When I was searching for photographers, many of the ones I came across were a lot of flash and not enough substance. Everyone used a ton of filtering and unsightly vignetting. I wanted photos that would not only look great when I first saw them but also when I saw them for the 100th time. When I came across Andy's photos I was delighted to find someone with a very clean and great eye! Following up to and after the wedding, Andy was always very responsive and happy to discuss with you what exactly you want for your wedding day. He definitely helped ease my mind. On the day of, all my guests were coming up to me and saying how great and friendly Andy was. I coudn't have asked for better! If you're looking for photographs that will look great for a lifetime, go with Andy!

We were lucky enough to have Andy as our second shooter with Marie Garrison as our main photographer. Andy was a ton of fun, very comfortable to be around, super efficient at posing us, and got really incredible shots. We are so happy with how all our photos came out with the two of them working as a team.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Andy and Faith. We booked a package that included engagement and wedding photos. Both events were fantastic! Our photos are beautiful and it was difficult to pick our favorites! Our wedding was photographed by Andy and Faith just over one year ago. My wife and I are still in awe of their marvelous work, and remember fondly their professionalism, enthusiasm, and grace.

I found no wedding advice to be truer than that the special day has a way of flying by. Try as you might, you will struggle to accomplish your every plan, greet every guest, remain calm enough to enjoy yourself, or recall all of the details. I really believe then that there is no more important decision than your wedding photographer. When we received our photos from Andy, we were absolutely floored by his ability to actually capture the feeling (the atmosphere!) of the day - the happiest day of our lives.

To think - of all the planning, effort, and expense of our big day, our wedding photos will be the most enduring, cherished keepsake. We are so grateful to have worked with Andy and Faith. The passion they bring to this work is transcendent.

Seriously, look no further for your photographer. Andy and Faith were absolutely amazing. I can't say enough amazing things about them. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! Working with them was so much fun. We just got out photos back and I'm getting to relive our day over and over again because of all the amazingness they captured! Any one looking for a photographer should choose Andy. One thing that really makes him stand out, is he gets to know the couple first and that helps him capture all of those moments that you want to remember. He talks with you the week of the event to make sure he gets every photo that will be important to you. He was very professional and everyone at the wedding said that him and Faith did a fantastic job! He was so wonderful to work with and we are beyond happy with our photos. They are breathtaking and so professional. I HIGHLY recommend him for your event! You will have amazingly, beautiful pictures after.

We came across Andy Sams Photography through a preferred vendor list from our reception venue (Westwood Country Club) - boy am I glad we did! After interviewing about four other wedding photographers, I knew the instant I left my initial meeting with Andy, that I wanted him and his wife to capture our wedding. Andy was so easy to talk to (like we had been friends for years) and was really in depth in our first meeting. I felt like he really listened to me and got a great feel for the type of wedding I wanted to capture.
We used Andy for all our of photography - Engagement photos, bridal portraits, and the wedding/reception. What I loved was, he was always on time to every appointment we had and always came with a game plan. For our engagement photos, we gave him a general area in Austin that we wanted to have them done and before our appointment he went around the area and scouted out potential locations - we loved every single one of them! It was 90 degrees outside and my husband was in jeans and a sport coat, so him being prepared really made my husband happy :) My bridal portraits turned out beautiful and he did a fantastic job at putting me at ease (since taking solo pictures can always be a little awkward :). As far as our wedding photos go, he and his wife (Faith), captured every moment beautifully. I love their photo journalistic approach to photos - everything seems to flow perfectly. The photos were stunning, hilarious, (some) embarrassing, etc. - everything I wanted to remember from my wedding. They did an incredible job capturing not only all the events and everyone at the wedding, but also the decor and atmosphere of the wedding. I had 300 people at my wedding, so it was very hard for me to get around and speak to everyone and capture everything that was going on. Looking through my photos, it was like I was reliving the wedding all over again - literally gave me chills. I would recommend Andy and Faith 100 times and then some :)

Andy and Faith are beyond FABULOUS! Andy was very fast to respond to emails through out the whole planning process and fast to get my photos back to me. He called me up, because I live in Houston and my wedding was in Wimberley, and we chatted before I committed to using him. That right there was very nice because he got to know me and I got to know him and what his personality was
like. He is super personable and flexible. He did outstanding at my bridals in Austin, TX and worked with me through all the hiccups that day, When it came time for the big day, he and Faith were there early and ready to go! They work so well with people and really make you feel comfortable and like you can be yourself. The quality of his photos was what really drew me towards using him for my photography. They are so clear, crisp and vibrant. I am super picky about my photos and he did an AMAZING job! I would recommend using Andy Sams Photography to anyone I know that lives in Austin or surrounding areas. I also would recommend them for your destination wedding if you are from out of town. He made living hundreds of miles away EASY! I may have to drive up to Austin to do family photos with them once a year!! That's how much I LOVE their work!! Andy and Faith Sams are a phenomenal team and true professionals. The package we chose had engagement photos with Andy first and then our wedding had both Andy and Faith. I highly recommend getting a package that includes engagement photos because an afternoon with Andy will put to ease any concerns you might have had about choosing a photographer. The photos come out beautifully (both from engagement and from wedding). The photos are taken with a full knowledge of composition, lighting, and knowing the limits of the camera. The focus in the photos is crisp and the editing is done with a subtle hand. Andy and Faith take photos that will stand the test of time rather than using photography gimmicks that will look dated in a few years. Outdoor shots come out perfectly with non-washed out backgrounds and indoor photos look so natural that you'd never guess a flash was used. Andy and Faith are very warm and inviting, get along well with the guests, and are such professionals at what they do that you won't remember seeing them, but once you review the photos, you'll realize that they captured all of the moments you wanted captured: not only the big moments from the ceremony and reception, but also warm candid and portrait shots of all of your guests having a wonderful time. I can't recommend them enough!

Andy is absolutely a DREAM to work with! My only regret is I should have paid for a few extra hours to have him come earlier on my wedding day to capture even more of the BIG DAY! Throughout the ENTIRE planning process Andy was quick to respond to emails, hop on a call with me and make great suggestions for the wedding. He is great at helping with the timing for the day. I received my photos in less than six week after my wedding which compared to some of my friends, they had to wait a lot longer than that. Andy and his wife, Faith are talented photographers and really know how to make you relax and have a good time while taking photos. Andy is extremely flexible and made it so easy to pick him as our photographer. If we need a photographer in the future for family photos or another event, he will be the first person I call. I would recommend him to any and everyone looking for a photographer!

The Choe's LOVE Andy Sams Photography! I stumbled upon Andy in the many photographers listed in Austin. Come to find out my co-worker had booked Andy for his wedding, and highly recommended him. We instantly connected with Andy. Andy was so patient, thorough and fun to be around. For our engagement photos, Andy took his time and knew the exact spots he wanted to take us around Austin. We spent a 4-5 hours with him getting unique shots. We had our wedding at Barr Mansion in October 2015, which he's definitely knew the grounds since he also did my coordinator's bridal and wedding photos. We just received our wedding photos and OMG, they are beautiful! He and his wife did an amazing job capturing all the details and made us relive our wedding day all over again. I truly can't say enough good things about Andy Sams. Andy is a true professional and he creates the most beautiful and artistic photos I've ever seen. He can turn any spot into the most picturesque background. He has an incredibly artistic eye. Andy isn't only a great photographer he is a great person to work with. He is so down to earth and works hard to get to know his clients. My husband really doesn't like to have his picture taken and typically looks uncomfortable in photos. I noticed in our engagement session how good Andy was at helping Eric to relax and the photos turned out beautiful! Same thing with the wedding photos. Also, he gets the edited pictures back to you so quickly! He returned my bridal pictures to me in less than 2 days and sent me over 900 edited wedding photos in less than 2 weeks! Amazing! Also, he is very quick to respond to emails and has so much valuable experience at weddings that I was able to ask him some random questions about how we should set up certain things at the wedding to receive the best pictures and he always had very knowledgeable answers. Andy's wife, Faith, was our second photographer at our wedding and she was incredible too! The two of them had so much energy throughout our entire wedding and caught all of the best moments. They were literally running around and almost sweating just to insure that they didn't miss anything important. They worked incredibly hard and it was well worth the money because we have amazing pictures that we will love and cherish for the rest of our lives! We love Andy Sams Photography and will highly recommend him to everyone!

My husband and I just got married last week at Barr Mansion in Austin. Andy was our photographer throughout the entire process. Andy was recommended to us by my wedding coordinator from Barr. We had our first meeting with Andy and I knew a couple minutes into our conversation that he was the right fit for us. His personality is contagious and was such a pleasure to work with. Our engagement photos and my bridal portraits were more than I could have ever expected. He really made an effort to get to know Tony and I and definitely captured our personalities in every photo. I'm so anxious to get our wedding photos because I know they will be beyond our expectations.

Andy Sams Photography was the best decision we made for our wedding! I had the chance in high school to take senior photos with him and knew I wanted him to take my wedding photos as well. I cannot say enough about Andy Sams. He was such a delight to work with throughout the entire process. We narrowed our potential photographers down to a small list and after reviewing all our options, we chose Andy. He has lots of experience with our venue, Red Corral Ranch, which was a huge plus. But overall, we were drawn to his style and all the amazing work up on his website.

Before the event, Andy was super flexible about creating a package that suited our needs. We were not living in the Austin area, but had the wedding there, so instead of an Engagement Photo session, Andy was great about swapping out that part of the package and instead coming to shoot for us on the night of the Rehearsal Dinner.

On the actual wedding day, Andy and his wife, Faith, were so lovely to work with. They made sure to capture every special moment and helped wrangle all of our giant families. They took charge when needed, but were always sweet and never pushy.

I cannot say enough about him. Book him now - you won't be disappointed! Even months later, we still cannot stop looking at all the photos!!

We selected Andy as our photographer for both our engagement and wedding photos. He has such an infectious personality that you instantly feel comfortable and confident in this very important decision. Andy and his wife were both so very professional and easy to work with. When my (now) husband and I met with Andy about potentially photographing our wedding, I was struck by Andy's casual, yet professional nature and immediately felt at ease. My husband and I walked away from that meeting feeling like Andy would take care of us on our wedding day. I was comforted by his level of experience and LOVED the fact that he typically works with his wife Faith. Not only did my husband and I want to work with a talented photographer, we also wanted to *like* our photographer which is why Andy and Faith were the perfect pair for us. They showed up and flawlessly (and effortlessly) took care of business and my husband and I didn't have to worry at all about what shots were being taken, etc. After the wedding was all over, we commented on how ninja-like both Andy and Faith were, especially throughout the reception. I hardly remember seeing them at all but they were definitely there getting all of the shots of all of us. All of the wedding photos turned out so well. The candids taken (both at the church before the ceremony started and then all throughout the reception) were beyond amazing. Andy & Faith captured our family and friends (and us!) so beautifully which is a true gift that we will continue to enjoy throughout the years.

Andy and his wife Faith were so easy to work with and executed all of our visions. Our wedding ceremony was held in a very small chapel. Andy and Faith were able to work within these restrictions very well and we couldn't be more happy with the results. I also had special instructions to get a confetti shot while walking up a stairway in our venue at Lamberts Downtown and he was able to get some great shots of that. Andy was very receptive with all the special instructions we gave him as far as getting shots of the grandparents and other guests we had had on our "must" list. Andy was amazing to work with! I was able to do engagement and bridal photos with him in addition to the wedding, and everything turned out perfectly!! Andy was very professional yet easy to talk to and very laid back. He really took the stress out of each session and made it a really fun, memorable experience. He was also willing to hear what I wanted or did not want at each session to make sure I was happy with my photos, and I felt like I could be honest with him which is a great plus! On the wedding day Andy and his wife Faith were very attentive and made sure to capture lots of candid moments throughout the day. Also, Andy and Faith work so well together! We have a lot of photos that are similar but from different angles/ perspectives which was really cool. For example we have a picture of "the kiss" from the guest perspective (looking at the altar) but we also have one from the officiants perspective (looking towards the guests) which is pretty cool. We also have lots of photos of our guests (I'm pretty sure there is at least one picture of everyone who was there), and photos of the decorations. I feel like I'm reliving my wedding every time I look at them!! Thank you Andy for all of your hard work, I am so glad I was able to work with you!

Andy Sams photography is amazing!!! Andy did our engagement and wedding photos and we are so happy with them! I can't say enough nice things about Andy- the best way I can describe him is after our engagement session I kept telling my now husband, "I just love Andy, I want to be his friend!" That's how great he is, he makes you feel so comfortable and he gets very natural, beautiful photos! On our wedding day Andy and his lovely wife, Faith, were there and both did such an awesome job. As soon as you meet Andy, you'll feel like he's an old friend. So laid back and calm, yet amazing at what he does! He captures gorgeous photos without making you feel totally posed. He took engagement and wedding photos for us and we couldn't be happier! He has a real eye for capturing personality and emotion in a photo. The best part of looking back on our wedding photos is the gorgeous candid portraits he and his lovely wife Faith snapped of all our friends and family. Plus, his prices are reasonable and we received TONS of photos on a CD pretty quickly after the wedding. It was so difficult to decide which ones to put in an album because they were all so beautiful. I would highly recommend Andy without hesitation!!

Andy took our engagement, my bridal, and wedding day pictures, all of which turned out absolutely amazing! From our engagement pictures in May to our wedding day in January, you could not tell that we were sweating or freezing in any of the photos :) Andy is professional, so easy, and fun to work with! He was very flexible with our busy schedules and I was able to reach him by phone, text, or email and would receive a quick response on any questions I had. Andy and his wife Faith captured every important/funny moment from our wedding day! It was almost like they weren't even there; they were so respectful and did not go overboard with the camera, lights, and flashes in your face during special moments, but they still captured all of these times perfectly!! We had a great experience with Andy and highly recommend him!

Andy (and his wife Faith) are truly amazing! We had a small, intimate wedding on the Oregon coast, which was a bit untraditional, and they knew exactly what to do and guided us through every step of the process. They are both such wonderful, good-hearted people who genuinely care about you and want to make your day special. Their instincts are incredible and they brought a sense of calm and peace that was contagious and refreshing. Everyone at the wedding kept talking about them too! I was so touched by their willingness to help out with other details of the day. They are true partners and friends. Our pictures were absolutely gorgeous! From the moment I met Andy,I knew he was the one... The Photographer I mean. We had the privilege of having Andy as photographer for our engagement & wedding. He was very much fun & professional. Andy and his wife both captured the amazing minutiae of the entire day. No detail went undiscovered and everyone who sees our photos can't stop talking about the great moments that were captured. I bought the package which included the wedding and a bridal shoot but being from Colorado that just wasn't possible. So he worked with us and came to our rehearsal dinner the night before and took pictures of the laid back texas style BBQ with all of the family. He is professional and approachable. Always had a smile and was willing to ride on a hay-ride with us to the reception (pretty cool). I cannot express how thankful I am to have these photos to remind me of this amazing day! He definitely gets my stamp of approval...BAM!

If I could describe Andy and his team in one word, it would be WOW!! He was our photographer at our wedding and he was truly amazing. He is inviting, warm, charismatic and charming - he and his team immediately put us at ease and were able to capture all the smiles, laughs, nervousness and every other feeling associated with a wedding absolutely perfectly. He was very responsive and I never waited more than really, four hours, for a response to all my inquiries and for that I thank him. His photos captured every single moment of the wedding - if I could, I would rate him 10/5 stars!!

I wish I could provide a higher rating than a 5 for Andy (and his wonderful wife/assistant, Faith!) From the minute they arrived, they made us feel at ease and made sure they knew what we wanted and expected from them. They absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way possible! We received our pictures back in no time and they are PERFECT! I wish I could put into words how wonderfully he (and Faith) captured every moment--we were able to re-live our wedding day all over again!! Both Andy and Faith are incredibly personable, sweet, creative, thoughtful…I could go on and on! Asking Andy to be our photographer was easily the best decision we could have made. Right from the start, Andy was the most responsive and friendly when it came to searching for a photographer for our destination wedding. His great communication and flexibility only added to the value of his amazing work. We chatted a few days before the wedding to get the final details, and he was friendly and enthusiastic. When it came time to meet him on our wedding day, he came with his wife and drove us all around Austin to take pictures. He even came with refreshments on the hot day! He was easy going, professional, and determined to get the "right" picture. He made us feel at ease in knowing that our special day was going to be documented in a way that we wanted. Just as he said, our wedding photos were done in a timely manner, and they came out beautifully. We are so happy to have chosen and met Andy for our wedding photos. If you want someone friendly, flexible, professional, who also has a great eye for what will make a great photo, you will want to choose Andy.

We can't recommend Andy highly enough. We first met Andy when he was photographing my maid of honor at her own wedding back in 2012. We loved the work he did and booked him to do our engagement session. We loved the over 100 amazing pictures we got from our session. He truly captured who we are as a couple. As our wedding approached, I loved the way Andy made me feel at ease as the big day came closer. At the time I was dealing with all of our vendors all at once, and Andy by far was the easiest to work with. No pressure at all to make hard and fast decisions, and he was very flexible with when we chatted about ideas. This friendly and laid back atmosphere put me at ease and I knew that he would make the day perfect! On the big day I was stressed out about the little things going wrong at the time but once Andy and his wife (and assistant) showed up, they made it better! He put on a smile and distracted me from the little things to focus on what was important-getting married! We received our pictures a little less than 6 weeks after the date. There were over 800 and they are all perfect! Andy really captured the magic of that day, and even though it rained before and after our ceremony, you wouldn't know it at all from the pictures. The overcast day made the perfect lighting and we are so pleased with the way they all turned out. We will cherish these pictures and the memories for years and years. Thank you Andy and Faith.

You get what you pay for when it comes to photography, and I suggest if you are looking for a photographer who is going to perfectly capture your moment go with Andy. I'm very picky and I used Andy for engagement and wedding photography services. My wedding guests lived Andy and his staff so much they were taking pictures of them. He goes the extra mile to get the best shot, and he really understands lightly and backgrounds. I would highly recommend this vendor for capturing your special day!

Andy and Faith made our big day incredibly special! They worked well with both of our locations (ceremony & reception were in two different places) and managed to capture fun, romantic, intimate, and sincere moments no matter what. They truly captured the spirit of our day and every time we look at our photos we feel like we're reliving the best time of our lives all over again. Our wedding was a very small, family-only, wedding (22 people in all) and I really worried about how awkward, and possibly obnoxious, it would be to have a photographer wandering around. Andy assured me that he would be able to blend right in. Well, I don't know how they did it, but not only was Andy taking pictures, his wife was assisting him and taking pictures, too, and except for the necessary posed shots, I would not have even known they were there. The pictures he was able to capture will be treasured for a lifetime.
He was such a pleasure to work with every step of the way...and his work is fantastic!

Andy was fabulous from the very first phone discussion to receiving my pictures on disc. I had first called Andy to get a second bid for my wedding and ended up selecting Andy because of his willingness to work with me on the package that I needed. I'm was an out of town bride (in NC) having my wedding in Austin. I didn't need the bridal portraits or a few of the extras that are offered, but I discussed what I did want (a photographer at the Rehearsal Dinner) and he was more than willing to work with me and my unique situation.

In Nov, we made a trip to Austin to meet with some of the vendors, but unfortunately I ran out of time to meet up with Andy. Again, he understood my situation and he made me feel completely relaxed that even though we wouldn't meet until the Rehearsal Dinner, he was completely fine with that.

Fast forward to the wedding day in Feb 2014. Andy swooped in, knew what he needed to do and took control before the ceremony. He stuck to the timeline, while being polite and courteous for photos between the ceremony and reception. For that I thank him because we had a large group that often needed some wrangling. He was able to get some great photos of just me (since I didn't get any bridal portraits) and some of the groom. He even remembered the candid photos I'd requested (groomsmen had matching socks).

All of the photos turned out crisp and clear and I received them from Andy in just under 6 weeks.

All that to say this: Andy and his wife Faith are the ultimate professionals and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. The kind of ease that Andy provides is unsurpassed, just call him and you'll see. I look forward to their success for many years to come!

I cannot begin to explain how wonderful and incredible Andy and his team are. From our first meeting with Andy to the last snap (one of many!) of his shutter, the entire experience was wonderful. He is fun to be around and BEYOND helpful. There was not a question I asked that he didn't have an answer for. And when the wedding day came he was awesome - he guided me through pictures before the wedding because I was so nervous, dealt with my rather large blended family with ease and even helped me with how to throw the bouquet.

“Breath taking beautiful” was used by a friend to describe the wedding photographs from Andy Sams. I could not agree more.
Reasons why he is an amazing photographer:
1. He is a magician. He can turn an ordinary setting into amazing photographs. Our wedding was at the Allan House and he turned the entire venue, streets, areas of overgrowth and even the prison into beautiful photographs we will cherish.
2. Wedding perfectly captured in “tones” of photographs. We had over 600 photographs that captured the entire event, feelings and moments along with the standard staged family shots. I treasure the photographs since they help me remember all the details and events of the wedding. Trust me, your wedding day will be a blur.
3. Professional and prompt communications. Andy has quickly responds to all communications and even provided a picture I needed for holiday cards almost instantly.
4. Prompt turn around and amazing products. Our photograph link and products ordered were provided in the agreed upon time-frame. The pictures ordered had amazing color/pixel quality.
5. He is fun. This is critical since your photographer will follow you around for your entire wedding. He is a pleasure to be around and made the entire process enjoyable and relaxing. Our photographs were natural, even though our faces started to hurt from smiling. I do recommend engagement photos as this allows you time to get to know Andy and understand all the hand jesters for kiss, lean in, etc.
6. Went above and beyond for our engagement photos. They were just as amazing as our wedding photos. He took the time to scout the unfamiliar location in Dallas prior to our appointment. He had all the best photograph spots/angles mapped out.

Andy Sams is an absolute DREAM photographer and professional to work with. After meeting him the first time, there was no one else that would do: he is genuine, and sincerely listens to you in order to tailor his services specifically to you on your special day. We chose a package that included an engagement session (despite this session being done only a month before our day!), and I highly recommend it: it allows you both to feel comfortable in front of his lens, gives him a chance to know you and your style better, and as a bonus you get some really awesome photos outside of your formal wedding attire!

As for our wedding, Andy is the ultimate professional: contrary to his laid-back, playful demeanor in our first meeting, he works with objective, unwavering focus. I had no planner for the day, and although I had a detailed timeline and delegated people to carry it out, of course, life happens. While others had to keep pulling out my printed timeline or asking me what next, Andy seemed to have it memorized and even stepped in (subtly, of course) to correct it when our band almost mistakenly played the father-daughter dance before our first dance as a couple! I'm sure there were other moments he saved that I wasn't even aware of: it shows his experience as a wedding photographer, as well as his assertive character to do what needs to be done in the moment according to your wishes, regardless of his "contracted" role. He genuinely cares about his clients, and if I had it to do again a million times I'd always choose Andy Sams!

Andy took our engagement pictures in College Station, TX. He drove all the way here without any additional cost to us. He was an absolute joy to work with. We really appreciated his enthusiasm and energy. It is obvious that he is very passionate about photography and it was shown by the amazing pictures he took for us. Andy got our pictures back to us within five days of taking them and had our CD sent the same day. My necklace was messed up in some pictures and when I asked Andy if it was possible to Photoshop it out, he fixed it for me immediately. Finding a photographer for our wedding was a very stressful process for me, and when a friend recommended Andy, I checked out his website and was impressed by his photos and relieved to find his services were in a more reasonable price range for us. After meeting him, I was sold! He is so laid back, friendly, and professional, and I knew this was the type of person I wanted to spend my wedding day with. He truly lived up to our expectations both during my bridal portraits and our wedding, was even flexible at the last minute to add an extra hour so we could get pictures at the capitol. Andy and his assistant Suzanne were wonderful to work with! They were professional, but very relaxed and friendly. We were a bit pressed for time with some formal photos, but they took it all in stride, kept us moving but not making us feel rushed. Suzanne was very helpful in getting us posed, and reminding us to smile or stand-up straight as we were starting to slouch. Andy was great taking all the pictures of my grandmother done quickly so she could sit down. For a group photo, Andy climbed on top of some rock structure to get the right shot! Not sure how many photographers would do that.

One other thing to note . . . Andy was able to get a lot of great shots, without always being in the way or visible. I've gone to some weddings where you feel like the photographer is always there, in the way, in front of you, etc. Andy blended in very well, almost like a friend taking some pictures.

Needless to say, the photos are amazing! And plentiful, making it difficult to pick ones for an album!

Andy and his crew captured and delivered the most AMAZING still and candid shots from our wedding day, and then managed to display them in the most beautiful album setting we've ever seen. Andy was amazing to work with. Very professional and has a great eye. With all the chaos of the wedding, it's such a blur, it's so important to have a great photographer. I am so glad we invested in Andy for our photographs to capture all the special moments. His assistants were great too. Poor girl got stuck shooting all the guys getting ready. She was thrown in the lions den, but she got amazing shots. Andy's photo packages are very well priced too. You can get everything you want and still have money for the rest of your wedding.

I very rarely give 5 stars for online reviews but Andy Sams Photography really deserves it! They were super responsive via email leading up to the wedding date with any questions I had and they arrived early on my wedding day. Andy and his assistant showed up with very friendly and professional attitudes making Chris and I feel extremely comfortable. My guests kept coming up to me during the reception to tell me how talented my photographer was and that my pictures are going to come out incredible. I think that speaks volume about their talents and quality of work. Also, they were both present during the entire reception but I never really noticed them. They let me enjoy my day while capturing it unnoticed which is exactly what i would want in a photographer. If you are looking for the most awesome and coolest photographer in Austin...or anywhere as he travels...then you absolutely should go with Andy. His photos are gorgeous and the quality and style with which he advertises is exactly what you can expect to be delivered to you. From our first meeting with Andy, we were sold. He somehow manages to blend being a total professional and also being super laid back and relaxed, which is something that is very refreshing on the day of the wedding. He not only makes you feel comfortable but he is very perceptive as he can see the complete picture before he even takes it. His use of nature and again natural lighting is so remarkable – he captured the modern essence of our relationship with such care and grace and I am eternally grateful that he took our photos at this special time in our lives.

Andy was professional and friendly. Meeting with him to discuss our photography desires was a breeze. He's so easy going and seemed to really understand what we were going for. Andy is an amazing photographer. We used him for our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos and both came out amazing! Working with Andy was a blast! It was like having a really good friend take our pictures. We never felt like taking the pictures was tedious or was just another thing to do on our wedding day on top of all the other things we had to do that day. Andy made everything as easy as possible and very fun. Andy is also an amazing artist, and it shows in his work. When we received our wedding album that he made for us, every picture he used, whether it was the backgrounds or the main photos, was incredible! I would like to start by saying that our experience dealing with Andy Sams Photgraphy, was nothing less than magnificent! The only way I got to even know Andy was thru a mishap ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING! We got a phone call about 4 hours before the ceremony that our photographer was in a car accident on the way to our wedding. She was hurt but not severely, but as you can imagine these are the things people "talk about" that can happen on your wedding day. I reached out to Andy, expalined our situation to him and to our amazement he said he would be there with in 2-3 hours. When we got to the church, Andy was there already taking pictures with his assistant of the wedding party gathering and getting ready for the event. As our wedding goes thru the night Andy and his assistant were JOHNNY ON THE SPOT! Needless to say that after our wedding, when we recieved our disc from him with the pictures from the event we were delighted to see our wedding thru the lens of a person that up until that point in the church when I introduced myself to him I didn't know Andy from Adam! You know the ole saying ....."God works in mysterious ways" Sometimes bad things happen to good people and in no way was I happy of our original photagrapher getting hurt trying to make it to our wedding. But, when your back is against a wall in one of the most important times of your life, it's good to know there are people like Andy Sams that are willing to come to your rescue if needed and come through and help save our day for us! We will forever be grateful to Andy for what he did for us but more importantly for the pictures that he took of OUR DAY THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME! Andy Sams is the perfect wedding photographer in every way. I could not be happier with the photographs we got from our engagement shoot and wedding. Everyone who sees them thinks they are some of the best wedding photos they've ever seen! The color in his photos is amazing!

From the beginning, Andy was patient with me...a VERY detail-oriented and specific bride-to-be. I had lots of parameters and lots of requests and he accommodated all of them with a smile and relaxed attitude.

Andy seemed to genuinely care about us as people, not just clients. He's a great guy, and he's prices are very reasonable. We interviewed 5 or 6 photographers and Andy was the obvious, hands-down clear choice. The others all paled in comparison.

From our very first meeting with Andy we knew he was the perfect photographer for us. He was so friendly and inviting and he made the process so easy. Andy did our engagement, wedding photos and bridal portrait.

Andy made our engagement photo session very relaxing, fun and enjoyable, which made it very easy to take pictures despite it being almost 100 degrees outside. Andy was great at giving direction for poses, knowing when and how to capture the moment perfectly. We had so many fantastic photos to use in our wedding.

The day of my bridal portraits the venue was under-going some unexpected renovations. Andy handled the situation perfectly and had a plan B on the spot and the photos turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. The day was very relaxed and enjoyable and Andy was awesome at suggesting the best poses.

We love our wedding photos and have wanted to included ever single one in our album. Andy captured the day and our personalities so vividly. He was very friendly and gave direction when needed. We had a fairly large wedding party of 16 and he was very friendly and efficient in making sure the pictures we wanted got taken. If our photos were edited, we could never tell. He did such a superb job of making every image look so beautiful and natural. He has a artsy side to his photographs at times, which we really enjoyed. He was never intrusive during our ceremony or the reception and we never really noticed his equipment. The photos he took at our reception were very "in the moment" and we love them. He also had a fun way of capturing the dancing that took place. We have had so much fun looking at our photos and are so grateful. We have had so many compliments on all of the pictures Andy did for us, and we will absolutely be using him in the future when possible, and would recommend him over any of the other photographers you might be considering (we interviewed with several for our wedding, and Andy was absolutely the best!).

There is one word to describe Andy and his work....AWESOME!!

I was first introduced to Andy when I went to a bridal show as a maid of honor for my best friend's wedding in 2011. His work stood out in my mind so much from his display at the bridal show that after I became engaged I knew I had to have him for my wedding!

Andy did both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. He had to fly in from Texas for both occasions and we were so grateful he was able to do so. He returned our emails and phone calls almost immediately and was so easy to work with! Our engagement pictures were taken in Cumberland, MD (Andy's hometown). From the instant we met Andy in the parking lot, I knew we were going to have a great time. My husband was kind of nervous about the whole engagement picture session because he has always been one to not like getting his picture taken. Andy made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We both had a blast and even my husband said he had fun. When we showed our pictures with family, friends, and co-workers, they all went on about how great our pictures were. And many of them didn't even recognize the location because of how unique they were!!

Our engagement pictures were so wonderful, I couldn't wait to see our wedding pictures. The wedding took place at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, PA. Andy and his assistant were amazing. The day of the wedding was cloudy with a chance of storms and my husband and I had faith that it wouldn't rain and decided to keep the wedding outside. While the girls and I were getting ready, Andy assured us it wouldn't rain and it was perfect weather for pictures. Just hearing those words from someone else put me at ease. During the ceremony, Andy and his assistant were hidden. You couldn't even tell he was there like so many other weddings I have been to. I could go on and on about how great Andy's work is but I have run out of room. Basically, Andy is the best and I would recommend him to everyone!!

I would absolutely recommend Andy Sams Photography to anyone and I do! My husband and I are elated with our choice to use Andy as our wedding and engagement photographer and we will use him again in a heartbeat.

Andy was skilled, flexible, organized, creative and well priced. His photos turned out to be clear, vibrant and absolutely mesmerizing. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with Andy’s work. Saying that he is talented is an understatement. Andy takes photography very seriously and his photos are so wonderful that you will want to hang them all on your wall. The most difficult thing for us has been deciding which portrait to frame for our mantle because they are all magnificent. Andy was extremely friendly and easygoing while working with us. His sense of humor and never-ending smile helped to relax us and put us at ease.

Andy as well as his partner and their equipment were not at all intrusive on our wedding day. As a matter of fact, we hardly knew that they were around but they took up-close photos and captured the tiniest details with no problem at all.

Andy personally edited every photo in our album. He then gave us a CD with all of our photos and the rights to each. With the rights to our album, we have the freedom to print and play with the photos but we have not changed a single one because our photographer so artfully perfected each one.

As you can see, my husband and I were thrilled with the level of professionalism and talent that Andy brought with him on both occasions and we think that the resulting photos are pure photography perfection. Andy’s dedication and hard work have provided us with an entire album of keepsakes that convey our love and happiness. We love reminiscing with our photos and we look forward to proudly sharing them for years to come!

Andy did both an Engagement Session and Wedding Day pictures for my husband and I, and we couldn't have been happier with everything! Andy took every picture we wanted and more without us having to ask. He also suggested poses for us, which we greatly appreciated, and best of all he made the time fun and relaxed. We laughed and had fun through both sessions. There was a thunderstorm the night of our wedding, and Andy successfully wrangled about 30 people between our attendants and family pictures, all while he was standing in the rain.

Andy was always quick to respond to my emails or phone calls, and he handled all manners professionally. His prices were more than fair for the quality of work received, and he was very flexible when we had to move up the date of our engagement session.

For both engagement and wedding we got the pictures back in half the time we expected, and they're absolutely fantastic! We couldn't be happier with Andy's hard work, kindness, and the amazing end result. He made the process so fun, stress free, and simple, and I would recommend him to anyone!

My husband and I went to several bridal expo's during our engagement, and we came across Andy's booth at a bridal expo that was being held at The Westin in the Domain. Andy had the such a great display of photos I was immediately attracted to his work. He had his work posted up on display and also several wedding albums with an abundance of photos to look through. I knew right then and there that Andy was who I wanted to use to photograph my wedding. Andy was front and center through the entire process when I explained to him what I would like out of my experience and the kind of photo album I always dreamed of having. We used Andy for both our engagement photos in Downtown Austin and our Wedding Day Photos. Andy was so flexible with my husband and I's schedule since I worked nights and my husband worked days. Our first experience working with Andy was our engagement shoot Downtown. Andy made my husband so comfortable and we all know most men do not like to take continuous photos. Andy felt more like a friend than a stranger and made us both feel very at ease throughout the entire photography session. I discussed ideas I had for this shoot and he came up with some original ideas that I now have framed throughout my house.
My wedding day experience was even better. Andy was able to capture so many photos and ideas that I never even would have thought of. He was prompt is getting my wedding discs to me and made me a beautiful leather bound album that I have shown to practically everyone I know! My husband and I are so grateful that we chose Andy as our photographer and would recommend him to anyone!

I would recommend Andy to anyone who needs a photographer! Neither my husband nor I enjoy being the center of attention, but he made us feel so comfortable on that day that we didn't even realize pictures were being taken. I LOVED the photographs even when all the pictures I had imagined were outdoors (but rain caused a change of plans and location.) Andy braved the rain so that I was still able to get a few pictures outside! He also did a great job of capturing the feel of my wedding. My goal was for everyone to have a great time and his photographs show the great time had by all. P.S. The wedding album is also super nice and I recommend it!

My husband and I had both our wedding photography and our engagement photography done with Andy in Austin and everything about both occasions was perfect! Andy was very flexible and open to our ideas but could also give great suggestions. He was also really good at reading our personalities and creating shots that were right for us. He was always quick to respond to email, text, phone calls and was proactive about contacting me for helpful reminders or just to check in as the wedding date approached! The photographs we've received are absolutely beautiful and we loved how Andy gives you free reign over your pictures with the picture cd. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Andy for our engagement and wedding photography. We're extremely pleased with all of our photos and are so glad that we chose Andy Sams Photography. He's really great at getting to know you and making you feel comfortable...something that can only come from experience. Andy was always quick to respond any time I contacted him, (email, phone, or text) and was really, really great about answering all of my questions/concerns about the schedule of the wedding day, etc. One of my favorite things about Andy was that even when things got chaotic (and they WILL on your wedding day!), he was completely calm and maintained professionalism while making sure everything went smoothly. I cannot say good enough things about Andy Sams as a photographer, a professional, or as a human being. He was more than flexible, and so easy to work with and get to know. Having been a bridesmaid, maid of honor, and now matron of honor, over the past several years I have seen many photographers at work. Andy's style is what made us take an immediate liking to him as a potential photographer. After meeting with him, we decided without a doubt he was THE photographer for us. Andy did our engagement, my bridal and our wedding day photos. My parents purchased an additional photo album as well. Your wedding day is such a big deal for so many reasons, family and friends all travel to be with you on your special day. My fiance and I just got our engagement photos back 5 days after we shot them with Andy! The fee was very reasonable and we received 81 amazing photos that we are so happy with!

During the shoot itself, Andy was very friendly and made you feel like you had been friends for years. The photos are very focused on us as a couple, and you can see in them how we feel for one another. After Andy took our engagement photos for us, we knew we wanted him at our wedding. He was so creative and has a wonderful personality!
Andy was able to capture our entire wedding day in photos, so that by the time we watched our wedding video we felt like we had already watched it because Andy captured all the precious moments on film already. He was extremely professional and was NEVER in the way. He listened to all our suggestions and created some brillant pictures from his own creative suggestions.

He is easy to work with and helped us both to relax during the photo session. He also had some great ideas for posing. When he posted the photos online it was hard to decide which ones we wanted. We loved them all, so we decided to display them on our wedding day. Although my husband and I had already contracted with another photographer for our wedding day, we did not get all of the bride and groom shots we wanted. I contacted Andy to see if he would be interested in taking a few more bride and groom shots. He was more than willing to work with us again and had the perfect place in mind for a photo session. Once again the photos were amazing and this time we ordered all of them! We would definitely recommend Andy to any bride and groom in search of an excellent photographer.

Having Andy as your photographer is like hanging out with a friend. He makes everyone feel at ease. He did our engagement, bridals, and wedding day. All of the pictures turned out beautiful, and to this day, I still get people commenting on how great the pictures are.
I loved how much time he took to answer each email, and he always answered promptly. He was flexible (we had to reschedule my outdoor bridal shoot because of rain) and attentive. He is also knowledgeable and knew what poses we should stand in for the best angles. And when we weren't posing? He captured the moment perfectly.
On our wedding day, he took beautiful formals of the family as well as fun shots of the reception. I have lasting memories of a wonderful day thanks to him!

My husband and I used Andy Sams as our wedding photographer and he was wonderful! Not only did he take beautiful photos, but he helped us relax and had a great sense of humor making us laugh and enjoy the moment. Before using him as a wedding photographer, he took engagement photos of us to get to know us and learn our likes and dislikes. Many of those are some of my favorites and two years later friends still comment on what fantastic photos they are--capturing our personalities. My brother-in-law commented that Andy was like spiderman at our wedding in that he was agile and skilled and he would swoop in for the perfect shot, but other than that you didn't know he was there because he remained in the shadows. My best friend loved our photos so much from our wedding that he used him for hers.

My husband and I are both comedic performers so we were looking for a photographer that would be able to capture our unique personalities on our wedding day and Andy was perfect! Andy was fun loving, creative and professional. He took some fun and serious shots of us that look great! My wedding day was pretty stressful but was a breath of fresh air. Andy was cool calm and composed. He was able to wrangle my ridiculously big Catholic family together for pictures and believe me that is a task that is not easy. Andy was fabulous and so was his assistant she got me my first glass of champagne of the night and for that I will be eternally grateful! I would truly recommend Andy Sams Photography for your wedding or event!

We had a difficult wedding day. Bad weather moved our wedding indoors and we also had a tornado warning which interrupted our reception in the middle of the evening. My family also wanted ALOT of posed pictures in a less than ideal setting.

So Andy was an awesome guy with a cool head who handled that situation with an ease that not many would exhibit. And then on top of that -- THE PICTURES! They came out awesome. The posed shots came out great - regardless of the situation. Also -- he took A TON of pictures, so pretty much every guest we had was captured in at least one shot. Definitely something for everyone in Andy's collection of photos.

Super impressed -- would recommend him for any wedding or event of any size and scope. Great guy, true professional.

We didn't have the benefit of lots of planning time with Andy. We actually met him the day before our wedding, when our original photographer's flight to Austin was cancelled due to bad weather. Andy came to us from a high recommendation from a friend and immediately put us at ease. He's a true professional and has an amazing eye. While we were all freezing, he was beaming with excitement about the lighting! We're so thankful for Andy. We'll cherish our photos always.

I first used Andy to photograph me for my Bridal Session. He made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. I especially liked that he did his homework to choose the best locations on the property to take the pictures beforehand and was so considerate of the fact that I was in this huge gown with hair and makeup did. On our wedding day, he went above and beyond to make sure he captured every moment and detail. I received over 1,000 photos. I could not be happier. I cried looking at all of photos because they were just so wonderful. My advice to all brides, get an amazing photographer (like Andy) because when this is all over, all you'll have of that day is your memories and your photographs. Nothing else lives on, your cake will be gone, flowers will die, your dress will be stored away, yet your pictures will live on. I highly recommend Andy!
