I was not a rich bride. I was not willing to pay $1000 for only my bridal makeup and hair because it was just not in the budget. I felt so lucky to find Amy H and her team as they gave very fair pricing for bridal and bridesmaid makeup and hair and perfectly executed the vision on for me and my bridesmaids on wedding day. We gave inspiration pictures to Amy's team and were all very happy with the results.
I did a trial with Amy initially where I tried a completely different look and ended up changing it, and she was super understanding and kept checking in with me to make sure I liked my makeup and hair. The trial is not included in the initial price for wedding makeup, but I highly recommend doing one trial with Amy's team to make sure you can make adjustments for your wedding day.
Amy and her team showed up on time to my mother's house, came with their own chairs and equipment, and were all super sweet. We had one bridal, 4 bridesmaids, and 1 mother of bride and finished within 3.5-4 hours. -

I'm so glad Amy was my makeup artist! I wanted to look better than usual, but not so drastically different on my wedding day. Her fun-spirited energy, flexibility, and supportive attitude was just what I needed. Her rate was more reasonable than some of the bigger vendors and she has a lot of experience, so she's nimble, resourceful, and really gets how stressful the wedding planning process can be, which is so helpful. During the trial session, she tuned into my worry/indecisiveness and made it okay to pivot when eyeshadow colors weren't quite right for me. She really prioritizes your comfort and personal preferences- above all else. Amy also "coached" me with suggestions to get my skin ready for the big day.
On the wedding day, my bridesmaids were very satisfied with her and her team's services. Her staff was collaborative, easy-going, and warm. And they brought good music to jam to, too! It was a lovely experience. I highly recommend Amy H and her team. -

I cannot recommend Amy enough—she was an absolutely essential part of my wedding morning. Not only is she an incredibly talented makeup artist, but she is also one of the kindest and most sympathetic people I've ever met.
I was quite nervous and conscious about my hair due to alopecia, and when I mentioned this to her, she handled the conversation with such sensitivity and grace. She immediately put me at ease, making me feel completely comfortable and supported, which truly meant the world to me.
Throughout the entire trial and on the wedding day, her attention to detail was phenomenal. She is a true collaborator, working closely with me to achieve the exact look I envisioned, making sure every single element was perfect and suited my features. The look was flawless and lasted all night long!
More than just her skill, her calm and wonderful demeanor made the whole process relaxing and fun. I felt comfortable and confident in her chair from start to finish. I highly recommend Amy H and her team as a wedding day beauty team! They did a great job with my bridal hair/makeup and all seven of my bridesmaids plus two mothers. I was worried about finding the right makeup artist especially because I don't wear a lot of makeup. During my trial, Amy was so helpful and patient, allowing me to try different makeup options to make sure I felt most confident the day of my wedding. It was very natural but brought out my features. She also did an amazing job on my hair - giving me exactly the messy bun updo I was hoping for. The hair/makeup also lasted all night. Thanks to Amy and her team!! Everyone was a pleasure to work with. -

Amy and her makeup team were outstanding! You need to hire her!! The special part about Amy and her team is that they truly listen to what YOU want for your makeup and hair on your wedding day and personalize it to you. She was able to match the inspiration photos I gave her perfectly! I wanted a very natural and glowy look and Amy executed it perfectly. My bridesmaids all have different skin tones and Amy and her team made them all look perfect!! I changed what I wanted for my hair throughout the planning process and Amy was very flexible and accommodating, she did the best soft waves for me. She also gave me a little goodie bag of touch-ups to use throughout the day. All of my bridesmaids and I keep saying how beautiful she made us all look on my wedding day! Amy and her assistant artist (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) were both incredibly kind and supportive, and were very helpful to my bridesmaids who weren't as knowledgeable about hair & makeup styles/didn't know exactly what they wanted going into it. I can't begin to express how thankful I am to Amy for her outstanding work for my wedding make up and hair!!
She was extremely kind, fast in response and had everything ready on the day of. She was amazing at making me feel at ease (I was nervous hahaha). She was on perfect time for the early morning service (thank you!!!) and we finished on perfect schedule and I had plenty of time to get dressed and set to go to the ceremony. She did an AMAZING job, truly and made me feel like a princess! The make up and hair lasted well into the afternoon/evening and I had to do minimal retouch on my lipstick only (from eating and kissing my hubby hahaha).

Amy is a professional and was great to communicate and work with! As the bride, I had my hair and makeup done by her and her team, and I also gifted her services for my 5 bridesmaids, my mother, and mother-in-law. We did a trial almost a year in advance, but I always felt like Amy remembered me and followed up with what I wanted on my wedding day. She checked in to make sure my bridesmaids and I brought inspo pics if we had any specific styles we wanted for our hair and makeup. My wedding was peak fall wedding season in SoCal, and Amy was able to make me feel prioritized and beautiful on my big day on 9/21/24! The morning getting ready with her and her team was actually one of my favorite parts of the day (and the least stressful). I would highly recommend to other brides, and especially anxious ones like me (aren't we all?)! She has great mom energy and I felt taken care of - she made sure I could sneak in a bagel and lots of water while she was doing my makeup. She gave my maid of honor a little touch up kit to help maintain my makeup in-between big moments like the ceremony and the reception. Thank you Amy! -

From the moment I met her, Amy was so kind, patient, and detail-oriented. I had never had my makeup done professionally before, and I only had a vague idea of what I wanted from Pinterest and Instagram. I knew I wanted old-school Hollywood waves and a soft glam look, but I didn’t want to feel overdone—I wanted to look like me, just the most polished and glowing version of myself.
Amy completely nailed the entire look! Hollywood waves are tricky, especially with my super thick hair, but she pulled them off perfectly. My makeup was everything I envisioned—flawless in person and absolutely stunning in photos. Even after hours of dancing, my hair and makeup stayed in place all night long!

Amy is an absolute artist! For my wedding, I envisioned a “no make-up, make-up” look inspired by Hailey Bieber, and Amy brought it to life beautifully. My make-up had the perfect sunkissed glow, dewy skin, soft colors, individual lashes, and rosy cheeks. My hair, styled in a textured low bun with wispy details, was exactly what I had hoped for.
Not only did my hair and make-up look flawless, but they also lasted the entire day and night—I only needed to touch up my lips! Amy’s expert tips for preparing my skin beforehand made a huge difference, ensuring everything looked smooth and radiant.
Amy was a dream to work with: professional, punctual, and an excellent listener. She perfectly replicated the looks I shared through inspiration photos, and her attention to detail was unmatched. Amy and her colleague (Angel) did hair and make-up for myself, my mom and two maid of honors for my wedding day, and they exceeded my wildest dreams!!! I think we all hope that we'll feel our most beautiful on our wedding day, and Amy goes above and beyond to make that possible and execute your vision. From our initial calls to the bridal trial to the wedding day itself, she was a total pro, and I immediately knew I was in the best hands possible. She takes so much pride in her work, and although she works with SO many brides because of her talent and skill, she makes you feel like you are the only one.
In terms of process, Amy was such a delight to work with from day one - she is extremely responsive, transparent and detail-oriented. I was also impressed by her willingness to make little tweaks between the trial and wedding day versions of my hairstyle based on the vision that she and I had curated together. She has this wonderful spirit about her too, which made the getting ready phase of my wedding day so peaceful and fun.
Candidly, the hair and make-up piece of the process was particularly overwhelming for me (I'm sporty and don't know much about make-up), and I didn't know where to begin when I started. However, Amy was a breath of fresh air, and I would choose her every time if I had to do it over again. She and her team played an instrumental role in giving us the most magical day of our lives! -

I hired Amy as my wedding artist, and it was one of the best decisions I've made for my wedding. Amy is great! She is easy to talk to and accommodated our different makeup requests for the bride, two moms, and bridesmaids.
Our ceremony was at noon, so the bridal makeup started at 6 a.m. Amy was very punctual and arrived at the venue at 5:50 a.m. to get everything set up.
Her technique in makeup and hairstyling is exceptional. I've used different artists for wedding photo shoot sessions, and Amy's style is by far my favorite. I loved how I looked on my wedding day.

I found Amy through my local neighborhood mom's group. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I was super pleased with the results. I had a trial with a different MUA previous to meeting with Amy and ended up going with Amy because I felt like my make up that Amy applied was better suited to me as I am half Asian. The other make up artist was great, but does make up for people like Tori Spelling and Denise Richards so Amy was just a better fit for me. I met with Amy at her place which is not far from my place so that was a big plus. Throughout the whole process Amy was very pleasant and accommodating. I am not a makeup person and never wear lashes or really any make up at all, so it was really fun to see how I can look with all the extras especially on my big day. Everything worked out beautifully and if I had to have my hair and make up done again, I would definitely go to Amy again. This is an easy five star review. -

I'm so grateful for Amy's skills as she transformed me into a confident bride on wedding day! As someone who usually doesn't get their makeup and hair done, I was worried makeup might make me look unnatural. Amy worked her magic and enhanced my features, and I love how it turned out in photographs too, both under flash and natural light! I also had a trial session with her where she helped do hair and makeup beforehand, giving me care tips on the months leading to the wedding.
Amy's team also helped do hair and makeup for 3 bridesmaids and 2 moms. They worked super efficiently and everyone just looked amazing!

I’m so glad I found Amy for my hair and makeup on our wedding day. Honestly, finding a makeup artist was the one vendor I was most nervous about because I‘ve never liked how I looked when I had to get my makeup done for friends’ and family members’ weddings. It was always too heavy and I didn’t feel like myself, but not with Amy. As soon as we got done with my trial, I knew I made the right choice. She really listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel so beautiful for both the trial and wedding day. She knows exactly what she’s doing. Amy H was one of the BEST and EASIEST parts of wedding planning
Amy is so incredibly kind, professional, and talented - I was very anxious and stressed about the wedding and had no idea where to even begin with make up/hair services but Amy guided me through every step of the way.
She was incredible during the trial session and on the day of, she and her team could not have been more amazing with my look, my mom/mother-in laws looks, and my bridesmaids. Even my highly finnicky mom was super happy with her make up and look! My make up and hair held up for the entire six hour event - through the "Western" first half of our wedding and into the Chinese half.
I will 100000% come back to Amy the next time I have a major event I need to look AMAZING for! 100% recommend for talent and excellent service! -

The best ever!
Amy is the best! My wedding start with her perfect make up and hairstyle, made the rest of the wedding so smooth and nice. She gave us the luck! She is so talented and creative, I don’t know I need to get hairpiece prepared, and she immediately thought about use the flower I have, made the hairstyle so special. All my family and friends was surprised by the skill. And I don’t know what style I need, but she just know what is best for me. She is sweet and patient, and mostly so experienced! She told my bridesmaid how to deal with my make up and hair during the ceremony, so everything went exactly like she said. Can’t have my wedding without her! -

Great experience
Amy was simply awesome! Unfortunately, on my wedding day, I had a horrible breakout but she was so patient with me, worked her magic, and made me feel confident. Frankly, I don't wear makeup & barely have any knowledge of it, so you can imagine the absolute fear I felt of my makeup running or smearing throughout the day and having no one around who knows about makeup for a touch-up. Nonetheless, I can gladly say that was not the case & my makeup stayed on perfectly until the end of the night. -

Amy and her team are simply amazing for both hair and makeup. I can't recommend her enough!!
I started looking for a hair stylist just 15 days before my wedding. Even though it was so last minute, I had put a LOT of time and effort into choosing the right hair stylist for me, my 7 bridesmaids, my aunt and my mom (10 people total). I'm so happy that I ended up choosing Amy out of the 14 artists that were on my list!!
I say above that I was looking for a hair stylist, because originally, my thought was that I could just do my makeup myself, since I do it on a daily basis anyway. Amy was so kind, understanding, and not pushy in any way when I told her this, that after a day of consideration and reviewing her makeup portfolio, I decided to book both makeup and hair. This was THE BEST beauty-related decision that I made for the wedding!
Because it was literally less than two weeks until my wedding, we didn't have time to do a trial. Amy asked for photo inspiration & references, my preferences on both hair & makeup, and incorporated my feedback in real time to create a look that's very "me".
Such artistry!! She expertly crafted a single polished look for me that coordinated perfectly with my three distinct wedding outfits: my tea ceremony dress, my white wedding dress, and my reception dress.
Amy and her team of three also did an incredible makeover for my mom and aunt, both of whom don't regularly do their makeup or hair and have the type of Asian eyelid shapes that cause smearing.
She and her team all arrived on time (7am on the dot) at our hotel room and finished on time (actually, even earlier), without making anyone in our huge group feel rushed or stressed, even though we were cramped in a small hotel room. They were so efficient and flexible that I had a whole 40 minutes to grab breakfast downstairs!
All of our makeup and hair were still flawless at the end of the night, which is truly impressive, considering how hot it was when we took wedding party pics at the park, that my bridesmaids took their N95 masks (with straps over their heads) on and off during our indoor reception, and that I am notoriously quick to tears ( & snot). The makeup all stayed on my face, with minimal touch-up, even after bawling my way through my vows.
In fact, everyone was so impressed with my look that at the reception, an auntie asked for my makeup/hair artist's info for her daughter's upcoming wedding!! I of course shared in a heartbeat, even though the wedding is in NorCal.

Amy and her team were great! After 3 postponements, you know the wedding season was crazy but Amy worked to make sure we were synced up with our postponement dates. Her package included the bridesmaids and moms, we just needed to let them know what hairstyles/makeup styles we liked and provide any hair accessories (like shiny pins and combs.) They were on time, brought their own mirrors and lighting equipment. Make sure you provide enough space/seating for the crew - I had 4 bridesmaids and two moms in addition to myself and there were four artists total (including Amy) and asked the hotel to bring in extra chairs to the bridal suite. They always tell you to build extra time because hair and makeup run over, but Amy's team was so well organized. Make sure your ladies are ready when they ask them to be so they can get hair and curling started – they are punctual! My makeup looked good and she included a touch up kit with hair spray (didn’t use it, it held very well even with a helicopter ride and lots of dancing) but the lipstick helped for after food touch ups. What’s really important is also to have your bridesmaids watch out for your makeup and jewelry while you’re going throughout your day (so necklaces don’t get tangled and hairpieces don’t come loose.) None of this happened to me, but hey, just so you know! And yes, I got teary eyed at the vows, but no makeup smears! What I’m happiest about is the great job they did teasing out my MIL’s hair – she has very thin hair and they did a fabulous job with her updo and made her feel beautiful!
I did my makeup trial at her house, although I think there was an option for a studio location. Her pricing is very reasonable, especially as a package including makeup AND hair styling. Amy was absolutely wonderful. She did my hair and make up for my wedding and had another artist help her with the hair and make up for my bridesmaids. She was super nice and responsive through the entire process even with two postponements due to COVID and went above and beyond to make sure we all looked great for my wedding day. The hair and make up was beautiful and just as we had wanted it and not overdone. It lasted the whole night even with dancing and eating /drinking. She gave us a touch up kit too which we ultimately didn’t need except for lipstick. I will definitely recommend her to friends getting married in the future. -

It was great that I found Amy H Makeup 1 week prior to my wedding. I got compliments all night long of how beautiful and natural I look. Amy made me feel like a QUEEN on my wedding day. My wedding had three outfit changes: A traditional wedding dress, a Chinese qi pao, and a Pakistani Lehenga w/ a heavy floor length duppatta. I needed an artist that understood all three cultures and she helped me create a look that fit all three.
I talked to a few make-up salons and artists before speaking to Amy. I loved her artistry and I appreciated the opportunity to speak to her directly unlike other larger make-up studios. She was prompt in her responses, straight forward and her prices were reasonable compared to others. I hired her and her team to do my make-up and a few family members.
My trial: I recommend doing a trial so you can try out different looks. From this, I learned that a high bun gave me a headache a few hours later, so we changed it to a lower bun. I also changed the hair style and Amy was flexible in seeing my vision come true! I would recommend asking as much questions as you want during this time and asking for small changes as you see fit. I asked for a different shade of lipstick and it completely changed my look which I loved. She also worked with great products.
Day of Wedding: She arrived promptly with her team in the morning. They worked quickly but meticulously and everyone looked so beautiful. She spent at least 2.5 hours on my look and it was even more stunning than my trial. The makeup lasted all day. I also hired one of her artists to come back onsite to help me change into my second Pakistani outfit as a dupatta is hard to get on by yourself without crushing your hair. Again, on time, wonderful!
I am trying to think of the next time I could get my makeup done by her! I highly recommend Amy and her team for your wedding day. -

Amy is talented, professional, easy to communicate, and organized. It wasn't easy deciding which artist to book when you've never worked with them before. However I liked that Amy's website had a lot of before and after pictures to compare. She had a wide range of clients and it made me comfortable knowing that she's capable of different styles.
Amy did my makeup and hair for my engagement and wedding. Everyone complimented how beautiful I looked. I plan on hiring her again for future events. I highly recommend her!

Amy did an amazing job on my wedding on Nov 10, 2019! I booked her back in March, and she has been friendly and professional since the beginning, providing helpful advices and always answering my messages quickly. I wasn’t sure what I wanted when we did the trial run and it came out just okay. Amy provided me different options and spent a lot of time discussing with me afterwards. The makeup and hair on the wedding day turned out to be perfect! Better than what I could have imagined.
My 3 bridesmaids and my mom didn’t have to go to the venue super early since Amy brought 2 assistants. Makeup and hair were done within 3 hours (plus for the groom). Amy also gave my bridesmaids detailed instruction on how to take care my look before she came back for my second look. The second look was done within 40min and we were able to begin reception as scheduled.
Thanks Amy for making all of us look so pretty on my special day! She’s easygoing, talented, versatile and very experienced. I highly recommend Amy for anyone seeking for a polished and exquisite look. -

I highly recommended Amy and her team for hair and makeup. She was sweet, nice, and very professional. Unlike some other makeup artists, her makeup bag was neat and clean. Responsive, flexible, and professional. As you know planning a wedding can be hectic and stressful but working with Amy made our day and planning process so easy. To start, her communication is by far the most responsive of all my vendors, you need her she answered. The getting-ready area for my wedding was a tight squeeze with 9 other girls in the room + her 4 assistants but her team was totally cool with it and made it work. All my bridesmaids, moms, and grandmas turned out BEAUTIFUL and she stuck to schedule so well. Amy is amazing!!! This woman is seriously a miracle worker. For my wedding she did both hair and makeup for me, my mom and my maid of honor in 4 and 1/2 hours. She knew exactly what time we needed to start to be done in time and all of our make up hair lasted all night. None of us typically wear a lot of makeup but Amy was great at working with us to make sure our final look was natural and comfortable for each of us. My mom seriously looked 10 years younger and everyone kept commenting on how great we looked. Greatest Make Up Artist! Pick Amy!
Love Amy's style! I was little worried before I met Amy because I have a traditional Chinese wedding dress which needed match the hair style and make up. Chinese traditional hair style is a little bit hard and easily mess up. However, Amy finished the hair style very professionally and she knows what I want exactly!
She doesn't use cheap cosmetics at all. She picks cosmetics very carefully. I can see Bobbi Brown foundations Laura Mercia premier and so on. Some of great products I use for my daily make up as well. So when I saw her cosmetics I knew her products will be very safe for everyone even sensitive skin.
On my engagement shoot day, Amy gave me few very important tips! She remained me bring a platform shoes so I don't have to ware high heels all day and walk around with it. That was really a great advice. Finally I took all day and walked over 10,000 steps. If I wore my high heels, my foot will be so tired.
On my wedding ceremony, Amy also came as my make up artist. We were half hour late on that day and kind of hurry. Amy only have 1 and half hour to do make up. However, she actually done all make up and hair style in that amount of time and even better than engagement shoot day!
The last and very important! Amy's price was fair and reasonable! Pick her if you have big event and need some make up boost! -

Whether you’re wanting the natural look or the more dramatic look, she can make you look like a queen. Her before & after photos on her website was what sold me on her but after spending time with her to do my trial and then the day of my wedding, I’m even more happy I did because she is just the sweetest. I highly recommend Amy and would definitely use her again if I needed to get dolled up. Do the trial too! It is worth it. She spends the time to achieve the look that you want. We did a split face to see which style of makeup I would like since I didn’t really have a clue. I loved my makeup & hair after the trial but they were even more perfect for my wedding.
