    The Best Wedding Planner

    We booked Ashley Baber Weddings for our wedding at Pippin Hill in Charlottesville and worked with Amanda Shaver and she was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. If you're considering working with her, don't wait another second. She is extremely knowledgeable in suggesting and working with vendors and so helpful in sharing ideas and suggestions for our wedding that I would have never thought of and/or didn't know were possible. Amanda was always accessible and quick to respond throughout our entire planning process and stayed on top of every correspondence to make sure that nothing fell through the cracks. I only sent Amanda a few pictures of what we envisioned, and she created an inspiration board that wildly exceeded our expectations and then brought it to life for our wedding day. It was truly so impressive to see and her attention to detail is unmatched.

    Having Amanda with us on our wedding day made all the difference in the world and we were able to relax and enjoy the entire day while we got ready with our family and friends, and our ceremony and reception went on without any hiccups or issues. Amanda is genuine and down to earth and helped make our wedding day so special and unforgettable. Everything was a dream all thanks to Amanda–we cannot say enough good things about her, and you will not regret working with her!

    My husband and I secured the services of Ashley Baber Weddings for our wedding on the 18th of October in Charlottesville. It was one of the best decisions we made! Amanda was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. She is steady and full of all the right answers, at all the right times. She was always two steps ahead of us, helping with invoices, payments, overlooked details, and uncooperative vendors. We shudder to think what our day would have been like without her and only wish we had hired her for full planning services. She went above and beyond! Her competency and professionalism is second to none!! We would recommend Amanda to anyone and everyone - NO HESITATION!!

    Hiring Ashley Baber Weddings (specifically Amanda Gray) was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding day. Our venue (King Family Vineyards) required that we have a day of coordinator, which I swore I did not need. Boy, was I wrong. It was so wonderful to have someone unbiased to bounce ideas off of leading up to the big day. The week of, Amanda took care of all of our confirmation calls, which took a huge burden off of me, and was a huge help when the forecast turned to rain and we had to make a change of ceremony locations. It was also amazing to have her there on the day of to handle the little details. I didn't have to worry about anything, because I knew Amanda had it covered. She even went as far as to make sure we had drinks, I had flats (when she found me barefoot), and that the event flowed as it should. I really can't recommend her enough.

    Amanda Gray with Ashley Baber Weddings Virginia is without a doubt the best person a bride can hire to plan her most important day. Initially, I became aware of Amanda's gorgeous work by noticing her weddings and photo shoots all over my favorite wedding blogs. Once we had our first meeting on the phone, I decided to hire Amanda and it was without any shadow of a doubt the best decision I made throughout my entire planning process. The feedback I received from all of my wedding guests was the same: "It looks like something out of a magazine". As a bride, it doesn't get any better than that! Most people were surprised that I hired a wedding planner since I am very organized myself, but executing a beautiful wedding is about so much more than being organized. All of the best vendors in Charlottesville, Richmond, Lynchburg, Roanoke and beyond have wonderful relationships with Amanda. Because of her, they all went above an beyond to deliver to my wedding site in Blacksburg and ensure everything was perfect. It was clear to me that my vendors trusted Amanda completely, and because of that, I received the best service. And, after a year of careful planning, a severe weather warning threatened to derail my entire day (tent reception). Before I could even think about worrying, Amanda had worked with all my vendors and even some new ones to create plans B, C, D, E and F. She worked non stop the day of my wedding to make last minute changes as the forecast changed by the hour and my ceremony started on time to the second and everything went off without a hitch. Even after a year of planning, everything could have been ruined if it wasn't for Amanda. Above all, she's an amazing person! Now that the wedding is over, I'm finding myself searching for reasons to reach out to her because I miss our daily chats! Brides-do yourselves a favor and hire Amanda Gray. It is the best decision you can make for yourself to have a beautiful and enjoyable day!

    Amanda was so helpful In every aspect of wedding planning. She has a great eye for design and never pushed me to do anything I was uncomfortable with - like spend money on something I didn't think was important. She was always available to bounce an idea off of and had so many great vendor recommendations.

    Amanda Gray with Ashley Baber Weddings was fantastic -- definitely money well spent. Amanda not only ran the wedding and coordinated with vendors on site, but also helped shaped my ideas into a seamless vision, answered hundreds of questions, and gave excellent vendor recommendations. Our wedding wouldn't be what it was without her. We're so glad that we hired Amanda, and enthusiastically endorse her for future brides.

    My Mother insisted on having a Wedding Planner and she was right! My family owns 8 retail stores and we were opening up a store while planning my wedding. Also my brother and his wife were expecting their first child the week of our wedding. So... needless to say Amanda was necessary. She was very professional, had great ideas, and coordinated everything. My Mom was so relieved the entire day because she didn't have to worry about anything! The whole day went so smooth!

    We were so worried about throwing an outdoor wedding at my parents' home, especially since we don't live locally. Hiring Amanda Gray was a gift I gave myself early in the planning process, and it was one of the best decisions I made. She is responsive, friendly, easy to work with, fun to chat with, and a total pro. She did partial planning for us, and I was glad to have her with me through the whole process. The day-of coordination was ESSENTIAL. She kept things running smoothly with a smile, and my parents, my husband and I were able to enjoy the day knowing that she was in charge--something I had been worried about since we were throwing the wedding at home. I will miss working with her! I'm also recommending AT LEAST day-of coordination to every bride I know, especially if the venue doesn't have an event coordinator. Believe me, you will breathe easier knowing someone is doing the worrying for you! Thank you Amanda!!

    Amanda and her team were awesome. They made everything flow with ease on the day of the wedding. Leading up to it, Amanda kept us in check and had great recommendations. We're so glad that we got her as a planner, it really helped us relax on our special day so that we could enjoy every minute of it!

    We hired Ashley Baber as our wedding planner and worked with Amanda Gray at Pippin Hill in Charlottesville Va. Hiring Amanda was the best decision we made for our wedding. She was on top of everything the entire planning process and I seriously don't know what we would have done without her on the wedding day. Before the wedding she kept me and my mom on track. She reminded us of when everything was due and her responsiveness was outstanding. She had an emergency kit that she put in our bridal loft and we ended up needing a lot of thing out of there. I don't know what we would have done without it! She was great to work with and dealt with my family and wedding parties craziness with professionalism and ease.
    I would HIGHLY recommend working with Amanda. She will make your wedding day a breeze :)

    Amanda and Allie were amazing with their organization and taking complete control so that I had nothing to worry about. They were even complimented by my guests! Loved them!

    Amanda Gray with Ashley Baber Weddings was our day-of coordinator, though she provided endless support throughout the entire planning process. Though we just paid for day-of services, we got three face-to-face meetings ahead of time and unlimited phone/email correspondence. Amanda always responded within a few hours and was willing to travel several hours away for our face to face meetings without asking for mileage.

    Since we had a backyard/tent wedding with a family friend doing all the food, there were unique challenges tha we faced with having to stand up our own catering operation (i.e. securing chafing dishes, china, flatware, refridgerator trucks, securing our own labor, just to name a few). I had this spreadsheet with hundreds of items that we needed to secure for the day. Amanda graciously reviewed my lists multiple times to make sure all the details were covered so that by the time the wedding week came up, we were able to enjoy ourselves.

    On the day of, Amanda brought an extra associate to help at no extra charge. Both were organized and attentive, checking in with us in the morning, coordinating all the set up, checking in with vendors, etc. She had an emergency kit with things I would not have thought of, and took care of us from bringing hors deourves over during our photo session to preparing a to-go picnic basket with lovely leftovers, the bouquet, and other nice gifts for our mini-moon.

    Amanda, I love you. Without you, Terry and I would still be frazzled.

    Amanda is amazing. She took care of every detail we contracted her for and more. I HIGHLY recommend her services.

    Amanda was my day-of coordinator but she did so much more. I think I emailed her on a daily basis. She helped me with everything from linens to vendors to ideas and made the most detailed timeline for the vendors. She was a lifesaver and she worked so hard. I could not have done it without her!

    I have to ditto all of my daughter's comments. I don't think anyone worked harder and had a more positive attitude, even though we had many wonderful vendors. Thank-you so much Amanda. She was such a significant asset to giving us a relaxed and enjoyable day.

    Hiring Amanda Gray of Ashley Baber Weddings was one of the best (and easiest) decisions we made while planning our wedding. Amanda was always quick to respond to any questions or requests and was so easy to work with. Being a planner and a diy bride, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and Amanda was a great help in executing our vision. I would highly recommend her to any brides to be out there looking for a coordinator.

    We hired Amanda Gray as our day-of coordinator and it was one of the best things we could have done, wedding planning wise. Amanda was a savior - from the day we began working together, she was available, offered insights, communicated with our vendors, kept us on track, and guided us through both our planning and wedding. She was incredibly professional, and wonderful to work with. My husband and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Amanda as our day-of coordinator, and could not be more thankful for her help and support.

    If I could offer one piece of advice to future brides it would be to hire Amanda Gray! I don't even want to think about what my wedding would've been like without her. She helped me with every detail along the way and even helped me through an incredibly tough time with my venue closing down and having to find a new venue and ultimately having to change the date. She was calm and positive throughout the entire process. She kept the vendors organized, thought of every detail, and was especially helpful with pulling it all together the day of. I felt comfortable putting my plans into her hands and she always ended up exceeding my expectations. If I could give her more than 5 stars on each category above, I would! It was such an enjoyable experience. I wish I had another reason to work with her again soon!

    A wedding without a wedding planner...never. A Virginia wedding without Amanda Grey of Ashley Babber Weddings...never. Amanda is professional, fun, knowledgable, creative and the list could go on. The day was fabulous and stress free thanks to Amanda's great planning, attention to detail, and hard work. Speaking for myself (mother of the bride) and my daughter, we can't imagine the wedding as well as the months of planning without her!

    I can't say enough about Amanda Gray; but I can say that without her, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy my daughter's wedding. I hired her as a "day of coordinator" and she turned out to be so much more. Since I was 40 miles away from the venue, she did a lot of legwork for me early on. She came up with details that I hadn't even considered and made them happen. I can't imagine not having someone at your beck and call on such an important day. Worth every penny and more!

    I mostly worked with her colleague, Amanda Grey, as a day-of coordinator. She was a blessing! She took care of so many things for us so that we could enjoy the day. She and Ashley even found us crackers right before the ceremony when we were suddenly ravenous. They were a little strict with the schedule, but always checked with me before pushing something along (at one point they wanted us to leave early so that the older guests who were starting to leave could see us make our exit, but I just told them that we'd like to stay for the whole thing and they left that alone). Amanda's colleague was a little rude to our groomsmen and musicians during the rehearsal, but Amanda was fine. They also were encouraging me to do some things certain ways for the ceremony that I never wanted, but I just had to push back a little harder and they let us have it the way we wanted. I was just very appreciative of all that they did for us (Amanda even left the reception to figure out a room key situation for our groomsmen per our request!).
