiful, and many of our guests raved. The strings make the wedding music absolutely sublime. Although an organ is beautiful too, we are so happy we decided to do the strings instead of an organ. Our daughter was thrilled.
Avalon Music was professional, and promptly answered every question, and was ready with suggestions. They arrived absolutely promptly, and were superb in every way. I highly recommend them when you want a beautiful, classic and classy sound.

With her knowledge and her professionalism she was able to provide an excellent string quartet and DJ. The string quartet played outdoors for the wedding and cocktail hour and sounded absolutely beautiful. The DJ was an excellent MC and did an awesome job.

I had a String Trio play at my wedding in June of this year. Angela with Avalon music was so professional, and truly seemed to want to make all of the details perfect for my wedding, including even the details of the song choices. Angela at Avalon Music booked our ceremony music with a string trio from Avalon and our reception band, The Slags. She even played in our trio at our wedding.
We had an AMAZING experience with Avalon Music and had so many compliments for our ceremony and reception. They were completely professional and did a wonderful job. The trio sounded beautifully in our church. The Slags were so fun and Angela found a band for us according to our needs for a fun, energetic, and current (but played oldies too) band.
I would recommend Avalon to ANY of my friends.

We selected a harp trio for the ceremony and reception and they did an amazing job. It really set the mood and was very well done. Everyone really loved it and I was so impressed with their skill and execution. They are very talented and we would highly recommend Avalon Music. -
