Wedding Photography

I truly do not have enough good things to say about April. She and her husband made taking all of our photos not only fun but easy as well. I am someone who has always felt unphotogenic and I was worried about if I would like my wedding photos. I have never felt more beautiful - all of the photos turned out absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a photographer in the Fredericksburg area -you will not be disappointed. She is so kind, made the process extremely easy, and showed up on time/was very responsive. I am so glad I chose her to do my photography.

Wonderful, amazing,fantastic

April is the best!

I contacted April on a short notice about my wedding day. She was not only super responsive but made the process seamless. She arrived early to the wedding start time, was professional and captured amazing photos. She was kind, took good direction when organizing family shots and made me feel so comfortable. Looking through the unedited images I was amazed at how many were already so nice that didn’t even require editing. She has a true eye and talent with the camera. I cannot say enough great things about my experience and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

April Rose's artistry captures every precious moment!

April Rose has been our family photographer for about five years, and we have always been extremely happy with her photos. She is so kind, patient, sensitive, talented, and fun, all the qualities you would want to see in your photographer! With such touching and loving pictures, she captured my two daughters’ weddings (same day in 2018) in a small home ceremony in the presence of their father in his last days, pictures that we will treasure forever. Now, a year and a half later, my daughter, Allison, and her husband Jason celebrated their wedding at a lovely peaceful venue in Virginia Beach. With bittersweet emotions high amongst the family, April and her partner captured such tender moments, and exhilarating moments, between Allison and Jason. Words cannot describe the perfectly wonderful pictures that they took, as seen in the breath-taking first look images, which brought tears to my eyes. They seemed to instinctively know how to capture every precious moment before, during, and after the wedding ceremony and reception. Not yet a week later, April has the complete gallery of pictures ready to be delivered to Allison and Jason. We love April and her artistry for capturing the most precious moments to give us a lifetime of memories!

Couldnt ask for anyone better to photograph our wedding!

April and her partner were so awesome! They really took the time to capture our special day and they were so nice, patient, and professional. You can tell they truly love what they do which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. They were so much fun to work with and our pictures turned out amazing. I would highly recommend and we plan on using April for any future photography needs!

Awesome photographic team!!

April and Brian were absolutely amazing during the whole planning process and on our wedding day. They were both so professional and did such a great job! I was a little stressed and wasn’t sure what kind of pictures/poses or where I wanted the wedding party pictures to be taken and they both took over and made amazing suggestions. They also got pictures of every little detail on our wedding day. We got our pictures back faster then we expected and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. April Rose Photography is worth every penny!

Fun, easy going, and comfortable

Best Ever!

April and her husband were so awesome to work with. I can't recommend them enough. They were so fun and were totally cool with walking through muddy, wet grass to get awesome photos and video footage of us. They were also amazingly flexible with time. I messaged April about a week before my wedding saying I wanted a few hours of extra time and changing the timeline, she was fine with it! She was excellent working with my coordinator to make sure we stayed on our timeline the morning of but still got all of the amazing photos and footage that I wanted. She was creative and spontaneous and I know that's why our photos look so great. We will definitely be using them for all of our photos in the future! Thanks for making our day special!

Absolutely wonderful!

We are so happy with our experience with April Rose Photography! Everything from the beginning was simple and painless. On our wedding day, I was extremely stressed out because we had people running late, and the wedding started much later than I wanted. I was so stressed out that I forgot we had hired photographers lol! When I walked in and saw them already set up and working I was so happy! We were emailed pictures that exact same day, and they had captured EVERYTHING! We could not have made a better choice!

We booked April for our engagement photos and wedding...our wedding is still a month away but we love her! The engagement photos came out SO good, when I was really skeptical because I feel awkward in front of the camera. She told us poses, gave us encouragement, and was really fast with getting the pictures back to us. Also, she has responded to the many e-mails I have sent her within 24 hours, always (sometimes in half an hour) and she is very professional and kind. I know our wedding photos are going to be beautiful!

April and her assistant made an amazing team and exceeded the contractual expectations! Peruse her website and enjoy the great quality of her work. She and her assistant covered the bridal party at the hairdresser, the groomsmen getting ready, the church wedding ceremony, seaside post wedding photos at several sites and then the reception. We have to admit we were drawn to her in large part by the great prices she advertised. For $2300 in 2016, we received an unedited low resolution jpg of all of the photographs within 1 week of the wedding. Then she edited a minimum of 50 digital images per hour of photography service within 6 weeks of the wedding via USPS on a flash drive and also emailed them to us. We actually received more than 200 photos over that requirement! They took posed photos, tons of candids and over an hour of videos that were edited into a beautiful movie. We provided a list of shots we were hoping to capture and they delivered 100% of our wishes! We were granted unlimited but non-exclusive rights to use and print all edited and unedited photos provided. April was gracious, classy, timely and professional. Some reviews stated she was late in delivering her work, but this was in no way the case for us! Be sure to contact her for a quote.

April is EXCEPTIONAL! We had a very small/intimate wedding in Annapolis, and April work ethics and quality amazed us. She was the most affordable in the area as well. She did charge a small travel fee, but the package we received was still hundreds less than the competitors. She also did an amazing job on the photo edits! We had so many pictures to choose from. Thanks to her skillset, she made our day special and we have awesome pictures to share with family and friends for years to come! Thank you so much for making our day PERFECT!

April has done family photos for us now a few times, as wells as engagement photos. She has a very fast response time, is very knowledgeable about what she does. She has great ideas and works very well with children and dogs!! Our pictures turn out amazing. I have made the mistake of allowing someone else to take our photos and was very disappointed! I loved that a few days after the wedding she sent all of the over 4,000 proof photos! A few weeks later we received two photo books and all of the edited photos, which turned out perfect. April was a complete pleasure to work with and I knew when I met her that she was the photographer for me! April is a very warm and friendly person, she worked with me on Creating a package that I could afford, and she answered any and all emails that I frequently sent her. My wedding was August 16, 2013. Words can not express the words that we feel about April. From our very first consultation meetings, I knew she would be the person to photograph our wedding. April is professional, easy going, flexible and just a joy to be around. Her beautiful spirt shows thru her work. Our pictures were BEAUTIFUL. She caputred so many special moments of our day. April is amazing!!! My husband and I booked her for two different events. Our best friends got married in January 2013 and could not afford a photographer. As a wedding gift we were able to negotiate a very affordable price. My husband and I were recently married in October 2013 and April also covered our wedding. It was a very long distance for her to drive but she was on time and even stayed longer than we had booked her for. She consistently goes above and beyond for her clients. She also always seems to be able to capture the spirit of the people she is photographing. She was very easy to get in touch with and really just went above and beyond. I could not be happier with our wedding photos and plan on hiring her in the future for family and child photos when the time comes!!!

I am truly grateful for the opportunity of being able to work with such a down to earth spirit. Ms. Rose came on time dressed for the occasion with a smile. I found April through a web search. I checked out her website and was impressed with her photos. I reached out to her and from that point on she was so responsive, friendly, and super sweet! On the day of our wedding, she was there when she said she would be, despite having to drive quite a distance. She was extremely professional and took pictures the entire time...never did I see her just taking a minutes break! Her personality is down to earth and all she wanted to do was make our day perfect. I loved having her at my wedding...I would have loved for her to be one of my guests! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. You won't go wrong with her...she is there for you!

This is the third time working with April and she is such a sweet person who goes the extra mile for her photo shoots. She is so understanding and definitely willing to work with me every time. As far as poses she tries to get every pose you want and is honest when it doesn’t look good or the lighting is just not right. I love the fact that she loves natural photos, not the ones you pose for and smile at the camera. She is a great photographer to work with, delivering awesome results, hence why when I need photos done she is the first one I call.

Beautiful photos! April is incredibly talented. She was the photographer for my small wedding ceremony held at home in May. She had a lot of ideas for some very pretty couple shots outside, after the ceremony. Also, incredibly professional, punctual and friendly; a pleasure to work with!

April is a very easy going - fun - creative photographer to work with. She recently did our engagement photo shoot and not only did she listen to my ideas, and of course pinterest poses I had in mind, but also gave us wonderful ideas that I had not thought about. She made our photo shoot enjoyable and not at all uncomfortable - and the end result were wonderful photos - the only downside is that we have so many good photos we can't chose one for our save the dates :), I would definitely recommend April to anyone!

Professional Photographer with great skills

My husband and I were very pleased with our wedding day photos! Very nice quality and April’s work is better than the example photos taken at major resorts in the Caribbean. Very fair pricing! I would call April first! Highly recommend!!!

I found April Rose Photography through an internet search. We were only looking for photography of our wedding and after, not for our reception and her offering an hourly rate was helpful. There were a couple of communications glitches throughout the process but ultimately everything turned out great and we really appreciated the 1,300 unretouched pictures (and 200 retouched pictures) that we received. April had a lot of great ideas for shots and was also receptive to the ideas we had for special photographs as well. She also created a wonderful video of pictures that we love. If we had to do it again, we would select April Rose Photography again.

I started looking for a good photographer a couple of months before my wedding and had trouble deciding between David's Bridal and April Rose Photography. I decided to go with April Rose Photography due to the fact that she basically informed me that she would give me more for my money. She seemed very friendly and professional. I was promised 6 hours of service, copies of all edited and raw photos and a photo album. Well she did give me 6 hours of service and all edited and raw photos, but I never received a photo album. One of the main reasons I decided to go with her was because of the photo album. I got married on 8/26/2012 and it is four months later and I have not seen my photo album. I have contact her several times and she only contact me back once to inform me that she will get it to me. Well I still have not received it. I have several disc full of pictures, but if I do not have a photo album or a link where everyone can go and view them it is very difficult to share. I would love to show family members and friends my photos, but I only can do it if I bring all my disc and insert them in a computer. I am really disappointed because she appeared to be so friendly and reasonable. I really wish that I just went with David's Bridal where I would have paid less and would have got a little less, but eventually would have been able to purchase a beautiful hardcover photo album. I usually would not make a big fuss, but when it is your wedding that you have dreamed about your whole life and do not get what is promise to you it hurts.

I will say first that April was sweet and did drive a way to our ceremony for just an hour of service. She also was able to book our day with just a few weeks notice.

I was so excited to hire her since her online photos for her website were nice and she sold herself to me! My rating is so low because after five weeks of waiting the contractual time for my photos, I did not get what I paid for. In fact, I saw where April was busy working on new projects and also mentioned that she was busy when I tried to reach out to her regarding my wedding photos.

I paid for an hour of service which included travel time and a final edited dvd with my photos on it to be mailed to my home. Well at the end of the fifth week, I don't have my dvd and she did give me a link to see my photos after I had to keep contacting her about my photos.

The photos were not edited as promised. She took about 400 pioctures and I have many photos of the same shots with no editing. She did put a b&w filter on approximately 3 photos. Some of the photos were professional shots but most were just point and shoot. I myself have experience with photography and know what to expect. What she put for me to see online and claimed to be edited photos were raw photos that a photographer uses to edit and build a photo story with. In the end I understand that she did not complete my work and was off to do other business. She doesn't operate professionally on first come first serve.

I am heart broken to say the least and can't understand why anyone would run a business this way. I can't get our wedding day back. At most I will have to buy editing software and spruce my photos up myself. I wish I had selected another photographer. I would not recommend her because as you can see by her reviews, she is not consistent. I also blame myself for not doing more online research for reviews on her.
