Wedding invitations

My daughter and I chose Anderson's because we wanted a traditional store..we wanted to sit and physically look at all the choices..we were offered many suggestions,and ideas that kept within our budget and plans..the day my daughter and I sat together and looked through the books choosing the invites was the start of it all! This store has great experience and great kindness..loved it

Amazing work!

My friend got her invitations from Andersen's so when it came time to getting my invitations she highly recommended them. I am glad I went with Andersen's. They helped me out in selecting the perfect invitations. The detailed work put into the invitations beats any online invitation. Yes of course it is pricier but when your having a wedding you should prefer quality over quantity.

I was absolutely thrilled with Andersen's!!! Where else can you go and have an expert guide you thru tons of choices of wedding invitations?!? They were so great, and had so much to choose from! I was able to look thru styles, and papers, and colors, and specialized stamps, etc! So much better than "guessing" online! Dawn and Dave were so patient and friendly, and helped us thru every detail of the process! Truly amazing and I highly highly recommend! And we had our gorgeous invites in hand in less than a week!!! Could not have asked for more!! Thank you!!!

Dawn and David are wonderful people. We found them on wedding-wire when we had a hard time figuring out invitations online. They were very welcoming and helpful when we went to them. They had a wide variety of options and helped add other notes we needed to have in our invitations. David gave us wonderful advice on what to do and not to do and Dawn was amazing with hep for the design. Dawn was very patient with me through our proof process as I went back and forth on wording. She would sent proofs after each change and wouldn't do anything until our verbal confirmation. We received our invitations in 2 weeks and loved them. Dawn even took the time to add a sample stuffed invitation so we knew how to stuff them to make them perfect. Since mailing them out, we have had wonderful feedback from our family and friends on how beautiful they were. I highly recommend them, they put my mind at ease. It is very hard to picture your invitation as a whole let alone picking what type of paper to use, envelopes, and how to organize your RSVP & accommodation cards when you try to design them online. Andersen's came to the rescue and did a beautiful job! After a mishap with our first high-quality printer we had little time to get a printer who would do a great job and fast. Our invitation included an item that had to be designed and engraved. The die was made quickly from the design while the invitations were printing, and the taking of the order, proofs, printing, engraving took less than a week. Dawn and Dave were both very helpful, and very professional and worked with us through the process. Their experience and knowledge was invaluable. Despite the rush nature of the job the price was very reasonable. The invitations are beautiful, elegant, and the engraved is item perfect (delicate). We are very happy and will refer Andersen's to others, and use them again ourselves.

Andersen's in Elgin was fantastic! I considered an online printing service but am glad I supported this small, family-owned business. Dawn, the owner's wife, is the wedding expert. She spent hours with me looking through the (many) vendor books, explaining pricing, and making recommendations for how to arrange the information. She was very responsive when sending the mock-ups and making small changes that I requested (same day responses during the week). The invitations were printed so quickly, and every detail was accurate as I requested. I had a great experience with Andersen's. It's a charming little shop that doesn't have the "pomp" of today's wedding industry but they carry classy products, and the owners are very dedicated to making customers happy. The price was a great value for the quality and number of invitations I needed, and Dawn provided an additional 25 invitations for free.

We had a lovely experience and found the perfect invitations for our style! We were interested in extras for the reception such as personalized coasters. They found exactly what we wanted. We even got our cake serving set engraved with them.

Working with Andersen's was the best decision we could have made! My last minute change of bumping our date up by a few months meant that we needed invitations ASAP, and Andersen's delivered! Walking into the store, Dave was incredibly kind, helped us sort through hundreds of different invitations to find not only the perfect ones for our budget, but also for us! They were quick and responsive when we called and asked questions, as well as incredibly accommodating and I felt as though they truly had our best interests at heart. If you're in the Chicago area, seriously go support this wonderful family business and enjoy the most beautiful invitations out there!

I would recommend Andersen's to anyone! Dawn was very helpful in my search for wedding invitations. She went above and beyond to find me invitations in my "not so common" color. The service was exceptional and my invitations were perfect! My entire invitation suite was also very affordable. Ordering invitations was so easy, I'm so glad I found Andersen's. Dawn and David were such a pleasure to work with, I'm so thankful for their help in making that part of wedding planning so easy.

I originally thought I'd make my invitations myself. Andersen's is right in my neighborhood, so I stopped by one day just to look. So glad I did! Dawn ended up designing some beautiful invitations for me and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Dawn and her husband were so nice and friendly and offered great service and great prices. Would recommend them to any bride in the area.

Andersen's helped me in my selection of invitations and the overall process was great. Our invitations arrived earlier than expected and they were just what we were hoping for. I will definately use Andersen's again when I need invitations for other events!

I was frustrated trying to order invitations online and a friend recommended Andersen's to me because her friend had just ordered invitations there and was very happy. I was also pushing the envelope on the time frame that I ordered my invitations and was nervous about how long they would take to come in. My invitations came in less than a week!! I ordered them on Saturday and Andersen's emailed me on Thursday to say they arrived! They turned out beautiful and I am very satisfied. I appreciated the personal attention, they had an expansive selection and they were very helpful! I plan on going back to order my Bridesmaids gifts.

When my fiancée and I began looking for invitations we began looking online just like every other couple of our generation would do. We quickly found that it was extremely difficult to fully envision what the perfect invitation would look like in person and exactly how it may feel to the touch. After a month of diliberating I began to search for printing shops in the area. It was at that time I located a small shop in downtown Elgin, owned by Dave and Dawn Andersen. Right from the get go I could not have been more happy with the service they provided. Dave was there to greet us and walk us through hundreds of invitations while letting us play with different paper stocks and colors. After a few visits we were able to nail down exactly the type of invitation we were looking for. Dave and Dawn made the process so simple and were very attentive when capturing our order as we decided which paper, color, pocket, and font. The proofs were sent back to us within a few days and the invitations were in shop a little over a week later. Dave and Dawn kept their shop open after hours as we debated on many options throughout the process. Their flexibility was most comforting as this process can be very difficult with all the decisions that need to be made. I highly recommend skipping online orders and heading to Andersen's to have your wedding invitations done. They value their customers and deserve your business. Very professional.

Would recommend Anderson's to everyone... David and Dawn were extremely helpful, very fast and really help me understand what needed to be on the invitations. We happen to just stumble across them while walking around in downtown Elgin and I am so thankful for that. The quality was exceptional!

I am elated and pleased we chose Andersen's for our wedding invitations! Initially, we were going to use an online service, but at the last minute my mother came across Andersen's during one final internet search. After looking through hundreds of wedding invitations online, something was still not sitting right and we just had not found "the one." In addition, not having the opportunity to see the invitations in person did not help with our quest to find the perfect invite for our big day. We decided to visit the store on a Saturday, and as usual, my mother and I were running a little late. Dawn and David gladly made themselves available and were happy to stay open later so we had the time to look through the invitations. They truly care about their customers and work with you until you find the perfect invitation for your special day. They have many books available to look through with a wide range of styles and pricing. In addition, it was very beneficial to see the invitations in person. The quality and value of my invitations surpassed my expectations especially for the price! I have received many compliments from my guests as well. When looking online at the particular invites that peaked my interest, I would have only received the invitations, response cards, and standard envelopes for the price I paid at Andersen's, which included the invitation itself, the details card, response card and envelope, inner and outer envelopes, return address labeling, place cards, and thank you notes. For those of you who are also on the quest to find the perfect invite, I know you can appreciate this! I would absolutely recommend Andersen's to my family and friends. I am so happy my mother decided to do one last search on the internet! I am very grateful to Andersen's for helping me find one of the most important details for our special day.

Anderson's is the BEST chocolatier in the area. The quality is outstanding and can not be beat. Customer service was fantastic; they opened early so I could get my order as fresh as possible. I am using them for the shower and the wedding. They are also a must for Easter and other holidays!!! The molasses chip is crazy delicious!

Andersen's was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding invitations! They had HUNDREDS of invitations to choose from, and they were very helpful with suggestions when it came to working within my budget. They stayed open late for us to go through many of the invitations and styles in their store. The invitation we selected I found on their online website and they helped me set the order easily! This worked out well because we wanted unique "Mad Lib" RSVPs for our guests! Both Dawn and David were great with making adjustments on the RSVP cards based on the proofs we received. The invitations were ready in 6 days (which was less than the 7-10 days we we're anticipating)! The invitations were perfectly packaged when I picked them up the next day. I would definitely recommend Andersen's for anyone looking for place that is friendly, flexible, and easy to work with!

i was so happy to find this little shop right by my house. We has our save the dates made and all my family and friends loved them! our save the dates came in with the writing a little off center which really bugged me...I emailed mr Andersen Friday morning and he had a brand new box of our revised invites at his store by Saturday! will definately be going back shortly for shower and wedding invites!

dave anderson and his wife go over an above any order you give them. I love that they have been in business when daves daddy originally openned the business I ordered my wedding invitations from them back in 1976 and i believe to give locals all my business. anything that comes up i think of dave and andersons. i wish more people would give our local merchants the chance and find that they are willing and able to go over and above any job you put in front of them and this is dave, his family and business

David and his wife were very attentive in helping me find the perfect invitation. They followed through on completing the order promptly, and although there was a 'snafou' with the delivery of the invitations from the printer to them, they took care of it right away and made sure I was satisfied. Businesses like the Andersons' are hard to find anymore, but I'm glad I found them! :)

My mother found this cute place and we drove out to Elgin together to see Mr. Andersen. While I was there looking through his books he make me a flash drive with my husband and my name inscribed on it. I thought that was very thoughtful. He sat with us when we had questions and then would let us go about looking over things again. He never pressured us to buy anything. Once I found the invite I wanted he went over all kinds of helpful hints I should use when sending them out. He was a pleasure to work with! He has a huge selection! You will not be disappointed!

We cannot begin to express our thanks to the Andersens for helping us choose the invitations for our daughter Betsy's wedding. They treated us like we were their only customer the day we were in the shop. Their undivided attention made us feel very comfortable as we "walked" through the process. We greatly appreciated their ideas which come from their wealth of knowledge in weddings. I also appreciated their kindness and patience. The invitations are beautiful and perfect. We have received many compliments. I will be recommending the Andersens to all who ask. Thank you very much!

I loved the experience of working with this family-owned business. The invitations looked great and my fiance and I were both happy with the service and the expediency of getting the invites back. They were a huge help and a joy to work with :)

The Andersens were very helpful! They had great advice regarding wording, gifts, everything! They are more than happy to work with you to ensure everything you receive is just the way you want it. My parents and some of my fiance's family have gotten their invites done here as well. We all love the invites Andersens got for us!!!

We LOVED Andersons!!!! Dave and his wife are SOOO helpful. He gave us the best advice when it came to wording and detail of our invitations. He was sooo honest too. He wasnt out just for the money, let you know what you truely need. We will definitely go back in the future

Andersen's was very friendly, helpful, and professional when helping me to select and order my invitations. The price was also very reasonable after some comparison shopping. The shop is pretty small, but they have a huge selection. I was happy with my experience and would recommend them to any future bride. They've been in the business for a long time and know what they're doing!

There are so many decisions to make when planning a wedding, with choosing invitations one of the most confusing and stressful. From the moment we walked into the front door of the Andersen's shop, we knew we had found the right place. Their calm guidance helped us to choose invitations that coordinated with our budget and theme, and the finished product was beautiful. Mrs. Andersen refers to her customers as "my brides" .... I am thrilled to be one of them !

We got our wedding invitations through Andersen's and had a great experience. They were extremely welcoming, friendly, and had a ton of options. We've had so many compliments after sending them out on the look and quality of our invitations - our guests were definitely impressed. The only small thing I would say is to definitely review your proof extremely carefully. There was an extra space between two words in our invitations that went unnoticed (by us as well!) until they were printed and in hand. Not a big deal, and they still look beautiful (I think I am the only one who noticed)! But, if you're detail oriented, just ensure to look them over carefully before approving.

Anderson's is a small family fun company that has been making invitations for decades (and it shows)! At Anderson's we interaction with the husband and wife that own the place - they were super helpful in pointing us in the right direction on types of inviations and then helped to ensure the wording / details were perfect. They also were very reasonably priced vs. the other vendors we looked at (they're running a 25% of inviations for 2014). The place is a bit far but well worth the visit!

I liked that the owner spend time with me locating what I wanted and told me some helpful pointers upon receipt of the invites.

They were very accommodating. Some of the invitation options were a little outdated, but they did everything they could to help me take different parts to make a custom invitation. The invitations took about a month to approve and receive. the quality is great, but a little pricey.

Great quality product, helped us customize our invitation suite design, and had them finished in about a week. Well worth the money (can be less than online companies)!
