Exceptionally Well Done Celebration of Life

Our event was a Celebration of Life for a very well loved friend. Mike handled the sound and all the AV, which included playing two videos for the assembled group. From the initial contact through the end of the event, Mike was on top of everything we asked, and exceeded our expectations. Through the planning process it was obvious he has done events like ours many, many times, and his creative suggestions and overall professional delivery on the day of the event surpassed my expectations. Though it wasn't a wedding, I could easily see how Mike would handle a wedding... actually any gathering at all... quite adeptly. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being "strongly recommend" I would easily call it a "10" performance, partly because it all went to plan, partly because Mike's presence made a difference, and mostly because our guests were able to celebrate the memory of the person we lost together - an experience we'll never forget.

Amazing DJ at the Branford House! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My wife and I are so happy we hired Mike for our wedding at the Branford House! He brought the perfect mix of professionalism and fun - an absolute pleasure to work with across both wedding planning and the wedding day itself.

We spoke to other DJs early on while planning our wedding and found they tried often to sell us on their off-the-shelf services without really bothering to first understand who we were and what we wanted. Mike is just the opposite. He started by making a personal connection, and then helped us plan our wedding day from there.

From the ceremony to the speeches, dinner music to dance music, Mike ran everything flawlessly. As an emcee, he had just the right touch to give our guests direction and make things fun without being overbearing or corny (like some DJs we’ve seen at other weddings).

Mike listened to exactly what we wanted, making sure to hit all our "must-plays,” completely respecting our "do-not-play" list. On the day, he read the room perfectly. The audio cues, music, and even the lighting were perfect. He knew exactly how to keep the energy high once the reception started, responding to what people were dancing with, taking new requests, and mixing seamlessly from song to song like a true DJ. Our dance floor was absolutely packed all night long, and the lighting effects added that extra-oomph to make for party atmosphere that wowed our guests.

We also decided to book the additional uplighting and photo booth packages Mike offers, which we definitely would recommend if they fit your venue - for the Branford House, they were perfect to make the space even more special.

If you to work with a stress-free experience and an epic dance floor, definitely book Mike!

Amazing!!!

Mike was amazing to work with. He made our wedding day memorable. Mike had excellent recommendations. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the process. Mike was very approachable and the utmost professional. He did an excellent job as the emcee. He came up with the great idea to call family members up for special dances while we were greeting tables. Mike made sure to give us options so we could make decisions throughout the process. Mike did an amazing job with the music; we were on the dance floor all night! The uplighting really added a special element to our reception at The Society Room of Hartford. The dance party lights were so much fun!

Truly a 10/10 experience

We cannot say enough amazing things about Mike and Audio Media Solutions! From our very first conversation, Mike was incredibly thoughtful, organized, and detail-oriented. He walked us through every part of the experience, from ceremony music to reception flow to the lighting design, and made us feel completely confident every step of the way.

The light show was hands-down one of our favorite parts of the night and truly elevated the entire atmosphere. Mike kept the energy exactly where it needed to be all evening long, and everything flowed perfectly.

We also booked the photobooth through his company, which was run by his son, and it was a huge hit with our guests! Everyone loved being able to take home a fun keepsake, and we absolutely loved getting access to all of the photos afterward. It’s such a special memory to have. Truly a 10/10 experience, we would recommend Mike to anyone!

Science Center Wedding

Mike and his team we absolutely perfect as our sound and lighting engineers! He’s genuinely a cool, down-to-earth person and very easy to work with. From the start, he was responsive and helpful in guiding us through what we actually needed to prepare, which made the planning process feel manageable. He helped to ease our stress by sharing his multiple backup to the backup options. He makes sure he is prepared to ensure that nothing could come between us and a solid musical experience.

He gave thoughtful insight into timing and flow that really helped keep the energy up throughout the night, we had received a variety of musical requests in our wedding replies (as asked) and he was able to blend them all seamlessly into the evening so everyone could contribute to the magic of the night. He handled both the ceremony and reception seamlessly, and the lighting setup was a really nice touch.

His pricing was clear, communication was consistent, and he was accommodating whenever we had questions or needed clarification on next steps. Overall, he was professional, fun, and reliable. We’d definitely recommend him.

Mike is awesome! Kept the party going to the very end!

Mike did an amazing job on our wedding day. Mike was professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the night. Mike did a great job mixing the playlist and keeping the party going. Once the dance floor opened up, it went on for the entire night! There wasn’t a dull moment!

My wife and I had a specific budget allocated for a DJ who could also provide lighting. DJ Mike came through big time! A true professional in every way, he also provided music and lighting suggestions when asked. He is flexible on pricing but more importantly Mike is an absolute pleasure to deal with in every way! He created exactly the mood and vibe we had hoped for. The DJ you pick plays an integral role in your wedding/reception. Not a place you want to “go cheap.”.

An amazing party!

Mike was amazing! Our priority for our wedding was the party, and Mike Delivered. He picked up on the music style we wanted on our first phone call. In the last few weeks we add a few of changes to the reception and speeches (even one day of) and Mike was able to roll with it seamlessly.

Best investment we made

We met Mike at the Bridal Expo in Hartford, and let me tell you he was everything we were looking for in a DJ and then some. His prices are incredible for the service he provides. You don’t just get a DJ with Mike, you also get a lighting and sound professional. Our venue was the Society Room, and it has some very tall ceilings which can make sound projection a little wonky for those DJ’s who just ‘play good music’, or aren’t used to the space. Let me tell you that my ENTIRE wedding was electric and dancing the entire night, and the light show he put on was insane. Even the people who don’t really dance were up and out of their seats the entire night- and you could not rip us from the dance floor. Purchasing the Gold Package was one of the best investments we made- do not skimp out on that lighting!

Mike is incredibly professional, and very responsive. If we set up a time for a call at 2:00, he called right on the minute. Not just that, but he initiated every contact to talk about the timeline, music, and lighting. He knows every aspect of the business and we felt like we were in good hands the entire process. There is zero chasing after your DJ with Mike. He completely adhered to the timeline he gave us, confirmed it with us days prior AND the day of to ensure he was aware of any changes.

A must have vendor

Audio Media Solutions / Mike was absolutely amazing to work with. We used him for the bistro lighting at our venue and it absolutely made our entire night. The lights were so magical our guest could not stop raving about them. I truly cannot picture our wedding day without these lights and we weren’t even planning to do half of them. To all the Wadsworth Brides, it is NO question, get the lights inside AND outside - you won’t be disappointed. Run don't walk!

Mike was absolutely outstanding. He was so helpful and thorough. I had a vision of how I wanted to walk down the aisle. I wanted everyone to walk down to the same song and then at the height of the song, that would be my grand entrance. I know this was a big request because is meant perfect timing for everyone, but Mike made it happen! The lighting and sound quality was also perfect and Mike made sure the dance floor was never empty!

Seasoned Professional

You can tell that Mike has been doing this for many many years, because he is able to roll with the punches so well and just knew the ins and outs of everything. I didn't know much about what we needed in terms of a sound setup, and I'm so glad he asked all the right questions like if we would be needing a microphone or additional amplification, or a satellite speaker which we did need at the last minute! He is a lighting maestro as our bistro lighting on the patio was absolutely the perfect setting to dance the night away. One highlight for me was that he was able to cut a song exactly how I wanted it for my first dance with my mom - there was a part of the song that just didn't resonate with me lyrics wise and he was able to cut it out flawlessly so that you would never know! Of course he got the dance floor going and kept us having fun all night, and was just a very nice guy to work with. Another funny moment is my husband's uncle wanted to rap a song live and Mike got him a karaoke version and gave him the mic, which was hilarious! Mike is great and I absolutely recommend hiring him for your wedding day!

So great! Would recommend and hire again!

We worked with both Mike and Jared from Audio Media Solutions for uplighting, and audio for our ceremony and reception. They were both fabulous. Mike was very kind and thorough, answered all of our questions and was incredibly accommodating. Jared was our DJ for the event, and he was also excellent! He helped us make some decisions about music for different parts of our day and his warm demeanor put as at ease. Our dancefloor was packed all night – he did a great job reading the room. Jared also was an excellent collaborator with our vendors. We had some unexpected last-minute changes with vendors, and Jared happily went with the flow.

The lighting was also perfect – struck a great balance of dark enough for people to feel comfortable on the dancefloor, and bright enough for our older guests to move around with ease.

We would 100% recommend them and work with them again!

Jared was phenomenal!

Jared found me immediately after setting up the lighting and his DJ equipment and introduced himself politely and told me right away that he would be there for me with whatever I needed! The lighting was stunning and he played everything we wanted to hear - I was BEAT from shredding the dance floor all night! Every que was on schedule and the ceremony went smoothly as well because of him. Mike and Jared from AMS came recommended from a friend and did not disappoint, also with a fair price. An amazing DJ and Lighting experience!

Our 10/12/24 wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion was the wedding of our absolute dreams, and Mike played an instrumental role in making the day so special. Solid DJ - very professional, affordable and nice to work with

Mike did a great job as our Wedding DJ for both our Ceremony and Reception! He was very pleasant to work with and flexible. A very professional, focused DJ who isn't "over the top" and wants to ensure the music hits the spot. Multiple guests at our Wedding afterwards were commenting about how much fun they had dancing and how good the music was. He also offers some nice lighting options that added a little more pizzazz on our dance floor and in the reception area. Great job to Mike, would definitely recommend.

AMS came highly recommended and absolutely lived up to the hype!

Mike’s many years of experience was evident in every aspect of his coordination and execution.

Backyard Wedding

I worked with both Mike and Melanie for my backyard wedding in 2024.

Mike was incredibly responsive with an even energy that I knew my husband and I were looking for in our wedding DJ. He paired me with Melanie, one of his incredible DJs for the event.

I met with Melanie a couple of weeks prior to the wedding. She took diligent notes on how the evening was going to go, who was giving speeches, and the kind of dance floor vibe I was looking for. I [think] I gave her pretty loose parameters within which to use her creating license and she NAILED IT. She played all the hits from my parents generation as well as my generation, the dance floor was going THE ENTIRE NIGHT, she pulled out the Cotton-Eyed-Joe and Cupid Shuffle for the ultimate millennial throwback, and overall, just sat back and let her playlist run the night. June Wedding

Our wedding was brought to life by the incredible music and lighting services we chose, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results. Opting for the full package truly elevated our celebration to another level.
The uplighting provided a warm and vibrant ambiance that set the perfect tone for the evening. The color transitions in the uplighting throughout the night, synchronized to the rhythm of the music, were a stunning visual and added a dynamic energy to the atmosphere.
The string lights created a magical effect, casting a soft, romantic glow over the terrace and logia. They added a whimsical charm making the space feel like a fairytale come to life.
The music kept our guests on their feet all night.
Moreover, the level of organization and attention to detail was excellent. The team confirmed every aspect of the setup well in advance, ensuring that everything went off without a hitch.

AMS is a must!

Mike was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the very first meeting through the week of the wedding Mike was very knowledgeable and understanding of what we were looking for at our wedding. He did such a wonderful job from the setup for the ceremony and reception to the lighting inside and out, everything was flawless. Mike had everyone dancing all night and everyone had such a great time. Thank you Mike for a truly memorable experience!

Melanie DeJesus of AMS was absolutely fantastic! We had to delay everything at our beach front wedding about 30 mins because of a “microburst” of severe Thunder, lightning and rain but she made it work. Everything went smoothly and she was totally adapting to the slight changes we had to make and it was seamless. At the end of our ceremony, the rain stopped and a double rainbow appeared over the water and she immediately played “somewhere over the rainbow” (by Israel K.) and it totally set a happy mood going into the cocktail hour. She had us dancing all night long until the very end, and she read the room perfectly. Playing classics and some newer upbeat music she knew the crowd would go wild for. She interacted with the crowd in such a fun, energetic way. Old and young were dancing the night away. My feet still hurt!

Beautiful bistro and tent lighting at wadsworth mansion

Mike did a beautiful job with the lighting at our wedding this past June at Wadsworth Mansion. He did the lighting for the loggia room where we had our bridal party head table and in the tent that we rented for the outdoor patio. The lighting gave our wedding that extra special, romantic touch. Mike was very professional to work with and very fair pricing. Highly recommend!

Mike Crushed It

The day was simply breathtaking, beyond anything we had ever envisioned. We were thrilled with how Audio Media Solutions smoothly integrated our favorite songs into the ceremony, creating the perfect atmosphere from start to finish. The team's attention to detail stood out, ensuring that every musical cue was on point, enhancing the emotional moments.

During the planning process, we appreciated the prompt responsiveness of the team whenever we had questions or needed clarification. They were professional and accommodating, making sure to tailor the playlist to our preferences, which made the entire experience personalized and memorable. However, it would have been even better if there had been a bit more variety in the music selections throughout the evening.

On the day of the wedding, Audio Media Solutions truly exceeded our expectations with their seamless setup and sound quality. The guests were raving about the fantastic music choices, and the dance floor was never empty, thanks to the energetic vibe created by the DJ. It was evident that the team was experienced and passionate about what they do, which translated into a fun and lively celebration.

Although there were a few minor technical glitches during transitions between songs, overall, the music played a significant role in making our special day truly unforgettable. best dj + lighting !!!!

Mike was amazing to work with! He is very knowledgeable about the industry. He guided us with music selection + timeline of events during our wedding. He coordinated the entire set up of our ceremony music / mic set up for our officiant. He let us have complete control of the music and even let us send him a playlist we put together that he could refer to during the wedding + keep along the vibes of the night. He is a no fuss / no frills kind of guy which is hard to come by with dj’s! He did an amazing job- we were dancing all night long. His light set up was nothing short of perfection, I will cherish the pictures of us dancing under his beautiful light set up!!!!! Set the entire mood of our wedding, we couldn’t imagine it any other way. Well worth the price for the service you receive! Would recommend Mike + his services to anyone!

Mike did a fantastic job at our 4.20.2024 wedding reception!! When our original DJ was unable to fulfill the job just days before our wedding, Mike stepped in and killed it! Not only did he play all the music we requested to hear, he read the crowd beautifully. We recieved nothing but compliments on our music! Mike was in constant contact with the bride and/or the groom to ensure that we were happy and knew what was happening! Our lighthearted backyard reception was perfect with you there!

Best DJ Ever

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike at AMS for my wedding, and to say it was an incredible experience is an understatement. He is an outstanding DJ/MC. To be fair, I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time. I’ve witnessed his work for over a decade (I used to work weddings as well where he frequently was the DJ/MC - also showing his incredible lighting and Photo Booth services). So when it was time to plan my own wedding, he was the first and ONLY DJ/MC that I wanted for my wedding. He’s professional, and just an overall funny and nice guy. His responsiveness is top-notch, addressing all my questions with ease. Working with him was a delight, and his passion for his craft shone through every interaction. The music he curated was simply amazing, keeping everyone on their feet throughout the entire night. There was a last minute miscommunication on my part, so I needed him to provide the microphone and music for the ceremony - and he jumped and handled it with so much ease. I will forever be indebted to him. Additionally, the photo booth services he provided were added an extra layer of fun and excitement, capturing unforgettable moments that will be cherished forever. The guests were obsessed with it. I HIGHLY recommend AMS to anyone in search of a memorable and flawless event/wedding experience.

We couldn’t have chosen better!

We worked with Audio Media Solutions and Jared for our wedding, and we cannot say enough good about AMS and Jared! AMS made planning our music selections easy – not too much drama, and detailed and specific. As for Jared - not only did he throw us an absolutely fantastic dance party (the dance floor never emptied even when we stepped away for photos and despite our introverted personalities), he created a beautiful ceremony with careful microphone planning, ran a smooth reception including multiple speeches with several people involved in each and multiple rooms, and set up some phenomenal lighting in the old, wood-paneled mansion we got married in. It was a magical touch to be sure. But – most amazing of all – Jared got a flat tire on the way to our wedding and he STILL made it in plenty of time. He was ready for the ceremony and reception without delay, and made sure to keep our wedding coordinator informed as he dealt with his car. Despite that, he arrived calm and cheerful and ready for the evening, and he set the tone for our night. We are so grateful to have worked with him and AMS, and would recommend them highly to anyone reading this!

5 Stars in every way!!!!!

I'm still trying to come up with the words to describe how wonderful it was to work with Mike at Audio Media Solutions. We used his service for lighting, production, and reception music at the Wadsworth Mansion, and boy did he DELIVER!

From our initial outreach to the day of our wedding, Mike was not only extremely communicative and responsive, but also willing to offer suggestions, and ideas, and work with us to help our vision come to life. I had some fairly unique requests, such as incorporating a champagne acrobat into the event and a live saxophone player to accompany his DJ set, and Mike enthusiastically worked to ensure it all could flow seamlessly with our event. We weren't having a massive wedding, but with 105 people coming from 14 states and 4 countries, we wanted everyone to be WOWED, and Mike helped us do just that. His bistro lighting, uplighting, and dance floor lighting really elevated the experience, while setting the perfect ambiance at all the right moments. And with regards to his DJing, the dance floor was full the entire night! He really knew how to keep the party going, while feeling out what the crowd wanted to hear. The biggest thing I'd say though was his behind-the-scenes coordination. He worked hard to ensure everything was flowing from start to finish. Even little things, like moving the speakers from indoors to outdoors when he noticed our party congregating outside to the patio for dancing. We didn't have to ask, he just knew and for that, we are so grateful. Mike is a true professional and craftsman. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Mike Tierney does it all!

My husband and I got married at the Wadsworth mansion and we used Mike Tierney of AMS as our DJ, emcee and lightning extraordinaire! The thing I love most about Mike is in the week leading up to our wedding there was a threat of rain. He spent several days on the phone with me working out a rain plan, changing up the lighting once we rented a tent, and overall was just so flexible and accessible when I was at my most stressed. And the night of, the dance floor was packed all ngiht! Can't recommend him enough!

AMS created the best atmosphere for our perfect day

AMS was recommended to us by our venue and I am so glad they were free for our wedding date. Jared did a WONDERFUL job with the music and the lighting was perfection. I made a Spotify playlist for Jared to use as a reference and he really stuck to what I requested while adding in some stuff that still fit with the vibe. He was very easy to work with before the wedding and during the event itself he immediately responded to any of my requests (skipping a song if it wasn't working, making sure people were dancing, holding off on playing songs while my husband and I had to do other stuff outside). It is very obvious that the AMS team has a ton of experience with such events and we highly recommend them for your special day!

DJ Jared a pleasure to work with

I worked with Jared as our DJ and he made the process very easy. He walked us through the whole day and laid out a schedule of songs or “vibes” for each section. I think even if he had no input from us he’s good at reading the room and playing the right music. He was accommodating when I changed my first dance songs a million times in the days leading up to the wedding, and on the day of, our friend who is classically vocally trained was even able to sing a song during the reception to an instrumental track, totally spontaneously. Thank you Jared for helping us make our day so great!

Wonderful DJ and lighting!

We had an amazing experience with Mike as our DJ and lighting specialist for our August 2023 wedding at the Society Room. From the beginning, Mike was ready to hop on the phone at any time and answer our questions. He was generous with his time as we were deciding on what package to get for our wedding. He made the planning process easy and most importantly, our wedding dance floor was a huge success thanks to him! We had to extend the dance party for 30 minutes it was so much fun. He was very flexible when we asked to hire him for extra time at the literal last minute. His lighting is also AMAZING. The ambiance he created in the Society Room for our reception was simply magical. I didn't quite understand the impact of the lighting beforehand but just trust Mike- you won't regret it!

Setting the Perfect Beat: An Unforgettable DJ Experience!

We had the time of our lives at our wedding reception, and a huge part of that was thanks to Mike Tierney of AMS. The dance floor was alive from the first song to the last, and Mike knew exactly how to keep the energy high and the party going. The playlist was a perfect blend of our favorite tunes and crowd-pleasers, ensuring that everyone was on their feet and having a blast.

What impressed us the most was Mike's ability to read the crowd and adapt the music to keep everyone engaged. They seamlessly transitioned between genres, creating a dynamic atmosphere that appealed to guests of all ages. Best DJ Ever!

I cannot recommend mike enough!! We hired him to DJ our wedding at the wadsworth mansion and the dance floor was packed all night! He played music that appealed to everyone and we all had so much fun! He was so easy to communicate with through the process, very responsive to texts, and has so much experience with weddings at the wadsworth. It was so seamless to coordinate with him and the venue. He was flexible throughout the evening, especially when we last minute wanted to have a friend sing a song! He kept us on our timeline, he played special music for our fireworks show, and he even played one last encore song because everyone was having too much fun to stop dancing! Mike truly made the night a blast and I would encourage any bride and especially a wadsworth bride to book him for their event!

Wow! Where to start - we had the absolute pleasure of having bistro lighting for our wedding tent set up by Mike at AMS. From the beginning, we felt confident in the incredible service Mike would provide us. He came highly recommended from our venue, Wadsworth Mansion, and boy were they right! His work speaks for itself (he has done countless weddings there - all beautiful!!) Amazing !!!!!

We got married in 12/23/22. Working with mike was amazing. He organized our entrance we came out to Star Wars with lightsabers it was perfect. He was able to capture all the music we wanted and kept the crowd dancing the whole night. On top of the music his lighting package is breathtaking it made our venue even more beautiful. The Photo Booth was so much fun my guests loved it and I loved looking at all the pictures later on. Had such a great time working with mike. Would 100% recommend, can do better than mike !

As soon as we had our first wedding consultation with Mike we knew he was professional but we also felt completely comfortable working with him. Mike will be your new BFF!

I don't even know where to start! I got married on 9/10/22 at the Wadsworth Mansion and I can wholeheartedly say my wedding wouldn't have been anything without Mike from AMS! First, from the very moment we "met" via a phone call Mike gave me so many great resources, tips and tricks, and recommendations. Next, throughout our long engagement, Mike was easily accessible for any thing we needed. Ready for this? I told Mike I rented a greenery wall with a sign that had our last name and I told him I bought a polaroid camera for guests to take photos in front of for our photo guestbook. Without even asking, Mike BUILT us a custom self-serve photobooth to use with our backdrop!! It was a HUGE hit with my guests. In fact, my matron of honor texted me after saying she has a huge stack of photos from it because she hung out in the photobooth all night! Honestly, I was blown away by his generosity, creativity, and kindness. My guests absolutely loved the photobooth, I absolutely love my photo guestbook, and even my 87 year old grandfather cannot stop talking about! Not only was the photobooth jawdropping, but the music was phenomenal, and the lighting was stunning. I can't speak highly enough of Mike and recommend him for ALL of your wedding needs!

Must have for atmosphere

We knew from pictures alone we had to have AMS for our wedding at the Society Room of Hartford. Mike has an incredible amount of experience and brought the night life to our venue. The gorgeous up lighting emphasizes the beautiful architecture and brings out the gold glow of our venue. AMS set the romantic tone we wanted for our wedding night as well as getting people on to the dance floor and really making it feel like a night club all in one!

Mike From AMS

Mike was a great DJ. He made the night run seamlessly, from the mics for the ceremony to music & lights. He had everyone rocking and dancing on the dance floor all night. The one comment I had from everyone was, “Wow I’ve never seen so many ppl rush the dance floor.”

I highly recommend this DJ to anyone that is getting married in the future and or if they need a DJ for any event. He does great lighting as well. Make sure to check AMS out, they were great.

Mike is amazing

I can't recommend Mike @ AMS enough. There is a lot more to being a great wedding DJ than playing good music. Mike has great attention to detail, organization, planning, etc., and he is a great DJ on top of all of that. His sound quality is top notch, not to mention he can do incredible lighting (bistro lighting, uplighting, etc.).

Our dance floor was outside on a patio, under a tent because it was supposed to downpour on our wedding day. The tent was less effective than expected, and Mike expressed concerns to us (discreetly) that it would be a safety hazard to dance on the (very) wet dance floor. Mike had no problem moving his entire setup inside while everyone ate dinner, and we ended up having a great time regardless of the rain.

Mike was amazing!

My husband and I got married this past weekend and Mike was incredible. He really catered to our wants and needs, didn't make the whole wedding about him like some DJ's/MC's do, and really knew how to read the room and adapt accordingly. All of our guests had a great time and loved their experience. He helped make it the best day of our lives and I highly recommend him to any couples looking for someone amazing to DJ their wedding! Mike and AMS are truly THE BEST!

Mike and AMS are truly THE BEST! We had a backyard wedding along the Connecticut River. Mike did our music, sound, and micing for the ceremony, was the DJ/MC for our reception, and we also did the uplighting package. The uplighting package was a great call to enhance our reception space since it was outside under a large white tent. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how awesome the music/lighting was and what a blast they had! Mike is thoughtful and thorough to ensure you’re getting the exact theme/vibe that you’re looking for. The pre-wedding questionnaire allowed us to narrow down the type of music we wanted which was super helpful. He is very professional, attentive, and quick to respond to all your questions. If you are in need of music or lighting, I strongly recommend Mike & AMS!!!

Best DJ in the business!

DJ Mike was fantastic! After we had to reschedule our wedding after the pandemic, he confirmed the new date and time and stuck to the original contract. As for the service, Mike was great. We had a pre-meeting where he got a small list of music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception and created the full wedding experience. Everything for our special day; the music, the lighting, as well as the introductions and microphone for speeches was perfect. Choosing AMS for your wedding is the way to go!

Mike is the absolute BEST!!!

My husband and I can not say enough wonderful things about Mike and AMS! He truly went above and beyond to make sure our big day went smoothly and was everything we imagined it would and more. He was so easy to work with (even after we were forced to push our date out by a year due to Covid) and absolutely killed it with the music! Terrific DJ and Lighting

My wife and I were EXTREMELY happy with Audio Media Solutions – Mike is the best! We had our wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion, where Mike has hands-down the best lighting package you can get; I would go so far as to say that Mike’s bistro light package is a must if you’re getting married at the Wadsworth.
On top of his excellent lighting, we also used Mike as the DJ for our wedding and once again, we only have positive feedback to give. Most important to me is that Mike isn’t one of those corny wedding DJ’s that’s on the mic for the entire event, making people cringe in the audience. Mike was extremely professional, courteous and light-hearted during the wedding. And the music! I was very impressed with Mike’s pre-wedding questionnaire that allowed us to narrow down the type of music we wanted played. My wife and I had a pretty comprehensive list of “must-play” and “don’t play” songs but even then Mike perfectly filled the gaps in time with songs that perfectly fit the vibe we wanted at the wedding. I’d strongly recommend Mike for both lighting and DJ’ing anytime.

Highly Recommend!!

I cannot say enough great things about AMS Media!! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of music and lighting for their big day. We had them DJ our wedding and provide lighting. The music was great! Mike really listened to the theme/genre we were going for and the music kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. He even downloaded a requested song for us during the event. The lighting not only created a fun "club/dance party" like atmosphere but it was absolutely stunning. It lit up the room in a beautiful color that created an "awe" moment. We began working and planning for our big day pre-pandemic and had to postpone a year later and Mike was so flexible working with us during the difficult times. Great energy!

Working with Mike at AMS was so fun - he was engaging and excited to bring our reception to life! We gave him a general idea of songs we enjoyed and he was able to read the room for cocktail hour, dinner and get people up and dancing afterwards. He worked in a few unexpected cover songs that we had never heard before, but LOVED.
When planning our wedding, we never worried about the entertainment part of it all because we knew Mike came with so much experience that our wedding would be easy peasy for him. In addition to being a great DJ, he put on a fun light show that just added to the atmosphere!

Beyond Impressed!

Finding vendors can be a little stressful-especially the search for a good DJ. Mike from AMS turned out to be much more than that. He is a drummer and is well versed in music. He clearly knows how to work a crowd. Being a musician myself, I was very impressed with his ability to incorporate the songs that were meaningful to us, but also wasn’t afraid to provide suggestions that he knew our guests would love. He is also a one-stop-shop.
The bistro lighting he provides is actually the only lighting they allow at our venue and for good reason-1.) it’s stunning and 2.) AMS has a great reputation. Mike is an excellent communicator-especially when creating a schedule with our vendors to ensure the night ran smoothly. We were especially impressed with how Mike has multiple backup devices to ensure there were no mishaps and uses top notch equipment so the sound is crystal clear. Austin and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to use AMS!

Lights, Music, Action!

We were first drawn to Mike for his bistro lighting. We quickly realized that this guy gets it - he gave us more insight into how to have a smooth (and fun) wedding than any blog, website, or planner could have. Mike was so much fun to work with and he made our entire wedding have the extra "it" factor. I can't even tell you the number of compliments we received on the music AND the lighting!! We held our wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion on June 26th and Mike had the whole Mansion lit up. My friends (who are ravers) were even so impressed with the lighting display. As a DJ, Mike was able to read the room and keep the music flowing. We played everything from ABBA to The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. It was exactly what we wanted and our guests loved it! He also has a really, really great dog.

Book AMS Before Someone Else Does!

I got married at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station June 19th and Mike did my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music along with lighting and sound and I couldn't have picked a better DJ. I have been a wedding planner for years, so to say I had high standards when booking a DJ isn't a secret. Mike was absolutely wonderful to work with from day 1-he was organized, professional and quick to respond if I had questions or needed his opinion. The AV and sound for my ceremony and during speeches never faltered, the lighting package I had was amazing and all my guests loved it. I was able to provide a few key songs to Mike for the reception and he read the crowd for the rest of the night and we had guests dancing for 3 hours straight!!

What an amazing dj!

Mike was extremely professional and helped make our wedding day a blast! Our guests loved the music and the lighting he provided. We originally created a playlist for him through Spotify just to give him an idea of what kind of music we liked, and he expanded on that and provided an atmosphere that all of our guests enjoyed. He worked with us on our timeline and introductions for our ceremony, reception and dances and was more than willing to take requests from people. My wife and I are people of color (African American) so we're very picky when it comes to our music so when we first sat down with Mike, we were skeptical, and one would think "can this guy really do our wedding?" All that skepticism went away when showed us his professionalism and the equipment that he uses and even demonstrated it to us. I first heard about Mike via our wedding venue, and I met him in person at a bridal expo. His services are money WELL SPENT!!! Everyone just raved about the music he played at our wedding. I can't thank him enough for being our DJ!

Amazing DJ for your wedding!

Fun and Experienced DJ!

DJ Mike was the very first vendor we retained after we secured our venue back in 2018(!!!!). We were captivated by his experience and personality. The Perfect DJ For Your Wedding!!!

My wife & I had been in talks and planning our May 1, 2021 wedding since May 2020 and we couldn't imagine having done it without Jared from AMS. Despite living 2 hours away from Hartford, CT, Jared and Mike made it beyond easy to communicate with them and were extremely receptive and fun to work with. Jared did an amazing job helping perfect the flow of our wedding and playing music that worked with our crowd and got people involved and excited. Jared also helped us a lot by making the desired moments we wanted perfect and working with us in the moment to adjust plans and make our wedding easy on us. Most importantly, Jared did an amazing job at combining our "must play" songs and the base reception music together seamlessly. AMS is worth it and I'll keep giving them praises because they helped made our big day the one we always dreamed of.

Mike is the best

We couldn’t be happier to have used AMS for our 5/1/21 wedding! Mike was incredible from the first moment we met him to the end of the night when he said his goodnights to the families. He was professional, kind, and just an absolutely wonderful guy to have around. The energy of the entire day was amazing beginning to end, and the music played such an important role in that. We had countless guests come up to us solely to say how wonderful the music was, and the dance floor was never empty. And the lights. THE LIGHTS. He made this absolute dreamscape of fairy lights on the inside of the reception tent that couldn’t be replicated by fairies themselves. Look No Further, AMS Needs to be at your Wedding!

If you are in the market for wedding entertainment, Mike from AMS is 100% your guy! AMS provided DJ, Lighting, and a Photobooth at our wedding at the Bond Ballroom on 11/16/19. From the day we met him, Mike demoed all of his equipment in his mock wedding setup at his office location. To see the professional lighting and hear the music in person months before the wedding ensured us that we could not leave without telling Mike that AMS needed to be at our wedding. He even made suggestions based on his past experience at Bond Ballroom for what specific sound system he needed to tailor the sound to the event space. The music sounded perfect, the lighting was amazing, and our guests had to much fun in the photobooth. We can’t count the number of compliments we got at the end of the night about how fun the wedding was! Mike was extremely responsive every step of the way. We met a month before the wedding to finalize the playlist and texted all week leading up to the wedding with last minute suggestions and plans. He really made us feel at ease that our day was going to go perfectly. Mike was a pleasure to work with and we felt like we were in great hands from day one. Absolutely Wonderful!

I decided a month before my wedding that I needed to have a DJ. This made me completely stressed and worried that I would not find what I was looking for. Luckily, someone put me in touch with Mike. With only a month until the wedding, Mike made all my music expectations a reality. He was kind and professional and played everything perfectly. He got my wedding song perfect! Also, he brought lighting that transformed both the reception room and the dance floor! My family cannot stop talking about what a great dance party we had. This is who you want!

Mike with AMS was the DJ for our wedding at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford, 9/7/19. To put it simply, Mike is who you ought to go with if you’re looking for a DJ that really cares about what you want out of a DJ, cares deeply about his work and his customers’ wishes. Mike will not make you feel like you have to do anything one or or the other, but will make terrific suggestions based on what he’s seen work and not work over many years doing this stuff. We sat down a month or so before the wedding at his studio and went through every thing about the big day over a bottle of wine. He’s just as happy to be told exactly what you want as he is to be given artistic license. Super good guy, super incredible sound system and lighting, and super great experience. Also, price isn’t prohibitively expensive. Would use again if ever re-marrying, but hoping not.

We would pick AMS over and over again!

We could not be happier with our decision to have AMS as our wedding reception entertainment (DJ and photobooth). The team was helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. Brett’s energy and enthusiasm were contagious from the first time we met with him, through the final moments of equipment breakdown. He really knows his stuff - he listened to our music preferences and offered great input and suggestions for our playlist. We elected to include the uplighting during our reception and are pleased with the extra energy and look it gave to the dance party portion of the night. We received a lot of compliments on how wonderful our DJ was and we completely agree!

We also used the AMS photobooth during our reception and everyone had an absolute blast. There were great props and we have fun photos to look back on. We highly recommend AMS for your wedding – you will be so thankful to have a knowledgeable and experienced team with you on your big day.

Our experience with Mike

Mike and AMS were great! When we initially met with Mike we were actually almost 30 minutes early and he was super accommodating and let us come in early. Any questions we had throughout the process was met with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. As our wedding approached Mike was extremely flexible in setting up our final meeting. During our final meeting, Mike was extremely detailed and laid out for us how everything would run on his part day of. Mike let us know what still needed to be finished and checked in with us the week of to make sure we were all on the same page. Day of our wedding Mike kept the party going until the very end of our ceremony. He was accommodating if we needed to change the plan and was extremely attentive. We have already recommended Mike to some of our friends who are getting married in the next couple of years.

On top of his game!!

We highly recommend Mike at AMS! He DJ'd our wedding at The Society Room at the beginning of August. He was very responsive and quick to answer emails and text messages. Mike was very enthusiastic about his work and knows the venue inside and out! We didn't know what we needed from a DJ, but everything he offered ended up being it! He made sure to put on a show, but kept us at the center of attention. He was well prepared, sending us updates in the days leading up to the wedding leaving us with alot of confidence and comfort knowing the day would run smoothly (and it did!)! He kept the entire evening extremely organized from the minute the first guest arrived for the ceremony to the very last song on the dance floor. He did a great job of incorporating songs from every genre that we like and was able to fill in the blanks based on the crowd. Everyone had a great time dancing!! We took his recommendation to play "Don't Stop Believing" as the last song and it was a huge hit! He came to check on us prior to the ceremony to make sure everything was going ok which was a nice touch. The services he offers are well worth the price. We recommend doing the light show and purchasing the GOBO...it makes a huge difference!

First class experience with Mike @ AMS

As a groom, there are very things pertaining to a wedding that fall into our control by choice. I wanted to find a great DJ for our wedding since music is what a lot of the people remember. I was extremely lucky to get to work with Mike at Audio Media Solutions. Right from the start, he was asking questions not only to get to know our music preference but more importantly who we are as people and what our vision for the wedding was. Mike was very methodical and was a great listener. He took down all the things we wanted and packaged them up into a perfect day of experience.

Mike is very detail oriented which is a huge win, especially for a lot of the brides who have a million thoughts running through their head with all the wedding details. He put me and my now wife at ease by clearly communicating all the things he heard us ask for and put things in a nice timeline for us. He was very responsive leading up to the wedding and made things flow so smooth on our wedding night. He also worked so well with our event staff and literally had the dance floor packed the entire evening by playing a little something for everyone in attendance. Multiple people came up to us to comment both the visual appeal of his lighting and the amazing playlist he had going throughout the course of the night.

If you are getting married and want a DJ/Visual setup that will leave a great impression on you and your guests, Mike is the guy for you. He is a true professional and was an absolute pleasure to work with

The lighting was everything!

We used AMS for our lighting and it was amazing! We had a large industrial space (airplane hangar) and we needed to make it look like a wedding venue! The lighting was everything! The pictures came out great and we got so many compliments from our guests and other vendors including the band! Working with Mike was so easy too! He was always available by text, email of phone. He has a really awesome demo room where he can give you a preview of what the lighting looks like (not alot of vendors have this) and he is very very reasonable when it comes to pricing. We even got a little stencil with our wedding date and initials on it, that they used in one of their light fixtures and it was projected on to a wall in the hangar. They even customized it with an airplane propeller! If you are thinking about lighting for one of your event - call them!

Awesome Wedding DJ Service

We hired AMS for our wedding on July 20th, 2019. We highly recommend them for their awesome service. As a whole, the company has a lot to offer you and is very professional! We had DJ Brett who listened to us 100% and totally understood the music we were looking for and was so interactive with the crowd. Our guests had a blast. We are very pleased with their top notch service and I would definitely recommend them for your special day!

Best possible choice for your wedding!

Hiring Mike Tierney and AMS was the absolute best choice we made while planning our wedding. Mike is a true professional. From the quality of his equipment, to the his extensive knowledge of how to put on a true production, you will absolutely not find this quality with any other DJ for your event. Mike meets with you to not only show you what he can do, but also completely customize every single thing for your event to make sure it is perfect and it is YOU. Mike worked with our other vendors and our venue to make the day run exactly how we wanted. The dance floor was packed the entire time and we got loads of compliments that he was the best wedding DJ our guests had ever seen. You will absolutely not regret hiring AMS. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough.

AMAZING experience

We had a fantastic experience working with Mike at Audio Media Solutions. From our first conversation, I knew that he was the right DJ for us. He was extremely responsive, helpful, and completely understood what we wanted from Day 1. We were not local, so we were able to do everything over the phone and the actual wedding day went seamlessly. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ/MC

Audio Media Solutions came highly recommended to us by the wedding coordinator at our venue, the Bond Ballroom, and they did not disappoint. From beginning to end Mike Tierney kept things running smoothly and helped create the perfect atmosphere that we had always dreamed of. The lighting and sound system that AMS provided filled the entire ballroom with incredible dynamic light and rich sound that kept the dance floor packed all night. We received two compliments many times over after our wedding from both young and old attendees. First, that the music was incredible and second, that the day just seemed go so smoothly. Much of the credit belongs to AMS for putting on such a great production.

Every step of the way Mike was great to work with. From our initial consultation where we were shown all of the amazing lighting and sound capabilities that AMS can provide in their private studio, to our sit down prior to the wedding to review our musical tastes, bridal party details and the schedule for the day, Mike made us feel 100% confident that our big day was going to be fantastic.

Mike and Brett are awesome!!

Brett was the DJ for our May 3rd wedding. He was awesome! When we met with him for a consultation for our songs and do not play list, we were so excited for him to DJ our wedding because of his outgoing personality. He listened to our styles and was able to expand on music we wanted and also asked about some of our favorite music to add in for us. He listened to us and was also able to joke around with us and make us feel a lot less stressed about having to decide about all the music for our wedding.
Mike, the owner of AMS was helpful and was also easy to talk with. When we initially met with AMS as a potential DJ we were happy with our decision to book them because he made us feel at ease. Especially since our venue was Mystic Aquarium. So there were certain guidelines they had to stick to seeing as there were live animals throughout the venue.

Overall, we would definitely recommend AMS!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I only have the absolute best to say about AMS.
The DJ for our wedding on 11/25/18 was Brett but we also worked a lot with Mike. Since the beginning, both of these guys were awesome.
They are extremely knowledgeable and talented but also very down to earth and kind. We had a multicultural wedding and Brett did an amazing job incorporating different styles of music to get everyone dancing.
I would strongly recommend AMS to anyone looking for a professional, personable DJ service.

Absolutely perfect!

I used AMS for my lighting and photo booth back in August and guests are still asking about it!!! The lighting was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I felt like we were at a concert! Just incredible. Guests had so much fun in the photo booth and it was definitely a huge hit!! Mike was so great to work with. He is SO talented and an all-around great guy. Definitely recommend AMS over and over again!
