Ara was our photographer for an intimate elopement ceremony on the Oregon coast. When searching for a photographer, my husband and I found Ara's profile on Instagram. Her ability to capture such stunning angles instantly blew us away. We wanted a photographer experienced with elopement ceremonies in the Pacific Northwest, and her photos depicted just that. When chatting with Ara, she knew exactly what we wanted, which surprised me because I was still figuring it out myself. She even recommended a few spots for our special day, which we ended up selecting for our location. My gut told me to trust her, and we are so glad we did! As two people who are often more introverted than extroverted, we wanted someone with a larger-than-life personality to break us out of our comfort zone and capture our once-in-a-lifetime moment. Ara did precisely that. The photos brought tears to our eyes. We couldn't be happier that we chose Ara to be with us on our special day. -

We had such an incredible day with Ara from Aralani Photography and are pleased beyond words with the experience and the amazing memories. She captured our day precisely in the light-hearted, make-it-up-as-we-go style we were looking for.
We've only been to a handful of weddings, only enough to really know what we didn't want to have for our own wedding. Ara was such a blessing in that she understood our big-scene apprehensions instantly, offering logistical support, reassurance, and a plethora of ideas that fit perfectly with who we are.
I honestly don't have the words to express how pleased we are with Aralani Photography's final product. The lighting was brilliant on our wedding day and Ara used it expertly to produce shots so picturesque we can't stop looking at them. We really appreciated the online gallery that allowed us to view and download high-resolution photos and were equally thrilled that she is taking the time to send us a flash drive of the photos in the mail.
To close this review, I could go on and on... Ara's communication was wonderful throughout the process. My wife and I both felt that we were having an old friend taking our pictures rather than someone that tried to push us in directions we weren't interested. Although I don't have much and won't have any further experience with wedding photographers - I happily encourage anyone to reach out to Ara after looking through her website/portfolio. You will not be sorry you did.

I want to preface this by saying if I could give Ara 1000/10, I would! I have been following her work since 2008 and I have always been attracted to her unique and breathtaking perspectives through her camera lens. She was EVERYTHING I wanted and more in a wedding photographer. She made me and my wife feel beautiful, supported, and cared for on our big day. Her photographs continue to make me sob and she captured my wife’s and my personality to a “T”. I would recommend Ara in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for everything! -

Words could not express how overjoyed I am that we decided to elope in Oregon with the help of Ara. From looking at the photos on her website to the first ten minutes of our first phone call, we knew Ara would be the best person to capture our wedding day. Perhaps without realizing it, she generated a ton of excitement in my then-fiance to actually go through with the elopement plan. We bonded over Star Wars, and the rest was a breeze! She helped us narrow down what locations would best capture the experience we were looking for, gave advice for places to hike while in town, and recommended some amazing officiants and hair/make-up vendors. On the day of Ara was a delight to work with. She gave simple instructions to help us experience the moment, but still allowed her to take amazing photographs. My husband and I got to have a romantic, cute, cuddly day, with absolutely no stress, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Now, the pictures we received from Ara help us cherish these moments that were so elegantly captured in her photography. From butterfly kisses and skipping through fields, to wildflower picking and mild rock climbing, if you want an adventurous elopement Ara is the one! -

Creative, Professional, Priceless Photos
I recommend Aralani Photography with the highest of confidence you will LOVE her photos! Ara was professional from the contract to the day of the wedding to the follow up delivery of the priceless photos! Ara not only has an extremely creative eye, but is a positive, flexible ray of sunshine! Our daughter’s wedding was on the weekend of the fires and evacuation notices in September, so the day really could not have been more stressful! But you would never know it! The photos reveal a day that was a reflection of heaven! -

Ara is where it’s at!
Ara was a dream to work with with! We planned an elopement on the Oregon Coast from Ohio and all the credit goes to this incredible being behind the camera! We were thrilled with not only how our photos turned out but how she helped mold our wedding experience in general! Ara checks all the boxes, including the ones you weren’t aware of needing checked until the last moment.
We had a absolute blast giggling on the beach and hiking to the cliff’s edge to capture moments we couldn’t have even dreamt of without Ara’s knowledge and experience in the PNW!
Ara is true talent, memorializing some of our most treasured moments more vividly than we could have imagined. We continue going through them over and over just ooooing & awwing.
The landscape we love, our incessant laughter, our friends & fam, the reflections and splashes, silhouettes, smooches, and smiles all beneath the sunset that made our day ours!
We just could not stop smiling while we went through these. Ara captured what we feel are some of the most genuine moments we will ever have loving one of life's best days with our people! -

Ara was such a pleasure to work with! She is not only a very talented photographer, but friendly and easy to communicate with too. She provided suggestions of beautiful locations for our elopement, hair/makeup, an officiant, flowers, cake, etc. Since we were travelling from out of state to elope this made the planning process much easier. Her recommended vendors did not disappoint! She made our day something really special to remember. We will cherish our photos forever. I highly recommend Ara. The whole experience was great from start to finish. -

Ara is Amazing!
I found Ara's work online after searching many hours for someone who would capture the spirit of adventure that my husband and I are so passionate about. After looking through Ara's portfolio, I had a feeling she would capture our elopement perfectly. I spoke with Ara early on, and felt so comfortable and understood immediately. We had several phone conversations leading up to the elopement, and I was SO grateful for Ara's insights on scheduling, itinerary, dinner recommendations, and other vendor recommendations. Since I'm not from the area, her wisdom was so, so helpful, and she helped redirect plans and navigate through any stumbles we encountered. On the day of our wedding, Ara arrived exactly on time and led us through such a grand and beautiful adventure. She allowed us flexibility with our schedule, never rushed us, but was considerate with the agenda we created. She was patient, fun, creative, and we seriously had THE BEST DAY ever! When she sent us the photos, I almost cried. They were more beautiful than I ever could imagine. Ara's work is absolute magic, and the way she captured us, the beautiful nature around us, and our family was perfect in every way. Jennifer Sent on 06/21/2018Ara's work is truly amazing!! We did our engagement & wedding photos with her and could not be happier with the end result. We were very picky when selecting our wedding photographer as we wanted someone whose photos, we felt, could be used as artwork as we planned on framing one of our pictures to put in our home, but didn't want anything cheesy... and wow, did she deliver. Her background is in landscape photography so the images she is able to capture are breathtaking. She is beyond talented, a true professional, and so easy to work with. Her love and passion for what she does shows in her work. Our family and friends have not been able to stop gushing over the quality of our photos. Book her for your wedding, trust me, you will not regret it!!!

User2424196 Sent on 11/12/2015Ara is an epic photographer. We had an outdoor wedding in tricky lighting situations near a waterfall and the photos are just stunning. Plus, she is easy going and fun to work with. If you have the opportunity to work with her, do it! Anyone can point and shoot a camera but Ara's photos are magical. -

Holly Sent on 05/12/2012This was the first time my fiance and I had professional photos taken and it was a blast! Ara's professionalism and friendliness made the setting very comfortable. Before our photo shoot, we thought it might be a little awkward having someone we never met take pictures of us while acting like a couple displaying PDA. Ara made it fun and natural. My fiance and I would recommend her to anyone, and she will be the one we call in the future when we want pictures taken.
