A m a z i n g

I was getting ready to sign a contract for another photographer + that morning I was scrolling through Instagram and bam, there was one of Amy's photos. I was amazed. I immediately sent her an e-mail asking if she had out date available. I had myself convinced there was no way she was going to be available that day + I was going to have my hopes up just for them to call come crashing down. When I received the email that she WAS available, I knew it was meant to be. I knew I was supposed to randomly come across her picture + all the stars aligned. Even throughout planning out our small ceremony during Covid, Amy was amazing. She was so flexible + there wasn't ever anything that seemed to be a "problem". We always seemed to just roll with the punches. When it came time for the big day, she was nothing but amazing. She made both my husband + I feel so relaxed and we both loved her. I would recommend her over and over a thousand times + more. If you are looking for the best pictures you could ever ask for, Amy is your girl, I promise !

Amazing work!

AMAZING! AMAZING photographer!! I cannot speak highly enough of her work. It's unique, original, stunning, and gorgeous! Our photos came back and they were breathtaking. Our original photographer that came with the hotel got mixed and we were sold the wrong package/work, and long story short, I needed a photographer last minute. I believe I found her on instagram and WOW. Luckily, Amy primarily does elopements and moved her schedule around to make herself available to us. Her work is truly an art! I cannot thank her enough!

Picture Perfect!

Amy was great! She was able to work with us on short notice especially with adding a dog into the mix! Planning on where to go was very accommodating and creative. We were able to go to several locations which made for very different backgrounds and beautiful pictures. Amy was very personable and a pleasure to work with during a special occasion. Are pictures turned out amazing!

Lake Powell Elopement

If you’re on the fence about having an elopement, don’t be. It’ll be the best thing you do!
Being from England meant that we’d never been to Lake Powell previously, we thought it would be a bit of a nightmare. We Skyped a lot of different photographers and found some were a little too pushy for two awkward Brits! Once we found Amy, we both found it was like chatting to an old friend. Amy did a lot of the leg work with helping with permits, location scouting, and recommending our officiant. We pretty much just had to write our vows, remember the wedding rights, get dressed and turn up.

We decided to elope as part of a three week US road trip. In England, you must get married in a registered building for the wedding to be legal. We picked Lake Powell because you don’t get desert landscapes in England.

We had planned a sunrise wedding at Lake Powell, but as we left Monument Valley the day before, we witnessed a pretty epic desert storm, which followed us to Lake Powell. It did mean that we couldn’t have a sunrise ceremony, but thanks to Amy being adaptable, she rearranged the timeline, found the perfect spot for us to exchange our vows. The weather meant that our slot canyon was cancelled, thanks to Amy, we were able to get photos there the next day!

I’d happily recommend Amy to anyone who is thinking about eloping or having an intimate wedding. You won’t regret it!

Telluride Mountain Top Elopement

Amy was referred to us by our videographer, Whitney Milton Films, and she did not disappoint! We couldn’t be happier with our photos and she helped make the day so fun and really special. Our friends and family were blown away with the beauty she was able to capture. I highly recommend Amy for elopement photography!

Nothing Short of Absolute Perfection

Amy was the SWEETEST and so helpful with the photography, planning, venue, and literally anything else you can imagine. She’s a wonderful and easy person to work with and a stunningly talented photographer. Our pictures were better than we could have ever imagined. Amy came recommended to me by a friend after I had some not so pleasing experiences with a few other photographers here in Grand Junction. I messaged Amy a request to do engagement photos for us. Not even 30 mins later, I got a response and she was not only affordable but excited to photograph us. I asked her if we could also include our Fur baby and she was already brain storming ideas. Once she photographed us the first and and we received our engagement photos, I just fell in love with her talent, professionalism, and ability to make you feel super comfortable. I would recommend Amy to anyone and everyone! I will never use another photographer!

You know you chose he right photographer for your wedding when your guests start complimenting Amy before the night is even over! Numerous of our guest immediately noticed how Amy was all over that venue, not standing still for more than a minute capturing moments from our special day from every single angle. Amy did a beautiful job on our pictures. She captured the spirit and romance of our day. She truly has artistic talent and created soft, gorgeous, and incredibly stunning pictures for us. We asked Amy to take pictures of our family during a visit to Dolores, Colo. during the holidays. She was incredibly friendly, easy to make plans with and she put us at ease immediately when we met and began an outdoor session by the river. Our group was made up of four adults, three kids and a dog (pups are sometimes prone to making photo shoots difficult, but it wasn't difficult for Amy) and her angles, locales and placements were seamless. The photos turned out great and the snazzy USB drive to store the photos digitally was a nice touch. If Amy hasn't won a photography award yet, the people that hand out awards are making mistakes.

Amy was an absolute dream for all of the photography she did for us. She did both our engagement and wedding photos, and we couldn't be more pleased with the process and results. Amy did a great job of making my husband I feel comfortable in front of the camera so that we took the best pictures possible. She spent all day with us doing our engagement photos taking us around to different sites to make sure that we had a variety of beautiful photos to choose from. She does this great thing where she sends you a couple of edited photos the day after the shoot so that you get a feel for how things are going to turn out. It's just one example of the amount of care and attention to detail Amy puts into this job. Every time she sent us something, whether it was a digital copy of our photos, prints, or a usb stick with our photos, we were impressed with the level of professionalism and creativity she displayed.

We couldn't have picked a better photographer for our wedding. Amy was extremely flexible, even offering to come to Texas when we briefly considered changing our venue 6 months before the wedding. A destination wedding was a stressful thing to plan, but the photography was one thing that I never worried about. Amy made everyone feel at ease and took the most stunning photos. I had multiple guests comment on how friendly and enthusiastic Amy was. It felt like I had a friend I could trust there photographing our wedding - she didn't miss a single important shot and she caught some beautiful candid moments between both my husband and I and our guests. I would most definitely recommend Amy to anyone reading this review - you will not be disappointed!

Amy was absolutely phenomenal. Working with her for our wedding was stress free. She responded to all of my emails and phone calls promptly throughout the process. We had a wedding out of state and she flew across the country, rented her own car to get wherever we needed her to be on time and hassle free, which was one less thing to think about and completely convenient. Amy was very accommodating to all of our needs. She was on time and dressed professionally day of and took every picture we wanted and then some. It is completely obvious that she is passionate about what she is doing, wearing a smile on her face all day and working so hard to get the perfect shots. It shows in every single picture she takes and the hours spent editing away afterwards. The photos are stunning. Her quality of work is the best there is out there and I would recommend her to anyone who wants top of the line photography. I know she will be my go to photographer, Amy has it all!

Amy was truly a pleasure to work with. I felt as though she was one of our good friends. Everyone at our wedding loved her and she did above and beyond what we could have imagined. Amy is an amazing individual and a very talented photographer! She is fun, flexible, and professional all at the same time. There were many things I was stressed about on my wedding day, but the photography definately was not one of them! Her creative view on things make for excellent memories captured on film. Amy was an absolute find! She was referred through another photographer who was unable to make it to our wedding. Amy flew all the way from Colorado to our wedding in Maine. She was the most pleasant person to have around and makes everyone feel comfortable which leads to great photography. We have seen a handful of the post wedding photos and they are beautiful. Amy photographed our wedding on 07/20/13, as well as doing a boudoir photo-shoot with me the day prior. I am so happy I found her! She was an absolute joy to work with! She is a fun vibrant photographer and her pictures are gorgeous. She has endless ideas for poses and makes everyone feel at ease. We cannot wait to see how all of our pictures turned out. I know she was able to capture our day in a way that reflects our personalities and tells a great story!

I only wish we didn't live in Texas or else I'd be able to recommend her for all of my friends' weddings, engagements, new babies, etc!

Awesome photos! All our family and friends enjoyed her company. All the family and us say the photos are phenomenal. The pictures were posted online within the same week and we were notified as soon as they were posted. The full disk with all the photos was released and mailed to us in a timely manner as well. Amy served as my wedding photographer in 2010, and she blew me away as a true artist and professional. Her eye for color and composition was one-of-a-kind! I am thrilled with my wedding photos, and confident that they will stand the test of time. Not only are the photos gorgeous, but she was personable and engaging with my wedding guests. Amy is a wonderful person to work with! She is very easy going and more than willing to work with you to capture the moments you want to remember! She is very talented, quick to respond, reliable, responsible, and she is able to get your photos returned to you in a timely manner! Amy is such an amazing photographer! Having known Amy for several years I have had the opportunity to watch her grow in photography. She is always striving to lean more and to satisfy her clients. Choosing aBluestar photography for my own wedding was the best choice! She is a photographer that will do what YOU want. Amy was great and very easy to work with. We have great photos with good styling, it seems like she caught every moment. We didn't have specific places in mind for photos, I recommend you do to make the most of the time. And I wish we were able to connect for day before shots, but our schedule got in the way. Very happy as a whole!

Amy doesn't just take pictures she transform a simple beautiful picture into a work of art. She is very caring in what you want done and does exactly that but also adds a final Amy touch to it. My family were amazed by both or engagement and wedding picture. We haven't yet seen copies of our wedding pictures yet but from the online album I'm sure they are going to be just as beautiful. Amy is very good at capturing the small things and details, things you would never imagine to have pics taken of. When I look at my wedding pictures it is as if I'm reliving that amazing day all over again, the tears of joy and the happy feelings I had felt that day return which I believe is the most important thing. Thanks to Amy we will have that amazing day forever, on our walls, in our albums, and posted for all friends and family to see. As for her flexibility she was great she traveled one direction about 2 hrs from her home to take our engagement pictures and then months later she traveled 2 hrs from her home in a different direction to capture our special day. She is very kind and gives even the frantic bride a sense of calmness that everything is going to be perfect. Her patience was impeccable as we had three toddlers in our wedding all going through terrible two's haha but she was still able to get pics of them and some of them were some of my favorites. Amy values her work and she does a great job as is seen from the final product. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone that wants more then pictures on there wall, if they are wanting art that will bring back the emotions at the time taken she is your lady for sure!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great, talented, sweet lady. We were so fortunate to have her capture our special day and to get to know her:) We are very impressed and satisfied with her services!!!!!
