Amazing photos and amazing personality

I hired Andrew a few months ago after following him on Instagram for about 2 years. His photos were always very captivating and real. Due to Covid, our original plans were cancelled but planned our wedding ceremony to take place at our home in NC.. He was professional but still very personable and engaging. I just received my pictures today and I am in awe of all the shots he captured and I never knew he was even around to capture the moment.. I normally prefer to opt out of pics because they never seem to come out very well. But his pictures captured exactly how I felt that day, completely overjoyed!!!

We hired Andrew for our wedding day of Aug 18, 2018, and I am glad that we did. Him and his assistant, I am going to call her Ms. K (I am afraid to misspell her beautiful name) were punctual and very professional. I did not have all of the details of the day nailed down as needed, but Andrew was helpful and very patient with me and my wife as we zoomed and jumped details and wedding moments . He not only took our wedding pictures, but he helped calm my nerves prior too wedding and at some points during our reception. His communication and response time is great, if you have any questions or do not understand what he would need from you the day of, I would highly suggest contacting him prior to the event.
Thank you again Andrew and Ms. K for being with us on our day, and we will definitely be contacting you again.

Everything was great, from the engagement photos to the wedding photos. I don't usually look that good in photos, I'm fairly awkward, but somehow he made me look like a model. His entire time was great. Highly recommend!!

I got married a year ago and since then I have used Andrew's services again for my mother's surprise birthday party and I have referred him to several friends/family. To say he is amazing is an understatement, he was professional, friendly, timely and best of all he took some astonishing photos...seriously like magazine quality. So if you are looking to have some absolutely glamorous wedding photos, hands down Andrew is your guy.

I've always admired Andrew's work over the years and told myself, that when it was time to get married, I only wanted Andrew to capture the intimate moments from that special day.

After my husband proposed to me, I threw out the idea of having Andrew be our photographer. He wanted to see his work and after he did, he said yes to the idea. I contacted Andrew and purchase a package which included our engagement shoot and several hours of photography/videography during our wedding day.

Needless to say, my husband and I were very pleased with how Andrew was accommodating through the several date and venue changes. Our trailer from our engagement shoot and our wedding day were perfect! And each photo that he captured from both shoots are amazing. If given the chance, we would definitely work with Andrew again.

Andrew is a true artist! We first did an engagement session and as well as hired him to be our wedding photographer. His customer service is on par with his talent. When our wedding transportation had to leave because of time constraints they took the wedding party to the hotel and Andrew completed the job then drove me and my Bride to the hotel reception! If you choose him for your services you will not be disappointed!

Working with Andrew and his team of photographers for our down home African inspired Southern wedding was the icing on the proverbial cake. We'd expressed GRAND ideas around portraying the spirituality that is so important to us as well as including the community spirit as a part of nuptials. Drew was there at every step to see it through. In fact, I was really impressed with his ability to pick up on subtle details ( like laughter and dancing during cocktail hour-which we didn't see) as well as capturing the bird's eye view during the ceremony. There were a lot of complexities involved in our wedding day that may have been daunting for other vendors. Shooting outdoors with a major television film crew on site could prove challenging for less experienced photographers, but Andrew's team executed with precision and NEVER got in the way. They blended in nicely with our guests who didn't even suspect that their most candid expressions were being captured. All of these things deal with the execution and general nature of our work with Andrew. None of these can surpass the artistic genius he displayed in capturing our event. There are no blah shots in our albums. No stand and pose pics. What Andrew captured was the purest essence of a community of artists, lovers, musicians, grandmothers, African dancers, henna artists, old man in coveralls and all the vibrant details that made our wedding an honest reflection of our community. The colors leap off the photographs. The images each separately invoking passion and artistry. We couldn't have asked for anything else and for that we are forever grateful. If you have an event that requires beautiful, artistic storytelling, he is the one to call.

Andrew is the consummate professional. I have been watching his work for years and can tell he has an eye for the love and beauty of weddings. The process of booking, coordinating and scheduling was easy. He sent prompt payment reminders and the contract was in language I could actually understand!!

The day of he showed poise and after a while, you forgot he was there! Which is great since he kept telling you to ignore him and enjoy the day. I have begun to see the photographs and am already amazed. I cannot wait for the entire package to arrive. Thanks Drew!!!!!!

Andrew took what was a small very low budget wedding and made it's memory larger than life. Everytime we look at the photos of our wedding, we don't remember the budget crisis or the stress of fitting all those people into that small area. We remember the Love and the hope of new life, and that is due in large part to the photos he captured. This photographer is amazing!

Andrew is very professional photographer. He has great quality work and is very flexible. If there are any traditions, certain family photos etc. That you want to be captured, he is the guy to hire. He is very creative and will capture great shots. Andrew is about accomedating you and what you want when comes to YOUR pictures, because each brde is different... so with that being said, let him know exactly what you want/expect and he will be able to work with you.. overall he is a wonderful and patient photographer! I would recommend!

Photographs of the wedding are the most important thing to me. I have been looking for photographer in Chicago area for a long time and (thank God!) I found Andrew!
I love Andrew's work! Andrew and his assisant did my wedding in April. Throughout the day, he was right there to capture every moment of our special day. I highly highly recommend him. I can't wait to see our album and look forward to have many more session with him in the future. Absolutely fantastic service. Good quality. Very professional.

Andrew was a highly sought after photographer! Although he has many request he made my groom and I feel like we were the only ones due to his attentiveness and flexibility.

On the day of, he started promptly and never let up! He provided ideas based on his expertise. He made sure not to intrude but also be front and center for any spontaneous, candid moments - the best parts!

We were definitely caught in the moment so he made sure to communicate with the wedding planner and us, in a discreet manner to make sure we were aware of time and any lasting photos. That friendly nudge and partnership with planner was welcomed for us, because as you know it's easy to get caught in the moment.

I was a long time follower and fan of Andrew Thomas Clifton on Instagram before I booked him for his photography and videography services for my wedding. Andrew and his team went beyond what I could have every imagined for the photos and videos of my wedding - pure and simple they are talented, artistic, and professional people with a sense of humor and ability to blend in with the wedding environment.

To provide a balanced review, the one minor issue I had was that it took longer than I expected to receive all of the photographs. There were two photographers present and it took awhile to get all of the finished photos, though the wedding video was finished expeditiously. Andrew was extremely prompt in responding to my inquiries and providing status updates, but I wished I received the photos earlier to provide customized thank you cards to my wedding guests closer to the wedding date.

On the whole, I would absolutely recommend Andrew Thomas Clifton and his team to provide any photography and videography services. I would book him again in a heartbeat! My wedding day was beautifully captured and I am so thankful that I am able to look back on the amazing photos and awesome video that captured all the love shared on that day!

I would recommend Andrew for your wedding with no hesitation. He is the ultimate professional, very personable, pays attention to detail and captured excellent memories for my husband and I. Our picture gallery reads like a story book of each precious moment that day. He does extremely well in shots captured outside. He knows just how to use the sun and scenery to create a perfect backdrop or frame for your pictures.

Andrew has an eye like I've never seen before.... unparalleled to majority of the wedding photographers out there. I specifically wanted someone that could capture moments and draw you in when viewing the pictures. A friend referred me to Andrew and I loved his portfolio. Definitely one less thing for me to worry about during my wedding planning!! The engagement photo shoot was much easier than I expected because Andrew just let us be us as he almost faded into the background and captured the cutest moments between us. He displayed a lot of knowledge of photography and gave us good tips along the way. Til this day, almost two years later, I still get approached on Facebook and other social forums about 'who did your photography'. My wedding pictures are gorgeous! And he took them without being a distraction during the ceremony or reception. He took this average girl and captured pictures/moments that look good enough to be a full spread in magazines........and for that I will be truly greatful always!!!! Andrew is responsive....I gave a 4.5/5.0 because I'm the hear your voice on the phone type versus text messages, but that is my own personal prefference and I understand that these days forms of communication have changed. Bottom line, if you want top notch pictures that make you relive your BIG DAY over and over again......Andrew is the man. Luckily he is also willing to travel to location, so I can recommended him to all my friends : -).

Seriously the best decision to hire Andrew! My fiance didnt have many requests when it came to wedding planning, as long as we had Andrew as our photographer! He was so amazing the day of our wedding, really taking care of us while still shooting! We had a big, crazy bridal party and he somehow managed to get amazing shots of everyone! We love love our photos! I cant thank him enough! Think I need another event to bring him back :)

When we saw Andrew Clifton's work we had to have him do our wedding without a doubt! He was very professional in selecting our package and very hands on! As weddings go their is a lot of chaos and him and his staff were able to roll with it and get everyone in order to take all of the photos that we wanted! We had a photographer with the groom and one with me the bride so we were able to capture every moment leading up to walking down the aisle. He even let us see a few exclusive previews the day after our wedding to show us what we will expect and I literally cried! He even went over and beyond with taking some video footage because he must have known that I would want video after the fact because it wasn't initially in our package!!! It took about 10 weeks to get everything but it was definitely worth the wait! I'm in love and will forever have my wedding memories! Thanks Andrew Clifton Team!!

As soon as we saw Andrew's work we knew that we wanted him as our wedding photographer! He is truly a gifted artist with a keen ability to tell stories through visual works. We were so happy that he was available to take our engagement and wedding photos. Andrew was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and remained a thorough professional throughout the entire process. In the end, we were more than satisfied with our experience and the final product. We received so many compliments on our photographs- both online and print, and the digital files arrived in a charming/creative packaging. Well worth every penny! I have already and will continue to recommend Andrew and his team to those in need of a skilled photographer.

Andrew, is one of best photographers that we've seen (and one of the best we saw, before we chose him for our wedding). He photographed our engagement session and 2-day wedding in Cancun, Mexico.

His eye for natural beauty is like no other. He is an artist in every sense of the word. The way he scopes out an area for good shots, is quite genius. We are not fans of the traditional posed photograph and Andrew’s talent for taking photos that are real, raw, and stunning is above incredible! Plus, taking photographs with him was a lot of fun because he knew exactly what he was doing and he was like part of the family (in fact, he is considered family, now). He created a relaxed atmosphere and was genuinely excited to take pictures.

He provided us with such an awesome gift that will allow us to remember one of the happiest times in our lives and for the rest of our lives. We were so blessed to have him working with us! We will definitely keep in contact with him when our family expands.

My husband had been a fan of Andrew's work prior to our union, & that was one of the driving forces in choosing him. I wrote my initial review before receiving the products we paid for, & that was a mistake. With our 1yr. anniversary being a week away, I'd say I waited ample time for a turn around. Yet, I still feel dissatisfied/like I should represent my experience truthfully to give others a better idea of what they're getting. His demeanor is very personable/friendly. I considered that a plus early on, but in hindsight - it blurred the lines of how we should interact & resulted in lacking professionalism. After the wedding ended, my best friend informed me that he left notes in her phone, hitting on her during wedding prep. If she didn't prioritize my feelings, he could have compromised the comfort of my wedding party at the expense of inappropriately expressing his attraction on such a special day. Regarding his actual work, we had a night wedding, & I expressed concern about minimal lighting for pictures. He told me he would handle it/I didn't have to be concerned. Despite this, pictures taken after the sun had set were extremely pixelated. We didn't get 1 good capture during our 1st look. He asked me to send him examples, saying he may have sent the wrong files. However, he'd sent us albums by this time, containing blurry images, so I fully believe he knew what they looked like and only sought to create an added, unnecessary step. I requested specific songs for the video footage after feeling like his initial selection was odd/ill fitting. He suggested I purchase those songs & then send them to him, as if the $2K+ I already paid couldn't cover the expense of 2 songs, easily found online. Lastly, our package included "engagement photos." We have yet to take them after a cancellation on our part & lagging communication on his. He'd say he would be in town then not follow up. He's a great photographer, but you could get more consistency/professionalism for the $.

Bittersweet

I have been following Andrew for a really long time on social media and knew I wanted him as a photographer for my wedding years ago. He was very helpful and was showing some signs of unresponsiveness before the wedding but I didn't think anything of it.
The day of the wedding, him and his assistant were super friendly and fun to be around. They made us and our guests very comfortable! We got about 10 samples of our pictures that same week and our online gallery about 2 months later. The pictures came out amazing! He asked for a review then and I decided to wait until we got everything that came with the package.
We only got our photo album 8 months after the wedding and after not hearing from him for 6 months. When we got the album we honestly felt like it was rushed. Some pages had huge white spaces which made them look empty or like something was supposed to be there. The album looked incomplete. Going through the photo album very quickly (because I was embarrassed) and then having to show the album on my phone was not how I imagined showing my wedding pictures to my family and friends who weren't present.
We felt it was best to let him contact us to make sure that the rest of our goods wouldn't be rushed either. He contacted us 4 months later and told us that our wooden box (which contains a USB with a video and images) was shipped…but we had moved. He had to retrieve it back to send it to our right address. It has been 2 months and we haven't heard from him yet.
I still recommend him as he is an amazing photographer. Our pictures are superb and pretty much flawless but work needs to be done on the response and turnaround time.

Married 9.23.17

My wife and I were married on 9.23.2017. We paid Andrew in excess of $4,500.00 for a wedding package that included a web gallery, a bevy of pictures, and hard copy photobook, and a video. It’s been 17 months and we haven’t received anything except the pictures he provided in a Dropbox link. He’s been giving us excuse after excuse and quite frankly it’s disheartening. I loved his wedding portfolio and hired him on his ability to capture or intimate moments. He was great to work with at the wedding. It has literally been a hassel trying to receive the remaining elements of our wedding pacakage and frankly I’ve told 3 other couples that he isn’t the guy for them. Apparently he’s been in Atlanta shooting for BET and doesn’t know what’s going on with his Studio in Chicago. When I reach out via text he rarely replies. When I reach out via IG his asst. says he doesn’t run his page. I’m definitely going to find this brother and have a really good conversation. God Bless.

Do not use this man. You will be disappointed.

Prior to signing the contract and paying fully, Andrew was courteous and respectful. After we paid everything in full the level of customer service plummeted. He takes his time in responding to customers and he has a rude snarky attitude and his work is poor. We have been trying to get our wedding package for almost 1 year and he still hasn’t sent our video, nor our pics on USB. Take my advice, don’t regret hiring this man. Our engagement photos were dark and poor quality. The first set of photo albums were not centered and had heads chopped off. Even when he first sent us our wedding pics to choose from, he did not send all. I had to ask, where were the rest of our pics to choose from.

Scam artist beware

I got married on April 25th 2014 and I didn’t get my usb, photo albums, wedding videos until November 5th 2015 after we hired a lawyer! We paid this man soooo much money and made on time payments! Just to receive our items over 1.5 years later! And when we received the items the quality was poor! I’m soooooo disappointed till this day! Please read and do your research. He also didn’t capture good pics because he was so busy trying to get my bridesmaid phone number! He’s cocky and unprofessional! You ruined our precious memories!
