How I imagined finding my wedding dress

I highly recommend Andrea’s Bridal in Portland! After a long weekend of visiting a bunch of the Portland area bridal stores looking for my perfect dress with no results, my mom and I had our last appointment of the weekend at Andrea’s. I worked with Marielle to find my perfect wedding dress, and she absolutely delivered. She was kind, patient, and truly listened to me. The store itself is beautiful and the experience was exactly what I was looking for. Marielle pulled the dress I ended up purchasing and explained that adding an insert into the sheer bodice would make it the perfect dress for me. Julia (the owner) came over and even added in this extra fabric for the seamstress at no cost, and assured me that it would absolutely meet my expectations- and it did! I cannot imagine any other dress for my wedding day- find yours at Andrea’s!

Loved the bridesmaid dresses we got from Andrea's!

Andrea's is right down the road from where I grew up and were super easy to use despite my currently living far away! From setting up the appointment, to trying on dresses, and then communicating about payment and shipping. We needed to order dresses with them from a different location, needed some assistance with payment logistics, and help finding a dress that had shipped but not been delivered. They were so helpful every step of the way! I tried dresses for myself with them for my wedding. But, even though I decided to go elsewhere they were very nice and one of the reasons I came back and asked them for help with the bridesmaid dresses. All my girls loved them!

Amazing service!

Due to difficult circumstances with a family illness, our original plan for an engagement party turned into a wedding in which we had 5 weeks to plan. I had quickly ordered a dress online from another site that just didn't fit right; I am 5"10 and most dresses are too short on me. My parents were coming up to visit for the weekend and I called Andrea's not expecting to get an appointment, but luckily they had one available. Due to the rushed timing of our wedding, we were missing out on a lot of the little moments; the bridal shower, the bachelorette, traditional dress shopping and fitting. We went to Andrea's with the idea that we would look and see what they had, but we had to buy a dress from the rack and we didn't have much hope. Andrea's was absolutely amazing. Our attendant (Morgan) was so sweet and I cannot thank her and the other staff enough; they gave my mother and I that moment we had both been dreaming about since I was a little girl. Not only did I find my DREAM dress three weeks before our wedding, it needed ZERO alterations. We were in tears. They were accommodating, positive, attentive to what kind of dress I was looking for, and being so overwhelmed by the situation they guided me based on what looked good for my body until I ultimately found my dress. They elevated an already special day and I will be recommending them to anyone looking for a dress not just for a wedding but any special occasion! Thank you so much for helping make my wedding day even more special.

Andrea’s is your one stop shop!

I found my dress within seconds at Andrea’s but happily enjoyed the champs with my girls throughout the appointment. And then my fiancé and I found his suit and his groomsmen’s within seconds, too. Andrea’s has the best selection of dresses and suits! We couldn’t be happier with the service, value and team over there!! The rented suits fit PERFECT for each of the guys. We would highly, highly recommend you go there for all your bridal needs.

Would absolutely recommend!

The experience that my mom, sisters and I had was just so wonderful. Everyone was so nice and helpful each time we were there. We even ended up deciding to go with the suit rentals for my husband and his groomsmen. They gave me my recommendation for the seamstress as well who was fantastic! I continue to recommend this bridal shop to everyone who gets engaged!

Best bridal shop ever!

Andrea's Bridal was one of the first places I went in our wedding planning journey and I always felt excited to return. My initial contact was with Morgan, who helped me to pick out my dream wedding dress. She provided me with many dress options without overwhelming me and still keeping my dress vision in mind. A few months later, Morgan helped my bridesmaids select beautiful navy gowns. She helped each girl select a dress that she would feel comfortable and beautiful in. Morgan also helped my mom pick out her Mother of the Bride dress. Her enthusiasm and excitement each time we entered the store was refreshing, and I really felt like a built a great relationship with her! My husband and I also worked with Jill at Andrea's Bridal. Jill was fantastic in organizing the suits for my husband, the groomsmen, and the dads. She was great at communicating information to us, as all of our groomsmen were coming from out of state and needed to send in their measurements electronically. Andrea's also steamed my dress for me two weeks before the wedding - complimentary! The bridesmaids and the groomsmen received discounts on their dresses and suits because I purchased my dress at Andrea's - a great perk! To everyone at Andrea's - we love you and we appreciate you!

The BEST Customer Service

I got my dress from Andreas Bridal on a somewhat tight timeline and they were accommodating every step of the way! Everyone in the store was so nice and welcoming that it was such a wonderful experience. My mother and I drove 2 hours in order for me to try on a specific dress and it was absolutely worth it! They were so helpful in answering all our questions about getting the dress in on time and reassuring us everything would be okay - and they were right! They were happy to send swatches of the dress so we could match the men’s dress shirts to the dress. They also kept us informed every step of the way in terms of when the dress was scheduled to arrive. Once it came in they set us up with one of their seamstresses (who was incredible) and steamed my dress for the big day! I really can’t get over how kind everyone at the store was. It was so comforting and made for such a wonderful experience. You are in very good hands at Andreas!

Easy, fun, and relaxing experience!

I had such a positive experience at Andrea's. I tried on dresses previously at a different shop and was able to narrow down a designer. I reached out to Andrea's and was assisted by Amy (she's awesome at her job!). She was able to help me locate the dress I had in mind, scheduled an appointment time for me to come in and try it on, and answered all questions I had throughout the order process. I was a bit worried with everything going on during the beginning of Covid, but Amy was able to ease my concerns by reaching out to the designer and confirming that my dress would arrive on time. The service I received was exceptional, professional, and friendly. I would highly recommend Andrea's for your bridal gown experience!

Wonderful experience!

Andrea’s Bridal truly offered a wonderful, unforgettable wedding dress experience! Amy was my consultant and she was phenomenal throughout the entire process. Upon arriving at my appointment, I explained to her that I was feeling nervous and anxious about finding the perfect dress. However, she was SO personable, professional, and sweet. She made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment. She respected my budget and pulled so many gorgeous dresses for me to try on! Eventually, she brought out my dream dress (which I NEVER would have picked to try on!). After saying yes to the dress, Amy referred me to a local seamstress for my alterations which was great! My dress fit like a glove and I have received SO many compliments on it. Many people have said it’s the most beautiful wedding dress they have ever seen! Thank you so much to Amy and the rest of the staff at Andrea’s Bridal. You made me feel like the most beautiful bride.

So wonderful I want to get married all over again!

After I got engaged, the first thing I wanted to do was find a dress! But where do you even start? Pinterest? Instagram? Say Yes to the Dress? David's Bridal? A boutique? Thankfully, my cousin is like an older sister to me and five years ago she had an amazing experience at Andrea's Bridal and found her wedding dress here. Alison encouraged me to come visit and try on dresses. Mind you, this was more than a drive down the road to Andrea's as I live in Alabama, was planning a wedding where I grew up in Vermont, and Andrea's is clearly in Maine... talk about a multi-state affair!

From the moment I called to make my appointment, I knew that this place was going to be wonderful! From appointment making to trying on dresses the team at Andrea's was so approachable, down to earth, and supportive. I worked with Amy during my visit and she listened to everything I thought I wanted and those body insecurities many of us have (hello hips!). She stuck to my respective budget, engaged with my family, and ultimately helped me find my dream dress. I felt like I had another friend in the process. As I tried on different options she carefully listened to what I liked or didn't like about each one and constructively helped me narrow down to two - one that was more of a "surprise factor" and had a skirt that was lightweight and fitting for my May wedding, and another that was what I like to call "classically me" but had a heavier fabric that was a bit more church wedding than open field. As I debated the pros and con's of each Amy looked at me as I stood in the dress I would ultimately pick (the one with the heavier fabric) and said, "The way you are looking at yourself in the mirror, you're smiling from the inside - you can tell that you FEEL beautiful in this dress and you know you look good. Some of the others you were in I could see the wheels turning in your head as you analyzed it - you're not doing that here." And so, I walked out having ordered a dress that I loved then, loved 6 months later when I came to get it, and 11 months later when I wore it down the aisle three weeks ago. I just want to put it on again and wear it now! Thank you Amy for helping me feel like the best version of myself on my wedding day!

Two more things - I highly recommend visiting on a weekday if you can, because it was wonderful to almost have the place to ourselves! With my sister with me, we were able to go right from my bridal gown fitting to picking out the bridesmaid dresses without originally scheduling an appointment to do that... knocked off two major checklist items!

I also want to give a big shoutout to Julia who helped me during my fitting and find my perfect veil (is it weird to occasionally wear that around the house now?!) and then had the major undertaking of finding my mom a MOB dress (if I could use the monkey with his eyes covered emoji here I would). I love my mom so much and she is one of the most endearing and innocent people I know, but let's just say that she "doesn't get out a lot" and has insecurities that everyone around her thinks she shouldn't. At Andreas the MOB and Bridesmaid Dresses are located downstairs and the bridal gowns are located upstairs. When we walked in the first thing my mom says is "I don't want to come out in front of a lot of people when I'm trying dresses on!" (Insert palm to face emoji here...) so she asks Julia very innocently, "Can I try on my dresses up here?" (we were already upstairs for my fitting) Julia magically made it happen and long story short my mom literally purchased and fell in love with the first dress Julia brought up. I think my mom may have even included the experience by telling Julia she loved her so much she wanted her to be at the wedding...

The gratefulness that we feel to the Andrea's Bridal team for making the entire experience fun, memorable (I'm sure Julia will remember my mom asking for a dress that wasn't too "Roman" --whatever that means!?!) and magical. They ultimately enabled myself, my mom, and my sister to feel like the best and most beautiful versions of ourselves. I can only cross my fingers that my sister (hopefully soon) decides to also return to Andrea's to find a dress for her wedding day.

Cannot say enough good things about this bridal
shop. They know all the latest trends and styles while listening to exactly what you are comfortable with. My two cousins and I all looked elsewhere but ultimately only found our dream dressses (that fit our budgets) at Andreas. Julia was our consultant and she is simply amazing. You can try out all the other places but make sure Andreas is on your list and don’t buy anything until you go here. They make you feel like you are the only person in the shop. Top notch!

The joy of working with their professional staff was only eclipsed by the outcome: finding my perfect wedding dress! Amy was patient, creative, and fun! I had a great experience here. I went to another bridal boutique that is closer to home (Andreas is a 2 hour drive for me) and they had the same dress. I had such a great experience at Andreas that I went back to Portland to purchase the dress from them! When we went back to look for bridesmaids dresses it was just as special of a moment for them. Andrea's Bridal gave me exactly the experience I was looking for when searching for my wedding dress! After having a not so great appointment at a larger chain bridal salon, I was a bit nervous for my next appointment. My consultant at Andrea's, Julie, was absolutely fantastic! She made me feel comfortable from the beginning and really listened to what I was looking for in a dress. The salon had all of the dresses on their website in the store, so anything I had seen online and liked I was able to try on that day. Ashley helped me find the perfect wedding dress! I told her a little bit about what I envisioned and she went to pick out dresses for me. The dress I ended up buying was actually the first one I put on! She knew exactly what I was looking for. She also put me in several silhouettes just to see how I looked in them and was very patient when I was making my decision.

I actually decided not to buy the dress the day of my appointment and she was very understanding and did not pressure me into making a decision or make me feel like I had to get one that day. I really appreciated that she wanted me to find the perfect dress, and not just make a sale. She took my measurements and told me to just call if I decided on this dress and they would already have all the paperwork ready. I did eventually decide to go with the first dress and the ordering process went smoothly and the dress showed up with plenty of time to get altered.

Andreas did a great job helping me find my wedding dress! I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for, but they convinced me to try on a dress I didn't think I would like and it ended up being the one! I had previously tried on dresses at a few other stores and this was the best experience by far. I was planning my wedding from North Carolina, so I wasn't able to do things (alterations, steam pressing, etc.) right on schedule but they were super flexible and got everything done on time so I didn't have to stress at all! Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful - I would highly recommend looking for your wedding dress at Andreas!

Jill was the absolute best helping pick out my dress. Everyone at Andrea's is so friendly and helpful and all of their dresses are so beautiful! When my dress came in there was a slight pull that I would probably not have even noticed, but they immediately contacted the dress maker and had a brand new dress for me in a few weeks! Andrea's was one of my first choices for trying on dresses, and I was not disappointed. They're very popular and their appointment times fill up fast, so book well in advance so the day you're planning on going is available. All the staff I interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I was able to find my dress that first visit! I told the attendant what I had in mind and what styles I liked, and she came back with some awesome dresses and a few that she thought would look good. She was so helpful! I had been to a few other places in the Portland area before but no luck. Andrea's has a great selection and are reasonable price-wise; I lucked out and they had the dress that I wanted in a size that fit with a few modifications, so I was able to buy the sample and save serious money, and they stored it on site til I was ready to pick it up. The only thing that was a bit disappointing is that they don't do alterations in house, but I found my seamstress from off their list of recommendations and she was PHENOMENAL, so all in all it worked out. I have quite a few friends who just got engaged so I've been recommending Andrea's to them for sure.

So happy we chose Andrea's Bridal for my daughter's wedding dress. We had an appointment and were shown gorgeous dresses in the price range we specified. The choice came down to two dresses but in both cases there was something my daughter wasn't really sure about. We had an appointment to go back and see those two dresses but my daughter asked if she could start over again and look at more dresses. That was not a problem and when she explained her issues with the two dresses that she liked and what she was unsure of, the attendant found the dress that was everything my daughter was looking for. We both teared up when she put in on and we knew it was just perfect. We placed the order. The dress arrived exactly when promised and it was beautiful. So many beautiful dresses and very nice facility and employees. My daughter traveled from another state with her dress only two days before the wedding and they were nice enough to press the dress and have it ready for her the day before the wedding. A+++++

I had heard about Andrea's from a couple friends who had gotten married a few years ago when I got engaged. I was one of those brides that wasn't super excited about trying on dresses because I don't love the way I look in things. I had both sisters, my mother, and my future mother in law with me which was quite overwhelming but when I walked into Andrea's and instantly felt at ease. I had a picture and description of what I knew i wanted which was helpful but I was still encourages to try on things that I may not have known I liked. The dress I had a picture of, Andreas did not have at their shop but put me into something very similar...I fell in love...when I walked out everyone I was with had tears in their eyes and I knew that was it...It took me going one time, 7 dresses later and I had my dress. I couldn't believe it. They were helpful in recommending someone to alter my dress...who was simply amazing...and had it steamed for the wedding which I picked up from the salon the day before and it was perfect. I loved working with Andrea's!

Andrea's Bridal was an absolute joy to work with! Such beautiful dresses! I loved that you weren't trying on dresses directly adjacent to another bride, instead they have it set up so you feel as though you are the only bride there trying on dresses. I had a wonderful experience at Andrea's. They had a beautiful selection of dresses. The appointment was relaxed with no pressure and my consultant Amy helped me pick the dress I just love! Jen helped me order the dress with lots of time to spare. I was able to get a truck show price the weekend after I picked the dress because I was traveling from out of town. I just picked up my dress this past weekend and my appointment was amazing. My dress fit like a glove. The bridal experience was perfect from start to finish. Thank you Andrea's!

I had an amazing experience at Andrea's bridal. It was my first day dress shopping. I am a size 16W. I was not planning on finding a dress that day. I was worried about not feeling comfortable with my body during this process but my experience was quite the opposite. My consultant Amy was amazing, she made me feel comfortable from the get go. She pulled some beautiful dresses for me to try. My wedding was only 4 months away when I went in, so we were limited to dresses we could get quickly or buy off the rack. The first dress she put on me looked beautiful. I tried a coupled more on that weren't it. Then she brought out THE ONE. It was not what I imagined but it was perfect. It fit me perfectly, it was for sale off the rack, it was 50% off, and I felt absolutely amazing in it. I had my bridal moment. I cannot recommend Andrea's highly enough.

I was a bit nervous because I've had friends who were sold hard during their bridal appointments. Andrea's was very professional and helpful. They also didn't waste time. They listened to my needs and wants. I did not feel pressured into anything nor was offered any "special discounts if I bought before I left the appointment." I did end up buying, but it was my choice. They gave me a very helpful list of alteration vendors in the area and clearly spelled out the timeline of fittings and when my dress would come in.

Andrea’s was my first—and last—stop on the wedding dress hunt. I was incredibly nervous when I got to the store, but Jill immediately made me feel at ease. After showing her a few photos, she immediately knew which dresses to pull, and I left that day with my dress purchased! Wonderful and well established Portland shop with a wide selection and kind, helpful staff.

Julia and her team are wonderful and accommodating. They were very respectful of all questions and made the process of buying a wedding dress fun and flexible. They were very responsive and kept me up to date every step of the way. Julia even called the dress designer for me to get sample fabrics to help me make my dress color decision. I can't say enough about how great it was to work with everyone at Andrea's Bridal.

I had a wonderful experience at Andrea's Bridal. The staff is knowledgable and professionalWith showing a few photos about what i liked and didn't like, they were able to pull me the most perfect dress! I actually ended up buying a sample off the rack! Julia and Jill have been by my side the entire wedding planning process! We ended up back at andreas to get my girls bridesmaids dresses we had quite the range of body types and each girls looked amazing and felt amazing in their dress!
About 2.5 months before my wedding is where i couldn't have asked for more from them. My MOH decided to no longer be a part of the wedding, and i ended up in the store in tears worried i wouldn't be able to get another dress for someone else stepping in. After crying my eyes out and listening to the situation, julia looked at me with the most calming face and said "there are some things i can't fix, and this isn't one of them". They ended up getting my girl a dress with 2 weeks to spare (in which she was able to get altered) and they were able to make this all happen with her being in boston and never once coming to the store! Everyone kept me in the loop with timing and were honestly amazing. Then, about 3 weeks before the wedding the seamstress ruined my moms dress. Julia went with my mom to the seamstress (on her day off never the less) to stand up for my mom and see the mess of the dress. Julia then let my mom go to the store and take any dress she wanted to replace the one that was ruined (since there wasn't enough time to order another). To make matter worse, 7 days before the wedding the seamstress had issues with my dress. She met us again at andreas 6 days before the wedding and long story short was very unprofessional and left me with an un finished dress. Julia went above and beyond and found someone else to finish my dress. This shouldn't have been her responsibility or problem but she went above and beyond. Andreas bridal is all around amazing!

Love Andrea's Bridal! The girls there are incredibly nice and really listen to likes and dislikes during the wedding dress buying process. The store is beautiful with a wide variety of gowns perfect for women all different shapes and sizes. The girls were very responsive and everyone was a joy to work with. I had a wonderful experience with Andrea's! I found my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses there. My felt very special during my consultation and had the staffs individual attention for an hour and half. She really listened to my likes and dislikes and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone which actually paid off! I absolutely loved my dress! They called to let me know when each girls dress came in and gave a great list of recommended seamstresses. Once my dress was altered I brought it back to get steamed and pressed and they had it ready and waiting for me to pickup the day before my wedding. The entire staff is so welcoming and friendly. I had a great experience!

AMAZING! Loved them! Every single person there made me feel so important, but I was fortunate enough to have the owner as my "stylist/helper" and she picked out a gown for me that ended up being MINE! So patient, kind, caring, and made me feel like we were long-lost friends! Everyone should go here, even those from out-of-state!

Everyone here is so amazing! I never felt pressured when trying on dresses. I chatted with my consultant about what I was looking for style wise and it felt like she had known me for years. I purchased by wedding dress from Andrea's Bridal and I couldn't have been happier with my experience as well as the gown itself! The prices were very reasonable. All dresses are below $4,500 I believe. I loved every dress I tried on and then fell in love with the fifth or so one. I ended up with a beautiful unique, but classic gown that looked much more expensive than the $1200 I paid. I also purchased my veil from Andrea's Bridal. I bought the gown in July and it was ready for me in November I believe, so definitely go look early!

Nothing but 5 stars for Andrea's! They were so wonderful to shop with. I was very nervous when I showed up to try on dresses, but the staff was so friendly and helpful that it calmed me right down. I had no real idea what I wanted, only things that I DIDN'T want, and Jill was great to work with. She helped me pick out a few styles that I liked and then after trying them on, went with what I liked and didn't like about those dresses to pick out more until I had found THE ONE. I also loved that I got my own sales associate - I know some of the bigger stores double or triple up brides with sales staff, so I loved that, even on a Saturday, they only make appointments for each sales associate to work with one bride at a time.

We also used Andrea's to buy my bridesmaid dresses, and Jill was great with that as well. I had two bridesmaids - one of which was going to be 8-months pregnant at the time of the wedding - and Jill helped us to pick out a style of dress that would look good on both of them. The dresses - both the wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses - were all reasonably priced as well.

They also pressed the dress before the wedding and will be cleaning it now that the wedding is over, all free of charge.

I also want to point out that they were so helpful and flexible with me showing up late to drop off my dress to be pressed. I live out of state, so after getting my final fitting done (in Maine) I was driving back to Massachusetts and dropping my dress off to Andrea's before they closed for the day. Due to traffic, and just it being a crazy day, I arrived at the shop 5 minutes after they closed for the day. They had already locked the doors, but let me in when I showed up - no complaints from the staff - and let me drop off the dress and pick up my veil.

I went to Andrea's a few weeks ago and had a great experience. I went with my mother and a few of my maids, searching for my dream dress. Jill met with us and immediately I felt comfortable. While I had a few dresses on my list, she was willing to pull some other dresses and cater towards my likes, dislikes, and even pull one to please my mother--which I appreciated and know she did, too. The first dress I tried on was the winner! Jill was so easy to work with and fun. My maids even commented on how great she was!

I am writing this review from the Groom's perspective. Watching my bride to be go through the dress shopping phase of planning our Wedding was so comforting once she discovered Andrea's Bridal. There was a mix-up in color shades with the bridal party dresses but Julia was completely professional and went out of her way to make sure my wife was satisfied and comforted. In a day with many businesses unfortunately not understanding customer service and the value of the customer is was so wonderful to have this experience. I work in the customer service industry and I applaud Julia for her high professionalism and business model.

Thank you for making our day special. My Wife was stunning in her dress!

Andrea's Bridal was beyond helpful in every way. I personally took an obscene amount of time to find a wedding dress and made many appointments with them. Every time I came in I had a different girl and each one was patient, considerate and helpful with all my questions and the many dresses I tried on. Eventually we narrowed it down and I found the perfect dress! If it hadn't been for their kind and understanding staff I would not have been able to make this choice and I am so grateful for their caring attitudes.

After going to multiple dress stores to find my dress, I made an appointment with Andrea's based upon the referral of a friend who had gone there before. I only wish it was the first place I went to because their dresses went outside the box, as I was looking for something more than just your run-of-the-mill strapless dress. I can't say enough good things about Andrea's Bridal. I really wanted to get my wedding dress in Maine, even though I got married in Charlottesville, VA, because my family is from Maine. With that, Andrea's bridal was the first store I went to. I was lucky enough to be matched to Ashley, who was the fantastic employee who not only understood me (even though I gave little detail!), but managed to pick out my dress with 1 try! Yes...I bought the first dress she pointed out and I tried on (and I'm a very calculated, non-spontaneous person!). I tried on a number of other dresses, but went right back to the first one. In addition, Ashley was just so great. She was so sweet and accommodating, and the business overall was just fantastic. Through every step - trying on the dress, purchasing the dress, suggesting where to get it altered, steaming, packaging, etc. - they were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Andrea's Bridal!

My consultant was so nice and comfortable to work with. I found a beautiful allure gown and ordered it. If was supposed to take 2+months but came in less than a month! Although my weight had not changed since my measurements were taken the dress was extremely tight. Fortunately I had plenty of time to exercise and diet and all worked our beautifully with the dress. I'm not sure if it was due to my body changing, each designer having different sizing, or measurement error but so thankful I had time. Overall had a great experience here.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at Andrea's.

I had originally popped by on my way home from work to make an appointment to get an idea of dress prices as I started what I thought would be an arduous search. On the day of the appointment, I showed up alone since my closest family and friends live out of state. I was positive, but not seriously thinking I would find what I was looking for on day one. That is when I met the lovely Ashley.

We hit it off immediately. She was bright, cheerful, and understood just what I was looking for. We wound up pulling four dresses. I fell smitten with the second dress. It was perfect. I stood there, looking into the mirror, making my final decision and it was a great and overwhelming feeling. Ashely looked at my reflection, then glanced around the empty room and blurted out, "Oh! I just want to be enough for you right now!" I think with anyone else it would have been a sort of bittersweet, standing in a wedding dress, in an empty store with a stranger. It was the opposite. Ashley was fabulous and made me feel at ease. Sure, nothing about the experience was how someone might dream up their dress fitting, but it was perfect for me. It was a quiet celebration between two happy people.

A few days later, my mom came up and we bought the dress after another fitting with Ashley. Mom cried and now we were three happy people. Weeks later, my Man-of-Honor came up and three happy people turned into four. Thank you Andrea's for spreading a lot of joy throughout my wedding experience and thank you Ashley for being an important person during that experience and for being plenty more than "enough."

Ashley at Andrea's Bridal made shopping for my wedding dress the experience that every girl dreams of! My family and I had the entire upper floor to ourselves. We were never rushed and Ashley listen to my budget and ideas of how I wanted to look on my wedding day. Every time that I came back into the shop, she knew me by name and was extremely welcoming. They recommended me to the best tailor ( MaryBeth in Richmond, ME) and pressed my entire dress (all 7 layers) at no extra charge.

I met with Jill and she was amazing!!! I had so much fun and tried 10-15 dresses. Number 2 was THE ONE! Jill was so patient and awesome. She let me try on all the dresses I wanted and made me feel like I was the only bride there. It was such a great experience. I feel like I could have chosen any of the dresses she showed me. I adore everyone that works at Andrea's Bridal!! I bought my wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses at Andreas. For my dress, Julia could not have been more amazing. She knew exactly what would look the best on me and it was perfect. My husband could not stop talking about how amazing the dress looked :-) For the bridesmaid dresses, they were very flexible and let us come in a couple times so my bridesmaids could try on the dress before we decided. They helped us pick a dress that looked gorgeous on everyone. The color was exactly what I was looking for too. All of the sales people are so knowledgeable about what is available from lengths to colors to how a certain designer fits. They're amazing!!

AMAZING experience. Everyone was beyond nice - no one rushed us or was pushy (like other places) and they understood was a special experience this was for me, as the bride, and my family. They are friendly, flexible, affordable and have any/all style of dress you're looking for. Have recommended them to all my friends and family because they have so much of a selection for brides (dress and accessories), bridesmaids, mother of the bride, flower girls, etc.

I worked with Julia - the owner - who was by far the best consultant I've worked with (and way better than anything you see on TV). She was so much fun and I know my experience wouldn't have been as wonderful without her.

Every time he listened, gave opinions, and DELIVERED! My wedding dress was the first one a tried on and I was skeptical, but Erica gave me time to think about it. I had to come back to the store because I had an appt elsewhere (glad I went, made my decision about the people and business a lot easier). She couldn't promise me that I would be able to try my dress on again, but I came back and she took the time to let me and i fell in love. The same went for everything else. The people are fantastic and the dresses are gorgeous. I would totally recommend this bridal shop to anyone in the area. It was convenient for me because I live in MA and my family in coastal Maine.

Andrea's was wonderful to work with. I had tried on several different dresses before going to Andrea's and Ashley listended to what I had found out in my prior experiences at other dress shops and the first dress she put me in was the one. I was beyond excited. Ashely truly is amazing...so happy and upbeat and you can tell she loves her job! She made my dress shopping experience perfect!

I had a pretty terrible experience at David's Bridal and another local store, and went into Andrea's Bridal with pretty low expectations. I just figured that I'd be a bride who didn't have the "This is the one!" moment. I couldn't have been more wrong. Julia actually LISTENED to me and brought me dresses to try on that fit the description I gave her- she stayed in my budget and was HONEST about how things looked and fit. When I had the "this is the one" moment, I almost cried. My dress was beautiful and during my entire wedding people complimented it. Everyone at Andrea's is kind and helpful, but working with Julia was especially great. So happy to have found my dress at a local store, too!!!! Means just that much more to me!!!

I went in looking for my wedding gown and was assisted by Erica. She was an absolute pleasure to work with...very courteous and professional. I fell in love with a dress on display which unfortunately was much to small for me to try on but Erica went above and beyond to be sure I could tell what it would look like. She had me try on a dress in the same style and held up the other dress in front of me as well. She even ran and grabbed a bridesmaid dress in my choice color as well. Although still nervous about not being able to actually try it on I went with my gut and told her to order it. The dress came in a few months later and WOW! It is perfect. Ashley (who was also wonderful) helped me try it on and assisted with choosing a veil to match. I cannot wait for everyone to see me on my wedding day and can't thank the amazing staff at Andrea's enough!!! If you are looking for individualized attention, honesty, and professionalism then this is most definitely the place to go!!!

My first experience looking for a dress was disappointing. So when I arrived with my mom to Andrea's - I had that experience that every girl dreams of. The choices of dresses seemed unlimited and Julie brought me every possible dress that she could have. I ended up with Maggie Sottero's "Geneva." I wish I could do it all over again.

The first time I went to Andrea's Bridal I didn't have an appointment. I was there with my Mom and MOH. They were remodeling and were taking appointments only. At first I was super bummed but Julia was amazing and let us look around upstairs at the dresses. While I couldn't try them on I saw the amazing quality and made the next available appointment. Every step of the way has been amazing! I recommended them to a bm and she just bought her dress there too. While I still have my final fitting and one last time to go into Andrea's I am more than confident about the great work they do and care they give to each bride!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Andrea's Bridal. I went to several bridal shops in Maine and New Hampshire looking for my wedding dress, from higher end shops down to the big box chain store. I was looking for something unique without spending thousands of dollars (I wanted a dress that was silver--not white or ivory!), and most other stores flat out didn't give me any options. One store showed me one dress that they could order in silver, every other store (I went to a total of 6 places) told me that they didn't have anything like what I wanted and tried to convince me that I should just go with white. One consultant even laughed at my request and had me try on a bunch of dresses that were the exact opposite of what I wanted. Andrea's was not only highly professional, but I was able to try on several dresses that I could order in silver or other colors. I never felt rushed any of the times I was in, and it felt like I was actually cared for as a person, rather than as just another sale. I wasn't pushed to try on dresses that I hated or to spend outside of my budget. The consultants and the owner were all excited to help me find my dress. They special ordered in a sample dress for me to try on that they didn't have in stock that I had seen online and was in love with. I ended up ordering the dress in silver, after trying it on in ivory, and it is absolutely gorgeous--much more beautiful to me than the ivory version. I cannot wait to wear this dress when I get married this summer! I would highly recommend Andrea's Bridal to anyone!

There are no words to describe how amazing this place is. The staff exceeds any expectations you have, they are not only extremely knowledgeable on every dress in the store they treat you like you are family and make sure you have everything you could ever dream in a dress. They are beyond patient and don’t make you feel rushed or push you into making a decision. The dresses here are beautiful and there is a wide variety of styles so you don’t get the same cookie cutter dress one after the other. Everyone in Maine needs to go to Andrea’s Bridal for their wedding, bridesmaid, and mother’s dresses, you will be forever grateful

I can not say enough about Julia and her amazing team at Andrea's Bridal. Dress shopping was actually something I was NOT looking forward to so I emailed Julia ahead of time and let her know what I was looking for. She was so responsive and helpful that I actually was looking forward to dress shopping by the time of my appointment. Julia is a true professional- she put me at ease immediately. My dress was gorgeous and affordable. My bridesmaids also picked their dresses there which were gorgeous and affordable and I really enjoyed going in to pick them up each time a new one came in because the staff really are so excited for the brides that it just lifts you up to go in and chat with them. Also it was extremely helpful that they have evening hours on Thursdays so that I didn't have to rearrange my work schedule to get there. I could go on and on about Andrea's. I will really miss the staff there and am hoping for excuses to visit in the future!

I worked with Ashley to find my perfect wedding dress. Ashley knew exactly what I was looking for and quickly became very comfortable with me, my mom, and the rest of my wedding party. She was funny, friendly, and able to answers any questions I had regarding my attire. Our experience with her was very personal and it was so nice to have someone who knew me and remembered my preferences during the process.

As for the dress, I fell in love with it at first sight. The quality of the dress was amazing and the price very reasonable. Once I stepped into the dresses at Andrea's, I couldn't look anywhere else because they just didn't compare.

I found a picture online of a beautiful gown that I loved but was completely out of my price range. After explaining that I had convinced my fiancee that I could find a dress I loved for less than $500 they told me about a sample sale they were having. The business had just changed hands and they were getting rid of all of their old samples. Knowing that I was on a budget, it was a very nice gesture that they offered. Of course, a sample sale was complete and utter chaos and my shopping anxiety certainly got the best of me, but my maid of honor talked me into buying the PERFECT Maggie Sottero at a whopping 70% off. I thought it was so kind and so amazing of them to inform me of their one day sale- as opposed to trying to force me into a dress that I would fall in love with and wouldn't be able to afford. The old owner used to rip tags, so unfortunately I had a name brand gown that had taken a sufficient hit in value. When I called them and asked about the tags they told me that they didn't have any of the tags left but they were happy to offer me a Maggie Sottero certificate of authenticity. I love, love, love my Elaine by Maggie- and my husband loved it, too. They were spectacular to work with.

Andrea's Bridal was fantastic to me! Ashley was the salesgirl that I worked with through the whole process. She knew exactly what I was looking for and every dress I tried on just got better and better. She saved the best for last and it was the one. I absolutely loved her! If I ever needed to come by without an appointment, they were always helpful and accommodating with my requests. My two bridesmaids and flower girls dresses also came from Andrea's and the process of picking them out and getting them in was a piece of cake. My own dress came in quickly and they called me right away to let me come in for the fitting. They dropped off and picked up my dress from the tailor across the street, and had it steamed and waiting for me the day before my wedding. They gave me great instruction on how to handle the dress so it wouldn't wrinkle etc. I highly recommend them to everyone. One of my best friends got her dress from their shortly after I got married. I went with her to her appointments and they treated her wonderfully as well.
Thank you Ashley and everyone else at Andrea's for helping me find the dress of my dreams!

I find it hard to image anyone having anything but great things to say about Julia and the staff at Andrea's Bridal. In contrast with a lot of other bridal shops out there, Julia and her team are incredibly friendly, work really hard to help cater to the individual customer, and provide excellent customer service in a low-key yet very professional way. Julia was so in tune with my description of what I was looking for, and responsive to my reactions to each dress, that we found the perfect gown within an hour. We also ended up buying the Mother of the Bride, bridesmaids and flower girl dresses there, which were very reasonably priced but gorgeous. Julia does an amazing job of remaining friendly, respectful, and maintaining grace despite the sometimes less than professional behavior of other customers in the shop (and in my case a somewhat high maintenance bridesmaid). She may have some young staff (I'm assuming these are the staff who the woman from an earlier review unfairly referred to as "high schoolers"), but they are incredibly professional and friendly and were always very helpful to me and my bridal party. Ashley in particular was a great help. I had complete confidence in knowing Julia and Ashley had everything taken care of, and they did a great job with everything. Julia does a great job and really cares about providing customers with great options at all different price points, and providing each customer with a positive and memorable dress shopping experience. I could not more highly recommend Julia and the staff at Andrea's Bridal! Whether you're from Portland area or not (I am from Boston and the distance was well worth it), you really can't go wrong with Andrea's Bridal. Thank you Julia!!

Amazing customer service, a beautiful selection, and a gown in every price range. I loved being able to go there, pick out the perfect dress, have it tailored by a seamstress through them, and then have it pressed and ready to go just in time!! I actually chose my bridal dress at another location as I was looking for something more unique and natural. I chose this vendor as they offered the Alfred Angelo line. I had all of my bridesmaids choose whatever dress style they wanted that looked good with their body style, as long as they got it in my wedding colors - lettuce green with a robin's egg blue sash. My wedding colors were natural - ivory white, light green, and light blue. Andrea offered so many options in the Alfred Angelo line that the bridesmaids were all able to try on several different styles until they found the style that fit them. Once they placed the orders, Andrea's would say that the dress would be in in about a month, but then arrive only two weeks later. Andrea's staff did a great job - they were very friendly and helpful in grabbing different dresses after my bridesmaids tried to explain the style they were looking for. (i.e. One had large breasts, so she wanted a strap around the neck, and not a strapless dress). Andrea's also was very reasonably-priced and I am so satisfied with them. All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful! Thank you, Andrea's!

I had a great experience at Andrea's Bridal and would definitely recommend it to other brides. I was not looking for the mall experience and knew right away that a place like Andrea's had the small and personable environment (without being snobby) I was looking for. The first time I went in to the store, I didn't have an appt and just wanted to get a feel for what was out there. I knew that I wanted a more simple bridesmaids dress for me, and I only had 2 months, and Julia, the owner, welcomed me and asked me what I was looking for. Since she was working with a customer, she told me to feel free to try on dresses myself, but that they could definitely find something in the time I had, and I could make an appt to come back.

I worked primarily with Ashley, but Julia remembered me each time I went in and knew where I was at each step in the process. I had a little trouble with the sizing (my dress ended up being too small and needed to be taken out about 3 inches, and my petticoat was also too small and it took 3 orders before I finally got the right one), and at the end, Julia didn't charge me for the final repeat shipping cost that I would have had to pay.

These ladies were fantastic!! I was one of the new brides to come in after it was bought by a new owner, Julie.

I had the best experience going there. I had been to David's bridal many times before for other friends weddings, and it was never really a good experience. But at Andrea's Bridal, it was personable, they spend as much time on you as you need. Everything I order always came in early. They gave me great suggestions on where to buy shoes and have them dyed through them, those came out phenomenal!

My dress was gorgeous and resonably priced. They even accommodated my HUGE entourage that came with me to pick out my final dress. They reccommended a seamstress who was also great to work with.

I can't say enough good things about them, if I ever have to get married again, I'm sooo going back there ;) I just wish I had more people that lived near here to reccommend them to Andrea's Bridal

I had my wedding in Maine, but had moved out of state to New York 6 months before the wedding occurred. I needed to find someone to press my wedding dress when I got back to Maine for the wedding, and called Andrea's because I had had a very good experience trying gowns on in their store (I did not buy the dress from Andrea's, though).

I was arriving the Wednesday before the wedding, and Henrietta, who I spoke with about this about a month in advance, said that she could have the dress ready by Friday afternoon if I dropped it off by Thursday afternoon. When I got there on Wednesday around noon, they told me I'd need to pay a rush fee, but as soon as I said Henrietta hadn't indicated that was the case, they agreed and did not charge me the rush fee.

Friday morning, I called to let them know that my maid of honor would pick up the dress, and they told me that the dress had already been pressed and I could pick it up then! I was in town having my nails done, so I went over, picked it up, and they had done a beautiful job.

Julia was just amazing. I had a dress in mind and they didn't have it. She had a dress that was very similiar but had one strap instead of strapless. I loved it right away. She also help me with all the assosories. I would highly recommend this place to new brides.

I looked everywhere for a dress, and I finally found THE ONE at Andrea's bridal. They spent so much time with me, trying on dresses and actually TIEING ALL THE LACES and what not so that I could see how it would really look. They even called me to ensure that everything was fine. They even did a special order for me. It's a great boutique and you get very personal service!

I had the best experience buying my wedding dress at Andreas. The consultant that I first worked with was great, she pulled dresses that exactly matched the style that I requested and I ended up finding the PERFECT dress early in the process. The shop changed ownership a couple months later and the service remained excellent. The girls at Andrea's helped me find an amazing seamstress, pick out the perfect bridesmaid dresses, and I was able to purchase ALL my accessories here as well (shoes, flower for my hair, veil, spanx, you name it!)
I had been to other Bridal shops in Maine & NH but they were either too crowded or too snotty. Andrea's made me feel absolutely comfortable and best of all, it was compeletely affordable ;-)

I couldn't have been happier. The service was top notch. The selection was huge. I had been to several bridal shops prior and felt that I was treated like cattle. I had 90 minutes of one on one consultation. They had some higher end dresses but they also had ones that were very reasonably priced. Overall a great store.

I bought my gown and all of my bridesmaids gowns at Andrea's and had a wonderful experience. My gown was stunning. It was pricey, but was a beautiful top quality gown, you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to bridal. I had also visited 2 other stores, Pat Buck and Davids. Pat Buck was filthy and I would not purchase anything there. Davids had cheap gowns that felt like plastic.

Andrea's is a beautiful store with helpful professional staff and prices that are equal to the quality, so not the cheapest, but who wants cheap for your special day? I also had top quality service from the seamstress and all the staff there, especially the owner of the store. I would highly reccomend Andrea's Brial to anyone, I felt like a Queen!!!

Andrea's Bridal was amazing. I visited years ago as my MOH got her wedding dress there and I remembered it being a great experience so it was my first choice when looking for a dress. It's still early on in the planning for me and I went in having no idea of what I wanted. I gave Julia a few ideas and let her guide me into what she thought would fit my body type the best. After all, they are the experts. I must say I ended up with a strapless dress which I never thought would happen but I trusted her guidance and it paid off! All of the dresses were gorgeous but this one was it. I wasn't expecting to find a dress the first day out, let alone buy one. Julia made me feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process. It felt like we were old friends and I can't thank her enough for her guidance. She went above and beyond to help me find the dress. My wedding party and both moms will be getting their dresses here. I can't rave enough about what a positive experience it was all around. Thank you Julia! Thank you Andreas!
