The Best Officiant!

April did a great job officiating our wedding! Our ceremony was perfect and exactly as we envisioned.

During the planning phase, April first got to know us as a couple and how we pictured our ceremony. A couple months out from the wedding, she provided us with a draft of the ceremony and we had some back and forth revisions until it was perfect. She frequently reminded us that we had 100% veto rights and she would not say anything we didn’t want her to say.

At our ceremony April told our story, did a knot tying ritual that we requested, and kept the focus on us instead of her. Our guests both laughed and cried. Would highly recommend April to anyone getting married!

The A in April Should Be Amazing

This review is a bit late on my part but hopefully well worth the wait!

April Beer is a fantastic wedding officiant if what you're looking for is a completely customized and personal ceremony that will make anyone laugh, cry, or both. If you're looking for some basic, cookie-cutter officiant, then move along.

But if you're a couple who wants to have an experience, a true celebration of your union that also includes all of your loved ones and friends, then April Beer should be your go-to.

From the very beginning, she was super personable and fun - took the time to get to know us and made sure we were a good fit to work together. From there, we went back and forth so she could learn more about us and what we were looking for in a ceremony. She was an absolute delight throughout the whole process, and funny to boot.

(April also helped reign it in when needed during the practice run and day of - she was on point and a big help!)

April even asked if I wanted her to match the theme of the wedding (including nail polish, too. I didn't even know that was a thing? Also, what kind of bride dictates their wedding officiant's nails?!)

Our wedding ceremony was nothing short of awesome - it was funny and personal, filled with love, and a little bit of beer too. (Ayyyeee!) We couldn't have done it without her.

Thank you so much for making our day special and weird.

April was wonderful to work with. She really took the time to get to know us as a coupe as well as individuals and created a unique and heartfelt ceremony for us. All of our guests kept telling us how much they were touched by the ceremony and how unique and wonderful it was.

It could not have been better. April is totally professional with the added benefit of loving her job. We didn't know what we wanted, but she met with us several times and was very patient, holding our hands through the whole process. She had great suggestions, presented options, and kept us focused. The personal touches were great, and we received many compliments. Most importantly, it was perfect for us. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

April did a great job of incorporating our backgrounds into a very personal and warm ceremony. We wanted to respect both of our families' traditions but did not want it to be religious. April told our story with humor and incorporated a unity candle ceremony, ring ceremony, and presentation to my stepdaughter - all in under 30 minutes. We got a lot of compliments on how special it was!

So many of our guests remarked on the content of our ceremony - April did a fantastic job! She is very flexible in tailoring the ceremony to meet your preferences (religious versus secular, for example) to produce an experience that conveys the “vibe” you and your partner want on your big day. Highly recommend!

Words can not describe how amazing april is. My husband and I found april a month before our wedding ( due to a minor glitch with our previous officiant.) Immediatley after our ceremony we were brought to our bridal suite and our first words as husband and wife were , " wow, april did an amazing job." She was the best Decision we made. During our first phone call april was so calm and made us feel so comfortable. We met with her a couple days later and truly felt as if we had known her for years. I understand how big of a decision it is to choose an officiant, but I can assure you that she is the one.. look no further! April helped create our dream ceremony. She was able to incorporate both of our religions ( Jewish and catholic) along with personal stories that made the crowd laugh. the ceremony was truly amazing, everyone came up to us throughout cocktail hour, reception, and even days after to compliment april.

April Beer is the absolute best! I cannot begin to express how happy we were to have April as our officiant!

My husband and I got married in Morristown, New Jersey in September 2017, but we were planning the whole wedding from our home in Washington, DC which really complicated the whole process of wedding planning. I found April's website online, and I could tell from the first moment that she seemed like exactly what I was looking for. We got in touch via email and met via Skype. My husband and I loved April immediately; she made us feel so comfortable and she clearly is doing what she loves which meant a lot to us. April gave us some real homework to do so she could get acquainted with each of us as individuals and as a couple, asking about our lives and how we came together, what challenges we had overcome and milestones we celebrated. She advised us through the entire process, answering our questions and providing guidance without ever being overbearing or bossy. She was open to all our weirdness (of which there was a bunch!) and listened really carefully when we told her what we were hoping for from our ceremony. April made sure there were no surprises with the ceremony, giving us full control of the final product.

The day of the wedding was the first time we all met in person, and it felt like I knew her forever. She made me feel just as comfortable in person, running us through the rehearsal and making sure everyone knew what was going on. I cannot recommend working with April enough. She is one of a kind!

We found April right here on Wedding Wire. Her reviews are amazing and in person she’s all that, too. She’s fun, warm, friendly and an experienced professional. She worked hard and worked us (kindly) to develop our custom ceremony that combined our faiths, our families and made every one feel comfortable and engaged. Our guests laughed with us and cried with us, too. April gave us a memorable, loving and happy custom ceremony committing our lives to each other. April Beer officiated our wedding on 9/9/2017, and we could not have asked for a better ceremony. She struck a perfect balance of humor and romanticism. Tons of our guests told us that the ceremony was one of the most (if not THE most) beautiful and romantic ceremonies they had ever seen. The ceremony was very personalized, which we really appreciated over the cookie-cutter scripts we had seen from some other officiants who we spoke with before deciding on April. In retrospect, we would not have changed a single thing about the ceremony. I highly recommend booking her as your officiant. She is fantastic and she will make your ceremony beautiful and memorable.

April is the best! My husband Anthony and I couldn't be happier with the ceremony she performed for us on Aug 12th 2017 at the Brownstone in NJ. I initially spoke to April over the phone for a long while and after that I knew she was the one ;) ! She has great energy and truly loves what she does. April made us both feel so comfortable throughout the whole process and she is a wonderful speaker and writer. She really cares about her couples, is detail oriented and very responsive and reliable. She makes sure that the finished ceremony is exactly what you want. Our custom ceremony was perfect for us and we received a lot of compliments on it from family and guests. We didn't want a standard cookie cutter ceremony, we wanted something personal, sweet and also fun and she definitely delivered. Hire April, you will be so glad you did!

April was the officiant for our wedding earlier this month. When we started our search for an officiant, we weren't really sure what to expect. We were looking for someone who would create a ceremony that would be true to who we are are individually and as a couple, but who would also make our families happy. April did this and so much more. It's very rare that people compliment a ceremony as part of your wedding, but we had so many people tell us how heartfelt and sincere our ceremony was. We got married Memorial Day weekend. We planned our wedding from across the country. We knew we didn't want to get married in a church so it was important to us to find someone that would still deliver a lovely ceremony and not one that was done in 5 minutes. From the first moment we met April, we just clicked! She created the most personal and beautiful ceremony for us. It made me feel like she knew us forever. There were even special surprises from our "fan club" that she through in there to make it one of the best experiences we've ever had. We received tons of compliments during the course of the evening how great the ceremony was. If you are looking for someone to marry you, look no further. April Beer is the best!!!!

We were so fortunate to have April as the Celebrant for our wedding. April was incredibly thoughtful and thorough about the content of our ceremony. She was really about to capture the spirit of our relationship - this was done by being genuinely interested in learning about us and making sure all of the details were correct. She takes no liberties on her wording and always checked for our approval. As a couple who was somewhat unsure of what elements we wanted to have in our ceremony, we could not have been more thrilled that April was fully prepared with ideas and suggestions and explained her interpretation of the meaning of each piece. She really helped us craft the perfect ceremony; spirited, warm and loving. April was also able to walk us through the administrative pieces of getting the license, certificate, etc. Highly highly recommended!

Once I talked to April on the phone, I knew she would be our officiant or our "Rev of Love"! She totally put me at ease from the first phone call and just made me feel comfortable, which was such an important factor since, no pressure, she'd be the one marrying us! From the first phone call to the face-to-face meetings to the email communication, April was a joy to work with. She made the whole process easy and fun! In essence, April was the narrator of our marriage and wrote a beautiful love story that fit us so well. She gave us a warm, loving, fun and personalized ceremony which was exactly what we wanted! She writes the story based on your story and you have the ability to add, edit or change anything you'd like. Since we didn't write our own vows, she gave us so many examples and options of vows that worked beautifully. We could not have been happier with how everything turned out. We love you April!

April is such a special person and a wonderful officiant. We found her by chance on weddingwire but it was really meant to be! She totally "got us" and catered our ceremony exactly how we wanted it. We met with her in person and felt a connection and through the months were in touch on skype and email. She is always very responsive and provides all the answers to the millions of questions you may have. She incorporates anything you may want to include, no matter how non traditional or unusual. Besides being our officiant, April was a friend through some hard times leading up to the wedding. She is an ear to listen and a friend to give you guidance. The day of the wedding April kept everyone calm and organized. People were raving about how special and personal our ceremony was. They said it really was the best they have ever been to! April did a great job at our wedding!! Everyone loved our ceremony; our guests were all saying how beautiful it was! I think it is important to have a ceremony that fits the personality of the bride and the groom, and April delivered a ceremony that was spot on. April also helps guide you through applying for your marriage license and then obtaining the certified copy of it afterwards, as well as changing your last name if you wish, which is great because it is one less thing you have to worry about figuring out yourself. We are very happy we chose April to do our ceremony; we could not have asked for a better wedding officiant!

April was so great and we were lucky to book her for our wedding! I'm Jewish and my husband is Catholic and we wanted to incorporate traditions from both cultures into the ceremony without making it religious. Not only was April so open to this but she had provided us with a ton of suggestions on things we can do to personalize the ceremony. We also love that she gave us homework. Not only was it a great exercise for April to learn about us as a couple and incorporate it in the ceremony, but it was a lovely way to learn how my husband and I feel about each other that we don't always share. We also appreciated that we get to edit the final draft of the ceremony and we can adjust how we like. It was incredibly personal and for a bride and groom that isn't sappy, we both felt very emotional during the ceremony. I also loved that April encouraged us to write our own vows and I'm so happy we were talked into it! Great officiant!

I came across a video of April performing a wedding ceremony while looking through videos from a prospective videographer. I immediately fell in love with her and knew I had to find out her contact information. From our initial phone conversation, I knew that she was exactly what I was looking for. Our first initial meeting only solidified this. April was so responsive to any questions that I had and truly took the time to get to know my fiancé and I prior to the wedding. She emphasized how our wedding ceremony would be about us as a couple and our love story, which was so important to me. On the day of my wedding, after the ceremony, I had so many people come over to me and compliment me on the ceremony. They told me it was the most beautiful ceremony that they had ever seen and LOVED that it was so focused on us. Our wedding was one month ago and I wish I would go back and relive the ceremony again. It was truly the most amazing part of the entire day. April did a fantastic job.

A bonus, her husband took amazing pictures during the ceremony that she sent to me!

I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a truly memorable wedding ceremony customized to the couple themselves. My husband and I couldn't be happier.

I hope our paths cross one day with her again. She is a special human being.

Thank you to April Beer for a fantastic wedding ceremony that we will never forget! My wife and I are interfaith and we were looking for a non-religious ceremony that would still be meaningful and memorable. April worked with us closely to find just the right balance of meaning, sentimentality, humor, etc. for our ceremony. She really cared about getting the tone just right for us. What set her apart from others was her attitude that a wedding ceremony should be unique, personalized, creative, and engaging, rather than just going through the motions of formality. She took the time to meet with us for hours to learn about us as a couple (and as individuals), and I felt like she truly understood our story and what mattered to us. So when she tells "your story" at the ceremony, its more than just reciting words from a page. As far as logistics, we had no issues. April was always prompt, talked us through the marriage paperwork, ran us through a thorough rehearsal, provided us with sample readings and vows, etc. Again, wonderful ceremony and highly recommended.

My parents (Catholics) wanted a priest (my fiancé and I are not religious) and even they could not stop talking about what a beautiful ceremony it was! April was the icing on my wedding cake. She's so good, I would have her marry us twice. Let me start by saying, we are an offbeat couple- spiritual but not religious with a wicked sense of humor. Our vision of our ceremony was steeped with ritual, tradition and personal reflection. April was able to take all of our woo-woo notions and organize them into a meaningful, interesting and gorgeous ceremony. Her knowledge of tradition and ability to intemperate our wishes was wonderful. Every attention to detail on her part was evident and it was so fun filling out her questionnaires. It felt great to work with someone who was really interested in getting to know us as a couple and as individuals. All of our guests complemented our ceremony, it was so unique and so "us". April really helped to make our intimate wedding ceremony special. From our initial meeting and throughout the course of time leading up to our big day that we communicated with her, she asked a lot of questions and worked with us closely to create a memorable, deeply personal event that reflected our intended tone and spirit.

We had closely evaluated a number of officiants when planning our wedding, and April’s tasteful combination of warmth, wit, and humor – and of course her professionalism and organization – put us immediately at ease and left us with no regrets whatsoever. April really made our ceremony special. She told our story perfectly and really captured who we are as a couple. I had so many guests come up to me and say that this was the best ceremony they have ever been to because it wasn't boring. That was my main this for my ceremony, I didn't want it to be stuffy and the same old thing that everyone always has. April really made our ceremony unique and perfect. We love April!! We knew from the minute we met her, we wanted her to officiate our wedding ceremony. Her quality of service is wonderful. She really made the effort in getting to know us before hand and makes sure our vision is what she sees and performs. We loved our ceremony more than we did our reception. It was very intimate, funny, serious and loving, it was everything we were expecting and more! There was not a dry eye in the room. Our guests were blown away; we received so many great compliments on our heartfelt ceremony. April is incredibly patient and fun to work with. The entire experience from beginning to end was a breeze. She took care of filing our marriage license while we were on our honeymoon and emailed us to let us know where to pick it up. April performed the ceremony for our wedding and it exceeded our expectations on every level. We were looking for something non-denominational, fun, unique, and personal and we knew from the first time we met April that this is exactly what she would give us. When we started planning our wedding, we initially viewed the ceremony as a necessary step we had to get through so we could start the party. April helped us realize that the ceremony symbolizes the reason we are celebrating, and that a good ceremony sets the tone for the entire wedding. We discovered this was completely true after seeing how our guests responded. We were so happy to work with someone who appreciated the importance of getting it right and took the time to make it perfect. The effort that April made to get to know us and tell our story gave it a personal touch that brought both tears and laughter. She encouraged our personalities to shine through and made it a lot of fun in the process. We received so many compliments from our guests afterwards telling us it was the best ceremony they ever attended. Even our DJ who has been doing this for 20 years said it was very unique and brought a tear to his eye. We are so pleased we chose April to celebrate our special day with us and we could not have asked for a better ceremony. There are not enough kind words to describe the experience that my husband and I had by having Arpil officiate our ceremony on 12/31/14. I could not say enough amazing things about my wedding officiant April Beer. April was also the wedding officiant for my cousin in 2008 and at that moment, I knew I would be hiring her for my own wedding when the time came. And just like that, in 2013, I called April to ask her to officiate my wedding and it was the perfect relationship from the start. April was the officiant at our wedding on May 17th. When we met with April, we met for dinner and we got to tell her our story and some things about ourselves, and she told us things about herself, so we were all comfortable with each other quickly. April used our story for the ceremony and it could not have been a better ceremony. Our ceremony made a lot of grown men cry, a lot of them came to me and said they normally don't like to go to weddings but that my ceremony was beautiful. During the ceremony, April told our story of how we met and about our relationship leading up to our wedding and our guests told us they had never seen that before in a wedding, but that it was a great touch and that it was good because some of them didn't know how we met (parent's friends) and it made them feel closer to us. April makes sure the ceremony is unique and personal and when it comes down to final touches, you have the say in everything and she will change the ceremony according to what you want, which truly shows flexibility. April is very sweet and we enjoyed working with her very much. She answered all of our texts and emails promptly, which is always a good thing! She took care of filing the marriage license while we were on our honeymoon and emailed us to let us know where to pick it up, it was ready the day after we got back. I think having April as our officiant was worth every cent and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Thank you April!

April was referred to us by one of my friends who had used her as their Offciant. She was the first potential Officiant we met with and after meeting her, we knew we didn't need to meet with anyone else. She was so easy to work with and guided us through every step in the creation of our ceremony. Neither of us was very religious and didn't want that to play a big role in the ceremony and so April gave us many different options that we could use instead. Her big point was that it was our ceremony and we could have it any way we wanted. When we got the final draft we were excited since it was everything we wanted, however it was a million times better when April performed it in front of all of our friends and family on our big day. She was absolutely stellar in front of the crowd and all we kept hearing after the wedding was how amazing the ceremony was! People kept saying that it was one of the best, most original, personal and loving ceremonies they had ever been to and all of that can be attributed to April. She's funny and caring and so easy to talk to and get along with. She was the absolute perfect choice for us and we would recommend her to anyone else in a heartbeat.

My husband is nominally Catholic and I am nominally Jewish. We wanted a ceremony that respected both traditions, wasn't religious, and reflected our quirky personalities. April did a perfect job in capturing the spirit of our relationship and referencing our culture without making the ceremony at all religious. It was exactly the ceremony we wanted, even if we didn't know it until April put it together. Working with April was really easy, and speaking with her about why we were getting married provided some good reminders during occasionally contentious wedding planning! My husband and I really felt a connection with April. She took the time to get to know us and really made our ceremony special. My husband and I are not very religious (and not of the same faith) but still wanted some traditions represented, which April helped us define and use throughout the ceremony. Having a unique ceremony that described us a couple was important to us and April made that happen. The number of comments we received from our friends and family about our ceremony is too large to count. They all said that this was one of the nicest, most personal, and enjoyable wedding ceremonies they have ever been to. This is due in great part to our work with April. She was open and receptive to what we wanted in our ceremony, while still being able to provide us with suggestions that she thought we would like. She was great at interpreting our incoherent babble about what we wanted, and turned that into a beautiful ceremony. April married us during the freak snow storm in October. She was amazing. Her words were perfect and she told our story so beautifully. She is kind and patient and was perfect for us. April was an amazing celebrant. When my husband and I went to meet her for the first time we instantly felt as though we had known her our entire lives. She is sweet and caring, and willing to listen to every question and concern you might have. We were a bit nervous about our wedding ceremony since we came from two very different religions and wanted to stay away from a religious ceremony completely to keep everyone happy. She was so understanding and extremely helpful. She gave us ideas on how to incorporate our different family backgrounds into a wedding that was exactly "US". Not only was she a great celebrant, but she was a great friend and counselor. She walked me through everything and calmed my fears about the wedding day chaos. She took the time to get to know both of us and find out what our relationship was about and what we really wanted our wedding ceremony to look like. One the day of the wedding she was the commander and she made sure everyone was ready and knew what was expected of them. I loved her for taking the lead and organizing everyone since we were all over the place. The wedding was amazing. We laughed, cried, and loved. Our guests loved the unique and sweet way she was able to capture our long time relationship. Because of her we were able to give our guests a glimpse at our 9 year walk to aisle. At the end of the day it wasn't just a typical wedding ceremony. It was ours and ours alone. People loved how intimate and loving the ceremony was. April really cares for each and everyone of her couples. She mothers you through the process. I can honestly say that when you are up in front of everyone on wedding day and nervous she is a great person to have in front of you. I love her for making our wedding day everything I dreamed it could be and more!

Having April as our Officiant for our Civil Union this past September was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. She was AMAZING from the moment Andrew & I met her last winter!!! She took the time to get to know us as a couple and was so personable. She was funny and really connected with both of us from the start! A few years ago, I attended my sister's best friend's wedding. Her friend is Jewish and she married a Christian man. Typically I never pay attention during the ceremony because I find it boring. However, April caught my attention at this wedding and I found myself listening and was intrigued throughout the whole ceremony. Although I was single at the time, I told myself that I want April to marry me one day because it was the most beautiful and amazing ceremony I have ever attended. Well, a few years later, I met the love of my life who happened to be Catholic (I am Jewish). I mentioned April to him and he agreed to meet with her. We set up an appointment and hired her on the spot! At the rehearsal, friends and family could not say enough nice things regarding April. They kept saying how great she was and knew she was the perfect choice. They also were so pleased with how warm and friendly she was with everyone. Even my dad who wanted a rabbi to marry me told me that since I married out of the religion I could not have found a more perfect person to marry me and that he was beyond pleased with our choice. April did an amazing job at our ceremony and so many guests raved about her. They kept saying how beautiful the ceremony was and how it was so different and unique from any ceremony they have been to...additionally, she did a fantastic job telling our love story and really captured our love for one another. One of my best friends who was a bridesmaid in my wedding is having April marry her next year and my sister who is hopefully getting engaged soon also mentioned that she would love if April could marry her as well. I know all the reviews here seem to say the same thing but April truly is AMAZING! She married my husband and I on July 2, 2011 in NJ. The ceremony remains my absolute favorite part of the wedding day. From our first meeting, to all the follow up meetings, phone calls, the wedding rehearsal up until the wedding day, April was a pure JOY to work with. She was always so professional and kind and over time felt more like a friend than a vendor. I like to refer to her as a friendor. She worked with us to craft a ceremony that was funny, touching and a reflection of our personalities and our family in every way. Our guest have raved on and on about the ceremony saying it was one of the best they have ever heard and I agree with them 100%! When I looked at the recording of our ceremony I am once again soothed by April's calming voice and brought to laughter and tears by her words. April is amazing! I can’t imagine how wonderful it must be to marry people for a living. We got married June 5th, 2011 in NJ and our wedding day was full of love and excitement. Having April officiate our civil union and tell our love story to all of our family and friends made our day so special and personal. She takes her time with every couple by meeting with them and talking about what kind of wedding they would like. So many of our guests keep saying how it was the most beautiful ceremony they have ever been to. We believe it is because of April and her wonderful and joyful presence. April was an absolute pleasure to work with from the first phone call to after the wedding. She gave us a beautiful ceremony that everyone felt was personal and kept their attention. She was always quick at responding and gave us so much helpful information we would have been lost without.

She was also very helpful with getting our marriage license, reminding us when to do it and providing instructions.

From the moment we met April, we had felt that immediate connection. My husband, Andrew, and I wanted someone who could incorporate all the weird things that we loved (Star Trek and Lost being among them!) and April was up to the task. She brought me to tears in Starbucks. She created the custom ceremony for us, embraced the fact that we didn't want any sort of religious ceremony, and made everyone feel welcomed and loved. We totally dug the handfasting ritual, as my family is quite Pagan and Celtic. She even backed out of the way when we had the picture taken of our first kiss (a lot of people commented on how great that was, so you don't awkwardly get the pastor or officiant standing awkwardly in the background in the photos!)

If you want a ceremony that is uniquely you as a couple, with bits of humor and sentimentality thrown in, I'd go with April. I know my stepbrother has already approached her to do his upcoming wedding!

April was an amazing officiant! We received so many compliments after our wedding of how personal it was and how great it was to hear "our story" and how our relationship began. I think our guests got to know more about us from the ceremony she put together.

She is able to incorporate anything you want in your ceremony and everything we chose she did flawlessly.

April is very easy to get a hold of. Anytime we had a question we would call and/or email and we get a response right away.

She was really fantastic to work with!!

April gets to know her couples as individuals and as a couple. My husband and I met her once and knew we didn't have to look any further. April was the first and only officiant we met with. She was absolutely wonderful in every way. Her upbeat and easy going personality helped to make us feel like we had known her all our lives. She took the time to get to know us individually and to learn the story of our relationship. She was incredibly responsive by both phone and email, highly organized, had great planning skills, and provided us with all the necessary information in the planning of our ceremony (including sample vows, potential readings, legal documentation, etc). All things combined helped to make our ceremony perfect. Throughout the planning of our special day, April became more than just an officiant to us. She is an important and cherished member of our wedding party. We just adore her and wholeheartedly recommend using April as your officiant, you will not regret it!

I don't even know where to begin. I guess the wedding ceremony would be the best place. The only way I can describe it is unbelievably personal, unique, and a direct reflection of my hubbie and I. April was, from the very get go, warm, helpful, considerate and genuine. Through our feedback, she created a ceremony that was 100% reflective of my and my hubbie's past, present and hopes for the future. Everyone at the wedding remarked on how unique and personal, and of course, how lovely the ceremony was. If I had to do it over again, and could pick only one aspect of this wedding, that I could keep, it would be the ceremony and April Beer!!!

April is the best! From the moment we met April she made us comfortable and we completely trusted her - we immediately booked her on the spot. She also provided us with lots of great information whenever we needed something along the way. She made it easy for us to have a very special ceremony that was completely personalized to us and our story from start to finish. She included everything we wanted like funny stories, special mention for my parents who passed away, friends who were part of our courting, traditions from our nationalities, etc. - it was truly unique and memorable! We have received so many complements and are still receiving phone calls from friends and family saying it was the best ceremony they ever witnessed - we laughed, we cried and everyone is still talking about it! The ceremony was definitely the highlight of our wedding. We highly recommend April!

From the first time we met April we knew that she was the perfect person to marry us, she was always fun funny and professional to work with. April was able to take our idea of the perfect ceremony and create one that surpassed our expectations. People laughed, cried, and most importantly people felt loved. We were lucky to have an amazing day on the beach and April dressed very appropriate for a casual wedding, she even went bare foot with the rest of us. Our wedding party was a little rowdy and 16 plus us i am sure we were allot to handle but April was very good about keeping everyone focused during the pre ceremony madness. While April was writing our ceremony she was going through some hard times and had allot on her plate in her personal life, she always emailed us and updated her status with the ceremony. In the end I think the ceremony was three days late and even though we didn’t care about it due to her personal reasons she still insisted on charging us less. We would highly recommend April, she wasn’t the cheapest and she wasn’t the most expensive and we continue to get complements on the ceremony, many saying it was the best they have ever heard.

April was amazing in every facet of her job. From the outset, she made it clear that she would create/perform a ceremony that would really be custom tailored to us as a couple, and she was able to capture "our story" and translate that to all of our family and friends in a ceremony that blew everyone away. She was always there for any questions/concerns during the planning process, and was always flexible with any changes that we wanted to make or meetings that we had to schedule. She couldn't have been more helpful with the development of the ceremony and the license/name change process and was always there to support us.

I have to say that all of our guests have never been to a wedding service outside of a religious venue and were not too sure what to expect. They loved the idea that April took time to know us and was able to take that knowledge and create our own fairy tale. If you want something different then your plan old wedding- this is the wat to go!

April did an amazing job at my wedding ceremony on 3/26. The first time I read the draft of the ceremony I was in tears. She really put in effort in making sure our ceremony really reflected the love me and my husband shared. The day of the ceremony I was so emotional listening to Apil read the ceremony, it was so beautfiul. The ceremony was funny and heartfelt. We found April through Celebrant USA and right off the bat she was a perfect match. She was very responsive via both email and phone. At our first meeting April shared with us what her service covered and outlined the process. She is really easy to work with and very good at explaining everything and answering our questions. She really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted from our wedding ceremony. She did not have a set adgenda, which was really important to us. A few days before the wedding we met with her to do a quick run through of our ceremony because we were not having a rehearsal. The day of she was on time and worked with our large bridal party (which included 3 children) with ease. Overall I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a non-religious ceremony!
