When having a destination wedding (which I did) one of the most difficult parts is finding vendors. I found Aquamarine while doing an online search, and LOVED their portfolio. Their work looked amazing, and the price was reasonable- so I booked them expeditiously. Luisa was accessible, and the communication and expectations were clear from day 1. Fast forward to the wedding day, and 3 beautiful, kind, professional, and talented human beings walked in and got right to work. They captured EVERY moment I had hoped for, and even moments I didn’t know I was hoping for! All the while, making me feel comfortable, which is no easy task when I’m being photographed. They were even so kind as to help my mother in law put on her shoes- an act of simple kindness that was not overlooked, and was way above and beyond. They worked tirelessly throughout the entire day and night. When the pictures and video arrived, I happy cried (a few times). They understood the essence of my husband and I, capturing everything perfectly. I am a very picky person- and I would choose and recommend Aquamarine time and time again. -

Best Decisions we made choosing Aquamarine
I am so Glade I did my research and chose Aquamarine to capture all the best moments of our destination wedding in Costa Rica. Both my husband and I were impressed by the incredible work of our photographers and videographers on our wedding day.

Costa Rican wedding
My wife and I got married in January in Costa Rica. Luisa and her team were very accommodating running back and forth between two brides. They understood our vision and made us feel super comfortable. Their edits were beautiful and they overall were just such lovely and enjoyable humans! Also, the cost of the service and timeframe we had them was great and very affordable! -

More than what I expected!
I had the best day of my life and now have most beautiful memories registered by Aquamarine. I was looking for a professional that could capture more than moments, but feelings, and my pictures turned out better than I imagined. I’ll be forever grateful for that. Also , I need to comment about the professionalism, punctuality and stress free; no problems at all during the process. I highly recommend. -

Amazing Photos and Videos! Highly Recommend!!
Aquamarine Photography did an absolutely amazing job photographing and video taping our wedding! I highly recommend them to anybody getting married in Costa Rica. They were extremely professional, aided us in poses for our pictures, and went above and beyond to give us precious memories that we will cherish forever. Wonderful to work with!
Luisa and her team did a fantastic job shooting our wedding. Her team was very easy to work with before the wedding and incorporated our requests into the shoots. We had a beach wedding followed by a reception in the garden area of our hotel. We were able to get some beautiful sunset shots of the ceremony and great action shots on the dance floor! -

Everything about our experience with Aquamarine was fantastic. I booked them for a destination wedding in Costa Rica, Luisa worked with me ahead of time and was helpful with a few questions I had about the weather and times that would be good because I was a first time visitor. Any questions I had were answered ahead of time with great communication, on the day of the ceremony they just did a wonderful job and were so kind and accommodating. They both worked hard to make sure we would have beautiful photos and we do! Many of our guests commented on what a great find they were and how lovely they were to work with. I felt like Aquamarine really went above and beyond for us to make our day special, I would recommend them highly and am so very glad I was able to work with them! -

Beautiful artwork
Aquamarine photography was a relief during my process in planning a wedding. Initial contact-Luisa arranged a package for what I envision for a reasonable price. We remained in contact prior to the wedding date. She even help me to ask about vendor fee at the resort which skipped my brain and design a photo list. Even though we actually met at the wedding, she and her photographer partner helped in instructing our group with poses and selecting scenery to fit the vision. But when I got to see the pictures, my mind was blown and I was elated about the outcome. -

Luisa and her team were very prompt and patient on our wedding day, and went above and beyond to capture what we can only describe as amazing photos from the day. They made us feel instantly comfortable and were very professional, quick to adapt to the needs of the day, such as the heat, engaging with our children and having a great knowledge of the area to capture the perfect backdrop. They are amazing at candids and really captured the lighting and happiness of the day. They ran with some of our ideas as well, always willing to try new things and adapt. Friendly, Flexiable, Professional and Affordable
The ladies at Aquamarine Photography were amazing. I can't speak highly enough of these ladies. Communicating with them was easy, they were flexiable with our needs, they were friendly to us and our guest and their work turned out amazing!! They paid attention to detail and made sure everones faces showed in our group pictures. They made us feel comfortable while taking our pictures and let us be ourselves.

Aquamarine Photography went above and beyond with their services! I reached out to them almost 8 months ahead of my planned wedding date and they were super responsive the entire time. Coming from the states I didn’t know what to expect when finding a photographer/videographer for the biggest day of my life. I was beyond impressed with their services and the final outcome was nothing short of that. Their prices were amazing and they offer a wide range of packages/services for any group! They made the whole process so smooth and flawless (which is exactly was a bride needs!) I would recommend them to anyone who goes to Costa Rica for a wedding! -

Absolutely Blown Away by This Team of Photographers
I was so nervous hiring photographers based off of only online reviews, as I think the photography is one of the most important pieces of a wedding. Having a beautiful record of your wedding day is priceless. From the moment we met Luisa & Laura we knew we had made the right decision. They were professional, fun, patient, and unobtrusive in capturing every moment. It rained during our entire outdoor ceremony, and Luisa & Laura were able to capture our photos creating dreamlike images. On top of their incredible photography skills, they are both lovely people inside & out! We are so grateful to have had them at our wedding, and you won't regret hiring them for your dream Costa Rican wedding. -

Best experience and couldn't recommend enough
Choosing a photographer/videographer for our wedding can be difficult especially for a destination wedding. We wanted a photographer/videographer that would take candid photos and allow us to feel natural and comfortable! We talked to Luisa and knew instantly her and her team were the perfect match. During the wedding, they were professional and made us not worry about anything. They let us be ourselves and in the end the photos/videos perfectly captured all the important moments of the day. We can't express how grateful we are that we went with them over the resort photographers. They made it feel personal and the pictures/videos will be part of our lives forever. The ladies at Aquamarine Photography were exceptional. First, Luisa, who does most of the communication before the wedding was great. We had to change our venue a month before our wedding (yikes I know) and I was so worried my vendors wouldn't be able to make the change, but these ladies had no problem at all. Luisa set up a zoom meeting with me before the wedding and really listened to what I wanted. She also explained how everything works on their end and what their typical style is. It was refreshing to have such a collaborative conversation with her.
We had a very small wedding and we were only expecting two photographers to show up, but to our surprise three of them came! My guests and I felt like celebrities the whole time because there was always someone there to capture a genuine moment we were having. They also were nice enough to stay after their time had ended to take photos of us cutting our cake. They never once made us feel rushed or awkward either. I truly cannot say enough about their professionalism. BUT even more importantly, our photos are STUNNING. I truly cannot stop looking at them. They captured so many beautiful moments of my husband and I, as well as our family. If you are thinking of booking Aquamarine, DO IT!! -

The Best Photography + Videography Experience in Costa Rica
Aquamarine Photography did an amazing job for our wedding in Jaco, Costa Rica. We hired them for photography and videography and opted for their premium packages for both.
I could tell on the wedding day that the Aquamarine team was going to do an incredible job. They were prompt, energetic, fun, so professional, and really captured how joyous and ethereal the day was. The photos turned out incredibly, they are spectacular and the videos we received allowed us to transport back to that day 🥹❤️. It was incredibly special and emotional.
I had a really great time hearing about Luisa's story. Supporting local business owners like her and her team is important. Her and her team took us down to the beach and were so gracious to help me with my sandy covered wet dress (the pictures were worth it !! 😉❤️🙌)
I HIGHLY recommend Aquamarine for any and all of your special event photography and videography.

Aquamarine Photography!! Where do I start? They are absolutely amazing, professional, super flexible, and just overall talented and artistic!! The two ladies that showed up on our big day greeted us with big smiles and made our wedding day smooth sailing and such a wonderful and joyous experience.
Aquamarine Photography went ABOVE AND BEYOND on our wedding day, listened to our ideas and wants, were willing to come shoot a couple of hours extra later on in the evening, and were just such a pleasure to work with. And don't even get me started on the photos! The photos were jaw-dropping and gorgeous and I am so fortunate and thankful for Aquamarine- the angles they take, the emotions they capture, the coverage of guests and the decoration details, and photo editing style truly shows just how talented and experienced they are. They were super quick in sending us the gallery of photos and they included 500+ photos which were ALL stunning. There were too many good photos that I couldn't decide which to post on social media!
They are the best bang for your buck, and just as good, if not more talented, flexible, and professional compared to the other pricier wedding photographers located in Costa Rica. 10/10 RECOMMEND TO ANYONE LOOKING TO HAVE A DESTINATION WEDDING IN COSTA RICA. -

Very Professional and really pleased with the quality of our photos
We had Raquel and Paz as our photographers for our elopement wedding at the Tamarindo Diria. They were very professional, friendly and knew what poses would look good. We are so pleased with the resulting photos. As there were only going to be two of us at our wedding they quoted a very good price compared to other photographers and I would thoroughly recommend Aquamarine Photography. -

My groom & I eloped so not having family and friends there I knew the pictures had to be perfect to show everyone back home. And were they ever. Luisa with Aquamarine Photography and her team captured our day wonderfully.
There was a lot of back and forth communication leading up to the day and Luisa was always quick to respond. After “meeting” over a zoom call I knew any worries I had going into the day, at least the photography part was calmed. I had chosen the right team.
She arrived early to the resort to search out ideal locations for the perfect backdrops. Her team was very professional and friendly. Not a fan of having my picture taken but she made it feel very easy.
Luisa delivered the gallery of pictures as promised. I couldn’t believe how beautiful they turned out. We were fortunate to have one of the most gorgeous settings I could ever imagine and she captured every moment of it. The way she used the natural light, the shadows of the palms, the colors surrounding us…the only word that comes to me is magical.
We will treasure our photos always.

I’m still on cloud nine even one month later after my vow renewal in Costa Rica. I am BEYOND grateful that I found Aquamarine Photography while doing a google search for best affordable wedding photographers. They truly are the BEST!!! I looked at their portfolio online and fell in love with their photography style. I knew I wanted to capture the intimate organic moments without the “posing” and can I say Aquamarine Photography majorly delivered. This all women team surpassed my vision and really listened to me. That was super important to me. From the very first email interaction I had with Luisa, I knew I had found my photographer and videographer. She was super sweet, funny and answered all my questions. I automatically felt at ease with her and it made my decision to hire Aquamarine Photography a no brainer. No other photographer that I had corresponded with made me feel the peace that Luisa did ☺️
The fact that I was planning my 10 year vow renewal all the way from Florida can be stressful but Luisa made all the stress and fear go away. This team has a plethora of knowledge and knows Costa Rica very well.
They knew exactly which time of day was best for certain lighting effects and guided me on what to expect for weather as we all know us gals need to make sure our make-up looks good 😉 The icing on the cake was the fact that Aquamarine also offers videography. That is something that I told my husband that I had to have, as for our original wedding we didn’t get a video made. Aquamarine’s trailer videos captured my attention as they use up to date cinematography and they use a drone to capture certain footage. In my opinion anything captured with a drone just gives your video an extra magical touch 🤩 I told Luisa and her team that I wish I could pack them in my bag and take them back with me to Florida lol. Do yourself a favor and don’t even look for any other photographer in Costa Rica. Aquamarine is your one stop shop and they are PHENOMENAL!! Aquamarine made my vow renewal super special and I will be forever grateful to these ladies for giving me a memory that will last forever. -

Hugo and Luisa were AMAZING! We were able to zoom with Luisa and learn more about engagement photos (what is included, cost, how it works, communication, etc) before we booked. We had the most amazing experience during our engagement session with Hugo. He dynamically took the types of photos we were hoping for and gave us amazing suggestions for great photos we didn't even know we wanted. He was extremely professional and proficient and made it a ton of fun. We got the pictures back with a fast turnaround and they turned out better than we could have dreamed. Aquamarine photography was amazing! We could not have asked for a better experience. -

The perfect Choice for a special day
We weren’t sure. We couldn’t pick a photographer. Most photographers didn’t manage to convince us. Then suddenly we found Aquamarine Weddings, and we fell in love. We saw their work, their edits, but mostly we saw feelings and emotions being transmitted through every picture. And that’s what we wanted. We wanted to be able to show love and happiness we have had for 9 years through our pictures. Not overly posed, not fake, but real and special. They did it. They captured our special day in the best way possible, and we don’t regret it. We wouldn’t doubt to hire them again or recommend them for any special event. -

We found aquamarine photography through weddingwire and the whole process of booking with them, scheduling, and paying the deposit was extremely easy. They also even picked us up from our hotel and came up with amazing spots for our engagement pictures to be taken. The whole process was really seamless. During our engagement pictures they were also extremely professional and considerate of our needs. They also really seemed to enjoy taking pictures for us and would get really excited to find the perfect lighting and perfect timing with the natural environment. They got the pictures to us very quickly and gave us way more pictures than we expected, all really high quality. Definitely recommend! -

Truly great work!
Our wedding photos were everything we had hoped for and more. They were open to our ideas and they carried them through perfectly. We just have one problem, deciding which photos we want printed to display in our home. There are so many beautiful photos to choose from. We couldn't be happier! -
