Last Minute Wedding Plan

My daughter and her fiancé decided to get married on short notice. There was only two months to plan the small 50 person wedding. After finding the wedding dress, deciding the venue and getting invitations out, I called Amy's Cakes to order the wedding cake. Amy and her assistant, Miranda, went above and beyond to help us choose a cake that met our requirements and tight schedule. Our guests raved about how beautiful and delicious the cake was. Next to the bride, the cake was the most talked about topic. I would highly recommend Amy's Cakes to compliment any size wedding experience. The cake was a work of art. Their baking skill, creativeness and exceptional personal service far exceeded expectations. I can't thank them enough for helping us out on such short notice.

Hovell Wedding

Amy Cakes did so amazing! The cakes were gorgeous and they tasted fantastic! We went with a traditional wedding cake and a lemon cake with blueberry compote and they were delicious. If you are looking for any intricate designs then this is the place! Thank you so much!

Not only a beautiful wedding cake...

We reserved Amy Cakes for my daughter's wedding on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous, it tasted so good. It was moist, and the filling in between was heaven! Amy and her team are extremely professional and courteous. They are on time and the communication is excellent. We would provide 10 stars if we could!

Fantastically fun!

I adore her work. If you want a cake this is where you want it from! They are moist and incredibly put together! Just gorgeous work they do!
I didn’t have to worry about a thing they transported the cakes for us and our venue was a bit of a drive I’d say at least 1.5 hours away. Professional and just overall perfect for our big day!

Amazing Experience

Amy and Miranda are a joy to work with. The cake was fabulous and so delicious. I craved it so much after our wedding that I ordered another cake for my birthday. It’s rare that white wedding cake is a standout, but somehow Amy does it. From start to finish, everyone was friendly and communicative. I’m a forever customer now!

Delicious!

Amy Cakes is amazing! When we were planning our wedding, every other one of our vendors who heard that we had Amy Cakes was so excited! (Which is probably the best review you can get.) We couldn’t decide on just one flavor, so we went with three smaller cakes (spice, wedding with raspberry filling, and lemon lavender) and I’m so glad we did. All of our guests were able to try a little bit of each and they were all a big hit!

Excellent Cake, Amazing People

We meet with the baker/owner of Amy Cakes & she gave us 4 mini cakes to take home & sample. When we decided how many people we were serving & what flavors we wanted, then they gave us a total & we paid a $100 deposit. The balance wasn't due till the week before the wedding. During the wedding everyone loved the cake. We only ended up with about 6 pieces of cake leftover. I would defiantly recommend Amy Cakes to anyone.

I went in undecided about what I wanted to do for cake. There are so many options nowadays. I was really impressed that Amy took time laying out all of my ideas and the options in detail. She is such a nice person, and of course the cakes taste amazing!

Amy Cakes Are So Good You Need 2 Receptions

I told my wife that I wanted to hold a reception again for no other reason than to have Amy and her staff make another cake, haha! The cake was that good. But not just that; Amy and her staff were so cheerful, enthusiastic, patient and open to ideas. They worked very hard to capture exactly what your vision was, asked very detailed questions and were an eye in the middle of the hurricane. In addition to our wedding cake, we asked Amy Cake to make us a cake that was the total opposite of a wedding cake for our rehearsal dinner, which was actually a barbecue/tailgate party. They dove right in and loved it. I think people at the cake faster than the barbecue. Amy provided personal attention; you didn't get staffed out, and she personally was involved. You and your stomach are in good hands with Amy Cakes, haha! Enjoy!

Best cake in Oklahoma

I am a cake snob and know the difference between great cake and “bad” cake. Everyone knew my cake was one of the most important parts of my wedding. So, I HAD to have the best cake baker in Oklahoma who not only made delicious cakes but created beautiful cakes, too. Amy Cakes was absolutely fantastic!!! Miranda and Amy are so thorough and professional. They knew exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly!! I HIGHLY recommend them for all your cake needs!!

Both our wedding and grooms cakes were incredible, and as beautiful as they were, they tasted even better. It was delicious and our guests raved about both. The wedding cake, was five tier and each a different flavor, Strawberry, White Wedding, Peanut Butter, Coconut and lemon. The groom's cake was Italian Crème. She showed up well in advance of the ceremony, expertly assembled/decorated the cake, without even really being noticed by any of the busy wedding party. We would absolutely, without hesitation recommend her for weddings, birthdays, ANY occasion. She does fill up fast, so please don't wait until the last minute to book her.

This place is just full of rock stars! From Amy all the way down to the delivery girls! The look of the cake is what hooks you, blows you away but then you get to the wedding day & get to eat the freaking thing! Hands down the best cake I have ever tasted! Could no recommend Amy more!

AMAZING! Amy Cakes did an amazing job with my wedding and I am so grateful that we used her. She did both my wedding and my sister's wedding. I wanted to model my cake after Kate Middleton (within a budget) and she delivered beautifully. I could not have been happier with my experience. Amy Cakes makes the best cakes I have ever tasted and seen. Her professionalism is top notch but she is so kind and down to earth. She has such a gift for design and seemed to get inside my mind because she delivered above and beyond what I asked in our design meeting. We planned our wedding on a very short timeline so I have never actually met Amy, but the cakes she provided for our wedding were amazing! People are still talking about how delicious it was four months later and I have a feeling the memory of celebrating our wedding with a delicious and beautiful cake will not go away any time soon. I worked with Scottie and he listened and executed exactly what I was wanting. He was very responsive considering how busy they must have been this summer. Our cakes were even more beautiful and delicious than I imagined.

Amy makes the best cakes ever!!! My daughter had a halloween themed reception and Amy made a 5 tier lime green cake with spider lace-- we added bright orange tiger lilies -- the groom's cake was a 2 tier gamers cake- one side had tetris, one side had donkey kong, one side had pacman and one side had frogger. the top had Pong-- everyone loved the taste of the cakes. She is worth everypenny!!!

Our cake was beautiful and exactly what we imagined! Our guest loved the look and raved over the taste! My father in law has a gluten intolerance so Amy threw in a small GF strawberry cake so that he could have cake with the rest of us!

Amy Cakes is THE BEST! Our cake idea wasn't crazy creative, but the colors were a little unorthodox (just grey and white) and I'll admit I was a tad bit worried. Our cake was BEAUTIFUL. It's probably the part of the wedding I'm most proud of because it was simply perfect. It was everything we wanted and definitely worth the cost (which was not as much as I expected). The price was completely reasonable and we loved our cake. Not just the way it looked, either- it's the best cake I've ever had. Probably the highlight of planning the wedding was the cake tasting because it was so dang good. If you can, choose Amy Cakes. They're awesome.<

Amy was a pleasure to work with. She was consistently friendly, reasonable, transparent, and always easy to contact. Even before tasting the cake, I was sure we wanted to do business with her. And when I tasted the cake... wow! Incredibly moist and flavorful, it was so good that it hardly needed the (also delicious) buttercream frosting. The marbled cake with espresso filling was my favorite, but my fiance preferred the white wedding cake with raspberry filling. We got both, in alternating layers, and our guests loved it. The cake was also beautiful, and looked exactly how I'd envision it. I would unreservedly recommend Amy to anyone seeking a wedding cake.

We loved our cakes from Amy Cakes! We had several small cakes and she charged us the birthday cake price rather than charging us for the more expensive wedding cake price. They delivered the cakes and set them up at our venue and everything looked perfect. We were also able to rent cake stands from them to make our cake table look perfect!

A friend of ours had recently been to a wedding with the 'best cake ever" and so had the MOG .. so they both called the respective brides and they'd both used Amy Cakes... so surprising since one bride was in Muskogee OK and the other in Edmond OK. We made an appointment and went in and met with Amy... Prior to the meeting an email was sent with different cake flavors and filling flavors. We chose 4 or 5 different pairings and she made 6-8" cakes of each for the meeting. Amy Cakes truly makes the "BEST CAKE EVER!"... they were each more delicious than the one before. We actually had a grooms cake and a 5-layer cake... and 4 different types of cake/filling. It really was amazing. Perfectly decorated... and they gave you a box for all the cake stands, etc. with a checklist so you don't loose anything. Amy and her staff made this part of the wedding perfect.

Additionally, we were so worried that her cost would be really high after hearing her reputation.... but we were so pleasantly surprised that her prices are very reasonable and less than what we'd thought.

I always recommend Amy Cakes... and can't imagine using someone else for a special occasion.

My best advice is if Amy Cakes is available and in your price range, book as soon as possible! We had a very positive experience working with Amy and Olive. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, flexible, and lived up to every expectation that we had. Any time we had a question, it was very easy to get ahold of them...no surprises, just delicious cake! I'd have to say, of all of our vendors, we were most confident and at ease after booking Amy Cake's. Originally, my husband was very skeptical as to why we would want to budget a good chunk for a wedding cake, but after sitting down with Amy, tasting cakes, and brainstorming designs, he was very happy with the outcome and continues to tell people how happy he was with our cake.

If you choose to book a consultation with Amy I would suggest coming with ideas/pictures you have in mind and even take a few minutes to browse pictures on her website. We came in with several unique ideas and Amy was able to help us put together we were very happy with! The cake was a star at the wedding and people are still talking about how delicious our banana flavored cake was!

We got a 4 tier cake and a dessert bar and everything was delicious! The cake was so moist and flavorful and beautiful!! I was so impressed! I didn't really know how it would turn out until the day of because she didn't have a sketch just a little of descriptions that I had given her but it turned out far better than I could've imagined! It was one of my favorite parts of the wedding! And they give you a free "cake topper" for your 1st anniversary so we were able to eat our cake topper the first day of our honeymoon which was super fun :)

Amy Cakes is absolutely the best cake designer in the OKC Metro area! Not only are their creations BEAUTIFUL, they taste just as amazing! We have received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the cakes they provided.

We loved working with Amy and Olive to design our beautiful wedding cake and groom's cake. They provided such great customer service and treated us like friends throughout our planning process. They listened to our vision and delivered exactly what we had in mind. They were prompt to reply to emails and managed our revisions perfectly. They offered prompt delivery to bring our day together seamlessly.

Do yourself a favor and book Amy Cakes! Amy is the warmest, most welcoming vendor in the wedding business. She is so personable and was a joy to talk to. We came to her with a very vague idea in mind and she helped us create a cake that was beyond anything I could have dreamed. She will not try to oversell you on the amount of cake needed. She's very honest and realistic in her communication. Wedding cakes usually have a reputation for being dry and kind of lack luster, but her cakes are anything but! We got so many compliments on the cake, people are still talking about it! Her pricing is very reasonable considering the high quality she provides. I would choose her over and over again!

I. Love. Amy. Cakes. Amy is one of the most personable and friendly people I had the pleasure of meeting during the course of my wedding planning. She is incredibly laid back and does not pressure you into anything you do not want. My cake turned out to be one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. She even set up a free tasting for us. Loved, loved, loved Amy Cakes! We had the best experience. We originally chose Amy Cakes because they offered gluten-free cakes. We are so glad we made this decision! Their gluten-free cakes were AMAZING! Myself, along with the numerous other guests who eat gluten-free were all more than impressed. Obviously the other cake flavors were wonderful as well. We tried a number flavors and never found one we didn't like. Amy is so creative, friendly, and professional, and can do anything. I would recommend her to all family and friends. My husband and I have decided we are going to crash any wedding serving cake from Amy Cakes. HA! We are more than happy with our decision to involve Amy Cakes in our big day!

Amy Cakes made my bridal shower cake, and not only was it absolutely gorgeous, it was absolutely delicious too. I am already trying to figure out when I can next order from Amy Cakes. She may have been my favorite vendor from the entire wedding. The cake was a 3 tier, teal blue, masterpiece. The wedding was in Oklahoma and the bride lived in Austin. Amy and Olive were more than wonderful in working with both the bride and her mother who lives in Oklahoma regarding meetings and taste testing. The cake flavors were so outstanding it was hard to choose so we went with four.

Amy cakes is the wedding cake vendor you want! Her cakes are gorgeous and delicious! We weren't sure how much we wanted to spend on the cake because wedding cakes are surprisingly expensive. But once we tasted her cakes we decided this was one area where the money was worth it. We did a 4 tiered round cake. Two layers were Italian cream and two layers were red velvet. Both were amazingly delicious and Amy designed the scroll pattern that we included on two of the layers. The cake looked beautiful. We also rented a cake stand from her ($25) which was very reasonable in comparison to other places and went well with the cake design.

Amy was also very easy to work with. You can definitely tell she loves her job when you talk to her. She has so many ideas and is willing to do whatever you need. She is also very creative which is helpful when you aren't sure what you want the cake to look like. I would highly recommend her because the cake will look gorgeous and taste delicious!

Both cakes were wonderful and they looked fabulous!! Everybody couldn't get enough of the chocolate grooms cake and the white was out of this world as well. Don't know how they do it but Amy and her crew are amazing!

I have heard more raves about my cake than I did anything else. We had ordered cupcakes for the grooms cake, and all of them were gone by the end of the night. THere was only a little bit left of the actual cake. EVERYONE loved the cake. You cannot go wrong when getting your cake done by Amy. We will go through her for all bday cakes etc...from now on. And the cake itself was beautiful! I had people telling me it was the prettiest cake they had ever seen! I could not be more happy with her service! : )

We have ordered 3 cakes recently (2 Birthday and a Baptism cake) each was wonderful! With each cake they captured the event we were celebrating. There were only crumbs left! Everyone wanted to know where the cake(s) were from. All the guests were very impressed with the taste, moistness and overall quality of the cake(s). The only downside ... there was no leftovers :(

Amy and Olive were both so amazing to work with - you can tell they truly love what they do! People are still talking about how delicious our cakes were. We tasted 4 types of cakes and we ended up having them all at the wedding. Amy made my groom an octopus cake and it was so adorable- it could not have been more perfect! Also, Amy makes you a fresh cake for your first anniversary so you do not have to worry about freezing your top layer and having frostbitten cake! Best. Cakes. Ever.

Our cakes were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Also, Amy makes the BEST-tasting cakes I've ever had in my life! We ordered cakes for 600 servings. There were less than 500 at our wedding and NO cake left...not even the top! The groom's cake was an jet plane and she made it from a picture....it was AWESOME! My favorite thing that she offers is the top of the cake. She told us to just go ahead and serve it instead of saving it, and then call her a week before our 1st anniversary and she would make us a new cake. How cool is that? Also, she has a great website for pictures of her work.

I don't know why people are saying she is hard to get in touch with... I had no trouble at all. They replied to my internet request the very next day.

I gave Amy a picture of a cake I found in a book that I fell in LOVE with. She replicated the cake EXACTLY, but put a personal spin on it so it would be something no one had seen before. She was absolutely AMAZING to work with... even designed the grooms cake because we were at a complete loss on his cake. The cakes were a lot less expensive than we thought they would be... about 3.50/slice. We also used Abbey Road Catering, who works out of the same kitchen as Amy Cullifer, so we didn't have to pay a deposit on the cake stands.

We didn't do the traditional chocolate cake for the groom and white for the bride... my cake was chocolate cake with chocolate mouse filling and chocolate ganache icing. The grooms cake was strawberry with creamcheese icing... both were the best cakes we have ever tasted in our lives! She also makes a free small cake for your 1 year anniversary. Our guests all had one slice of each because they were just THAT good!

Amy Cakes was professional, made beautiful cakes that were exactly what we were looking for, and most importantly tasted really good! The groom's cake looked like a box of cigars, and had a few of our older friends and family fooled at first glance! I was so happy I chose Amy Cakes. You have to book plenty early enough to get them, and they were pretty willing to work with my budget. I'd recommend them to any of my friends getting married!

Edit: We also ordered an extra "top tier" style cake for our first year anniversary- even for the little extra cost it was SO worth it- it was still absolutely delicious, plus this way it was fresh and just as amazing as it was on our wedding day. This brought back so many great memories and really made our one year anniversary feel special, so if it's an option for you, I would highly recommend it! We will probably continue to get one once a year- it's so tasty it's started a new tradition for us!

Amy Cakes did an amazing job on our wedding cake. Everyone absolutely loved the cake-we only had a small amount of leftovers (and thank goodness, because I wanted more when we got back from the honeymoon). They were extremely easy to work with, very responsive to any emails or calls I had and portrayed what I was looking for beautifully. They had dropped the cake off before I even arrived to the venue which was great because I didn't have to worry about it. I would highly recommend these sweet, talented people!

Amy cakes made us our 3- tier wedding cake on March 8th 2015 for 50 people. We had a marble cake with butter-cream icing and German filling. I got compliments for some of the guests that it was the best wedding cake they ever tasted. The cake was delivered on time and everything was executed professionally. We just showed a picture of a cake we had in mind and we got exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend.

The cake was AWESOME! It was the best tasting wedding cake I have ever had, not to mention the most beautiful. I have had more compliments on my cake than any other part of the wedding. We got the French vanilla cake with strawberry mousse and there was not a bite left at the end of the night. I just gave Amy a picture that I found online and she did exactly what I wanted, but EVEN better than the original. The groom's cake was a surprise, and I chose the football stadium of my husband's team, the AZ Cardinals. It was carrot, his favorite flavor, and the detail that she put it to it was amazing. One of our guests actually sent a picture to the team owner, and even he approved! You couldn't ask for a better cake on either account!

We were fully prepared to skimp on cake for our wedding. But then we tried Amy Cakes. Never have I had cake so delicious as Amy Cakes. They are certainly higher-end cakes, and even the more-affordable cupcakes are a little pricey. However. They are so totally worth it. The artistry of the team is amazing, but the tastiness of the cake is the best part. Olive, Amy's assistant, was a super responder to emails! Amy was awesome to work with, not pushy at all, willing to work within our budget and even helped talk us out of buying more cake than we needed.

Amy and her assistant, Olive, were great to work with! Our wedding cake was EXACTLY like the picture we brought in. The Groom's cake was missing a few details we asked for, but ultimately, the quality and the taste of both cakes was superb. Another neat thing about Amy is that on your one-year anniversary, she'll re-create the "top" of your cake -- so you don't have to worry about this detail on your wedding day.

Although it did take some time to get in touch with them, I can easily overlook all that because of the fabulous job they did on my cakes. With only three weeks notice, they made the cake of my dreams. In the picture of the cake I wanted, the cake decorator had used fondant. Amy was able to do the exact same thing with buttercream without any problems. It was so beautiful I hated to eat it. Although I was really glad I did. The next day, when we ate the few remaining slices with our party, the cake was just as moist and delicious as the night before.
And, she did a hilarious job with the armadillo grooms cake (red velvet interior, of course).

Amy did our wedding cake over five years ago, she worked around our budjet and made the cake of our dreams. We have used her for birthdays, showers, and holidays ever since. We have had the pleasure of watching her buisness grow over the years and even though she's busy we still recieve a quality cake every time! Even though it is hard to get in touch, I agree it is worth it in the end. The cakes are amazing in taste and proformance. We are thankful to have her in our community and apart of our special occations!

Since I was planning my wedding from across the country, Amy arranged my fabulous taste-testing in to-go boxes for the only day that I was in town. I was only disappointed that she only meets with brides on Wednesdays, so I was never actually able to meet her in person. She allowed my groom and I to use our wildest imagination to design an incredible groom's cake as well as a classic bride's cake. She is on the upper end of the price range in the area compared to other places I researched, but the cakes are by far the BEST I have ever tasted. Over all, worth it!

First of all, Amy has the best cake I have ever tasted. No one even comes close to her in terms of taste and quality. Hands down. However, she is kind of expensive. Our cake was $2.50/serving which was not bad at all.....until we found out that our design would require fondant and that makes it $4/serving!! Which is expensive! But when we talked to her about it (cause we did not find this out until 2 weeks before the wedding), she said she would keep it at $2.50.....so she took a "loss" on doing the cake, which was very nice of her. (because we were completely broke!) The only other thing about Amy that was psuedo annoying was that she is so hard to get in touch with. Her assistant, Olive, must only check the email once a week. And Amy only meets with potential clients on Tuesday....and for how in demand she is, there are not enough Tuesdays in a year!

Overall, I do reccommend her. She might be hard to get ahold of and on the expensive side, but her cake really is the best out there.

Our cakes were INCREDIBLE! The quality of these cakes are very good. My friends and family fought over who got the leftovers and it was sooooo yummy. The hardest part about using Amy Cakes is getting a hold of her. However, once you break the barrier, it is much easier to communicate. I didn't price her with other cake vendors, but from what I have heard she was a tad more expensive, however I feel it was worth it.
