Understanding and flexible
March 2020 -- I just had my engagement shoot with Ashton Kelley Photography. I am so happy we hired her for our wedding later this year. I am so in love with the photos she took after being flexible and understanding after we had some hiccups with location. She showed that she knew us by picking new locations that we loved. Our family and friends are loving the photos and I want to give that credit to AKP. Her style provides warmth and romance to all the photos. She was great with verbal communication prior to the shoot and during the shoot. We were very lucky to receive our photos back within 48 hours and I cried from being so happy with the outcome.
November 2020 -- I am so happy I found Ashton Kelley Photography on instagram. I had followed her on instagram for months leading up to my engagement so once it was time to start booking vendors I asked for her availability for October and November so I could pick a date she was available. It was the best decision. I knew I needed her to photograph our wedding day. She helped provided a list of recommended vendors that we ended up working with and had a great time. There were so many amazing compliments about Ashton’s positive energy and engagement with wedding party and guests. She was on her toes when spontaneous things happened. She effectively communicated directions for those in the photo as well as worked amazingly with her second shooter and videography team. Her second shooter, Siobhan Coleman, was a great and friendly. We are so happy our family and friends were able to have special moments captured with us by Ashton Kelley Photography. I wish I could’ve had Ashton Kelley Photography with us from the minute we woke up to the minute we fell asleep to be able to capture everything. -

Holy potatoes. To make things short and sweet - Ashton is an absolute dream to work with. She made things so easy and fun for my husband and I, who aren’t the most coordinated and err on the side of awkward. Our engagement pictures turned our absolutely GORGEOUS and I cannot wait to see our wedding photos. She is so much fun to be around and her positive energy is contagious. Do yourself a favor and hire her. She will go above and beyond to help make your wedding vision a reality. -

I literally cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashton. From our first phone call, I knew we wanted to hire Ashton. Her passion, energy, and love for what she does is undeniable. From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Ashton completely understood our vision and captured it perfectly. I am seriously in love with every photo. Leading up to both engagement shoot and wedding day, Ashton helped us plan every detail and make sure we were fully prepared. I'm a hyper organized person and I love to make lists. Ashton provided me with detailed lists of what to bring and what I needed. Her organization seriously took the weight off my shoulders and reduced my anxiety.
Overall I'm just so glad we were able to spend our wedding day with Ashton! Let's be honest, you're going to spend a LOT of time with your wedding photographer and we absolutely loved spending our big day with Ashton. Shooting with her felt more like hanging out with your friend and not your photographer. We had so much fun and laughed so much! Her personality is infectious and you can't help but have the best time with her.
Hiring Ashton was literally the best and easiest decision I made while planning my wedding. -

Picking a photographer was hard, since there’s so many talented photographers in Baltimore. However, from our first phone call, I knew I wanted Ashton to be there on my wedding day. She’s fun, positive, easy to talk to, and laid back. After an hour with Ashton, it feels like you have been friends for years.
Ashton was very flexible with our engagement pictures due to the crazy weather this past fall. While my husband and I were nervous and usually unphotogenic, Ashton made the session comfortable and fun. She quickly found beautiful shots and gave plenty of direction when we were standing there awkwardly. She delivered the photos quickly and they were beautiful. The photos made us look natural while capturing our love and the beautiful scenery.
Before our wedding, Ashton was very organized with planning sheets, photo lists, and her prompt communication. She helped plan our schedule and was flexible when we had to change the schedule last minute.
The day of our wedding, Ashton was cheerful, helpful and guiding. She ensured everything ran smoothly and on time. She moved through shots quickly and orderly. She took plenty of fun and serious shots of the bridal party while working with our crazy schedule.
Ashton navigated all the craziness that comes with weddings gracefully and supportively. When outside factors messed with our schedule, she quickly reworked it to accommodate everything. When I started to stress over timing and people trying to add family portraits, Ashton helped calm me down. She handled my drunk-self asking for pictures of the groom and I taking shots (not my finest moment) and handled family members with patience. Ashton guided us through photos and big moments like the first look and cake cutting so we always knew what to do and what was going to happen next. Then, when my bustle kept coming undone, Ashton jumped in to fix it. My wedding day went smoothly because of Ashton.
Finally, Ashton is just fun to be around. She brought blue smoke bombs for the coolest bridal party shot ever! Also, one of my favorite wedding memories is jamming out to Taylor Swift with my brother and Ashton towards the end of the night. Overall, if you’re spending 8 emotional, stressful, crazy hours with someone, you really want them to be fun.
Picking Ashton to be our photographer was the best decision. She is organized, flexible, creative, knowledge, sweet, hilarious, supportive, and fun. She clearly loves her job and is amazing at it. Ashton is worth every penny.

When I started planning my wedding I knew the photographer would be one of the most important decisions. Ashton was recommend by a friend that used her for their wedding and from the first time I talked to her on the phone I knew she was the one. She took my vague ideas for the engagement photos and turned them into such a great blend of what I wanted and what my husband wanted. Since 2018 was the rainiest year in Maryland we had to reschedule the photos 5 or 6 times and she was so understanding every time. The day we finally got to do it I wanted different locations in this park with different outfits and set ups and she didn't even blink an eye. She is such a happy person that she gets you excited to be standing out in the sun, sweating, taking pictures. I have a skin condition that causes red patches on my arms and legs that I was really concerned about but somehow the photos came back and I couldn't even tell. The way she always had me angled or the ways she focused on other things was just amazing. The day of the wedding she was even more amazing. Because we were paying for this wedding ourselves I didn't have a huge budget so I could only hire her for 6 hours, which made things tight. I have a huge family and so does my husband so I was dreading the family photos but I gave her a list of the important pictures I wanted and she moved us along so well that we were ahead of schedule and I got to take a 10 minutes break before being introduced, which I really needed. She got all of the photos I wanted and so many more I didn't even know I wanted and they all turned out beautiful. I really cannot rave about this woman more; she is just amazing. -

Whether you're communicating by phone, email or in person, you immediately feel like you are just chatting with a good friend who has your best interest at heart. She really listens to what you are hoping for and loves to hear about all of the wedding details. She was so responsive and really helped keep the day fun and smooth. Whenever you start to get anxious on the big day, she senses it and helps bring you back into the moment and feel totally at ease. She is always smiling and encouraging. My husband and his friends also loved working with her and her second shooter. I cannot imagine anyone else capturing the memories and being at our side on this special day. You will be in amazing hands with Ashton. Do NOT hesitate to work with her! -
User2711536 Sent on 08/03/2016Ashton Kelley is amazing beyond words. One of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. From the first time we met- nearly 16 months prior to our big day, we felt confident in her presence and excited for her work. We planned our engagement pictures to be during what would be the "peak" of cherry blossom season in Washington, DC. Ashton was willing and excited to travel to DC with us and take our pictures. As the day quickly approached, the unfortunate longer than expected winter had delayed the blooming of the blossoms. Due to mine and my fiancé's work schedules, etc, we were pretty much set on this one pre scheduled weekend of taking our pictures whether the cherry blossoms were going to be out or not. Then we find out, it is supposed to rain all day we are set to photograph, good Friday of Easter weekend. Well don't you know that at her OWN idea and proposition, Ashton asked if we would be able to switch our day to Easter to capture our engagement pictures. It also turned out to be the day after she herself got engaged. So don't you know she sacrificed celebrating Easter with her family AND celebrating her recent engagement to truck all over DC with us. Even though the blossoms around the tidal basin had not bloomed, we were able to find another area full of blossoms, and she did an amazing job making sure our visions came to life for our pictures! Fast forward to our wedding: she was amazing the entire day. Patient and flexible, easy going and helpful. She was more than just a photographer. She was a dress holder, organizer, & coordinator. She even came on board our trolley and rode with the bridal party as not to miss any photographic worthy moments. She gave us sneak peak pics & within a very reasonable amount of time, just under 6 weeks, she had our gorgeous photos to us!!! They are breathtaking and make me smile from ear to ear. I truly am so happy we found her, and plan on using her again for future pics! She is now like a friend!!
