Angela is just the BEST 🩷 We kept her busy altering my formal dress (MOB) , my sister’s formal dress, and all my daughter’s (the bride) dresses. The bridal boutique I purchased my dress from recommended Mrs. Angela for my alteration needs. She took the dress from a size 26 to a 20 and shortened the train, which was 5 layers! She was accommodating with my visit times as I live out of town and work late and was always so sweet to me while I was there. My wedding date is 4-1-23 and I was able to pick it up today. She communicated with me while she was working on my dress to make sure she was doing what I wanted. My wedding is December 2, 2022 (so close!) and I needed my dress altered. She was able to see me, even with my difficult work schedule, get me fitted and had an alterations plan so quickly. We had to hem the bottom, sew in a bigger clasp in the back, and put in extra stitching so the underside would stop rolling over and exposing itself on the top. The pickup day was November 18th, (I had my fitting November 5th I believe) and she was actually able to finish before the 18th! I picked up my dress on the 11th, and she even offered to put stitching in the back where the underside kept trying to show. Right there and then so I wouldn’t have to wait longer.
She was really affordable with reasonable prices, we had fun conversations, and she is super sweet! She gave me one of her flowers from her flower bush lol.

I got my dress from David’s Bridal with little knowledge of this subject. I’m not sure what happened with the alterations honestly. I think they told me to wait until the dress came in to see if alterations were needed. Long story short, they were booked for alterations when I got it back and I had little time to get them. An old friend of mine who works at a local bridal store recommended Mrs. Angela and I reached out. She was available immediately and wasn’t sure if she could take with all of her projects going on but said she would soon let me know. She did and fit me in with her then-five dresses! Wow! I was very pleased. The alterations went great and I was pleased with the price. I tried the dress on and it is snug and comfortable! Would definitely recommend her to anyone from now on!

I came to Angela in desperate need of alterations on my wedding dress with not much time to spare. I bought my dress 20 years ago (longest engagement ever 😂) and I could not get it to zip up anymore. She took out the zipper and added a corset back. It totally made the dress and I loved it even more after than when I bought it! She, also, hemmed the dress as it was too long and let’s just say that was a job in itself... 11 layers! She even had my dress ready a week before she said it would be. She’s very good at what she does and she loves doing it. And she’s the sweetest lady ever! Angela is great! I had her alter two wedding gowns for me (ceremony and reception gowns) and she did a great job on both! What I asked her to do on the reception gown was a difficult task (I bought the dress on a whim during a bridal store sale then decided I wanted the body of the dress to end higher bc I didn't like how it looked on me). Angela was able to make the dress into exactly what I was picturing in my head! She did a great job also on the other dress, which needed the sleeves moved over to fall at the correct spot on me and the length shortened.

My wedding is coming up in January and with all of the busy and bustle, alterations quickly became the last thing on my mind. Angela had to alter my dress down MULTIPLE sizes with four layers to the dress. She had it done in no time, without any complaints. She also tacked in two bra cups for me as well, and charged next to nothing for this service. Angela, thank you for all of your hard work to make this dress EXACTLY what I wanted. You're a genius! Also, it doesn't hurt that her office is absolutely adorable.

Angela is just wonderful! After stressfully searching for someone who could alter my dress (a couple of sizes too big!) and only finding bad reviews I finally found Angela! She had great reviews so I went with her, best decision ever! She is very skilled and knows what she's doing. In about a month she had altered my wedding dress and my three bridesmaids dresses and they were perfect, no other fittings or alterations required! Her prices are very fair as well.

Angela did an amazing job!!! My daughter's dress was a beautiful dress and a major buy from Macy's. However we needed the train to come off and the shoulder straps shortened. The shoulder straps was a rather simple alteration, but the train...now that is an entirely different story!!! It was layer upon layer upon layer....I believe nine in all!!! When I walked into her house to pick up the finished product, the dress displayed there on a dress form simply took my breath away...absolutely gorgeous!!!! I am a seamstress, and I can promise you her work on the train and hem was breathtaking! And I almost forgot....why anyone would want a huge white flower on their tush I have yet to figure out. Angela removed the flower and replaced it with six beautiful little silk covered buttons with loops. Perfect finish to all the alterations involved! Thanks Angela! So glad you were recommended to me!!!

Ms. Roberts has altered dresses for my daughter's first communion as well as a formal gala for myself (wedding date, which this site requires, is actually the date of the gala). The alterations in both cases were perfect. For the gala, she also made me a small purse with the material removed from the dress while shortening it, and this really made the outfit. She is very flexible in terms of fittings, even at late notice.

She took my moms dress apart while sitting on the couch in my own living room. She had my dress for only a few weeks before it was finished. Angela was wonderful to work with! I needed someone to do basic alterations to my future mother-in-law's dress, and she had lots of creative ideas. I liked working with her so much that I completely trusted her to create a veil from scratch, even though she was moving out of the state and would have to send it back to me via mail. My instincts were correct, and she made the most gorgeous veil, from scratch, that matched vintage gown. Angela is a treasure!

My daughter's heirloom wedding dress was altered flawlessly, fragile lace appliques and all Angela's idea of shortening the long sleeves turned out beautifully. She plans to make a veil using some of the lace details from this dress, combined with some from my wedding dress. We were very fortunate to find her and thankful she was able to do the work before her relocation to Tennessee. If you live there, you are lucky to have her!! Don't hesitate to contact her.

Angela did an AMAZING job altering my mom's vintage wedding dress for our small civil ceremony. The lace dress was very detailed (and VERY 80's) and Angela was able to make it look completely modern! She was very professional and had the dress altered in only a few weeks. Angela was great to work with. I had a vintage wedding dress that didn't fit my shoulders or bust and I wanted the whole bodice reworked. In 2 weeks she had the dress exactly how I wanted it, keeping the integrity of the vintage lace even better than I could imagine and the total price was less than what she had originally estimated for me. Angela was amazing. I was very nervous about getting my dress altered by just anyone because it is an expensive custom dress consisting of a lot of fine lace. Angela not only took me on short notice but also worked with me on different options on how the dress was going to be changed which provided me with a peace of mind. Angela's work is incredible. She completely redesigned my mother's 30 year old wedding dress for me. Keep in mind that my mom is 5'2" and 105 pounds...I am 5'7" and 155 pounds. Angela was comfortable in taking on the huge task of making my mom's dress work for me. You would NEVER guess that the dress wasn't originally made for me. She removed the long sleeves, made the dress off-the-shoulder like I asked, expanded the bodice and length of the dress, added a corset back, and she was also able to use my mother's original veil. Every single piece of my dress is original to my mom's wedding dress. Angela will never know just how special and easy she made this experience for me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any alteration or redesign! Huge plus: You can't beat her price for the quality of work you receive.

Angela is a sweet sweet woman who does great work. She catered to all my needs for my dress and my bridesmaids dresses. She even hosted a bouquet flower making tea party for me and my girls! And she went above and beyond and fixed my dress at the last minute when I gained a few pounds right before the wedding. The only thing was she was a little pricier than I was used to paying for alterations, but I attribute that to the fact I had never had wedding dress alterations done before. Plus she was super fast!

Angela did a beautiful job bustling and hemming my dress. My dress was style 8771 from Allure Bridals, aka huge multi layer skirt with a train. She put in a 5 point bustle and hemmed 4 inches off the skirt all in under a week. It was a beautiful job. Her prices were very reasonable. She does work out of her own home and she has a small dog, but he stays away from everything. Overall, I was really happy with her work

Dress Alteration Miss Artful Angela
My granddaughter was getting married December 17,2021. I needed a formal burgundy dress. I had gone shopping for that dress for two days,
and every dress I tried on was too big. Finally, less than a week before the wedding, I found the dress. I bought the dress and it was too big and too long. I bought the dress hoping I could get the alterations done the salesperson directed me to Angela’s Artful Attic. I call Angela and told her my story, and she agreed to help me. Angela did a great job on my dress! I am blessed to know her. She is one of the most kind and beautiful ladies I have ever met. My dress was a perfect fit and I highly recommend her for custom bridal design, alterations, and accessories. Thank you Angela, without your help I would have missed my granddaughter’s wedding. Awesome job!!!!

I would like to give a poor evaluation of her handwork skills. She told me she could repair antique quilts. She hand stitched bridal lace on 75% of an antique quilt in big pieces without doing each damaged area separately. Her stitches could be seen and were very big, appearing like basting stitches. The bridal lace did not lay flat and could be puckered out and raw edges of the bridal lace were also seen. I asked for my money back and her reply was one of surprise that I would be unhappy and no mention was made of refunding my money. I will have to have 2 quilts that she did re-done. I showed the repair work she had done to a professional quilter and she rated the work as very poor
