Best Weekend Ever!!!
Armstrong Farms is such a wonderful venue. The people are amazing and you get to stay on property Friday into Sunday morning and have ample time to really bring your dream vision to life. As a bride you always want your wedding weekend to be the most stress-free relaxing weekend of your life and honestly I’m in the business myself, and I’ve been a bride myself and you can really see the effort and appreciate the amenities and accommodations that Armstrong Farms provides to make your wedding weekend the best it can possibly be. You also get the freedom of bringing in your own vendors and alcohol which is really nice and can help you to stay within your own personal budget. Another awesome perk is no matter the time of year you can have both your ceremony and reception at Armstrong Farms which can save on transportation costs!! Not only that but the property itself is really beautiful for plenty of amazing photo opportunities. Another plus is that you can get married all year round with Armstrong Farms. Since I got married in DecemberI had double the property to take pictures on (Westminster and Fieldstone location) Honestly 1,000/10 for this venue I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! Love love love!!! Sooo happy with how everything turned out!!! Also I’ve attached photos incase anyone is looking for winter wedding inspo.-

All around wonderful
We got married on July first at the Fieldstone Barn with unpredictable weather and unknown rain or sun. Our coordinator Deanndra helped us come up with options for our ceremony lay out and it was a wonderful and beautiful day despite the rain, all thanks to her hard work. The barns are naturally beautiful but theres a lot of customizing you can do with your own decor. You also get the guesthouse next to the barn and another cottage less than a 5 minute drive away for your wedding party to stay the whole weekend and it is 100% worth it. Very rustic but it made the whole weekend go much smoother. We were so pleased with how our wedding turned out! -

Perfect venue for a great wedding weekend experience!
I cannot say enough positive things about our Venue, Armstrong Farms. Andy and Kristi were so helpful the entire way through re-planning and providing options, to ensuring that the day went off without a hitch. Kristi is the Manager at the Venue and ended up also being my coordinator and was FABULOUS! She answered probably 100 emails from me over the course of 2 years and especially the past 8 months always responded quickly and always in a positive way (to some insane questions! Lol) The property speaks for itself and they take pride in keeping it in perfect condition for all their events. Would recommend this Venue 100 times over!-

Look no further for your dream barn wedding - BEST VENUE EVER
If you're looking at Armstrong Farms then look no farther. We had our July 25, 2020, wedding at the Fieldstone Barn and would do it there time and time again if we could. Planning a wedding during COVID isn't easy, but the staff at Armstrong did everything and more to make sure our day went off without a hitch. I literally did not have to lift a finger on our wedding day! My husband (who is not the event-planning type) also loved working with them and said so many times how great Armstrong was to work with. They were so flexible and kind throughout the whole process! Kristi Sherge was amazing to work with and always SO responsive. She answered every question and concern I had leading up to our big day. The owners, the Allens, are so nice as well and Andy even stopped by the evening before to check in to make sure everything was going smoothly with set up. The use of the farmhouse is truly invaluable as well. Kristi set up a table for us outside on the patio and we held our rehearsal dinner out there, which was nice to have as a back-up because our original rehearsal dinner plans got canceled due to COVID. Armstrong is also the ideal place to have your wedding during COVID because there is so much space to work with. Our guests raved about the amazing location and how comfortable they felt about attending our wedding. You also really get your money's worth at this venue-- it's truly a great value. I can't say enough amazing things about Armstrong Farms and would encourage any bride and groom to look at Armstrong for their big day. I also knew that IF we had to change our date due to COVID that Armstrong would bend over backward to work with me to make sure our day went off without a hitch. I had zero wedding day anxiety at Armstrong because I knew everything was going to fall into place perfectly, and it did. If you are a laid back bride who enjoys adding your own personal touch to your wedding through DIY, this venue is for you! COVID or not, I'd pick this venue time and time again. Thank you, Armstrong, for making my dreams come true-- it truly was the most perfect day EVER.-

Great choice in venue that guests still talk about!
Lori, Andy, and the whole Armstrong crew are fabulous. They are insanely accommodating. It was a beautiful venue and the team made sure the whole event went smoothly. The venue was incredible. The options provided are absolutely endless. Flexibility to make the wedding your own. Leading up to the event, they we're always available to answer questions and ease the anxiety of the wedding planning process. We can't recommend them enough!-

Our wedding weekend was PERFECT!
I may be biased, but Armstrong Farms is possibly the best overall wedding venue in the Pittsburgh area. I can't even believe how perfect our wedding was! Armstrong Farms not only made sure that the DAY OF was perfect, but their package includes the entire weekend, with lodging included. Our entire wedding party and family felt so relaxed and we all had an absolute BLAST. From Friday to Sunday, we created memories and were catered to hand and foot. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Anna made sure that all of our vendors were where they needed to be and we didn't have to lift a finger the entire weekend. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. The entire weekend was magical! -

Spectacular!
If you have a vision and are truly passionate about “Having the Best Day Ever” Armstrong Farms~
The Fieldstone Barn is for you! We had done our homework on line, long before we visited the farm. The breath taking views and the natural beauty of this location sets the stage for a very elegant affair. Obtaining the venue at noon on Friday and then finishing up Sunday just added to
the hometown charm of this venue. I enjoyed working with Kristi, the event coordinator. Andrew the owner is extremely pleasant as well. Mary from Pisarcik Greenhouse & Flower farm is exceedingly talented! Last Call Bartending made it so easy for us! From the beginning of the planning stage to the actual day of the wedding~ IT WAS PERFECT! -

Absolutely Amazing!
I can not say enough good things about Armstrong Farms - Westminster Preserve. Kristi was our coordinator and she went above and beyond to make our day perfect! It was honestly everything I could hope for and more! I could of never imagined just how perfect our day could of been! One of the biggest reasons we chose the venue was because we got to stay in the houses on the grounds for the entire weekend. Made things so easy and convenient but also made you feel so comfortable and together with your closest family and friends. The people are so easy to work with and truly want you to have the best day(s) of your life! We went to get sunset photos and the owner came over to make sure that everything was going well and as planned and even though it was something so simple, it made us feel right at home! We can't thank every one enough (especially Kristi and the owners) for letting us have our wedding here and for doing everything to make it perfect! -

Genuinely care that you have a perfect day
Throughout the entire process of working with Armstrong Farms to plan my wedding all if the staff/owners were so responsive and helpful.
They all worked so hard to make sure my wedding day went smooth and successful.
We had the weekend package which was ideal. Two cabins provided for Friday night and Saturday night stay as well as a bonfire to hang out after the reception.
Ceremony and reception in the same location and they keep their land so beautifully that there is no need to travel for photos!
I honestly have no complaints about this venue, every moment was made so easy for us and the venue coordinator Anna worked so hard all night to accommodate anything/everything.
I got compliments all night long from guests saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I honestly have Armstrong Farms to thank for that.
I will always recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect rustic location to get married.-

Best venue ever
I would recommend this venue over and over again!! Anna was our wedding coordinator and she could not have been any more wonderful!! She made the planning and preparation leading up to the wedding, smooth and flawless! We set up our reception and held our rehearsal dinner at the barn Friday night and Anna helped us ENJOY every minute of it!! Not once were we stressed or worried about anything! Anna had an answer to everything and made sure we were having the times of our lives! December 1, 2018 was the best day ever and we are STILL getting feedback from our guests at how perfect the entire day was!! THANK YOU to Armstrong Farms to truly making our wedding day everything we ever dreamed of!! The people, process, service, price, and quality of this venue is absolutely worth every penny! You will not be disappointed!-

Armstrong Farms , Fieldstone, was wonderful! Our venue coordinator, Anna, took care of every detail for us. It was great to have the venue all weekend. We were able to decorate Friday, have the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner all at the same site. Also a two night stay in the farm house and a cottage were included so the whole wedding party stayed and were able to get ready and also have our photos taken prior to the wedding. All the facilities were clean and well kept. The ceremony site and barn are very beautiful. I strongly recommend Armstrong Farms. Anna was like family by the end of the weekend! -

I don’t even know where to start with explaining how wonderful Armstrong Farms was for my (new) husband and I! I started my search looking at the knot for barn wedding venues and I requested information through the app on my phone. In a short period of time, I was replied to and making that first initial inquiry was one of my favorite decisions I made throughout the whole wedding planning process. The tour started with Marlene showing us around both venue sites, and without even showing our parents the venue, my husband and I knew it was the one for us. We committed that day without looking at any other venue. Armstrong farms helped by providing us a vendor list where we found most of our vendors and they were absolutely excellent. We then met our venue coordinator, Anna, who I can’t even describe how much of a lifesaver and wonderful of a coordinator she is and was to us. She answered my millions of questions, gave me vendor information and advice, helped call all our vendors to schedule times and make sure everything ran perfectly, and was there to help the whole wedding weekend. Anna even helped me bussle my dress - she was literally there for our every need. She kept things running smoothly and made it so we didn’t have to worry or stress about the little things. Armstrong Farms is the perfect place to get married and not only just to have one beautiful day, but a whole beautiful weekend. Thank you so much Armstrong Farms, you made my wedding the best I could have ever dreamed of.

Our wedding turned out amazing at Armstrong Farms on 10/21/17! Originally we wanted 10/7 and were hoping to use the pond at the Allison Anne barn for the ceremony and the Fieldstone barn for the reception. However we found out that the Allison Anne barn is no longer used for weddings. Kathy convinced us to book the 3rd weekend in October when they stop booking Westminster Preserve and agreed to let us use the pond there if the weather cooperated and the pond grounds weren't too mushy. We lucked out and the weather was perfect and the everything worked out as planned! They were very accommodating to our requests! Plus all of the housing was available that weekend so we booked everything up and were able to have our families, bridal party and many of our friends stay with us the entire weekend. Marlene was a fantastic venue coordinator and made sure everything went off without a hitch (I swear she was everywhere at once!) Price included lodging at 2 houses for Fri-Sun and use of their prop shop which has tons of decor. You really don't even need to buy any decorations if you don't want to.
Having used both beautiful venues, here are some pros/cons of each:
Westminster Preserve
+ Better ceremony site (pond) although the walk down the aisle is a bit of a hike (good for dramatic effect though)
+ Housing is nicer and both are located on the property.
+ Beautiful arbor for cocktail hour
+/- Barn is authentic - has gapes in slates (not good for bad weather), uneven floor
- Bathrooms downstairs are difficult to get to for elderly/disabled
Fieldstone
+ Beautiful refurbished barn with geothermal heating & built-in double-sided bar
+ Basement has beautiful foundation stone wall and is great for cocktail hour
- Ceremony site is smaller
+/- Housing - Fieldstone house is located right across from barn but is smaller. The suite you get is very nice & modern but is located a short drive in downtown Saxonburg (everyone wanted to stay on the property with us.)-

We love Armstrong Farms! The Fieldstone barn was the perfect venue for our June 2017 wedding. The barn itself was decorated beautifully (thanks to their prop shop), was cool, and was large enough to comfortably fit our 135 guests. We also loved how we were able to use the barn and accompanying houses for the entire weekend; our special day wasn't rushed and didn't overlap with anyone else's.
Marlene was our coordinator the day of and she was absolutely wonderful! Leading up to the wedding, she was quick to respond to answer questions and address concerns. The day of, Marlene helped made sure the day ran smoothly by assisting vendors and guests. She was truly amazing. Thank you Marlene for all of your hard work! -

This. Was. The. Most. Perfect. Venue. I cannot even put into words how happy we were with Armstrong Farms, its staff, its location, and its amenities. My now husband and I happened upon this place and the moment we walked into the barn at Westminster Preserve we knew this was it. They had 1 weekend in July available and boom, 5 months later we were married there! We were so happy that we were able to customize everything ourselves, from the caterer to the bartender - but the venue has a fantastic list of vendors and we ended up going with someone from their list in almost every category! It really gave us the flexibility to spend money on the things important to us (food, booze and entertainment). The venue is gorgeous! The grounds, the twinkling lights in the barn, the arbor - hardly any decoration needed, but for a little oomph - the prop shop was a welcome surprise! I added a few things here and there, but really it had everything I could have wanted. Having the cottages on the property for us and our bridal party to stay was so fun and really convenient! We also had our rehearsal dinner and brunch at the Farm as well, so it really gave us ample opportunity to spend time with our family and friends, most of whom came in from out of town. My family LOVED being outside and fishing in the pond, and we had lovely weather so our guests played cornhole outside late into the evening! Finally, we cannot say enough good things about our coordinator, Marlene. She was with us from the very beginning, guided us poor wedding naive souls (without ever being pushy and always helping us to do what we wanted and felt comfortable with) and truly went above and beyond. We are so grateful for her help and guidance! I highly recommend Armstrong Farms, especially if you are looking for something more low key and down to earth and something unforgettable! -

Our venue was the biggest and most important decision in wedding planning and I don’t think we could have made a better decision! We loved everything about having our wedding at Armstrong Farms (Fieldstone barn). We fell in love with the venue at our initial meeting and was then sold on everything that was included - the weekend package with lodging, rehearsal dinner space and set up, use of the amazing prop shop, and the best part a day of coordinator! We booked in August and got our coordinator Amanda assigned in December and she was fantastic! She was way more than just a day of coordinator, she was in constant contact with us leading up to the wedding, answering any questions we had and working with us to make sure we had all our vendors. A few weeks out we had a final meeting with her to go over all of the details which she then confirmed with all the vendors right before the wedding and was the main POC at the wedding. She was around all weekend starting at noon on Friday to make sure we had everything we need for setting up, decorating, etc. We didn’t worry about a thing on the day of the wedding and no one in my family had to be at the farm to make sure the other vendors knew what to do & where to set-up, it was such a relief to have a professional like Amanda be there on our day. I can’t imagine the day going as smooth without her. Now back to the venue, it was the perfect space for our rustic romantic wedding. We had the downstairs with a bar and music for cocktail and then the upstairs for the main dinner and reception. We had 100 guests and there was plenty of room for eating and dancing. It was a beautiful space and the minimal decorations that we used from Armstrong Farms enhanced the natural beauty. We really could not have been happier with having our wedding here and everyone involved. I would recommend this venue to everyone! -

My husband and I got married a little over a month ago at Armstrong Farms Fieldstone. We simply had the perfect wedding at the most beautiful venue. We saw pictures online of the farm and thought it was beautiful, but going out to see it was amazing. We fell in love with this beautiful venue. We wanted a rustic, romantic wedding and that is exactly what we got. Amanda was our wedding coordinator and I cannot say how thankful I am we had her with us every step of the way. Amanda went above and beyond from the second we booked the farm. I asked a million questions and she helped every single time. She was amazing to have on the day of our wedding. She made sure every single detail of our day was perfect and I can't thank her enough. The amazing part about the venue is you get it for the entire wedding weekend! We held our rehearsal dinner right at the barn on Friday night. They included a great big farmhouse for my bridesmaids, mom, mother in law, & I to stay at the night before the wedding to have a girls night! I loved that. I woke up and was stress free because we were all already at the venue and hair and makeup came to us! We used that farmhouse the night of the wedding for close family while my husband and I stayed at a nearby cottage! It was so convenient and special. Another huge perk of the barn is the prop shop! It is a garage filled with great rustic items you can use on your big day to add those special extra details that everyone raved about. Our day was perfect! We are still getting the most amazing comments about our wedding day. Looking back we would not change a thing. This was truly the most perfect venue for our rustic romantic wedding we always wanted! -

If you are into the rustic theme for your wedding, Armstrong Farms is the PERFECT venue for you. I absolutely fell in love with the venue and the people who helped make my wedding a success. I literally have nothing to complain about. My rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception were all perfect and exactly how I would have pictured it.
Armstrong Farms has a "prop shop" which is a garage FULL of things that you can use for your wedding including decorations, signs, etc. I used so much from there and it saved us a lot of money!
On top of that, you have full use of 2 guest houses for the ENTIRE WEEKEND, as well as the venue!
I could go on and on about this venue and the owners. It is absolutely beautiful. If you book with them, your wedding will be perfect, no doubt in my mind. They were worth every penny!! -

We held our rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception at Armstrong Farms-Fieldstone, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue and family who owns it. Andy Allen was an absolute pleasure to work with and could not have been more accommodating. Days before our wedding, he checked in with all of our vendors to make sure everyone was ready to go. He was always responsive to our e-mails/calls within 1-2 days!
The weekend wedding package included use of the barn Friday night-Sunday morning, a suite in Saxonburg, and the farmhouse! This allowed us to host our rehearsal dinner in the barn's lower level, and several bridesmaids were able to stay overnight for preparations Saturday morning! Had the weather been better, we also would have had a bonfire post-wedding!
Unfortunately, it rained on our day so we had to have the ceremony inside. Andy, however, did not miss a beat and set a beautiful setting for us downstairs. We easily transitioned into cocktail hour following the ceremony. Andy was available to us the entire day and made sure we, and our guests, had everything we needed!
The grounds, ceremony site, and reception site were absolutely beautiful! We had a fantastic party and could not have been happier to choose Armstrong Farms for our wedding! -

My husband & I had the pleasure of working with Kathy Allen. The entire planning process and execution of the ceremony and reception was incredible! Kathy and the Armstrong Farm staff took care of everything for us! We did not have to direct guests or worry about any time constraints. Staff let us know when and where to move during the evenings timeline. We had our wedding at the Fieldstone barn and it was so clean, beautiful, and perfect! Our wedding night was the best night of our lives! I would highly, highly recommend Armstrong Farms and the Allen family for your rustic, intimate, beautiful wedding! -

My husband and I got married at the Fieldstone Barn on October 10, 2015. Kathy Allen was more than helpful. When we got there on Friday, we noticed that the caterer did not set up the tables for us to decorate. She helped us get everything set up and even helped with the centerpiece placement. She also went out and got us a second grill when we realized we would need another one for our rehearsal dinner. She made our entire weekend stress and worry free. On the day of the wedding, she made sure that everything was absolutely perfect! She kept us on schedule and made sure our guests felt welcomed. The setting for the wedding was absolutely beautiful. Everything was freshly landscaped and decorated for fall. We could not have asked for a more picture perfect wedding. Kathy Allen went above and beyond her call of duty for us. At the end of the night, Kathy was helping my grandparents get back to the suites in Saxonburg when my grandparents were involved in an accident. Kathy rushed back to the bonfire site to inform our family and led us to the accident scene (no one was hurt, luckily). We could not thank Kathy enough for all of the love and support she showed our family over the weekend. She is truly an amazing woman. -

My husband and I were just married at the Westminster Preserve farm two weekends ago, and we could not be happier!!! We absolutely LOVED the farm setting, with the geese and donkeys in our wedding photos. If you are looking for a rustic, but still a very formal and elegant wedding venue, I would highly recommend Armstrong Farms. Kathy Allen, the owner, is a genuinely wonderful woman to work with. She will be there for you from day one of your planning process to help you along the way; she and the rest of her family (the whole business is family run) have a wealth of knowledge about wedding planning, and are more than happy to help with finding vendors, giving decoration suggestions, or anything you can think of! My husband and I had a wonderful wedding weekend (yes you get the farm for the whole weekend!) with everyone at Armstrong. -

Absolutely gorgeous venue!!! The perfect place for a barn wedding! We had an amazing experience with Armstrong Farms and would highly recommend them! Our wedding coordinator Amanda was wonderful to work with and made sure everything went smoothly from planning to the actual wedding day. We were able to save money by using "props" other people had left to make our centerpieces and seating chart. The entire night guests were talking about how beautiful this venue is! -

We absolutely loved working with Armstrong Farms. The owners are very professional and helpful--and Amanda helped us get through every detail of the day. I was never told "no" at this venue--Amanda listened to every word we had to say and helped us make it happen! All of our guests raved about the beautiful grounds, and everyone left feeling relaxed and fulfilled. Armstrong Farms is truly Heaven on Earth! -

Armstrong Farms is not only a gorgeous place to get married but the team working there is absolutely amazing. We had our wedding at the Fieldstone barn on May 31, 2014 and had the time of our lives. Kathy Allen, who is the owner of Armstrong, helped us with the planning process the entire time and made sure everything ran smoothly. This included help with the seating arrangements, setup of the tables and chairs for both the ceremony and the reception, she allowed us to borrow some of the props she had on the property (including an antique bathtub that we filled with ice and drinks), and checked up on us throughout the weekend to make sure we had everything we needed.
Another great thing about Armstrong is that we had the property for the entire weekend. This saved us money on hotel rooms and the extra work of looking for another rehearsal dinner location. By staying on the property, we also did not have the hassle of traveling back and forth between different places.
Some tips for future brides: (1) The Fieldstone barn has temperature control but I’m not sure if any of the other barns do, so if it’s in the middle of summer, keep that in mind; (2) You will need a full service caterer because Armstrong only has a small basic kitchen; and (3) We had 125 guests and that’s about the upper limits for the Fieldstone barn. Any more guests and it’ll get a bit tight for the reception.
If you can work out these issues, then I would highly recommend Armstrong Farms to anyone looking to get married in a beautiful and unique place.

Armstrong was amazing, I felt so at ease. They clearly knew what they were doing which meant I could relax and focus on other wedding details and just enjoy life instead of going crazy. The location is beautiful and we fell in love the moment we saw it. I love their treasure trove of decorating items. We hardly had to buy anything for the wedding, they were so well-prepared. Thank you for an amazing wedding! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Armstrong Farms! We selected the Fieldstone Barn at Armstrong Farms - it offers a beautiful outdoor space with views of rolling hills for the ceremony (with a backup indoor ceremony in case of rain), as well as a beautiful, preserved barn for the reception. The barn is air-conditioned, so no worries about the comfort of your guests, and we hosted our cocktail hour outdoors on the porch that wrapped around the barn. In addition we were offered the use of two homes from the Armstrong Bed & Breakfast, which we offered to our bridal party guests who traveled from out of town. From our first visit through the day after the wedding, the service provided was superb! Amanda, the wedding day-of-coordinator, was in contact with us the year before the wedding as we were planning, aiding us in selecting vendors and communicating with us (sometimes several times a day!) as we ironed out the details. The month before the wedding, she personally contacted each of our vendors to ensure that they had all the information and support that we needed in order to make our day go smoothly. She coordinated everything the day of the wedding so that I didn't have to think about anything, which was invaluable to me! In addition, they were incredibly flexible regarding our ceremony. The weather forecasted thunderstorms for our wedding day, and as we were really hoping to have an outdoor ceremony, Amanda and her staff set up the outdoor space for us just in case the weather held, and it did! She was willing to move everything indoors if the storm began, and made the extra effort to allow us to have the outdoor ceremony that we so wanted. Indoors, the space is really lovely! It is also handicap accessible, which was important for us, as my grandmother uses a wheelchair. In addition to this, we were able to bring in our own alcohol (a huge savings!), select our own caterer (also important to us as we have particular taste), and decorate ourselves. -

This review is for Amanda Miller at Armstrong Farms. Amanda was our wedding coordinator at the farm for our reception. I cannot say enough about her -- she was always responsive (within the hour usually), she went above and beyond to make sure our reception was perfect, she slowly guided all the events throughout the day and made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. She even sent us well wishes after our wedding. She was a thoughtful, considerate person. There are many reviews of Armstrong Farms that say they are unorganized and non responsive, but that is NOT the case when dealing with Amanda. I highly recommend you request her as your coordinator! You will not regret it. -

We fell in love with Armstrong Farms the moment we drove onto the property. Kathy and John (the owners) were very involved and flexible in the planning process. They allowed us to borrow several of their personal items for our reception and made sure everything was perfect the day of the wedding. We were originally booked to be married at the wonderful Alyson Anne field, but due to some unexpected pipeline construction the week of our wedding Kathy and John offered to move our ceremony to the gorgeous Westminster Preserve location down the street. They made the switch work seamlessly and we have received more compliments than can be counted on our ceremony and reception locations (the reception was at the Fieldstone Barn). It was also so convenient to be able to have our bridal party and out-of-town guests stay right on the property in the Fieldstone farmhouse and Alyson Anne cottage Friday and Saturday evenings. If you want a unique venue with attentive, knowledgeable owners, and breathtaking scenery, this is definitely the place to go!

Our wedding reception at Armstrong Farms was so beautiful and was such a wonderful part of our wedding day. We fell in love with the farm when we visited in January. (with a foot of snow!) and was simply stunned on our wedding day in September. The staff was nothing but fantastic to us as well. Our experience was amazing and so many friends and family told us how much they enjoyed the farm too! We'd recommend to anyone!!

I could not possibly say enough good things about Armstrong Farms to do them justice.
They were fantastic, the farm was fantastic, the barn was fantastic, the bonfire was fantastic, the goose was fantastic!
We received so many compliments that ended with "This is the nicest wedding we have been to". I know part of that is due to the hard work my husband and I put in but a large part of it was the atmosphere that comes with Armstrong farms. It was there when we went in December with snow and in February with the start of the rain and in May when the planting of the flowers was being done.
We had both our ceremony and reception at Armstrong farms, we were at the Westminster farm. It was the only one large enough to accommodate our canopy with all of our guests. Amanda was there e-mailing us back for the past year and half (we booked almost immediately after getting engaged) communicating with us, giving us tours of the place and showing us the items they have available for you to use. They were great about communicating with us and letting us know what was going on. John was there Saturday morning helping set up chairs and he checked in several times throughout the weekend to be sure we were ok.
Could not have picked a better location. <3 -

We got married at the Westminster Preserve barn, and the venue couldn't have been more perfect! The package included two guest houses on the property where the bride and groom and bridal party could stay all weekend. It rained for most of our weekend, but it barely made a dent in our celebration. The basement of the barn was perfect for an indoor ceremony, and cocktail hour was held on the porch and in the main barn. Amanda Miller was our outstanding coordinator for the weekend, and worked closely with us for months leading up to the big day. She was always one step ahead of us and made the weekend go flawlessly. She took care of all the details so we could enjoy and have a stress-free weekend! Very happy with our decision to get married at Armstrong Farms! -

I cannot say enough great things about this venue and the owners. First and foremost, the setting is beyond breathtaking. We viewed our venue, the Fieldstone Barn, in February and even with everything covered in snow, it was still stunning. Come our wedding date on August 15, it was even more than I could have imagined. We got some amazing photos in the afternoon when we arrived from our ceremony, and got even more stunning photos at sunset.
Kathy Allen was my event coordinator and she was amazing. I felt like I was working with my own mom! Her experience with coordinating weddings was unmatched, she communicated directly with all of the vendors I selected to make sure they knew where the venue was and when they could deliver everything. I have a really busy life working a full time and part time job, and she took SO MUCH of the work out it for me. In addition, her ‘Prop Shop’ came in so handy when I needed decorations, whether they be table numbers, old windows, glass jars, chalkboards, you name it, she had it, and it was all at my disposal. My only single complaint would be a small lapse in email communication, but Kathy followed up with phone calls the entire week before the wedding, so no details were missed.
I was told by quiet a few of our guests that ours was the best wedding they have ever been to, which was quite a compliment, and I know that the venue had a lot to do with that!

I worked with Kathy from Armstrong Farms and our reception was absolutely beautiful! I was a bit nervous after we booked the venue and I saw some reviews online saying that it was hard to get in touch with her. After reading these i was VERY nervous. I am writing this review because we had SUCH an amazing experience with Kathy and Armstrong Farms and so I want to let any brides looking to book the barn to know that I am SO HAPPY that I did! We had our reception at the Alyson Ann barn and there were just so many wonderful, unique things about this venue that we loved. First, the cottage they give you for the weekend was awesome! Cute, cozy, fabulous! Our bridal party stayed there and it was a great place for us to hang out during the cocktail hour and eat/drink before we joined the party. They also let guests camp right next to the cottage which saved our graduate school friends a lot of money! The next morning the guests who stayed there had an amazing breakfast--the BEST ham, egg, cheese sandwiches I have ever had (literally) and gigantic delicious sticky buns among other selections. The barn itself looked amazing and with this venue you do have to plan most of it yourself (which you know going in) but I gave Kathy and our caterers everything to setup and it was amazing!! Kathy was very helpful and sweet. She gave us advice, helped me with the planning, provided a ton of decorations (i.e. centerpieces, table numbers, etc.) saving us lots of money and I think she is just a wonderful woman to work with. And I only had "trouble" getting in touch with her once or twice--although she responded within a day or two so it really was not a big deal at all! The bonfire after the reception was great! We knew we had to light the fire, but she provided all the kindling and our guests loved sitting around, singing!, and drinking the leftover wine and beer :D Lastly, after the wedding everyone said it was the most beautiful, unique venue they had ever been to! It was just such a great night and I am so happy that we booked Armstrong Farms!! -

Great weekend, beautiful space, memories made!
My husband and I had an overall wonderful experience having our wedding at Armstrong Farms. All of the staff is friendly and helpful, and they will work with you to bring your dreams to life! It is definitely important to have a vision and clear plan for decorating/execution of details in your day. The coordinator helps with the flow of the day and providing scheduling/venue-specific directions, but it is up to you to be well-planned and delegate tasks to your helpers! (These roles were explained well ahead of time, so this was not a surprise.)
We had our rehearsal dinner on-site and utilized the on-site lodging (cottages) for our wedding party and ourselves throughout the weekend. It is so convenient and fun to be able to stay at the venue for several days as we prepared and spent quality time in anticipation and later celebration with our family and friends. Many members of our wedding party frequently mentioned how special it was to spend the night before our wedding all making memories and getting excited together in one big "sleepover" of sorts. The accommodations were quite cozy. It was wonderful to wake up exactly where we needed to be and to also be able to have our ceremony and reception at the same site (cuts transportation costs and also makes it easier for older friends and family for whom mobility and transportation independence is a challenge). The staff at Armstrong were flexible in allowing us to have our ceremony down by the water even on a day when the ground was soggy after rain. We were determined to highlight this beautiful natural aspect of the venue that we had so fallen in love with, and they went to every effort to make our wishes come true, even when it was challenging. (They even allowed us to roll out artificial turf as an aisle to make walking in the wet grass easier!) I recognize that at many places, we would have been told "no" to having our ceremony down by the water with ground conditions like that, and I am so so grateful that they ran with our hopes! The owner, Andy, and coordinators Davlin and Nicole were on-site all day to answer questions and assist us as needed. Andy's expertise in years of venue direction is obvious in conversation and his leadership, and he was a very reassuring presence throughout the day. They communicated efficiently, kindly, and expertly with our vendors to answer any questions and make sure everyone was where they needed to be.
Beautiful space with scenic outdoors for photos. We had our wedding on 5/18/24, and we can't wait to get the photos back! We enjoyed the farm atmosphere with animals and wildlife nearby, but definitely make sure you are accepting of that! (We even had a snapping turtle nearby during morning set-up!) It added to the fun of the day.
Armstrong Farms helped make our dreams a reality, and all our guest could not stop commenting on the beauty and "rustic elegance" of the venue. Ample space for eating, socializing, and dancing in the barn/tent throughout the reception as well. Best day of our lives! -

I was married at Armstrong Farms on 4/30/11 and we had a great experience. What truly made our experience was that we were the only wedding on the farm that weekend. Typically there are 3 sites, each hosting a wedding during the summer months. However, prior to May (not sure what the Fall bookend is), only one property is used as it is temperature controlled. So, we were able to rent all 3 houses and have the run of the property, with our choice of where we wanted to have the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, etc. We also got the full attention of the owners, which was wonderful. In reading other reviews, I think that this is the way to do it- as the only wedding in the "off season". The cost is significant and you really get the most bang for your buck doing it this way. We found the owners to be responsive, professional, and very lovely to work with and we could not have had a better experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend this location with the caveat of having the wedding in the off-season to get the maximum experience. (Of course you would need to be easy-going about weather or just plan for an indoor ceremony- we got lucky with warmth and sunshine). -

This was the most picture perfect place in Western PA to have a wedding. We had the ceremony on-site and they were flexible to our requests. They also set up the ceremony indoors and outdoors b/c rain was on and off. We ended up having it outside and many stood from the balcony to avoid the wet grass. Turned out great! John was especially calming b/c of his easy-going nature. The only complaint is that they weren't good at returning emails. Planning from 500 miles away made it a little difficult and I used email for a lot of planning. Kathy was not quick to respond. Phone calls were responded to quickly though. I would recommend Armstrong Farms, but have someone who isn't in the bridal party act as your coordinator. Thanks!! -

Beautiful venue, but bad ending to our wedding weekend.
I hate to even write a review like this, but I will always have this feeling about our wedding day and it's not a good one. We chose to get married at the Fieldstone Barn location because it met all of our must have's.. unique, air condition, ceremony site, cocktail hour floor, weekend rental. It also gave us access to their "prop shop" which came in handy MULTIPLE times. Fast forward to the week before our wedding, we go through the weekend plans, everything is planned down to the hour. During our final meeting, we discussed our card box and who will responsible for it and the gifts. Very quickly, Armstrong Farms employees say they will take responsibility for the cards & gifts - they will be locked away in the office. We thought great, that’s one less thing we have to worry about. Our wedding day was perfect. Our timeline moved according to plan, I was getting pictures sent to me as the venue was setup and everything was beautiful. All day, our guests kept telling us how beautiful the venue was. Now, we are home getting ready to leave the next day for our honeymoon and go through our cards and gifts. While we were going through them, I notice a few things might be missing, but figured with all the boxes we packed up maybe they were elsewhere or maybe our guests forgot them. We go on our honeymoon and I'm still thinking I didn't get a card from one of my best friends since I was in grade school - so strange and unlike her. We get home from our honeymoon and go through our cards one last time. We notice there are over ten cards and gifts missing.. We search high and low, call family members but the gifts just aren't with us. We start to contact our guests (mind you these are reliable guests who are VERY close to us and have always been very generous). We explain it’s not about the money or gift, it’s the fact that their gift might not have made its way to us and that is NOT okay. Our guests told us they 100% placed their card in the box at the venue. Several of our guests also shared that they placed two cards in at the same time (we received one card, but not the other). I reach out to our venue coordinator; she says they aren't at the venue. Then, I called the manager of Armstrong Farms because that answer just didn't sit well with me. How aren't they there? The manager tells me she will call me when she's back in the office. Couple of days go by, I get a short email that the cards aren't in the office – but they will keep an eye out.. I replied to her that I was disappointed considering Armstrong Farms voluntarily took full responsibility for our cards and gifts. Then, I get a call from the owner and we go through it all again. He told me to check with family members because sometimes family picks them up to keep them safe… My wedding was over a week ago – no one is holding onto our cards and gifts. When I asked if his employees had a background check he never said yes, so I'm assuming that's a no. The owner tells us we will hear back from him within a week - it's been over a week, no follow up. I write this because I will always have this memory about our wedding day. We should have asked a family member to care for our card box, but we gave trust in the $10,000 venue. I’m very disappointed with the outcome and that our perfect day will forever have this cloud over my memory. If you rent this venue, ask a family member to tend to your gifts and get insurance that will cover such a horrible situation. -

I agree with the other reviews who explain that, although the owners attempt to sell themselves as wedding coordinators, be prepared to do all of the work yourself. The venue is extremely beautiful and we had a wonderful weekend. However, what you actually receive in assistance and service is not worth the total cost in my opinion. You do not get what you think you are paying for. Our wedding coordinator was a teenager and unprepared to assist vendors such as the caterer and bartender. She was very kind and she did her very best given the circumstances, though. The caterer admitted that this was the 4th time she had done a wedding at this location and it is one of the most frustrating because you receive no help from the owners/coordinators. Prior to our wedding weekend, I had to resend emails to the owner after failing to receive proper responses. I was frustrated with the lack of "take-charge" attitude needed to run 3 barns and 3 weddings at once. They should certainly invest in hiring reliable professionals to assist with their events, as I did not feel that I was met with the appropriate amount of professionalism in handling a wedding. Being kind and polite can only take you so far. If you are able to handle the leg work, then your wedding will turn out just fine despite what is lacking on their end... They are great people and are very warm and inviting, but a wedding is a major event requiring a little more organization, effort, and responsiveness. -

Armstrong Farms is an absolutely beautiful venue. Amazing, perfect. The setting absolutely made my wedding. That said, do not book this venue unless you plan to do everything yourself. The owner sells herself as a wedding planner and promises to be your main contact with the rest of your vendors. This is simply not true. Before the wedding, she was really unresponsive, especially over email, and even made me feel a little guilty for trying to contact her. She made it to one vendor meeting when I met my caterer at the barn but showed up over an hour late! On the day of the wedding, we arranged all of the tables and chairs ourselves. When it rained earlier in the day, our groomsmen wiped down the wet ceremony chairs. In fact, she promised to run our rehearsal, be there to arrange my dress before I went down the aisle, etc. I think I saw her twice all weekend - the second time when she came to collect her money. I had an amazing wedding and would hold it again there in a heartbeat - just be careful and don't buy what she's trying to sell. -
