We had my son's wedding reception at the Ashyana Banquets in late August 2022. Mr. Jain and his professional team provided outstanding service. We had a grand celebration! I would highly recommend this venue for any type of celebration.

Had a wonderful wedding reception at this venue. We were extremely satisfied with how the event turned out as the venue was beautiful and the staff was very helpful.

Excellent service and the fantastic food. A wonderful culinary experience ! I recommend to everyone who is interested in having a a great creative experience with friends and family.

We used Ashyana for our wedding catering and are very happy that we did! I have been familiar with Ashyana for over 15 years now and it has been elevated to a new level. I was thrilled to work with Samar on a very new and innovative menu (follow them on instagram)! We had items such as methi tacos which were an absolute hit. Beyond the food - our wedding was a COVID casualty, and Samar was beyond flexible working with us. We ended up doing a "micro wedding" in our backyard and everyone loved the food. Highly recommended!

We had a tough time choosing a catering company for our wedding, but after settling on Ashyana and working with Samar, I don't know what was holding us back. It was a truly wonderful experience! From the tasting to the selection process to the final service. Their menu was definitely the most creative of all vendors we looked at, which was a big selling point. More importantly, the process pleasant, fun and affordable, and the food was just FANTASTIC. Our guests loved everything, and it was one of the key items from the wedding they kept talking about. We went a touch non-traditional with our cocktail hour and desserts; methis tacos and momos were adored by all and the first items to fly off. We also did traditional items such as lamb kebabs and daal makhani. Everything, literally everything, was great. It's a real treat when both experience and product are top notch. We would highly recommend Ashyana and know we will use them again for other large events.

Ashyana is one of the best venue for an event. I have attended baby shower, and other party before and now booked an event for an engagement. Great people to work with. Manager is awesome to deal with. I even heard from 3 different decor vendors that Ashyana people are great to work with. Very flexible, willing to help. Samar is down to earth. Great to work with, so helpful and goes above and beyond to help you. Looking forward to excellent event!!!!

Mr. Jain and his team at Ashyana Banquets did a great job in executing my sangeet and wedding. We secured the space ~11 months in advance, and Mr. Jain helped us every step of the way. We received numerous compliments for the food across all our events, and the venue had numerous decor-related items so we didn't have to spend more money with our decorator (e.g. couch, thalis with flowers and a candle for the bridesmaids to walk in with, select centerpieces).

Given Mr. Jain's team's experience with Indian weddings, it was a no brainer for us to use him. He helped us with identifying vendors, and he was always available whenever we needed him throughout the process.

Three years ago, my husband and I had our garba at Ashyana. I am not exaggerating-- I still have friends and family reminding me how much they loved the event (especially the food!). The staff was fantastic. Honestly, I did not have to worry about anything that night. Ashyana did a fantastic job. I would absolutely recommend people use this venue.

Samar and his team were incredibly easy to work with for my nikkah event. The Pakistani halal menu at Ashyana is DELICIOUS. Almost every single guest commented on how tasty the food at our event was - and trust me, our guests are hard to impress! Samar was kind enough to arrange a food tasting prior to the event, and provided his input and assistance in designing the menu with us to fit our needs. Not only was the food good, but Samar personally came to my venue the day of to ensure that no problems arose. Everything was on time, as it should be, and delicious. I am so happy that we chose Ashyana and will definitely be catering from them again!

We had a wonderful couple of days at Ashyana Banquets. Great helpful staff - starting off with scheduling and accommodating our requests, along with great knowledge about weddings made it an excellent option. Well the food was literally the icing on the cake, excellent! I couldn't have asked for a better place around here to have my wedding. I would recommend this place to friends and family who are ready to tie the knot. I am sure we are coming back soon for their weddings!

Ashyana catered my wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center. My family and I were very pleased working with them from start to finish. From scheduling, to food tasting, to coordination- I always felt reassured. The food was delicious, and many guests are still raving about it weeks after the wedding!

Very prompt, professional and friendly service. Helped us cater a venue at our school to feed 150 students. Ashyana was able to help us work within our budget, making the entire process very smooth and easy.

We looked at so many venues for our Indian-Puerto Rican wedding reception. Ashyana provided the best service, flexibility, and value. Samar Jain was wonderful to work with. This was the only venue that would easily let us have the Indian and Latin dishes we wanted. We're so excited to get married at Ashyana in July 2019!

We had a Silver Wedding Anniverary reception for about 50 people and the staff at Ashiyana Banquets took great care and paid attention to detail to all of our requirements.

The food selection was huge and cooked to perfection to cater to all of our friends and family.

The ambience was terrific and we created many more unforgettable memories.

We had a very large wedding (>200 guests) at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago and a separate Sangeet at the Doubletree Hotel in Oak Brook spread out over 3 days and Samar Jain and his team at Ashyana delivered for the entire wedding weekend, beyond what I can describe. Our guests are still raving about the food, several months later. The service was flawless; the staff delivering and serving the food were polite and professional. Everything was on time and up to the highest standards and nothing ran short. For the Sangeet, Ashyana perfectly executed 5 food stations with a wide range of food (Italian, chaat, desserts etc.). They did a fantastic South Indian lunch buffet the next day, and then topped it off with an out of this world spread for the reception. Before our first tasting at Ashyana, we initially were leaning toward another large Indian restaurant in Chicago - kind of the ho-hum default option. But after one tasting at Ashyana, it was unanimous: we asked Ashyana to cater every event. This is hands down the best Indian food in Chicago. You will not go wrong by catering from them.

There's no words to describe how Samar and his uncle managed our wedding from the first introduction dinner to the actual event itself. We catered from Ashyana for a wedding in Indianapolis, and it could not have gone smoother.

The short review is, stop looking elsewhere and get Samar to manage your event. You will not be disappointed.

Pre-plannig / Tasting - Samar and his uncle are not the typical salesmen trying to make every dollar with up charges or menu additions. You'll notice immediately that they want the best for your event, and even if it goes against their revenue, they will suggest alternatives to improve the quality of the food and the presentation. Since this was an external location, Samar even went above and beyond to visit the venue in Indy before the event, got them to offer up their kitchen for hot samosas, and cooked onsite.

Day of Execution: This is where Ashyana and Samar really shined. They didn't need a typical planner to make sure there is enough food on the lines or need help with setup. Hotel management was on them, buffet setup was all on them, presentation of various items, prep areas, clean up, and on top of all of that, they brought salads and extra items that we never discussed. The entire process was so smooth we barely even noticed that a vendor was hustling so much that they faded to the background to make sure the guests and planners didn't need to call or ask for anything.

Food Quality: Custom drinks, on site naan, on site fried foods, and extra pastas salads really added a nice touch. The preparation and quality were top notch, and even the last person to eat (me) got piping hot food almost an hour into the buffet. This all for an event 4 hours away from their main banquet hall.

Food was amazing. Wish Aloo Tikki was not dry. But Paneer Tikka and Chicken botti kababs were yummy!!
Professional: Managers were great and easy to work with.
Bad: Had to pay extra for chocolate fountain.

Ashyana catered all the events for my mixed (Indian and American) wedding and were fantastic with everything! We got so many compliments on the food!

AShyana banquets is the most amazing banquet ! The entire process from booking the event to the day of the event was so professional and extremely friendly. The food was amazing we received so many compliments for the dinner during the event. The staff there was so helpful they helped us organize the wedding and even help our vendors prepare for the event as well. I highly recommend Ashyana . You will have a stress free event with no worries. I would also like to thank Mr.Jain for his amazing generosity and flexibility!! Also their banquet manager Andrew and his team for their attention and help during the entire event! Because of them we had an amazing event !!

The owner is a very nice man willinging to work with you so you can have what you want at your wedding. The venue is very pretty inside and they even have rooms for the bridal party to get ready in. The food was very good, I didn't get one bad comment about the food. The servers were very helpful and sweet and overall it was a good time.

I would recommend Ashyana banquets to anyone! Paul, as well as the other people in charge, were extremely helpful, provided excellent communication, and the food is simply outstanding for the price! I've had pretty bad wedding food, and Ashyana is far superb to any other wedding food I've ever eaten. Also, the vendors that deal with the hall were outstanding as well--I couldn't have asked for anything so easy yet so perfect!

Venue was beautiful. Staff worked hard to add the 2 missing tables. Somehow they went by their table numbers and not by the amount of people we purchased food for. Food was good to ok. I did prefer the food that we tasted at the tasting and was a little disappointed when we got our plate at the reception.

Ashyana Banquets is a first class hall for an Indian Wedding event. They make quality food, and the owner and managers are extremely knowledgeable about the Indian Wedding process and traditions. They are very good at customizing menus to accommodate any needs (i.e., Swaminarayan, Jain, Vegetarian, etc.). The banquet hall capacity is large and the foyer area and inside ceiling decorations are gorgeous. There are bridal suites available for decoration storage, make-up sessions, and showering/getting ready. The entire Ashyana staff worked incredibly hard to make sure the wedding for my wife and I went seamlessly with satisfaction for all. I would highly recommend Ashyana Banquets to anyone considering a large family or friends function.

We've been to numerous events here and hosted one. We hosted our daughter's first communion luncheon here. They were great to work with and very responsive, but served a wrong item at lunch. Additionally, lunch was served later than we'd have liked - only because the servers didn't know. The food is amazing, and as long as you work closely with management, your event will be perfect.

This facility is a great location. Close to Major highways.

We had our reception here. It was a very workable place. They tried to meet everything that I wanted at my reception. The food was good, the place was nice and the manager was great to work with. The only tihng I had a problem with was my cake knife was dropped and cracked (crystal). After the reception they said they would reimburse me for it if I provide a receipt for them. Well, I bought the thing so long ago and didnt have a receipt. Ya think they couldve gave me somthing worth while after spending so much money.

Great Venue, the staff was very helpful, I was planning my wedding from a different state and they were extremely accomodating, talking to me whenever i needed them to (and i'm a bit neurotic). They had good idea's to share and provided input when needed. They also catered the food which was amazing! The cake, I had picked online since i couldn't go to check out the selection myself but it wasn't horrible but neither was it the best...i guess if one can go to the store and pick out the colors it'd be better. Decor and service was also nicely done and may i say it was all reasonably priced.

We had a three day wedding in Ashyana Banquets. Their service was excellent. Staff was very accommodating. The food was very tasty and met our expectations. We would definitely recommend this place.

In Chicagoland, Ashyana has the best price for value. We had 2 events on the same day. Sahil was very hospitable. The food has always been great.

- Accommodating to different designs

Cons:
- We had to change our wedding date due to cultural reasons and even though we continued to use their venue for our event, they were not able to refund some of our money back and they already booked an event on our original date so it's not like they were losing any money at all!
- During the Hindu ceremony, the mango kulfi that was passed around was frozen. They did not remove the ice cream to thaw it out in time.
- Our main contact was not as responsive the day of the wedding

Everything went really with this vendor until the night of when things seemed to really fall apart. They were the best cost, but not the greatest service

food garbage totally wasted money and the chef cannot make hyderabad biryani

We write this review with regret that, while we loved the food and loved the restaurant PRIOR to our event, we will NEVER return and will actively dissuade our family and friends from booking with Ashyana and specifically with “Uncle Jain”. In short- we had our Sangeet night at Ashyana and were extorted 2 weeks prior to our wedding for more money, breaking the contract and prior price per plate and unwilling to compromise.

In April of 2022, Samar Jain confirmed food items and things. He asked us to meet with the secretary, which we did. “Uncle Jain” was there and - out of the blue- decided the price per person was too low. He crossed out our contract and placed (laughably, in pencil) a new price which was about a 10% increase per plate. He also uncharged on some newer items that were originally discussed but not in the contract, so we have no qualms there.

Jain uncle was adamant- increase in price, and NO changing guest count. I was frustrated and said we would discuss with Samar, who signed our original contracts.

Samar discussed on the phone with me and said “no problem, we will take care of it.” After days of pushing for a call back, he agreed that we pay for the original amount of people at original cost — no changes.

I made the final payment (our original amount due), and promptly got an email 1 day later saying “Mr Jain says you agree to pay a balance- please come pay final balance due” which was in reference to what Jain Uncle had extorted us for a week prior.

Fuming- I said I would not pay anything until Jain himself spoke to me. He called, and said “let’s have fun, I request you pay the balance”. I asked what would happen if I didn’t pay this illegal balance left- and he said, “well then we won’t do shit.”

At that point, knowing the event can be jeopardized just a few days away, we paid.

The event was fine, the food was good. The business they conducted was deplorable.

Then we followed up with a letter from our lawyer right after the event. They ignored it. But rest assured, we will spread the word of Ashyanas two faces - one of “yes it’s all good” and then one of the extortion minded owners.

Do not go.

The staff are theifs they stole money out of our rooms the entire time we were there the doors were unlocked but when it came time for us to leave magical the door were locked I get to my bag and all of my stuff snatched out of my wallet and thrown into my bag and then we were promised keys to to rooms and we never saw them and the same guys that were upstairs interrupted our ceremony as well never hold a event there unless you leave personal belongings at home sad to say
