My husband and I knew from the beginning that we wanted to hire a wedding planner to make the process smoother since we both worked full time, live in Virginia and were planning a wedding in New Jersey. Eileen was our first of 5 planner interviews and we loved how reassuring she was and her maternal nature. She felt like the most natural choice and I am so glad we hired her. She was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. She did a great job of explaining all that she is able to do with full planning and what we would be responsible for and breaking up tasks into manageable chunks so we didn't get overwhelmed. We appreciated that she was always very patient with us, even when we dragged our feet on getting certain things done. She helped me a lot with some family drama (inevitable to come up when planning a wedding) and supported the steps necessary to ensure we got the outcome we wanted. The week leading up to the wedding was relaxing since everything had been taken care of and all we needed to do was stick to the timeline which is exactly what we wanted, to just show up and enjoy the day. Everything came together so perfectly and beautifully, we truly could not have been happier. Our guests had a wonderful time and could not stop raving about it being the best wedding they'd been to - also one of my and my husband's goals. Eileen really was the backbone to all of that and we could not have done it without her. She knows all the right people for what you need and if she doesn't, she will find them for you. Eileen was hands down the best money we spent on our entire wedding! She is warm, professional, and able to handle any situation thrown her way. We hired her as a “day of coordinator” but she was engaged way before the wedding day, meeting with us several months before to start building a timeline and to reach out to our vendors. Her timelines are impressively detailed and thorough, and she was able to make suggestions to ensure that we could include everything important to us. In the last 6 weeks before the wedding, she joined vendor calls and came in person to our walk through with the venue where she helped guide decisions on décor and menu. Leading up to the day, she handled most administrative tasks, coordinated timing/needs with our vendors, and ran our rehearsal. As an extremely type A, professional event planner myself, I can confidently say that my wedding day would not have gone as smoothly without Eileen & An Affair to Remember. From the get go, she was a dream to work with - answering our many questions and offering her advice at every opportunity, which provided us with instant relief and a moment of fresh air in the chaos that can be wedding planning. When we needed input on vendors, Eileen was there; when we weren't sure where to even get started on XYZ, Eileen was there; when we ran into an issue with our venue the week before the wedding and needed to craft a strongly worded email, Eileen was there; when it rained on and off all day ahead of our ceremony, Eileen was there (tying bows on the chairs no less). At every opportunity, Eileen was there to help things run smoothly and give us the ability to just enjoy our day. Eileen is without a doubt the main reason our wedding went so smoothly. My husband and I booked her for day-of coordination and she went above and beyond in every way with meetings in advance to ensure we were on track and everyone had what they needed to be successful. Planning wasn’t our thing but she kept us - and all of our vendors - on track pre-wedding and wedding day. My husband and I were referred to Eileen (An Affair to Remember) through our catering team who promised us that we'd be in great hands with her. After having spoken with several other planning teams that had rigid packages or weren't able to disclose costs in a transparent way, we met with Eileen. We immediately felt comforted! Starting from our first call, she was organized, clearly a seasoned professional, and was kind enough to work with us to come up with a planning package that fit our needs (we had already booked several main vendors, but still had some planning to do and needed day-of coordination). Her pricing was very fair. She was everything you want in a planner/coordinator - quick to reply over email, quick to hop on the phone to coordinate with other vendors and resolve issues, kind and gentle with us when felt anxious or when we were behind with tasks. We were planning a wedding in NYC and we live in California, and she was willing to meet at later hours (so generous) to adjust for the time change. On the day of the wedding, we felt so at-ease. Her team did an outstanding job. She kept calm with anxious family members, somehow lugged around a large tote bag of my personal items from hotel to church to reception, helped us navigate wedding transport in mid-town manhattan (!!! not to mention with our church ceremony running longer than expected), and magically appeared everywhere right when we needed her, including a quick dress change (and neatly packaged my personal things as I ran out to do my first dance). I'm forever grateful to Eileen for helping pull together the best day of our lives. We hired Eileen and the team at An Affair to Remember to be our “day of coordinator”. It was truly a wonderful experience and much more than “day of”. Immediately upon hiring Eileen, we set up a meeting to get introduced and on the same page even though we were months away from our actual wedding date. Eileen provided a bunch of materials to help us get organized and lists of items that were instrumental in making sure we actually had time to think of all of the small things.
Working with Eileen was truly a God send! She is unbelievably responsive to any questions you have. She is also very experienced so there is nothing she hasn’t done or seen before, which provided us with a significant guidance and direction.
Eileen coordinated across all of our vendors and the venue to make sure everything was taken care of. All administrative items were handled by her. It made the process leading up to the wedding a stress free as possible.
She was also critical in helping us think through the wedding timeline and ensuring we hit on all the key items we wanted to accomplish on our wedding day.
On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were on top of everything. Our wedding went off without a hitch because of her – but she was also prepared and ready in case things needed to be altered. She kept the day on track and made our wedding dreams come true.
On top of it all, she is a wonderful person. She is professional but easy to talk about. She gets the job done when needed but also makes sure you are comfortable.

Eileen was amazing from day 1. Friendly, professional and so helpful. Always made me feel like a queen, so respectful and patient. She certainly made me feel at peace considering I am a control freak and it was really hard for me to let go at times. Forever grateful for Eileen! We truly had “An Affair To Remember” !
My husband and I recently married on October 4th, 2024. We originally hired Eileen as a Partial Planner at the beginning of 2024. We mainly needed help putting details together, needed help with vendor communication/coordination, logistics, and essentially needed an expert’s pair of eyes and ears throughout the process. From our very first meeting, Eileen has been nothing short of kind, professional, and reliable. She took the time to understand our vision and preferences, offering invaluable suggestions that enhanced our ideas. She managed the logistics, from vendor coordination to timeline creation, taking a huge load off of my shoulders!
2 weeks before our wedding, we discovered our venue fully shut down due to foreclosure (unfortunately, we were not given any prior warning this was a possibility). While you can imagine how chaotic, overwhelming, and beyond stressful that was to experience and that is a whole other issue in itself that we are still going through; Eileen did not hesitate for one second and sprung into action. She made countless calls, advocated/negotiated for us, and came to nearly every last minute venue meeting we had in such short time. While my now hubby & I were living a nightmare, not once did Eileen make us feel like we were not going to have the wedding we deserved. By the grace of God and of course Eileen’s help, we were able to find a new venue one week prior, that was able to accommodate us and our vendors AND we were able to keep our original wedding date!
On the day of the wedding, Eileen and her assistant executed everything flawlessly. They were on top of every detail, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I fully trusted her and was able to focus on getting ready and ease my nerves! Our guests commented on how organized and beautiful everything was considering we found the new venue one week prior and had to make last minute adjustments with details etc. Everything came out beautiful and we were able to fully enjoy our night with our loved ones!
If you're looking for someone who is passionate, dedicated, and truly cares about making your day special, I highly recommend Eileen. She exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are forever grateful for her and her expertise! Thank you Eileen!!

Eileen went above and beyond for my July 2024 wedding. She is thoughtful, reliable and seriously will be there for you on your wedding day. Weddings are complicated but Eileen worked with our vendors to change our timeline and to make adjustments - she seriously took all of the stress off of me and my husband which is not an easy task during the biggest day of your life! Eileen also managed multiple days of events for us (we had a religious service and rehearsal dinner on Friday, followed by a full day of wedding events on Saturday). She organized items, made sure everything was accounted for and even made a special trip back to pick items up for us (which we didn't originally expect would happen). Eileen was pleasant and professional the entire weekend - multiple guests acknowledged what a great job that she did and how attentive she was. As a bride you will know that YOU are Eileen's priority - above everything else!! I would definitely recommend her for any brides in the NY/NJ/PA area. My husband and I got married April 27,2024. We had looked into day of coordinator services in summer of 2023 but were talked out it by family and our budget. About two weeks before the wedding my mom and I looked into again because we were feeling overwhelmed. Eileen and her team stepped right in. They were amazing and turn around time for a timeline and them communicating with all of our vendors was amazing! They stepped right up to the plate and helped me out so much. I hired Eileen just over 3 months out from the wedding day, at the time, much to my then-fiancés chagrin. He felt we didn’t need it, and it was a waste of money 7-months into planning. But I had done my homework, and Eileen’s pricing was fair, and she was absolutely polished. From our first call, it was an amazing fit; I felt the weight of the world lifted with Eileen’s reassurance. She went into action immediately, taking over all of the vendor communication and confirmations, keeping me accountable on my checklist items I had left, reminding me of dates I’d given her, provided drafted and a final perfected timeline, and was patient, flexible and direct [but kind] with all of us the whole process. She also attended a last minute in-person venue meeting with extremely short notice — she instantly showed my guy her value, and there was no question that this service was worth every penny and more. The way my stress level was impacted by having her on our team was invaluable.
Maria and Emily were my day-of girls, and though I was sad to not have Eileen available for my date (she told me during our first call that she was already booked that day), she remained available to me right up until the night before the wedding, and her two stand ins were equally fantastic. It torrentially downpoured the entire day, and we were quite sure that it would from about 3 days in advance (ah Sept. 2023, we’ll never forget your very rainy Saturdays). Again, Eileen sprung to action ensuring extra umbrellas were brought to our partially outdoor venue, that all vendors were prepared to shift gears to accommodate, and that contingency plan details were confirmed and in order. Emily and Maria kept the energy high and the timeline to a tee. I cannot recommend An Affair to Remember ENOUGH, and honestly can’t imagine having had the extremely successful, wet, stress-free and perfect wedding weekend that we had without Eileen and her team. I’m sure I’m forgetting details they handled but man, this was easily the best money we spent this year. Husband is totally a believer now lol.

I recommended that my daughter use Eileen as a day of coordinator. Eileen extended herself above and beyond and came to the rehearsal dinner to help prepare everyone. She was competent and professional but also lovely to be with and easy with whom to collaborate. Many wedding planners are controlling; Eileen is not and did everything exactly just right. Eileen will make all your wedding dreams come true! My husband and I did over a 2-year engagement, and about a year and change into our planning, the decision fatigue really kicked in and we hired Eileen. She swooped in with her magic wedding wand and made sure all the little (and big details) were all taken care of. She was always one step ahead when it came to contacting vendors, answering the questions I hadn't even though of yet, and making sure I had exactly what I needed day of. She was a great personality match for me, as well, and took charge of everything while still working with me. She contacted and confirmed with all our vendors, created our day of timeline, and even went above and beyond and came to our rehearsal the night before to run through our processional. She made sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day and that everyone and everything were exactly where they needed to be. Eileen was the true unsung hero of our wedding. She was so on top of everything from the very first time I talked to her. Our first meeting I could feel her experience and knowledge which I valued so much. I planned my entire wedding and knew I needed someone with experience to help guide us and make sure everything went smoothly. I forgot a couple of details that would’ve totally ruined the day and Eileen just swooped in and knew exactly what to ask so she could help our day be seamless. We had a hiccup at our ceremony where there was no public bathroom and Eileen literally went door knocking looking for anyone that will let us use their bathroom. If that doesn’t sell you on this woman’s dedication then I don’t know what to think of you. Eileen was so focused and made sure that we had little to NO STRESS on the day of. She was super supportive in helping me figure out vendors and made such an organized plan of when things needed to get done. We booked Eileen in 2019 for our May 2020 wedding. From the moment we had an initial phone convo with her, there was a positive vibe. I knew she would be the perfect Day of Coordinator for us on our big day. Fast forward through a pandemic to the day we actually got to have our reception May 15, 2021 and we were not wrong. Eileen accommodated our postponement then walked us through postponing our event and replanning. She offered wonderful advice, guiding us through this crazy time. Starting a month out, she made our lives less stressful by staying on top of our vendors and making sure we were all in communication and aware of what was planned for May 15. On the day of, she and her assistant, Maria, were angels. They made sure things were running smoothly and everyone was where they needed to be. I don't think anything went wrong, and even if it did, she must've done a great job covering it up and making it work. We met with Eileen a few months prior to our wedding to run through the entire event and worked closely with her to help button up the final planning details. Eileen was truly amazing. I plan events for a living, so when I got engaged Feb '18, the absolute last thing I thought I needed was a Day of Coordinator - if I can't handle that, who can? Our friends who had gotten married about 4 months before us told us the number 1 thing they would recommend was a DOC - so I got to thinking, and researching. I spoke to probably 15 coordinators before Eileen, and after speaking with her I knew my hunt was over. She put me completely at ease, I immediately felt better after speaking with her, and at exactly the price I felt comfortable with. Fate! The weeks leading up, Eileen was great - confirming all vendors, even assisting me when 2 days before the wedding I found out my DJ got in a car accident and couldn't work our wedding. Come the day of and everything was taken care of. I'm a worrier by nature and I didn't worry about a single thing with Eileen around. Eileen is an amazing wedding planner! We decided to plan a wedding at the Maplewood Country Club in two months and realized we needed help. We had a beautiful wedding and could not have done it without Eileen’s help! She made me feel instantly calm once we hired her and helped us stay on track, called vendors for us, met with us about the special touches, was available by email, text, phone when we needed, and put together the extensive timeline of the day. On the actual wedding she was behind the scenes attending to details or minor adjustments leaving our loved ones free just to enjoy the party. I told her I felt sad to finally say goodbye to her since she felt like an angel supporting us through this quick wedding planning period. We could not be happier with how our wedding turned our. However we soon realized that we needed help! We wanted someone we trusted to execute our vision so we set out looking for a DOC and are so thankful to have met Eileen! We were blown away by her level of dedication and expertise to make our dream a reality. We had so many moving parts to make our outdoor tented wedding happen: from cueing a marching brass band to surprise our guests at the end of the ceremony, coordinating with multiple furniture vendors to get our reception tent and barn set up perfectly, to arranging our DIY fire pit s'mores station to getting the whole crowd lined up at the end of the night for a sparkler sendoff and surprise firework show. Eileen and her team worked fast and with smiles on their faces and always made me feel like I was being taken care of especially when some difficult family members started to act up. She protected me and my husband from the drama and left me with the most amazing memories of our wedding. If you are thinking about hiring a wedding planner or a DOC - do yourself a favor and hire Eileen. It was the best decision we made! -

Eileen is such a pleasure to work with. She is positive and upbeat and her passion for the job was clearly reflected when speaking with her. From the very beginning, I and my husband had no idea about our wedding, Eileen was very helpful—I valued every communication, facetime, chat and email we had before the wedding; I valued all the patient answers, sincere suggestion and kind reminder she gave us as our wedding planner.
The week of the wedding, she contacted all of my vendors and pulled together a timeline. I was extremely stressed out that week, Eileen took over and coordinated all the last minute details for me- the photographer, videographer, the DJ, etc.
The day of the wedding Eileen came to the venue very early. Once I arrived at the venue to get dressed, she did not leave my side until the ceremony started - she held the back of my gown up while I was taking pictures. Eileen made sure the ceremony ran smoothly. She ensured that the bridesmaids had their flowers, the groomsmen had their boutineers, the best man had the rings, and that everyone was lined up in the correct order and knew where to go. During the reception she kept asking me if I needed anything. We were actually able to relax on the day of the wedding because of her, which is priceless!
She was so wonderful and helpful, I couldn't of imagined a better wedding planner.I highly, HIGHLY recommend Eileen, she is the best planner out there. -

Raquel Sent on 10/03/2012Words cannot express how thankful I am for every vendor, and contributor to our wedding, but I would not have known who most of them were if it hadn't been for Eileen. Her professionalism and responsiveness impressed me from our first phone interaction. She answered her phone, even though she was at an event, to let me know she was excited to speak at a more appropriate time when we could really chat.
I am not from New Jersey, so the only thing I was certain of was where our wedding would be held. All the other details of selecting vendors, was a mystery to me. I am a designer and intended to design the decor of our wedding, but I needed the right planner and vendors to execute on the day of. This was my chief concern when I contacted Eileen. I was certain at our first face-to-face meeting that I could trust Eileen with my vision for our wedding.
She never disappointed. From our band, to our florist, to her amazing find of an incredibly affordable and talented dress tailor, Eileen delivered wonderful recommendations. Not only were all of our vendors talented in their craft, they were a pleasure to work with. A good planner knows who to recommend so that not only your wedding, but the year leading up to it runs smoothly. Eileen provided all of this and more.
The day of our wedding was no different. I threw her a couple unfortunate curve balls, and she took it all in stride with a smile. She was calm, kind, and found every opportunity to give my husband and I private moments together. This was greatly appreciated because the actual wedding day is so full of hustle and bustle.
I am so thankful that we selected Eileen. It was the best decision we made, and worth every penny we invested into her. She helped to make our wedding a dream come true, and for that I will be forever grateful to her.
