Stop your searching now and hire Amy. Amy (and her husband) went above and beyond at our wedding. It was pouring rain on our big day. She asked if we still wanted our first look outside and when we said yes she did not hesitate for a second. She put on her boots and went right to work finding the perfect locations for our pictures. And that she did. She was so much fun to work with and her experience shows. She was like a wedding planner and photographer in one! I was planning our wedding from across the country during the Covid pandemic and Amy was the most integral part of making it all work. I can’t express enough how thankful we were to have her. -

Amy is fantastic! We hired Amy as our wedding photographer. Shortly after booking Amy we traveled to Vermont and had our engagement photos taken. Immediately after meeting Amy and her husband, we felt like we had known them for years. They are so warm and so much fun to be around. They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and it really showed in our pictures. Unfortunately like many other couples, we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. A year and a half later when our wedding weekend finally arrived, Amy made it feel like it was just yesterday that we spent the day shooting our engagement pictures. She put us at ease, and created a seamless schedule for our big day. Both my husband and I have big families and Amy and her team were able to keep everyone on schedule, and captured all of the photos that we had hoped to receive. It was such a relief having her there to keep us on track, so I didn’t have to worry! Most importantly, the photos are beautiful, and we know that we will enjoy them and the memories they bring us for years to come. -

My husband and I can't sing enough praises for Amy Bennett and team! Quality, expert photography was a priority for our wedding, and from our first conversation we knew we wanted to work with Amy. She's very experienced and knows her way around many popular engagement photo spots and wedding venues in the area. Neither my husband or I are very comfortable having our photos taken, but Amy and her husband made us feel at ease at the get-go during our engagement shoot at Shelburne Farms.
Our wedding ended up being postponed over a year due to the pandemic, and Amy was so understanding and helpful with us pivoting our plans. She even came up with a solution to live-stream our wedding when we had to downsize the in-person guest count! She and her team impressed everyone at our wedding with their professionalism, organization and even expertise in non-photography common wedding problems (such as fixing uncooperative boutonnieres). We now have beautiful photos and the live-stream video to reminisce on the day for which we waited much longer than planned.
In short, we highly recommend Amy Bennett Photography for any wedding/special occasion! -

Amy is PHENOMENAL!! She and her husband David shot our wedding last month at The Woodstock Inn and Resort, and let me tell you, they KILLED IT!!!
We are from Rhode Island, so when we started our vendors search, we had to rely on our wedding coordinators recommendations and the reviews couples posted. Amy was so incredible from the start, we booked her before even meeting her. All of our "meetings" were done over the phone or through email, covering every detail and timeline.
Two weeks prior to the wedding, when we were finalizing the timeline with all the vendors, Amy sent out a detailed timeline of when she and David were going to arrive, when and where photos were to be taken, and who was part of those photos, to all of our vendors and wedding coordinator, so EVERYONE was on the same page. Our wedding flowed so seamlessly because of her coordination and attention to detail with everyone. Literally, not a single thing went wrong during our special day, and it's in large parts to her organization and insane skills.
She and David are HILARIOUS. My husband and I are not naturals in front of a camera and we were having the GREATEST time. We couldn't stop laughing and it made it all the more special.
We received our photos 3 weeks after our wedding - incredible, I know - and let me tell you, I never thought I could love our wedding photos as much as I do. Amy made us look so good!!!! We were so happy with them, we submitted them to The Woodstock Inn and Resort to be part of their wedding gallery.
Amy captured the greatest day of our lives and I cannot stress enough for all the soon to be brides, searching for a photographer, to hire Amy Bennett. -

Amy and her husband did an incredible job shooting our March 2019 wedding at Mountain Top Inn. She has a great personality that makes her easy to work with, and I was comfortable every step of the way- especially on the day of. I was impressed with her ability to keep us organized without making us feel rushed or forced. I love how our pictures came out and was so pleased with how fast they were delivered! -

Amy is fabulous!
Amy is absolutely FABULOUS!
Choosing a stellar wedding photographer was so important to me, since my wedding photographs are one of the few things from that day that will last forever. In fact, in my view the wedding photographer is the most important vendor you hire.
I did a lot of research, looking through photographers' online look books. I was immediately drawn to Amy's pictures. I scheduled a call with her, and when we spoke it felt like I was talking to myself because she understood my vision completely. I knew right away that she was "the one."
In the days leading up to our wedding she was incredibly responsive, helping me plan the day's schedule and which photographs would be taken when. She also offered helpful suggestions, since she's a pro at the whole wedding thing and this is the first (and hopefully only!) wedding I'd ever planned.
On the actual day of my wedding, she and her husband (her second shooter) showed up nearly an hour early, jumping in to photograph my accessories and also capturing getting ready pictures. They worked together seamlessly to capture all of the wonderful moments throughout the day, even climbing through bushes in order to ensure they got the best shots. When they needed to direct people they did, always politely but firmly, making sure the pictures got done just the way I wanted them while ensuring my guests were also enjoying the experience.
And wow, did they get some incredible pictures! I am so happy with my wedding photography, and I can't recommend Amy enough!
And as an additional bonus, she and her husband are a lot of fun! It's the most important day of your life, and you spend a lot of time that day with your photographers. By the end of the day we all felt like the best of friends, and they really added to my happiness that day.
That's all I'll say in this review, but I promise I could go on and on about how wonderful Amy Bennett is! You'll be so happy you hired her! -

Easy to work with and beautiful photos!
Amy took our elopement photos almost a year ago and we are so in love with them! She was very easy to communicate with and did a good job at making us feel comfortable even as two introverts who are more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. She had the right combination of directing us and letting us be our goofy selves.
We were extra lucky that she is a Burlington native (we are from Massachusetts) and she knew a bunch of good spots to take us for a varied portfolio of photos in one single session.
I regularly use the photos for cards, prints, and hopefully a book someday! I definitely would recommend Amy and her gorgeous photos. -

Amy is the best
My family and I absolutely loved working with Amy and her husband. I immediately clicked with Amy when I called to inquire about her services over the phone and I am so happy that we chose her. Amy is the best communicator. She kept me in the loop prior to the wedding and answered all of my (many) questions very quickly. She is highly organized. She covers all the details and made our day feel like it ran so smoothly and easy! She is so sweet, we were all friends with her by the end of the night. Most importantly, we couldn't be more thrilled with our wedding photos. She turned them around in 3 weeks! We are over the moon and could not recommend her more. Best wedding decision we ever made was having Amy do our photography! -

Amy Bennett is a singular wedding photographer: Professional, artistic, efficient, organized…yet Amy brings something special to the table that other professionals lack: She becomes part of the feeling and emotion of the day, and magically imbues her work with the tactile, vivid energy of being there, deep in the love. She not only captures the images, she somehow bottles the ambient feelings, so you can feel the day, not just see it, so you are transported back into the moment.
This is a rare quality, one that gifted painters sometimes have…the ability to instill energy and feeling into a painting or a photograph, so that the viewer can feel the emotion reverberate in his or her body. Amy’s craft is not simply her work, it is her Art, her special gift in this world.
Amy requires her couples to come to an “engagement shoot” sometime before the wedding, and at first we didn’t want this—we are in our 50s and didn’t feel the need to announce our engagement--but we learned that it is really a session to enable Amy to get to know her subjects, to see how we photograph, to learn who we are. It should be called a “preparation shoot” and it is absolutely helpful and beneficial. In this session, we got to know Amy and learned how she works, and she got to know us, to feel us.
And a word about how she works: Amy is absolutely organized, and deftly guides her couples through their day, so that they spend less time having photos taken and more time having fun. She is a leader, not afraid to ask someone to get out of a shot she is taking, firm and professional and in charge. Her photos during the day went fast and crisply, so well-oiled is her technique and flow. This ability to take charge and get the photos done is critical on a day when epic bedlam is the happy state of affairs; Amy is the chief of staff who keeps everyone on task, as essential as a wedding planner.
Amy communicates well in advance of the wedding, sending checklists and questionnaires, and has several planning phone conferences before the wedding, so she knows what you want. This planning is essential. She follows through and is efficient and clear in her role, yet she has time to be moved by the ceremony itself…she cried at our wedding because she loved our vows so much.
Amy’s industry knowledge of how to get the best photos made us feel at ease and comfortable in her good and capable hands. She gently guided us during the reception to the next shot, without interrupting our joy or our flow.
Finally and most importantly, Amy’s shots are well composed and artistic, even painterly in their composition. She worked the landscape and all the details effortlessly, producing photos that take our breath away. As mentioned above, by our wedding day she knew us, she felt us, she became part of the joy, and that joy is palpable in her work product. She wasn’t just our photographer, she was one of our guests, one of the family! One of my favorite non-Amy photos is an IPhone shot a guest took of me and my groom, and Amy whisking into the space to get a photo of us…I love it because Amy is in it, she became that important to us!
Amy Bennett is a wedding photographer above any other. She loves what she does, and you not only see that, you feel it in her preparation, her work, her art. Hire her if you want ethereal wedding photographs that transport you back in time, back to your day, like visiting Brigadoon.

Everything I've ever wanted
I originally chose Amy because her photos stood out to me compared to other photographers. The way the people look natural and relaxed, the colors and clarity, how she works with the background. And she did not disappoint. I am absolutely in love with my pictures!!! I got married at Killington vt, and having the mountains and scenic views incorporated was important to me. She was able to capture the views perfectly but also still having us stand out. She captured special moments, made us feel relaxed and comfortable and every pictures send to me I love. I look at my pictures and feel I am back to that day. She was also so much fun to have around and you can tell she works fast and knows the right place to be at the right time. She and her husband work as a team and added to how much fun and happy the day was. I would recommend her to everyone i know. -

Not enough words to thank Amy!
Amy is UNBELIEVABLE! I can't say enough about her talent, and who she is as a person. As soon as I saw her work and had a quick phone call with her I knew I had found the perfect photographer. When we met in person for the engagement photos she made me and my Husband feel so comfortable and made it so so fun. Between that and the wedding day Amy was above and beyond - she was my go to with questions I had (not regarding photography) around wedding related items. Day of the wedding she kept the energy high, and didn't make us feel like our day was a photo shoot. She got all the photos done quickly so we could get back to enjoying everyone's company. The photos turned out absolutely beyond perfect. I have friends who already are talking about having Amy photograph their wedding "one day" :D If you are looking for a photographer look no further!!!! THANK YOU AMY!!! -

Amy & David were hands down the most incredible humans to work with throughout our entire wedding process. Amy was friendly, flexible, and TALENTED. Her photography skills are evident the moment she eases your nerves and starts to shoot your love story. I never in my life would have imagined having such beautiful documentation of my wedding day. Amy understands how to work efficiently, have fun, and remain organized (a great combination). Amy can vibe with any personality to make sure that portrait shots run smoothly. She also prioritizes the types of pictures you want from your day -- I really appreciated that personalization. Amy & David made our day run smoothly -- having two people shooting different groups and perspectives was important to me. As a result, I have thousands (LITERALLY THOUSANDS) of incredible photos that allow me to relive my favorite day. My advice to anyone that asks is to pick one aspect of your wedding that is super important to you, and budget for it. I knew that photography was top of my list, I found Amy on the Knot and took a peek at her beautiful galleries on her websites, and was instantly sold. I didn't think it would get better until I met her in person and her hilarious husband, David. They make a great team, and I would pay them twice the price for the work that they did both during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. I have beautiful photos that will last a lifetime, and I can't thank Amy enough for a job well done. BOOK HER! You will NOT regret it :) -

The absolute best wedding photographer!
I can honestly say that one of the best decisions we made about our wedding was hiring Amy Bennett for our photography. She has a gift and talent for capturing the moment and making everyone feel so relaxed and comfortable. My daughter and son-in-law seriously fell in love with Amy and her "caddy" Dave. And that is easy to do. The quality of her work is phenomenal but most importantly, the energy and warmth that she brings along with her kindness are just as outstanding. I can go on and on but the bottom line is that Amy Bennett should be your number draft pick - you want her on your team!!!! -

I can now say that Amy’s photos are all as good as what you see on her pages... even better actually. From discussions on budget to engagement photos and wedding, Amy delivered in an amazing way! Not only were our photos great (and shared with us less than two weeks after our wedding!!), but our guests made a point of telling us what a great photographer we had... commenting on her warmth and putting people at ease. Prior to our wedding, I described one of our primary reasons for selecting Amy as her being “guest friendly”, and she didn’t disappoint! Amy, while seemingly disappearing into the scenery, ensured we captured the photos we didn’t even know we wanted! Geoff and I highly recommend Amy Bennett Photography.

She made my fiance and I feel so comfortable during our engagement session and was so approachable and funny. We shot at Shelburne Farms and Amy spent her time capturing each shot and did not rush us. Furthermore, she really captures your natural self and does not spend a lot of time posing you which is nice. We just got our photos back and we absolutely love them. My husband and I were married this summer, amid the pandemic. Our day was nothing like we had planned for and it wasn’t what we hoped for either. But it was as perfect as it could’ve been, and we owe so much of that to Amy. I first reached out to Amy in the spring when our initial wedding plans were in flux and we thought we would be okay to simply postpone until the summer. We needed a new photographer, and Amy was highly recommended online and on social media. From our first correspondance, I felt confident in and comfortable with Amy. She always answered my questions and offered great ideas for how to make the most of our day. We eventually had to change our wedding again, opting for tiny backyard ceremony with immediate family only. Amy was so supportive and thoughtful as we planned out the day. She was responsive and made me feel much more positive and optimistic about the day than I would have, given the circumstances. The day of, Amy was so helpful and guided us through more than just photos. It was a pleasure to work with Amy, and she captured our wedding day SO beautifully. Amy Bennett Photography did not disappoint! As an out-of-state couple looking for just the right photographer who would understand the look we were going for, have strong communication skills, fair pricing, AND simply be a great person to work with we HIT THE JACKPOT with Amy! Like so many others, our original wedding date was a casualty of Covid, with rescheduling and new plans for nearly everything. Amy was encouraging, supportive, flexible, and "all in" from day #1. With so many things to think, plan, and worry about Amy Bennett Photography was not one of them! She and her second shooter, David arrived promptly, we professional, took a wide variety of photos, and were on their A-game for our wedding. Our pictures arrived quickly and everything was just so simple! She even went out of her way to connect me with a colleague who does some specialty- photo enhancing work. I cannot recommend Amy and David enough-- 5 stars for sure! *****
