A Sweet Highlight of Our Wedding

We had an amazing experience with Artisan Bake Shop! Meredith and Tabitha created the most perfect wedding cake and dessert table for our fall 2025 wedding. They completely understood our wedding theme and designed a cake and dessert table that matched our décor perfectly. Everything turned out exactly how we envisioned it, and it tasted just as incredible. We even froze some leftover slices and just finished the last one recently, and it was still delicious.
The dessert table was stunning and such a hit with our guests. Everyone loved being able to choose from a variety of desserts. If anyone is questioning whether or not to do a dessert table, just look at their options and try a tasting—you will not be disappointed! We are a very dessert-focused family, and we loved everything. It was so hard to make a decision.
Meredith and Tabitha are incredibly talented, creative, and wonderful to work with. They truly helped make our wedding day—and our dessert dreams—perfect. We would highly recommend Artisan Bake Shop to all future couples!

Meredith is awesome

Dealing with Meredith was such an amazing experience, from beginning to end i can't say enough about how much this was worth, honestly more than a 5-star review. Literally from going to the testing and going home with all the different flavors to on my wedding day and hearing how many people said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. No surprise to say that there were no leftovers at all after the wedding was over. Make sure you try the carrot cake, it was delicious.

The Perfect Wedding Cake!

As soon as we picked up the wedding cake tasting kit from Artisan, we knew we'd have to go with them for our wedding. Every sample bite of cake and frosting made it harder to decide what combination we wanted -- they're ALL delicious and you can't go wrong! We ended up choosing a champagne cake with raspberry filling, and Meredith really impressed us with all her different design concepts inspired by our wedding color palette and aesthetics. The result was a cake that everyone loved -- one friend who's a huge dessert fanatic called it the best wedding cake he'd ever tasted, and we agree! Our only regret from the wedding day is not being able to eat more of it, but as a lovely final touch, Meredith gave us the option of freezing a piece or a gift card for her to make us a new piece the next time we visit town. We can't wait to have it again!

Wedding Cake

Meredith was great in helping us design our wedding cake. We started off with designs and a tasting box where we were able to sample many delicious cup cakes with different frostings. The wedding cake was perfect, it was exactly what we imagined. We received so many compliments on how the cake looked and even more on how it tasted! Artisan Bake Shop was an easy choice for us and we will definitely be using them for events in the future!

Delicious and stunning cake!

We are so glad we chose Artisan Bake Shop to design our wedding cake! Meredith was a dream to work with, and stayed in touch with us throughout the months leading up to our big day. During our tasting and consultation, she was warm and welcoming, and really listened to what we were looking for to try to perfectly match our vision. She even had an elegant silver plateau stand that was exactly what I had been looking for! Another thing I loved about working with Meredith was that she was very conscious of our guest’s’ dietary restrictions. She was thoughtful enough to offer to make individual cupcakes for anyone who couldn’t eat our other desserts. To fit our rustic-elegant theme, we chose a lemon cake with berry jam filling that made even this chocolate-lover’s mouth water! My husband, who prefers cookies to cake, couldn’t stop talking about it either! We are looking forward to having it again on our anniversary and making it a yearly tradition!

Delicious and beautiful cake!

We had a small, intimate wedding in which the cake was part of a package. As a result, we did not choose Artisan Bake Shop but feel so lucky that it was the bakery included in our package! Our cake was beautifully done, and absolutely delicious! Our guests kept going back for more! We had the champagne cake with buttercream and strawberry preserves. The tasting box was perfect for helping us decide on flavors, but it was difficult because everything was delicious! Would absolutely use Artisan for future events/parties/bakery needs!

The best in the business!

e used Artisan Bake Shop for our wedding shower & wedding. For our wedding shower, Meredith & her team whipped together a cake in a weeks notice. You never would’ve known, because the details of the cake were so beautiful. It tasted even more amazing! For our wedding we did a 2 tier cake, kitchen cake & multiple cupcakes options. Everything was to die for! The cake absolutely exceeded my expectations. Meredith & her team brought my vision to life & it was beautiful beyond words. Such Attention to Detail!

Meredith was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with! She took the time to understand my needs, my husband's needs and the needs of all our guests. Knowing what life with food allergies is like myself, it was very important to me to make sure that all our guests could eat the wedding cake and Meredith made this happen! She took such attention to detail and provided all our guests with allergies with their own individually packaged cupcake! And our wedding day was one of our best friend's birthdays so she baked him a cake so we could celebrate him as well at our wedding! We can't wait to go back and get our 1 year anniversary cake through her next year! HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful!

The most beautiful cake!! The artistic creativity and fine detail put into our cake was outstanding! From the direction of the frosting, to the type of birch bark we liked, to the cute little sugar sunflowers, our cake was so unique. They also make a delicious gluten free alternative which we ordered a few cupcakes in. We got so many compliments on the cakes and they were gorgeous in photos. Highly recommend!

Delicious, amazing prices, and honest - Book her!

Meredith is one of the most warm, kind, talented people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with! She made the entire process easy as cake! (sorry, I couldn't resist) Seriously, Meredith helped us navigate decorating the tables, to choosing the right combo of styles for adventurous and boring, and even made recommendations that fit with our theme (S'mores cupcakes UM YES!) She also helped us stay in our cake budget, which we didn't even know where to start with! Our wedding cake was also SO delicious that after we did our picture moment of cake cutting, I walked around and fork fed my family bites. Literally the best cake I have EVER had. Book Artisan Bake Shop, you will thank yourself (and Meredith!) later, I promise you.

The Most Delicious Cake You'll Ever Have

Our cake was PHENOMENAL and SO beautiful! We have gotten many desserts from Artisan in the past and this just topped it off. We never hesitate when thinking of where we want to go to get a dessert for a special occasion because we know that Artisan will always exceed our expectations. We had the chocolate cake with marshmallow filling and a buttercream frosting for one option, and a vanilla cake with strawberry puree filling and buttercream frosting as a second option and they were just incredible. If you're trying to decide if you should go with Artisan for your wedding cake, wedding dessert, or any dessert in general, DO IT! You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful and delicious cakes!

All I can say is YUM!! If you're even on the fence of a baker to go with, going to a tasting with Artisan Bake Shop will help you make up your mind. My husband is not really into sweets, especially cake, so I was thinking if he didn't really like anything at our tasting, maybe we'd go with another dessert option. But wow! We were both blown away with the number of cake, frosting, and filling flavors available. The amount provided at the tasting was so generous (and they didn't mind my sister attending too), and it was so difficult to choose a favorite, even for my husband.

We ended up ordering three cakes, all with different flavors, and our guests loved them! Not only were the cakes beautiful (we went with the "semi-naked" cake style), but even the non-dairy chocolate that we ordered was just as delicious as the normal chocolate flavor we tried at our tasting. We can't wait for our 1st year anniversary to have more cake, but we'll have to make the tough decision on which flavor to order! We highly recommend Artisan Bake Shop (even my not-usually-cake-loving husband)!

The best wedding cake and cupcakes

Meredith did an amazing job on my wedding cake and cupcakes. They were delicious and we got rave reviews from our wedding guests including one who said “not only is this the best cupcake I’ve ever had, but it’s the best piece of food I’ve ever put in my mouth”. Not only were they delicious but they were beautiful and my cake table looked amazing. From the amazing cake tasting, I knew Meredith was a true baking genius. I can’t wait for my anniversary cake.

Beautiful magical and delicious desserts!

Meredith was a dream to work with from day 1. She and her team are honest, caring, organized, and upfront with all of their information. Choosing our cake design and cupcakes was the easiest part of the whole wedding planning. From the cake tasting to the delivery on our wedding day, everything was lovely, and so tasty! The prices are very reasonable for the beautiful edible art that was the literal icing on the cake. Our cake, cupcake tower, and French macarons were sensational, there were zero leftovers, our guests enjoyed every bite. The only downfall was that our cake topper didn't fit on top of the cake, but that was our fault for not measuring it before hand and it still made a cute decoration in the dessert display. When I have the professional pictures I will post more :)

Decadent and elegant cupcakes

Meredith is such a talented baker and artist. From out very first tasting we we hooked on her selection and displays. Our wedding cupcakes were a hit and our guests are still raving about the delicious, filling dessert. She even made a special cupcake for our guests with dietary restrictions in addition to the 4 different selections of cupcakes, we cannot wait to have them all over again on our one year anniversary.

Meredith and her team are amazing!! Meredith put together a beautiful desert bar and slicing cake for our wedding down the Cape at the Pelham House Resort.

I knew we would book with Artisan Bake Shop as soon as we began our tasting. The tasting was amazing – everything was delicious and presented beautifully. Meredith was extremely patient and accommodating and helped us to put together a wide selection of deserts; she even drew us different options for a custom-designed slicing cake. She is extremely organized and had tons of pictures for us to look at; she was also easy to contact if any questions came up.

The day of our wedding Meredith came to our venue and personally set up the desert bar to make sure it looked just the way we had envisioned. It looked amazing and everything was delicious – everyone was saying how wonderful it was. We can’t wait to use our gift card Meredith gave us for our 1-year anniversary. I highly recommend booking Artisan Bake Shop for your wedding!

My daughter found Artisan a few years ago for a family function. We have used them for every bakery need since. We went for a tasting about 9 months ago for my daughters 8/4/18 wedding. Meredith was so skilled and experienced in helping us create a cake design and dessert table. The cake tasting was delicious and helped us decide on our flavors. They had books with many cakes flavors and textures. They arrived at the venue at the perfect time with a beautiful birch decorated 3 tier cake. They asked that our florist leave flowers at the table and they used them to decorate the cake and table with. The cake and desserts were displayed on beautiful glass and white raised dishes supplied by the bakery. We did a variety of flavors, with lemon curd filling in the cake, red velvet whoppie pies, peanut butter chocolate bars, mini berry pies in a cup, apple cinnamon donut holes and key lime pie cups. Everything was so good and the perfect portions for a small treat. The mini pies were in small tins with little wooden spoons. The key lime pie were in little plastic cups and a huge hit with not 1 left. I highly recommend Artisan Bake Shop. Their desserts are different and bursting with flavor and their prices won't break the bank!

Meredith and her team are the best! You can tell that Meredith absolutely loves what she does. Once I met Meredith, I knew that we had to book her for our wedding. She is so professional and so friendly. During the cake tasting, we sat with her and told her our vision and looked through samples. She sat there and hand drew so many designs for us, I was SO impressed. After picking one of her designs, I was so excited to see it play out in real life. The cake looked beautiful and most importantly, it tasted delicious! We picked 2 flavors and our guests kept coming up to us asking what each was and saying how they loved them both. I am so happy we picked Meredith and the Artisan Bake Shop team. My husband and I are so excited to go back for our anniversary.

We ordered our wedding cake from Artisan bake shop and not only was our cake beautiful but it was delicious! Meredith, the owner, is very nice and met with us for a consultation/tasting and had a ton of cake, fillings and buttercreams that we could taste leading to a ton of possible flavor combinations. She drew us a few different possible cake designs and then listened to our feedback and drew a few more, doing that until we found the perfect cake. She priced everything out for us right there which was very nice and left no surprises.
Not only was the cake some of the best I have ever had but the main reason we choose the artisan bake shop was her allergy friendly cakes. My sister, my maid of honor, has celiac disease and I was ready to buy a whole gluten free wedding cake so she could have a piece of it. Lucky we did not have to do that because Meredith includes allergy friendly cupcakes for wedding guest with food allergies. This is an amazing policy and allowed my guest with food allergies to still be able to enjoy cake.

Artisan Bake Shop made every step of ordering our wedding cake personalized, fun, and stress free! They were able to integrate my husband's and my ideas & inspirations into our dream wedding cake, all while working within a budget. On the day of the wedding, I did not have to worry about a thing, as the wedding cake was professionally delivered and set up. The cake was absolutely delicious! I also purchased a groom's cake through Artisan Bake Shop, which was handled with the same level of professionalism as my wedding cake.

Six weeks after our wedding I still daydream daily about the fabulous desserts that Meredith and her team whipped up for our wedding. We did a dessert bar with cookies, bars, mini pies and pudding shooters with a two-tiered blueberry citrus wedding cake as the centerpiece—everything was beyond amazing. In addition to the desserts being both delicious and beautiful, and Meredith being so easy to work with, there were a few little details that made the experience all the more special. We had several gluten free people at the wedding and Meredith requested their names and table numbers in advance so she could put together personal boxes for each of them with items from the table that were gluten free, in some cases even altering the recipe slightly if it was an individual shooter. She also made up a box of desserts for my husband and I to take home at the end of the night (and devour the next day) and for the first anniversary she provides a gift card to use for a new cake in lieu of needing to freeze yours for a year. Thank you so much, Meredith and team! I only wish we lived closer so we could have your delicious treats more often.

Absolutely everything was perfect! My husband and I went early in our planning, completely unprepared for our appointment. Meredith handled it no problem, and within our time we had designed our cake, with only minor changes later on, and selected our flavors. Later, when I called to confirm our order about a month out, Meredith prompted me for information on our dietary-challenged guests, of which we had many! Not to worry, she jumped right in and made selections for each of them that they were able to enjoy. Day of, the cake arrived in beautiful condition, sat on it's table all evening exceeding our hopes for presentation, and when it was finally time to eat, it tasted fantastic! We had four tiers and opted to do 2 different flavors (awesome choice, by the way!) My husband and I are eagerly awaiting our anniversary when we can go back and use our certificate!

Our custom dessert bar was one of the things at our wedding that people are still talking about a month later. Meredith and her team were wonderful to work with. From the start, we don't live nearby, and they were flexible about getting us a tasting box to go so that we could taste everything on our own schedule, despite the fact that we could only get to the bakery on a day that they happened to be out of town. They gave great guidance on how much of everything we needed, how many different things would be too much, and where to buy the candy that we wanted to add to our table. The displays that they provided for our tables were perfect for our decor (classic and a bit rustic as well), and they arrived and set everything up perfectly, complete with signage. And of course, everything was DELICIOUS. They offer such a great variety and so many of our favorite things. We opted to not have a wedding cake but nobody missed it - everyone was thrilled with the whoopie pies, cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, and single serve strawberry shortcakes and key lime pies! We also had our candy shipped directly to them and they handled everything which made it so easy for us. I will definitely be buying more baked goods from them even though the wedding's over!

Not only was our cake so beautiful but it was absolutely delicious, we had compliments from just about everyone! (My mother even snuck a second piece). I can't say how much we loved working with Meredith! My husband, maid of honor and I went to Artisan Bake shop in the early spring for a cake tasting and we had the best time! I had no idea what I was looking for in a cake but Meredith let us take as much time as we needed to taste everything, gave suggestions on combinations for cake and filling, and drew us several sketches. About two weeks before the wedding it dawned on me that I had a guest with a gluten allergy- I was worried it was too late to come up with anything at that point but Meredith emailed me back almost right away and said not to worry - they would provide a gluten free alternative at no extra charge. For a bride doing 100 things two weeks before their wedding - I couldn't have been more grateful and relieved! My husband and I were amazed when last week we pulled out our contract and compared it to the picture of our actual cake. It was spot on! Meredith is the sweetest person, and made us the most amazing wedding cake and cupcakes. The consultation day was one of my favorite days of planning. She was able to take our ideas, and come up with a beautiful cake and cupcakes (We didn’t even know we wanted cupcakes!) . She incorporated all the features I liked in a cake, and came up with pages of designs, that we were able to choose from. She made it extremely easy, fun, and truly shows her incredible talents. The cake was the best cake I have ever had, and we were able to choose lots of fun flavors for the cupcakes. I was beyond impressed with her artistic and baking talents, as well as her beautiful personality.

My husband and I used Artisan for our wedding on June 3. The minute we met with Meredith we knew from the start she was the one who we wanted to design our cake and cupcakes. She has you go in for a tasting and while you try her many amazing options she also helps you design your dream cake. We decided to do a two tier carrot cake with 200 cupcakes, half vanilla and half chocolate. She narrowed down the design we wanted and we immediately fell in love. We had one special request and that was that our puppy Winston who is a Boston Terrier be peeking from behind the cake. Let me tell you when I saw the cupcake display and the cake I lost it. It was absolutely everything my husband and I envisioned and our guests still are talking about how amazing the cupcakes were and how beautifully everything was displayed, most people even had more than one because they were so good! If you are looking for someone who can make your every dream come true for your cake, cupcakes or desserts I would only suggest you use Meredith from Artisan!!!

Meredith of Artisan Bake shop created our wedding cake last September for our wedding on the Cape and it was nothing short of spectacular! I don’t have an artistic bone in my body, and was so relieved that Meredith could take a few key elements that I had in mind for our cake and turn it into a masterpiece!
My husband has gluten free dietary needs, and we were so thankful that Meredith could not only create a beautiful design but a delicious cake to boot! Our beach- inspired cake displayed starfish, beach chairs, ocean waves and sand on top of carrot cake with cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting. SO YUMMY!!
I was so impressed to find that Meredith left us a hand-written card with voucher for a free replica of our wedding cake on our 1 year anniversary. What a special surprise. We currently live in MN and can’t wait to take a trip back to MA to experience it again!! I highly recommend Artisan Bake shop!

Meredith is amazing and so incredibly talented! She has created the most beautiful cakes for all of my friends weddings and showers, so it was a no brainer to hire her for our wedding cake. My bridesmaids also had her make my shower cake. Both were so delicious! We could not be more thrilled with Artisan Bake Shop! Meredith is SO friendly and an amazing baker. I have high expectations for anything CAKE, and I'm not joking when I say Artisan Bake Shop provided the best cake and cupcakes we've ever had. The Artisan Bake Shop is so much fun to work with. The minute you walk through the door you smell the delicious goodies that are baking (or have been baked throughout the day). Then you work with a designer who takes your ideas and sketches out a number of ways your cake could look based on your suggestions. Your meeting is topped off with a cake testing complete with fillings and frostings that make it so hard to decided because they are all so good. Our wedding experience with the Artisan Bake Shop was Five Star. We used them for the bridal shower as well as the wedding. We highly recommend them!

Meredith and her staff at Artisan Bake Shop are unbelievable! Our tasting with Meredith was amazing, she laid out a variety of different cupcakes and frostings/toppings so we could make our own combinations, plus a tasting plate of other small bites like cake pops and mini cookies, as we planned to do a dessert table. We ended up choosing three cupcakes, chocolate cake with coconut mounds topping, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and a lemon cake with raspberry preserves filling and vanilla buttercream. PLUS a small cutting cake (vanilla cake with chocolate and pb filling), which was delicious and beautiful, and accompanying vanilla cake pops, mini cookie sandwiches and to-die-for brownies! On the day of the wedding, her team assembled a gorgeous dessert table, with their provided platters (available for rent). I can't wait to receive our fresh anniversary cake next September! :)

Meredith and her staff are not only very talented, but also extremely professional and knowledgeable. We had a few issues with our original venue (at no fault of our's) and Meredith was so helpful in making an extremely stressful situation a lot easier. Due to how close the changes had to be made, I ended up just sending Meredith some pictures of my decor and she created a few options for me - they were awesome! I am so happy with the end design and they tasted AWESOME. Definitely using Artisan Bake Shop for all my parties from now on!

Meredith was great to work with. We did a dessert bar with a small wedding cake and it looked beautiful! Her tasting was great, she will draw sketches up while you are tasting your options. My experience with Artisan Bake Shop could not have been better. I knew they were the cake vendor for me as soon as I arrived for my tasting. The ingredients were super fresh and I was able to pick my own combinations of flavors. The designer spent a lot of time with me figuring out my style. The drawing she presented me with was ultimately exactly how my cake turned out. And not only was it beautiful, it was tasty too!

I can't even begin to describe how great it was working with Meredith for our wedding cake! She was absolutely amazing from the very beginning and was so meticulous about every little detail of our cake. I have to say out of all the vendors we met with she was the most engaged and helpful when it came to designing the cake. Every flavor we tried was nothing short of amazing and it was so hard to choose but in the end we went with the caramel cake with caramel filling and the lemon cake with lemon curd and strawberry preserves and they were to die for! We are still hearing compliments about the cake and that was one of the most important things for me and she nailed it! If you haven't found your cake baker yet I HIGHLY recommend Artisan Bake Shop!!!

I agree with the below review - I think Artisan was our favorite vendor! We ended up choosing a few of the signature cakes and a couple of pies to fill out a dessert table (my husbands mom was also making treats to include). It was so reasonably priced and the cakes were SO GOOD! We went to pick up a sample kit in November for our May 21st wedding, picked everything out and sent over color swatches for specific colors we wanted. Everything came out exactly as we planned. I will say we way over-ordered for our number of guests, but that was completely our fault. The display looked beautiful! Guests were so happy with the different options. Definitely order from Artisan!

THANK YOU ARTISAN BAKE SHOP for making the most bad-ass wedding cake I have ever seen! I knew our wedding cake was going to look unique but Artisan Bake Shop went above and beyond our expectations. Our cake had skulls airbrushed on it and I found it difficult to find someone who not only could do this type of cake but was also enthusiastic about doing it. I got A LOT of weird looks from bakers when I mentioned the skulls. When we had our consultation, I was expecting the same weird look that I had been getting but I was completely wrong; Meredith was so enthusiastic about making our cake that I knew I made the right choice in choosing her. Not only did my cake look amazing (I wish I could post a picture of it here), it tasted great too.
Our only issue we had was that the kitchen staff didn't cut the cake properly so we had quite a bit of leftover cake....which really wasn't a problem

My wife and I were married in September, and had looked at two vendors for our cake back in February. We first met with Meredith from the Artisan Bake Shop and it was such a great experience. Towards the end of our appointment while Meredith was out of the room, my wife asked me if I even wanted to go to the next appointment, because we were so impressed. Just to make sure we covered all of our options, we did go to the other appointment and I'm glad we did. It made us realize even more just how amazing Meredith and her shop are. There was absolutely no comparison between our experience at Artisan and at the other shop. To start, the flavors and quality of product were perfect and well above expectations. She was also super kind, patient, and didn't try to sway us one way or another. Most importantly, she provided a personal one on one experience that made us feel that she really cared about what we wanted. Meredith took the time to ask us questions about what we envisioned, and crafted a custom cake to perfectly match our unique wedding theme. It honestly felt like a cake version of West Coast Customs. The cherry on top was that Artisan was the less expensive of the two vendors. Our decision couldn't have been easier and we couldn't have been happier with the result.

I'm so glad we used Meredith and Artisan Bake Shop for our wedding! We had two cakes (one two tiered) and another one tiered, as well as several pies. The display was stunningly gorgeous!

Not only was the display beautiful, but the desserts were delicious!! We ran out of cake, and only had a couple pies left over to take home! The two tiered cake was a naked cake-- lemon cake with vanilla buttercream and raspberry preserve filling, topped with fresh strawberries. The single tiered cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream icing and a lemon curd filling. We had three kinds of pies: strawberry rhubarb, apple, and blueberry.

We rented the display dishes from the bakeshop. They came by first thing in the morning and picked them up.

I'll definitely order cake from Meredith again in the future. So tasty!!

We hired Meredith at the Artisan Bake Shop to do the cake at our wedding October 2014. In our initial sit down meeting, I knew that I wanted to work with her. Not only was the tasting DELICIOUS, but she was the most efficient and professional vendor that we had encountered throughout the entire process. We actually had a second tasting and revised our design, and Meredith was accommodating throughout every step. The cake was beautiful and the flavor was perfect for the fall season: apple spice cake with caramel whit chocolate cream! We were also able to provide a few gluten free cupcakes for some of our guests with allergies. Also, we are excited to redeem our voucher for a small cake on our first anniversary! I have already recommended Meredith and the Artisan Bake Shop, and will definitely be using them again in the future.

I came across reviews for Artisan when I was searching reviews on wedding websites. Meredith's work and reviews far surpassed others I saw. I'm so glad that they did. I could not have been happier with the masterpiece she created for our big day. I had found a photo of a cake I loved and she replicated it to the T. When we met with her for our tasting, she was extremely open, helpful, and down to earth. I needed direction with certain things and it was clear that she's a true professional. She truly made the entire process seamless. Each and every flavor she has is out of this world. It was extremely difficult to make our flavor decisions, because each one was just as good as the others. On the big day, the cake came within perfect time. I teared up when I saw it because it was truly perfect. I'm still getting comments about how delicious and beautiful our cake was. We truly could not have been more pleased.

Meredith and everyone at Artisan Bake Shop was awesome to work with! My husband and I wanted a 3 foot long Jaws-themed cake (picture the scene where the shark was eating the back of the boat at the end) and Meredith exceeded our expectations! Meredith and Artisan Bake Shop is the absolute best you can get. She worked with us from design concept to delivery, the price was so affordable (we did a small 2 tier cake and cupcakes, that total fed 160 people), and the presentation was exceptional. Also, the cake was DELICIOUS. I don't even like cake (much prefer salty things)! but I would eat anything she bakes. Her biggest hits at our wedding were the lemon curd, vanilla, and buttercream cupcakes, and chocolate buttercream. She is so creative and a fantastic baker, I am frankly shocked that we could afford her. (We were really trying to keep costs under $600 for dessert for the 160 guests. I know that other people spend thousands on their cakes!) Her cakes taste like they should cost 4 times as much. And above all, she was a pleasure to work with and incredibly friendly.

As a lactose-intolerant bride, who is a picky foodie, I wanted a gourmet cake where my guests could still drool over moist cake goodness. Many bakers try to accomplish this, and fail with dry results. After much research, I found Artisan Bake Shop. Meredith was a delight to meet! My husband and I had the best time at our cake tasting and design session. Not on ly the sample of mix and match cake/filling fun to swap around, but she is an amazing artist. I found a whale cake topper online that I wanted made out of sugar. She sugar sculpted our whales with the colors of our bridal party. I had a white beluga whale with a veil and a bouquet that matched my real one, and the groom whale was a humpback with a top hat and glasses holding fins. My gorgeous vanilla and raspberry cake with the perfect little whale cake toppers were a hit! We loved the design, and taste, of the cake! ....so did our guests, who could not believe it was "dairy free" :) I am most grateful for Meredith and team's hardwork, cake tasting, and unique design. My husband and I chose the free small cake voucher instead of saving our top tier. This means we will be in touch as our first year anniversary approaches to chose and pick up a fresh little cake. Artisan Bake Shop did a great job with my wedding cake! We met with Meredith a few months before the wedding and even though we didn't have a lot of specific ideas of what we were looking for in terms of cake design she was able to provide a lot of ideas and guidance which was very helpful. She was so easy to work with and everything went seamlessly on the wedding day. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and was everything I had hoped for. It was also delicious and got rave reviews from my guests. I can't wait to go back for our anniversary cake next year!

Meredith did a fantastic job with the cakes for our wedding! We designed two cakes because my husband and I are gluten-free. Her gluten-free cakes are just as delicious as her regular cakes! She is very creative and also really fun and easy to work with. Our cakes were beautiful and tasted amazing too! Thank you so much Meredith!!!

Meredith was a total pleasure to work with. She was able to accommodate my request for a vegan cake with ease and created the exact cake I was hoping for. Meredith was a pleasure to work with right from the start. At our consultation she had me bring pictures and she took my ideas and improved them. She sketched them out at the meeting and the tasting was incredible. It was difficult to decide on a cake because everything tasted so good. She uses fresh ingredients made from scratch and delivers the wedding cakes and sets them up herself. Her prices are reasonable and the final product is amazing. People are still asking where I got my wedding cake a month later.

Excellent experience with Artisan Bakery. Delicious cake and wonderful desserts. She was very flexible and offered sound advice about quantity of cake and desserts we should order for our guests, didn't upsell us unnecessarily. Ended up being spot on with her estimate and we were left with a dinner to go container or 2 of desserts at the end of the reception (which were eaten later that night).

Artisan was the best! The cakes and cupcakes are delicious and affordable. They are also Pros when it comes to managing the details. I got married on a Boston Harbor Island and other than giving them the contact info for the coordinator, I did not have to lift a finger in terms of the details and logistics with getting 100+ cupcakes and top tier cake on a boat and onto an island. No surprise fees and incidents. They are the BEST.

I had nearly come to the conclusion that I would not be eating cake on my wedding day after a long search for a gluten free bakery in the Cape Cod area. Luckily my search finally came up with Artisan bakery and I am so glad it did. Meredith made a gluten free cake for my husband and I to cut and regular cakes for our guests. She was such a wealth of knowledge at our cake consultation and the cake itself was just absolutely amazing. Definitely my husband's favorite part of wedding planning! Meredith gave us tons of options so that we were able to actually come in UNDER budget on our wedding cakes! On our wedding day the cake was exactly as I had imagined it in my head. It was elegant, beautiful, and most of all delicious!! I would highly recommend Artisan bakery for not only anyone with a gluten allergy- but for anyone who loves baked goods in general!

This place is amazing! I ordered my gluten free wedding cake from here. I sent them a picture and told them I wanted something similar to what was in the picture. I had two flavors for my cake chocolate and red velvet. The chocolate part of the cake had either strawberries or raspberry in the middle and it was amazing. All my guests raved about how good the cake was. They never even knew it was gluten free. I am going to order another cake from them real soon, it was just so good. It didn't just taste good it looked amazing too! It matched perfectly with my flowers. Thanks again.

Everything was perfect! Meredith the cake designer was very nice and welcoming. Their cupcakes and cake topper was as tasty as it was beautiful. We also had them provide a dessert bar which complimented the table. will definitely be coming back for goodies year-round.

I can't recommend Artisan Bakery enough. We asked to have wedding pies, rather than a huge cake, as we wanted something with a country feel. Our guests really seemed to love this! Artisan worked with us for how everything would be displayed, even coming up with a new idea in five minutes flat when our original idea wouldn't work. It looked gorgeous and the taste can't be beat!

Even though we just got married a few days ago, I had to write a review for Artisan Bakery, because their cupcakes were so good that I just ate one for breakfast. When you first pull up to Artisan Bakery, it doesn't look like much- just a small bakery store front on a pretty quiet road in a quiet town. When we met Meredith, she sat us down and gave us a few cupcakes to try. When I watched my now husband, who can be particular about his baked good, go back for a second bite, I knew we had found our bakery! We explained our vision (which was somewhat vague) and Meredith, right in front of us, sketched out a full color design the started with a top cake and continued down through the tiers of cupcakes. It was incredible to watch and when she told us the price per cupcake, we found them to be far less than some of the chain cupcake places that we had been researching. As a bride, it is surreal to see something you planned and envisioned on the actual wedding day. The cake and cupcakes looked exactly as I hoped they would. And, to top it off, they tasted incredible. I had worried that we had over-ordered, but we were only left with 8 at the end of the night (now 7 since I just ate one at 7 AM). They were also kind enough to bake us 12 gluten free cupcakes and our gluten-free guests were thrilled to get to eat baked goods! Finally, the part I appreciated the most afterwards, for a nominal fee, they came and picked up the cupcake tiers, meaning one less thing I had to deal with on Sunday. So we highly recommend Meredith and the folks at Artisan- I have a feeling that we will be getting a few more things from them in the year until we eat the top of our cake!

Working with Meredith from Artisan Bake Shop was one of the most pleasant experiences in my entire wedding planning process. Meredith is a true artist who takes great pride in her work. Our cakes were absolutely beautiful, better than I could have imagined, and absolutely delicious. Multiple guests commented that it was the best cake they ever had! Artisan Bake Shop was the perfect bakery to use for our wedding cake! Meredith was so pleasant to work with and was super helpful with the whole process. We wanted a rustic cake with fresh flowers and she drew up a beautiful sketch at our first meeting which ended looking exactly like our wedding cake! She was also very helpful in recommending a local florist to use for the flowers (Always in Bloom!) and they were absolutely gorgeous and the staff was also very helpful in working with me over the phone.

Most importantly, the cake was BEAUTIFUL and tasted amazing!! Everyone I spoke to said it was the best cake they've ever eaten, and I had some very picky guests! We somehow ended up with a lot of extra cake at the end of the wedding and I'm not ashamed to admit that my husband and I took it on our mini-moon and enjoyed it all week! I can't wait for our anniversary cake!

I found Artisan bakery while searching online and was instantly drawn to the pictures of gorgeous dessert tables and cakes. When we met Meredith,I knew almost instantly that Artisan Bakery was going to be the one. Meredith was incredibly sweet, and so knowledgable about her craft. She knew facts about cakes, the averages people eat, things I never even knew mattered. I loved how she set up each type of cake, filling and frosting and let us take our time choosing our combinations. She gave us facts and information on each one. Once we had decided on flavor combinations we created a dessert table where she sketched out everything and figured out our price. We had two types of cookies, a wedding cake, donut holes, mini shortcake "shots" and cupcakes for 170 guests. The price was AMAZING and affordable for the quality and amount we were getting. Anytime I had a question after that meeting, Meredith was quick to respond to my emails, and I never had to worry about a thing. I never saw Meredith or her team on our wedding day, while I was getting ready they set up the dessert table perfectly using a few items I provided, and the rest that she provided. I was truly speechless when I saw it. Our cake was gorgeous, Meredith crafted a beautiful birch heart out of fondant that topped our cake with our initials, and every item was exactly like the original design we created. All of our guests LOVED the dessert table. I'm still getting compliments on the dessert table & the cake! Another part we loved about Artisan Bakery- we never had to save the top of our cake. Meredith left us a card that lets us order an Anniversary cake, made with the exact flavors of our wedding cake! I highly recommend Artisan Bakery and Meredith. We could not have been more pleased by the entire process of working with her, and I truly think using anyone else would have been a mistake. All brides should be as lucky as I was to have such a fantastic vendor like Artisan Bakery. Thank you very, very much!

The wedding cake and dessert bar that Meredith created for my wedding day was something out of magazine! On top of being visually stunning, her creations are the best you have ever tasted. My guests had never seen anything like it and loved it. My husband and I really enjoyed the cake tasting. Meredith is very talented and passionate and it shows!

When my husband and I walked into Artisan Bake Shop, we were expecting the usual: two, maybe three flavors of cake and two frostings. But that's not really the Bake Shop's style: we walked into four or five flavors of cupcakes and a WHOLE PLATTER of frostings. Try choosing from among Bailey's cream, peanut butter, strawberry, and a whole host more. Needless to say, we left extremely sugar high and more than a little obsessed. Fast forward to the wedding day...not only did we end up with more cake than we expected (which we promptly devoured post-honeymoon), but even the venue asked "where did you get that cake??" So do yourself a favor and go see Meredith. The cakes are amazing, and I didn't have to worry for a second about anything during the process. You even get a choice: keep the top layer for your anniversary, or she'll make you a fresh cake in a year. Absolutely phenomenal.

Meredith was awesome and so was all of her workers. My husband and I had cupakes and one small cake for us to cut. We really enjoyed our cake tasting and ended up picking multiple flavors, and frostings. They were amazing and everyone loved them. Our small cake for us to cut was perfect. We choose the birch tree look and it really went well with our style wedding. I look forward to going back with my husband for a cupcake date.

Meredith was a joy to work with. She made our cupcakes and small cake for our wedding. We had so much fun getting together with her to taste the cakes and discuss design. When we arrived at the reception the cupcakes were beyond my expectations, they were wonderful! They look great and tasted even better! Meredith at Artisan Bake Shop came to our rescue when we suddenly had to look for a new (dairy-free) cake vendor three weeks before the wedding. Since we live in Arizona, we weren't even able to taste the cake beforehand and just had to trust that it would be amazing. After begging for them to squeeze us into their busy schedule, they moved around a few deliveries and made it happen. I emailed one picture of our idea, and the cake was more amazing and delicious than we could have imagined. Dairy-free red velvet with "buttercream" frosting and raspberry jam filling - amazing! I wouldn't recommend anyone else for your wedding cake!

WOW! is all I can say. The cake tasting was wonderful. The owner went through the cakes, the designs, the costs, everything you need to know. She then sketched my cake with the color samples I provided. Then she provided 3 different cakes and many different frostings. We cleared our plates!
Along with the wedding cake, we did a dessert bar that was a huge hit at the wedding it gave folks something different to try rather than being forced to eat cake!

The cake was awesome! Tasted great and everyone raved over it! The tasting prior to the wedding gave an amazing sample of the different flavors. They are very attentive and respond to emails quickly. Also we received a gift certificate for a replica top of the cake for our 1st anniversary, so we did not have to deal with freezing it.

I cannot say enough good about Meredith and the crew at Artisan Bake Shop! They created the cake for our wedding and Meredith was incredible during our consultation. We had been to other bakeries and were unimpressed by their run-of-the-mill and impersonal tastings. Meredith really took the time to DRAW out several different cake options, and described our flavor options thoroughly. She was also extremely mindful of our budget and made kitchen cakes (just as tasty!!) to supplement our decorative cake. I highly recommend Artisan for any of your baking needs! Our cake was absolutely beautiful, and we received MANY compliments on how delicious and moist it was!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Meredith and the Artisan Bake Shop for my daughters wedding. Meredith was accessible and totally responsive to all of our inquiries and requests. The cake was amazing...beautiful and delicious...and the scones she made for the wedding favor were the best I've ever had. Meredith was also able to accommodate my Gluten Free guests with delicious cupcakes (boxed with their name and table number) so they wouldn't be left out of the festivities. She did the same with the favors. The compliments continue to come in from the weddings guests weeks after the event. I find myself trying to think up an excuse to order another cake or some other delicious goodie from the Artisan Bake Shop. Thank You Meredith!!

We LOVED Meredith at Artisan Bake Shop- we came in for a consult with some different ideas in mind and she worked with us until we had a complete sketch of what we wanted our wedding cake to look like. She was full of ideas, had lots of tasty samples and most importantly, she really delivered on the big day. She also made mini 2-tier bridesmaid cakes for me to give to each of my bridesmaids, AND made my hubby the most amazing grooms cake (an intricate easy chair scene, with a little sculpture of our dog, amongst other things). Suffice it to say- I ate a lot of her cake during my wedding weekend, and everything was beautifully executed and delicious (and moist- not dry, like a lot of fondant decorated cakes can be). Everything was also delivered on time. The 20 min drive off Cape to meet with her is SO worth it- do it! She's the best cake decorator in the whole area!

Artisan created the cake of my dreams, literally. Other vendors said it couldn't be done or wanted to charge me outrageous prices. Artisan created a gorgeous 5 tier seashell themed cake and even made it work with my budget. Meredith would even email me new ideas after our consultation to make sure our cake was exactly what we wanted. 5 stars for Artisan!

Working with the Artisan Bake shop, in particular Meredith, was a blast! My fiance and I had some rather strange demands and unique requests regarding our wedding cake, and the bakers were able to make everything happen for us..we couldn't be more pleased. We ended up going with a white cake with layers of vanilla and chocolate buttercream throughout. The inside vanilla buttercream layer was filled with teal sprinkles to match our colors. I received so many "this was the best cake I've ever had" comments throughout the night. The outside of our cake was a challenge for us. We knew we wanted to keep it elegant but still bring out our fun, kid-like sides. Meredith sat down with us numerous times and developed the PERFECT sketch...very elegant white buttercream on the top two layers, some beautiful white sugar flowers decorated with teal and black edible glitter, but the bottom of the cake was the biggest hit as it was covered with teal and black sprinkles. How amazing! I describe it as "business on the top, party on the bottom." I am still hearing how our cake was so unique and nobody had ever seen anything like it. I will definitely be recommending Artisan Bake Shop to my other bride friends.

We got pies from Artisan Kitchen for our wedding instead of cake. The pie was DELICIOUS - and I am a baker so I know good pie when I taste it :) The price was much better than other places in Boston that I checked, and the pie was also much tastier. We got the mixed coastal berry and the apple - delicious!

We could not be happier to have worked with Meredith and the Artisan Kitchen (Artisan Bake Shop) for our wedding cake. What drew us to Artisan Kitchen was their commitment to local and organic ingredients and sustainability (they purchase eggs, fruits & produce from local farms, use recycled products and even compost!). Since the first day we met Meredith at the Shop for our cake tasting, she was extremely helpful in creating the exact design we wanted. Artisan Kitchen crafted us a 4-tier round wedding cake with spackled buttercream frosting and sugared cherries - it looked like something directly out of Martha Stewart Weddings! Not to mention each tier was a different flavor of spectacular goodness! :) We highly recommend Artisan Kitchen for your wedding cake!

Meredith was so much fun to work with! We scheduled our tasting about 4 months out from our wedding & then were so excited to see our cakes on wedding night! Meredith worked with our requests perfectly, doing 5 (smaller) vintage-y cakes for our wedding & the prices were so reasonable. She also delivered directly to our venue & set them up beautifully. The Artisan Kitchen did an amazing job decorating our wedding cupcakes!! They were beautifully designed and DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! I have a dairy allergy and was having a difficult time finding a cupcake vendor for our wedding. I have tried a number of "dairy-free" cakes and many of them were just dry and gross, but when I saw that the Artisan Kitchen had chocolate cupcakes that were naturally dairy free, I thought that is my BEST bet at a dairy free cupcake that has all the flavor of a "normal" cupcake. They really blew me away with how delicious the cake and dairy free icing were!! The presentation was wonderful and everyone was raving about the great tasting cupcakes!! I planned my wedding from across country, I live in Portland, OR, and they were so responsive and great!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
