Great people to work with !

I bought my wedding dress at Arlene’s bridal for my wedding in April 2024. Debbie was great and very patient with me . I just had a baby right before trying wedding dresses on and she gave me so many beautiful options . I loved their “Sunday Funday”, where my bridesmaid also received the VIP treatment as well. Alterations were perfect and reasonably priced. Overall, I had a great experience with Debbie and Jewel . I felt like a princess on my wedding day . I will recommend Arlene’s bridal to every bride I know.

Best Experience!

Arleen’s Bridal gave me the best wedding dress experience. They helped me and my mom find the most gorgeous dresses. Both of which were very well priced. My mom was undergoing cancer treatment when we went to pick out dresses and they made sure the clear the show room for her so that she wouldn’t be exposed to COVID. Their seamstress is incredible and can literally solve any problem you have!

Beautiful Dress/ Best Experience Ever!

Finding my dress at Arlene’s was by far one of my favorite wedding planning experiences. I would call every bride in the world personally if I could, and tell them that this is the ONLY bridal shop you will ever need to go to. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Debbie, Jewel, and the rest of the staff here. I went in for my dress appointment with a style in mind completely different than what I ended up with. I told Debbie what I was looking for, and she found me the exact dress to try on. When I realized I hated it on me, and no longer wanted that style, but didn’t know what else I would have liked, Debbie immediately knew what to show me- She pulled out a new Essence of Australia dress that had just come in, and told me that she just knew it was going to be perfect for me. I was skeptical at first, because it was not something I would have chosen on my own, but I decided to trust the professional and try it on. I was SO happy I did, and when I saw myself in my dress, I cried. She knew right away what I was going to like, and helped me pick a dress that quite literally felt like it was made for me. I knew right away that was my dress, and she came out with a sign and a bell, and did the whole “ are you saying yes to the dress?” thing. It was beautiful, and the whole experience was everything I could have wanted and more.
I ended up bringing all of my bridesmaids there to get their dresses, and Debbie set up a whole “Sunday Funday” for us. We had the entire store to ourselves for 2 hours, and were able to bring snacks and champagne, and have such a great time finding all of the girls their dresses (I also had each girl in a different color and style, and they were all patient and great at finding the perfect dress for all 6 girls !)
My dress arrived much earlier than expected, with no issues, and when I had to postpone my wedding for a year due to Covid, Debbie offered to store all of our dresses for the entire time without question. They are all just amazing there. Debbie and Jewel are an absolute dream team, and made this whole process not only easy and seamless, but also so fun and actually enjoyable! Thank you both so much for everything!

Excellent Experience!

Debbie and her team were amazing to work with! I chose the first dress she had me try on, and I loved wearing it on my wedding day. I am so happy I bought my dress and had it altered at Arlene's.
I was a 'Covid' bride and had to postpone my wedding twice. Throughout the pandemic, Debbie was patient and flexible with storing and altering my dress. I had no issues and was confident that she would take good care of it.
I would definitely recommend Arlene's Bridal to any bride in the North Jersey area! Working with Debbie is like working with family. She makes you feel so good! Thanks again for all of your help!

perfect bridal shop!

Arlene’s Bridal was so wonderful to work with. This wasn’t the first shop I had gone to on my journey to find my perfect dress. Arlene’s was the most accommodating, personal and professional bridal shop I had gone to and I found numerous dresses that I really liked there. When I found my dress, I fell in love right away and Debbie helped make me feel like the most beautiful bride there was. I knew I should have started here, especially knowing that my sister bought her bridal gown from Arlene’s about 8 years prior. When we got the news that we needed to postpone the wedding for an entire year, Debbie assured me that they could hold the dress and keep it safe until we were ready the following year. Sure enough, it was even more perfect than what I could remember when I last tried it on. One of the things I appreciated most about Arlene’s was the hospitality they offered and no one there was pushy in any way. They offered their genuine advice but did not push any additional sales. Every time I came in, they knew exactly who I was and remembered my own individual story. This made everything feel much more personal and made me happy to pick a boutique so close to my hometown. I highly recommend all brides to check out Arlene’s, you will not be disappointed!

SO amazing!

After searching and searching for my wedding dress, who knew it was so close to home! I walked into Arlene’s and was happily greeted by Debbie and she helped me find my dress, and it was a spur of the moment pick by Debbie after actually listening to what I like and didn’t want in my dress! They all know their stuff and so amazingly sweet and easy going! She made me feel so comfortable and I knew that I was in great hands. I could not have asked to be able to find my dress with the best woman ever! Debbie and her team at Arlene’s was so helpful from start to finish! I felt so beautiful and my gown was everything I never knew I wanted! The details and the fit of the dress was perfect! The dress picked me and I trusted myself to pick it. I am so delighted! Incredible

I could never thank Deb and Pam enough for all they have done for me. They dressed me from head to toe for my wedding day, and I felt so amazing. I had so many guests come up to me and tell me how stunning my dress was and how it was so different than anything they've ever seen. I had gone to a few other dress shops, and every dress the others had me try on were so wrong for me. I found a dress in another store that I thought could be the one, so, I e-mailed Deb a picture of it, and she knew the dress, right down to the designer and model number (I didn't write it down from the other shop), I was blown away. I tried the dress on at Arlene's and we all knew it was wrong as soon as I put it on. The thing I loved most about Arlene's was they listened to me! I hate wedding dresses with lace, and they helped me find the perfect wedding dress without lace! And I was able to look through dresses myself, with expert guidance, rather than having someone with no experience shuffle through a bunch of dresses in the back to put me in. Lastly, they helped me get the proper undergarments. I know that sounds silly, but, undergarments really make or break a dress, and the corset Pam put me in pulled the whole outfit together. The expert tailoring, the experience and knowledge of Deb and her team, the level of customer service I received at Arlene's was unlike anything anywhere else. All of my girls got their dresses here too, and they looked STUNNING. I loved every moment of my experience at Arlene's, and I'm just sad that it's over.

Perfect Fit!

I originally found Arlene’s Bridal shop when I fell in love with an Essense of Australia gown and they were one of the few shops that carried it. What I didn’t realize at the time was that Arlene’s Bridal and the owner Debbie take such pride in their work and truly care about making every bride feel special on their wedding day. With a curvier figure, I often find it difficult to find dresses that fit me properly. My consultant Jewel was so knowledgeable about the gowns that she quickly calmed my fears and concerns. She made sure that I tried multiple options to be sure that my original choice was the best and helped me to reaffirm my original decision. Throughout the fitting process, the owner Debbie made sure that my dress was fitted to make me feel comfortable and beautiful on my special day. Debbie is truly a perfectionist who notices every detail and put the care and attention into ensuring my gown was perfect.

The best around!!!

There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this bridal salon. Debbie, Julz and the rest of the staff made every part of this wedding process a breeze. I got my wedding dress from here, all my bridesmaids got their dresses here, and my cousin also just bought her wedding dress here as well! They make you feel like family!!! They never ever try to push a dress that's more expensive, they will only tell you what they feel looks the best ! I Jessi the wedding dress tailor is amazing !! My dress was very large on me she had to take it in about 3 sizes and she did it in one fitting! It fits me like a glove! I can't thank this bridal salon enough for being nothing short of amazing with my dress and my girls dresses !!! Go there and you won't be disappointed!!

I have been to Arlene's a lot this year- bridesmaid dress for my best friend's wedding, got my wedding dress altered there, and brought my bridesmaids there for their beautiful dresses. Every experience was great and they were always helpful. My wedding dress looked gorgeous after having to completely change the length of an intricate lace design. I found the wedding dress of my dreams here! When I first showed up at this small shop in Bloomfield I didn’t know what to expect. I had already tried 3 other places with no luck. All the dresses at Arlene’s were beautiful and unique – I found my dress with ease! Debbie and the staff were very helpful and friendly to work with. Throughout the alteration process, I was amazed at what Jesse was able to accomplish. She made the dress fit as if it were made for me! I thought the dress prices were reasonable as well. I attended the veil and headpiece show a few months later, and got a great deal on a matching veil & hair pins! Huge shout out and Thank You to everyone there – I would highly recommend!

What a fabulous experience at Arlene's Bridal! Ironically, I found my wedding dress on Pinterest (a Morilee dress). When I called Arlene's to see if they carried this specific dress, I became overjoyed to know that they carried this dress and more importantly had it in the store to try on. From my very first experience at Arlene's to my last appointment, everyone there made me feel like I was their only customer. Deb, Jule and the seamstress were all great to work with! They genuinely made me feel like "a bride." They gave great suggestions for shoes, accessories and jewelry, as well. I would definitely recommend Arlene's Bridal to any bride!

Finding Arlene's Bridal Salon was one of the best things that happened to me while planning my wedding! They not only helped me find my perfect dress, they also helped my mother and bridesmaids find theirs. I drove over an hour each time to get to the salon.. it was well worth it! They were quite accommodating when I hit traffic and was running VERY late to one of my appointments. They even saved me a trip back by scheduling my final fitting and pick-up for the same day (I had a few last minute alterations). I would absolutely recommend them 100%!!

I fell in love with a Kenneth Winston dress at Arlene's Bridal and Debbie was such a great help. In addition, the seamstress Jessie did an AMAZING job with my mermaid style dress to make sure that it fit well. I had several dress fittings and was pleased every time. They were friendly and funny and very flexible with my hectic schedule. They have a great selection of dresses and accessories.

I had a great experience at Arlene’s Bridal Salon, despite some questionable reviews I read online. I got my bridesmaids dresses here. The dresses complimented each girl in my bridal party and were very reasonably priced. My bridesmaids also had the choice of having the alterations done there or taking the dress elsewhere for alterations, which I liked because my girls lived in all different areas. Debbie, Jewel and the rest of the girls were wonderful to work with. They were always so nice, super helpful and incredibly sweet – their sense of humor and witty dialogue seemed to make the anxiety melt away! I lost around 50ibs from when I ordered my dress to my first fitting and they barely blinked an eye - they essentially had to make me a new dress. This shop is phenomenal! Their dress selection is the best I've seen and somehow I managed to find the dress of my dreams below budget! They have a fantastic selection of Mori Lee dresses that I absolutely love. Camilla was an amazing dress consultant and Nikki helped so much during the whole process. The owner Debbie is SO sweet and makes everyone feel welcome. But I really need to shout out Jessie - she must have magic hands because she made my dress look and feel like it was my second skin. She took lumpy parts of the boning and smoothed it out to lay nicely against my silhouette. She added some extra tulle under my gown to make it more full at the bottom. She had to oh-so-carefully remove all the delicate lace to shorten the dress and made the most delicate (yet complicated lol) bustle for my train. Jessie is fantastic and worth every penny for alterations. I am sending all of my newly engaged friends to this bridal shop!

I am so happy i found Arlene's Bridal! I had the best experience. everyone was extremely nice, warm, and caring. From the moment i walked in with my mom and sisters we were treated like family. Every time i walked in for a fitting everyone knew me, which made me feel special. the selection and styles are numerous and the pricing is affordable, the staff is kind and patient. i really can not say enough great things. Arlene's Bridal Salon was the first stop my mom and I made when we went wedding dress shopping. I fell in love with the third dress I tried on and came close to saying yes to the dress but I wanted to make sure and see what else was out there. After checking out three more salons I had made appointments for, nothing compared to Arlene's Bridal. From the moment we walked in the salon staff made sure to acknowledge us even though they were busy helping other brides at that time. The staff was warm, inviting, friendly, and very accommodating. Debbie & Pam were awesome! You can tell they enjoy what they do because they take the time to get to know each bride and her interests. Wedding dress shopping can be stressful, but this place definitely made me feel at ease and stress free. So glad to be a part of the family!

What's the most important thing about choosing a wedding dress? That you love it, whatever one you pick. I bought a Maggie Sottero Chesney dress from Arlene's and was just so pleased!! It fit so well and I got so many compliments while staying within my budget. Jewel and Debbie were wonderful to work with and they completely accommodated my timing. I'm in NYC and had tried RK for a Maggie dress...which would not have arrived until a day before my wedding. When I went to Arlene's I was relieved to order one in the style I'd wanted with plenty of time to spare. And even though it was a form-fitting sweetheart dress with an inner corset, the beautiful dress kept feeling more comfortable on the day of--as if it were molding to me, not the other way around. That's because these dresses are well-made. The seamstresses here are wonderful, know bodies and their craft and will spend time with you. Another thing I found noteworthy about Arlene's is that it is up to you--to know how it feels, how to adjust and to know your style. Thank you!

I loved my experience at Arlene's Bridal! I absolutely loved my dress and all of the girls who helped me with my try ons, fittings, and alterations were so sweet and helpful. I especially loved the seamstresses, they are the sweetest ladies and I also loved working with Nicole, she was fabulous!! She helped me numerous times to try on dresses and then try on my dress during fittings. Nicole's dad even ended up being our florist (Michael's Florist in Bloomfield) and he was awesome and our flowers were so so beautiful! My bridesmaids also had a great experience here as well with their bridesmaid dresses! I/we had an all around wonderful experience!

All the ladies at Arlene's Bridal Salon deserve a 5/5. I must have tried on my final wedding gown a total of 10 times before we finally decided it was the right fit for me. Debbie even held my dress for three yeas after I postponed my wedding....even though it was out of style by now I still was in love with my gown and would not trade it for what is in style now. They do have a trunk show a few times a year which allows you to pick out accessories (a little bit over priced) but you have plenty of options to choose from. They have a great selection of gowns and are highly patient with you. However, no matter what others say pick what is right for your body type and always take someone else with you. I got plenty of compliments all night on my wedding gown. Thank you again!

I cannot begin to express how wonderful my experience was from beginning to end at Arlene's Bridal. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with smiles, and greeted warmly! Jules was my consultant and she was nothing short of wonderful, she was laid-back, but professional, saw my vision, and was completely dedicated and patient and took the time to help me find exactly what I was looking for even if it meant changing a dress to make it perfect for my special day.
Their selection is wonderful, and their prices even more so! I also, was lucky enough to buy my bridesmaids and flower girls dress here as well. Again the selection and prices were wonderful. Debbie, Jules and the Staff were so willing to go above and beyond to accommodate all of my needs from my pregnant bridesmaids to a flower girl out of state. I cannot thank them enough for everything!

I searched a few other bridal salons before Arlene's Bridal Salon was recommended by a friend. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in the right place. The consultants were so helpful and welcoming, and with just a few details about what my wedding theme was and what my style was, they were able to pick a number of beautiful dresses for me. The amount of dresses you can try on is not limited like some other bridal shops. The consultants, and the owner Debbie who is ALWAYS there to help, are very honest about how the dresses look on you and really help you find the one that makes you look like a princess. Wonderfully, personalized experience from day one till the day I picked up my dress. My dress is gorgeous (fit great from the start but the alterations for my cap sleeves and hem were beautifully done and with great care). Thank you all for helping with the rushed order as well! There were some sketchy reviews online about Arlenes specifically about the owner Debbie that made me a little nervous about actually going. Well I decided to hell with the negativity I'll be my own judge. Pinterest totally made me a scatterbrain so I had no idea what I was looking for I was all over the place. Priscilla reigned me in and got An idea of what I was looking for. I tried on 7 dresses and the last dress I just knew it was mine, I couldn't stop smiling. She accessorized me and I knew i had found my dress. When I told her I had one other appointment she totally understood and said that when I was ready to come back she would be there, she didn't pressure me or anything, well I went to that other appointment and couldn't wait to get back to arlenes to get that dress back on! I practically ran out of there and called Priscilla and told her I made my decision she told me to come right in and made time for me right away. She put me back in the dress and accessories without any hesitation and I knew it was the one. I love the staff here, the selection and the service they give you truly makes you feel so special. I highly recommend Debbie and Priscilla.I'm so glad I went! Debbie was a sweetheart and my consultant Priscilla hit the nail on the head and found me my ideal gown. I can't wait to go back for their accessory show and my fittings!!! All the ladies there were so sweet and complimenting me on how beautiful I looked, I truly felt so special. Debbie has a wonderful team of girls there and I'm proud to be an arlenes bride!

My dress was BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could wear it more often. I really loved my dress, and without Christina at Arlene's, I would never have found it. They have a great selection and the staff is so knowledgeable about their dresses. They did a great job with the tailoring as well. All of my girls got their dresses at this salon as well. The store is very busy, but they usually find a way to fit you in. Christina is no longer there, but the rest of the staff is great too! The owner, Debbie, is very personable and friendly as well. I recommend them every chance I get.

I decided to try Arlene’s because I knew a few ladies who got their dresses or the bridesmaids’ dresses from them. My very first wedding dress shopping experience was at David’s Bridal where I tried on maybe 5 dresses and was not impressed with any of them. My first appointment with Debbie at Arlene’s was a much better experience. Debbie and I talked about what I was looking for as far as style and price and I must have tried on 20 dresses that day. I found a dress that might be a contender but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for so I left empty handed that day, but something told me I had to go back to Arlene’s for my next shopping trip. The next trip I tried on the dress I semi-liked before but still had the same impression on it. Debbie then pulled another similar dress that I tried on and it was the instant “Say yes to the dress” feeling. However I can be very indecisive and wanted to sit on the decision. THIRD trip back to Arlene’s I tried on the dress again and was convinced.

My experience from Debbie and the girls at Arlene’s was amazing because of the time they spent on helping me find my perfect dress. After trying on those 20+ dresses at first, I tried on my final 2 contender dresses at least 5 times also; and the staff there was very patient with an indecisive bride who was trying on tons and tons of dresses.

Because of the great experience with my dress, all of my 7 bridesmaids also got their dresses through Arlene’s and they did a fantastic job with the alterations – they even used some of the extra fabric from one of the girls’ dresses to make a sash for my flower girl’s dress!

My alterations were done by Jessie and she was nothing short from amazing on making the dress fit me perfectly, especially those teeny tiny tweaks to make me more comfortable and the dress look even more amazing!

Brides, you need to go to Arlene’s! :-)

My sister in law brought me to Arlene's to try on Wedding Dresses one day - no pressure since my wedding was still 10 months away. Little did I know but I fell in love with the first dress that they put me in and ended up wearing it for my wedding last month. It was a stunning Mori Lee dress and I still love looking at it in pictures. I was one of those brides that was convinced I would only find my dress at Kleinfeld's or some fancy boutique and end up paying over $5,000. I am so happy that I found Arlene's instead - they are so friendly and not overpriced. Debbie was great to work with and never got annoyed with me with all my alterations and requests. I highly recommend working with her and visiting Arlene's, but I do recommend that you schedule an appointment not on a weekend when the store gets too busy and too hectic. I'm not from the area and never would have found it on my own, but it's a little hidden gem.

I loved this vendor because the staff was incredibly kind. They were honest, never pushy about selling me something I didn't need or want, and the most accommodating and enthusiastic group to work with! I was a difficult client because I had a huge bridal party, 2 colors, and no girl was wearing the same dress. They made it happen! They carried the designer I wanted and when they didn't have the exact dress we had been looking for online, they went above and beyond to find a dress just like it by a similar designer and color. They knew everything about dresses and made my girls beautiful!

My experience at Arlene's was absolutely wonderful. They accommodated my entourage (mom, sister, sister in law and best friend) without a problem. My consultants name was Jewel and she was great! I tried about 5 dresses here, the third being the one. I came in thinking I knew exactly what dress I wanted and Jewel let me know the cut of the dress wasn't right for me, I tried the dress on and she was completely right. I appreciated her honesty and then loved her even more when she put me in a dress that was half the cost. I couldn't commit though as it was the first time trying dresses on. Jewel wasn't pushy at all and let me know that she would keep my info on file if I wanted to come back. After a few weeks and visiting a few more shops I was back at Arlene's to order my dress. Jewel helped me with choosing my belt and veil, again giving me her honest opinion on everything.

Debbie the owner was also super sweet and honored a price match on my dress. I also brought to her attention that I had bought my belt prior to their trunk show where they were offering a higher percentage off if 2 or more pieces were ordered, without hesitation she made the adjustment on my veil and belt to reflect the additional discount.

When I went in for my first fitting I lost quite a bit of weight and dropped an entire dress size which had me a bit worried as I was scared of taking in so much. The alterations came out flawless! The dress fit like a glove and was hemmed perfectly. No complaints at all!

Dress shopping is usually incredibly painful for me--- because of my size and my insecurities about my figure, so I had a feeling that finding the most important dress I would ever wear would be the worst experience.... at Arlene's Bridal --- I have never felt more beautiful and comfortable standing in front of a mirror in my life!!!

This bridal salon made you feel so special. Everyone was so wonderful to me and my family throughout the entire process of finding and altering my dress!!

I was referred to Arlene's Bridal Salon by a family friend, and I am so glad to have found it! I had very mixed feelings about wearing a wedding dress, as I am not the kind of bride who has dreamed of my wedding for years or who wants to look like a princess. I wanted something simple, classic, and not too expensive. Christina picked out 8 different dresses for me and helped me put my reactions into words for each one, so we could keep moving toward something that I would like. She picked out a 9th dress as a kind of "just for the heck of it" option, and I fell in love with it. It is so helpful to have someone with a good eye for such things to see possibilities that you otherwise would not think to try! The women who helped me with the alterations were also wonderful--although it seemed like a shame to them to cut off the lovely train, when they realized it was what I wanted, they went ahead and did it for me, and we all agreed that the result was perfect! Not only that, but the price was less than we expected to pay for such a beautiful quality dress. I would definitely recommend Arlene's Bridal Salon.

I bought my gown at Arlene's bridal. Jewel was my bridal consultant. She was friendly and pulled gowns based on what I was looking for, what would look good on my body type and also a few of her personal favorites! I only tried on about 5-6 gowns before I found the perfect one! The woman who did my alterations was a perfectionist and did a wonderful job. I did not question her ability to make my dress fit me perfectly! My bridal party also got their dresses here. Arlene's let my bridal party come in and try dresses until my party found the perfect one. Arlene's had just the right amount of dresses to choose from. Not to many dresses to become overwhelmed but just enough (but they will order for you if they don't have the one you want in the store). They made sure my mom and each bridesmaide dress fitted them perfectly so we all looked great for the big day! There alterations were very reasonable, the lowest I have seen around. I highly recommend checking out Arlene's Bridal!

Arlene's is the BEST! I actually went to Arlene's years ago for a prom dress and had a great experience so when it came time to find a wedding dress, I knew just where to go. The staff (Jewel) was so amazing and took the time to find me the perfect dress. They will ask what your budget is and they will not show you something that you cannot afford unlike other places. These girls know their gowns and designers. Even if you have no idea what you want, they will ask you questions and help you find your dream gown. When it came time for alterations, the seamstress went above and beyond to make sure my dress was perfect. They know every trick there is. There wasn't even a possibility that my dress was going to move or slide down on my wedding day. I also got my bridesmaids dresses at Arlene's. They have a wide selection right in the store. They made finding bridesmaid dresses easy. All of my girls were extremely pleased with their dresses. My wedding was 3 weeks ago and I am still getting phone calls asking "who made your dress?" "where did you get your dress" I would recommend Arlene's to any bride. I promise you won't be disappointed!

I was recently married and used Arlene's Bridal for my dress, my bridesmaids dresses, my mothers dress and accessories for my bridal party. I cannot even begin to say how great this place is. My mother bought her dress here 30 years ago, my sister two years ago and when it was my turn, there was not even a question of where to look. Debbie is absolutely the best and her staff are amazing! I cannot stress enough how important the bridal store is because you deal with them a lot throughout the course of the wedding. I had the best experiences with Arlene's and they were always so helpful and flexible no matter what the situation was. Every time I went into Arlene's and saw Debbie and the staff it was like going home. I felt so comfortable there and the dress that I wore was absolutely incredible. They helped me to look amazing on my wedding day and I cannot recommend them enough for any bride looking for a place that is warm, friendly, flexible and truly professional.

If you do not go to Arlene's for your dress, I think you may be crazy. I had an amazing experience with them. I came in dead set on the dress that I wanted. My consultant, Christine, pulled my "dream dress" plus others like it, and a few that she thought I might like. Long story short, I hated the dress I had picked out (of course), and ended up falling in love with the dress she picked out for me from the second I put it on. It was that "ooo, ahhh" moment that every girl hopes for! I cannot stress how important it is to have an amazing consultant on your side, and Christine was that person for me! Better yet, you cannot beat these prices. I came in with a budget of $4,000 and ended up spending may $1,300 WITH ALTERATIONS. Speaking of alterations, holy crap, I have never seen better work done on alterations. When I walked down the aisle, I seriously looked like I was wearing a custom gown. And my amazing seamstress did not stop tweaking it until everything was perfect. We also got all of our bridesmaids' dresses here, and my girls all relayed an equally positive experience. I just cannot say enough great things about Arlene's, from their incredibly friendly and attentive staff to their great selection of dresses, headpieces, and accessories, Arlene's is the place to go!

I came without an appointment, and Debbie took care of me. I showed her one picture of a dress that I liked (just as an idea) and she just started pulling dresses.....she was like..."Oh you're easy.....you want an A-line, dropwaist, with a little sparkle, nothing to flashy....and with your figure.....that's going to look just great...." I fell in love with the second dress I tried on. Debbie was professioal, kind, and so lovely to work with. I ended up getting my bridesmaids dresses, and the mother-of-the-bride dress at Arlene's as well. I am so happy to have went in the store....oh did I mention my veil, headpiece, and jewelry too. First of all, I am so thankful that I went to Arlene's after going to David's Bridal. They have more dress selections and are more professional than the two David's Salons I went to.
On my first visit, my WHOLE family decided to go with me. Meaning, there were 10
of them with me. The owner was nice enough to accommodate us even if we took over the whole place. Luckily, we were all in sync on which dress suits me well. After that, the other 2 visits became a breeze. Full attention was given to me even if there were others trying on their dresses too. The alteration was perfect too. Family, guests and relatives all complimented my gown. I am so happy with everything!

I initially booked my appointment with Arlene's because it was one of the few dress salons close to me and when I called and found out that all of the dresses they carry are $2,000 or under, right in my budget, I was excited! They definitely have a great selection of high quality dresses in all styles. Staff is helpful and comforting, sort of a family feel. In no way did I feel pressure to buy. Every time I called to follow up everyone was helpful and responsive. I didn't have alterations just boobies added in and that came out fine.

They also have late nights, which is great for the working bride

My sister had gotten her bridal gown at Arlene's three years ago and loved the experience, so when I was in the market for a gown last year I knew that I should go to Arlene's. I live in Arlington, VA but my family is from Northern NJ, so when I went home to visit last summer we went dress shopping. The ladies at Arlene's helped me find the PERFECT dress for my beach wedding this summer. When it was time for my fittings, they were accommodating and really helped me since I am from out of state. I had been looking for a sample of a certain dress throughout all of Manhattan and couldn't find it until I expanded my search to NJ and found this gem of a bridal salon and they had the sample dress that I was obsessed with! Jewel was extremely attentive to me and my "entourage" and even though I had my dress already picked out, she made sure I tried on many different styles to make sure that my pick of the dress was "my" dress. She actually took extra time when I could have tried on the 1 dress and been happy with it! I did end up buying the dress I came in looking for and while paying, we started browsing the bridesmaid and mother of bride dresses, we bought them all that day! They were awesome, the alterations were perfect and everything was more affordable than anywhere else. This place gave me the PERFECT bridal experience!

I initially went to Arlene's Bridal in search of bridesmaid gowns. I have approximately 7 bridesmaids, and we thought that the process was going to be painful. However, upon arrival Jewels was great! She set up the rooms, and assisted myself and the bridesmaids with selecting dresses that would fit each and everyone's body. The girls found their dresses in approximately 45 minutes, and we had fun going through the process. Because I was not sure as to whether or not I was going to buy my dress from Arlene's I told them that I had not had a gown, and was interested in trying some on. Immediately all of the associates encouraged me to start looking for gowns. Therefore, I made an appointment to come in after work, on Thursday @ 5 p.m. I was excited but was also dreading this event, because I've watched so many reality t.v. shows. I thought that I was going to be indecisive, aggravated, and wasn't going to be able to find anything. The process was awesome, and Jewels worked so well with me. I tried on 7 dresses, and fell in love with number 5. made my purchase by 5:45 p.m., and I am ecstatic.

I originally purchased my Maggie Soterro dress from another vendor. After a few months of placing my order the store went out of business and never told their customers'. I went on Maggie Soterro's website and came across Arlene's Bridal. I went on their website and noticed that on top of carrying Maggie they also carried Alfred Angelo dresses, which is what I wanted for my bridal party,
On my first visit to Arlene's I met with Jewels. I explained to her my prior situtaion and she was very helpful and honest with me. She explained that my wedding was near and there was a possibility that my dress would have to be rushed. I appreciated her honesty because in many cases vendors will take advantage of the situation and charge you extra just to get more money.
As promised a few days later Jewels contacted me and told me that she can order the dress and there was no need to rush it.
When it came around for the fittings the entire staff was extremely helpful. They helped in every way possible to find the perfect accessories from the veil to something as small as a flower in my hair.
I can't thank Jewel, Debbie, Jessie and the rest of the girls enough for making this experience fun and stress free. I highly recommend them.

I bought my wedding dress from Arlene's Bridal- it was the Maggie Sottero Victoriana dress in Pearl Rose, and I loved it so much! If it was practical to wear it to work everyday I would!! The staff at Arlene's was absolutely amazing, and very accommodating to whatever needs we had. They did their best to make sure this whole process was stress-free, and thanks to them it was! Their seamstress is absolutely AMAZING and the way she altered my dress to fit perfectly made me look like and feel like a princess on my wedding day. My bridal party and I had to drive about an hour each way to get to Arlen's from where we live, but I would do it again in a heart beat! Thanks so much again to Debbie and the entire staff at Arlene's for a truly amazing experience!!

The staff & the service here was EXCELLENT! I went in just over a year ago to look at dresses and worked with Jewel, she was great! I was honestly not planning on buying a dress yet but I found something I loved & didn't want to pass it up! The rest of the experience through my last fitting yesterday was fantastic! Everyone in the store knew my name when I came in & they all kept telling me how great I looked & how much they loved my dress, which made me feel great! They have been very accommodating including I recently added a bridesmaid & I needed another dress in that color ( I had gotten dresses elsewhere because of convenience with my girls but wish I had not). But the designer had discontinued the color I got & Arlenes had 1 style in that color, I was able to go in that same week & my friend tried it on & they did the fitting right there! They were great! I highly recommend Arlene's as a great place to shop & people to deal with! THANK YOU!!!

What a gem! This was the first shop I went to to find my dress and after trying out some other places, I went back the next day to purchase my dress! I worked with Jewel who knew exactly what she was doing! I only tried out 2 belts to add to my dress and 1 veil. She made my experience easy and flawless! The owner, Debbie, is such a doll! She loves her brides and makes sure everything is taken care of! My bridesmaids also got their dresses through Arlene's, even though they did not actually carry it. Debbie ordered them for me and gave my girls a discount. All around great experience!!

I went to this salon because I knew that they carried Mori Lee. This was the first trip I made in search of a dress after I got engaged. I went downstairs and all of the dresses were zipped in the protector bags. I saw one dress hanging out of the bag because the sample had just arrived to the store. I tried it on and said yes to the dress. I didn't even try on a second one. There was no need. This ball gown was the HIT of our wedding 2 weeks ago. It looked like a million bucks and was only $1100. I also bought my shoes, jewlery, tiara, and veil at this salon. They were great to work with. I picked out my pink maids dresses as well for the girls as well as the flower girl dress. This place has a great selection at a reasonable price. I would 100% reccomend them. Also, I called around and everyone wanted $300 to preserve the gown. They charged MUCH less that so even thought I live an hour away I just dropped it off for be done. Make this salon the first stop on your list when shopping.

They were wonderful! I came in knowing what dress I wanted. They fit me in without an appointment, just to try on the one dress for my bridesmaids and moms. We all agreed this was the dress. From that moment on, they explained the next step, measuring and ordering the gown. Before I left I had my first fitting scheduled! Each time I returned, they remembered me and made me feel very welcome! The alterations were completed on time and with quality! Wonderful people and wonderful job!

Wow-don’t know where to start ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This shop was originally the second bridal shop on my list but because of its close locality to house I decided to make it push it to the bottom of the list questioning if they would have a good enough selection. After visiting 6 shops, my appointment at Arlene’s had come and I just knew I was going to be leaving there dress less but I didn’t. I had bridal consultant Allie and she was phenomenal. She was very patient and pleasant. She allowed me to pull as many dresses as my heart desired. Allie made dress shopping an enjoyable and stress free experience. With her help I was able to find the perfect dress, headpieces, jewelry and bridesmaids’ dresses. In addition to working with Allie I had the pleasure to working with Jewels. Her name says it all; she helped me with my mother’s attire. The seamstress there work wonders perfect on the first try. Current owner Deb made sure I was very satisfied with all my selections. The entire staff was friendly and very professional. I HIGHLY recommend Arlene’s; shop has great selections, reasonable prices, and excellent service.

Arlene's Bridal has been around for many years and it's easy to see why the minute you begin working with the staff there. They are knowledgeable and helpful when trying on dresses. Allee, Megan, and Debbie were patient while I decided between two dresses for our May 19th, 2012 wedding. They let me try my dress on 4 or 5 times before I actually committed! We also chose bridesmaid dresses from Arlene's as well. They allowed my florist to use the extra fabric from alterations for our bouquets. I've already recommended them to others celebrating a special occasion and would definitely go back again.

We had a great experience with Arlene's Bridal. I had looked at a few other salons before going to Arlene's. My mom & I went in and looked around. We first met Debbie and she was wonderful she had just the dress in mind for me. I put the dress on and it was perfect! After working with Debbie for the first few times we were there, than we worked with Meghan (she is no longer there), and for the last few fittings we worked with Allie. Everyone who works at Arlene's Bridal Salon was very FRIENDLY, nice and helpful.. We had bought the MOB & also found flower girl dresses that she did not carry, but was able to order them for us. The quality of service, professionalism, and the family that works at Arlene's was fantastic!

I found this salon due to the fact that they had a few drop waist dresses that I wanted to try on. I am so happy I found this salon, they were warm, welcoming, and honest! I had a regular strapless bra on during my last fitting and i felt like my top was gonna fall off. Luckly they had the cure and I got through my wedding day nice and secure! This is a great salon and very spacious. Def. give them a try, lots and lots of bridal dresses.

Kleinfeld's Who? Our dresses were phenomenal (wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses) and everyone really treated me like a family member. Arlene's has gone above and beyond in order to help me and my 7 bridesmaids + 1 jr. bridesmaid. Since many of my girls are from out of state, Arlene's arranged for the seamstress to come in on a Friday especially for us. All of my girls loved the dresses and many had minor alterations needed. The junior bridesmaid need the chest taken in completely and straps added. The staff at Arlene's was not only accommodating and competent, they also showed outstanding compassion and professionalism to each of my girls. Another plus is that their prices are the best in the area! I would recommend Arlene's to any bride!

Arlene's Bridal was amazing to work with. I worked with Debbie and Allie the most and they were kind, professional, and extremely knowledgable. I was shopping for a gown for a civil union ceremony and had no idea what I wanted, but Allie was patient and pulled a variety of things for me to try. She pulled a dress I never would have chosen for myself, but it was perfect!

I appreciate their straightforward information and caring style. The alternations to my gown were perfect and they were able to help me find the perfect head piece. They made me...the ultimate non-bride...engage and even get excited about the "bridal process". I cannot thank Arlene's bridal enough. They were amazing and I will recommend them to all my friends.

I love Arlene's Bridal!! I walked into Arlene's knowing I wanted a "vintage looking dress" and already had two in mind I had seen on the internet. I went there with my sister and my mom and was quickly greeted by Debbie. She was super friendly and super helpful! She pulled both dresses for me and answered every question I had about each dress. I had no plans on making any purchases that day, afterall it was the very first time I had even tried on a wedding gown. After trying on both gowns several times I decided on getting both! Debbie really tried to get me to pick the ONE but my mind was made up...Both it was! I even bought my wedding veil that day! One word: PERFECTION!

After speaking to both Jaime and Debbie about some changes I wanted to make to one of my gowns, Jaime informed me that she would sketch a picture of my gown before any alterations were made so that I would know exactly what I would be getting before I even made the purchase! I was AMAZED! Wow, she actually sketched a picture of my dress, which I still have by the way and will save forever! Thank you Jaime! All in all the service was amazing!

The alterations were done perfectly and I had not one, but two dresses that were everything I had imagined! Everyone complimented me all day and all night on both dresses. I looked amazing thanks to Arlene's Bridal and staff! Thanks to Debbie, Jaime and Meghan!! You made everything so easy for me and helped make my wedding day a dream come true!!

I cannot express my gratitude and how much I truly loved working with Arlene's Bridal Salon. It genuinely makes me sad that I don't have a "real" reason to visit the salon and the wonderful staff that work there.

I live and work in Manhattan and have visited on multiple occasions the more "traditional" NYC bridal salons and the difference is remarkable. After visiting the "traditional" Manhattan salon and not finding exactly what I wanted, one of my friend's recommended Arlene's.

After my first visit I knew I was in love - with the Arlene's that is. Every single person who works there genuinely cares about you and your day. They aren't just there to sell you a dress or a headpiece, but rather to be consultants for you to make sure that your vision of your wedding is exactly what you always dreamed of.

I found the dress I wanted at my first visit, but still wanted to look around a little more "just to make sure". Arlene's never pressures their customers or makes them feel a false sense of urgency to buy it now or never.

In between my first and second visit to Arlene's, I had already made a 2nd appointment at the "traditional" NYC salon and again went there to find a dress to no avail, I kept comparing everything to the selection (and price point) at Arlene's.

Finally, I went back to Arlene's bought my dress. Being there just felt right. Not to mention, the same line of dress was significantly cheaper at Arlene's versus other salons. Arlene's is a family business and everyone who works there makes you feel like you're part of the family, too.

I have worked with every single employee at the salon during my wedding and I can say without any doubt that everyone there is a true professional. From Debbie and Jewel to Allee, Meghan, Jaime, Stella and Giovanna, every single person made me feel like I was the only bride in the store.

Even though it would have been more convenient to go to a fancy bridal store factory in NY, I always looked forward to going to Arlene's and visiting with my consultants that became friends.

Not only were they helpful when choosing my dress, but Debbie, Allee and Meghan understood my vision. During the veil and headpiece show, they were able to find the perfect way to complement my dress and complete my look on the first try. They are the most experienced and personable individuals.

I never felt like I was being taken advantage of in terms of pricing, either. In being in other weddings I felt that other salons nickle and dimed me for every aspect of the dress, but at Arlene's they were upfront and there weren't any big financial surprises that I had to deal with at any point.

My mom who is not the easiest customer found a dress there, too and loved working with the team at Arlene's. Both Jewel and Debbie helped my mom find the perfect dress and they both had the patience of a saint. I had to walk out of the store for a breather for a few minutes and when I came back my mom had selected a dress and was happy.

All I can say is that almost every aspect of my wedding went awry at one point or another, but I never had any problems with Arlene's. They were amazing from the beginning to the end and I look forward to bringing my dress there to be cleaned.

Also, Allee kindly came to help me dress me the day of the wedding and I my entire bridal party was thankful as they saw her lace me up in my corset, they couldn't believe she did it so quickly and with such ease. Also, she was able to sew in my something borrowed and old on the spot - I could not have asked for a more lovely person to be with me on my special day!

I would recommend (and I have already) every bride to visit this salon because you will fall in love.

They have a great selection, highly competitive prices and wonderful service! Now, quit reading this and make your appointment!

I had such a wonderful experience with Arlenes Bridal!! Everyone who works there was so friendly and very knowledgeable. I went to Arlenes in November with my mom, shortly after I got engaged. I had already been to a few different salons in the area and couldn’t find what I was looking for. I had an idea in my head but nobody seemed to get the picture and pulled dresses for me that were just not right. I finally arrived at Arlenes and met with Jamie. She was so nice and asked me what my vision was. We went downstairs and I pulled a few dresses that I thought I would like and she then pulled one that I wasn’t too sure of but she said it was exactly what I had described to her. I tried the dresses on that I pulled and nothing was right so she urged me to try on the dress that she had pulled, the dress that I had described to her, and it was the most beautiful dress!! It was exactly what I was looking for! Jamie knew more about the dress that I wanted then I did! When I saw the tears in my mothers eyes, I knew we had found the dress! We purchased the dress on the spot! I went back to Arlenes with my bridesmaids a few months later and we had such great service from Debbie and Megan. We ended up getting 8 bridesmaid dresses and the flower girl dress. All the girls at Arlenes helped me choose the colors, Debbie was really fantastic at helping me get a vision of the dress in the colors I wanted. The dresses were absolutely beautiful. They all came in on time and they were perfect. My mother lives in Canada and purchased her dress at another store (RK Bridal in NYC). When her dress arrived it was way too big but the store where she purchased it wouldn’t help at all. I called Debbie at Arlenes and she said that they would either fix my mom’s dress or find her a new one. She called me back in Canada to let me know what the options were on getting my mom a new dress (we were only about a month away from the wedding) and I also set up an appt with the seamstress at Arlenes to take a look at her dress. The seamstress said that she could fix the dress and she did a fantastic job. The dress fit my mom perfectly! One of the best experiences that I had with Arlenes is the day I went in to the trunk show to pick out my veil and headpiece. All of my family and my bridal party lived in Canada so I went to the trunk show alone. But Debbie, Megan, Allee and Jewel put me in my gown and put every veil and head piece on me until we found the right one. I felt like I was there with my friends, it was wonderful. My dress fit me perfectly, the veil and headpiece were perfect and I was so comfortable on my wedding day. It’s a real family atmosphere at Arlenes and I was sad the day I picked up my gown because I had so much fun going into Arlenes and seeing everyone. I would definitely recommend Arlenes!! Thanks so much for everything ladies!!!

I absolutely love Arlene's bridals! The staff are so helpful in every way. Before my wedding, I was in there probably way more than I should have been to color match and stuff. Every time I came in, they were happy to help. They did wonderful alterations on my dress and all of the other dresses! We got everything from them!!! It all turned out beautiful!! I speak so highly of this bridal salon!! They really calmed my nerves through a process that can be very stressful and at the end of the wedding process... I felt like I made life long friends!!

I absolutely LOVE Arlene's Bridal. I have never had such a great and personal service. All the girls are absolutely wonderful and sweet. Jamie and Debbie (the owners) are so helpful and very hands on. They did not give up until I found my dream dress. I went to lots of bigger bridal shops and high end shops and the service there could never match the great service and attention that I received at Arlene's. Most people think that because it's a smaller and local place that they won't find what they need or want there, but it's the complete opposite. They have a large selection of different styles and sizes. They are also very great when it comes to alterations and customizing a style. They also offer a selection of beautiful head pieces and veils, hair combs, jewelry. I got everything from them, dress, hair jewelry, veil, my balerina slippers, corset bra, and even my bridesmaids dresses. My husband and groomsmen also rented their suits from Starlite Tuxedos which is also owned by the same owners. Those guys are also great and friendly and willing to work with your personal style as well. I don't understand why there are even any negative comments here for them. It doesn't sound like anything I have ever experienced here. I was at Arlene's throughout the whole year of planning for my wedding and I never once had a negative experience. I love them so much that I honestly wish I could work there. Best of luck to you brides and you won't be disappointed with Arlene's Bridal.

I went in on a whim with my sisters to look at dresses because it was going to be the last time I saw them until my wedding and got really discouraged because they were all WAY more than I had to spend. However, the saleswoman that was helping me encouraged me to pick a few and just try them on anyways. I loved three of them, but they were all about $1000 more than I could spend, she asked the owner what she could do and she gave me a floor model for less than 75% of the price. I loved my experience there, I would not have found a better dress for anything close to the price she gave me!

I purchased my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses from Arlene's for my July 2011 wedding. From initial visit to alternations to the final result everything was beautiful. Arlene, Megan and the entire staff is very warm and friendly and never too busy to soothe a frazzled brides's nerves. I highly recommend this bridal salon for it service, prices and selection. They also have a tuxedo shop attached and although I did not order from there they were very nice there as well. This is definitely one stop shopping!

I love the staff here! They are so incredibly sweet and always remembered exactly who I was every time I came in. I worked with Allie, Jaime, and Debbie. There was a bit of a misunderstanding when I went for my final fitting and my dress wasn’t actually done, but Debbie the salon owner was fantastic and got my dress finished and ready to go ASAP. My dress was amazing and the price was so reasonable. Everyone thought I spent thousands more then I did. They also have a great selection of dresses available.

Arlene's has been wonderful to myself, my mom and my bridal party. They helped so perfectly with everything. We had so much fun getting the dresses for my bridal party and even though my mom already had a dress, the owner suggested she try on this gorgeous dress and it looked amazing on her so she got her dress there too. We are also getting all the shoes from them as well. They've been so helpful and nice through the whole process. I am so pleased with this shop and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to have an easy, fun time dress shopping for everyone in their wedding!
