I could not recommend Laura enough to paint your wedding live painting. Laura captured our wedding so perfectly in the painting and it is a keepsake that we will cherish forever. We had an amazing experience with Laura. Everything was very seamless from our initial conversation and pre-wedding phone call to seeing the final painting come to life. Laura All of our guests loved watching the painting come to life over the evening and the grand reveal of the painting at the end of the wedding was one of our favorite moments. Stunning Lowcountry Dining Room Mural
I am absolutely in love with the stunning mural of the South Carolina Lowcountry that Laura Welch created on my dining room wall! Her work is nothing short of breathtaking, capturing the serene beauty and soul of the Lowcountry with incredible detail and artistry! The immersive scene is definitely a statement as you enter our home. Laura is a wonderful person and fantastic to work with. Laura was very communicative throughout the entire process and she typically replied to our emails within the hour. She is very talented and her work is so amazing! Laura is the most talented live wedding artist I have seen. She was extremely responsive throughout the entire planning process and she is very sweet. Our guests were WOWed by her work and how quickly she was able to finish the painting (by the end of the reception)! She has a detailed, easy-to-complete questionnaire on what part of you wedding you want painted, who do you want in it, do you want to add any special memorable items. We added a hummingbird for my grandma who is no longer with us and Laura was nice enough to let me know the morning of the wedding that she had a hummingbird fly right by her that day. Very very special. She also brought a content creator who was in training with her to capture reels and additional pictures of our big day which were also great! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!!

My favorite keepsake from our wedding!
We are beyond happy with our decision to hire Laura to create a live painting of our wedding ceremony! We selected the Meant to Be Collection which includes the live painting, a paper print, and notecards of the final painting which we intend to use as our Thank you cards to our guests. Not only is the painting absolutely beautiful, but the experience was unlike anything I have ever seen at another wedding. I have to admit, at first I wasn’t fully on board with the idea of a “life artist” painting during the reception, however, after reviewing Laura’s work, I was certainly intrigued. But, nothing could have prepared me for how pleasantly surprised I was to see her in action. Within a matter of a short time she had absolutely captured not only the beauty of the moment of Spencer looking into Hannah’s eyes during their first dance, but you can actually feel the joy and love that filled the room from the family that surrounded them. And if that wasn’t enough, she captured the exquisite details from the flowers, to the candles, to the chairs and even the place settings.
Laura situated herself in such a way that she became a part of the ambience. She was indeed an attraction that entertained our guests.
If you’re on the fence as to whether you should invest in Laura, I can say without a doubt, that you will not be disappointed. Her talent is exceptional and she was incredibly easy to work with. But, the biggest reason is because you’re going to have this amazing keepsake. And it’s a gift that can keep on giving - you can have prints made for yourself and for your new in laws and... Laura can also make the painting into notecards.
Everytime I look at this painting, I literally feel as though I’m back at that very moment, watching Spencer and Hannah’s first dance.

We were beyond thrilled with our painting! The live painting was the coolest addition to our wedding and provided such a special piece to commemorate the day. Our guests loved watching the painting during the reception and many enjoyed finding themselves in the picture. Laura is such a talented artist. Laura was INCREDIBLE! All of our guests loved viewing the painting while it progressed, and the final product was simply phenomenal! We did not tell any of our guests about it ahead of time so it was a very big surprise and everyone loved it. We cannot wait to hang our painting for all to see as soon as we can!! Only regret is that we didn't get a bigger size!

Laura is incredible!! I was so excited to have Laura come and paint our first dance at our reception. I knew she was talented and our painting would be amazing, but meeting her and seeing her work just blew me away. I am so happy we decided to add this to our wedding. Having a live painting is such a unique experience that truly set our wedding apart from any other we have ever been to. It is such a beautiful keepsake that we can have displayed in our home, and hopefully passed on for generations to come. We also opted to have our painting printed on note cards, which just arrived yesterday! I cannot wait to send our thank you notes so our guests can each have a copy of the painting. People have been telling us for weeks now, how amazing the painting was and what a neat idea it was. Aside from the experience, and Laura's talent, she is such a wonderful, down to earth person, and it was a true pleasure to meet her and work with her! Thank you Laura!

Laura came all the way to Northern Colorado to paint our wedding. She did a fantastic job and was early to every event/meeting we asked for her to attend. She started early enough to ensure our guest we able to see most of the painting before the night was over. When the night was over I thought man she did good, what I failed to realize is that she was not done. She took the painting home and spent what appears to be countless hours putting fine details in place, from cake pops sitting in a side table to smiles on the people's faces. She was kind and welcomed evey person that sat and watched her paint through out the entire night. Laura has a magic touch with her brush and We are over the moon that we were able to have her on our special day.

Laura has been a close family friend for years, and we have been fortunate to watch her grow as an artist. When my youngest became engaged, there was no question that we would invite her to capture those special moments at the wedding- She actually took one of the kids engagement photos and recreated it on canvas- the kids were surprised to receive the painting as a gift. For the wedding, my son and his bride wanted to capture the first dance at the reception- From the moment Laura set up her canvas, the guest were truly captivated by her talent as she created a unique masterpiece as they all watched. The final piece was every bit as breathtaking as my son and his bride as they made their grand entrance. I will always treasure the painting as Laura captured my family celebrating being a family- it is a priceless gift.

Laura is a wonderful artist and her live wedding painting adds a unique touch to a wedding. She set up and began the painting at the church, then she moved to the reception to finish. Our guests had the privilege of watching her work and were amazed at the finished product. Don't even hesitate...hire this talented woman! We are so thrilled that we hired Laura as a surprise Live Painter at our daughter's wedding. The bride and groom and all the guests were amazed to watch the painting of her first dance come alive as she painted and entertained during the reception. was looking for something different to have at our wedding, every one gets a photo booth at and we wanted something to set us apart from any "traditional wedding" we have been too. I came across Laura's page and I INSTANTLY gave her a call.
For any bride considering getting a live event painting I would Highly recommend to give her a call! You have a piece of art- created of you and your family for a life time. It's a wonderful conversation piece and memory and so much better than just a regular photograph!
As for LAURA at artistic i ... we couldn't be happier that we chose her. She is very professional, reasonable and easy to work with. From our first conversation to our wedding night was a pleasure! Her talent is amazing everyone at the wedding was blown away when they saw her painting live. People are still talking about our wedding! Laura came out to the wedding to set up and our guests were inquisitive at first, after they saw her set up hear easel and start painting the guests were thrilled with what she was doing. When we came over to say hi we were thrilled to see what she had completed. People were taking pictures as she was working along and she was absolutely professional and courteous to anyone that approached to interact with her. She dressed fantastically and fit right into our venue with an outside garden-themed wedding. We couldn't have been happier booking her for our special day and we are entirely looking forward to the finished product.
She was professional, always quick to reply, dressed for the occasion, had a great set up, interacted perfectly with the guests in a wonderful way..we couldn't have been happier with anyone else.

I actually booked Laura to surprise my parents and give them the live painting as a thank you for helping put together our wedding! She was so easy and fun to work with! Our guests were so intrigued and loved her work. She was definitely a hit and the talk of the wedding. The painting turned our so amazing! We absolutely love it as do our parents. A few months before my wedding, I had some budget wiggle room and decided to look into a live painter. I was so fortunate that Laura was available for my wedding date. Hiring Laura to do a live painting was one of the best decisions I made. Not only did the live painting provide entertainment for my guests throughout the night, but I received a beautiful custom memento that my husband and I will cherish forever. Laura's "Live Wedding Painting" was the most incredible gift we could have given to our Goddaughter and her husband on their wedding day. It was so awesome to see the work-in-progress from a blank canvas to an awesome painting at the end of the evening, and when we saw the "final" gift approximately one month later, it was BREATHTAKING...the details were absolutely amazing...we all were in tears viewing this fabulous work of art.
I have to say, we had so many guests watching Laura and loving the process as the evening went by. Even as Laura was leaving, the bride's parents asked if we could keep the painting there for everyone to continue admiring...it was so impressive watching the process unfold in front of our eyes.

She also painted four custom wine glasses with two of them being pictures of our four legged children Deacon and Ozzy. Our painting of our first dance is beautiful! It is something that we will treasure forever! She was also able to assist us in adding "key" family members that needed to be in the painting that may have not been standing exactly where they needed to be for the first dance. Not only did she create a beautiful piece of art for my niece and her husband, she also provided entertainment for the wedding guests, wedding party, and I even caught the band members watching her paint! She was a hit-- everyone commented on the individuality and thoughtfulness of the family's gift to the lovely couple. This is definitely the way to go if you want to give something extra special, something that won't be put into a china cabinet, only to be used a couple times a year. As my fiance and I got married this past week, Laura painted an absolutely beautiful and timeless impressionist painting of our site and ceremony. Not only was the painting just beautiful, our guests were thoroughly entertained watching and speaking with her as she completed it once the formal part of the event wrapped up. I asked Laura to do this as a wedding day gift to my fiance, and I couldn't be happier with the process or result. We talked for 5-10 minutes on the phone about what I was ideally looking for, I paid a very reasonable deposit online, and she showed up and took care of the rest on her own (which was great since my time was very tight the day of). I thoroughly recommend anyone looking for a unique, personal and beautiful work to pick up the phone and just chat with her. She is amazing!

Laura was great to work with throughout our preparation and on our ceremony day!
She always responded quickly to provide feedback and suggestions. We met with her once before the ceremony, and everything we wanted was discussed. She created custom wine and beer glasses for our wedding party (a BIG hit! HIGHLY recommended!). We also had a custom portrait done of our wedding ceremony.
Although we struggled with a last-minute venue change, Laura didn't pause - just reassured us of no problems and not to worry about a thing.
After now being done with the seemingly unending preparation for one special day, I can really appreciate how easy Laura made it. We now also have a unique piece of artwork to remember the day.

Our big day has come and gone, but with us forever will be the amazing painting done by Laura. She went above and beyond answering all of our questions, meeting with us prior, responding quickly to emails, completing AMAZING glasses of the wedding party AND remaining calm (when we were not so calm) when we decided to change the wedding venue the week before the wedding. We definitely recommend her for anyone looking for that perfect custom touch to their wedding. Thanks again Laura!

The wine glasses Laura painted for myself, bridesmaids, mother of bride and mother of groom were perfectly done and a wonderful addition to our bridesmaid luncheon table settling. Each glass was personalized and colored to match our bridesmaid dresses and my own gown. The girls adored this portion of their gift and most still use it to drink our of it at their own homes. Its a great keepsake and memory of the wedding weekend. I would use Laura again for any painting; she is extrememly talented, fast with completing the items and personable and easy to work with.

Laura Martindale does exquisite work, customized to client's request or her own images. She's organized, responsive and her work is reasonably priced. I asked her to paint wine glasses with panoramas of various cities, college campuses, geographic areas special to my family and friends and her product was fantastic and made cherished gifts!

I was blessed to have Laura as my maid of honor at my wedding. As a gift at my bachelorette party she painted a wine glass with a picture of me on it with incredible attention to detail! As a surprise at my wedding she had painted us a spectacular picture of our ceremony that looked like she had taken a picture! Laura is passionate, hard working, and above all truely gifted.

Laura is a very talented and amazing young woman inside and out. She played such a special role in my daughters wedding by creating a live wedding portrait. The guest were blown away with her service. I also asked her earlier to paint the wedding dress and reception dress as a suprise and again her work was awesome. We were able to display all 3 paintings at the reception and it just created an extra element of WOW. I bought my dad her painting of Charleston in a Glass and it was beautiful. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It really captured the beauty and essence of Charleston in a painting. Laura is very talented and I will be using her services in the near future for my special events!

I originally purchased a print from Laura at her booth during an art festival. I immediately fell in love with her work. I later heard from a friend that she was doing live wedding painting!!! Unfortunately I had already had my wedding but I contacted her and she was able to recreate my big day from pictures! It is truly AMAZING how talented she is! We could not be happier with the outcome, now we have a beautiful original work of art that is so special to us. Thanks Laura!!!
