The Best of the Best!

Angela is extremely professional from the consultation stage to delivering the final product. She photographed our engagement photos in Cleveland; we had such rave reviews on them that we had to have her for our wedding in Michigan. They came out better then expected. She and her team (Mark) were so great, patient, and creative the entire wedding day from getting ready to dancing at the reception. She's the best in the business and will always be the first choice & first recommendation to photograph the special life moments!!!

Would Give 10 Stars If I Could!

Working with Angela was one of the best wedding decisions I made. She is experienced, communicative, easy to work with, and INCREDIBLY talented. My jaw dropped when we first received our "sneak peek" photos. She gave us amazing photo recommendations along with alternative options in case it rained. Extremely professional and went above and beyond across the board. Aster and Olive will not disappoint!

Stunning Photography

My husband and I were so lucky to work with Angela and Mark. Both were incredibly thorough in capturing every single detail of our day, and they also made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera. They also identified gorgeous locations for our photos that were unique to us and felt so special. We were blown away when we received our gallery. Each photo was absolutely stunning and felt like a piece of art. The whole gallery told such a beautiful story from start to finish about the day. We cannot stop smiling and feel very lucky to have such beautiful memories.

So grateful!

My husband and I are so, so grateful that we were able to work with Angela on our wedding day. Angela has been a total professional and pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, from initial conversations, to day of, and even the weeks following our wedding. Angela did an incredible job of immediately putting me at ease the day of our wedding - she's the ultimate hype girl! I can't even begin to express how happy we are with our photographs and how incredibly gorgeous they all turned out. Angela and our second shooter, Mark, captured every moment so perfectly - they are incredibly talented individuals. Our friends and family continue to rave about our photography, and our parents were so incredibly jazzed about receiving photo albums for Christmas. Go with aster + olive!

It was the absolute best decision to have Angela as a part of our wedding day! My husband and I are not spotlight people; we generally steer clear of big crowds staring at us and we're both pretty awkward about getting our photo taken. When I first reached out to Aster + Olive, we planned to have a small weeknight wedding, but felt it was important to have some nice "proof" of the day. We still weren't thrilled about posing for photos, but felt we would regret it if we didn't have photos to look back at. Angela's response was enthusiastic, warm, guiding and understanding. She answered all of our questions before we could even think of them. We left the conversation feeling like Angela "got" us; more than that, maybe we might be excited to have our photo taken. Fast forward through a pandemic, re-configuring and re-scheduling our day more than a few times, we decided to elope in our friend's backyard. Angela periodically checked in with us, ensuring she could still be part of our day and still cheering us on. On the day of, Angela walked the venue with us, helping us pick the spot where we would get married (I forgot to mention we're also terribly indecisive!) and just made us feel comfortable. She's easy to talk to, made us laugh on more than several occasions and never posed us in any way that didn't feel like "us." We were so grateful to have someone photograph us that made us feel understood and celebrated. When we received the link to our photos--well, it was the same: they perfectly told our story, celebrated who we are and how beyond happy we were that day. I cannot highlight enough how grateful I am that we prioritized a good photographer for our wedding—and that photographer could be Aster + Olive.

Amazing! Exceeded Expectations.

My fiancé and I absolutely loved our photos from Aster and Olive! We hired Angela to do our engagement shoot. She was super responsive from the very beginning. We loved her unique style. In all the photos we saw from her portfolio, nothing looked posed. I felt that she really captured each couples’ intimacy. It was just REAL. Still, we were nervous about what to expect when it came to our photo shoot because neither of us had been professionally photographed doing anything other than smiling at the camera. Angela made us feel super comfortable and confident. She was so sweet and encouraging and was able to get the best shots and angles. She exceeded our expectations and even had our edited photos to us early! We would have hired her for our wedding but we are doing destination!

Stunning wedding photos and experience with Angela

I could not have asked for a better photographer or photography experience during our wedding! Angela and her team were extremely professional and flexible in working with us to capture the gorgeous shots on our wedding day!

With the Indian wedding ceremony Angela captured all the important shots of the ceremonies, making sure to capture all the details perfectly. Her eye for detail and unique shots is unmatched, giving us beautiful moments on camera.

Our candids with family and friends have an authentic, magical quality about them which we will treasure for a long time. Aster + Olive's aesthetic is very unique among wedding photographers and overall working with Angela was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

A true artist with incredible attention to detail.

Angela is fantastic to work and we could not be more thrilled with our wedding photos.

Aster & Olive’s aesthetic is distinctive and unique, and truly sets Angela apart from other wedding photographers. While capturing all of the traditional elements of our wedding, Angela’s creativity and attention to detail captured more than we could have dreamed. The candids of our friends and family, especially in moments we may have missed, are absolute treasures. Her photos are beautiful yet so incredibly authentic, capturing the genuine joy and emotion of the day.

Angela’s kind and fun personality kept us at ease, while her professionalism kept the day on track and helped avoid any stress or worry on our part. She is a complete pro, giving us space to soak in the day when she could sense we were getting overwhelmed, but meanwhile capturing sweet moments without us even noticing.

Best Decision Ever!

Photography was one of our top items for our wedding- and hiring Angela was the best! From the moment she walked in, it felt like we were old friends. We've seen a few sneak peeks of our photos, and we are so excited to see the rest. She is so talented behind the lens and a genuinely kind human. At other weddings I've seen photographers grabbing photos from the edges of the dance floor, but Angela was right in the action! We are so thankful we hired her- she is the BEST!!!

Incredible Photographers!!

Jen and Mark shot at our wedding and they were truly so incredible to work with. Jen is insanely talented and her enthusiasm for her job is so obvious and she is such a good energy to have around during your wedding day! We spent most of our time out in the snow taking pictures and she was so excited and so good at guiding us to the perfect poses. We feel so so awkward taking pictures normally and she did the best job so we felt comfortable. We wanted pictures that captured the feelings of the day and she did just that. We didn't even bother hiring a videographer because I knew everything she captured would show the feeling and essence of the day. I can't stress enough to other brides, all you have when your short, fast day is over is your pictures. Invest in having an amazing photographer with you!!

Jen was our photographer and she was absolutely fantastic! I was very worried about the timing of events the day of the wedding. Jen was willing to meet with me a week prior to go over things and put my mind at ease. The day of the wedding ran very smoothly because she was able to keep us on track. She was very sweet, friendly and calming. Jen went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and we had a blast celebrating with her! When we received our photos, we were blown away! I was compelled to work with Angela based on what I saw of her candid shots - any photographer can stage a family photo but it's the little candid moments that you cherish and look back on. Six months after our wedding, I keep coming back to our photos, and I see different things every time - new details, new expressions on people's faces - she captured so much. Photography was my #1 non-negotiable detail surrounding the wedding process. We sat down with and "interviewed" many different photographers, but Aster & Olive was an instant match. After my husband and I met Jen for coffee, we both knew we'd found the person we wanted to be a part of our day. We were looking for a very specific style. We wanted our photos to capture a strong storytelling element as well as the small moments we wouldn't otherwise see the day of the wedding...and she did exactly that! She had this way of making us feel comfortable, was flexible, and we truly trusted her to do whatever she wanted creatively. During our engagement photos we experimented with prisms, and on our wedding day with colored smoke bombs. Our engagement shoot was amazing, the day of was amazing, we couldn't have asked for a better photographer!

Angela is truly a dream photographer. Not only is she incredibly warm and friendly, she has an amazing eye for detail and such a unique perspective - resulting in the most beautiful shots . Our wedding photos truly could not have turned out better. We ended up with the perfect collection of editorial/fine art shots, and fun-loving candid pictures. I am so thankful and lucky to have found THE ONE! I'm not talking about my husband, even though he's pretty great too. I mean Angela, and her company Aster & Olive. She captured a whole day of amazing images, even faced with obstacles like crazy weather and a hurried schedule. Through hail and snow (unexpected in mid-October!), she kept us calm and focused. She created beautiful compositions that have rich color and texture, but still seem fresh and modern. Her "2nd" photographer, Angelo, was able to capture even more moments that were slightly out of the spotlight, and some of those are the great surprises in the album. Angela is an excellent professional to work with, and an artist as well. I am so glad I chose Aster & Olive.

When we started searching for wedding photographers in the Cleveland area, it was somewhat hard to find the one that had that differentiating, uniqueness factor. That is until we came in contact with Angela from Aster & Olive Photography. As soon as I looked at Aster & Olive's portfolio online, I was completely blown away by the creativity and awe-inspiring photos. It screamed special! Every image spoke to me. I think it is very telling when you can see a photograph and actually feel something -- to really feel emotions. That is a sign of a moment not simply captured, but of memories made in a magical way -- and that is how Aster & Olive reveals the true depth of the biggest milestones in our lives. Jen was our awesome photographer on our wedding day -- I met with her several months in advance and immediately felt at ease and excited about everything. There was no need to go over any "must-take photo lists" or "top 15 poses" -- all that went out the window because I felt the high-level of professionalism and talent from Jen right away. They present photos that are far from ordinary. And from an organizational standpoint, I simply cannot rave enough! Angela and Jen reliably helped a lot with timing and figuring out the details. When it came to our wedding day, seeing Jen arrive helped me relax! She has this calming energy as she takes photos to the point where you just enter a zone of pure bliss. One of our favorite parts of the entire process was seeing our wedding get posted on the Aster & Olive blog -- they open the blog post with such lovely recaps of the day's events! It was so nice to see how Jen experienced our wedding day through her own perspective. It was really sweet and touching! The photos are beyond beautiful! Angela and her team helped make our wedding day extra special. She was great to work with. Flexible in stopping by the rehearsal dinner on Friday night and then captured all the moments of the big day. She is so friendly and helps make you feel comfortable during all the pictures. Angela was amazing from the very beginning of the process! After seeing her beautiful photos I knew that I wanted to work with her. I could not be happier with both the engagement and wedding photos she took which are beautiful and timeless. She truly captured the day in the most natural way. Given she is the professional I took her advice on many things and I am so glad that I trusted her because the results were amazing! It was a bit stressful since it was raining heavily throughout most of the wedding day, but Angela stayed positive and worked with us to find other options. Luckily the sun came out in the late afternoon and gave us the perfect window to take some spectacular photos. I cannot express enough how happy my husband and I are with the pictures of our wedding! It was very important to us to find someone who could capture our wedding in a way that was creative, beautiful, truly reflected who we are as a couple, and that’s exactly what Angela and her assistant delivered. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Aster & Olive for our wedding. While every aspect of the wedding is important, having a skilled photographer is paramount. Angela and her assistant (Angelo) not only met our expectations, but they exceeded them. The photographs are beautiful, and she did a fabulous job of capturing both the "traditional" style of pictures and the more candid and unique. Angela also met with us on numerous occasions so that she could get to know us. I truly think this was critical to her understanding us, the types of photos we wanted, and the overall theme we wanted. In sum, Angela was a true professional, and I would highly recommend her.

Angela and Ian at Aster & Olive did a fantastic job. I loved everything about my wedding day, and they captured that in photos that we will have forever to look back on and relive our day. Before we got our pictures back, I frequented her website to look at blog posts of past weddings they photographed. I started to get worried, thinking, "Ugh - there is no way my wedding will look as elegant as this one". Or, "I wish I had thought to ask her to pose me like that!". I shouldn't have ever given it a second thought... The photos turned out to be everything I had hoped for. They caught amazing candid moments.

My suggestion to any bride, regardless of photographer, is to look online at other professional wedding photos to get a sense of poses, combinations, any kind of photo you want to have on your day and write it down to give to the photographer. I did this for the pre-ceremony, but wish I had done it for post/reception.

All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend Aster & Olive. My fiance's (oops, HUSBAND's) two cents: "She made us look like models. No, seriously, we should be in a magazine!" :-)

Working with Aster & Olive for our special day was an absolute dream. From the moment we first connected she has been nothing short of wonderful. Our wedding day started with an ice storm and continued to rain the ENTIRE day, derailing some outdoor shots we had in mind. It really didn't matter, though. Angela and Jen were still able to create really perfect indoor shots that completely aligned with the aesthetic we were going for. I can't say enough how much we love our wedding photos!

What caught my attention about her work is the way she is able to capture ALL of the special moments and tender emotions of the day. She integrated herself seamlessly into the group, making being photographed all day feel effortless and natural.

Perfection. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Angela was one of the first vendors we met with after getting engaged and the first one we hired. Her prices were good, and she was incredibly flexible. Based on her portfolio, we knew Angela's aesthetic was what we were going for with our wedding.

We ended up paying for the full-day with an extra shooter, and it was absolutely worth it. Both photographers were on time. They were also easy to work with and never forced us to do anything we weren't comfortable with. Angela was incredibly organized, too. Not once we were concerned about her being on time or showing up at the wrong place.

As for the most important piece ... the pictures. Stunning. We couldn't be more pleased. The posed shots were great, but we think Angela did a particularly amazing job capturing all the candid moments. We think she caught every tear. Our wedding was in October, and we already got our photos back.

We'd recommend Aster & Olive to anyone. They were one of our favorite vendors we worked with. -- Tim and Erin.

Aside from picking the groom, choosing Aster & Olive Photography was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. Angela is creative, flexible and passionate about her art. Furthermore, she was personable, responsive and even made awkward pose-y moments so much more comfortable. Her photography style is both trendy and timeless; a truly difficult thing to master. I am so glad she was able to capture the memories of that day so perfectly and I look forward to reliving those memories for years to come!

Aster & Olive truly went above and beyond to capture every moment beautifully on our wedding day. Angela was so easy to work with, and a natural at connecting with people. She's extremely talented at creating a story with her pictures. When we received the album, it took me right back to every feeling from beginning to end on our special day. I had found Angela after visiting her booth at one of the local bridal shows in early 2013 and immediately fell in love with the wedding albums she had on display. My now husband and I met with her a couple weeks later and knew after our initial meeting she was going to be the one we wanted to capture our wedding day. We had a wonderful time during our engagement shoot with her in Chagrin Falls and after seeing our photos from that session we were excited for when the big day came. We also had her bring along a second photographer for the wedding day who did an awesome job as well. Angela and her team were wonderful to work with and the pictures we have from our wedding day created some priceless moments that we will forever cherish.

Angela is an amazingly talented photographer! I was over the moon excited when I saw how our engagement photos turned out. Simply beautiful. I didn't think it was possible to top them, but our wedding photos were even more stunning. She captured every moment I would have ever wanted and then some in beautiful detail. I love showing off our photos.
Working with Angela was a dream too. When other vendors were dropping the ball or forgetting appointments, Angela was incredibly responsive. She had great ideas and was completely receptive to my "no cheesy photos" request.
I would recommend her to everyone I know!

Angela is great! I did not want engagement pictures until I saw her work, and then had to have them! We had a rainy wedding day and still had amazing pictures. I wasn't worried for a second. She is very professional and has impeccable draw.

I went to every bridal show around and talked to a lot of people (I'm kind of an OCD researcher :) ) and I met Angela from Aster and Olive Photography at the Cleveland Bridal Bazaar. After looking through her galleries, pricing and meeting with her I was in love!!! She takes the best photos and offers great products. Her photos had the best lighting and the perfect amount of softness for our wedding. She also did our engagement photos and they were amazing! Everyone one of my family and friends have done nothing but rave about our pictures and have asked for her information so they can use her in the future. A lot of people I have spoken to said that one of their biggest regret was that they didn't have a great photographer on their wedding day or that the photographer wasn't open to travel and staying the whole day. I never had one issue with that. Angela was all about what worked for me and I LOVE everyone of my pictures! I am so happy I chose Aster & Olive Photography to capture this special time in my life! I recommend them to all the future bride's out there!

Angela and her assistant (whose name is unfortunately escaping me!) were absolutely spectacular photographers. We had done a small destination wedding out of state, and had a reception for our friends and family at the Tudor Arms a few weeks later.

I went to a small bridal fair in Cleveland, solely to watch my friend walk in a bridal show, and I stumbled on the Aster and Olive booth. I instantly loved their style. My husband is a professional photographer and was very picky when we were trying to select a photographer - however he was really impressed with what Angela did. She actually taught him a technique he hadn't seen before!

I've heard horror stories from other brides about not getting their photographs for months, sometimes a full year after their weddings - but Angela is on her game! We had our photos by the end of October and were able to show them to our very excited family members, who all loved them.

On the day of the shoot, Angela had places in the venue already scoped out to shoot, and she handled my massive family photo like a pro - we're a tough group to wrangle! She did a great job keeping everything moving and did not get frazzled by any of the chaos that undoubtedly comes along with a wedding.

Kudos to her, I'd hire her again in a second. We couldn't be more thrilled with our experience!

Angela was amazing! She even went out in a muddy pumpkin patch in between the freezing rain on our wedding day. It was so worth it. The photos were incredible!!!! Can't say enough good stuff. We even got our photos pretty fast after the wedding.

I would highly recommend Angela with Aster & Olive Photography for your wedding! I first met Angela at a bridal show and after taking 1 look at her pictures, I knew I had found my wedding photographer. My husband and I live in Columbus, so instead of driving back and forth or talking on the phone - Angela set up Skype meetings which was so great for our schedules! We booked an egagement session and the wedding right after our first meeting. Angela takes so much time to get the look and feel you want and we had our engagement pictures in a week, mailed in a pinterest perfect package!

For the wedding we had two photographers, one to stay with my husband and one to stay with me in the morning. Angela picks the second photographer but I had no doubt he/she would be less than perfect - and we were right! Angelo (yes, Angela and Angelo!) was absolutely incredible and the guys LOVED him too. I would truly recommend two photographers, they captured moments I would have never had the chance to see. Angela is super flexible too, because as wedding planning goes, schedules change. The week of my wedding we had to change my hair stylist and location. Angela went with the flow like the true professional she is.

When I was wedding planning someone gave me some great advice. They said, there are many ways to save money and cut corners when planning a wedding, but DO NOT make the mistake of cutting corners with your photographer. These pictures will be the only thing you have to remember a day that goes by much too quickly. I took that advice and hired Angela from Aster & Olive and I would do it again if I could because I have incredible pictures to illustrate a day I want to remember forever! Thank you again Angela - we were so lucky to find you!!

Angela was great to work with and a lot of fun! We were getting married in Cleveland, but lived out of state in Nevada. Instead of just playing phone-tag, she set us up for Skype meetings and they worked great! At our Wedding, she kept the atmosphere light during a stressful time! She was prompt, took a ton of pictures, shattered her deadline in getting us the DVD's, and even helped us by getting us some pictures early in a pinch when we needed them! The pictures turned out great. We used one that she features on her website for our Thank You card, and that was wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend Aster & Olive to any couples getting married in Cleveland!

Angela is very talented and we really enjoyed working with her from start to finish. Our wedding party raved about how organized and professional yet fun and friendly she was. That meant a lot to us considering they have been in other wedding parties and thought highly of Angela's expertise.

Angela and her partner worked really hard capturing every moment of our special day (and night) in order for us to relive the memories for the rest of our lives. It was absolutely amazing working with Angela at Aster & Olive Photography. She went over every detail of our wedding and what we wanted with us, answering every question and really preparing for the day. She was easy to get in touch with throughout the process. She and the other photographer were with us all day - from around 11am to 11pm - capturing every single moment of our day.

Every person that has looked at our pictures has commented on how wonderful they are. She posted a blog with a good sampling of our pictures about a week after the wedding - which was nice so we could at least see some of them! The the rest of the pictures she had to us shortly after that, all completely edited. Loved everything about Aster & Olive Photography!

Angela was excellent to work with and did an amazing job capturing all of the special moments of our wedding! She did a great job of capturing candid moments throughout the day as well as the details of our reception/ceremony. We opted for a second photographer (which Angela arranges) and Jen was equally as awesome, she photoed the groom and his family getting ready and it was special for me to see him and his family celebrating. Angela does a great job of making her brides feel at ease which is quite a feat with all the activity that goes into getting into a wedding dress. Some of my bridesmaids claim they are "not photogenic", but Angela got many beautiful photos of the entire party! Aster & Olive's prices are comparable (and even better) to other photographers in NE Ohio. Once the proofs were ready for us to view we enjoyed reliving the day by looking at the beautiful photos with our family. It brought a smile to everyone's face to be reminded of such a special day, and having these family memories memorialized in the form of such beautiful, artistic photography is priceless!!

Angela was great from the first time I contacted her until we got our DVD of images. She met with us for our engagement shoot and had no problem walking around our neighborhood until we found the perfect spot! She made us feel very comfortable and captured some really special moments. She was excited to shoot us and we could tell when she got some great photos. We got our pictures in about a week, which was so fast. As another bride said, we also loved so many of them and will have trouble choosing our favorite. Every single picture is fabulous! Unfortunately we won't be in Cleveland for our wedding, but would have loved to have her shoot it. I highly recommend Aster and Olive for any photography you need, from family to weddings. She is awesome!

Angela did the most amazing job shooting my September 2012 wedding. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. It is so important to have someone with such a sweet personality and Angela is so wonderful! Usually I look unnatural in front of the camera but Angela was really able to capture how happy I was on my wedding day. We posed for a lot fun pictures, and traditional pictures, but my favorite pictures where the ones where she was able to catch really special moments of my husband and I, along with friends and family. They all turned out amazing though. She had so many ideas, and did so many cool things with lighting and angles. Everyone loved our pictures, and I have had many people ask my photographer was so they can hire her as well. My sister in law is having Angela do her wedding this year. I would highly recommend Angela.

Angela is an amazing photographer! She loves what she does and it shows through in the results of the pictures that she captures. I LOVE so many of our wedding pictures which may seem like an obvious statement however I have friends who used various different photographers from different companies that could only find one or two that they liked enough to frame. I had the opposite experience, I had a hard time deciding which to frame because my husband and I truly loved so many! She captures you and your husband, wedding party and family members at your best and most flattering angles. Everyone is their own worst critic and I am the biggest offender of this, however I felt like a model after looking at the pictures because she knows how to get the best angle for each person. Angela was always quick to respond to any questions that I had. She is so nice and comfortable to be around for hours on such a special and intimate day of your life (really just felt like another friend in the room not a stranger being a paparazzi). Also, another great bonus is that she makes sure you have your pictures within a couple weeks. Other photographers may take a couple months. Of all of the random stresses that come along with wedding planning, I did not have one single complaint about Angela. Communicating before the wedding, the wedding day and communications after the wedding were all not only stress free but she is great to work with and feels like a friend so it was actually a joy! To say that I would recommend her to anyone is an understatement. I would hire her again with out a second of hesitation! I actually plan on hiring her whenever we have our first child so that we can have some amazing family pictures. =)

Angie was a wonderful choice as my wedding photographer. Professional. Prompt. Creative. I had a wedding party of 40 and a reception of more than 500 people, and Angie was able to handle the "Big Fat Croatian Wedding". I would highly recommend Angie to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer. Her photos were beautiful, and my sister is planning to use her for her wedding this year as well.

Angela is the most amazingly talented photographer! I could not believe how beautiful my engagement and wedding photos turned out. I especially loved the engagement photos. The photos we got from our wedding were absolutely beautiful....from the still shots to the candids our favorite moments were captured in ways beyond what we could have hoped or imagined. Everything we asked for was captured (family shots, etc) but the unexpected shots (like a beautiful high shot from the upper level of the church) were just outstanding. It was on the pricier side, but still worth it for the end product. There was no stress in worrying about any potential problems - Angela was professional from day one and was quick to answer any questions/emails. Even months out from getting out pictures we still get excited seeing her amazing shots!
