My husband and I really enjoyed working with Anna. She has been a calming presence throughout both the engagement session and the wedding. We never felt being pushed to do anything that we don't want to do. Instead she just recorded the moment, and the pictures were amazing! Anna was very flexible too. She worked with our videographer with no problem :)

Anna was amazing! Leading up to our wedding, she was easy to work with and extremely helpful. She made a point of asking which moments/portraits we wanted her to capture, and she hit out of the park. The day of, she was everywhere, catching countless memorable snippets. Anna exceeded our expectations and provided us with better shots than we could have imagined. Thanks, Anna!

Anna was amazing for our wedding!!! We got a ton of comments from our family on how professional she was. My husband and I both do not like getting our picture taken, yet all of our pictures turned out wonderful. Anna did a great job of making sure she was photographing us when we were focused on each other. I would recommend her services to anyone!

5 stars! First- we LOVED our pictures and moments that Anna captured. If you CAN get her, you should - Anna was fantastic. Anna captured the entire day, including special moments of our family and friends being themselves. She also captured the details beautifully, in a fairly challenging venue (on the water, changing weather).

Anna provided thoughtful guidance from our first encounter - helping two rookie wedding kids make it their own. From the wedding timeline, to suggestions on where to take pictures beforehand - Anna's superb knowledge of Seattle and how to make the most of your wedding was welcomed and in hind sight super helpful.

Anna was wonderful to work with. My partner and I planned a very small, intimate wedding and didn't need an all day photographer. After contacting several different photographers we found Anna. She was quick to respond to all my emails, she was flexible, and tailored a package that fit both our time requirement and our budget. The day of she was early and ready to jump right into taking photos, she was helpful(she put my wallet in her bag so my hands were free), and she was just all around nice. I can't say enough nice things about our experience with her. The wedding was Monday and she already gave us a sneak peek of our photos, they are better than I dreamed of. I highly recommend her.

Anna was wonderful to work with. She was so professional and did not need any direction. She knew where she was needed and what photos to take. She captured every moment of our day: getting ready, our ceremony, the reception, and all the small details. The day went by so fast that I felt like I did not have the time to appreciate the small details of our wedding but Anna captured them so that we are now able to enjoy them. She did an amazing job taking candid photos that truly captured the joy in everyone. The photos she takes are amazing. Your wedding lasts one day but photos last a lifetime, which is why it is so important to have a good photographer. I would definitely recommend Anna as your wedding photographer.

Anna was perfect! We got a great price on beautiful pictures--I am flabbergasted by how well she captured our joy on our wedding day. She was super flexible on the day, was helpful when we needed her (she pointed out that we need to fill out the official marriage license in addition to the pretty one), and stayed in the background taking candid shots when we were just down to party. I feel so lucky to have found her and personally, I feel pretty smart for hiring a photographer, since I was so wrapped up in me me me that day that I missed all the sweet moments she picked up with her camera.

We are so happy that we decided to have Anna be the photographer at our wedding. She is friendly, highly talented, responsive, and just as unobtrusive during the celebration as she claims, which means she gets good candid shots. She made us feel that we could rely on her to get the job done well, and she delivered! We got so many beautiful shots, both posed and candid. We appreciated that she didn't edit the photos in ways that looked unnatural - no fuzzy glamour shots! I will recommend her very highly to everyone I know who is looking for a wedding photographer.

We are so happy we chose Anna to capture our special day! She was the perfect photographer: kind, patient, responsive, flexible, unobtrusive, and very talented. She did a wonderful job on our portrait photos, but more importantly for us, she also captured multiple special moments that happened throughout the night. Her photos are stunning! I've received several compliments and one of my friends already booked her for her own wedding. To top it off Anna sent us a link to a few of our wedding photos within a week of our wedding and had the rest of them to us within a month (lightening quick compared to other wedding photographers I've heard about!). I highly recommend Anna and I look forward to hiring her again in the future!

Anna was an amazing part of our wedding day and the months that led up to it. We planned our wedding from afar and she was very responsive to email. She was wonderful the day of our event, showing up at the time we had planned, capturing many unique and special moments during the day, all while remaining very much in the background and not being intrusive in any way. Her pictures are beautiful, natural, and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The process post wedding, including accessing pictures, has been very easy. There is nothing I would have changed and I am so grateful that we found her as our photographer!

We highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for beautiful and personal wedding photography! Anna was so respectful, fun, professional and talented while taking photos for our engagement session as well as our wedding! Anna was open to any request we had for different poses or ideas but was also able to direct us on where to look and how to look good doing it! :) I have heard so many compliments from family and friends about not only the quality of our photos but also how much they appreciated her approach to unobtrusive photography. My husband and I hired Anna for our destination wedding in Jamaica after she had taken our engagement photos in New York in 2011. The resort we got married at charged us a fee for using an outside vendor but I didn't care because I was determined to have Anna as our wedding photographer. I am so, so happy I made this decision. Anna was so easygoing and was one less thing I had to worry about on my wedding day. She captured every important moment, every guest, even the mood of the event perfectly. People are always complimenting us on our wedding photos because they are just so classic and beautiful.

Anna showed up early, was open to ideas for locations and posing and was extremely professional. Her photos are beautiful and absolutely breathtaking. Any communications via email was responded to in a timely manner. We received our photos within weeks of our wedding. We initially chose Anna for her beautiful photos but also because she was so affordable. Her talent is ever present in her photos and booking her was one of the best decisions we made. I honestly could gush over her all night. I loved Anna, her photos and how sweet she was. I would highly recommend her. You won't be disappointed!

Once we saw the images that Anna captures we had no reservations in selecting her for our photographer. We loved her work. Her journalistic style matched perfectly with what we were looking for. We also requested more formal portraits and family photos which she managed beautifully. Read the reviews of her other clients and you will hear the same message again and again. Anna was the most responsive to my questions, Anna provides a great product at a great price, Anna is so creative, professional... Anna arrived early and stayed later than we expected. This was true in our experience as well. She is all of these things and more and the "5 out of 5 stars" she receives are well deserved.

We planned our Washington, DC wedding from the Horn of Africa, and had only a week in the U.S. prior to the wedding to pull all the pieces together. Talk about long distance planning. The photos were the one thing we didn't worry about. Anna put us at ease. She sought out our feedback and listened to what we wanted, she managed our families, she knew which shots would work well and captured so many surprising moments of the ceremony and reception. She was the calm in the storm. Most important, she really was unobtrusive to the event. When I see the photos captured I don't recall them being taken...I simply see the subjects in the moment.

They really do tell a story and capture the personality, style, and spirit of each couple and event. I can not say enough great things about Anna! She was truly amazing. Anna is very prompt about answering emails and text messages. It was 27 degrees out when we did our pictures and Anna was still so positive and upbeat during the whole process. On top of that, Anna had our pictures up that same day. We chose which pictures we wanted edited, and she had them edited within a week. She is talented at what she does, finding the perfect lighting and touching up the background of pictures. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Anna simply made our wedding perfect. Her photojournalistic style and her captivating smile kept our guests excited throughout the night to see her pictures. Anna was incredibly flexible, incredibly sweet, and most of all extremely helpful as my fiance and I were planning our wedding in Trumansburg from the other side of the continent. Anna was a great photographer for our wedding. Her no pressure approach really went with the type of people we are. The pictures came out amazing and she went above and beyond what we expected. She was there early and stayed later than we had in our contract. She is the best value out there for wedding photography. Anna was recommended to us by a friend and we fell in love with her photos on her website. She answered emails very promptly and was a pleasure to work with. The day of the wedding she made us feel at ease, and captured the moments beautifully. We recieved 2 photos within 2 days of the wedding and 20 more within a week! It was amazing to find a photographer who was able to get images to us that quickly! We had the rest of our photos within a month and they are absolutely wonderful. Anna took our engagement photos last year. She's so friendly and great to work with. She arrived promptly and took a huge number of photos in just a few hours. We really love the photojournalistic style of her pictures. Everything looked natural and the colors in the photos really popped without looking heavily edited. The photo CD arrived promptly within a few weeks and was beautifully packaged.

Anna was so incredible to work with! She was extremely responsive, starting from our initial e-mail through after the wedding itself. Because I hate posed photos (and having my picture taken in general) I told Anna that I wanted an unobtrusive photographer who would blend in and not make her presence known. Anna fulfilled my expectations and more. We not only have some amazing photos of the day (and of some unexpected moments therein), but she was able to assimilate incredibly well into the crowd of guests we had. Additionally, because the day passed by in such a blur (which it will, no matter how well you plan), Anna was able to politely and surreptitiously let me know that she was scheduled to leave in an hour when we hadn't done the cake cutting or first dance yet (yes, we were that behind), and offered to stay later if necessary, then blended back into the scenery.

I would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a laid-back, professional, and extremely talented photographer in NY. We had such a great experience with her, and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Anna photographed our wedding and was great to work with. I found her on a google search and after reading reviews and looking at photos on her website we knew we had found our photographer. We were also pleasantly surprised at how affordable her wedding packages are. She responded quickly to emails leading up to the wedding, and it made me feel very at ease and confident that she would not disappoint on our wedding day. The day of the wedding she arrived on time and immediately starting taking photographs. She was unobtrusive yet managed to completely capture every moment. We recieved our photos less than 4 weeks after the wedding, and we are totally in love with every single one. Anna truely has a gift for photography, and I am so happy we chose her!

I found Anna on wedding wire for local photographers. I planned our Auburn, NY wedding long distance and on a tight budget. Anna was THE most responsive wedding vendor we had--she promptly answered every question, concern, etc. She was also very budget friendly and flexible. However, it has been the beautiful quality of her work that really blew us away. We couldn't be happier with our wedding pictures--Anna is incredibly talented and captured our happiness, our familes' happiness, and our energetic dancing perfectly. She didn't bat an eye at my request to include our dog and thought quickly of nice shots for our "First Look" without having ever visited the space. We knew our reception would be a giant dance party, so it was important to me that the pictures capture the craziness on the dance floor--and they certainly do! Anna exceeded all of my expectations in every way. To top it all off, she's kind, quiet, and professional. I would highly recommend Anna to all brides getting married in the area. I'm so grateful to Anna for capturing our day so beautifully.

Anna was great at providing the wedding party with directions when pictures were being set up. Additionally she was very skilled in taking spontaneous "capture the moment" type photos inconspicuously. She was very flexible in being ok with last minute location changes and juggling different opinions at different times. There was really a great picture taken of almost every guest in attendance along with the wedding party. We were really pleased with the final pictures and the guests were happy with the inexpensive and easy method of ordering prints. We would recommend her as a dependable and quality wedding photographer!

I agonized over choosing a photographer that would capture all of the memories of the day, take high-quality photos that my own camera couldn't deliver, be a happy and calming presence, and also not cost in the $2000+ range. Anna was the perfect choice in all these respects - she put my mom and I totally at ease in each of our conversations with her and she was super relaxed and flexible the day of. I also really enjoyed being at the reception and not worrying about photos, because I knew she was capturing gorgeous candids of everyone! Even in difficult lighting, Anna was always making quick adjustments to her camera so that everyone showed up wonderfully. I'm so grateful to her for making that aspect of the day so enjoyable and stress-free!

Anna was awesome! Pics were something that my husband and I agonized over because it's the one thing that you have for years to come. We looked at over 20 photographers before we found Anna. I happened to see the reviews on WW and the brides who had reviewed her used words like "professional", "blended in", "responsive" etc. That was exactly what we were looking for!
I emailed Anna to ask for a quote and she responded within 5 minutes. Seriously, I know this might not be a big deal to some people, but I work in a field where timeliness of emails is a big thing. And it wasn’t just the first time that I sent her an email. Every time I email her for anything, she responds immediately! Even though I had never spoken to her before our wedding day, I had no reservations about her, she was so on top of everything! (Especially huge for a bride that was planning her wedding from afar, I live in VA but was planning a wedding in NY. )
The day of our wedding she was awesome! She captured moments I would have never even thought about. I forgot she was even there, especially when we were getting ready! She had an assistant photographing the boys (I think her assistant’s name was Lauren, but I never noticed her either!). She took posed shots when we requested, but she was not a photographer to push the stupid cheesy shots that some photographers would push for (I didn’t jump in the air).
In looking at her blog, she’s been busy. After our wedding I think she’s had at least one wedding every weekend since then. Despite that, she still had our wedding photos done a full week before our contract stated. She emailed our discs to us a week before I thought she would. Then the post office decided to not recognize the fact I was married (and lost a significant chunk of my mail, including these discs). So Anna mailed us an entirely new set! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Anna is an incredibly talented photographer. She did our wedding a few weeks ago and we can't believe how beautiful our photographs are. She's an absolute magician with the light. Of course talent's not the only thing you want in a wedding photographer: you want someone who's reliable, easy to reach, and pleasant to be around. Anna is all of these things, and a bit of a ninja to boot (we have no memory of her taking most of those photographs!).

Anna's photography is captivating and her personality rocks! All we wanted for our wedding day was to be able to look back on it and see gorgeous photos to remember our day and that's exactly what we received. Somehow, Anna always finds the best lighting and catches you at your best. You'll be missing out greatly if you don't choose her as your wedding day photographer.

My husband and I were married in August of 2011 and Anna Simonak was our photographer.

I found Anna searching online for photographers in the Ithaca area that had a very artistic and natural way of capturing photos. I discovered Anna's work on her blog, website and facebook and fell in love with her work. Once I met her, I knew we found the one. In fact, I think her photos became my new standard of mementos I wanted captured at our wedding. She was perfect.

On the day of our wedding, Anna was professional, sweet, down-to-earth, on time, calm, and most importantly, she was unnoticed. My wedding party was running late and we were rushing to get ready. We barely noticed her. And the photos that reflect that moment, are incredible.

During the ceremony and reception, Anna seemed to float seamlessly through our 200+ guests, gathering the most beautiful and timeless memories. She was able to see moments that a Bride and Groom only get to experience through pictures. And when I reflect on those pictures, I feel the moments all over again.

I recommend Anna Simonak to everyone. Not only is she an incredible photographer, but she is an inspiring woman with a beautiful heart.

Anna was a dream and a pleasure to work with! Our wedding last August in Cicero, New York was captured beautifully by Anna's artful way of taking pictures. I have gotten (and still get) so many compliments on Anna's work. In addition to the loveliness and artistry of her pictures, she was so professional and easy to work with at the same time. She was always prompt with her communications with me, and her reasonable prices were an added bonus. Anna is an extremely talented photographer, and I am so very grateful that she was able to capture the most important day of my life so far.

Anna was AMAZING to work with! We found her through her website, and were very impressed with her portfolio. We met with her once before booking, and were impressed with her professionalism and her overall presence- she really listened to what we wanted. Before the wedding, she was easy to get in touch with and always responsive via email, and she was incredibly flexible with timing the day of. At the wedding, she seemed like she was everywhere without being obtrusive. Her shots really captured the feeling of some of the most special moments in our lives, as well as a lot of the details we put so much thought into. The finished products were delivered to us with a two weeks of the wedding, and have a great casual-yet-artistic feel to them. I cannot recommend working with Anna enough!

Anna photographed our July wedding at the Fontainebleau Inn in Alpine, NY. The grounds of the Fontainebleau are beautiful and we lucked out with the weather. Although Anna had not shot at our venue before, she really captured the beautiful scenery and all of the important moments of the wedding.

Anna was very prompt responding to emails prior to our wedding. I had given her a list of formal shots I wanted, but told her that we didn't want all of our pictures to look too posed. Anna did a great job with the formal shots, but the more informal ones were amazing!

Anna brought an assistant with her for the first few hours. Having a second photographer there was a great benefit as they were able to get many different angles and shots at the ceremony especially.

We were so pleased with how the pictures turned out. Anna sent us a few shots in the weeks following the wedding and the completed gallery arrived via email just a few short weeks after the wedding. Anna also mailed us discs of the photographs in a beautiful little book.

It was a pleasure working with Anna. We couldn't have been happier with our experience!

Anna was incredibly professional and created beautiful photos for a very reasonable price (compared with other area photographers). I communicated with Anna by email up until the wedding day because she was located a few hours away, but she was very responsive when I contacted her with questions by email. On the day of the wedding, she was dressed professionally and kept in the background of the wedding festivities while simultaneously capturing great photos. I highly recommend her, her beautiful photos (check out her website) and her photojournalism style!

Anna was amazing at our wedding! She was practically undetectable all day and evening while she was snapping shots. I was so busy enjoying my day that I did not give a single thought to what was being captured because she somehow gave me the impression that it was all taken care of. Six days after my wedding I got the link to the pictures and it was! She had hundreds and hundreds of the most amazing candids. Eveyone there was captured beautifully. Anna even made sure when she arrived and before she left that I did not need anything else from her. Hire her now before she gets too booked! You will not regret it!

Anna Simonak photographed my fiance's mother's wedding in October 2010 and did engagement photos for my fiance and I in June 2011. I can't say enough how lucky we were to have found Anna. Amongst other things, she is professional, courteous, and incredibly talented. We felt completely comfortable with her. As a wedding photographer, she blended into the background and captured real, candid, intimate moments that other photographers may have passed by. Anna was a dream-come-true. After having dealt with pushy photographers at friends' weddings we were a little nervous hiring someone via email from across the country, well we had no need to be nervous! Anna was very sweet, professional, unobtrusive, quick to offer suggestions when we ran out of ideas, but never pushy or less than gracious! Having just gotten our photos, we can heartily attest to the gorgeous quality of her work. One of our guests even remarked how wonderful it was that she quickly checked the posed photos to make sure they were ok prior to going on the next grouping. I would unhesitatingly recommend her to any couple looking to tie the knot!!!!!

Anna provided my husband and I with amazing quality photographs for years to come. She was never pushy and let us pick where and how we wanted our pictures taken. At the reception, Anna was everywhere, yet never in the way. She is an amazing photographer and we would recommend her to anyone!

I chose Anna Simonak to photograph my daughter’s wedding by studying the photos on her website, those on her flickr.com page, and by reading reviews from earlier customers. The fact that her fees and services are quite reasonable and practical was a bonus. She communicated extremely well and quickly by email, answering all sorts of odds and ends of questions. At the wedding itself she was quiet, responsive, taking specific photos we asked for and then unobtrusively clicking away on her own while events unfolded. We are very happy with the quality of both the posed photos and the candid shots. Several friends and relatives captured the posed photos on their own cameras, but Anna’s photographs of virtually the same frames outshine the amateurs with superior focus, color, depth, and lighting quality. Let me repeat: quality. Her candid shots captured the activity, humor, thoughtfulness, and happiness of the entire event. The only photo Anna missed was when the bride threw the bouquet, but that is because the bouquet shot straight as an arrow and hit Anna herself! But the next photo taken was only a split-second later; she never missed a beat. We are all very happy with Anna Simonak’s work and highly recommend her.

Anna is a bride & groom's dream come true. Her photos translate every memory you'll want from your day. She took shots I had forgotten I wanted to ask her for. And her turnaround time spells out instant gratification - we were still on honeymoon when she uploaded our photos to the online gallery. My only recommendation would be, if you are waffling on whether to book her for a shorter period of time to shave your budget a bit - don't. She's super budget friendly in the first place and that little extra bit for those few extra hours of her getting to roam free capturing your day will be more worth it than you'll ever know :)

We are thrilled to have Anna as our photographer. She is very professional and with a great personality.
She is more affordable than other photographers in this area, but the quality of the pics she took is equally good as others, if not better. I like her style much more than other photographers. That's another reason we chose her besides the reason money-wise. She has a very unique vision which is represented through her pictures. She captured the emotions so well.
We just received the discs Anna mailed us. By looking at the pics, we feel like reliving the day. Anna was not noticeable at the wedding, but she was everywhere. She took great pics of us, and of the guests.
If we were going to hire a photographer again, we would choose Anna definitely.

We were totally thrilled with the photographs and the interaction with Anna at our daughter's wedding this past fall. We stumbled on Anna thru Project Wedding and could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Every moment with her was a joy and the photos brought tears to my eyes from how perfectly she captured our day. She caught every moment I wished I had a camera of my own for, brought out the best in everyone, and found details I didn't even know were there. Anna is a pro. She coached us through the entire wedding photography process, covering everything we wanted while bringing her own creative ideas to the big day. We got all the basic shots you want at a wedding plus plenty of candid and creative compositions. Best of all, she made everyone look good! Anna kept a great pace going throughout the event, we never felt like photos were rushed or pressured but we still ended up with tons of brilliant shots by the end. She was able to capture the unique personalities of our guests and the venue itself. I work in the film/creative business and I can honestly say Anna is as talented as any photographer I've come across. She also had a very pleasant and thoughtful approach to dealing with people (which helps if your family likes to get in the way or distract you by taking photos with their phones -- leave it to the pros people!).

We loved working with Anna. She does a photojournalist style, which is what my husband and I were looking for. She caught so many special moments from our wedding, and when you look back over them its almost like reliving the day. If you are looking for more typical formalized wedding photos then she may not specialize in that style, but if you want more moments than formal pictures, she is wonderful. Anna also edited and sent us our pictures very quick and was always responsive to our questions.

Anna did a wonderful job of capturing our day. I can't actually recall how I found Anna, but I am so glad I did. She was so great to work with and was very responsive to all communication. She did a great job of arriving early on the day of our wedding (which nearly freaked me out because I thought we were running late when I saw her)and immediately jumped into action shooting away and capturing moments that would have otherwise been missed. My only wish is that there were two of her! I know there are only certain shots that can be obtained while having two shooters during a ceremony, but Anna did a wonderful job trying to get every important shot. She was like a photographing ninja, I never felt over burdened by her presence and was pleased to see many shots I never knew she took. I would definitely recommend her to other brides.
