Best and most thoughtful wedding photographer EVER!
We used Ashley for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. She did an amazing job making us feel comfortable in what can feel like an uncomfortable situation, listening to what we liked/didn't like, took both posed and candid photos, and showed such an extreme attention to detail. I chose her because I loved how brightly colored her pictures came out and really seemed to embody the essence of a fun desert wedding and they turned out even better than I expected. Plus, she made the most beautiful wedding photo album for us, way better than I ever though it could be. If you're looking for someone for your wedding who's easy going, comfortable to be around, and has amazing results, I couldn't recommend Ashley enough! -

Ashley is incredible. We hired her for our wedding and were blown away with the photos. She gave great direction so we didn't have to think twice about posing or getting all the shots we wanted. I trust her fully and the outcome was more than we hoped for.
Not only is her work amazing, she was so fun and helpful. Our friends and family were genuinely smiling and it came through in her photos. -

Truly Fantastic - A Whole Different Level
Ashley went above and beyond simply recording moments for us at our wedding as a photographer. For lack of a better description, Ashley served as our director of photography, advising us where to stand, how to pose, what angles would look the best, and what backdrops would look the best. I'm not sure I can praise Ashely enough! Her eye for the best lighting and instincts for capturing the perfect moment (in the perfect framing) are beyond my ability to express. The result was pictures that are somehow more beautiful than we remember.
Ashley was delightful, professional, and truly brought artistic flair to her role as our wedding photographer. I would recommend Ashley for any event, and sincerely hope to have an opportunity to use her services again in the future. -

Amazing photos
We had the great pleasure of working with Ashley for our small wedding at our home in Palm Springs. Our wedding planner highly recommended her and we were so amazed at the final products. Ashley gave us beautiful memories for our wedding that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I don’t think there’s a price to put on that. If you’re getting married, you want Ashley behind the lens, she will capture not only the look, but the feel of the day too.
From the first call with her she was professional and even joked that she has a type A personality. She took time to get to know us and our story. She asked us about what kinds of colors we were drawn to most. We felt in such good hands and Ashley was the obvious choice and we couldn’t be happier. Her communication over the next eight months between our engagement photos and the wedding planning, the day of the wedding, to getting the photos was responsive, punctual, and thorough. There are so many things to be worried about putting together a wedding, Ashley was never one. And the photos speak for themselves. They are marvelous.
Her personality is magnetic and fun. She really knows how to bring the real you out onto film, even if you feel a little camera shy, or you suddenly forget where to put your hands when you’re posing. We spent a whole day with her on our engagement shoot and it felt like hanging out with a friend. She made us laugh and made us feel relaxed, and this made us feel comfortable for our wedding day. She and her second photographer Lewis were kind and empathetic to the huge pressures of the day, but they were also incredibly detail oriented. They made it through our family photos with time to spare.
Ashley has an incredible gift as a photographer, she is a true artist, and we are so happy that she was available for our wedding. -

Ashley is an absolute gem! She is not just a photographer, but a true wedding professional and provides so much more value beyond the camera. We hired her for the wedding and engagement shoot and it really felt like she was with us the entire way through the wedding planning journey. She was professional and organized in her planning, and during the photos she had a really calm aura about her that helped us relax a lot in front of the camera. We also got all of our photos on schedule after the wedding and are so excited about how they came out, especially the scenic shots! Ashley was an absolute joy to work with! From our first consultation call to the wedding day, she was just so wonderful and was genuinely excited about her work. She had GREAT communication throughout and when we met her in person, we were instantly at ease. It was like we had been friends for years! My husband and I both had specific insecurities in front of the camera, and Ashley helped us feel incredibly comfortable. I also happened to get makeup on my collar and, even though it wasn't her job, she helped fix it without even asking her. The photos from our wedding day turned out even better than we could have imagined. I can't stop looking at them, they're so beautiful! We are so glad to have found Ashley and would recommend her for any event. -

Ashley is a gem and would love to have her capture all of our big life moments. She is funny, professional, timely and her photographs are a work of art. When I share images with family and friends, they immediately want to know who we hired.
When thinking of a typical wedding photographer, I envision someone making their presence known and panicking to capture the right moments or making you reenact something to get the right shot. Not Ashley, she is as cool as a cucumber, quiet as a mouse and quick as a fox.

Give yourself the best wedding gift and hire Ashley right now. She was the first vendor we booked in 2019 for our original venue & date that was postponed due to Covid. She is the only vendor we retained for our actual wedding and there are a million reasons why. Ashley is outgoing, vibrant, fun, and a true boss. After our first engagement session with her we knew we had made the best decision. She gets the perfect shot EVERY SINGLE TIME. She is so creative and has so many fun ideas that I would never have thought of which makes having her eye on our big day so special. Ashley has become an incredible friend thanks to a 3 year wedding planning process and 2 engagement shoots...I even had her as a guest at my bachelorette party (where she captured so many incredible photos). On the day of the wedding she was so on top of the shot list that we wrapped up photos early, unheard of, and she showed me a few sneak peeks at dinner! All of our guests and the wedding party adored Ashley and her assistant photographer, Roddy, which made for even better photos with everyone completely at ease. I can't recommend Ashley enough and know that you will adore working with her as much as we did. We love you, Ashley! -

I'm so happy we went with Ashley! I don't take many pictures of myself because I never like the way I look. When we got the pictures back from Ashley - OMG! They were STUNNING! Friends said we looked like models from a magazine - really! She's also so sweet and a joy to work with. Her price is also very reasonable (I checked a lot of others before hiring her). If you need a photographer - hire Ashley! Also worth mentioning, we were in a bit of a pickle before we hired her. We live on the east coast, and were visiting Palm Springs for vacation. Our Wedding photographers couldn't make it. We wanted to have our pictures taken while we were away and only had maybe 2 weeks to figure something out. I reached out to Ashley and got a response almost immediately and she was very accommodating for our short time frame! -

One of the best decisions we made.
One of the first things we did after we picked the location was decide on a photographer. Hiring Ashley was one of, if not the best, decisions we made. Planning a wedding can feel pretty overwhelming. Ashley put us at ease by being prepared and well organized - she asked all the right questions. We felt confident and taken care of right from the start.
On the day of the wedding, she was just as amazing as those early conversations led us to believe she would be. She went above and beyond. She got all the shots we wanted (excellent candids and posed family shots), kept us on track, and was friendly and delightful the whole way. She is so warm and collaborative, creatively solving problems you didn't anticipate would arise (Heels on grass? Pinning a boutonniere? No problem!).
At the end of the day, though, someone can be a delight to hang out with and super organized and still not deliver the goods. Not the case with Ashley. Her eye for color, light and composition shows in the excellent shots she delivers. Asking her to be part of our special day was so incredibly worth it. Without her, we wouldn't have been able to be as calm and confident during the event (so important) or have a set of gorgeous photographs to capture the memories of our wedding. -

Highly recommend!!!
Ashley was so fabulous from start to finish for our wedding. She knew what we wanted and executed perfectly. We could not be more thrilled with how our pictures turned out! I would recommend her 10 times out of 10. And as a bonus, she stayed and danced with us at the end of the night. We love her and had the best experience with her as our photographer! -

We hired Ashley to photograph our intimate wedding in the desert and we could not be happier. She's so incredibly talented and the most kind. From the moment we connected on the phone, to the weeks leading up to our wedding, Ashley went out of her way to connect with us to make sure everything was covered: schedule, timing of the sunset, shot lists, and so many other things we would have never thought of. At the end of the night, there wasn't a single photo we wished we had taken because we were confident that Ashley captured it all. Every day of detail you can imagine and our dream shots. One where she even got in the middle of the street to make it happen! I can't say all photographers would do this.
Ashley made us feel so comfortable and taking pictures so fun! An hour had passed during formal portraits and we honestly had no idea. My husband and I truly felt like this time was ours and we're so thankful Ashley made it that way.
We are in love with our pictures and have enjoyed reliving the most special day of our lives! -

Brides & Grooms, BOOK ASHLEY NOW! I cannot say enough great things about her, where do I even start? Ashley did our engagement photos (May 2021) and wedding photos (November 2021).
She was super helpful throughout the entire process. Her communication was what really stood out to me! If I had any questions on what to wear for engagement photos, what to expect, or anything, she replied so quickly. She really has done it all, so she has the answers to everything, including an in depth guides of what to anticipate! It was super helpful!
Obviously, if you have seen her work, it speaks for itself! Every single photo came out beautifully! She even let us browse another couple's photos of the same venue we booked. We just received our photos back and I can't believe how perfect they are. We had a destination wedding in Palm Springs (Indian Wells), and all of our Midwest guests loved the scenery, but everyone had the same comment; photos just don't do it justice. WELL ASHLEY'S DO! She has such a talent and I can't stop obsessing over our photos.
The day of, Ashley came so prepared! She had everything I never knew I needed for the day; from command hooks to photograph my dress, to heel protectors to help me walk down the aisle. If you can think of it, I bet she had it!
Ashley and her team were so amazing, our Videographer made a comment to me saying how the photography team is the best, organized, and punctual team they have ever worked with. To get a compliment like that from another wedding professional, I think that speaks great volumes on how Ashley runs things! I sent her a photography list of my must have photos, and she had it up on her phone and followed it all day! I'm telling you, I would trust her with my life at this point.
We cannot recommend Ashley enough!!! She is the best of the BEST. Thank you Ashley!

Simply the best
I cannot say good enough things about Ashley and our experience with her. She truly is the best at what she does, but she also offers so much more. Not only are we obsessed with our photos, but we are so thankful to her for how she managed our wedding day. Unfortunately, our planner fell short, and Ashley stepped in and took control of the situation. She kept us on schedule, and she was able to capture all of the photos we wanted and then some. We are so glad we chose Ashley for our special day. She travels, as well, so even if you are not getting married in Vegas or Palm Springs you can hire her. It will be the best decision you make for our wedding. -

Professional, Fun, and Organized
Ashley is aaaamazing! It hasn't been easy being a COVID bride and she made it so simple for us right from the start when we told her about changing from an east coast wedding to a west coast wedding. She has great tips and a fun, energetic, professional energy. One of the best tips she gave was doing a first look. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Everyone was so happy they were able to get their family group shots they wanted and we enjoyed the rest of the night dancing. My dad told me Ashley was dancing and smiling the whole night, it's says a lot when someone really loves what they do and you can feel it! -

Ashley did a great job as our wedding photographer from beginning to end. From the start she was responsive and took the time to understand what we were looking for. We had some unique requests, such as a kind of random off site location to do pre-wedding shots at, as well as an hour of time unconnected to the wedding day to take shots of our next-day pool party. She worked with us to make it all happen within our budget with minimal stress. She also brought good energy and got right in to the dance floor on the wedding night to get some great candid shots. We would definitely recommend Ashley to future couples looking for a professional photographer for whatever their needs! -

When searching for venues, and rentals in Palm Springs for our wedding we asked around about photographers. We kept hearing one name...Ashley LaPrade. We scheduled a FaceTime call with her to meet and immediately we knew we found or photographer. She’s nice, funny and really knows her stuff. In the months that followed Ashely was very helpful about wedding things and advice. We met with her in March of 2019 to do our engagement photos and they were stunning. However, nothing compared to what was in store. Ashely’s team captured our big day impeccably. The light, the color, the drama of it all was beautifully photographed and honestly we were shocked because they made themselves blend in! It wasn’t like they were in everyones face or anything. We were literally in tears looking at our pictures and we couldn’t have been happier with her and her team. She has my recommendation without reservation and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t at least give her a call. Thank you, Ashely and your team for helping make our day amazing. -

Best photographer you could ask for!!!!
Ashley LaPrade shot both my engagement shoot in Joshua tree, and wedding this past November, and I couldn’t love my photos any more! She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease, and on your wedding day that is the most important! The lighting she captures in your photos is absolutely stunning! She has helped me relive the best day of my life in the most beautiful photos! I would recommend her to every single couple who wants magic through photography on their wedding day (or for any amazing moments you want to capture)! Ashley LaPrade is by far the best photographer, for any and all occasions. My engagement photos are stunning and so is her personality demeanor and personality. My now husband is a very rigid, and shy person, but Ashley made him feel confident and comfortable within minutes of meeting her and taking photos. I will forever use Ashley's services, she was a part of our biggest day our wedding and we cannot wait for her to capture all the upcoming monumental moments of me and Rauls life.

Finding a photographer to hire was one of the most challenging things for me because to me, it was the most important vendor I would hire. Even if my hair was amazing and my decorations were beautiful, it wouldn’t matter if the photographs didn’t capture that. Well, all I have to say is that ASHLEY IS THE MOST AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER EVER. Not only did she capture the most amazing images of my wedding day, but she is one of the most fun people to just hang out with. My entire wedding day I felt relaxed, I never felt rushed through pictures. She was always in control and always had her eye on the clock and knew when to get things done. Ashley also came all the way to La Jolla from Palm Springs for my wedding! She shoot in a location that was fairly new to her and you would have never known. All of the pictures are beautiful and edited to perfection. Every time I look at my wedding pictures I get tear of joys because of how beautiful they are. They are everything I ever wanted and so so so much more. Because of Ashley, I get to relive my wedding everyday by looking at the pictures she took. If you are looking for an outgoing, friendly, top-notch, professional photographer for your wedding, do not go anywhere else, hire Ashley right now, it will be the best decision you make!

I can't even begin to explain how amazing it went, and how stunningly she captured the special moment. I had chatted with several photographers on the phone but instantly knew that Ashley was the one when she shared her great ideas on locations and how to pull off the surprise. She was such a pleasure to work with through the entire process and has a great website to streamline planning, communication and payment. I hope we can work with her at our (eventual) wedding! -

Christine Sent on 05/18/2017I was very disappointed with our pictures, we paid full price for the Assistant , the main photographer was already booked. She promised us that the assistant was great so we still went ahead and booked . We booked a engagement photo shoot to see how well the pictures came out . The main photographer took most of the pictures so we couldn't see how well the assistant took pictures. They had asked us where we would like to take pictures I sent them an email saying where and when we met that day they gave us different opinions from what I asked . She also asked me to send her my Pinterest photos for the wedding to give them an idea what I wanted ... I did that as soon as I got home . A week after the wedding I saw a notification that she finally approved my request . The wedding we didn't get any pictures of my mom and I a lot of people that were at the wedding . Looking back if I knew I had to be behind the photographer and let her know where to take the pictures and with who I would had done it .. but it isn't easy when I as the bride is running around back and forth ... I didn't think that was my job. The assistant was very nice and helpful but As a photographer I don't think she did a great good , a lot of the family pictures people's heads were down and not looking at the camera . She took like one picture of something so in case one didn't work out maybe the other did.. but no we only had one . The assistant seemed like she was invited as a guest and and partying then actually there for the job. Just very heartbreaking that we couldn't get pictures we thought we'd get. So after we received our pictures I saw we didn't get much so I pretty much begged to see if there was more of our guests . Which was another issue , the photographer insisted that she had already gave us enough pictures yet we got double pictures because some were black and white and we didn't ask for those . All I wanted was memories of our family's being at our wedding .
