Well, what can I say, Margie was a dream to work with:) From our first meeting, I loved her. She is sweet, funny, and HONEST. She could charge way more for her cakes, but she does not. Her cakes are yummy and moist, and when she says she can make just about any flavor, she is not kidding! Love her, Love her cakes. Thanks for making our wedding cake even more beautiful than the picture.

From our first meeting, Margie did all she could to make sure our wedding cake was just as we pictured and even tastier then we could have ever dreamed. The result, was amazing. .Not only were the flavors she helped us select perfect for our wedding, but the cake was even more beautiful then we could have hoped.
Margie and Artistic Cake Creations far exceeded my expectations for our wedding cake. What's more, her prices made her by far the most affordable of all the bakers we tried (and we tried a lot!!!!, who wouldn't for some free cake :) ).

Margie provided us our wedding cake for our wedding and it was wonderful! She was so sweet to work with and was always on top of her game throughout the entire transaction and process. She was very accommodating in meeting for our initial cake tasting and was very patient with me throughout the process of picking the cake flavors and the design. We loved the way our cake tasted! We got to choose 3 different flavors for the different tiers which allowed us to get creative with what we wanted! Highly recommend Margie! Her pricing cannot be beat and you will loving working with her!

This was a little hidden gem! Margie was great and had the best price in the area for our cake. She was so sweet and understood my vision exactly. She worked with me and when I saw I wedding cake it was even better than I expected! If you book her you won't regret it. She was the best price along with an elegant and tasty cake!

I have had a ton of "Margie Cakes". All my friends use her. Her cakes are the best I have ever eaten. I am a foodie, so I know my cake. I have tried several of her different cake flavors. She has tons to select from, and her fillings, those mousses are the BOMB!!! OMG good. Every cake was so moist, so yummy. My mouth is watering just typing. I have never ordered a wedding cake from her, but several other family cakes. Every party I help plan, I always get a "Margie Cake". Beyond her cakes being yummy, she is a very kind woman. Just as sweet as she can be. Can not beat it, great cake, great customer service.

Margie is the absolute best! I found Margie through a friend and I am so glad that we selected her for our wedding cake. First and foremost, her cakes are delicious, absolutely delicious. After we signed our contract, I bought a birthday cake from her because I couldn't wait until the wedding. My friend has also gone back to Margie for other cakes as well. Our cake turned out beautiful! We went the simple route, but it was stunning and we couldn't wait to cut it. Margie is super responsive and drove our cake all the way into Baltimore for us. I can't wait until we have a reason to work with Margie again!

Margie with Artistic Cake Creations was amazing!!!! The cake was just like the pic, I sent her. The taste was so yummy, so moist, best cake flavors I have ever tasted. The kicker was, it snowed on our wedding day. I was so worried the cake would not get there. I do not even know why, I was so worried. Margie not only got the cake there in the snow, but she was early on her delivery time:) I love this vendor. I can not wait to order more cakes from her. She has a loyal customer for life. Our wedding cake was just the best. My maid of honor told me about Margie and Artistic Cake Creations, I am so happy she shared her with us. The cake was just like the photo I had sent her. But the price was way less :) The cake was moist and so good. Best tasting cake I have ever had. Trust me, we tasted several other cakes, Artistic Cake Creations, was by far the best of them all. Margie is so kind and wonderful to work with!! We heard about her wonderful cakes and reached out to her. She met us at a Panera Bread in Virginia and brought six flavors of cakes and maybe 15 flavors of filling. SHE IS SUCH A GIFTED BAKER! We knew from the first bite that she was the one!

Our cake was three layers: rum cake, chocolate cherry, and champagne cake with strawberry filling. Our guests were raving about how delicious the cake was! Our cake looked exactly like the photographs we sent to her, at a fraction of the price of most DC area bakeries.

We saved some cake for the day after our wedding and really savored it! Such a special treat. Margie was a gem to work with and we plan to work with her anytime we need a cake in the future!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Margie was wonderful and was able to put all of the many cake ideas together to come up with the perfect one. When I saw the cake at the reception it was exactly what I wanted and thought it was beautiful. Not only did it look exactly like I wanted but it tasted just as good as it looked! Artistic cake creations did a phenomenal job with my wedding cake! I cannot express how grateful I am. Margie was very flexible to squeeze me in only a month before my wedding, was quick to respond to my emails and the price for the cake was very affordable. She also was able to deliver my cake to MD at a very reasonable price. In terms of quality her cake tastes great, she was able to replicate the picture of what i wanted beautifully and my guests loved it. I would highly recommend artistic cake creation to anyone. Margie was a dream to work with and oh my goodness her cakes are to die for! She was one of the most flexible vendors I worked with, even delivering cake samples after our first tasting when we requested a flavor she didnt originally bring. The cake was moist and the icing and filling were delicious. She is BY FAR one of the easiest people to work with, and she has the BEST PRICES around. She even lets you customize each layer differently and offers premium fillings for no extra charge! We received many compliments on the cake. Highly recommended!

All I can say is WOW, Margie, WOW....
We got married at a vineyard, and I knew I wanted something to go with that theme, but I did not want it to be too cheesy. I gave Margie some realy bad idea pics and tried very poorly to explain what we wanted... Margie just seemed to go inside my head!!! She gave us a cake that was perfect, she piped vines and delicate grapes, it looked too pretty to cut. However, once you did cut it, you did not want to stop eating it, the best tasting cake ever!!!!! So moist, such unique flavors. We are so happy we booked with Margie. Margie is AMAZING! The cake was just as I wanted. Margie was able to get the buttercream so smooth it looked like fondant. It tasted better than any other cake I have ever eaten. We used Artistic Cake Creations for our July wedding. Working with Margie was such a treat as she was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful. The costs are simply unbeatable! The cake was absolutely beautiful and done exactly as asked. While I only ate the one bite for the cake-cutting photos, our guests indicated that it was quite delicious! We are so happy that we went with them for our cake as the costs from other bakeries was at least double if not more. The cake was beautiful and overall service excellent. Thanks Margie!

Margie was so easy to work with!! Our cake tasting was so much fun and she was very flexible with our meeting place. I have enjoyed many of Margie's cakes over the past couple of years, so when it was my turn to get married, I absolutely had to have a "Margie cake" for our wedding! You can't beat the price and the quality of the cake is top notch. She worked with me to combine 4 pictures of cakes that I liked! The final result was both beautiful and tasty! We were absolutely pleased with the cakes Margie made for our wedding. They were exactly what we wanted, at a fraction of the cost, and people are still raving about how good they were. She was able to take our idea and run with it, and it came out perfect. At the tasting, she came to us (she's in West Virginia, we're in Virginia) and not only brought flavors we had requested, but also some additional ones for us to try that we had not thought of (and a couple of which we ended up using!). Why pay an absurd price for a cake when you can have a beautiful, delicious cake, custom designed any way you want for an INCREDIBLY AFFORDABLE price. From the moment we met Margie, we were sold. She's down to earth, chill, really sweet and makes delicious cakes. She had us taste many combinations, had me email her a photo of what I wanted and delivered the exact cake we were hoping for. Margie was wonderful! She had so many samples for me to try it was awesome! She bent the rules a little for me because i was a referral from another Bride that happened to share the same wedding date she agreed to do mine- which meant 2 wedding cakes on the same day in 2 different states. She rocked. She was prompt, professional and poised. We we first met she said she was so blessed that Brides she did years ago - shes making their childrens birthday cakes and lets just say i hope i can share the same story! My wedding was 6/11/11 and only a few pieces of cake were left. I mailed her a swatch of fabric from one of the bridesmaid dresses and she matched the picture i gave her as a template to a T. She is the best deal within the tristate area and i feel so blessed to of had her for my day! Ive heard horror stories of people spending thousands on wedding cake when Margie was reasonable enough in price and delievery it. Kudos and many shout outs to come!

We were thrilled with our wedding cake from Margie. It was beautiful - exactly what we'd asked for - and delicious! Margie was very responsive, professional and easy to work with. The cost was unbelievable for such wonderful cake flavor and filling combinations, and she even delivered the cake to us for a very reasonable price. Margie, has done several cakes for me over the past few years and they have always been EXCELLENT, and beyond my satisfaction.

To the ass that stated Margie did not make your cake. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM! Margies policy has always been 1/2 with contract and 1/2 at delivery... I have been dealing with her for over 8 years and the concept is quite simple... If YOU SEND IN THE CONTRACT ON TIME AND PAY YOU GET YOUR PRODUCT. Margie is in high demand and you have to book early she has always said that upfront and you need to book her months in advance...

Margie made the cake for my wedding in September. Her cake was AMAZING!! Not only did it look exactly like what I asked for, but it tasted delicious. Everyone raved about the cake, and many people said they had 2 or 3 pieces. She also came HIGHLY recommended by a good friend of mine whose wedding she did. When I emailed Margie she was already booked for the day, but agreed to fit us in after I begged for her to take us. Im so glad she did because the end result was amazing. She also referred us to the woman we ended up using for our wedding planner, who was equally as wonderful. Margie was always kind, accommodating, and professional. I wouldn't think of using anyone else if I ever needed another cake. And on top of all of this, her price was VERY AFFORDABLE. You cannot get a better deal for a cake of this quality in the dc area.

He claimed, “The check is in the mail”. I never received any payment, so I would not sign the contract until payment was received. Then a while after he first inquired, he said he was finally mailing his deposit. I informed him that all my slots were now full. He got very irate and called me, and was not very kind. He then sent me several unkind e-mails.
For what it is worth, I did, and do feel bad that I could not make his daughter’s cake. I am only ONE person, and can only do so many cakes per week. Like all bakeries, and most business, it is first come first serve. I even went so far as to e-mail him other bakeries in that area to try and help him find someone else to make the cake. Even though he was very irate with me. I never lost my temper…in fact every conversation and e-mail I had with him, I ended with may God Bless you and your family. And I truly hope God does Bless us all:)

I have ordered two cakes from Margie (one for my son's first birthday party and the other for my friend's baby shower which she was having twins). The cakes were gorgeous and so tasty! At both parties, I recieved abounds of complements on her cakes and they were highlights at each party. I will never order cakes from anyone else but Margie. My cake was AMAZING!!!!!! Margie is soooo sweet. The cake was so pretty we did not want to cut it. We wanted buttercream, not fondant, we do not care for the taste of fondant. Margie got the buttercream so smooth that many of my guest, including my day of planner, thought it was fondant. Her cakes taste even better than they look:) So many flavors to choose from. We wne with her champagne cake with strawberry mousse for the bottom layer, and chocolate cherry cake with Bailey's Irish Cream mousse for the other 2 layers. Her prices can not be beat. She is so easy to work with, and I never felt like I was asking silly questions. She made me feel like I was her only bride, even when I know that is not true...I loved this vendor!!!!

Margie of Artistic Cake Creations was the absolute best! First I would like to say she was very professional and a total pleasure to work with. My wife and I actually had fun at the cake tasting. Margie was very creative and detailed in our cake creation. Margie was very prompt in her communications. She made us feel as though we were her only clients. Margie was extremely fair and very reasonable in the cost of her services. And last but most importantly, the cake was absolutely DELICIOUS! My wedding was in the fall of 2007 and I went with white and silver with touches of Tiffany blue. I really wanted my cake to stand out. I had some ideas, and Margie helped me firm up a design & gave me tips and suggestions, all while letting it be my design.

She came to us for the tasting, which was fantastic because we were in Anne Arundel county, but the wedding was in Taneytown (Carroll County) in Maryland. All of her cake flavors & filling favors were so delicious, and her buttercream icing, mmmmmm yum! I wanted a cake with very smooth Tiffany blue icing with a white lacy overlay. I like the look of fondant, but the taste of buttercream, and she iced the cake beautifully, just like I had imagined & the color was perfect.

I had 100 people at my wedding and had a cake for 200 and every bit(save for the top tier) was eaten or taken in cake bags by my guests. When we defrosted the top tier for our 1 year anniversary it was just as good as the day of our wedding!

Margie was a dream to work with! She was always so kind, she put up with my millions of questions and endless e-mails. Her ideas were wonderful. She even helped me find my florist! She is so sweet. The cake, was perfect! Just like the drawing she made for us. So many of my guests said how yummy the cake was. Margie lets you do different cake flavors for each layer at no extra fee, which my guests LOVED. I can not say enogh great things about her...Love her, love her cakes...

I am so glad that we booked Margie! She is a talented baker, and we loved going out to Charlestown for our tasting. We decided to have a marble cake with caramel filling between some layers and mocha between others. At the wedding the cake looked gorgeous and tasted WONDERFUL. We got tons of compliments on it, and Margie even delivered it from West Virginia to Alexandria for a very, very reasonable price. In fact, the wedding cake was the most econimical we could find anywhere, and tasted better than many cakes we've had at weddings. We opted to use butter cream for frosting, but the cake looked so smooth and beautiful a lot of people expected fondant. Margie was very helpful when we were deciding about decorations and was very open about costs. I would definitely recommend using her.

The cake was delicious and beautiful and my husbands surprise grooms cake was wonderful. Margie was very easy to work with and the fact that she came from West Virginia to do a tasting with us and she brought so many flavors was very impressive. She was also very, very responsive to any email that she sent. My husband is very picky about cake and he found a winner with Margie. We are definitely looking forward to 1st year anniversary.

Margie is a FENOMINAL decorator AND baker. This cake is STILL being raved about today...over a year past my wedding.

I figured I was out of luck with bride/groom cake part of the reception because I cannot have sugar and was getting nowhere with any vendors making a sugar free cake for me. Right away Margie said she had never made a Splenda cake but she would try. She showed up with samples of both regular and Splenda when we did the taste test. I had a designated friend taste the sugar cakes and fillings and I tasted the sugar free cakes and fillings. They were WONDERFUL! She ended up making the entire top layer Splenda friendly and I was able to do the feeding of the cake at the reception. Everyone tells me that my wedding cake was the tastiest the y ever had and the most beautiful. She handmade leaves and sunflowers to go with my theme. All this plus she delivered the cake so stealthily that I never even saw her there.

A friend also booked her for my shower cakewith a section on the top being made from Splenda so I could eat that too. We had the very top tier cake on our 1 year anniversary she had prepackaged it for us so that it would freeze at its best. And boy did it ever! We really enjoyed eating our cake and watching the wedding video on our first anniversary. Please choose Artistic Cake Creations for your special event! Margie is wonderfulyou will NOT be disappointed.

Simply AMAZING! Four different yummy flavors, moist yummy cake for 200 ppl, for about $300! You just cant beat that! Note though that if u do different flavors ur guests might take more than one piece so they can try all the flavors! I didnt think of that and not everyone had cake! :)

I was blown away by the wedding cake. Margie did a fantastic job recreating my design and the cake tasted wonderful. She's a dream to work. Margie returns emails promptly, is more than willing to make any flavor combo you want, and was very helpful providing ideas when we were designing the cake. Margie - what can I say? You are AWESOME! Our cake was a HIT! Margie came highly recommended from a lot of local brides, and for good reason. Her cake was as beautiful as it was yummy. And it was affordable. We ordered a 3 tiered cake w/ different flavored filling. (1st tier - cherry chocolate cake w/ bailey's irish cream buttercream filling; 2nd tier - white chocolate cake w/ peach schnapps buttercream filling; 3rd tier - butter pecan cake w/ caramel buttercream filling). The cake was exactly what I didn't know that I wanted! We gave Margie a sketch of what we had in mind, and she made it happen beautifully. Margie is a stay at home mom who only does 1 cake per weekend, so she books up fast. Her prices start around $1.25 a slice; she is based out of WV, but does travel, for a nominal delivery charge and does free tastings out of her home. She also made us a custom cake topper which was soooo cute. By far, one of my favorite vendors! A+++++++++

WOW! I have never been at a wedding where the entire cake was eaten by choice. My new husband says, "You should just write 'best wedding cake ever.'" It was beautiful and delicious. The price couldn't be beat! Margie showed me so many pictures of cakes and was inspired by my dress to create a beautiful edible design. She created bride and groom chocolate covered strawberries for the top which were adorable! She delivered our cake all the way to Bel Air, Maryland for a completely reasonable delivery fee. We wish our 1st anniversary was tomorrow so we could eat the rest!

Margie is an amazing custom cake designer who I contacted for my wedding. Aside from being the most pleasant vendor to work with, she gave me the most beautiful cakes! I told her exactly what I wanted and on the wedding day, I was wowed - she had delivered more than I could've expected. Margie is nice, professional, and very accommodating. She is very creative, and she excited about the work she does, both artistically and from a culinary standpoint. Even though she lives in WV, it isn't that far to get there, and I think she will come to you for a tasting at your house if you want to do it that way. We opted to go up there and stay overnight at a B&B and see some historical sites. She delivers her cakes for either a very nominal fee or free (depending on proximity, I guess.) And her cakes are extremely reasonable, especially considering how wonderful they are.

She offers millions of flavor combinations, all of which are delicious. You will find that the hardest part of choosing your cake flavors will actually be to narrow them down to just a few. If you have no idea what you want, she will work with you to come up with a few ideas to include in your tasting. Her tastings are wonderful in both presentation and the personalized service she provides. You feel like she really cares about both her craft and the customer. We didn't even have to think about doing other tastings -- we were hooked on the spot.

I also decided to get a groom's cake for my now-husband, and it was fabulous. He is a huge Steelers fan, and she had a few football themes that she offered. My husband loved the cake, as did our guests at the rehearsal. We even had someone come up to us who remarked on how great it looked and asked where we got it.

I highly recommend this vendor!

Margie is an incredible value in the DC area for wedding cakes. You can get mousse fillings and several cake flavors at no additional charge. I'm not a huge cake fan, but the cake was tasty. All of it was eaten at my wedding. My cake turned out very pretty - I wanted something simple with just buttercream piping, and Margie delivered! Also, the tasting was really fun!

Wonderful vendor! It was a delight working with Margie. Fantastic tasting cake; nice presentation, tremendous value starting at $1.25/slice. I didn't want to spend over $3.50 a slice for the wedding cake. I tasted with 4 bakers within that range and Artistic Cake Creations was by far the best. Her cakes are extremely good. She has a great personality and her prices can't be beat. She helped with info on cake stand rental places in the area. She was always very responsive to all my questions or concerns.

If you are looking to cut costs, this is the perfect place to purchase your wedding cake. I didn't want to spend upwards of $1,000+ like many bakeries charge in the DC area. Our wedding cake turned out great!

Margie's cake was beautiful and so tasty! I loved that she was able to do a bunch of different awesome flavors for us. (One tier tasted like Reese's cups!) Don't let her location discourage you from checking her out. Her delivery charge to Baltimore was comparable to the delivery charge of bakeries IN Baltimore.

My only regret is that we didn't order more cake! You may want to order a separate mini cake just for yourselves because your guests will gobble up all the cake before you get a chance.

I really enjoyed working with Margie, from Artistic Cake Creations, on our wedding cake. She is very sweet and was extremely responsive whenever I had questions or concerns throughout the planning. I think her cake is delicious, which was my biggest concern when choosing a wedding cake. Her cakes have a homemade taste that my husband and I really enjoyed at the tasting. In addition, I like that she has a ton of flavors to choose from and let us try as many as we wanted at our tasting. We got different flavors for each layer of the cake and even two extra sheet cakes, so people were able to choose from different varieties of cake. We received many compliments on the cake.

Margie did an great job with our wedding cake! It was very delicious too!! I won a contest with them so I got a great deal! Only criticism I have is it wasn't the original design that we talked about so there was a little confusion there. But it was a design that we did talk about and still turned out great! I would highly recommend her!

First off, her prices cannot be beat, and the flavors of our cake were fantastic! The cake decoration part was where points were lost. First off, our wedding color was purple -- the cake came in blue, with the fondant decorations very thick, so it looked less clean/modern. Granted, these are things that probably only I noticed, the guests certainly didn't. Also, we had a "sweetheart cake" with my partners geckos on it. We sent her pictures of the orange geckos .. said we wanted realistic looking (not cartoony) geckos. We got cartoony green geckos. All in all, if you are looking for a fairly traditional, delicious, and budget-conscious cake, this would be a great vendor. If you want something sleeker, and have some $$ to spare, you may want to consider someone else.

Horrible!....She may make great cakes that are affordable, but worst customer service I have ever dealt with! She told us she would do a cake for us....she sent us the contract and told us to fill it out and send 1/2 the payment. I emailed back the contract, and then sent her an email just letting her know I mailed out a check. Then she responded back telling me she had too many cakes for that day sorry....Left an active duty member high and dry!
