Epic wedding dance floor

DJ Sean was awesome! He kept the dance floor PACKED all night and he made sure he played what we wanted to hear while making sure the guests were into it and having a great time. He was extremely communicative throughout the whole process. He was a great MC as well and helped the reception flow smoothly. Booking with him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!

Incredible DJ!

Sean (ATX DJ) was incredible to work with for our wedding at Villa Antonia. He is a master of his craft in sound and lighting. He took extra time prior to the wedding to perfect our plan; he was professional, accommodating and timely in his responses. He perfectly executed our "vision" for the reception. He knows how to keep people on the dance floor, and he is highly competent in reading a room. We appreciated his creativity - as he will steer clear of stereotypical wedding music if you opt to. Hire him for your wedding!

Amazing experience - would definitely recommend!

Our DJ Sean was absolutely amazing! From being patient, flexible, and understanding during the planning process and making sure all my questions were answered - to being amazing vibes on the day of I am super grateful we went with Sean. He is such a sweetheart, great at reading the audience and adjusting with the vibes, and paying attention to you to make sure you're good. His set up is also super attractive! 10/10 recommend!

Amazing DJ!

DJ Sean is the best! He made planning the music fun and easy, and he offered helpful suggestions. He was great to work with, super communicative, and we wouldn't have picked any other DJ. Fantastic and Stress Free!

Sean was amazing. At our initial consultation we talked about our overall energy level and expectation for the wedding. He provided us with a website to help us in picking songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He reviewed the list, followed up with us to make sure he understood what we were going for, added some suggestions based on his experience and absolutely delivered!

On the day, he had us mic'd up for the ceremony, was setup for an outdoor cocktail hour and then transitioned inside for the welcome/reception seamlessly.

He acted almost like a wedding planner to help keep us on schedule and checked in with us to make sure things were going as planned. He did so well, the Bride and I both separately went up to him during the reception to praise his high energy and talents! He played all the best parts of all of our favorite songs, knew when to bring it down so people could catch their breath, then went right back to up-tempo.

Sean is amazing and I would absolutely recommend him!

So fun! Perfect DJ for us!

I loved working with Sean. He made the decision so easy - even spinning a bit for us over Facetime! He brought the best energy and took our recommendations to action so well. Best DJ Ever

Christian was everything we could have asked for and more. Within the first 5 minutes of our first conversation, he already completely understood what we wanted for our "music festival wedding", but also knew how to combine our needs as well as the needs of our guests of all ages from all over. Not only did Christian combine our requests with his musical savvy, but he is hands down one of the best DJs. The dance floor was packed all night! What we loved most about Christian is that he wasn't like any other wedding DJ we have encountered in the past - it really felt like we were at one of his shows. We would get married again just so we could have Christian DJ it.

Whoop Whoop! All up and dancing!

April, 2021 wedding......Sean, from ATX DJ . Hello! & Yes! to hiring Sean! We were looking for a DJ who would get our guests up on that dance floor and boy did Sean deliver. The Bride and her fiance picked many songs with Sean prior to the wedding day.... but mainly they wished to express to Sean the party vibe they were going for. Sean seamlessly worked the music for hours. We LOVED his introductions of the wedding party as they entered the reception area. And his ability to assist with the transitions that took place during the wedding day. Highly recommend Sean, owner and wonderful DJ from ATX DJ!

Amazing DJ Experience!

Sean absolutely rocked the dance floor at our wedding! We had a diverse group of attendees on our guest list and Sean made sure everyone had a good time. From oldies, to country, to pop, to electronic Sean had every genre of music covered and he seamlessly mixed between them to keep the dance floor packed all night long. Sean also took the time to make sure our needs as bride and groom were met. If there was a moment when we wanted to hear a particular song, he quickly adjusted to get it played for us.

We were so lucky to find Christian as our DJ. He is so much more than that. He is so experienced in weddings that he will work with you to deliver a seamless night. One of the best vendors we never knew we needed!

I was one of those brides who thought I didn't need a DJ and could just play a playlist from my phone, but boy was I wrong! Sean is much more than a DJ--he helped us create the mood and tone of our reception, and he helped coordinate logistics and flow throughout the day. We had a lot of moving pieces with my brother playing the ceremony music, and he coordinated everything perfectly. He was professional and calm, helping to reduce any nerves or stress about the big day. Also, during the reception, I was so impressed at how he could read the room and crowd and adjusted the music accordingly. DJs are hard to hire if you haven't heard them live, but that's what I did with Sean after a very successful and positive phone interview, and I am SO GLAD I did. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

DJ Sean was hands down the best guy I have ever met. From the initial start, he not only answered my 100+ questions :) but made sure to deliver on our requests including having Armenian music to accompany my background. Lastly, he helped provide guidance and recommendation but always made sure we were front and centered. His help carried on throughout the night because our dancefloor was never empty. Best DJ of all time!!!

Ok y'all - Sean is the best. Music is SO so important to me - I curated our wedding reception playlist for over a year prior to the wedding. Music can also make or break the whole vibe of the dinner and reception. I've been to several weddings where the music just didn't match the vibe of the room and it results in an empty dance floor. Sean kept the dance floor full THE ENTIRE time!!! Even my parents got up mid-meal and started dancing. It was incredible. He reads the room and adjusts the songs, volume, and lighting to match. He organized the playlist to start with the softer, more family-friendly songs and build up to the real party. Even people who self-proclaimed to hate dancing were on the dance floor! If you're going with a DJ for your wedding - look no further than Sean. He is the best!

Incredible!!!!!

I cannot say enough about Sean. He was the best vendor we had. Sean was easy to contact and we stayed in contact with him from the day we booked him to the day we got married. He was on top of so many aspects of the wedding we would never have thought of. Sean had great recommendations for songs as well! He was so easy to work with and genuinely cares about us as his clients. He could read the crowd so well and know what the crowd was enjoying. He is simply incredible!!! The photo booth was amazing as well. The staff working the photobooth were so friendly and had great energy. They brought the best prompts and our photobook to take home is personalized and perfect. They were great. We will remain friends with Sean! I would recommend with 100%!!

Sean at ATX DJ is phenomenal. Not only is he great at keeping any vibe going that you wish (country/rock/rap/line dances), he is a 5 star-highly recommend from me because of his ability to pick up social cue’s. There were multiple times (mother-son dance, father-daughter dance) that we needed songs to simply end and move on, and Sean only needed quick eye contact, and he would flow into the next moment with no awkward pause. Over 100 people at the wedding commented on the song selections and how there was never a dull song or moment. He made our entire evening seem like a dream, and I truly attribute that to the music. Thank you Sean at ATX DJ for making our wedding the best night of our lives!

I absolutely loved working with Sean!! He made everything so easy and stress free. We met initially to go over everything I wanted him to do and we met again the week of the make sure we had every detail planned. He was so great, I trusted him to select a lot of the music on his own. He was very thorough in getting to know my husband and I, as well as our music preferences. He picked out all the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and it was so perfect! He brought enough equipment to set up in two separate spaces and made sure everything ran smoothly. He knew exactly when to announce everything during the reception. He made sure to keep me on track and made last minute changes on the spot. Everyone loved him and had an absolute blast! Sean at ATX DJ is seriously worth EVERY penny that you will spend on services with him. I am not a music buff by any means and he made making our playlists a breeze. I told him the general feel that I wanted for dinner, and he suggested different artists and songs that he had in mind. He knew exactly what I wanted, and even on a Sunday evening wedding, the dance floor was pretty darn full! He was so responsive to my emails, even right after his wife had their youngest child. Sean is such a kind person, you can tell he really cares about his job and his clients. I will recommend him to anyone!

Sean was by far my favorite vendor to work with! He put all my worries at ease, listened to our opinions were, and was very kind and courteous throughout! He's extremely professional, and during the initial meet and greet his mixing skills blew me away! On the day of the wedding, he nailed it! Our guests were having a wonderful time! He was also extremely prompt with his setup which I appreciated immensely. His DJ booth is also unlike many other DJs, so aesthetically pleasing! I was able to make my own screen design that carried through the theme of the wedding! I just LOVED working with Sean, and would hire him over and over again!

DJ Sean Alan was so awesome! From beginning to end, planning meetings to wedding reception, he couldn't have made it easier for us. We went away from the reception wishing it wasn't over, and much of that was due to the music and the fun we were all having on the dance floor. We had a wide range of ages attending the reception and Sean worked really hard to help us have something for all. We've had comments from from so many on how much fun the music was. The dance floor was never empty. Also, must say the photo booth was quite a hit as well. Loved getting the great photo album with all the fun pics to look back on. So many good things to say, where do I begin! We chose Sean as our DJ about a year ago, and he just performed at our wedding a week ago. We were BEYOND happy with every aspect of working with him. From the very first skype, he was so friendly, warm and genuine after we ended the call we immediately knew he was our guy. I had a surprise I wanted to do for my Husband and he helped me pull it off perfectly! Every time I reached out to run something by him he responded very quickly, if not immediately, and even checked in with me from time to time without being prompted. His vibe and personality at the wedding was EXACTLY what we were hoping for in our DJ. Numerous guests commented on how awesome the music was and the DJ himself. We hear a lot of "We love your DJ!". He worked hand in hand with the other vendors to ensure we were able to just float through the evening soaking in every second, without having to worry about our next move or any details. When it was time to plan for our wedding, one of the only things we knew we wanted was a DJ. It was important that the DJ we chose would be able to keep our friends, family, and especially us dancing all night because we sure do love to dance! Luckily, we were able to find that through Sean! After emailing him, we scheduled a telephone meeting where immediately we knew we had to book him. It felt like reconnecting with an old friend and his taste in music was great! He also had a cool tone of voice that made announcements sound awesome! We booked a package which included uplighting and a PhotoBooth. We met in person twice throughout the planning process in which he was very accommodating to make it convenient for us and he would also respond quickly whenever we would email him. He was helpful with answering our questions and concerns. We hadn't chosen many of the songs until our last meeting and our bridal entrance song two weeks prior to the wedding date, but he reassured me that everything was going to be okay and he was definitely right! He was able to help guide us in music for moments we never knew were supposed to have music, convert youtube songs that we could not find anywhere, and put the bride and son dance together perfect (we had a slow dance that changed to a fast paced choreographed dance). He provides you with a weblink which has your information that will also help organize everything and even suggests popular songs for certain dances/moments. It was such a pleasure working with him and he definitely helped make our wedding the best ever!

Sean got everyone dancing at my wedding last April. Everyone. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, awkward dates of friends, introverts, wallflowers, everyone.

I was impressed with Sean before I even met him. He's got an interface on his website where customers can choose songs that should be played and, most importantly, songs that should *not* be played. So I was able to cut out "The Macarana" and "The Chicken Dance" months before my wedding. It's not a deal-sealer for a good DJ, but it was a solid indicator that this guy knows what he's doing.

Sean went above and beyond for our wedding. There was some confusion with our wedding planner so Sean and a couple of our friends who run a wedding venue stepped in to make sure everything went without a hitch.

If you're looking for a DJ for your wedding, Christmas party for work, school dance, retirement party, house party, or any event that involves humans and celebrating, you're done looking. Hire Sean.

We could not be more pleased with Sean's services! He provided us with both quality DJ services and the photo booth service, which was an absolute smash at the reception. Seriously, the photo booth is an amazing idea, and every reception should have one!

Sean was incredibly responsive to our needs and interests. He took amazing care of us by consulting to understand precisely what we were looking for during the reception, offering suggestions where we weren't really sure. He responds to e-mails quickly, and takes care of any troubles that you have.

He made our reception amazing! By the end of the night, we had turned the ballroom into a full-on dance club, and everybody was loving it. Sean helped us make our reception the social event of the summer.

I cannot recommend him enough; he will take excellent care of you and knows exactly how to make for a killer party!

DJ Sean Alan is THE BEST! For a couple who loves music so much, but aren't big dancers, DJ Sean was a life saver. He had so many creative ideas and suggestions for keeping our guests entertained while still keeping our vision for our wedding ceremony and reception at the forefront. Sean is very experienced, knowledgeable and professional, and he's just an all-around cool guy! He's very responsive and will be involved in the planning as little or as much as you need him. He even helped us create the timeline of events for our wedding reception, which was such a huge help, considering we did not hire a wedding coordinator. Sean was absolutely on point and checked-in with us several times throughout the reception to let us know what would be happening next. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and made us feel 100% confident that he had everything under control, which is one less thing we had to worry about! ATX DJ kept our dance floor rocking all night! DJ Sean Alan is the best in the business, he is responsive, professional and knows his music. DJ Sean Alan is AWESOME! He is such a pleasure to work with and is truly one of the most understanding, flexible and easygoing people I’ve ever met. He is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help as little or much as you need him. Personally, as a bride who did not have a wedding planner, I found him to be a lifesaver. During the planning process he made suggestions for things that we had not even considered and was always open and honest. He has an easy-to-use website that allows you to build your own custom song list (so much fun!) and made sure we had everything in place in order to make the night run smoothly. From the very beginning, it was obvious how much Sean loves his work. He spent more than an hour with us during our initial meeting explaining his philosophy and listening to our ideas. He was incredibly communicative and easy to reach via email. He was also great about offering suggestions and explaining them based on his experience. Additionally, we found that his price was a great value when compared to other DJs in Austin that provide similar services. To top off his great service, Sean's first child was born on the way to our wedding and amazingly, he still came because his backup was no longer available. That's dedication right there! Choosing a good DJ was one of our top priorities for our wedding day and we couldn't be happier that we were able to work with Sean. Not only is he an incredible talented DJ who knows how to get and keep the dance floor full, but he is also a really really nice guy. When we met with Sean, we could tell he really wanted to make sure the music throughout our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception was perfect. And it was! We had SUCH a good time, nearly all of our guests said they had a ton of fun dancing during the reception. Additionally, Sean had to move his entire setup between the ceremony and reception (both were at the same venue), which I'm sure wasn't the easiest thing to do, but he was very accommodating. We are so happy he was the DJ at our wedding and highly recommend him to future couples!

DJ Sean ALAN was an AMAZING DJ!!! We all know how important music is at a wedding and Sean was the perfect DJ anyone would want at their party. He had everyone on the dance floor all night. He truly made our wedding reception so much FUN because of his great talent. I tasked my husband with finding a DJ for the wedding...since we had a wedding in San Antonio and live in Dallas, we had to entirely rely on online reviews. When very quickly he said that he found a guy who had the best reviews online, my nosy self became suspicious - but boy did we get lucky that Sean was still available for our date!!!! Hiring him was the best decision we could have made!

From the start, the party was the most important thing to us. We gave Sean a tricky task, since I am German and my husband's family is from Persian, we wanted a mix of music. Sean has an awesome website that lets you add music to your playlist any time before the wedding – it was perfect, because anytime you thought of a song, we could write it down and truly select special songs we wanted played. Without the blink of an eye, he organized to have all the German and Persian songs ready for the party and was UNBELIEVABLE in how he weaved the different styles together! Let me tell you… we heard from so many of our guests that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to…and we attribute that to Sean 100%!!! We also booked his photobooth (Liveoak Photobooth) and the team could have not been any sweeter.

He singlehandedly is responsible for the amazing party we had. He was SO responsive, professional and receptive the entire night to any little favor or request we asked, and we truly could never thank him enough!

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Sean Allen. He made us feel so comfortable in the days leading up to the wedding by meeting with us, giving song suggestions and just by answering all of our questions. On the day of the wedding he made sure everything ran smoothly by making announcements when needed and he always knew the best music to play for the mood our guests were in - it turned into one heck of a party :) We left for our honeymoon the next day with so much joy in our hearts because we had the time of our lives and we knew our family/guests did too!

Trust the reviews. That's the best advice I can give you. We planned a destination wedding from Australia to Austin and we "met" Sean via Skype. He's a true pro and we immediately felt comfortable even chatting with him over video. When I was having trouble deciding on a Caterer, I emailed Sean because he knows everyone in the wedding industry in Austin. We went with his recommendation and true to his word, they were incredible! When we arrived a few days before our wedding, he also took the time on his partner's birthday to meet with us for coffee just to get to know us a bit better before the big day. He is fun and friendly and he knows his stuff inside and out. One of the best perks about working with Sean, besides his great, easy going personality, is that he has a website where you can create a playlist to give him an idea of the musical theme you're going for during the cocktail hour, reception, dance party etc. This was great as it gave us an opportunity to put together some of our favorite songs and ensure in advance that Sean knew to play them for us.
I cannot recommend Sean enough. Like I said before, trust the reviews!!

To say DJ Sean is amazing is an understatement for he is INCREDIBLE! While looking for a DJ for my Dripping Springs wedding I didn't think I would ever be able to find what I was wanting. And then we found Sean, we booked with him right at the first meeting because that is the kind of first impression he makes. Not only is he such a great DJ, but he is a wonderful person. He is very quick to respond when you contact him and genuinely cares about making your wedding day everything you want it to be. The week of the wedding we met DJ Sean at a Starbucks to discuss the music we wanted, we were 30 min late to meet him because we got lost. He had such an amazing attitude and was not upset with us at all, how amazing is that! He goes over the wedding day timeline with you and all the songs you want played, he's super organized. He even got me the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to that I could only find on a youtube video. He goes beyond your expectations! On we Wedding Day he had every person dancing the entire 2 hours, it was an awesome dance party. There was so much dancing the floor was shaking haha! My husband and I left our wedding and we couldn't stop talking about Sean (ATX DJ)! He was by far the best part of our wedding - he made it so incredibly fun and memorable. Our friends and family had an absolute blast dancing the night away with Sean's music. Sean was so wonderful and professional to work with. He understood our vision, and had amazing ideas for music to keep our wide variety of wedding guests happy. DJ Sean Alan was one of the kindest vendors we worked with for our wedding. From the moment I met him with my bridesmaid, he was open to hearing about what type of music/atmosphere we wanted for the wedding. During our initial meeting, he even showed us his skills in mixing and dj-ing. Something other DJs we met with didn't. He has tons of experience in playing at weddings; he has done HUNDREDS of weddings. Once you book with him, you will have access to his website where you can pick and choose the music you want/don't want for your wedding. He is the type of DJ that will let you customize your wedding playlist, and won't be rude about it. He is completely open to anything and everything. My family is Vietnamese and had wanted him to play some Vietnamese music during cocktail hour and dinner. I made him a list of songs my parents wanted to hear and Sean accommodated us! He had found the perfect number of Vietnamese songs to play and my family loved it. They felt like our DJ acknowledged our culture and cared about his clients.

DJ Sean Alan is the BEST DJ in the ATX. He DJ'd our wedding at House on the Hill in Austin Texas and went above and beyond! He met with us to get to know us and get a feel for our style. We got to pick each and every song that we wanted to play during the night and we were able to defer to his expertise on the fillers and he helped us select the best fits for each part of our wedding from the processional all the way to the last dance. My now husband and I have very different taste in music and DJ Sean helped us meld our tastes together so we could both be represented. He kept the party going the entire night and everyone had an amazing time and all of my guests raved about how great the DJ was. I can't wait to come up with another excuse to have to use DJ Sean again in the future. This review is long overdue, but I wanted to make sure I posted it. I LOVED working with Sean for my wedding. My biggest pet peeve is an unprofessional DJ who makes it about himself and doesn't keep an organized flow, or doesn't make clear announcements to keep things moving along. Sean is none of those things, and is in fact the perfect DJ! My parents couldn't stop talking about how much they liked him, how professional he was, and how much they loved the music he played. I didn't give much direction because I knew from my original consultation Sean understood the vibe and I trusted him to run with it. Please do not price shop when it comes to a DJ, you truly get what you pay for and Sean is more than worth it!!!

Sean was amazing! He made things so easy on us and his website was very helpful. We were able to choose from so much music and that made creating our list so much fun. I cannot say enough great things about DJ Sean!!!! He is absolutely amazing!!! By far the best DJ in the Austin area. My husband and I just recently got married in August and one of our best memories from our big day is dancing on the dance floor! DJ Sean is friendly, personable, reliable and just a down to earth great guy. His level of talent and experience by far beats any other DJ around. DJ Sean really took the time to work with us and helped us pick the best music for our wedding. DJ Sean is professional and knows how to read the crowd. There was not a single time at our wedding that our guests were not on the dance floor having a great time! He played a great variety of music that catered to everyone at our wedding. Sean was the DJ for our wedding and was flawless! First of all, he was very easy to communicate with, extremely nice. He was always professional, kind, conscientious, and was very well dressed. A couple weeks before the wedding he took the time to have a face to face meeting with us to discuss our tastes and preferences, and to get to know us as a couple. He really put our minds at ease from the get go! He did a fabulous job and played the songs we requested. There were always people dancing and having a good time. He did a great job with keeping the flow and transitioning genres or songs in response to the crowd. He played all the right songs at the right time. Hire this awesome man!!! Sean was our DJ for our wedding on May 10th, 2014. There is just not enough praise that we can give him. He was attentive and cared about what we wanted. He is also one of the nicest people that we have had the pleasure to meet. We did most of our initial communications with Sean via email & met with him about a month before our wedding. It's so obvious that Sean is a man who truly vibrates with love for what he does. He set our minds at ease with that first meeting and by the time we left the second meeting the week of the wedding we knew that all we had to do was show up & everything else would be taken care of. And it was. Sean did an amazing job as our DJ. He caught onto the flow of what our guests liked & everyone had a blast!! We all danced our butts off all night long, even people that are not known to dance (like me). We highly recommend Sean & we hope to have the opportunity to use him again in the future!!!

Sean with ATX DJ is the best. He was our DJ for our wedding, and he was amazing. From the beginning, he was very organized and we were able to start selecting songs we wanted to have at our wedding on his website as soon as we decided that Sean would be our DJ, which I highly recommend bc as you get closer to the wedding, you start running out of time faster than you think. He pays great attention to detail and really understood the vision we had for our wedding. He had awesome recommendations for every aspect of the wedding from the ceremony to dinner to first dances to the party at the end. We're both from different parts of Europe so we had family from all over, and Sean did an amazing job of incorporating music from all of those regions. My cousin gave him a flash drive of foreign music the day of the wedding, and Sean incorporated that music flawlessly. Literally everyone was dancing including all of our European family and all of our friends. He read the crowd really well and so many of our guests came up to us multiple times to tell us how awesome the DJ is. He played a huge variety of music and blended that music perfectly. Everything flowed and the wedding turned into a huge dance party which is exactly what we wanted. Advice I have for brides is don't skimp put on the DJ. It makes a huge difference when you have an awesome DJ.

I wish that there was a space to leave 100 gold stars for Sean from ATX DJ. He is that AMAZING. As a coordinator in Central Texas I work with several vendors and sitting on the sideline for my own wedding was no easy task; but I knew that I was in good hands the entire time for several reasons, but mainly because this is his passion. He has a plethora of music knowledge and experience but most of all he is an expert at managing a crowd. No matter the group size or style he can make it work. He performs at hundreds of weddings a year and he always brings his “A” game to each event. The best thing that I can say about working with Sean is that he makes your music unique to your event and to your personality. At our wedding we had a huge cultural music gap with my husband's family wanting traditional Tejano music, to my family wanting old school country, (both are styles we aren't very interested in) and then my husband and I wanting a complete party mode club feeling. Sean managed to mix all three of these styles as well as some classic hits to keep our dance floor packed all night! He knew when to play each song and when it was time to transition. You know someone has talent when your 83 year old granddad who has no idea what songs are playing, comes up to you and says, "oh this is groovy, let's get down". I could go on and on about how perfect our music was and the fantastic atmosphere that Sean created for all of our guests at our wedding, but that could get boring. At the end of the day if you are looking for an affordable, caring, quick response communicator, an attention to details kind of DJ look no further. Sean is the best and amazing to work with. I promise that you will not be disappointed. I recommend him to all my client’s and would trust him with my wedding all over again and again.

I love Sean! He did an amazing job. Although we were busy talking with our guests, everybody else was on the dance floor! I don't think there was a single time that there wasn't people dancing. He is also the MC for he night, he is very precise in what he does and has tons of experience under his belt. I don't think anybody else could do what he does. He thought of things that I wouldn't have even remembered to ask! He meets with you twice at least and is available at any time! He makes everything so flawless and I love the way his website is set up. It makes picking music so easy. Even if you dont know the name of the artist, if you give him the type of music you want he knows exactly what you want. I would love to go to another wedding with Sean as the DJ.

Sean with ATX DJ was absolutely amazing.. professional, honest, helpful. We could not have asked for a better mix of music. We told Sean what kind of music we wanted for different events of the night and he chose the perfect songs. We met before the wedding and picked out specific songs of course, but everything else I left up to him and he nailed it. Everybody had an amazing time and the dance floor was never empty. I am going to recommend him to DJ at my brother's wedding (which hopefully he proposes soon!).

The dance party component of our wedding was very important to us. We love music and love dancing and wanted the dance floor to be an unforgettable part of the night for all our guests. We knew we wanted a DJ who would mix live and actively pick the best song to come next to keep the dance floor alive. Sean was EXACTLY that. We are so glad we chose him to DJ our wedding.

We met him in person about 6 months before our wedding and instantly knew he was the right person for the job. He understood that the music was super important to us and that we wanted over 3 hours of a full dance floor at our wedding reception! We met up with him a second time 2 days before our wedding. Sean wanted to make sure he understood our vision for the night. He was super organized and professional and asked all the right questions to ensure that he would give us what we were looking for. We were entirely confident after talking with him in person that he would do an amazing job. We really felt that he understood what we wanted and that he would make it happen.

Since we were kind of picky about our music, we chose most of the songs we wanted. Sean was able to mix our selected songs together seamlessly and effectively. The music in each part of the night was PERFECT. (We are beyond confident, though, that for couples not wanting to choose their own music, Sean would make excellent selections for them.)

As we hoped for, our dance floor was packed for over 3 hours! There wasn't a dull moment. Sean did an amazing job of reading the crowd and keeping people out there. Along with the dancing, he perfectly inserted the special songs we'd selected (like for the first dance, cake cutting, etc.). Everything was PERFECT. We've received lots of compliments from family members and friends about the wedding, and the most frequent compliment we've heard has definitely been: "Your DJ was awesome!"

Loved Sean. He was more than professional, did an amazing job, everyone had a great time.
Reasons why he is amazing:
1) Personal website is more than easy to use to add songs, restrict songs and get ideas for songs to use for first dance, introductions, etc.
2) Phone meetings (we live in Dallas) were very professional. Based on our selected songs, he quickly picked up on our vibe and knew exactly what songs we wanted.
a. We gave Sean some songs for each piece of the weddings (cocktail hour, dinner, etc) and he did an amazing job selecting songs to fill the times.
3) Knows the wedding industry. Had great ideas on songs to play for bridal party/bride entrance and exit. I did not have to research, he sent songs that were perfect.
4) His voice and announcing abilities. He is perfect at directing the wedding guests in a professional tone.

We live in Houston but got married in Austin which made it difficult to work with some vendors but not with DJ Sean! He Skyped with us, was flexible on meeting with us when we were in Austin and made it very easy to communicate our wants and desires for music at our wedding.

Our guests danced the whole night away - Sean was great at making sure people would get up and dance. He had great suggestions for what to play but also listened to us on what we wanted to have for our wedding. He also was wonderful at making all the announcements and help our day-of wedding coordinator coordinate all the events of the day.

The website he has helps you select your "love it", "like it", "hate it" songs so he can get an idea of what you like. If you aren't sure, he has plenty of suggestions to help out.

He is very friendly, professional, responsive, and was perfect day-of. He even checked in during the night to make sure we were ok with how things were going. He worked well with all of our vendors which was a huge plus.

If we ever need DJ services in the Austin area again, we will definitely use DJ Sean!

DJ Sean was the BEST! I had compliment after compliment on how great the music was at our wedding! He is a beyond cool guy, who takes the time to get to know you, your guests, and what you want for your wedding. He is professional and personable at the same time, and will keep your dance floor covered all night long!! We met DJ Sean at a Starbucks for the first time (after having met several other DJ's and not being overly impressed). Right after we knew he was who we wanted to DJ our wedding! The DJ has a HUGE impact, since he is the one who communicates most with your guests during the night. He kept everyone well informed, and for the first of 3 weddings in my family, my mom finally made it to the dance floor to watch the cake be cut and the bouquet be tossed. DJ listened to what we wanted, played great music all night, and has the best personality of any DJ I've ever come across! You will NOT be disappointed with him! He may cost a little more than some other DJ's in the San Antonio/Austin area but he was WELL WORTH IT!!! I would choose him over and over again!

Sean Alan is a rare find in the wedding DJ world: he's very professional and responsible, while also being charismatic and not the least bit cheesy. Oh, and he seemingly knows every song ever written and the exact right moment to play it. Good DJs aren't just about the music--they're the glue that keeps the whole night moving as it should. He worked seamlessly with the caterer and the coordinator to make sure we were on schedule with no downtime party fouls. And he's extremely flexible in terms of how much or how little input he has on song selection, which was very important to my husband. Both of us were blown away, and so were our guests--everyone from my three-year-old niece to my mom was in love with him--and dancing!

We hired Sean to DJ our wedding in Austin in April, and I can't say enough great things about him!

He was completely professional, organized, and dedicated to making our wedding perfect. We did not hire a wedding planner or even day of organizer, but we really didn't have to . . . Sean took the lead in terms of planning/emceeing our night and took it upon himself to coordinate activities with our photographers and caterers. He kept us on schedule, kept our guests entertained with great music on the dance floor, and overall was such a nice guy. Very highly recommended!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Sean. He is absolutely amazing! He was the DJ for my wedding this past April and I know I’m biased, but it was literally the craziest dance party ever. I had originally wanted a band but realized quickly it was way out of our budget. If I had it to do all over again with unlimited money, I would choose Sean every time. He had every single person, from the college kids to my 85 and 88-year-old grandmothers dancing the ENTIRE night up until the very last song, and we had a 4 hour reception! I even had people from the event across the hall (being dj’d by someone else) ask me who our DJ was because it was the craziest party they had ever heard. After we got our pictures back from the photographer I realized that half of that event actually crashed our wedding anyway…he’s really that good! I never realized how much of an important role the DJ plays in your wedding until the day finally came. He perfectly coordinated everything - he reminded the guests to come inside for dinner, made sure everything was set up for the entrance of the wedding party, toasts, and first dances, as well as the final send-off. Whenever I started to panic about little things he just told me to relax and go have fun and he would take care of it- and he did. He is so easy to work with and meets with you the week or so before to finalize all the details, such as first dances, songs that you definitely do or do not want played, the timeline… just everything. He really kept the party going and so many people have told us it was the best wedding they ever went to, and it’s really because of Sean! You cannot go wrong with him. He’s amazing. You won’t regret it!

Sean is such a great DJ, he was very thorough and professional, and assured me that he would keep the party going, and he did just that! Everyone loved the music and the atmosphere! It was such a great party.

There was a moment during the ceremony when our ring bearer was walking down the aisle and going so slow (he must have been nervous), he was taking forever! I heard our processional song coming to an end and freaked out at the thought of walking down the aisle to no music because the ring bearer had taken so long. While I started to panic inside, I peaked around the corner and saw Sean look at me, loop the song seamlessly, and then give me a thumbs up. It was such a reliving moment to know that he had everything under control, and the ceremony went on without a hiccup.

Looking back on that moment, it's so funny that the ring bearer took so long, but in the moment I was so glad that Sean saved the ceremony! Thank you! Lexi & Jim Rourke

We used DJ Sean for our wedding reception this past fall. We found him to be highly professional, easy to work with, and very good as what he does.

From the start of the process he is easy to talk with and we found him to be a genuinely nice guy. We got together several times to get acquainted with each other and to select music for the event, which was something he was very helpful with. The week of the event we corresponded again for final details and he informed us that he was feeling a bit under the weather. As a precaution Sean said that he would therefore bring a DJ from town that he has worked with in the past as a backup, just in case his voice went out. It turned out his voice was fine and the other DJ was not needed but we thought it showed his professionalism to not only bring a backup (at no additional cost of course) but also being honest about the situation and mentioning it beforehand rather than springing this kind of thing on us come wedding day.

As for the reception itself we and our guests all had a great time. We were originally concerned about the amount of dancing that our guests would do (or not do). But Sean kept the event moving, lively, and fun for everybody. An Aunt and Uncle that didn’t dance at their own son’s wedding were dancing much of the evening at our reception and had a wonderful time. Sean helped ensure that the entire evening came together as planned and stayed on track timing wise, etc.

We would have no reservations when recommending DJ Sean for your wedding reception.

We went with Sean at ATX DJ and let me assure you, we couldn't have been happier with our choice! We struggled with finding vendors that we felt great about since we were planning our wedding long-distance, but Sean's reviews alone speak for themselves. As soon as we began communicating, we were thrilled at his music playlist, and planning options for the entire wedding/reception. Now for the reception, I don't know that I can emphasize this enough, but every single person in attendance was on the dance floor, and not just for one or two songs, but for the ENTIRE night! I've never honestly had a music playlist that amazing, or a DJ that reacted better to a crowd and mixed it up when necessary. There were times I was tired and wanted to sit down but the music was so incredible we literally found ourselves unable to leave the dance floor! He even stayed past his required time to be extra nice to us:) We'd gladly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible DJ in the Austin area, and we'd go with hiim again and day!

Sean Alan the ATX DJ is AMAZING! He worked with us so hard to get all of our songs and the timeline of our wedding organized so the reception flowed perfectly. Sean did a great job under pressure too - there were a few problems with getting our food out on time that ended up affecting the dance and cake cutting order, all of which was no fault of his own, and he came in and worked his magic to switch up the timeline and keep the fun going at our reception while our guests waited. He even came over to help calm me (the bride) down while all of this was happening, and I was so impressed that he took the time to do that. The organization of his website is great - it allows for you to find and choose songs easily, and he even worked with us the day before our wedding to go over our timeline and help us tweak the areas where he thought there might be an issue. He is so knowledgeable when it comes to music and a wedding timeline and knows what will be a good and a bad idea for your reception (ie..having an open mic toasting period - we were going to do this and he said that sometimes it does not turn out so well for the bride and groom, so we decided against it). He completely understood the "theme" of my playlist after I had told him a few songs I liked and everyone had so much fun dancing to what he played that evening. Sean also provided the lighting at our reception and it would not have been nearly as beautiful without it. He is a very experienced DJ and I can guarantee that he will do an incredible job at your wedding. Sean is a great DJ, but he's more than that! First off, we are not from Austin and we wanted to meet with Sean before signing a contract. Well, we were about 2 hours later because of traffic, and he was very professional about it. Even though the meeting went much later than he planned, he never made us feel rushed.

We also had a number of Skype meeting since it is hard to get out to Austin all the time. He was always very accommodating.

The day of the wedding was great. Sean set up all of the equipment as needed and I didn't have to worry one bit. We had a specific setup and he understood our vision. The entire party was about the music and dancing, and he definitely kept us on our feet all night.

At the wedding his experience really comes through. I've never seen a DJ sense and adjust to a audience the way he did. Everyone from our young and rowdy guests to our older relatives had so much fun because of Sean. He also did an amazing job controlling the flow of our wedding as well. Our timeline was a little less traditional with an awkward structure and also had some big changes while it was going on. I have to admit I was most nervous about having the right music for our guests. My family loves to dance but my husband's guest were much more formal and there was a wide age range among our guests too. Sean was absolutely AMAZING! He put me right at ease, was very attentive and I truly felt he listened to me and understood what we wanted and needed! He made sure the music flowed and had the right tone/mood for every stage of the night from ceremony to the last dance. He had helpful suggestions, but was not overbearing and was sincerely concerned about making our vision come to fruition. We had a friend sing our the song for our first dance and with Sean's help it went off without a hitch! I can honestly say choosing Sean was one of the best decisions for our wedding! I hope we get to work together again, maybe at an anniversary celebration! One more thing and Sean will tell you this, he is very in touch and will adjust dance music to make sure the guests are enjoying themselves, so you don't have to worry about that on your special day!

We could not have been more impressed by Sean. We planned our wedding from out of town and only spoke to him over the phone before we met him for the first time at our wedding. I know, it sounds crazy but for out of town brides, if you need to book a DJ and aren’t able to meet him before you book, you can trust that you will be very well taken care of with Sean. He is professional, responsive and pays attention to your style and the vibe you are going for with the music for both the ceremony and the reception. We suggested a few songs for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing and he found other songs that fit right in with our preferences. To be honest, at first I was a little concerned about having a DJ provide ceremony music because I had always seen musicians do it. Unfortunately it wasn’t in the budget to hire musicians, but we could not have been happier with how Sean handled the music for our ceremony. He faded in and out at the perfect moment and it was seamless. During the reception, his song choices were awesome, appropriate and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. You won’t be disappointed if you book Sean for your wedding or any other event (even if you can’t meet him in person first)!

DJ Sean (ATX DJ) was awesome! He was the very first vendor we booked after we got engaged. Since we live in Houston- all of our vendors were decided on based on reviews. And we can truly say- he lived up to all of the great reviews he has. Sean was so quick to get back with us on any questions we had. Since we could not meet with him in Austin- we had a meeting over skype to discuss our wedding and music likes/dislikes. I can be short about DJ Sean. He is amazing. A real professional and that makes a difference on the big day. No stress when Sean is around. We met Sean through Skype the first times since we live in the UK and met 2 more times in Austin. He makes you feel like a very important customer and he means it. I have always heard that music could make or break a wedding reception and ours definitely MADE it!!! Sean with ATX DJ is INCREDIBLE! Not only is he an amazing communicator (which can be hard with crazy, stressed out brides, I'm sure) but he really knows what music will fit in and flow well during a reception. He knows what will get the guests and keep them dancing all night long... which made the night a blast! Since I was planning the wedding from out of town, I could not meet Sean face to face before I decided to book his services. We talked on the phone beforehand and had a great conversation but I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from him as a DJ. When my husband and I met him for the first time, he was so reassuring, professional, knowledgable, and enthusiastic. He wanted to make sure that we were happy and we couldn't be happier! He kept everything moving and flowing at the reception, acting as the MC. He made sure to play the types of music we asked for and he played GREAT songs that we hadn't even thought of! It was so fun to hear the surprises that he played. We really liked that he asked us beforehand about certain songs and our preference of if he played them or not. Sean was SO easy to communicate with. He looked great at the wedding as did his table and equipment. I would recommend him to anyone who needed a DJ for any event...especially a wedding.

The Terrace Club recommended Sean (ATX DJ), and I couldn't have been more impressed. Sean loves what he does, and it truly shows through his work. I met with him the week before the wedding and we went through all of the songs my husband and I decided we either absolutely loved and wanted or absolutely hated and didn't want played. Sean worked with me on choosing songs that would appeal to our two families (my family enjoys more country/ oldies and his family is more rock and roll). We had so many people on the dance floor, for the entire duration of the reception. I can't say how important it was to me that our guests enjoyed themselves, and I really feel that Sean's selections and ability to read the crowd played a key role in everyone having so much fun. He even played my parents wedding song and dedicated it to them. That meant so much to them (and to me). His professionalism and extensive knowledge of music is above the rest. We will definitely be contacting him for our next event.

From the moment Sean and I met DJ Sean, we were in love, lol. We felt like we knew him forever and had a strong feeling our wedding would be great with him at the helm (of the speakers). And we were right. My husband and I live in the DFW area and even though DJ Sean was a few hours away in Austin, the planning process was seamless. He was very responsive and had wonderful suggestions. He is also very professional. Sean and I commented on how handsome DJ Sean looked in his suit on our wedding day. And he was genuinely invested in our day, as if we’d been friends for ages. It was a perfect fit. My parents were a bit concerned with who we got to DJ our wedding because they are from the Caribbean and wanted to be sure their culture was honored. That was not a problem. My mother was singing DJ Sean’s praises for days after the wedding!! And not only was the music great but he was also a great MC. He was also very flexible and did his best to work with Sean and I to ensure our day would be the best. And that it was. We got so many compliments on the music at our wedding. Everyone was dancing, especially Sean and I. I don’t think we left the dance floor. The only thing I would change would have been to have DJ Sean for much longer than we did. We had the best time ever.

Sean did an amazing job at our wedding. He played everything we wanted him to play, and nothing we didn't. DJ Sean Alan helped make our wedding so special! He met with us at our convenience to get to know our music style so that he could make that come across at the wedding. Sean was amazing! For my wedding, I gave Sean complete control over the music because I trusted his experience. I think I selected a total of 7-8 songs for the entire night (that is a 5 hour wedding) and he rocked! His experienced helped him pick the right music for my crowd. We had a total of about 100 guests (it was a destination wedding) and oh my gosh - he had almost everyone on th dance floor nearly the entire night and I received so many compliments from my guests on how great the DJ was. I would highly recommend him because he will make your wedding awesome and will not add any stress to your day!!! Thanks again for everything!

I am so glad that I found Sean on Wedding Wire. I originally had another band lined up and I thought that they were overpriced. So I started looking around for other options. For me, the music is an extremely important part of the ceremony and reception because it sets a huge part of the ambiance. I contacted another DJ company and they were booked for Oct 9th but highly recommended Sean and forwarded my information to him. Once Sean got my information, he contacted me within 10 minutes which really impressed me. I knew in my gut that this was the DJ for me. Sean is so genuine and easy to talk with. We had a couple of phone consultations because I do not live in the Austin area and during these calls he gave me great suggestions and helped me think of things that I had not thought of ie a mic for the officiant, reception timelines etc. He will really help your wedding flow smoothly. He arrived on time the day of and took it from there. I got a lot of great comments from my family and friends about the music and his professionalism. Also, his website is very user friendly. To get a well-rounded playlist, I had several other friends and family members add to the playlist. There were some specific songs that I wanted ie processional songs that were piano solos, that were not on his playlist and he got them for me. So if you look at the playlist and don't see a song that you want, don't worry, he can get it for you. So, Sean did exactly what I wanted and created that great musical ambiance that I was looking for.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Sean. He was one of the most professional vendors we worked with and was always available to answer any questions we had. I really liked that we got to meet with him a few times before the actual wedding to talk about what we wanted out of our ceremony/reception. He was able to down load any songs we wanted and was great at recommending songs for various activities (cake cutting, anniversary dance). I really feel like he understood what my husband and I wanted out of the night and made that come true. I wanted a fun dance party and you better believe he had everyone up dancing, including my 85 year old grandfather. It was awesome! With all the stress that comes with planning a wedding, it was so nice to work with someone as professional and accommodating as Sean. He was punctual and took care of all the set up/take down involved with the event. The ceremony music went seamlessly and he played all the songs we wanted at the reception. It was very clear that Sean had a lot of experience DJ-ing weddings as he thought of things my husband and I hadn’t even considered (if we wanted our guests to be able to request songs, ways to keep people happy and on the dance floor, how to end the evening). He even let me get behind the turn tables and transition songs, one of my favorite memories from the reception. I would recommend ATX DJ without reservation. Sean was awesome.

Picking Sean as our wedding DJ was a no brainer for the minute we met him. Sean is extremely responsive, professional and absolutely loves what he does. When we first scheduled an appointment, we met Sean at his house and he was so excited to show off his DJ skills. I was sold after hearing him DJ! He's DJ-ed his fair share of weddings, so he knows what works and what doesn't work. I loved that he shared his opinion of what would keep the dance floor full and what wouldn't. During our planning sessions, Sean had great ideas whenever I needed help picking a song (e.g. garter toss, bouquet toss, etc).

On our wedding day, Sean was amazing. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Sean arrived on time with everything he needed. Our wedding venue created a wedding timeline for us that Sean followed spot on (he would have created a timeline for us had our venue not already provided it). He came to us when it was time for the cutting of the cake, the toasts, the garter toss, etc. It was such a relief to have someone tell you where to be at the time you needed to be there rather than worry about watching the time.

Another thing that was absolutely great, is that we didn't notice Sean. You notice a DJ when they are too chatty or when they're playing terrible music. Sean was professional the entire night and played a great selection of music. Our wedding guests thoroughly enjoyed the music - the dance floor was always full, there was a dance off, the best man took his shirt off, my parents who have NEVER danced, danced for the first time EVER!

Sean was a great pick. We could not have been happier.

Sean of ATX DJs was the best DJ that I've ever seen at any event and I'm so happy that he DJ'd my wedding! He was super professional and really good about meeting multiple times with my groom and I to go over ceremony and reception music. At the reception he did an amazing job making sure that all of our special requests got played and that everyone kept dancing. We are still, three weeks later, having guests from our wedding coming and telling us that we had the most fun wedding they'd ever been to and how great our DJ was. I'm recommending him to all of my friends getting married!

Sean was wonderful. We weren't able to find a DJ in San Antonio, so we reached out to the Austin area for one. Sean was eager to meet with us to ensure that we woud mesh. He brought his laptop and was very versed in his music knowledge. He was pleasant to work with and really went above and beyond in what we paid him for. He was able to keep our wedding on track and was constantly keeping track of us to ensure we were liking the music or changing it when we wanted him to. I highly recommend Sean for a wedding DJ.

Sean is wonderful! He was professional, fun, and always responded quickly when we contacted him. I would highly recommend him--he was a wonderful part of our wedding day!! He was kind and energetic--and well-organized!

Wow! Sean did great work! We wanted to have the bridal party introduced at the reception with music and a script of "what to say" as each couple entered the room. He was fantastic, his professionalism and communication skills are awesome. We let Sean pretty much run the whole show and everyone enjoyed the music and the dancing!Thanks Sean for making our Wedding Day just perfect.

We LOVED working with Sean. Originally we were going to have one of his partners DJ our wedding as he was booked on our date, but we ended up having Sean instead - and I\'m so glad we did! Sean was exactly the kind of DJ we wanted - always there gauging the mood of the party, but only getting \"on the mic\" when necessary to move things along. Sean was quick to respond to correspondence and made some really helpful suggestions when we met with him prior to the wedding. Our wedding was a big dance party because of him! :) Great service for great value - I definitely recommend ATX DJ!
