Our wedding ceremony was everything we dreamed of—beautiful, spiritual, and truly moving. We were all brought to tears by the incredible experience. Juan and his family went above and beyond to make our ceremony even more special, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Ruby was a dream to work with. From start to finish, she was so communicative and made the entire process of planning a wedding from the US incredibly easy. Her support was invaluable!
The ceremony took place at the stunning Cenote Teresita, a picturesque location that took our breath away. The tribe’s attire was also beautifully coordinated, adding such a magical touch to the whole event.
We highly recommend them for any event—you won’t be disappointed. This will be a memory we cherish forever. Wishing you and your family all the best in everything you do!

Juan and his family were truly incredible!! I expected it to be beautiful but it went above and beyond my expectations!!!
Last minute our site was overbooked and Juan immediately found us several other locations. To be honest, I think the new location was even better and we got a partial refund.
The ceremony was so special and original. I love how it incorporated the elements and the surrounding area. It was really just INCREDIBLE!!!!
If you’re on the fence, look no further!! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!! You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!
Also, worth mentioning is that they recommend a really incredible photographer as well. Hernan MagicalArt Photography..

Mexico held a special place in our relationship. We knew we wanted to get married here. Neither one of us are apart of a religion. We wanted something meaningful and unique. We wanted this to be about US, Our relation, Our journey. When I found this, I was very excited. It was us. It was absolutely amazing. We truly felt a connection with each other. We did our legal paperwork in the US. Just had a guy sign the paperwork, but this, this was our wedding. Although we did not do this for the wow factor, every single person who was with us and saw our video and pictures were amazed. Magical fantastical ceremony
The ceremony was everything and more! It was exactly what we were looking for. The shaman and his family were welcoming and created such a sacred space for us to share our love. There’s no other way to describe this day other than the best day of our lives . Truly a once in a lifetime, unique experience. Magical experience
Attended for a love blessing as 3 couples. The shaman was so wise and so enlighted we felt this amazing energy in his presence. I couldnt stop my tears when he was performing the ritual. Never ever expected this kind of feelings and it was the best thing we did. Even if we were already married and the kids have 2 babies. It was so nice to get blessing from him. The ruins where the ceremony took place was out of this world so spiritual. I recommend to ppeveryone who considers this. You will never regret it. -

Juan, Anita, and the entire Ancestral family were all incredible and we couldn't be any happier for having found them to officiate our wedding. They made our wedding ceremony one to remember and to talk about for many years to come. Some of our guests said they will never attend another wedding and enjoy it after being part of ours, and our friends and family that weren't present but have seen the video have all been left speechless. Abuelo Juan el indio, with his words helped to create a spiritual bond between me and my wife that means a lot to us. The whole ceremony was magical and we will forever be grateful to the Ancestral family. Juan and Anita were so amazing and they helped me and my wife remain calm even though we had to postpone the wedding a full year because of the pandemic. They were always very quick to reply to any message we sent them and answered all of our questions very promptly. They went above and beyond and exceeded all of our expectations. You won’t regret it
I stumbled on a random video of them on tiktok and I just knew I had do get ahold of them. I communicated with Anita and she was so sweet and kind she always replied quick and answered all of my questions. I had so many and she was very patient with me .
Now the actual ceremony I met the wonderful family that performed it and they just took my breath away. They were full of life and love and I felt so welcomed. Especially Juan he just had this positive energy to him. I truly believed with all of my heart all of his wise and kind words.
There was this energy that every time I looked at my husband I just want to hug and kiss him. Idk if it was the dancing or the drums I just felt …love. I know sounds a little too good to be true ? You just have to experience it ! It’s a unique and once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you . -

I celebrated my bachelorette party with these beautiful people! My fiancee and I are deeply spiritual people, and this wonderful ceremony was fitting. Instead of drinking the night away, I wanted to have an intimate and wonderful experience with my most trusted ladies. Anita and her family welcomed us with open arms and open hearts. They taught me about my roots, and I happily danced and laughed with all of them. There were tears in my eyes and joy in my heart. Afterward, my sisters and I enjoyed the cenote for the rest of the day! We truly connected with nature, and our bond was strengthened. If you truly want an intimate and spiritual experience with yourself and you loved ones. I highly recommend Anitia and her family. There should be more people like them in this world. My husband passed away in my arms in February 2021. He was my best friend, my soulmate, the father of my child and my partner in crime.

Magical Elopement
Ancestral made our special day so beautifully unique. My husband and I were originally going to have our Mayan ceremony on the beach, but due to sargassum they closed the beach access. Ana, coordinator from Ancestral, was completely honest and helpful from the start and they let us have our ceremony at a private cenote instead. And we are soooo happy that worked out and honestly it was way better than the beach in our opinion! We were practically speechless when we walked down the copal burning aisle and into our sacred circle. The location was beautiful, quiet, all you heard were the birds, and the prehispanic instruments playing. So very grounding. We feel so fortunate to be a part of this sacred ceremony, it was everything and more than what we asked for! Juan; El Indio had such kind and inspiring words for us. Beyond meaningful ceremony
We decided to elope in Tulum Sept, 2020. No guests, just a photographer. It's during the pandemic, so unfortunately no one was able to travel. We were honored to have been married by Juan & Anita's family and they made our wedding ceremony more special, meaningful and beautiful than we ever could have imagined!
Anita, was super responsive and walked us through the entire process, from choosing and reserving a cenote, to which level package would work best for us. Juan is the Father & Shaman and the just plain inspirational! All of the boys are warriors and the oldest daughter is the spiritual medicine woman.
I don't want to give away too much of what happens in the ceremony, but I can promise, if you are a spiritually inclined couple looking to make your wedding ceremony that much more special and meaningful, you will not be disappointed.Ancestral Mayan Weddings's reply:

Temezcal and Wedding Ceremony
We wanted a mixture of a traditional wedding and shamanic mayan wedding to honor the land of our ceremony. We did a Temezcal Ceremony with Juan and his beautiful wife Anita and their team the day before our wedding ceremony. Our officiant joined us as well. This ceremony in the jungle was perfect. Juan and Anita both have such pure spirits. They then joined us for our beach wedding ceremony the day after. Their whole team collaborated with our officiant to incorporate both worlds.... and let me tell you, it turned out beautifully. I can not recommend them enough. I find that it’s so important that we work with facilitators that are pure and in integrity, which both of them are. Fue maravilloso desde que empezamos a cotizar fueron muy amables ,confiables y atentos Yo soy de Ecuador y me daba mucho temor hacer cosas a distancia, Pero ellos fueron súper atentos conmigo , siempre contestaban mis dudas en el momento que sea, nunca se olvidaban de mi me me llenaban de paz solo por mensajes si me preocupaba algo les escribía y enseguida contestaban mis inquietudes, estuvieron ahí al pie de la batalla que eran los nervios de mi boda me dieron mucha confianza, fueron muy honestos.... You can do and have everything you want!
The ceremony was memorable: Indio is the most accommodating! Since I contacted him, I got a quick response and a very kind treatment.
I expressed my ideas about what I wanted in my event and I also received some advice that helped improve the idea I gave.
The ceremony was held on the beach of Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo (at my request); Indio respected every detail planned and the ceremony was beautiful: my family, friends and other guests enjoyed it as did my husband and me.
