Amazing, First Class Experience!!

What can I say about Anne Gregory Couture?! This place is first class in every way. From our initial dress shopping appointment to final alterations, we had the very best experience. They make you feel special and personalize the whole experience for you. Nina, Greg, and Kristin are true professionals and exude confidence in everything they do. I did not have to stress at all about my dress during wedding planning because they had everything completely covered. I thought it would be difficult for me to find a dress that I liked but their expertise in sensing what I was looking for and making suggestions had me trying on “the one” just three dresses into our appointment, and Greg and Nina made everything so much fun. They have a great eye for each bride and the types of dresses that will fit their style the best. Kristin’s alterations tied everything together at the end, and by my wedding day, I felt like a princess! Amazing experience, special place. Highly recommend giving them a visit when you are looking for your wedding dress! You won’t be disappointed.

They found me the perfect dress!

I’m a little late on my review but just looking at wedding photos and thought I should review AGFTB. The experience here is so different and rewarding! Greg has such an eye for what brides will look best IBX

Greg was amazing from the second I walked in. We chatted for a minute about what I wanted and he went into the back and pulled 3-4 dresses. The first dress he was excited about was nothing like what I saw myself wearing and I almost said I didn’t even want to try it on. However, my sister in law, who also got her dress here, a few years ago, said “you can’t say no, you just have to try them on. The one I ended up with was pulled by Greg and was totally different from what I was thinking.” So, I tried it on and they were both right. I fell in love. I tried the others on that he pulled but the first one was it! He then found me the perfect veil as well. We live in Philly and my mom says when my sister gets engaged that we will have to come back here for her as well!

My experience with alterations was just as wonderful. I felt more and more beautiful in the dress each time I came for a fitting.

Top Notch Experience

I can't say enough amazing things about Anne Gregory. Everything about my experience was absolutely perfect. I was living in Florida at the time and I’m from the Pittsburgh area and I was getting married in Pittsburgh. I wanted to go dress shopping with my mom, my future mother in law, and my aunts when I was coming home one weekend. I was searching for the perfect wedding gown and Anne Gregory was the first and only bridal salon that I visited. I had let them know what I was looking for before my appointment and when I got there, they had a selection of dresses ready for me. I had tried on 5 dresses and really liked the 1st dress that I had tried on the best. Greg, then said he had the perfect dress in mind. He went back and pulled it for me and I put it on and the rest was history. I got that “this is it” feeling and when I walked out there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I had fallen in love with the most gorgeous dress. Then Michele grabbed a veil that complimented the dress perfectly. I looked incredible on my wedding day and felt like a princess - and it was all thanks to the wonderful Anne Gregory staff! Every staff member was so helpful, attentive, and such a joy to be around – and all provided excellent customer service. My mom and I really enjoyed every trip to the salon. We cannot say enough great things about Greg and his staff. At Anne Gregory, you’ll receive top notch experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding dress or formal gown. I’m excited and looking forward to seeing them in their new location!

Helped me find my perfect dress

I can’t say enough about my experience here. I came in thinking I wanted something totally different than what I actually chose. They helped nail the image I was going for and pick the perfect dress for my wedding. Every visit - even the fitting - went smoothly and was effortless. Still in love with my wedding dress today.

Hands down the best dress shop!! Let alone all the fabulous gowns to pick from, the service is beyond amazing! Greg and his team were absolutely wonderful! I ended up getting a gown I never would of thought to try on. Greg found the perfect dress and veil for me and I can't thank him enough for going the extra mile to make me feel absolutely beautiful on my big day. My mom also got her dress for the wedding here too and she looked stunning! We truly enjoyed each appointment we had because Greg and his team were so good to us. I highly recommend Anne Gregory to everyone! I'm so happy that I got to share such special memories here with my mom throughout the wedding process, it means the world to me.

I can't say enough amazing things about Anne Gregory. Every appointment was easy and fun, and every single staff member I came across was so friendly and helpful. This was the 3rd bridal salon I visited while I was searching for my wedding gown and they were easily the best experience I had. I didn't have a lot of ideas of what I was looking for, I just knew what shape I wanted, and our consultant was able to pull so many amazing dresses just based on my very vague ideas and I ended up loving a lot of them! The best part was they chose things that I loved that I would have never chosen off the rack on my own...they have unbelievable knowledge and experience to help guide you through the endless choices! My appointment was actually so much fun instead of overwhelming and stressful! At the end of my initial appointment, I was stuck between two dresses, and went back a few weeks later with my decision made, only to find out my dream gown by Rosa Clara had been discontinued by the designer!! The staff tried to locate a smaller size at another salon, and showed me a few other Rosa Clara gowns in a similar style, but ultimately, the in house seamstress said she could take the salon's sample down from a size 12 to my size 0. I was able to purchase the sample from the salon, and their amazing seamstresses got right to work, and after over 9 months of cutting and sewing and detailing any loose threads and beads, they fitted that dress to me so perfectly it was like it was made just for me. I looked incredible! And it was all thanks to the wonderful Anne Gregory staff!! I cannot recommend them more highly...they are kind, helpful, supportive, and provide excellent service!!!

Greg and his team were wonderful as I came in a few months before my wedding looking for a new dress (I changed my mind).
They were able to find me one in the sale room within my budget. They also accommodated my timeline with alterations.

Anne Gregory is an absolute gem to visit in Pittsburgh! We expected to just have a fun first day of wedding dress shopping, and then go to Chicago and NYC. Well we were immediately impressed. We worked with Greg, who immediately sensed my daughter's sense of style and brought many choices which flattered her body type. Customer service was great; we were never rushed, had our own room, and did lots of laughing. Very professional bridal salon with quality dresses. My daughter even came back for an additional confirmation/trying on dress again to confirm this was the right dress- after she had ordered- this was no problem at all! Also we did not even think about the convenience of purchasing in Pittsburgh; our questions, several fittings, all the extras were an easy drive and we were always more than welcomed...never rushed. Her dress was beautiful and unique; very special indeed! Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved my experience at Anne Gregory in Pittsburgh, Pa. They were the first and only place I went to buy my wedding gown. My mom, sister, and myself were taken into a very large and accommodating back room that was completely private. This helped me feel more comfortable for my appointment and it really made the appointment all about me. The woman and owner really listened to what my vision was and brought me every gown they had in my budget. They were so friendly and incredibly helpful. She did everything I asked her to so I could explore all my options with a gown and accessories. I enjoyed my visit here and bridal shopping was completely stress free. I would absolutely recommend them to any bride!

I ventured into Anne Gregory to look for a wedding dress during a sample sale. The staff was extremely helpful and they helped me find the dress of my dreams...at an INCREDIBLE price! My experience working with Anne Gregory was phenomenal from the second I walked into the shop. Not only do they have stunning gowns and a great selection but the store itself is beautifully decorated. Greg and Marianne are true professionals and really know how to help each bride find a dress that fits her unique style and body type. I also purchased my belt and gown from Anne Gregory as well. When all was said and done I was absolutely in love with my dress and more importantly so was my husband. I have received so many compliments about how gorgeous the detail on my Eugenia lace gown was. If you are looking for something truly special and not the typical cookie cutter gown Anne Gregory is the only place to go in Pittsburgh!

I went to pretty much every bridal store in Pgh, and purchased a dress at David's Bridal because I honestly gave up! I thought Anne Gregory was too expensive for me to even try. After being persuaded by my sister to just go because I was so unhappy, we made an appointment. Not only did they stick to my budget price of $2,000, I had the whole team helping me find my PERFECT dress. Greg is so amazing and hilarious! Everyone is honest with you and truly trying to find you the dream dress. It is like being in a fairy tale as you try on these gorgeous dresses in the perfect atmosphere.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ANY BRIDE! It really makes the whole experience special to enjoy finding and purchasing your wedding dress! So thankful for them!

The dress that I fell in love with was by a designer that I could only find at Anne Gregory, but I am certainly glad that this was the bridal shop that I ended up at. From the initial fitting to the final alterations, every part of my experience was great. The staff was courteous and so friendly from day one. My dress was beautiful, yet comfortable and I received so many complements. I even had an opportunity to meet my designer in person. I was extremely satisfied and would highly recommend Anne Gregory to any bride.

I adore this bridal salon and it's fabulous owners! Gregory and Mary Anne helped me to find my dream dress, beautiful veil, and my mothers stunning gown. This salon is truly an upscale but approachable salon. Greg and all the employees really cared about the right look for me and my body type. I talked with them first about the image I wanted and style of my wedding and they pulled dresses accordingly. I found my dress on the 3rd one. I was dreading wedding dress shopping but they made it the fairy tale every girl dreams of. My dress was designed by a local designer and made in PA so it was very gratifying to keep the business local. I think that says something about the salon as well and that they promote local designers. The designer added sleeves to my gown and she faxed a sketch to the shop so I could see. So now I forever have the designer sketched version of my gown. Also nice about the salon is that the appointments are private and spaced appropriately unlike many other shops that it's like herding cattle. Overall they have a range of styles for you to look at and they really care about your look. Also you do not have to be a size 6 to have a beautiful wedding gown and experience at their salon.

Gregory and Anne were a tremendous help to my mother and I from the first day we set foot in there shop a year before my wedding this past weekend. They delivered top notch customer service and found the dress of my dreams on the first day! My mom also purchased her mother of the bride dress from their shop (which was exquisite!) and they were helpful and patient with her as well. We never felt rushed or unappreciated, which sometimes happens at other bridal shops more concerned with quantity over quality. While my dress was a little more than I was expecting to pay, it was certainly worth it for the quality and the attention I received throughout the year. Thank you Anne and Gregory!

I had the BEST experience at Anne Gregory. Greg is a true professional. He listens so well and treats every bride as if they are a millionaire. He is not pushy and pulls things that look truly stunning. He has impeccable taste and a sensational staff. The selection is perfect. There is a wide range of styles at every price point and he only buys the best. The store itself is in pristine condition and makes you feel like you are in Elizabethan England- such a nice change compared to most bridal "boutiques." Anne Gregory made my wedding day perfect!

I travel around the United States for work and have visited a handful of bridal salons.I was looking for a specific designer dress and located the gown at Anne Gregoryin Pittsburgh. The salon was breathtaking and elegant, the exact envirorment I had envisioned shopping in. Anne Gregory is PERFECT salon to go to if you want a memorable, personalized bridal experience.

The staff, including the owners, made finding a wedding dress the most fun, relaxing experience I could have ever asked for. They were able to find my dream dress on the FIRST TRY! Months after I initially purchased my dress, I called back to the salon and the owner remembered me, my family, and the dress I chose.

They have a very large selection of dresses, and they were able to stay within my budget. We never once felt pressured to spend more money or choose something we were uncomfortable with.

I'd recommend this salon to anyone in search of a high-quality dress and a personalized experience. That's what it was...an experience, not just an appointment.

I loved my dress and the price. They looked at my shape and put me in what I think was the perfect dress for me. They have gorgeous dresses from 800 and up up up. My dress was very inexpensive but very elegant. The staff were wonderful very helpful.

I purchased my dress at Anne Gregory for the Bride, and would definitely recommend them! I originally scheduled an appointment at this shop, because I had my eye on several Watter's dresses, and Anne Gregory was the only shop locally that carried this line. They had almost all of the dresses that I wanted to try on in stock, so I felt confident in my dress choice. The store offers a discount if you purchase a dress on your first visit, which is great if your dress is pricey (like mine was!). The consultants at this shop are very pleasant and professional; I never had an issue scheduling a fitting for a day and time that worked with my schedule. My mother (who came to several fittings with me) was so happy with the service we received concerning my dress that she decided to buy her dress from Anne Gregory as well. The consultants even helped her decide which shoes and accessories she should wear! I would definitely recommend this shop to other brides and mothers!

I love Anne Gregory. I could literally go to their shop any given day and hang out with everyone because they're so amazing. What I love, is it is such individualized attention. You're the only one in there, so it's not like it's a bridal show for everyone!! I started out with a fairly average budget I would say. I thought I wanted lace, so they put me in a few lace numbers. Something just wasn't happening with these. I started voicing that I thought this was what I wanted, and what do you know?? The next dress they brought me, I put on and did the whole crying thing! (I'm not that person).

The dress came in when they said it would, I went and tried on, and everything worked out perfectly!! The dress alterations were perfect and I felt so amazing on my wedding day!! I love this place!

Mary Anne & Gregory were amazing. They have a wonderful selection of couture gowns. I ended up at Anne Gregory 3 months before my wedding because I had previously purchased a gown at another bridal shop. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience and my first gown didn't fit. When I arrived for my appointment at Anne Gregory, they provided a professional and confident shopping experience for me. My (second) gown arrived in plenty of time for their wonderful alterations team to do what was necessary for my gown. The gown fit perfectly and I couldn't have had a better experience with them. Loved Anne Gregory!! I thought I knew what I wanted when I walked in there. I tried on dresses and nothing was giving me that feeling. My experience at Anne Gregory was beyond amazing. Gregory and his team are absolutely wonderful and my mom and I couldn't have had a better experience dress shopping. Gregory went out of his way to get me the perfect dress for my wedding and I am so thankful to him for all that he did to make my experience so spectacular. My gown was an absolute showstopper and fit me like a glove.

Both my mom and I got our gowns from Anne Gregory and every time we were there they made us feel like we were the only ones in the store. Gregory is so knowledgeable and understood my taste perfectly. He not only found me the perfect dress, but also the most beautiful sash and veil to compliment the dress flawlessly. My mom got her gown for both my wedding and my brother's wedding at Anne Gregory as well and her experience was just as wonderful as mine. I honestly can't say enough about Gregory and his team - they are just exceptional and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going to his shop to find the perfect wedding gown!!

To say that our experience at Anne Gregory was amazing would be a huge understatement. I will admit, being a bride on a budget initially deterred me from visiting their store, but I am so glad that I did. They were able to work within our price range, and made my dreams come true - I absolutely adore my wedding dress. The alterations staff was also wonderful, making last minute changes to my bustle and week-of-wedding alterations as I needed them. They also helped re-work my mothers Juliet-cap veil into the gorgeous mantilla veil that I wore on the big day. I refer all of my friends to Anne Gregory, and my mother told my sister that she pretty much has no choice but to get her wedding dress there! They are truly like family to us.

One of the best parts of my wedding was my beautiful wedding dress which I purchased from Anne Gregory. From the moment I walked into Anne Gregory I felt comfortable. They were friendly and efficient with showing me dresses. At no point did I ever feel pressured in to buying my dress. I especially liked that when I asked Greg for his opinion, he gave honest answers about which dresses suited me best. His manner was direct, but kind and thoughtful at the same time. Because I live abroad, it was difficult for me to get in fittings too far in advance of my wedding. Anne Gregory though was flexible and worked with me to get in all the fittings I needed in the limited time I had. In the end, my dress fit perfectly. Overall I could not be happier with the service I received at Anne Gregory or of course my gorgeous gown.

Greg was awesome. After stopping at quite a few places with a photo of the derss I wanted and being told that they would not do that style, Greg had something in his shop comprable to what I wanted. I made some modifications and his designer from New York went right to work. Ony had to have two fittings, the dress was marnificent to say the least and everyone comented on it. All said I looked like a Greek Goddess and I had to agree. I was very pleased and my husband was shocked- he had no clue what my dress was going to look like. I would have to say I really felt beautiful.

Greg really knows his stuff. I went in with a bunch of pictures of dresses I liked in all different styles. I tried on 3 dresses when I found the dress I wanted. I knew it was perfect and didn't even bother trying anything else on. Greg and his sister are so nice, professional and experts in their field. I only had 2 fittings, my appointments always started on time and my dress was perfect on my wedding day. Shopping at Anne Gregory was truly a wonderful experience. Since I got my dress there my sister and a friend have also gone to Greg.

My mom and I both got our gowns from Greg and couldn't have been happier! Greg knew exactly what would work for me, and I ordered the 4th dress I tried on...the whole process took less than an hour!

Anne Gregory recently had an amazing sale where I found the dress of my dreams at a price I could actually afford. I first found Anne Gregory as I was searching for sellers of my favorite designer, Lea-Ann Belter. I then received an e-mail about their huge sales event and decided I had to go check the out and it would give me a chance to go dress shopping with my future mother-in-law, because she lives right around the corner. I got up early the day of the sale expecting a huge line, but there was none. I was lucky enough to be one of the first in the store and had a great selection of dresses. We found about 10 to try on and had a really fun time doing so. I ended up finding my dream dress at a more than 90% discount. It was a sample sale so I was lucky enough that the dress I picked actually fits and only needs to be hemmed. The store personnel were helpful but not overly pushy which I really appreciated. I found and purchased my dress in under two hours and had a fantastic time doing it. I would recommend that Anne Gregory have a sale like this again and if you are lucky enough to hear about it I would recommend you go. Best decision I have made since saying yes to my fiancé. Thank you Anne Gregory!

Greg is amazing!! This is an area where what you pay for is what you get. He helped me see that my 'dream dress' wasn't at all right for my body type, and put me in a gown that I love and can't wait to wear! Highly recommend

Greg and Marianne are fabulous!! I had searched all over NYC for my wedding dress and found so many that looked great but none of them spoke to me as being "my dress". I am from Pittsburgh so I came home for a weekend and my mom and I decided to go take a look around. We stumbled upon Anne Gregory and I walked in and told them what I wanted! Greg had just received a dress that day that was brand new and right out of the box. No one had tired it on yet and they were waiting for it to be numbered and taken downstairs. I wasn't sure about trying it on, as it wasn't what I "thought" I was looking for-- but i ended up trying it on and WOW am I glad I did! It ended up being my dress! I walked out of there that day having purchased the dress and couldn't have been happier. I was so happy with the dress. Everyone loved it on wedding day and continues to comment on how beautiful the dress was and how perfect it was for me! Thanks to Greg I found my dream wedding dress!!

I went to Ann Gregory and Greg and I talked for a minute about what I wanted and what he thought would look good and he sent a girl to the back to grab three dresses. The first dress he put me in was so different from anything I had tried on or thought I would like but he insisted I try it on. I fell in love as soon as I was clamped into it and loved it more and more after each dress fitting. In the end, it fit me like a glove and looked better than I could have imagined. I cannot say enough about my experience with Ann Gregory.

I would definitely recommend this boutique for the wedding gown of your dreams! Anne Gregory for the Bride carries very elegant, upscale, unique wedding gowns and mother's dresses only...stuff you can only find at places like Kleinfield in NYC... Unfortunately, you can't get your bridesmaids dresses here; but it didn't alter my feelings about the boutique. Don't be alarmed; initially I thought I could not afford to purchase a gown here; however, they found my dress and stayed within my budget. They carry unique upscale gowns in all price ranges.

I had tried on approximately 40 gowns at a few chain stores and boutiques in the area before I tried Anne Gregory for the Bride. As soon as I walked in and told the owner, Gregory, what I was looking for (I said I wanted something elegant, timeless and backless) for my beach destination wedding, he told me he had the dress for me. He brought down two dresses for me to try on, but had only one in mind... and as soon as I tried it on, I LOVED it! My mother was not with me at the time and I wanted to try it on for her before I bought it; Gregory even held the dress for me until we were able to return a few days later...My dress, an Amy Michelson "White Chocolate" gown was one I have never seen before on a bride and is VERY hard to find.

Although the hours of store operation are limited, and the price of the alterations cost about half as much as my gown (my only two gripes)--the staff consists only of him and his sister, MaryAnn and a few seamstresses. Everyone was very kind and accommodating and wanted to make sure you look your very best on your special day. Again, I would definitely recommend them.

All of the staff are wonderful! Specifically Greg and Mary Anne (brother and sister co-owners). Their selection of gowns is great and they will help find something that looks perfect on you. They do have a high price point though, so unfortunately this salon isn't for everyone :(

After shopping all over Pittsburgh and eastern Ohio to find my perfect dress, I came to Anne Gregory. I intentionally came here last because they give you a 15% discount if you buy the first time you are there, and I wanted to make sure I had seen everything before going.

I was worried that everything there would be well above my initial budget of $3,000, but they actually had plenty of dresses both at and below my budget.

Greg and his sister are wonderful to work with; they gave very honest opinions and worked with me when I had a freak-out about the dress I bought and allowed me to exchange it for a different dress from the same designer (of course at this point I completely blew my budget, but the dress was worth it!)

The hardest thing for me was figuring out times to do my alterations, but mostly because I have a horrible schedule that's pretty unpredictable. My dress came in and was enormous on me, which I was pretty frustrated about, but after one alterations appointment it fit perfectly!

I would definitely recommend Anne Gregory to anyone and everyone!

Anne Gregory was the first place I went to to look for dresses. The woman at the counter, I believe who is the owner's sister asked me what I liked and I told her, but then she started to bring in things I hated and told her I didn't want..like a big embellished satin ball gown. I was starting to get flustered and then Greg, the owner, came in and asked me what I was looking for and pulled the perfect dress. My alterations also went well considering I was really nervous making sure how everything fit. But, on the day of my wedding the top of my gown fell down all day. However, I have a very tough body to fit, I'm large busted but very petite everywhere else, so I understood why it was falling down. I know others have had mixed reviews, but the staff and Anne Gregory was always kind to me and answered all my questions. Greg, the owner, was great and I was overall very happy with my choice to purchase my dress there.

Greg and his staff were absolutely wonderful! I explained what i wanted, and I bought the first dress he pulled from the back. It is my dream dress and I wish I could wear it more than once. I highly recommend Anne Gregory for any bride...and he definitely makes you feel special. One thing that was GREAT was that the dresses are brought to you, and not YOU to them like other bridal stores i visited.

The staff was great and redid my dress until I loved it the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because I was terrified because my dress came in 3 weeks prior to my wedding. They initially told me August 2 and rather than them contacting me I had to keep contacting them for updates and I didn't get it until sept 9th with a wedding on October 1st. Everything turned out perfect and the staff and owner were super accommodating and helpful!

Greg was great to work with. I went to so many bridal salons and couldn't find anything. I knew his prices were more expensive, but I everything looked to cheap. I found a designer gown that was breathtaking by Stephen Yearick. I received thousands of compliments. They really have the nicest gowns in Pittsburgh. YOu get what you pay for. I would highly recommend going there. I told Greg what I wanted and he chose the most gorgeous gowns.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his collections! He makes you feel right at home...plus, his bridal shop his beautiful and floor to ceiling mirrors. It is by appointment only, so you don't have random looking people staring at you. It was a very inimate moment for my mom, my sister and me. I loved it :)

I chose to go to Anne Gregory for the Bride for a specific designer, Rosa Clara. They had a good selection of Rosa Clara gowns and the owner, Gregory, pulled a gown that they had just received for me to try on. The gown was perfect and I felt amazing on my wedding day. My husband and all my friends and family couldn't get over how good I looked! I did have a little trouble receiving my gown, it took over a year for it to come in after I was told 6-9 months. Despite that, my dress was well worth the wait.

I wanted to love my gown. The gown itself was absolutely gorgeous. I was very pleased with the process in choosing a gown and felt as if with help we found the gown that suited me perfectly. The gowns in this shop are expensive. If everything would have gone right, I would not have thought twice about the cost. I ran into problems after the fact. I had many miscommunications regarding setting up alteration appointments and what was to be accomplished at each appointment. On the day of the wedding, there were not hooks for my bustle and there were noticeable bra cups placed in the dress that hadn't been there in 3 prior fitting (we had even specifically discussed that I didn't need a bra). When I tried to discuss it the day of the wedding (we called for suggestions) and after the wedding, I was treated very rudely. The owner of the shop wouldn't even get on the phone to discuss it further. I was extremely disappointed. This was one of the only details of our wedding day that I rethought at all.

I purchased my gown from Anne Gregory about a year ago. Prior to the appointment I called and asked if 3-4 dresses were at the shop. I was told that they had been ordered and would be in within 4-6 weeks. I scheduled an appointment for 8 weeks later and asked them to call me if the dresses were not in yet. I showed up for my appointment-after managing to get my bridesmaids, mother and mother in law all there- and only 1 of the dresses I asked for was there. No phone call to notify my and no apologies. I wound up purchasing my dress there that day only because I didn't want to have to organize another day with everyone. I was also disappointed by the price tag. This is weird and maybe I am reading too much into it, but the dress I had requested had a price tag that had white out on one of the numbers. The number that was written on top of the white out was a 9. No other number was changed. And since you can't go higher than a 9, it's safe to say, they weren't marking it on sale. I would hate to think that because I requested a dress, they increased the price tag of that dress. I did not see any changes to any of the other tags. I wish I'd have purchased my dress at a different place. Even if the price was the same, at least the customer service may have been better. That being said, once the dress was ordered, the lady that did my alterations (young, very nice) was amazing. That was the one bright spot.

I was completely underwhelmed by this place. I had a feeling this wasn't going to be my favorite place after the ridiculous confirmation call I received. I didn't get two words in before they hung up... Did they ever think that I might have questions? It's not like I have ever bought or shopped for a wedding dress before.

Anyway, after having an appointment at Bridal Beginnings, we showed up here... Rang the bell to come in and waited for someone to greet us. Everyone was less than friendly... not mean... but you could tell this place was different.

The salon is very beautiful, but that should not be a reason why you buy a wedding dress. The associate (who did not introduce herself) brought in some dresses she thought I would like from pictures that I showed her... The one request I had was to NOT bring any strapless gowns, I will not wear one. What does she bring? A strapless gown... her reasoning was that they could add straps if needed?? A lot of the dresses they brought to me just didn't match what I was showing them in the pictures... and trust me, I was not looking for some one of a kind, impossible to find dress.

No photography, no drinks or anything provided, no looking for dresses on your own.... there was no excitement at this place. Sorry, but in today's world, where you can find any dress or designer you want online, I don't understand the no photography thing. Taking pictures and then comparing them is one of the best ways to see if you truly like the dress on your body.

They just didn't seem to realize that this is such an important day to brides and that there should be SOME enthusiasm on their side. I traveled all the way from Colorado for one solid weekend of dress shopping, and this place was a waste of time. As we were leaving, the owner was standing in the hallway and didn't even offer a smile or hello. Just a cold place and I am glad I took my money elsewhere.

I made a list of about 6 shops where I wanted to go to try on bridal gowns. I researched designers, styles, and prices. I was SO EXCITED to go to Anne Gregory for the Bride, thinking that they seemed to carry some truly beautiful and unique wedding gowns.

When I called to make my appointment, I tried to communicate the styles I had seen they carried and was rudely cut off by the woman on the phone, who told me they had too many styles for her to determine what they did and didn't have in stock. She told me if I brought photos and style information to my appointment, then should would show me which they did and did not have for me to try.

I came to my appointment and was shown into a very beautiful room--huge, spacious, gorgeously appointed with antiques, comfortable furniture for my family to sit, etc. I thought, "This is the place of my dreams! I'm going to love this!"

An older woman (probably the woman from the phone call) approached, confirmed my name, and then asked me my budget. I pulled out the photos I'd brought to show her and tried to explain that I wasn't really limited by budget thanks to very generous family members, but that style mattered most to me. I explained I had seen gorgeous dresses for $500 and gorgeous dresses for $5,000 and that, as long as I loved how it looked on me, that is what would matter.

At first, NOTHING looked remotely like what I asked for--I tried to explain, and she said, "Oh. You were not clear." I showed the pictures again and this time she did actually look at them. She then stated crisply that at $5,000, I likely wouldn't find much, and that brides who really care easily spend upward of $10,000 on their gowns, and they could accommodate that with their custom designers.

Through this all, they did not provide any garments (corsets, bras, slips), did not allow photography, and sent the male (owner?) in to cajole. Assume you'll receive poor service if you don't instantly declare you'll spend 10 grand. Yuck!

I was incredibly disappointed with Anne Gregory. The consultant that worked with me whined the whole time I was there...and literally said to me "I don't know what you want from me". I gave her very clear information about style and cut that I was looking for and she gave me the opposite. I also asked her to look at more expensive dresses and she would only pull 2 because she didn't want me to "fall in love" with them, even though I told her my price range was very flexible. She either showed me incredibly cheap distasteful dresses or dresses that were A-line, which I did not want to see.

THEN, we met Gregory. What a jerk. He openly trash talked other dress boutiques in the area, calling one of them "Pigs". How unprofessional. He only pulled two dresses for me, and they could not have been farther from the description I gave.

This was not my first shop, and I had AMAZING experiences at other shops. These people are bored, they rush you, they don't even help you in or out of your dresses..

AWFUL service, bad consultants. Too bad the designers have no idea.

OVERALL RATING : NOT WORTH THE MONEY. VERY EXPENSIVE. COMPLETELY WRONG BEADING. WE HAD PICTURES TO PROVE IT. ACCORDING TO GREG THE DESIGNER NEVER USED CHAMPAGNE BEADING THAT THE BEAD ATTACHMENTS ON THE SAMPLE DRESS COLORED WITH AGE. NEVER EXPLAINED ON PURCHASE DATE. LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM IN DEALING WITH THIS PROBLEM. NEVER HAVING BEEN IN A BRIDAL STORE PRIOR TO THIS I HAD NOTHING TO GO ON. HAVE CHOSEN TO PURCHASE OUR 2ND DAUGHTERS DRESS ANYWHERE BUT AT ANNE GREGORY'S. HAVING SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES TO RECOMMEND THIS SHOPPE I HAVE ENCOURAGED ALL TO GO ELSEWHERE.

What started as a good experience turned into an expensive nightmare! The alterations are not included and each of my bridesmaids had to pay $125 just to have their dresses hemmed. My dress was $700 for alterations. Beware of hidden costs and very shoddy alterations. I am very disappointed with Ann Gregory! Beware.

I went there in December with my mom. And have never had a worse dress shopping experience then I had there. First we arrived a little early because we weren't familiar with the area and they weren't there so we got a coffee and came back and the door still wasn't open so I tried calling (I should have left then). They didn't have what I wanted but tried to put me in everything. They brought out this lace turtle neck, long sleeves, 2 pieces that didn't match. And they cut me (significantly with a pin that was left in a garment. The women there also insulted my mom, my mom is really the most amazing person to go shopping, she gives an honest opinion but also waits to she if I like it, I have been dress shopping with her since my 8th grade dance. They didn't understand that I value my moms opinion, who could clearly see how unhappy I was.

They also have big signs of no photography but were quick to ask for pictures of the dress I did like from another store. They were rude, selection was bad, and I would never wish that experience on my worst enemy.
