  Extremely talented and wonderful person !

  Colleen was absolutely fantastic ! She is very talented and knew exactly what we wanted when she was shown a photo and was able to execute it so easily. In addition, I love her personality and vibe. It made for a nice calming presence on our wedding day. Highly recommend !

  Aphrodite Salon.. where to begin?! Colleen and her team are so incredibly talented! I am talking *WOW* with not only her bride's looks, but the entire wedding party. Aphrodite Salon and I have worked on a handful of weddings now and I have never seen styles like her and her team craft. They go above and beyond with their client's vision to reality and we've worked with them enough to confidently say, YOU WANT.. YOU NEED Aphrodite on your vendor team and in your life. Her styles are simply gorgeous, that effortless whimsy look, yet stay ALL day long hold. From windy coastal ceremonies, to hot july days, to full weddings ON A BOAT in the middle of Casco Bay- Aphrodite works with you to take your idea and BLOW it out of the park.
  
  I had the pleasure of sitting in Colleen's chair this summer and my hair has never looked better. I came in for a blonding appointment and cut. I have naturally wavy hair and my method of glam and blow drying is rolling the window down and letting the wind do it's thing so I rely on a good cut and color that can grow out and keep some texture. Colleen NAILED exactly what I wanted and I have never had so many compliments on my hair (real talk). I am so excited to to keep going back to Aphrodite! Thank you so much Colleen!

  Just the Best

  Colleen was absolutely amazing and made the whole process of hair styling for my wedding, during a pandemic, a dream. She was super easy to work with and talk to in the planning phase, and I really appreciated how straight forward and careful she was with her COVID precautions. On top of everything, she is truly an artist and my hair as well as all of the women in my wedding party had gorgeous hair on the day of. She let me try both an up and a down style so I had options depending on the weather which made me feel so much better. In addition, she is just a lovely person and it is such a treat to be sitting in her chair. My hair barely moved the entire night, through dancing and humidity, but didn't feel stiff or stuffy. I just don't have enough positive to say about her. You will not be disappointed trusting your hair to Colleen!

  Perfection

  Wow wow wow. I feel so lucky to have found Colleen and the Aphrodite salon team for my wedding. To start - her artistry is incredible! My wedding updo was perfection, she is the master at finding the balance between polished and romantic hair. I am also a hard-core dancer and my hair did not budge! She colored my (blonde) hair twice before the wedding and to say it looked good is an understatement - it was GORGEOUS. Next - she is an incredible person! I would like to hang out with her all the time; she is kind, funny, and a mini-therapist, what more do you need on your wedding day?! Lastly - she was very flexible with the schedule when last minute changes needed to be made. I truly cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Colleen - book her!

  Nicole is a HAIR GOD - Hire Her Now!

  I’m on of those people who has never had good hair luck... my hair always fell flat and looked terrible when I would get it do - whether for prom, homecoming, or friend’s weddings. Cue my own wedding - I was nervous to say the least. I had a vision of a simple, elegant updo, something classic and soft, but that would last through humidity and dancing. Now, cue Nicole.
  
  At my trial, Nicole whipped out a near-perfect up-do in about 30 minutes... I thought, “Could this be real!? Was this really so simple!?” And Nicole said “oh, it will look WAY better on the day of.” And she was right. In no time at all, Nicole crafted the PERFECT, simple, low bun. It had a little texture and a little shine and ALL of the hold. My hair looked exactly the same from noon to midnight. Perfect.
  
  If you’re looking for a wedding stylist, look no further. Nicole’s services are fairly priced and her delivery is exceptional. She’s clearly knowledgeable and experienced, and bonus: she’s super friendly, so no awkward ‘in the chair’ moments. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend.

  Perfection

  What can I say, Colleen is magic. I have always been self conscious about my hair and it has never been easy to work with, not to mention put in an updo that will hold out on a windy boat. Colleen was patient, a good listener, and created the most perfect updo for my wedding. It made me want to have a reason to get my hair styled on a regular basis.
  I wouldn't recommend looking anywhere but with her for your wedding hair!

  Look no further for amazing wedding hair!

  Colleen is absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough good things about her. She made all my hair dreams come true. She is extremely responsive and was always there when I had questions. The day of the wedding, Nicole and Colleen were unbelievable. Not only did my hair look amazing, but all of my bridesmaids and my mother and mother in law too! The styles they create are absolutely stunning and everyone was so happy with how they looked! I can’t recommend Colleen enough- you absolutely want her for your wedding!

  Maine's Best!!

  Colleen is beyond amazing! She not only did an outstanding job for my wedding/bridal party, she also was able to squeeze me in for a cut and color prior to the big day and my hair looked the best it ever has. She is professional, experienced, extremely talented and above all a pleasure to work with and be around. Could not recommend her enough!

  I had a few ideas at the trial and Colleen instantly understood what vibe I was looking for. She came up with something that was even more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed up on my own. She really understands hair and what styles would look best from all different textures and colors.
  
  On the wedding day, Colleen was such a nice calming addition to the bridal suite. Every one of the girls looked absolutely amazing and each style seemed to really compliment each individual personality.

  Colleen seriously is a hair goddess!! I am so lucky to have worked with her for my wedding day and I cannot say enough positive things about her and her team. Colleen was professional, timely, and always easy to communicate with. She made me feel like we had been friends for years when we first met! Her whimsical and romantic hair styles are just so beautiful!! Colleen listened to exactly what I wanted (even when I switched it up on her the day of the wedding!) and offered thoughtful ideas/suggestions on how best to achieve the look I was going for. Her experience and knowledge is evident and she knew how to work with all varieties of hair types and personalities!   I absolutely loved working with Aphrodite Salon for my wedding! From booking, to the trial, to the actual day of the wedding, Colleen was extremely responsive, professional and chill throughout the whole process. I planned my wedding out of state and was nervous about making the trip up to Maine for my trial without a clear hair vision in mind - Colleen allayed my anxiety by making helpful suggestions and being so knowledgable about hair, different hair styles, and wedding vibes in general, and we ultimately came up with a style that I loved and looked great in photos. She is extremely down to earth and easy to talk to, so I never felt awkward or afraid to give her feedback or ask questions. On the day of the wedding, Colleen and her second stylist Nicole kept the flow of nine ladies with very different types of hair on schedule and on time. You end up spending a lot of your wedding day with your hair and makeup team, and Colleen and Nicole are exactly the type of folks you want to be hanging out with. Most importantly, everyone's hair looked fabulous and we all felt gorg and happy. Can't recommend Aprhrodite enough!

  Colleen is a phenomenal hair stylist and I am so appreciative of the work she did for me and my four bridesmaids on my wedding day in May. Living in Boston while planning a wedding in Maine made my schedule a little tough, but Colleen was so wonderful and accommodating. I did not have a strong idea about how I wanted my hair styled on my wedding day, but Colleen was unfazed by my indecisiveness proposed beautiful options during my hair trial. Sitting for the wedding trial was just like hanging out while your coolest friend does your hair. On my wedding day, I was grateful for Colleen's calming presence amid the chaos of everyone getting ready in a cramped hotel room.   Love Aphrodite Salon!

  I was so fortunate to have Colleen from Aphrodite Salon as my hair stylist for my wedding day! Colleen and her assistant Nicole had their hands full with my wedding party, as there were many different hair types and lengths. But everything turned out perfectly! When I went in for my trial, I only showed a couple of pictures and she was able to create the perfect look! My mother actually did two trials because she was a bit undecided. Colleen listened and helped her find exactly what she wanted! Also, each bridesmaid chose a different style updo and they all looked amazing!! Colleen is attentive, professional and creative! She is truly the best and I would definitely recommend Aphrodite Salon for your wedding day!

  Beautiful wedding hair styling!

  Colleen was so great to work with on my wedding hairstyle. She understood exactly what I was looking for, and her execution was beautiful, both for my hair and the others in my wedding party. She also had a great calming presence on a stressful day that I really appreciated! Colleen also did my hair in a completely different way for my sister's wedding, and it looked just as great, showing how versatile she is. I would go back to have her style my hair in heartbeat!

  Colleen was so great to work with on my wedding hairstyle. She understood exactly what I was looking for, and her execution was beautiful, both for my hair and the others in my wedding party. She also had a great calming presence on a stressful day that I really appreciated! Colleen also did my hair in a completely different way for my sister's wedding, and it looked just as great, showing how versatile she is. I would go back to have her style my hair in heartbeat!

  I found Colleen/Aphrodite Salon in the dark hole of Instagram wedding planning, and immediately knew I wanted her and her team to be part of our day. All of her styling captured my vision perfectly - elegant, but a little relaxed - so, so beautiful!!
  From my first outreach, which was nearly a year in advance of my wedding, through our wedding day, Colleen was so communicative and helpful - she really went above and beyond.
  Going into my trial I was a little all over the place (do I want it up? do I want it down?), so gave her free reign after telling her a little about our wedding. We were able to try out three options that day (so helpful in making a decision!) and settled on one. She took great pictures so I could look back on the styling leading up to our wedding, and also had stunning hair pieces to try.
  On our wedding day, Colleen and Nicole were incredible. Amongst the bridesmaids and moms we had a lot of different hair types, hair styles and expectations - and Colleen and Nicole NAILED it. My hair looked incredible AND stood up through a windy, rainy Spring day. It was perfect.
  I could not recommend Colleen more - she exceeded expectations. Not only does she run a great business and is clearly VERY talented, but she's also a wonderful person - so kind, easy-going, fun - and that's someone you want to be around on your wedding day. Thank you, Colleen!!

  Colleen was absolutely incredible and extremely talented; I made the best choice hiring her and her team for our wedding! She was always very prompt and professional during our communication. I had a blast during my trial, and we came up with two fantastic looks! She knew exactly the look I was going for, even though I struggled with the description (something bohemian, beachy, chic, BHLDN... she knew just what to do!) She and her team traveled to my hotel for the wedding day, which helped ease the stress of the morning! They were professional, fun, efficient with my large wedding party, patient, and perfected many different looks on my bridal party. My bridal hair looked absolutely stunning. People are still specifically complimenting my up-do. Colleen and Aphrodite Salon were integral to my wedding day, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!
