I found Karen and Ed on wedding wire, liked the reviews so I checked out their pictures. They were stunning! After emailing them and making sure they were in my budget, they were hired! They were so responsive to any and all emails. They were friendly and detail oriented. Come wedding day, they showed up early, and stayed to the very end (even though this was over their contracted time). During the wedding they were courteous but everywhere, snapping pictures right and left. The specific shots I wanted were obtained and there wasn't a snag in the day. Come 3 months later when the picture slide show arrived - were were over the moon of how they turned out! The next day, an online site with all our pictures was emailed to us, then the next day, a box with a USB with all our pictures.
The quality of the pictures is amazing. They have great techniques in lightening, positioning, and capturing moments that will be treasured forever.

Karen and Ed were very professional and fun throughout the process. We selected them based on style and the fact we did not want any cheesy text book wedding shots. Our wedding was a destination wedding, so I was a bit nervous about who I was hiring in all aspects of my wedding. Karen and Ed confirmed for me very early on that I had made the correct decision for our wedding photographer!! They were very interested in getting to know my now husband and I. Prior to hiring them, I spent costless hours online and talking to multiple different photographers and looking at lots of pictures. Photography was one of the most important things for my wedding day. I LOVED their artistic ability and the way they work with lighting, it is displayed so brilliantly in their photographs. Karen and Ed were also quick at responding our emails and answering all our questions! They fully exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond what I was expecting from any wedding photographer. And then when my hair and makeup person backed out on me a couple weeks before our wedding day they recommended an AMAZING one and saved the day!!! They made my wedding day very stress-free and relaxed!! Thank you for making one of the happiest days of my life so wonderful!! Atrero Photography recently shot our engagement session and wedding day! When we first asked if they would be able to make a trip to Las Vegas, I had my fingers crossed knowing how far in advance they book AND if they would be willing to travel. I can't tell you how relieved and excited we were when they said "Yes!" All of our photos have been truly AMAZING and we always hear how much our friends and family love the work they see from Atrero Photography!Atrero Photography recently shot our engagement session and wedding day! Karen and Ed are an amazing couple to work with and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. They are true artists and takes photography to another level. Not only are they extremely professional, they have such easy going personalities that they just make you feel calm. They're extremely responsive but are not intrusive. They're very stress free people and loved loved their personalities. Of course, their work speaks for itself. We searched for various photographers and there are definitely diva photographers out there. You don't want to deal with additional stress of managing your vendors. I can't wait to see our final pictures and we feel extremely lucky to have found them!Karen and Ed are an amazing couple to work with and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. One of the best wedding vendors I've had the pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them not only to my family and friends but for those looking for a wedding photographer. What can I say their work speaks for themselves!!! They produce nothing but spectacular and beautiful photos. The lighting is impeccable and their photos scream “creativity and style,” resulting in just amazing photos. To top it all off, Ed and Karen are very easy to work with. They get to know their clients and their personalities which show in the photos. Lastly, they genuinely care about the needs of their clients, which was a big bonus for us. One important aspect you need when it comes to capturing all the emotions and memories that happen throughout your special day is a good wedding photographer. My wife and I had been looking for the perfect wedding photographer to do this for us and there was no doubt that ATRERO were the ones who came to mind! Ed and Karen have a great eye for lighting and are very creative when using the scenery around them. Our engagement session was in downtown San Diego and we had so much fun walking around shooting. We felt like America’s next top models shooting in alleyways, cargo entrances (with Ed’s best friend Eric lol), and at the Analog Bar. They make you feel comfortable and are very easy to work with. They treat you like family unlike other vendors who just treat you as their customer. You really can't get anyone more fun, creative, and professional than Ed and Karen. They are top notch. The pictures speak for themselves. My husband and I could not be happier! Our family and friends are so impressed and amazed with all of our pictures. The hubby has a bad reputation of ruining pictures and he looked quite dashing. =) Ed and Karen did a beautiful job at capturing all of the emotion, details, and everything in between. They are definitely worth the investment and then some!You really can't get anyone more fun, creative, and professional than Ed and Karen. They are top notch. The pictures speak for themselves. They were awesome photographers! 5stars for their personalities and their talent! We are extremely happy for the stuff we got from them ;) the only thing we would say is that, we waited a little too long to receive the wedding photos (2.5months?), so our guests were kind of tired of talking about it when we showed them, but other than that, they were very organized about their pricelist, and were very good at being in touch. If you want to impress your people, and want to be the COOLEST, we'll definitely recommand Atrero Photography!They were awesome photographers! 5stars for their personalities and their talent! Karen and Ed were perfect wedding photographers. They were very chill, flexible, easygoing, and approachable --- all without compromise to their services and talent.
We enjoyed keeping in touch with them through the planning process. We live in Las Vegas and only came to San Diego every month so or so they were definitely very flexible with timing and meetings.
I definitely recommend using their complimentary engagement session (dependent on package purchased) as a way to break the ice and so you can both get a feel of personalities and style.
On the day of Ed, Karen, and their assistant Desiree were on hand to ensure that every detail was photographed. It was a very hot day in October but they kept pressing on! The team had a list ahead of time for which formal shots we wanted. One thing I recommend (and it's my fault for not doing so) is to also provide a list or idea of what kind of non-formal shots you'd like.
They were able to get the products (highlights video, online gallery and USB) to us within 2 months which is very timely for this service. The photos were beautiful and just our style. We were tired of seeing the same ole' cookie cutter wedding photos and wanted something more. We reviewed a dozen wedding photographer websites that were either recommended to us or randomly found on the web. BOOM - Enter the Atreros! Their portfolio was stunning and my occular nerves twitched. Their pictures made statements, they knew how to use space and freeze time.
We immediately booked them one month into our engagement. The fiance was elated and could not contain her excitement (she was already planning what to do with her hair/makeup/and yadda yadda!)
Fast forward 3 months and imagine an Alice in Wonderland themed venue for our engagement shoot (which of course the very creative Atreros recommended): Umbrellas hanging from the ceilings, green grass on the walls, dim lightining and oodles of deep hues to satisfy our quest for a unique backdrop. Ed & Karen knew exactly where to position us and at times we wondered how it would all be captured.
Our session turned out to be not only an engagement shoot, but also an excursion with good people and good food. They were so down to earth and seemed to have really listen to our ideas. It was great to see our imagination come to fruition through the lenses of the Atreros.
