  Bright airy photos and a joy to work with

  We used Ashley for our engagement shoot and our wedding in Hawaii - both of which were plagued with cloudy skies and some rain issues. Despite that Ashley delivered beautiful, bright, and airy photos with tons of movement. Personally she has warm, bubbly personality that made shooting with her very enjoyable and easy. She gives direction but is also open to any special shots you want. I would highly recommend her for any weddings or special shoots. One thing to note is that for long events she does shoot some in black and white (which were also stunning), especially at night, so call out if there are any important shots later in the night that you really want in color.

  Beautiful and vibrant photos!!

  I picked Ashley Goodwin because I loved brightness and visible joy in her photos and I couldn't have made a better choice! Ashley was able to capture the energy, love, and excitement of our wedding perfectly--every emotion comes through each photo and I'm reminded of how wonderful the day was with every picture. Ashley and her team were incredibly sweet and professional, and she gave everyone coaching throughout photo sessions that helped us loosen up! For people like me who don't know how to pose in front of a camera, I felt at ease and natural the whole time she was taking pictures. I'm beyond thrilled with how all of my photos turned out and I know that because of Ashley I'll be able to revisit and remember that day perfectly for the rest of my life!

  Ashley is so talented and down-right AMAZING! She really has an eye for capturing beautiful moments, people's subtle expressions, and details! Initially, I fell in love with her amazing website (her portfolio of photographs is just so stunning), but I honestly fell in love with her personality EVEN MORE after finally meeting her via Skype. I was really concerned since I was planning a destination wedding, but she took all my worries away! I'm not the most photogenic person, but she was not only able to make me feel comfortable while she was taking our photos for the wedding, but also have a lot of fun! They all turned out so great! I'm so thrilled about them all. I really highly recommend working with Ashley as your wedding photographer.

  You would never regret booking Ashley as your photographer

  Wow. Every single picture she takes is stunning. You can tell the meticulous care that goes into her photos is because she really loves what she does. She’s an artist and captures the most sincere, dreamy moments. She’s also really fun to be around and makes you feel great- super important. I cannot say enough incredible things about her. Book her, you won’t regret it. Promise.

When we met her the day of our wedding (we had a destination wedding) we seriously felt like we have known her for years~ she makes you feel so comfortable and does an amazing job all day shooting BEYOND beautiful photos for your wedding. We could not have asked for a better photographer to capture the most exciting day of our lives. We just about died when we saw the amazing photos on our gallery~ her creative work & special detail to everything shines right through...not to mention you literally look like you just landed in a bridal magazine. Check out her website & see for yourself! :) We would without a question recommend Ashley to anyone! I wish she lived closer to do all our shoots.   I am 100% certain I could not have found a better photographer in Hawaii. Ashley is very professional, so much fun, has a warm personality, and takes photos that surpass your average photographer. Her photos are romantic and bright. You won't be disappointed.

  Ashley has continued to go above and beyond any expectations I had for a photographer. She has an amazing eye for what makes a beautiful picture and is extremely talented working with people (bridal party and guests included). She has the ability to make you comfortable in front of the camera and be yourself. I would and DO recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. 100%!

  Ashley was an absolutely wonderful photographer, and a joy to have at my wedding reception. My husband and I had eloped, and then rented a ballroom in NC to get back in our wedding gear and share the experience with our families. Ashley truly helped us capture that treasured moment in time. She somehow managed to keep me at ease as well, which is no easy feat since I hate crowds and having my photo taken. I would recomend Ashley Goodwin Photography for anyone and any event.

  While planning our wedding in Lynchburg, VA, my fiancé and I were living in Boston, MA - 12 LONG hours away! It was a very nerve-racking time for both of us and so we concentrated on the things that were most important to us. #1 on the list was photography! I had recently seen my high school friend's beautiful wedding photos and inquired about her photographer (she was married in Lynchburg as well) - she shared our information with Ashley, and the rest was history!
  After our first phone conversation with Ashley, we knew we had found our girl! She was professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She helped us decide what would work best for our wedding style, as well as our personalities. On our wedding day, I hardly knew that she was there! My husband (who does not love a camera) was comfortable and laughing as we had our first look and took our post ceremony pictures together, and our guests were commenting on the fact that she blended into the crowd - putting people at ease that might not want to be in the spotlight! Our pictures are beautiful and she captured every moment we wanted, as well as all of the moments that we were missing as we talked to our guests, danced, etc. We highly recommend this lovely and talented lady!

  During a very stressful hunt for a photographer for our wedding, I stumbled across Ashley's photos and blog. I instantly fell in love and knew that I had to contact her for a possibility of shooting our wedding. Thinking it would be very expensive and a long shot based on her living 4 hours away, Ashley quickly responded without hesitation and provided information and flexibility more than what I could have asked for. We immediately connected through email and started the planning. Ashley's excitement and passion for what she does is amazing and was shown instantly, even through email.
  
  Ashley was awesome when it came to the flexibility that was needed for a July 4th wedding, as well as helping out in any aspect that was needed. She was friendly, fun, and had a way to put everyone on the other side of her camera, at ease. We had many compliments from our guests on her friendliness and professionalism throughout the entire night.
  
  The turnaround time for the pictures was quicker than expected, and within the timeframe that was initially communicated. As soon as we saw the pictures, we immediately fell in love and forwarded to our family.
  
  Two years later, we are able to look through our pictures, smile, and feel like it was just yesterday!

  Friends are gems

  We are actually longtime photographer friends with Ashley, talking business and shop through the years from across the ocean. A wedding brought us over to Oahu and we reached out to her for photos while we were there. She did a mini-session with us and then we hopped over to Dukes for dinner and drinks. It could not have been more easy going and fun (and as photographers, we were so impressed with what she was able to make happen in a teensy weensy amount of time). We have her photos framed in our house to this day!
