Fantastic!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with the atmosphere Indy team, especially Renee! They did the decor for all our events for our Indian wedding earlier this year. They coordinated the decor for all 4 events fantastically, in addition to making made each of the different venues look stunning, stylish and classy! I received so many compliments on the same. They are definitely busy and it may take a little while for them to get a response from but do NOT worry, they always get back to you and do a fantastic job! Renee went over the details of all the events with me and my family in full detail multiple times prior to the weekend and the team is always willing to work with you on your needs, They are also very reasonably priced, had the venue and decor ready ahead of the scheduled time and honestly, gave me no reason to worry the wedding weekend. Again, I highly recommend their fantastic efforts and hope to work with them again in the future!

Refund process

Renee was very gracious with the cancellation of our event. Most companies did not offer refunds but this company worked with us and we do appreciate it. Good people and would highly recommend.

Beautiful work

We are renting farm tables for our wedding and are so excited for the look it will add to our space. They have been super helpful and supportive every time I call with my ideas. Their work is inspiring and beautiful!

They Can Do Anything!

As a planner and designer, I have worked with Renee and Gregg at Atmospheres Indy several times throughout the past several years. They are so creative and have such an incredible sense of how to design for weddings and events. They always have the best attitudes and there is literally nothing they cannot do. I don’t think I have ever heard them say, “No, we can’t do that.” It is always, “YES, we will make or create this.” They really know how to make someone’s vision become reality. I highly recommend Atmospheres Indy!

True professionals with a creative edge

Atmospheres Indy, under the leadership of Greg and Renee, helped us create the perfect ambiance for our themed fundraising event. From the initial consultation with their talented designers, to the efficiency and attention to detail from their set-up crew, Atmopsheres Indy was a major factor in the evening's success. Despite what I know was a packed schedule for their crew, they were gracious enough when I changed my mind on the positioning of a display, to change it for me at the last minute. More than a vendor, they were a part of our team... as invested in the success of my event as if it were their own.

My husband and I, along with our families, were so impressed with the setting Atmospheres Indy helped us to create for our wedding. The artful draping for the ceremony blended beautifully with the existing landscape and perfectly framed the moment we exchanged vows. They also created for us a custom frame that allowed us to display our personal collection of travel magnets!

One of our favorite aspects was the element of lighting, both the warm glow overhead as our guests dined al fresco on the terrace and the colorful illumination of the dance floor.

Gregg & Renee did an amazing job decorating for our Indian/American wedding. They did a gorgeous job with the mandap and flipping the ceremony room for the reception in an hour! Don't hesitate to book these guys! They are wonderful.

Atmospheres Indy did the lighting for our reception. We had a standard banquet room and wanted to add something special to make the whole evening feel beautiful and romantic. The banquet hall did not have an extensive lighting selection, and our DJ had an overwhelming amount options for an equally overwhelming price. We were not allowed to use candles at the banquet hall but we wanted to create that kind of effect. Working with Renee at Atmospheres Indy was easy and the result of her talent and creativity was breathtaking. The word we heard most often to describe our wedding was "Beautiful". It's true that spending part of your budget on lighting can create a beautiful mood, much more than paper decorations in my opinion. Atmospheres Indy will work with you to create whatever mood you like within your budget. They also handle all of the set up and clean up so there is one less thing you have to worry about. Great impact and a great value!

The backdrop to my Ceremony was the most gorgeous thing I had seen. It went from a typical hotel ballroom, to a beautiful space. I loved how it turned out, and everything that was promised was delivered! I work in the Wedding industry, and have used Atmospheres a few times for different events. Using them for my own, was definitely the right decision. Great staff and easy to work with! Will definitely recommend to clients and friends!

Atmospheres took a venue that I hated and turned it into a place that was more beautiful than we could have imagined. A manager at the venue said it was the best they had ever seen that space.

Atmospheres Indy did a great job hanging the twinkle lights, lanterns, and draping for my tent wedding at the Indianapolis Zoo. They turned a boring white tent into a little bit of luxery. The pricing was quite economical for the amount of work performed and they helped me come up with a design that maximized my budget.

We needed a chuppah for our daughter's wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. We called many vendors with no luck and then heard about Atmospheres Indy. They could not have been nicer or more professional to deal with. Everything was perfect!

Renee met with my daughter several months prior to the wedding. She listened to what was wanted and provided several options and sketches. Once the plan was in place, she executed it beautifully. The venue was decorated as planned and everyone LOVED the work! Her professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding. I would recommend them again and would use them again myself for any event.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! They over delivered on my expectations! I felt like a princess in a fairytale when I walked into my reception hall. They did my ceiling, up-lighting, and my bridal party table back drop! It was fantastic! I will recommend them to anyone who wants their atmosphere to look as they have imagined it. They were timely, responsive, and very willing to make my wedding day a dream come true!

Atmospheres Indy understood the image that we wanted created. It was a ballroom wedding which we wanted to have a garden feel. They placed 4 willow trees for the ceremony with the chandelier that the bride wanted. It was a beautiful setting. They added up lighting and small pots with twigs with light around the outside of the room which twinkled during the evening of dancing. Their work made the room sparkle.

Renee Carstens not only has an eye for combining colors and textures, she has an ear that is always open to client's ideas & imagination. I felt that Renee could understand my vision and personality, and it came through on our beautiful, beautiful wedding day. Renee even express-ordered a key fabric when the color we needed wasn't readily available, at no extra expense to us.
Greg is exceptionally accommodating as well as highly professional and adept at making things work. Even my parents (and their friends!) were impressed at the elegant structure he created.

SIMPLY THE BEST!!! When my fiancee and I started planning our wedding it was going to be held at an indoor venue. I contacted Renee at Atmospheres, and she personally went to the venue to take measurements for the alter space and came up with a proposal. She provided specific pricing and descriptions, in a prompt and professional manner. Three weeks before my wedding date we had to change the location of our wedding to a tent in our backyard. When I contacted Renee again asking if it would be possible to scratch what she had proposed before, and start all over, she didn't hesitate agree to change our decor. Again, Renee and her husband Gregg personally came to my home and took measurements and got an idea of the style we were looking for. They provided drawings and detailed costs, and allowed us to pick and choose the things we wanted to incorporate. Once I saw the drawings they brought to life it was even more beautiful than I imagined it would be. Renee and Gregg came and set up everything 2 days prior to my wedding and even came and took everything down. They are very reliable, professional, and wonderful people to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend Atmospheres for your next event.

Renee and her team saved the day by providing last minute draping to cover some very offensive artwork at our reception venue! Great to work with. Very responsive. The work they did changed the entire feel of our reception location and really made it feel warm and beautiful!

We worked with Greg and Renee to provide a backdrop, some ceiling swags, and some perimeter lighting. The room looked beautiful! My only disappointment was after we had booked them, we did find lighting for much less.

Drapes were perfect, but don't email

Atmosphere Indy helped us with drapes at the Scottish Rite Cathedral for our wedding this month. The drapes themselves were beautiful and the perfect addition to our wedding reception.
The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, was responsiveness. This group seems to be a group that knows what they're doing but don't communicate it well. If you want to get a response, email is not an option. You will need to call if you have questions, but other than that they answered all my questions and on the day of the wedding, the drapes were there and looked amazing! I'd recommend if you're not afraid to give them a call to check in!

Be very detailed when giving your vision and keep in constant communication with this vendor. Atmospheres did a great job on the lighting and ceremony site for my wedding, but when it came to the reception the main part of my design was wrong. Out of all of my decor, this was the one thing I was worried about and I was correct to be. It looked nothing like I thought I had clearly described to their team. On the day of my coordinator and florist were shocked, as it was nothing like I had described to them either. I think if they would have done the correct design the quality and execution would have been good, but it was a huge let down. Be as detailed as possible when describing what you want!

This is your sign not to hire them

Whatever you do, hire someone else. These people have no regard for your wedding or anyone other than themselves. They decorated my best friend's wedding for the WRONG WEDDING and then refused to take any calls or refund them. Pathetic. Please do your research and run far away from this place.

Almost ruined my wedding day

Brides - RUN. I hired Atmospheres for my wedding last month and they decorated my ceremony completely wrong, it was like it was for someone else's wedding. The day of the wedding my coordinator and I tried to reach them several times and they refused to answer the phone. We had specific notes shown in the invoice for white flowers, greenery, fall colors and no draping. I showed up to bright orange and bright purple flowers with drapes that looked like they were just tossed over everything. Thankfully I had a wonderful family friend who was able to redecorate it in time but you can imagine how upsetting it was as the bride to see on my wedding day.
Fast forward a month, I have tried to get a refund for this entire debacle, which I over paid for in the first place, and now the owner is "super sick" and hasn't been able to click a few buttons to refund me.
Please trust me and save yourself, hire someone else in the Indy area, there are much better options. Almost ruined my wedding.

Poor Service

Delivered my lighting to the wrong venue and then refused to pay back the money once they acknowledged their mistake. As a Indy native very disappointed in this service and recommend using another company. Poor customer service and very disingenuous people that don’t care about how they treat others.

Don’t use this company for anything! They promised us custom lighting and didn’t deliver, then didn’t provide any refund for a non working product they delivered. Terrible company, terrible people. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

Don't use them!

I really hate to post this being a small business owner myself, but I feel it would do a disservice to anyone considering this company if I didn't share my experience. We hired Atmospheres Indy to drape sheer fabric and twinkle lights from the ceiling at our wedding venue, the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Unfortunately, 3 of the 6 strands of lights didn't work by the time the reception started. The wedding coordinator at the IMA called Atmospheres and they didn't want to return to troubleshoot. I get that; it was a Saturday night and certainly last minute notice. She called the IMA maintenance crew out and they worked so hard to get them on. They ran extension cords to other outlets to see if maybe it was the outlet they were plugged into (no luck). Finally, she told me it was no use and they had found by process of elimination that it was the strands themselves that were burnt out, faulty, etc. We ended up shutting off all the twinkle lights since having random strands on and random ones off looked silly. I was really bummed; it wasn't the aesthetic I had hoped for. I kept picturing beautiful ambient light during the reception, but that's not what we got. I still understood, stuff happens you can't control. I'm sure Atmospheres didn't intend for the lights to not work. HOWEVER, and this is why I'm writing this review, if you don't deliver the service/product agreed upon, then I shouldn't have to pay full price. They charged me $2,366. I called them after the wedding and asked if refunding me half of what I paid sounded fair to them (since I got half of what I paid for - fabric was beautiful, lights not so much). They said no. After lots of back and forth and lots of phone calls, we agreed they would refund me $500. That was almost a year ago. I got the "Oh I thought we sent that" and the "Oh, my accountant must've forgot to send it" and the "Oh we must've sent it to the wrong address" run around. This is if you can even get a hold of them. I've just given up now. I'm so disappointed in the situation, and in them as human beings. Just a really, really bad way to run your business and to treat customers. I would not, under any circumstance, hire this company again. And after reading other reviews, I'm definitely not alone. Stay clear of these people!

Don’t use!!

Friends had lights show up that didn’t work, they asked three months in advance for drawings and never got any. Vendor wouldn’t refund them on lights the venue put up prior to the wedding. Terrible comapny, and they won’t respond!

**never use this vendor**

We hired them for our wedding. We never saw a drawing of what we were going to get even after asking multiple times. They show up and the lights we ordered didn’t even work?! But we still had to pay for them?! Then they tried to take away other lights to light up the lights that didn’t work... luckily our wedding planner caught this! On top of this the wedding venue, The Builtwell, installed outdoor lighting before the wedding which we were going to have Atmosphere install for $750. We tried to get this refunded because The Builtwell put them in before hand but they wouldn’t refund us anything... We have met with the owners now twice and he has said he will get us something but he never gets back to us. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
