Worth Every Penny!

Andy has been part of our story for over 10 years, capturing some of the most meaningful moments of our lives. From senior pictures, to couple photos, to our engagement, and finally our wedding day, Andy has been there through it all. Having someone who truly knows us behind the camera made our wedding day feel even more special and personal. He didn’t just take pictures — he captured the love, emotions, and memories we will treasure forever. Looking through our wedding photos brings us right back to that day, and we are beyond grateful to have had Andy by our side for such an important chapter. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Amazing! Couldn't ask for a better Photographer

Andrew is simply amazing! We found Andrew when looking for our Engagement/ Wedding Photographer. His positive personality shines bright and he helped my wife and I feel happy and comfortable. We had our Engagement Photos at Stone Arch Bridge in MN and then our Wedding was in Wisconsin. Andrew took our photos in Urban and Rural locations and completely mastered them. There is no one else I could imagine being our photographer, we are blown away with the end results!

Taught my Husband the Value of a High Quality Photographer

My husband was in disbelief when I started talking to him about the cost of photographers. He even said, “why would you spend more than $1,000 on photos? They’re just photos.” I convinced him to come with me to a meeting with Andy and by the end of our meeting he was sold! Not only did he want to use Andy for our wedding, he wanted something other than the lowest tier package! Going home he still vocalized (for days) about how much the photographer was going to cost...until we had our engagement photo shoot. The experience had him laughing, a man who hates being in photos. The photos themselves looked amazing and we left feeling better than ever about our decision. Our wedding day went flawlessly and both photographers had on masks the entire day. We haven’t received our wedding photos back yet but we did get a slideshow preview at our reception, which our guests raved about! If you’re on the fence about who to use or how much money to spend, just remember, at the end of the day the photos are what you’ll have to help you look back and remember your special day. Oh, I almost forgot all the extra little things he did. Like carrying my dress, my veil, and any accessories really. He also called me the morning of before he arrived to check in and make sure I was doing okay and had what I needed. A small detail but it meant the world to me! I could go on and on, but if I haven’t convinced you yet...you should just schedule a consult with him, you won’t regret it.

Best Photographer in the State

Andy was beyond exceptional. He went above and beyond not just for me and my husband but our entire wedding party! Andy put together a slideshow of pictures from earlier in the day that was played just after dinner and all of our guests were in awe! He is truly the best of the best! Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without him!

From the mother of the groom: As the mother of the groom and as the one who's supposed to "shut up and wear beige" I refuse to do so in this case. Andy, you rock. Your assistant probably does also but he was not who I was really "bonding" with so not sure on that one. You were in a word amazing. You were everywhere, you were unobtrusive, except for that whole hazard thing with the hands, and you made everyone feel so relaxed that I can't imagine that the pictures aren't going to turn out amazing. One of the most surprising things and most loved things for this mom was that during dinner you had it so totally pulled together as to have a video of candid shots going and I fell in love with your work during that video. Thank you. Thank you for capturing so many of our friends, our new friends, our new in-laws, our children. For anyone who is wondering if they should pick you - there is no question in my mind that you are amazing at your job and I have a feeling it's not really a job to you ;)

Amazing! The only word I can think of for the experience with Andy for both our engagement and wedding photo shoots. Not a big one on getting my photograph taken but Andy makes it a breeze. Super knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. Highly recommended....

Andy did an amazing job with our wedding photos. He came to Mexico to shoot the wedding and did the reception back in WI as well. He did some underwater shots with my wife and I that were phenomenal to say the least. Honestly, I feel like we underpaid for how great the pictures turned out. I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants wedding photos that they love looking back on years later!

For future couples....
Weddings are hard. Making it through the wedding planning process is one of the most difficult (if not the most difficult) task that we have now overcome, and ENJOYED!
Before we decided to hire Samplowski Photography, we asked ourselves what the one aspect of our wedding would be worth paying top dollar for. This is when we decided that the absolutely stunning photography and videography of Andrew Samplowski was exactly what we would be willing to bend our budget for. He and his team not only captured the raw photos, but the feelings and emotions behind them.
We have been blessed to have Andy as part of our special day, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for faultless pictures.

If I could give Andy ten stars I would! I was a bridesmaid in my sister-in-laws wedding September of 2016 and absolutely loved his unique flare. After getting engaged, I seen Andy at a bridal show, talked, and decided to talk to my then fiance about our photographer. We met later that spring, signed the contract, and had our engagement session. Andy called me a lil while later to check on the planning and as any bride I was melting down. Andy was there and listened. My now husband and I were planning the traditional route but within a month, and after talking to Andy, we decided eloping was our style. Andy was very accommodating as I'm sure we were making his life heck by switching the date and place. Andy traveled up to Ashland/Madeline Island that weekend and made our day spectacular! Our officiant didn't show up (right away). Andy didn't skip a beat. We did an impromptu ceremony and continued taking pictures. Andy even rock climbed with us to an incredible and difficult spot! Our officiant came to the island, we had a romantic sunset ceremony, and continued pictures after sunset. At the end of the day, Andy captured the emotions of the day, made my husband and I feel like we were the only two people everywhere we went, and above all made the day feel natural but as unique as we were. We can't say enough how phenomenal all of our pictures are. Thank you deeply, Andrew Samplawski Photography.

Andy and his team are so amazing. They are fun, upbeat, and so creative. The slideshow at the reception was a huge hit and I can't wait to see the end result which I know will be perfect! I had so many people ask me who our photographer was and say "wow those guys were good at their job".

I have worked with Andy on multiple events and once again, he was an absolute professional and made my sister's wedding day perfect! All our guests gushed about video montage that he put together and was shown at dinner - there were no dry eyes in the house! He made the bride and groom totally comfortable and in turn was able to really catch the essence of the celebration and let their personalities show through. I would highly recommend Andy. Won't regret it!

Andy and his team are beyond amazing!! They know how to make you laugh and have fun. Jeff and Andy know what the other is thinking and just had to pose us for the perfect photo. The work that they do is beyond shocking. We are so glad that we had them for our wedding. We had guest in shock over the slideshow that they put together of the day of photos during dinner. When we need someone going forward, Andrew will be our only choice.

I don't even know where to begin in thanking Andy for capturing so many precious moments at my daughter and son-in-law's wedding. How he pulled a slide show together for the reception of pictures taken earlier in the day so quickly and perfectly, is beyond me. Sharing those images with the guests after dinner was just incredible. I can't wait to see all the pictures from the wedding day and I have no idea how we will choose among so many beautiful photos. Andy is simply the BEST in the business! Hands down. You will have nothing but a positive experience and perfect photos of your big day if you are lucky enough to book Andy for your special event.

Andy's creativeness is what sets him apart from other photographers. He takes the time to think of things that no one else does, while maintaining a schedule as most weddings do not allow enough time for pictures. His assistant Jeff was also amazing, who was brought along to make sure we captured all the moments. Both were super professional, friendly, courteous, helpful amazing.... you get the point. I would highly recommend Andrew Samplawski Photography! Andy is so easy to get along with and so professional. Him and his team made planning our wedding so much easier! He was able to meet up and/or able to answer any questions that we had. He also made up a timeline for the day so we had a plan on when things should be going on. They made a checklist before the wedding to make sure that we didn't have to think about what pictures we would like the day of, so that we were able to relax and enjoy every moment. They even checked in with us and our family to make sure that we didn't have any other requests for the day! Everyone in the wedding party and our families, and friends could not believe how helpful they were with everything the day of! We absolutely could not believe how amazing our pictures ended up turning out. I would not change a single thing and would highly recommend them to anyone!

We had Andy and his team photograph our wedding on Memorial day weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer! He also did our engagement pictures. I met Andy at a bridal expo and he was very outgoing and very easy to build a connection with. He is very professional and personable! While looking for photographers we were hoping to go a little bit less expensive but we saw Andy's work and although he was a little bit more expensive than other photographers, he is well worth the money. Andy and Jeff did an incredible job on our wedding day getting all of the pictures that we requested and more. They kept to a tight schedule but still had fun and they gave me time when I needed a moment to breathe, or take it all in as it was an emotional day; but they understood and were great! Andy put a slideshow together that we watched after dinner and it was an incredible addition to the reception. My husband and I, and our guests, were all able to watch the slideshow, looking back on first look pictures, wedding party pictures as well as ceremony pictures and more. It was so much fun to see this pictures so quickly as he had to quickly go through hundreds (if not more) pictures and then put them together in a slide show in a short amount of time! He then posted two photos online within the first 2 days after the wedding and we were so excited to already have some to show family and friends. We also had Janelle working with us as a videographer and she did an AMAZING job jumping in and capturing moments. We are very excited to see the finished product as we just got married so we haven't gotten our pictures back yet, but we are very impressed by everything to this point! Andy and his team are wonderful, easy to work with, fun, yet very professional, personable, and above all else, very talented. I would HIGHLY recommend Andy and his team as a photographer for a wedding or any other event. We hope to use his services for other big moments in our lives in the future!

Andy was absolutely amazing!! We did our engagement pictures with him, and then he and Alberto did our wedding pictures. The things that they thought of for different kinds of picture poses was fantastic. Andy was so flexible with making sure we got everything we wanted captured. We could not have chosen a better place for our pictures. Andy also helped us with our limo service for before and after the ceremony. Top notch and so great to work with!!!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Andy and our experience with him. Not only is he a truly gifted photographer who takes and produces beautiful photographs, but he is wonderfully fun to work with. Andy has a fun-loving, energetic personality and made our day absolutely wonderful. He is the perfect combination of professional and fun! He captured all of our special moments during our wedding and made sure we got all the photographs we wanted, as well as the pictures our families wanted. He also made a video of some of the pictures he took during the day and played it during the reception. It was truly beautiful and every one loved it! Andy was helpful and supportive every step of the way! He is quite simply, the best! Andrew and his staff were absolutely amazing! He made every step of the process easy and stress free. Not only is his work stunning, but he made my fiance (who hates being photographed) feel at ease. He worked quickly to get the most amazing and natural looking pictures! I was impressed at his ability to create a beautiful shot in any setting while still allowing us to do "our own thing" so we didn't feel posed. Andrew also took the time before the wedding to basically plan our whole timeline for us (saving me quite the headache!). He worked through all the bumps in the road on the wedding day, corralled our wedding party to create fun and memorable shots, and really made my friends and family feel comfortable. We really felt that we got our money's worth with Samplawski Photography! He made our special day fun and stress free!

It was pleasure working with Samplawski photography and Andy! He was with us for most of the day and did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable and all the guests really enjoyed him as well. Both our engagement session and wedding day seemed to go really well. He was very accommodating and was willing to meet with us whenever we wanted before the wedding to help us plan out our day, and calm everyone's nerves. It was treat to be able to have him as out photographer, and I am very exited to see the pictures.

My husband and I had such a bad experience finding and booking out first photographer who backed out just 5 months before our wedding, we were in a panic! I didn't think it was going to get better until we met Andy! Our experience did a 180°! From booking the wedding, engagement sessions, and our wedding day, Andy Samplawski Photography was wonderful! Samplawski photography is extremely creative, bold, flexible, and so much more. Both photographers came out to my golfing event bright and early before the wedding and snapped some priceless memories of my family and groomsmen and I. Very quick, organized, and professional. My friends and family were very impressed with how easy it was to take group photos with the wedding party after the ceremony. I was also impressed with the wedding slides how put together at dinner. The photos in the slide show were beautiful!

ENERGETIC & AMBITIOUS PHOTOGRAPHERS, PERSONABLE, & AWESOME PICTURES !
I planned a Wisconsin Wedding from Seattle. When I spoke with Andy via phone, I had a great feeling about him. His personality and energy was magnetic! He worked around my scedule when I came to town and was quick to respond to my emails. He brought an abundance of photo albums and picture frames to show me examples and I felt he was dedicated to meeting our needs. I had many funny and intimate requests for pictures on the day of the wedding and Andy and his team made all of them happen. I asked for it, I got it! He brought two extra photographers, nothing was missed. My guests, our families, and the groom and I were so impressed by he and his crew's dedication to achieving the best pictures, in the moment catches, posed, propped, and anything else that came along. Meeting Andy for the first time, both Crystal and I walked away thinking "we would have a lot of fun with him as our photographer." We felt having a personal connection to the person we would be spending more time with than each other would be important on our wedding day! Andy was always VERY prepared and went the extra mile to ensure we had the best location for our first look. He was flexible working with us in Minneapolis. He was always responsive when we had a question and he responded within hours. His level of service was above and beyond and we would recommend Andy and his team for any occassion you may need a photographer for.

Andy was amazing to work with from day one. He even helped us plan the rest of the event by referring us to other types of wedding vendors that we were in need of (hair, florist, tux rental) that we needed to complete our planning, and EVERY one of them was excellent. The engagement session was a preview into how he would handle things on our wedding day, and it was so much fun and he was up for anything. Then, our wedding day came and it was no exception to the rest of the amazing experience with him. He captured so many moments and details that I didn't even have time to pay attention to, so that now I will be able to forever remember them with his pictures. More than that, he was fun and engaged others at the wedding to participate and have a good time. I can't even count the number of people who came to me after the wedding and raved about Andy and his staff and how wonderful they were, he even had a slide show of pictures he took throughout our wedding day to show at the reception to everyone. It was absolutely amazing and showed guests what they missed prior to the wedding and gave us a preview of the remarkable moments he captured for us on our special day. Thank you sooo much to Andy and Alberto for their great talents and upbeat/exceptional personalities.

Samplawski photography ROCKS. We are so glad we met Andy and his team at the Duluth Wedding Expo before we met another photographer. The few months up to our wedding day, Andy always made sure to keep in contact with us to see how the wedding plans were coming (not just photography questions...) -- and so we would consider him not only a photographer, but a wedding planner as well! The week up to our wedding, Andy made sure we had everything organized for the wedding day (wedding day timeline, photo lists, ect.) to ensure everything would run smooth on the BIG DAY. Thanks to him, the photos throughout our wedding day went very smooth! Andy told us what to do, kept our crazy wedding party in line and even stopped traffic so we could capture some sweet shots! That night, Andy posted a quick slideshow so people could preview some of the photos and everyone absolutely LOVED it. I would highly recommend andrew as a pbotographer for any event. He was our photographer for our wedding and engagement pictures. He was very professional but also has a fun personality. He knew what photos he wanted and directed everyone to their proper place. He also did a slideshow at our reception of pics from the wedding and its something that was neat for the ppl that didnt go to the wedding. My wife and i know our pictures are gonna turn out perfect and we can always look back on our special day through the pics andrew and his staff took.

We were able to meet with Andy quite a few times before the wedding, so we all felt really comfortable with each other. It was like we were hanging out with an old friend! Andy was great and very cooperative. He helped keep me calm when I thought everything was behind schedule. He just kept saying, "We'll make it work." During the ceremony and reception I hardly noticed Andy and his assistant taking photos. The photos that we have seen so far have been beautiful!!

Andy and his team were very organized and professional. Andy also has a unique way of lightening the mood throughout a very stressful and tense wedding day. He was very active and I rarely (if at all) saw him standing around. It was all about the photos for him. The photos he took were amazing. The lighting was right and he had good poses for us to use. My experience with Samplawski photography was a photo shoot with my a cappella group, Audacious. Andy was very fun to work with an very creative! He came up with a lot of great ideas on the spot, and also let us have input on what we did. My only complaint is that I don't think I can wait any longer to see the pictures because I'm sure they're going to be impeccable!

This review is coming very late since our wedding was June 25th, but it does not mean what Andy did for us anything but amazing for Brian and I.
From the time that I met Andy at the Bridal Show in Eau Claire I was captured by his excitement for photography and amazed by pure love and talent for photography.
I think Andy was a little taken back from how Brian and I are as a couple (we are a bit of hand full of fun-LOL) but Andy captured us perfectly as couple, our romance, our love, our playful side in our engagement photos on one of hottest days in MN and again he captured all those moments on our wedding day and more!
On our wedding day, Andy called me that morning asking me if I needed anything (coffee, water, etc.). I was a very nervous bride, not nervous to get married, nervous about falling walking down very long aisle, forgetting my Catholic Vows, etc.
Andy reassured me telling me everything was going to be great, to remember I am marrying my best friend, that it is going to be a beautiful day and to remember no matter what, the only thing that matters is that Brian and I are getting married.
To tell you the truth, Andy's photography is absolutely stunning, I love his work. I knew that he would not let me down, but what mattered to me most was that he became a great friend through out the process. He was there when I needed a friend the most. It was the little things that he did that day that I have never seen another photographer do: he helped get me out of the church and back in to the church to make my entrance down the aisle to my groom; he fixed train to my dress before I walked down the aisle, he helped bustle my dress for pictures, he helped my Brian and his groomsman put their boutonnieres on, he stopped traffic for me (literally) he saw me cry and he saw me laugh. We had some great laughs together! My mom loves him, and if mom loves him then he must be a great guy!
Andy is a remarkable photographer, along with his team that he had with.

I can't even begin to thank Andy for his quality of work. His vision for poses is amazing and his passion for his work truly shows in every picture. Andy is great! When we got to the location he had exact places in mind to take the pictures, he gave us ideas for poses (individual and group) but he also gave us the flexibility to do what we wanted. He was very nice and easy to work with! :) Definitely recommended.

We were happy to see how Andrew wasn't afraid to take control of our photo sessions. He came up with wonderful ideas for poses and he picked beautiful scenic spots around the wedding venue for us and our families to take pictures. We were excited to see how many pictures he took of our guests having fun during our wedding day. Andrew was more than willing to take as many pictures as we wanted, and he was willing to work with us to capture any photo ideas. We received compliments from our guests on how professional he was. Unfortunately, we have experienced some lack of communication from him. Our initial contact with Andrew was quite prompt; we set up a time to meet within a week. We chose which package to go with, but ended up changing our minds to save some money. He never responded back within a 5 day period regarding us changing our package. After a second attempt, he did respond back finally but only hours before the "time limit" of being able to change your package without a fee (which was 7 days from first signing the contract). The second scenario took place after the wedding. In the contract, it states wedding photos would be finished within 8 weeks after the wedding. After 8 weeks we received no follow up. We then reached out to him only to find out he had finished the photos 5 weeks after the wedding. This meant we went three weeks of not knowing the photos were done. Andrew said he emailed us to say they were done, but neither my husband or I received an email. What really bothered us at this point was that if Andrew had tried to contact us to share they were ready but never received a response from us within that 3 week period, then why didn't he try to contact us again? The last scenario is regarding a document giving us the rights to print off the wedding photos. Andrew said he would upload it online but never did. We emailed and called him at the end of July. Now 4 months after the wedding, we still have no release of rights to print the photos.

Beware. Andy's contract with clients states that they are not supposed to write negative reviews. All I found when researching him were rave reviews and we were definitely less than impressed. He was great with us until we signed the contract and then it was all downhill from there. He was late to EVERY meeting (at least 20 minutes) and an hour and a half late to our engagement session. He cancelled one meeting 20 minutes before it started (we had taken time off work and were already en-route since we chose to meet close to him to make things easier for him) and just plain didn't show up for what was supposed to be our final meeting before our wedding, and didn't return our calls for over 24 hours after the meeting was supposed to happen with not even a hint of an apology. We fired him a month before our wedding and had to find another photographer because we couldn't trust him to show up. In addition to being unreliable, his contract is misleading. We paid for a contract that included all digital copies of the edited photos and an engagement session. After the engagement session we were told that we would not be getting any of the engagement digitals because it was just a "dry run for the wedding". If we wanted the digitals it would be an additional $1000! Nowhere in the contract did it state that we would only get the digitals of the wedding and not the engagement session. It stated that we would get "all digital copies." I was so excited to book Andy from the beginning but when all was said and done, I am so glad we fired him (even with only a month left before our wedding) and found someone much more reliable and honest.

It has been 3 years since our wedding. My husband and I ordered our pictures with Andrew Samplawski about 6 months after our wedding. We spent over a few thousand dollars for memories we wanted to cherish for a lifetime and share with our children. It has been 3 years and we still do not have our wedding album nor the jump drive that was included in our package!! We were told the album might take a few months as it was being sent to Italy... that was 2 years ago! No response to email or phone calls. It seems that after payment was received and the "Great" Review was written there was no more communication or delivery of the items we paid for! This is absolutely not professional and I don't understand how someone could do this and be ok with it. Please make this right!!

We can not thank Samplawski Photography enough for the wonderful job they did not only at our wedding, but the preparation before hand and the engagement session! When we first met Andrew, we loved his personality and we knew he would be professional, easy going and fun to work with. Samplawski Photography did not fall short of meeting our hopes for a wonderful wedding with lot's of beautiful pictures to cherish forever. Andrew has a way of making you feel at ease and is very pleasant to work with which made working with him effortless. We are so grateful to Samplawski Photography for the hard work they put into our wedding! They did not miss an opportunity for some great photos, and blew everyone away by putting together a slide show of pictures they had taken of us while we were getting ready and during the wedding ceremony which was played during our dinner. We got lots of compliments on the slide show, which made our wedding even more memorable for us and our guests.
