They did a great job playing for our wedding! Sherry was very responsive and helpful when booking them. We were able to pick which songs we wanted to be played. We chose a string duo. They also have demos on their website of many of the songs. There are classical and contemporary songs to choose from. The music was very beautiful! I definitely recommend them! -

We hired a string trio from An Elegant touch of strings for our wedding earlier this week at the Brazilian Room. They did exactly what we had asked, and the ceremony was beautiful. We've already received many compliments about our ceremony music! Thank you for helping make our ceremony magical! -

We were so incredibly lucky to come across Sherry and An Elegant Touch of Strings for our wedding ceremony at SF City Hall. Since it is a government building, there are tons of guidelines to follow and specific instructions for the musicians. We were so fortunate to have Sherry and her talented team who regularly work at city hall and knew exactly what to expect. From the first time we reached out to her, Sherry worked with us to ensure all of the songs we wanted to play would be available and provided reasonable rates for any songs beyond their repertoire that we requested. On the day of the wedding, the musicians were absolutely incredible. They sounded fantastic and played all of the music we asked for - our guests were so impressed with how they sounded and how well they covered our songs. We could not thank them enough after the ceremony was over, and they were so kind, gracious and professional. From the list of vendors provided to us by City Hall, An Elegant Touch of Strings stuck out to us and we are forever grateful that they worked with us for our special day! -

I highly recommend Sherry and her team! She is professional, easy-going and a joy to work with. My husband and I are both musicians and so music was an important part of our wedding. We loved how large the quartet’s repertoire is - for our pre-ceremony music, we were able to include a plethora of our favorite songs from classical pieces to hymns to movie soundtracks - all from their existing repertoire! We also had Sherry work with our Maid of Honor to arrange a custom string accompaniment to “When I Say I Do” by Matthew West, which my MOH sang during the ceremony. It turned out beautifully and will be one of my most treasured memories from that special day. Thank you, Sherry! -

Early on in the wedding planning process we decided to have live strings at our ceremony. I researched many other strings vendors in the Bay Area and Elegant Touch of Strings were by far the most reasonably priced for the quality you get. It was so easy to communicate with Sherry (and as an anxious bride I really appreciated the super timely responses!) We had an incredibly wide selection of songs to choose from (both classic and modern) and you can easily see/preview them on their website. We went with a string trio for our outdoor 115 person wedding and the sound was divine! So thankful the guests had beautiful music to listen to while they waited for the ceremony to start. My bridal party walked down to them playing "Make You Feel My Love" and I walked down to "Halo" - they had such beautiful renditions and it definitely set the tone for all the tears during the ceremony! I received countless compliments from our guests young and old and they were even more shocked when I told them that they were far from the expensive price they were guessing. We highly recommend Elegant Touch of Strings! Book with them and you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you Sherry and your team for making our wedding day so special and memorable! -

Sherry and her team and just amazing. Working with her was just so easy. Her music was so beautiful and made our day just perfect. John and I had a cello and violin for our special day and her team just made our day beautiful. We were able to select our own songs which made our day even more special. Would not recommend anyone else but Sherry and her team -

Meridith Sent on 04/04/2017Oh my gosh the music was beautiful! We had a solo violinst play our ceremony music. Sherry was great. I let her pick the music to play while guest were coming and leaving. I didn't see the songs that I wanted for the bridal party processional or the recessional music but I just emailed her asking if she was able to play them and she write away wrote back yes! Well worth the money. -

Monalisa Sent on 09/30/2013Our September 14th,2013 wedding at The Palm Event Center in Pleasanton was beautiful and romantic! The string quartet added that extra elegant touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony was a tear jerker with the string quartet playing some of our favorite songs. As The doors opened and I walked down the aisle, guests gasped as the song added that drama and romance we wanted them to feel. The cocktail hour was fun and played more contemporary songs. Sherry and her group were beyond wonderful! Even if songs were not in their usual repertoire, they were very accommodating in learning the songs. There was never any hesitation on answering questions or provide you information you may need. Thank you Sherry and An Elegant Touch of Strings! Job well done! -

Sherry was very professional and easy to work with. Her responses were super quick and detailed. She arrived early and the music was beautiful. We only had one violin as we had an intimate backyard wedding and the music really added a lot to the environment. I highly recommend Sherry as she made the experience enjoyable and was so easy to communicate with. We especially loved all the demos that were on the site so we could listen to the songs before selecting the songs. -

Brides, if you care at all about the moment that you walk down the aisle and all its importance, please do NOT hire An Elegant Touch of Strings. They ruined mine - a moment that meant so much to me, one I had envisioned since I was a little girl and one I will never get a do over for.
Things will not go exactly as planned at your wedding, but this is a moment that you want right and should be relatively easy to ensure goes as planned.
I will never forget standing outside my ceremony venue with my father waiting for our entrance when I heard them play my song (a song that was so deliberately chosen for my entrance with my father). Despite having filled out all their paperwork and clearly outlining who in the wedding party would be entering and in what order, they played my entrance song when my dog came down the aisle. You read that right. They played the song clearly outlined as the entrance for the bride for my dog.
After a few seconds, they realized their mistake, stopped abruptly and went back to the plan that was so clearly outlined and discussed weeks before the event. I could not believe it. Neither could guests. After the wedding, a few of my friends shared that on top of this epic mistake, they had many starts and stops during the seating of the guests. One of my friends felt awful confessing “the strings seemed very confused.”
After the wedding I reached out to them about this. To make matters worse, I received an unbelievably rude response, refusing to take accountability for their mistake. Their response was that they thought the person walking my dog down the aisle was me because she was wearing a white dress. To be clear, she was wearing a blush dress and had a dog on a leash. I was wearing a giant white ballgown and had my father on my arm.
An Elegant Touch of Strings ruined one of the most anticipated and important moments of my wedding - a moment that I can never redo - and refused to take accountability for it. They were an epic mistake I hope no future brides makes.
