Perfectly Captured Our Day

We knew from her portfolio Amy was the absolute perfect choice for our wedding photography, but actually working with her was above and beyond what we expected. From our consultation all the way through receiving our photos, Amy's communication was detailed and thoughtful. She answered every question, took time to get to know us, and helped resolve any snags that came up in our process quickly. Her experience (especially with our venue) was invaluable to us on the wedding day-- she helped us make on the fly decisions and understood our vision and executed it perfectly. Many of our wedding guests have commented on how they felt Amy was always around getting photos of everyone, and her hard work showed in the beautiful gallery she delivered. We are beyond thrilled with our photos, Amy captured the vibe of the day and all our loved ones perfectly. It's also a bonus that her values shine in her work.

Amy was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind and professional every step of the way. She gave us great advice before and during the wedding, and she made the day as stress free as possible. She always responded quickly when we needed to get in touch. We thought her prices were very fair, and we absolutely loved the finished product! We will treasure our photos forever. Inclusive, professional, personable, and delivers an amazing product!

We can’t recommend Amy enough as a wedding photographer. Even before booking her, we loved how inclusive her portfolio was and how we could see couples like us represented in her work. She was great at communicating with us through the entire process, including initial questions, payment reminders, schedule creation, travel parameters (the wedding was on a Sunday in Buffalo, NY), and day of updates. We got to meet up in person with Amy when we were in town, and she alleviated any of the stress and questions we had throughout the wedding planning process. When our wedding day arrived, Amy demonstrated her amazing ability to navigate location changes and make the most of different indoor and outdoor spaces. Our April wedding arrived with some rain, and she helped us adapt with clear umbrellas on hand and checking in with how much outdoor time/locations we felt comfortable with. Despite our ceremony having to move inside, Amy made us feel at ease, never rushing us and still keeping us on schedule. Throughout the whole day she would keep checking in to ensure we got any additional shots we wanted, including some post dinner shots that are some of our favorites! And last, but certainly not least, the photos themselves. The quality of the photos was amazing, and there was plenty of variety in them. We loved the photos of us, but also really enjoyed that she took pictures of all of our guests as well. If you’re looking for a talented photographer with tons of experience, and who will put you at ease during a stressful time, Amy is the one to choose. We can't wait to book her again for future life milestones!

Amy authentically captured the essence of warmth and love that pervaded our day!

If I could give Amy a thousand stars I would. I have been following her for years hoping she would be available when the time finally came for me to get married because her photos always seem to capture so much authenticity, personality, and warmth. When my husband and I made the decision to throw a small backyard wedding just three weeks later, I figured it would be impossible that she would happen to be available, but by some miracle she was! Not only was she available, but as the first vendor we booked, she provided invaluable insight and recommendations that really helped make planning our wedding in just three weeks possible! On the actual day, she was an absolute professional, working with a tight schedule and repeatedly adapting in an unusual and small space. She collaborated so well with our other vendors. Most importantly, she was kind, thoughtful, and surrounded us with positive energy. I was in the middle of a course of chemotherapy and she really went above and beyond to ensure that she wasn't over extending me. There was one group photo that I started to talk myself out of taking and I so appreciate her encouragement for us to take it because it is by far my favorite picture of the day!! Now, our pictures: 1000 stars, they are beyond perfect. My husband and I are NOT photogenic people, but seriously we look like hollywood celebrities in these photos. I have truly never felt so beautiful in my life. I remember not understanding some of the spots she had us stop to take pictures and when you see the final product, it's because she has an artists eye for perfect lighting. In addition to the posed pictures, we have the most wonderful collection of candids of all our wedding guests. Amy authentically captured the essence of warmth and love that pervaded our day. I will treasure these pictures forever. Amy, I cannot thank you enough for everything!!!

Phenomenal!!!

We have had the pleasure of working with Amy twice. She captured our engagement photos just over 3 years ago and then our wedding in June, this year. All of the photos are amazing! Working with Amy is also a pleasure. When we were looking for a photographer, Amy responded quickly and communicated clearly. Over the past three years, she has consistently done that. Due to her vast experience, Amy had wonderful recommendations for locations to capture our first look at the Hilton Columbus Downtown and throughout the Columbus Zoo where we got married! Also, since we wanted to capture as many moments as possible during our ceremony and reception, Amy recommended adding a second photographer colleague of hers during those hours. Between them, every moment was captured. If you have any doubts, please look through the other reviews and posted photos. I personally don’t believe you could have a better experience than with Amy!

Exceptional Photographer, Inclusive and Professional

Amy Ann did an amazing job with our wedding in June 2024. Photography went so smoothly the day of and her experience and professionalism impressed us and our families on the wedding day. She was constantly able to find cool spots to shoot and was so great at disarming us and getting us to photograph naturally. She also did a great job of handling some difficult family members, which is not the easiest thing to do

We love that she publicly supports same-sex weddings and it was really important to us to have her as our photographer so the same-sex couples in our families would feel welcome. Thank you, Amy Ann!

Amy delivered the most authentic documentation of our wedding!

Amy was the best photographer I have ever worked with! We booked her for my wedding photoshoot early in advance since I immediately fell in love with her style once I saw her profile. The vibrant color, the candid emotion, and effortless charm are unmatched and exactly what I am looking for. To get a sense of the experience, we also work together for our pre-wedding photos at Ohio State campus. Amy showed genuine care about our stories and needs and make my camera-shy husband very comfortable throughout the process. She knows the campus and all the good shooting spots very well so the process was very seamless. Similarly, on the wedding day, even though the timeline was very tight, we felt completely at ease knowing Amy will capture all the important moments and she definitely delivered beyond our expectations! We love the authenticity of every photo. We felt so much joy and was reminded of all the emotions on our wedding day when we look at the photos together and that is something completely priceless.

Two Wife Wedding

Our priority was to find an inclusive wedding photographer who was LGBT friendly and who captured real emotion in candids. Amy did just that! Amy is the best!

Amy has wedding photography down to a science, but she’s also an incredible artist! Her communication was always prompt, and her emails had very specific instructions that were easy to follow. We used Amy for an engagement shoot in the Spring with multiple locations, and she was very accommodating to make sure we got the shots we envisioned (and MANY more based on her guidance). Amy also shot our rehearsal dinner and our wedding. She asked us questions about the types of photos we wanted, how to incorporate family and different groupings of people, and she absolutely delivered! The more “staged” photos were phenomenal, and we will cherish the candids she captured for the rest of our lives. We love that she delivers the photos digitally so that we can print, add to our digital picture frames, and share easily with family. We highly recommend Amy as a photographer for any occasion, and we are so grateful to have had her as a part of our love story!

The best decision we made, other than getting married of course!

We were drawn to Amy by her previous work at our wedding venue and specifically her twilight cityscape shot. We had one request of her to get something similar on our special night and my oh my did she deliver! Not only did she get this shot, we were ecstatic about our entire gallery. We were grinning ear to ear because our day went by so quickly and she captured some very special moments we had completely forgot about. Her work truly tells the story and we are able to relive the day through our photos. The three most important things about our day were location, food, and photography and we struck gold with Amy! We couldn’t be happier with our choice. She was so helpful with day of planning, and was the fastest vendor to respond to any questions or concerns. I am certain this won't be our last time working together with Amy. Our gallery walls are slowly running out of space with our engagement and wedding photos she captured. AMAZING! Will hire for all future milestones!

One word: AMAZING. Amy has been amazing in all our times working with her over the past 18 months. In May of 2021 we asked her to join us in Hocking Hills for our elopement, she captured the day and our love beautifully. Being a queer couple we wanted to make sure we found a photographer who was accepting and would make us comfortable. My wife and I are not big picture takers and once we got to taking photos, she made us so incredibly comfortable. We laughed through our time and she captured it wonderfully. A year later we had our wedding reception and I was 8 months pregnant. Anyone who has been pregnant knows you may not be feeling the most beautiful but Amy’s pictures captured the day. You could see the love and joy in all the photos! A bonus that she captured me during such a special time. Finally, this past month we welcomed our daughter and we knew Amy would be the one to capture this new milestone. She was upfront that her newborn style wasn’t posed or ‘traditional’ and we knew she would capture it amazingly. She did not disappoint. Our little one did not want to be put down but she captured our family beautifully. All that to say, we’ve had huge life moments for our family in the last 18 months and Amy has been there and captured it all. We will continue to have her join us for milestones to come and cannot recommend her enough for all your photography needs!

There is no one better.

Amy is an absolutely exceptional photographer and human being. Amy pours her heart into her work, and it shows in all of the beautiful photographs she produces. Amy recently photographed my wedding and also did our engagement photos a few years back. Both are some of my most treasured photos. On top of producing gorgeous images, Amy is someone you want around on your wedding day. She’s an amazing planner and problem-solver. She’s also extremely experienced with all kinds of weddings and has an abundance of helpful advice to help the day go smoothly. Her communication leading up to the wedding and afterward was amazing (she’s very prompt with replying to her emails and is VERY detail-oriented, which I loved since I tend to write long, detailed emails). Lastly, it was important to me to hire vendors whose values matched my own. Amy in an inclusive photographer who regularly shoots weddings for all kinds of people, including LGBTQ+ weddings. This was extremely important to me, and just adds to my already-high opinion of Amy. I could not recommend Amy more for anyone getting married. She is so, so worth it!

She’s amazing!

Amy was so much fun and she works her butt off, yet she makes it look easy! My new husband also is a wedding photographer and he knows the hard work involved. We were married in a vintage barn and Amy flew around, unnoticed, capturing different shots from interesting vantage points. She used the beautiful texture of the farm and surrounding fields very well. We have only had a sneak peek, but we can’t wait to get our gallery. Above and Beyond

Words will not serve as validation enough to choose Amy and her business. From our very first meeting all the way until gallery delivery, she was extremely helpful, friendly, and fun! She helped us so many times along way thinking and doing things I would have never thought of. Amy even popped over for our rehearsal to familiarize herself with the space since we were the first wedding at our venue. She was more than willing to accommodate all the locations we wanted to take photos during our time as well. More than anything, we were blown away by her photos. She truly captured every piece and part that was important to us on our day. Between our engagement and wedding, she managed to place into photos who we are and what we love as a couple. Worth the wait

Nothing is more important to me than capturing our wedding and making sure no detail is left to be neglected. Amy is Incredible!

Amy is fantastic. She is responsive, professional, and a true artist. She photographed our engagement session and our wedding ceremony and did an amazing job capturing every detail. She is also extremely flexible and accommodating. We had to reschedule our engagement session a couple times due to inclement weather, and she was great about moving things around to find a good time. On the day of our wedding, Amy was a calming presence who helped keep everything and everyone on track. We are planning to have a larger wedding reception in a year or two and can't wait to work with Amy again to photograph that occasion. We can't recommend Amy Ann Photography enough!

The Best Photographer You Can Find!

Choosing Amy Ann Photography to be our wedding photographer was hands down the absolute best decision we ever made! From day one, Amy showed such genuine enthusiasm, inclusiveness, and excitement to work with us. We wanted to utilize multiple locations for our engagement session, but when the pandemic and stay at home order was announced, she made incredible effort to accommodate us and make our session at one location happen sooner than originally scheduled to ensure we had some pictures done based on the unpredictability of the pandemic. Once the order was lifted, she again went out of her way to schedule another session at our other desired locations. However, we got stuck in a thunderstorm and were unable to get pictures at all the places we wanted. So, again, Amy offered to meet us a third time for another session, to make sure we could have what we envisioned to make us happy. Amy's willingness to accommodate us continued to our wedding day. She did so much to ensure our wedding day was as perfect and special as it could be and what we envisioned, especially during a pandemic. Countless times, Amy went above and beyond, not only with her photography, but with her sincerity to make us feel comfortable and happy! She is incredibly responsive, receptive, open minded, and just overwhelmingly talented! Amy's ability to make us feel relaxed and comfortable allowed us to truly be present in the moment with each other, oftentimes, forgetting she was even there taking pictures. She practices what she preaches; whether it's through various correspondence or while she's photographing, Amy makes you feel like you are her only client, giving you such personal and undivided attention. The high quality of her work, professionalism, and her great reputation showed every step of the way. Best of all, we have found our lifetime photographer! She's just amazing! You want Amy as your photographer!

You want Amy to be your photographer. Trust me. She's everything you could hope for in a photographer: incredibly talented, professional, punctual, organized, helpful, and flexible. She's somehow able to step up and call the shots when needed as well as melt into the background when someone else needs to be the center of attention. I knew from coming across her photography on Instagram (@amyannphoto) that she would actually capture US and who we really are, rather than highly stylized/posed shots. She can do that too, if that's who you are - we're just much more laid back, silly, happy, wallflower type people. But on that note, we are both generally non-photogenic people, so I was worried that we would look (and feel) very awkward & generally uncomfortable in the pictures. Lucky for us, Amy is fantastic and helped us with things like natural arm placements & positioning, fixing displaced clothing, etc.

We had her shoot an engagement session plus family session with families of both the bride and groom. This was a lot like cat herding, but Amy rose to the challenge and knocked it out of the park. (On a crazy hot & humid day in the park, no less!) Not only did we end up with GORGEOUS engagement photos, but all of our parents/siblings/in-laws/grandparents have amazing family photos - which earned us major brownie points!!

Our big wedding plans were cancelled due to Covid-19, but I knew that even if we couldn't have anything else, we wanted to make sure we kept Amy! She was so supportive & flexible as we figured out our new plan. After a bit of flip-flopping, we ended up keeping our original date but shifting to a zoom wedding in our backyard with no guests physically present. Amy went above & beyond by coming out the day before to capture us delivering "remote wedding kits" to our local family members, as well as helping me find a hair stylist at the last minute! She was so supportive about mask wearing & social distancing, which was very important to me.

Our photos are amazing. Amy was able to capture all of the love, laughter, and even tears on our special day. I really can't emphasize enough that you want her to be your photographer. We hired her because I knew she could take nice pictures, but now I feel like I've made a friend and worked with an incredibly talented artist.

Amy Is Great!

She's an amazing photographer! Covid-19 ruined our original plan for our wedding so we quickly planned a small ceremony. Unfortunately, our original photographer lives in Texas, and with our ceremony taking place in Ohio, it didn’t seem feasible to fly the photographer out for a small, short ceremony, especially in the midst of the pandemic. Luckily, I had started following Amy Ann Photography on Instagram a while back, and she immediately came to mind when considering a more local photographer. It was less than a month out, but we reached out to Amy, trying not to get our hopes up. We were in luck, and Amy was available on our day! Even though it was not as we originally planned it, looking back on the day now, it exceeded our expectations in so many ways, and Amy was such a big part of that. We could not have been happier with her work, and we are so grateful to have the beautiful photos that she took to look back on and remember that perfect day. Amy was so easy to work with every step of the way, not to mention responsive, kind, and unbelievably talented.

Classy, Exceptional, and Perfect

Working with Amy for my wedding was a joy. She was attentive to all the details leading up to and on the day of my wedding, meaning I didn't have to think about photography. She listened to all my requests and concerns and ensured they were met. Photography at my wedding was the second most important aspect to me (getting married being #1, obviously) -- she made it seamless. I appreciate how she flexed when my morning of hair and makeup took twice as long as we expected and we still got all my photos in. She's amazing and I'd work with her again in a heartbeat. Prepared, Proactive, and Fun!

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Amy! At every point in the planning process, she helped us make informed decisions about photography (and scheduling and vendors and so much more!) and was so proactive in deadlines and decisions that needed to be made. Truly, I never worried once whether or not something was taken care of, because I knew Amy was on it! Amy's calm demeanor, flexible attitude, attention to detail, and warmth and kindness made the hundreds of photos we took on our wedding day feel easy, pain free, and fun! I love the way she captured candid moments and the brightness of her photos reflected the vibrance and joy of our special day.

Best photographer around!

Amy was an absolute dream to work with! She went above and beyond for my husband and I throughout the entire wedding planning process and we cannot thank her enough. Our wedding day had many unexpected and stressful surprises and Amy was a calm and supportive presence through it all. I can’t imagine having any other photographer to capture such a special day for us! All of the photos from our engagement session and wedding day were so beautiful and we HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Everything I hoped for!

In a day that can be super stressful and busy, Amy manages to find those moments of calm. She was a support for me the whole day when I was being pressured to move my wedding inside and didn’t want to. She encouraged me to take the risk and keep it outside, and it was totally worth it. She found these amazing opportunities to sneak out of our reception and capture moments of me and my husband all by ourselves. She captured our wedding exactly as I had always imagined. I can not recommend Amy enough. She is kind, funny, supportive, imaginative, and everything you would ever want in the vendor you will spend the most time with on your big day.

Amy is absoluately amazing to work with! My wife and I agreed that our wedding photographer was one investment that needed to be perfect and Amy did not disappoint!! She captured some of the most genuine moments of our day that we can cherish for years to come! Our outside wedding, which was hoped to be a beautiful sunny day, turned into rain but Amy was flexible in our day of plan to capture all the photos right before the rain really hit! Despite the grey sky, she made sure our photos turned out beautiful! She felt more of a friend/guest at our wedding than our photographer and we cannot recommend her enough!!

Working with Amy as our wedding photographer was unbelieveable. She was very timely in responding to emails, made wonderful suggestions for other vendors, and was so kind to all of our friends and family the day of the wedding. She went above and beyond at every opportunity and her pictures speak for themselves. Amazing experience

My wife and I can not say enough about working with Amy for our wedding. We were both nervous about having pictures taken but Amy made it so easy. She made us feel comfortable and allowed us to be us while capturing the best pictures. I look at our gallery and am able to relive our wedding day from start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about Amy! After watching Amy work at friends weddings as well as my two sisters' weddings, when my day finally came it was like working with a good friend all day. Amy is so personable and makes people feel so comfortable, while also being professional and artistic. The pictures came out GORGEOUS beyond belief. Incredible photography for May wedding LGBTQ couple

My wife and I had been following Amy Ann on social media for a while, even prior to being engaged, so when the time came to choose a photographer we already had a pretty good idea of who we wanted to work with. From our first meeting to now we have been overwhelmingly impressed with Amy’s organizational skills and professionalism. She did a wonderful job with our engagement photos and it was so nice getting to know her before the big day. She essentially timed out the whole afternoon and evening and really helped both of us with making sure the timeline made sense. She was flexible, patient, and accommodating to all of our requests and questions. She answered e-mails in an extremely timely manner and always checked in to make sure we didn’t have any other questions needing answered. We especially loved her long history of prioritizing inclusivity in her client base and representation on her website and social media. On the day of the wedding she made sure that things ran smoothly and was integral in keeping everyone on schedule. She captured our most important moments without being intrusive—to the point that both my wife and I hardly noticed her during the ceremony and reception (in the BEST possible way). She even kindly asked to steal us away mid-reception to capture some of the most amazing shots of the night (i.e., sweet rain pics). We are completely in love with our photos and are blown away by how she captured the total essence of our special day. Our friends and family have echoed these sentiments, so much so that two members of our bridal party have gone ahead and booked her for their March wedding. Her work certainly speaks for itself (check out her blog if you haven’t already) but it is her attention to detail, passion for her clients and her work, and helpfulness throughout the planning and execution process which is what truly sets Amy Ann’s photography apart.

Absolutely Amazing!

So far we’ve only had a consultation and booked her for our wedding. She was AMAZING during the consultation. Not only did she do 80% of the day of planning for us in the half hour we were there, but she gave us a bunch of suggestions to make our wedding even more fun. I’ve known her pictures were gorgeous for a while now, but her organization convinced me that she was who I needed on my wedding day!

Amy ann rocks

We could not have asked for a better photographer to help make our wedding a truly unforgettable and magical day. It started months before the wedding when Amy Ann sat down with my now-husband and me to discuss the various details for our special day. She was thorough, patient and unbelievably kind. And she had plenty of tips and advice - it was clear that she’s an absolute pro. On the day of the wedding, she was a true superhero. I swear it seemed like there were five of her. She was EVERYWHERE - always in the right place at the right time. And when it came to family pictures, she was great at getting everyone to listen to her instructions without coming across as bossy. For anyone that’s been part of a wedding party before, you know that’s rare. Unsurprisingly, our pictures are breathtaking. Every single picture captured looks like it took ten minutes to set up, when in actuality it took Amy Ann 2 seconds to shoot. She’s incredibly talented, and we cannot thank her enough for allowing us to relive our special day through her work whenever we want. Amazing Artist/Wedding Photographer

Amy was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer and more! Amy is professional, prompt, organized, kind, and is an extremely talented artist. Our photographs were awesome, they truly captured the joy of the day! Amy’s calm demeanor minimized the stress on our wedding day. She also assisted us with creating our day of timeline, but was flexible and willing to adjust to any needs we may have had on our big day. Her photos truly captured our love and we feel lucky to have had Amy Ann as our wedding photographer. She was there at all the right times during our wedding but also managed to be discreet. We absolutely LOVED working with Amy for our August 2018 wedding! She worked with us throughout the entire process to make sure everything would go perfectly on our wedding day; and it really did! Amy is a true professional, and she went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, and she was so great about communication and keeping everything running on schedule.

On the day of our wedding, Amy added to the fun and excitement, and she made sure we didn't have to worry about anything! She gave us location suggestions for our 1st look, she helped coordinate with the videographer, and she allowed us to 'be ourselves' with our bridal party so that she could capture the best pictures of these special moments.

When it came to the family portraits, ceremony and reception, Amy worked so efficiently to make sure that every moment would be remembered forever! She was everywhere we needed her to be, and she even found time to capture those perfectly candid shots that sometimes go unnoticed.

After our wedding, Amy gave us such a treat of a beautiful 'sneak peak' of our pictures which made us so excited for more to come! She even helped me surprise my dad on his birthday with a few extra surprise pictures! When we got all our pictures back, we were smiling from ear to ear! Our family was overjoyed with every picture and they could not be happier! Thank you Amy for truly capturing the love, joy, and excitement we felt on our wedding day... we can't thank you enough!

We knew we wanted to work with Amy before we were officially engaged. Amy photographed several of our friends' weddings so we had admired her work for awhile! We were a bit nervous about getting photographed because neither of us particularly like photographs of ourselves, but Amy made the whole experience a lot more fun and relaxing than we were expecting! We recently got our photos back from our end-of-December wedding and everyone (even hard to please family members!) cannot stop raving about them! We're so happy we were able to work with Amy and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. She has an amazing eye and attention for detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding! Amy is professional, creative, prompt, and patient. We love her style of photography because she captures emotions so well and she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera; which was a huge selling point for us. A true testament to Amy’s patience and compassion was when I was getting ready for our wedding. The hotel room we were getting ready in was small and full of people. I also had some dress issues which caused us to run a little behind schedule but Amy never rushed us and stayed in the room to make sure I was okay. Speaking of the schedule, she practically coordinated our whole wedding day for us, which was so helpful! We loved our engagement photos and we couldn’t be more satisfied with our wedding photos! I cannot say enough good things about Amy. I was planning my wedding from out of town and Amy made it so easy to communicate - she was prompt and flexible. Although I had not actually met Amy in person before my wedding day, I felt like she was my close friend the second she came into the room! She was organized, attentive, and made everyone feel comfortable. I knew I could trust her to do a fabulous job so I had one less thing to worry about that day. My husband and I are not big posed picture people, and we wanted to spend more time with our wedding guests - Amy understood this, and did a fabulous job moving us through our family portrait session as well as our bride and groom pictures with time to spare! And I have no doubt that her shots were perfection as she made a point to show us the kinds of photos she was taking. Since we finished ahead of schedule, it allowed for extra time to relax, enjoy some of the cocktail hour and mingle with guests. During the ceremony and reception Amy was discrete but also in all the right places at the right times! Amy's work is beautiful. But when selecting a photographer we also wanted someone that would help us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera, help us navigate a ton of family photo asks, and really capture the moments that meant the most to us. From our first meeting with Amy we felt at ease, her communication was always clear and detailed and she was incredibly responsive (which for some reason is rare among wedding vendors). Amy was more than happy to answer questions, make suggestions about what could work best and help the day flow easily and how to best manage our multiple family photos, tight timing and busy day. Amy was always in the right spot and I cannot thank her enough for snapping the emotion, excitement and special moments so beautifully.

Amy is awesome! I could go on and on about her true professionalism and talent, but I think that pretty much speaks for itself. Amy was by far the best vendor decision we made and we absolutely loved working with her on our wedding day. My favorite moment was when she (without hesitation) used the bottom of her dress to help dry my bouquet so my dress wouldn't get wet! One of the best parts of our wedding day was the support, encouragement, and joy of those surrounding and celebrating with us. Amy and Kim of Amy Ann Photography were certainly a part of that! I fell in love with Amy’s photos after I found her blog online, but Amy bring so much more to the table than just incredible photography. From our first interactions with Amy she was responsive, kind, enthusiastic, and impeccably organized. She contributed well beyond just taking photos: she was instrumental in helping us plan our timeline for the day and in advising us on photo locations, wedding vendors, etc. We absolutely loved spending time with her during our wedding day. To top it all off, her photos are stunning – I can hardly find the words to describe how blown away we were by her artistry. She was flexible as our plans changed throughout the day (thanks Ohio weather) and kept us sane throughout the night. Our wedding party and guests loved her and never felt uncomfortable or pressured by her presence. I used Amy Ann Photography to capture the precious moments of my proposal. Amy was amazing! She met me on site the week before, listened to my plan, and offered helpful types to get the best pictures as well as calm my nerves. Day of, Amy couldn’t have been better. Needless-to-say plans didn’t go according to schedule. At first it appeared we were going to be early, so Amy adjusted her schedule to accommodate. Then our activities were delayed, causing Amy to wait longer than anticipated. Once we finally arrived Amy stayed out of obvious view but still captured the magical moments leading up to, during, and immediately after our engagement! Amy Ann is AMAZING! My husband found her to capture our surprise proposal and she was so flexible to squeeze him in last minute to capture one of the most special days of our lives. We used her for our engagement photos next and she is just so awesome to work with. She is so nice and caring about her couples and her passion for the work truly shows in her pictures. She is so pleasant to be around and oh my goodness is she responsive. She was one of my top vendors for making me feel at ease because I always knew whatever questions I had she would get back with me promptly, sometimes even within the hour :) She always made sure to answer all of my questions and provided us with really great suggestions. She saw us through to our wedding day and has given us preview photos to get us through until we receive all of our photos. We just know they will be incredible! Amy was fabulous! My partner and I chose Amy for our engagement and wedding pictures. She accommodated us and allowed our four children to come along to our engagement shoot for some family pictures as well. The weather was frigid; however, Amy never faltered. Her willingness to brave the cold to ensure our having the best pictures possible was admirable. She consoled crying children, making them laugh for beautiful shots. She shared her scarf to make our youngest feel warmer. We cannot express our appreciation for her warmth and professionalism towards our family! She is timely with email correspondence, as she was in getting our photos to us.

We hired Amy to shoot both an engagement session in addition to being our day of wedding photographer, and we are incredibly happy with the results. It was obvious to us from day one that Amy had a great passion for both photography and weddings, and in shows in her work ethic and commitment to her art. Amy was extremely professional during all of our communications with her, and she returned email communications within a couple of hours at the longest. She was always a joy to work with, and she continuously had great ideas on how to make everything turn out fantastic. During the day of the wedding, Amy was able to capture countless candid moments without interfering with the festivities in the slightest. Amy and her assistant did not miss a single smile, hug, or laugh during the entire day. She was also able to help us write an impromptu statement before the ceremony for our guests (this is totally not her job, but she was more than happy to help!). Amy was the photographer for our engagement picture session and she was wonderful! Very responsive to all of my questions before the shoot, not only about logistics (where, when) but also suggestions about what to wear, etc., to make the most of it. During the shoot, she was fun and easy to work with, and brought creativity and passion - she wasn't just going through the motions! And afterward, the pictures were delivered exactly when she said they would, and we were very happy with them! We couldn't ask for anything better.

We first contacted Amy after seeing her beautiful work and favorable reviews online. After our initial meeting, Amy's highly organized and detail-oriented work style impressed us just as much, and we decided to book her immediately. Throughout the planning and prep process, Amy was responsive, helpful, and always had a genuinely positive attitude, which was much appreciated as we got closer to the big day. My bridesmaid and I met with Amy a couple of months before my wedding at her home office . Amy was cheerful and friendly the whole time. She is amazing to work with , a true professional and a supportive friend through the stressful/enjoyable time . Here are some of the great things about her that I noticed while working with her.

Time: Amy is always on time , be it emails or appointments or photos that she needs to deliver to you . She is always on time.
Questions : Apart from answering my questions , Amy often had questions for me . Those questions helped me plan and schedule a perfect time-line for my wedding day . She helps you capture some details that you may have forgotten with the million things we end up doing.
Comfort: She made me and my husband comfortable at all times . She captured moments that are unique to us a couple purely by giving us the comfort zone to be able to be that way .
Strength: I am not sure where she gets her stamina from , both my engagement and wedding day were reasonably cold days , She was more cheerful than we were to be outside :) Well I complained a lot more than she did :P
Encouragement: Her encouragement truly kept us going at some times ! She kept reminding us that its one of the biggest days of our life , encouraging us to get more fun pictures . Well truly when I look at those pictures now , I am thankful for her encouragement and support . There is so much more about her that I can keep talking ! But here are some of the things that is on the top of my head right now . Amy was a delight to work with! She was incredibly responsive and was a great resource for brainstorming photography locations that fit the look we wanted. She was very positive and made talking about wedding details fun and easy. When I thought we were going to have wedding day rain a few days before our wedding, she was quick to respond with creative ways to make the best of our day. In the end, we didn't have rain but it was quite chilly. She did an excellent job of photographing us outside, keeping the mood fun and light (even though it was cold), and not appearing phased by the weather.

Where to start? I am an amateur photographer, so letting go of photography on the most important event in my life was difficult. However, having followed Amy's work for a few years the decision was easy to hire her. Now that the wedding went awesome and we have fantastic images to capture it all I can say for sure that Amy was great, start to finish.

From the beginning it was always so easy to get a hold of Amy. Messaging on facebook, email or by phone. Always was accessible and ready to answer questions we may have.

Given her lengthy experience with weddings she was able to even help make suggestions on things such as schedules. Amy had us put together list of the images we wanted to capture. different combinations of family pictures and bridal party pictures. The Bride did not want to have pictures of us together before the ceremony (traditional) so having this schedule helped ensure that our time between the ceremony and reception was not only well used and quick but we also got all the shots we wanted.

We wanted to make sure wanted nothing but the best for pictures, after all the day goes so fast its imperative to have those pictures to remember every moment by. With a venue so big we used her package in which we hired a second shooter so we could get big shots as well as tight in shots. The second shooter she had working with her was fantastic and professional as well. Additionally her husband helped with her general support as well as with lighting during the reception. As a result we had just clear, well lit (not burnt), no harsh shadows, no motion blur in all of our reception pictures (which were in a dark theater).

Amy's eye for composition is unique, dynamic, and modern. She managed to capture details of the day. Just look at her portfolio, you'll see!

Our photo collection from the day is just incredible, I am not left saying 'I wish she'd have capture this, or that'. We are so glad we hired Amy and you will be too!

Amy did an absolutely amazing job photographing our wedding. She was professional, personable and always willing to answer any question or address any concern/anxiety about the wedding process in a timely and down-to-Earth way. She was always clear about timeline and deadlines so that I always felt that I understood the process ahead. In many ways she was as helpful to us with putting the timing of my wedding together as a professional wedding planner would have been. Needless to say, we are so grateful for everything Amy did for us.

And the pictures! Amy was a real pro when it came to the day-of photographs. I knew I wanted Amy to take the photos at my wedding before I was even engaged, as I had seen her work from friends' weddings. Amy is extremely friendly and very responsive, which is key when you are stressing about every little detail during the planning process. My husband and I had a half engagement session, which really helped us to feel comfortable with the photography process. Amy arrived early on the actual wedding day, and was extremely professional and gave me a few previews of her shots which made me even more excited as they were perfect. Amy was not only our photographer, but became friend and confidant, as she used her wedding experience and helped me plan the event schedule for the wedding day. It was so much to do and think about, and with her expertise and experience she knew my time constraints, and quickly organized a calendar and timed each event, for ease of photo opportunity. Highly recommend Amy Ann Photography!!! She was fun to work with---for both our engagement photos & wedding day, and takes great photos!! My wife and I were married this past July. My wife is Asian and I am African American; we had a very large two ceremony wedding that incorporated both cultures and lasted roughly 15 hours on a Saturday.

We were extremely satisfied with the service and quality of pictures that Amy did for our wedding. Amy was very easy to work with and she did an outstanding job with our wedding day. We had a very large wedding party (18 total) and 300+ guest.

The quality of the work was excellent and we were left with 1800+ pictures that she shot for our dual ceremony.

Amy was willing to work with our budget; and I would highly recommend speaking with her about taking care of your event.

Lastly I think character speaks the loudest about a business and or a person; I wanted to share an experience that occurred that speaks to Amy and her business excellence: My wife organized a trolley through a vendor; and two days before our wedding the trolley company called and told us that the trolley had not been repaired yet from an accident a few weeks prior and that we would have to use a trolley with no A/C for our middle of July wedding. Amy got wind of this; and she called around and referred us to several vendors that were able to accommodate us. In short; she found a vendor that met our needs and though this had nothing to do with our contract she took care of us.

Amy, thank-you so much for the quality work; and high level of professionalism. You will not find another photographer like her in the industry; (We searched the Columbus and Cincinnati market) by far the best!

I had seen Amy's work on Facebook and was blown away by how emotional and personal her work was. During our engagement session with her, we discovered firsthand how fun it was to work with her. We are not the type who love being in front of the camera, but Amy made it comfortable, and by the end of the day, we were having a blast. Our engagement photos came out wonderfully, and we were thrilled when we were able to work with Amy to book her for our out-of-state wedding. Amy orchestrated a special first-look photo session for us, followed by our bridal party pictures and the rest of our wedding day. The first thing that struck me about Amy was her response time. When I initially contacted her to set up a meeting and possibly use her services, I had a response within a couple of hours of sending the e-mail. Any time I contacted her, it never took more than a few hours for her to respond. This was very much appreciated while we struggled to try to get in touch with the other vendors who sometimes took days to respond.

Amy is extremely professional in all situations, but is also a lot of fun to be around! She was willing to put her own personal discomfort aside to make sure she got the perfect shot for us on multiple occassions. As has been stated in other reviews, she possesses ninja-like stealth on the wedding day. I don't recall seeing her at all during the ceremony, but it is clear from the photographs that she was running around getting photos from every angle.

Most important of all, the quality of the photos that we received was spectacular. More than one person has commented that, "Whatever [we] paid her, it wasn't enough." She did a fantastic job of capturing the emotion and energy of the day. We truly enjoyed working with Amy and would highly recommend her to all of our family and friends!

I used Amy Ann Photography for engagement photos and wedding photos. Amy was fabulous! For our wedding we requested a second shooter, Katie, who did a great job as well. Both Amy and Katie were great to work with on our wedding day. They got all of the photos I was hoping they would get without getting in the way and letting us enjoy our day, very inconspicuous. When we got our photos back, it was so neat to see all of the things I didn't get to see on the day of - like guests arriving, the bridal party coming down the aisle and the look on me and my husband's faces during the ceremony. I do wish I had thought about asking Amy or Katie to get take a few more photos with certain family/friends but that is my own fault. It was either too late or too difficult to gather the people I was looking for.

My husband and I were just married on August 3rd of this year and we found Amy through a friend of mine. Before I called her, I read the reviews on The Knot's website and everyone seemed to love her, so we decided to meet w/her. Hiring Amy was absolutely one of the best choices we made during our wedding planning process. It was clear from our our first meeting that she was going to be perfect for us. She really listened to what our vision of the wedding looked like and captured our day and all its details exactly how we had imagined. In the months leading up to the wedding, she helped us by giving us helpful hints and tips and always ended her e-mails by offering any help or advice if we needed it. As we had planned the entire wedding by ourselves, she even helped us by serving as a coordinator on the big day. She was so fun and easy to work with, even our family members and bridal party commented on how wonderful and fun she was to work with! Amy also worked incredibly hard. We were so impressed with her focus and stamina - she never stopped running around and shooting from the minute she arrived on site until the party ended. After receiving the final photographs, we were amazed at how she not only captured every single moment, but she did it beautifully. Our pictures turned out better than we ever could have imagined. She really captured the essence of our wedding in every single photograph. Her aesthetic is young, fresh, creative, and most of all, beautiful. We are beyond thrilled with the final photographs and will most definitely choose to work with Amy again for any photography needs we may have in the future!

Amy was an amazing wedding photographer! She is kind, easy to work with, respectful, very reasonably priced (especially for all she offers!!), professional,fun, creative and most of all the day of your wedding makes you feel like everything is going go smoothly! She was prepared and orgainzed ready to tell people where to go and what do for pictures. Our engagment session was also SO much fun! She came up with ideas I would have never thought to do. I would recommend Amy to anyone!

Amy is a fantastic photographer! We were lucky enough to have her capture both engagement photos and our wedding, and now there are hundreds and hundreds of sweet, flattering, and creative photos to show for it. She was very professional, responding to emails in a timely manner and getting us our photos more quickly than I ever expected after the wedding. She was more than happy to travel out of the Columbus area for our wedding - I am so happy I stumbled across her and would highly recommend her services to anyone in Columbus or beyond looking for a great photographer for an engagement, wedding, or other life event.

Amy captured the most beautiful images at my commitment ceremony on April 6, 2013. My partner and I did not have any worries about the service Amy would provide after meeting with her, viewing her work, and understanding that we were booking a true professional. Planning a wedding is definitely a stressful time. Choosing reliable and quality professionals is key!
Amy shot our friends' wedding last summer, and we couldn't stop talking about how great her work was!
After hiring Amy for our own wedding, my husband and I never had any doubts or worries concerning her work. She was professional, reliable, and friendly throughout the entire process. She helped us step by step with each and every detail. She was even interested in how Jason and I met, our story as a couple, our interests, and our vision for our wedding day.
Amy traveled all the way from Ohio to TEXAS to capture our big day (yes, she travels, and it's worth it!). As I was busy getting ready the morning of the wedding, she even recruited a tree climbing family friend to make sure she got a spectacular shot of my (HUGE) dress hanging from a tree.
Since my husband and I are both former photography/art students, choosing a high quality, artistic photographer was one of our top priorities. Amy's work is original, beautiful, and captures sincere emotion. Her images are never cheesy or overdone.
Jason and I rarely feel comfortable keeping quiet and not giving direction when someone else is behind the camera, which is actually an issue we had with our engagement photographer. However, we trusted Amy so much that we were able to just enjoy being together while she captured all of our special moments!
Amy is also great at capturing the important moments without drawing a lot of attention or "getting in the way". As Jason says, "she's a ninja!!!"
We hope that in the future Amy can capture more of our family's big moments, and we absolutely recommend her to capture all of yours!

Amy has a very positive attitude and bright personality - the atmosphere during both photo shoots was playful and relaxed. The engagement and wedding photographs were very natural and reflected our special day in exactly the way we remember experiencing it. Amy was professional, engaged, and showed a genuine interest in making sure we were happy with the results. I have no reservation about giving her the highest possible rating and urge anyone who needs a creative and adaptable photographer (and not just for weddings) to contact Amy.
