  The owner, Jane Russell, is so incredibly kind and helpful with planning menu. She and her staff (we also had one of her bartenders) were professional and went beyond expectations. Prices were very reasonable and food was DELICIOUS. We got so many compliments on the food. I used her for an event in 2012 and plan on booking her as caterer for my wedding.

  Jane is terrific! She has been so wonderful to work with. If you are getting married in the Finger Lakes area, specifically Keuka, and want to add a local flare to the cuisine, then Jane is your girl! I love that she is adding local produce, meats, and cheeses to our menu. Not to mention she pointed us in the right direction when our original DJ fell through. I cannot wait to taste the food, as I'm sure it'll be amazing!

  Poor customer service

  Around the Corner catering was recommended to me by our wedding venue. When I first called Jane to ask about pricing, she said she couldn’t give me anything until we picked food but gave me some very basic information that I used to form a catering budget. When we went to pick out our food, I again asked what the price differential would be for choosing this over that, but she said it was all relatively the same. The quote she provided after we finalized a menu was over double what I had put together based on the information she originally gave. When I asked for details and questioned the pricing, she took offense to my questions and made me feel like I was out of line in asking for justification. However, we got past that and ended up with a bare bones wedding menu that we were happy with. (We did appetizers and desserts ourselves to fit within our budget.) Fast forward to the wedding day: if you aren’t already stressed before the event, the staff at Around the Corner catering will make you that way. The woman in charge was yelling at her staff and her overall demeanor and attitude toward us was not friendly. The food was excellent and exactly as we discussed, but the overall experience was incredibly sub-par. Based on this, I would not recommend Around the Corner Catering.
